No empire lasts Forever No Dynasty continues Unbroken
In the fight for political supremacy over the legacy of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP Split), there was some gain for each side that played some role, except Chirag Paswan. But the way Chirag Paswan has bounced back, the scene has changed to a great extent.
In the politics of Bihar, this fight of uncle-nephew seems like Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav of Uttar Pradesh, but like Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is in favor of giving ‘inheritance to the son’, Ram Vilas Paswan had also given Chirag Paswan his worth, a long time ago. While formally declaring his successor, he had also handed over the command of Lok Janshakti Party – and now Chirag Paswan is moving forward only using those rights.
It is true that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has accepted Pashupati Kumar Paras as the leader of LJP in the House, but it has only immediate significance. The final decision will be taken in the court and things will be decided after the stand of the Election Commission and whatever happens will be done according to the constitution of Lok Janshakti Party.
As national president, Chirag Paswan has written a letter to the speaker, asking him to reconsider his decision and replace Pashupati Kumar Paras and make him the leader of the parliamentary party. Chirag Paswan has called the application received by the Speaker against the party rules and said that according to the rules of LJP, only the national president can choose the leader of the parliamentary party!
The fact is that LJP has a total of 6 MPs including Chirag Paswan – and with the five being united, Chirag Paswan is left alone. Four MPs have accepted Pashupati Kumar Paras as their leader and the speaker has also recognized him in the Lok Sabha.
All this has happened at a time when many leaders are eagerly waiting for the change in Modi cabinet 2.0 and Chirag Paswan was also preparing to stake claim on his father’s cabinet post, only then JDU played a game for the purpose of avenging the fight during assembly elections 2020. JDU leaders fired arrows and it hit the target. What is visible in front is the result of the same Politics behind the scenes.
According to Sources , JDU had offered that One seat of MLC will go to the account of 4 MPs who rebelled in LJP and one seat of MLA will go to the account of one MP.
Deal was done through Surajbhan Singh. Sources related to LJP reveal that Chirag Paswan had more faith in Surajbhan Singh than his uncle Pashupati Paras. Suraj Bhan changed his mind after coming in contact with the JDU leadership. Gradually, he started cutting the roots of LJP, in which he also got success.
There are some questions about the whole incident, in the answers of which lies the future of Lok Janshakti Party and Chirag Paswan – and yes, this is just a trailer, the picture is yet to come!
The story of the rebellion against Chirag is quite interesting. The strings of the war that has broken out in LJP are also connecting with JDU because its foundation is lying there. The reason for this foundation being laid is also a similar war going on within JDU. At present, that war within JDU is in the form of cold war, but what turn it will take in future cannot be said now because JDU is not a family party like LJP.
The inner battle of JDU took place even before RCP Singh was made the president and Prashant Kishor also got trapped in it and one day he was shown the way out. Like RCP Singh, there are other leaders in JDU as contenders for the post of president, but when they miss, they keep doing something on their behalf to keep the trust of Nitish Kumar.
Jitan Ram Manjhi also becomes an undeclared spokesperson only to restore his closeness with Nitish Kumar. In a way, Manjhi speaks the same things that Nitish Kumar cannot say. The name of Lalan Singh aka Rajeev Ranjan, who is involved in such a competition, has jumped loudly throughout the LJP episode.
Pashupati Kumar Paras will also have to walk according to BJP in the same way as Chirag Paswan has been walking till now.
Political opponents of Nitish Kumar believe that Nitish Kumar has avenged Chirag Paswan for damaging JDU in the assembly elections by handing over this task to Lalan Singh, but it is also discussed that Lalan Singh did the sabotage at his own level. Woven taunts so that Nitish Kumar’s close friends can take a little lead on RCP Singh.
Now it also needs to be understood that did all the LJP MPs suddenly agree to revolt against Chirag Paswan?
The question is also whether Pashupati Kumar Paras suddenly became so powerful that the rest accepted him as the leader?
The resentment against Chirag Paswan was already there, outside elements have only fueled the fire, but that too was not that easy. Such leaders take the path of rebellion only or come under pressure from the ruling party only when there is some greed or they are compelled due to some weakness.
Whatever be the aftermath of this split, JDU will surely be benefited from this!
