Recent developments at LAC are surely a moment to reckon with pride for all the Indians & defence aficionados. All the ’10 janpath journos’ & politicians who said ‘Surrender Modi‘ gave away land to China are shocked to hear about India capturing heights of Black Top hill near Rezang La & Reqin la , which China claims lies within 4 km inside Chinese perception of LAC & India calls it a place lying within Indian perception of LAC ; thwarting Chinese intention of expanding area of conflict further to dormant areas.

This is first time after 1967 when India took the offensive position at the LAC . Gen Sagat singh during 1967 confrontation with China at Nathu La opened direct & indiscriminatory firing without exaggeration which made China to leave the position within 3 days & draw back their army.

Same situation is at LAC now with major areas being F4 – F8. Army & top leadership in past few months have shown admiriable courage to face this 2 front crisis synonymously at LAC & LOC. After long time biding process of months with multiple failed talks at diplomatic & military level, India now outmanoeuvred the possibility of de-escalation on the China’s terms & conditions.

What happened on 29-30 Aug is a proof of India’s military capability which makes Indian army one of the most aggressive & hawkish-natured army in the world. The mission was carried forward by Vikas battalion of Special Frontier Force which traumatized PLA about the intensity & rapidness of mission.

Too much military information in public domain is a threat to national security considering which not a lot of sensitive information regarding the events occured during 29-31 Aug & what followed it are being communicated.

What we know so far is, Indian flags are dominating the hilly areas around Pangong Tso and even Spanggur lake also.

Indian army pushed back China & captured the Black Top mountain area which can be considered as an gray area & was buffer zone up until very recent, uncaptured & unhindered by any of the two armies .
Duing tactical ops in hilly areas & Mountain warfare, it is commonly said “Hills are merciless & eat the mens”, taking which into consideration, massive reinforcement & counter attack positions are very important which India has now arranged & occupied in both the areas around south of Pangong tso & Chusul.

After the incident , mechanised infantry regiment & armoured tank regiment with T-90 Bhishma , T-72 Ajeya tanks & Anti tank guided missiles (ATGMs) took the top positions which are now in direct confrontational line of action with Chinese tanks & weapons.

Any misadventure at any given time may lead to open confrontation b/w two armies. Chinese military & northern theatre command is deeply frustrated & shocked by the India’s offensive- defensive position for which it is issuing ultimatums through it’s mouthpiece ~ Global Times & at the same time holding talks at Brigade-commander level to diffuse the situation & return to the status quo agreed during last few talks earlier.
