The TRS has made inroads in Huzurnagar, which has been a baston for the Congress since 2009.

With the Exit -polls coming to pass, the pink party is leading in the Huzurnagar by-election. While the congress is on its way to lose  one more MLA seat to TRS.

TRS candidate Mr Saidi Reddy was leading by 18,682 votes by 10th round. The counting for Nereducharla, Palakaveedu and Mathampalli mandals has been completed and TRS recorded majority votes. TRS has been maintaining lead in every round so far till the 10th round.

Meanwhile, 11 candidates complained to the returning officer demanding for counting VV Pat slips.

The counting, on Thursday  began at 8pm and the TRS has been leading in every round.  Mr Saidi Reddy  has earlier forecasts 50,000 majority saying Huzurnagar people realized about Congress failure in developing the constituency.

“People’s trust in the TRS introduced welfare schemes, development activity of party and commitment of the Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao paved the way for the party win in Huzurnagar constituency. The Congress and BJP have got their answers.  The confidence of people in KCR ruling is clearly visible as our party is leading in every round and every booth-wise also. I am confident of majority over 50,000 votes. We get clear lead in all the seven mandals in Huzurnagar Assembly constituency. Huzurnagar people realized that the constituency had been lagging in development because of Congress MLA. That’s the reason they decided to elect TRS,” said Mr Saidi Reddy.

The assembly constituency for the first time since 2009 has voted in large numbers for a non Congress candidate.

TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy won from  Huzurnagar Assembly  in 2009, 2014 and 2018 .

The officials of the election commission – Telangana state are likely to released the result by Thursday afternoon.
