BJP made congress to eliminate the left in Kerala – some insights for the left

0

Ironically even some left party leaders boast so loudly that BJP could not enter Kerala and TN.  How long the left party can burry its head under sand and can continue to fool itself by believing that the whole world around the party is dark.

The left has more reason to worry than boast over the fact that BJP could not win even a single seat in Kerala. In fact the left has not only lost its vote base and relevance but also has lost its identity and ideology to congress party in the last parliament election.

The General Secretary of the left always wants to align with congress party and wants the congress party to win to save India, its secularism and democracy. Congress has used the same card of Sitaram Yechury that even the general secretary of left wants congress to win so why people of Kerala should vote for left and instead they should vote directly to the congress party.  Such an appeal in fact consolidated as much of minority community than Hindus thus congress party won but cleverly eliminated the left from its last bastion – Kerala.

For BJP, both the dynastic congress party and left must go from Kerala and only then Modi can really develop Kerala to as a model state in the world.  In fact the growth of BJP in Kerala scared the congress party and the only choice left before the congress party was to stab the left party from its back and eliminate the party from Kerala and makes the contest in the state bi-polar between congress and BJP.

Congress party fearing the definite defeat of its dynast in Amethi, presented the dynast to the people of Wayanad and also tactically used the urge and long desire of Sitaram Yechury to align with congress party and be its second fiddle, to the people of Kerala to vote directly to congress party than to the left.

If the left party really wants to re-invent its identity and ideology as the party of working class, must oppose the congress party than Hindutva agenda. So far the left has described and defined the congress party as party of capitalist and BJP as party of Hindutva. Unfortunately the left party lost is ideology in-between and started to oppose BJP than congress party and started to act as the second fiddle of congress party. Its core ideology of working class it left in oblivion.

BJP is growing steadily and swiftly in Kerala and the day is not far away all those who worship Lord Ram and Lord Krishna would join the band waggon of Modi. The only hope for the left party to revive itself is only by defeating the congress party.

This is the right time for the left party to hit the congress party hard as congress is all time low both politically, ideologically and morally. Sooner the left hit the congress party hard and weaken it, left will be heard again in Kerala otherwise the left would be totally left out by the voters in India.

An ant which was all along opposing anteater cannot join suddenly with an anteater to oppose Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. To regain the lost ground, the left must ruthlessly oppose and expose the congress party than attack BJP. As long as the left attack BJP, left cannot gain anything politically.

Left party must list out all the past mis-governances of congress party, how the congress party had dismissed the elected government of EM Sankaran Namboothiripad government (CPIM)  in Kerala, how the congress party suppressed the voice of working class by clamping emergency, how the congress party ruined India by arbitrarily dismissing several state governments and imposed unnecessary and unwanted election burden on different states in India almost every year, how corrupt was the governance of congress party, how capitalist is the culture of congress party and that is why it still wants the family rule and not inner democracy within the party etc.

Left has no other choice other than oppose and eliminate the congress party from the political map of India. If the left party instead of invoking its working class socialistic ideology and branding congress party as party of feudal lords, Leutyens of Delhi and capitalists’, cannot retrace its lost path.

Hindutva is a uniting spirit and ethos of India and therefore opposing Hindutva, good and corruption free governance of Narendra Modi, the vision of PM Modi to enforce one India, one election, all can only shrink the continuously shrinking base of the left party.

Like the proverbial saying, hit the iron when it is hot, hit the congress party when it is weak historically and revive the left ideology. Family rule, dynastic rule and corrupt rule will not find any place hereafter in Indian politics and therefore it is wise for the left not to oppose BJP agenda and instead eliminate congress party from Indian politics.

Modi 2.0- What it means for healthcare

0

As the chaos and confusion of the great Indian election season dies down and the re-elected Mr. Narendra Modi and his ministers take oath following a roaring victory, it is time to look forward to what is ahead and focus on the challenges for Modi 2.0 and his team of cabinet ministers. With opposition decimated and NDA set to win a majority in Rajya Sabha by 2020, PM Modi will enjoy unprecedented power and autonomy with very few political and social constraints. This will give him the freedom to implement and execute newer reforms that can change the way healthcare is viewed in India.

Over the past 4 years India made a few improvements on health indicators and eliminated Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus in 2015. India also intensified its Mission Indradhanush program to include 4 additional vaccines and rolled out the ambitious Ayushman Bharat health scheme. The flagship healthcare scheme of Mr. Narendra Modi- led NDA government, now renamed as PM Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), has been met with wide admiration and criticism alike from national and international stakeholders. This ambitious scheme offers an insurance coverage of Rs. 5 lakhs per family, estimated to cover about 500 million Indians, a magnanimous task both in terms of implementation and monitoring. Government has also effectively attempted to cutting down the prices of cardiac stents and has tried to regulate the prices of other implants and prostheses. Health had always been a low priority for policymakers and politicians in India. PM Modi, to some extent, was successful in making healthcare a political subject in India by rollingout PMJAY, and getting one step closer to Universal Health Coverage.

The world is looking at India on how it handles its largest and most ambitious healthcare plan ever through a two pronged approach- insurance coverage to 500 million individuals and creation of 150,000 wellness centers across India. While visionary and innovative, massive policies like these always run into serious financial and resource constraints over time. Additionally limited human resources and budgetary constraints in several states makes it difficult to establish wellness centers in these states. As with the demonetization issue, where the motive was clear- that of formalizing Indian economy and clearing out black money- but lacked major implementation and execution issues, PM Modi’s policies for his second term will have similar resurrections.

However Universal Health Coverage is not the only issue that will dominate the conversation in healthcare sector in next 5 years. If India plans to show its improved stance towards healthcare to global players, it will have to soon deal with issues such as Mental Health, Non-Communicable Diseases, Anti-Microbial Resistance and Climate Change- all cases of utmost concern both at global and national level. The newly introduced National Medical Commission (NMC) bill will play a decisive factor in regulation of medical sector both in private and public space. Replacing Medical Council of India as the apex body to maintain standards of medical education, regulate medical practice and give approvals to medical colleges; it has received wide criticism for its proposal of a bridge course for practitioners of AYUSH.

It remains to be seen how the succeeding government deals with it. The new government will soon have to engage with a new rising stakeholder in Indian healthcare scenario- youths. A meaningful youth participation at decision making table has a great potential for visionary and innovative policies and staying relevant to the rising young population of India. Amongst other issues that may need to be tackled at the earliest by the re-elected NDA government, creation of jobs specifically for youth, will be at the top of headlines. Healthcare is one of the biggest sector in terms of revenue and employment in India and may act as a big sources of employment for skilled but unemployed youths of India.

For Prime Minister Modi to roll out his ambitious plans and show his seriousness towards healthcare issues, he’ll need a foundationally strong health ministry, supported by a team of advisors who are experts in health policy and economics. With the appointment of doctor-turned-politician Dr. Harsh Vardhan as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Prime Minister Modi has clearly indicated that he means business. Dr. Harsh Vardhan has a clear track record and a stellar performance in his previous roles in government. He has been credited for overseeing successful implementation of Pulse Polio Program and was instrumental in bringing the first anti-tobacco laws of the country which prohibited smoking in public place. This experience will help in attainment of Tuberculosis and Malaria elimination goals while strengthening primary healthcare services. His additional portfolio as Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences means that health ministry can comfortably collaborate with these ministries and harness the power of science, technology and innovation to achieve substantial goals within a reasonable time frame.

Mr. Modi needs to expand his “home delivery of services” model to include healthcare services under it. A “Digital India” is incomplete without covering healthcare services under its gambit. Inclusion of modern technological tools will make it easier to execute and monitor principle healthcare programs. India is emerging as a major “Startup Economy” and it needs to build on it to promote innovative startups and models in healthcare sector that can help reduce private health expenditure and widen the healthcare coverage. Credible incentives must include loan waivers and subsidies to individuals and organizations willing to establish healthcare services in rural and remote areas. Given the rising demands for quality healthcare services, government needs to strengthen public healthcare system and frame regulations to streamline the growth of private healthcare market.

A key factor that throttles India’s growth in healthcare sector is dismal proportion of healthcare professionals, specifically doctors. Creation of new jobs, filling vacant positions, offering opportunity and skill training will mitigate rising emigration of healthcare professionals to OECD countries for jobs and training. Replacing “100 days agenda” with a “1000 days agenda” is an opportunity to replace crumbling models and policies with innovative, futuristic and inclusive healthcare policies. Moreoverwith Dr. Dr. Soumya Swaminathan as Deputy Director General of Programmes at WHO and Mr. Harsh Vardhan’s experience of working with WHO- there is a golden opportunity for India to form successful collaborations with WHO.

India will celebrate its 75 years of freedom in 2022 and it remains to be seen how the government projects healthcare as one of its success stories in spite of years of slow growth, debacles, challenges and dismal resources. Health is a fundamental right of an individual and it is high time that it is given its justified priority among other political issues at discussion.

Mana Kutumbam

0

My father comes from a huge family. He has 5 brothers and a younger sister. And in the next generation we are 20 of us. 10 girls and 10 boys. Ever since I can remember my childhood days, my aunt, who was married and used to live in Chennai used to visit us in Hyderabad for the summer holidays and stay at each of her brother’s home for a few days. This helped in getting 20 cousins of varied age groups, of different mentalities whether good or bad under one roof at different places for a month. The fun we had, the arguments and debates that ensued, the games we played and the warmth we shared are memories that will always be with me.

But what we all cherish to this day is the thought of our parents, to not let distance and their busy work life getting in the way of us 20 cousins getting to know each other. While I can’t personally speak for how each of us individually were changed by this bond, I can definitely speak for myself. I was a kid with a short temper and massive inferiority complex. And I would say that the time I spent with my brothers and sisters during those holidays slowly but surely changed me into a more confident and stable person.

You see, the best part about being with my Nanduri group is that they never made me feel like a loser even if I lost nor did they pinpoint my shortcomings. What they did was patiently be there for me and help me understand myself better by their love and compassion. We never believed that we belong to different families even though our fathers and mothers weren’t the same. Yes we all had our individual lives and we all worked hard to get where we wanted to. But at the back of our minds we always knew we had a strong support system in the form of our cousins.

The underlying factor here was we believed in the concept of a unifying family with different ideas and thoughts. We don’t judge, we don’t impose. We share and we care. The best part is, now even the next generation of kids are also a part of this huge get togethers we have now. It creates an atmosphere of wellness and trust, when a huge gathering of different people ranging from ages of 01 to 75 love each other simply because we believe in the concept of a United family.

What started as a family of two individuals with my paternal grandparents has reached 75 and more. Some of us live in India, some abroad. Some of our eldest sisters and brothers children have also joined the group and some of those children have kids of their own. It makes for an absolute spectacle when all of us gather under one roof and bring that roof down with our shenanigans. That is what Unity brings I suppose. A sense of invincibility, pride and absolute unadulterated joy.

Sometimes it is easy to be aloof and distant from everybody and everyone. But what it creates is a bubble. One from which a person only views his ideas as sacrosanct and others unworthy. That is what ails some of the people in our nation now. They have all started living in a bubble and any ideas, like that of our honourable PM, when he says Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas aur Sabka Vishwas, are viewed from communal angle rather than an honest attempt to unite a vastly varied diaspora of people. Any attempt to support his ideas are viewed from the prism of “Liberal” Hindutva while the real meaning is often cloaked in misinterpretation and abuse.

If anything, my family reunions have taught me the value of unity in diversity. We all might belong to the same religion, caste and family but each of us are very strong minded individuals with different interpretations of what each of us believe in. It doesn’t divide us. Rather it gives us a platform to learn from each other and root out the bad in us while at the same time making us better individuals.

All of us cousins gathered once again to celebrate at the death anniversary of my dad’s eldest brother and younger sister, who both died within days of each other, from 10-06-2019 to 17-06-2019. Yes I did use the word celebrate and not mourn. Because for all of us, it was that. We celebrated their lives and memories and we recalled all those wonderful times we had. Some of us are properly meeting each other after 16 years and some of us, even though we live in the same city are busy with our day to day lives and hence hardly meet. Yet the one week that we spent together as our caravan of cousins moved from home to home, rejuvenated us and filled us with immense joy.

And that is what Shri Narendra Modi has been advocating. When he appealed to the opposition to come forth and unite to make a better India during this present Parliament session. I hope better sense prevails and the opposition unites with the Government. The reason I have talked about my family is, in a way that is what a true democracy is all about. Large families of people coming together with the idea of making a better tomorrow for our future generation and laying the foundation for them to be better than us.

Now is the time for the Parliament of our country to set an example. Show the world that our different cultures, religions, languages and ideas will not hinder our progress but would rather strengthen our democracy. Show the world that if all of us unite and work towards a common goal and a better tomorrow, there is absolutely no force, which can stop us from being the best. Let the opposition unite to question the Government on real issues. Let the focus be on ensuring that the Government performs and any shortcomings are immediately pointed out. Any healthy democracy needs a vibrant opposition. And for the people of the country to trust the opposition, it is time they stand up and deliver for the benefit of the nation rather than individual ambition and ego.

As a young kid, I saw an elder cousin of mine, wax eloquence about NASA and it’s great contribution to the world of science and he left India to the US  to achieve his ambition and fulfill his dream. It had a profound impact on me. The question in my mind at that time was, why did India not have something like that? After years and years of struggle filled with corruption, greed and individual self preservation, our country has finally woken up and said enough is enough and started holding our politicians responsible.

The question that I had as a young kid, is now in the minds of most of the younger generation now. They don’t want to go to some other country to achieve their dreams far away from their families living as aliens and trying to rebuild their lives from scratch. The younger generation wants to be here and be a part of the growth story because we finally have a Government willing to give wings to the aspirations of it’s people.

It’s now time for the opposition to Stand up and deliver. It’s time for the opposition to believe in “Mana Kutumbam” and deliver for the Indian Family by putting aside their prejudices, egos and individual ambitions. Bharat is no longer going to live in awe of other countries but wants to be looked at in awe and it is time for the opposition to ensure they don’t fail.

Jai Hind!

India needs one more right-wing party which is further right of the BJP

0

Many of those, who are fighting for equal rights of the majority community, ending the appeasement politics or subsidies driven governance from India, have always wanted a party like BJP in power for a long term. Prime Minister Modi’s re-election to power for another term with the majority is a step towards that aim. But, healing of the cells of a country which have been severely attacked by the ‘free radicals of the left-wing’ requires some radical treatment before they develop into cancer. And, radical reforms required at that scale can’t be brought in some 5 or 10-years phenomena. Based on the various observations of social media, it can be said that a right-wing party like BJP needs to be in power for at least the next 20 years with a similar level of majority.

Why another right-wing party?

In a democracy, people tend to change governments generally known as anti-incumbency voting. This may happen to BJP anytime, especially in the absence of a leader like Narendra Modi.

Also, even after PM Modi’s re-election, the political discourse in India continues to be dominated by the left-liberal cabal. To change this, India needs to change its political spectrum. In India, the left wing has been dominated by far-left for way too long which always tried to shame the majority community or demolish the economy by keeping it on socialist mode.

In new India, both mainstream parties should be right of the centre parties which essentially mean both competing with each other for radical economic reforms and fixing the loopholes in Indian constitutional scheme. BJP itself needs to push for such a party so that continuity of right-wing parties will help in bringing reforms without any interruption. Currently, Congress comes back to power and undo many things done by BJP. It has been seen at the national level in the post-Vajpayee era but has been noted at the state level quite often. For example, the BJP government in Rajasthan tried to teach students about Veer Savarkar. But, as soon as Ashok Gehlot led Congress government was sworn in, it deleted chapters on Veer Savarkar. Thus, to maintain or expand the work of the BJP government, another right-wing party is needed.

How current circumstances favour the formation of another right-wing party?

The need of another right-wing party (right of the BJP) apart from BJP has become very crucial in the current political scenario of the country. The current political scenario shows that left will be eliminated completely from the country in the near future. Congress is struggling very hard for its revival which seems unlikely, at least as a brute force, even in next 10 years. There is a ‘vacuum of opposition’ in the country. It should also be understood here that 37.4% people of India have rejected the left-liberal politics in the country and this may become 45% (in linear progression between 2014 and 2019) by the time of next general election in 2024. These trends show that there is a great upsurge in the consciousness of the majority community in the country. This needs to be tapped before it fizzles out.

Rise of another right-wing party

The narrative in next five years by people from the right-wing ecosystem will be to exert pressure on PM Modi to fulfill the aspirations of the majority community, failing which, it is the right-wing ecosystem which will work more than the left-wing ecosystem to remove BJP from power. And, left-wing anyway will not have as significant a say by 2024 elections as they had in 2019 elections.

Another right-wing party, if nurtured in the next 5-10 years, will give people another option either to vote for BJP or that party. This will be a great shift in Indian polity, if successful. There will be only two parties opposing each other and both from the right of the centre political spectrum. This will take care of Hindu’s interests permanently. This will also act as a safety-valve. BJP as the true party of right narrative in India needs to think in longer terms and work towards finding a solution of auto-immune disease among its own voter base which is the bigger critic of its own party than even the opposition.

How this helps BJP

As explained above, the elimination of left of the centre parties from India will tackle the problem of the undoing of BJP’s work. Another aspect would be, that a party right of BJP will make BJP the left on the right side of the political spectrum in India. This will make BJP all the more acceptable and policies of BJP will look more normal to common people than by a further right-wing party.

BJP needs to understand that Prime Minister Modi’s regime for two terms with the absolute majority is like a lifetime event. It may or may not happen again at least in the lifetime of the current voting population of the country. Communists are already dead. Congress is dying fast. With Rahul Gandhi at the helm, it will not be taken seriously and without him, the party will collapse like a house of cards. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rose like a saviour of masses but lost the trust of masses quicker than it gained it. This window of the emergence of another saviour will not come at least in the next 20 years until then people will not believe anyone as easily as they believed AAP. Therefore, with the plain field, time to act is now. India doesn’t have an alternative. BJP needs to give it.

Mamta is Love

0

Set at one end of a beautiful country was a small principality ruled by a delusional Queen called Ma Love. Known for its rich tradition, culture, fine textiles and cuisine, Webland had historically been the precipitator of many revolutions and political movements.

Queen Love defined herself as the deliverer of the downtrodden. She claimed to stand for oneness, peace, equality and all other lofty ideals set in the constitution of the great country.

After a recent loss at war, Love’s condition worsened. She began to rely on a false sense of entitlement and her behavior became blatantly arrogant. Worst of all, she was partial and started to discriminate between her citizens. Her favourites were a group known as the ‘Peacemuls.’

These were a very tightly knit community who for some reason always had a false sense of persecution. They saw every challenge as a conspiracy to deny them their rights, while the truth of the matter was that they themselves, with their severe rules and code of conduct, stood apart from the rest of the world.

Since the Queen was disturbed and desperate, she took all decisions keeping her supporters in mind. Peacemuls were also inherently fearful, hence they could relate to her insecurity. After-all birds of a feather flock together.

Unfortunately, one day an old Peacemul died. But how could that be? They were meant to be immortal! So, a group of them assaulted the care-takers.

Eye for an eye.

As always, it was their way of justice.

The Queen stood in their support. Aggressive and arrogant, she now thought herself to be omnipotent.

Even death was meant to fear her!

Meanwhile the rest of the citizens, were up in arms. The care-takes stopped work and the principality suffered great unrest.

Queen Love had somewhere down the line forgotten her own essence. She forgot why her father had given her a name that meant motherly love…

Love in absolute purity is strength.
And there are various stages of love –
1.We love only when someone loves us
2.We love effortlessly and spontaneously
3.We want to be loved in exchange
4.We love all even if we are not loved in return i.e., we love unconditionally.
5.We expect that at some subtle level even this unconditional love of ours is recognised, appreciated and accepted.
6.Ultimately love is for love’s sake – pure love. Equal for all. Sabka saath, sabka vikas – with all, progressing together. Here we love spontaneously, simply, effortlessly and purely without any fear of mental, social or moral bondage, desire, need and expectation.

This highest form of love is guided by true wisdom and bestows bliss and joy.

The queen needed WISDOM and for that she needed to be centered and reject hypocrisy, fear and appeasement.

On a different note, all on this planet are governed by Nature and chetna, consciousness. Chetna has her own intelligence. She knows best. Karma is her vehicle for justice delivery, and she ensures that all humans repay their debt through various channels. Each and every event, has multiple repercussions, for Nature slays many with one sword.

Over the years, some of the caretakers had become greedy and callous. People were disappointed in many of their decisions. Their healing powers were suspect. This could be Nature’s way of making them aware, while the Queen and Peacemuls had their own bit of introspection to do.

This is the age of Machines, Kaliyug. It is invariably followed by Satyug. Time has turned, now only the truthful will survive – true to themselves and their sanatan, eternal culture. Those who support hypocrites and narrow-mindedness will have to face many hurdles and tests of time. Nature will corner them to face her Laws. And only those with maryada – knowing their limits and perfect conduct, like Shri Ram will survive. He is an avatar. An avatar is avataran, descent of consciousness in human form to guide humanity.

We only need to listen, carefully.

Jai Shri Ram!

Social Media marketing and website traffic: How they are related

0

Businesses are emerging with each passing day and it is obvious that everyone wants to gain success irrespective of the huge competition that they are constantly facing. If you have also just started your business or it has been years since you are handling your business, you should definitely make use of social media marketing. If you are asking why the answer is that marketing on social media can effectively help in increasing website traffic. This is not theoretical; however, if it is used in an ideal manner, it can be the best source of website traffic. Also, marketing on social media can be extremely helpful in establishing you to gain success. According to research, there are 3.3 million people, actively using social media.

When you are thinking of making use of social media for gaining more traffic, it is crucial that you educate yourself about certain important techniques. It is also important that you work hard as well as consistently by making use of the perfect approaches and the ideal tools. When you are running any social media campaign and your primary intention is gaining traffic, it is important that you follow the ways that have been listed below in order to ensure that you are successful.

Add the URL of your website on the profiles

You might have accounts in almost every social networking platform. It is crucial that you have your website link on each and every social media account. This can sound obvious; however, in most of the cases even reputed businesses forget to add their website link. Adding your website link is ideal for the purposes of search engine optimization and it also helps in driving organic traffic to your business website.

Ensure that you are using hashtags effectively

Hashtags are capable of generating exposure for each and every social media post. Hashtags are currently being used by almost everyone in order to look for a certain genre of the post. It is also going to help you to come in contact with potential customers who are looking forward to purchasing the kinds of services and products that your business is offering. Whenever you are adding hashtags, you need to ensure that they are relevant and should belong to the niche that you are operating in.

Make use of social media advertising

The total number of pages on social media along with the number of users is constantly increasing almost regularly. This is definitely good but you also need to know that there will be more potential customers, who are going to view your posts. This makes it extremely difficult to push the posts in front of those people who are really interested in your business. Active social media users are responsible for following numerous pages as well as hundreds of business accounts, but you need to know that their newsfeed is going to show only certain posts.

It can be extremely challenging to gain organic visibility. One of the most popular social networking platforms, Facebook, has changed its algorithm time and again. Therefore, if you are using Facebook and you want your followers or fans to come across your post, you need to actively make use of Facebook advertising. It is true that this can be costly but you can be assured that the cost is worth everything. This is the best possible way of targeting the ideal audience as well as gaining organic results. This is also applicable to both LinkedIn and Twitter. You can use LinkedIn advertisements or promoted tweets in order to connect with the followers. You can visit stormlikes.com.

Ensure that your users can share the content easily

When a visitor is reading something on your business website and he really likes it, he will be willing to share that particular content with his friends or the other social media followers. This is why it is your responsibility to ensure that ideally configured buttons are present within your blogs or business website so that sharing the post is never a problem.

One of the most common mistakes that business owners do is that they definitely add the buttons but they do not check if the content is being shared ideally. When your visitor is sharing your post, he is not going to fix anything. It is your responsibility to ensure that the image, title, as well as the description, is formatted properly.

Make use of images with the posts

Videos, images, and other kinds of visual items, which include illustrations and infographics, are extremely shareable. You need to ensure that your contents have images because people believe in visuals more than texts. Apart from that, images are responsible for making your posts more attractive as well as appealing and it looks that every post has a story to tell. If people are intrigued by your posts, they will definitely click the website link in your social media page.

Adding links to the social media posts

Only adding the website link to the social media profiles is not going to be of help. It is also suggested that you add links on each and every social media post. An ideal post is responsible for having an extremely attractive title, short descriptions, and a great image, along with the link from where the post has been taken from. This will help in making you look a lot more credible and people will be interested in your business.

Ensure that you are posting regularly

It is obvious that you should not spam your followers by posting 5 or 6 times a day but if you make regular updates, your brand is not only going to get exposure but you are also going to gain website traffic. This is something that should be done in order to make your followers believe that you are still in the picture. Not posting for a really long time will make your brand lose credibility and you might even start losing your customers.

Conclusion

Social media marketing is one of the most important aspects to consider when you have started your business. Make sure that you are making use of social media marketing appropriately in order to gain organic traffic on your business website.

Act fast to boost the economy

0

As the Ministry of Statistics released the quarterly data on Indian economy on the evening of 31st May, it became a sort of validation of the news channel debates and newspaper editorials that were beset with arguments for a slowdown of the economy.

The statistics show that India is no more the fastest growing economy in the world as the quarterly data on GDP shows it growing less than 6% at 5.8%, which is lesser than China’s growth of 6.4%.

Rising unemployment has also been a subject of discussion, debate and worry. The government that had come to power with a promise of creating 2 crore jobs per year, was bitterly criticised for not only failing to fulfil its promise but to contribute to worsening of the same, by some bold but controversial policy actions.

However, the citizens of the largest democracy in the world did not doubt the good intentions of one of the most revered leaders of the world, Mr. Narendra Modi. Thus, the government started its second term (Modi 2.0) formally with the new government; a jumbo team of 58 ministers, taking oath on May 30th 2019.

In the second tenure of the government, there are many challenges to face, especially on the economic front. As the economic growth is getting derailed, there is a need for urgent policy action. Keynesian prescription calls for economic stimulus, meaning that government should increase government expenditure to encourage private businesses to do the same. Fiscal stimulus in form of government expenditure cannot be ruled out because in an economy which is slowing down, private investment will not be forthcoming easily.

Then again, there is not much fiscal space for the government, as the recently released figures show that government has just been able to stay on the target of 3.4%. Constrained by modalities of the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act, 2003, the government cannot let Fiscal Deficit continue to climb unabatedly.

The figures of the other components of GDP – Consumption and Private Investment have not been encouraging recently. Private consumption expenditure as a percentage of GDP fell from 56.6 % in 2013-14 to 55.7% in 2017-18) Whereas, the Public investment of Rs. 738.4 billion in the last quarter ended in March shows a nearly 62 % decline from the last year. Similarly, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation to GDP ratio showed a very minor increase from 31.1% in 2016-17 to 31.4% in 2017-18.

Besides, several other trends hint at a sluggish demand in both rural and urban sector like declines sales of two-wheelers and four wheelers, declines in air passenger traffic, decline of growth in private final consumption (it grew at 7.2% in Q4 as compared to 8.3% in Q3), continuous decline in deployment of bank credit to the industrial sector, FMCG giants like ITC and HUL talking of sluggish demand in the farm sector etc.

Though, the challenges galore, it is the government’s leader who has never shied away from taking tough, unpopular decisions in favour of the nation.  Modi 2.0 has to be lauded for the incredible speed at which it has started the task of fulfilling it’s poll promises. The decisions  taken by the government for rural distress – which is widening the scope of PM Kisan Yojana or the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to include all farmers, instead of limiting it to farmers with less than 2 hectares of land. Now, all farmers (around 14.5 crore beneficiaries) would be availing Rs.6000 per year cash subsidy that would cost the central government exchequer, an estimated Rs. 87,217.50 crores each year.

The government has also been committed to ensure income support to people in the unorganised sector through the contributory pension schemes for marginal farmers and retail traders, shopkeepers and other categories of self –employed people. Such pension schemes will be open for people in 18-40 age group and contributions from both sides (beneficiary and government) would range between Rs. 55 -100; thus, ensuring a pension of Rs. 3000 after the age of 60 years.

Also, the government’s swift decision of constituting two Cabinet Committees – One with focus on employment and jobs while the other with focus on skills and employment; is again reflective of its commitment towards various reforms that would be needed to speed up creation of jobs, boost manufacturing and investment and increase the growth rate with controlled inflation.

While the measures like extending ‘PM Kisan Yojana’ and instituting new schemes of pension for people in the unorganised sector shall work as a stimulus for rural demand  and mitigate rural distress in some way; however, several other reforms will be needed to encourage rural and urban demand; that is falling if we look at the consumption figures.

When it comes to encouraging economic growth, both fiscal and monetary policy are used in a way that they complement each other. Hence, as expected, the Reserve Bank of India has supported the government’s efforts to reverse the economic slowdown by reducing the repo rate by 25 basis points on 6th June. Also, it changed the monetary policy stance from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Accommodative’. When the banks reduce their lending rates on various types of loans including personal, education and home loans, it would create fresh demand in the economy. However, as experts point out, this easing of monetary policy stance by RBI will make a difference only when the benefit of rat cut by RBI is passed to customers through the commercial banks, i.e the monetary policy transmission mechanism must be effective.

Effective monetary policy transmission basically means that all interest rates, especially the lending rates of banks, in the economy should move in tandem. In order to ensure that rate cut by RBI is transmitted, it is essential that banks are infused with adequate liquidity. However, till now RBI doesn’t seem to be taking adequate measures to ensure the same. With a looming crisis on the banking sector, especially the Non- Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) that are facing a severe liquidity crisis; the banks and financial companies are scared to reduce the deposit rates. Thus, the marginal cost of lending does not come down enough to enable the banks to transfer benefit of lowered repo rate to customers.

The RBI should at-least exercise its power of ‘moral suasion’ to ensure that banks cut down their lending rates so that the monetary policy becomes effective in impacting demand. The government too, should advise the RBI to act fast on the liquidity crisis.

The other policy reform measures that Modi 2.0 must immediately start are – plugging of leakages in the form of wasteful expenditures in the government and increasing generation of non-tax revenues so that the inflows and outflows of government money are better managed. Also, MSMEs need urgent and affirmative action to revive them as ‘job boosters’. MSME sector should be seen as an opportunity by the banks and catered to with innovative measures.

‘Make in India’ scheme should be strengthened further so that India jobs are generated in manufacturing. For this to happen, we need land reforms, rationalisation of tax structure for corporates through simplification of GST.

A little window of opportunity also exists for Indian firms to step up their exports to China, in view of strained trade relations between US and China. Though, there are non-tariff barriers to our products but an attempt must be made to tilt the situation in our favour through diplomatic relations, both with US and China.

With a capable person like Shri Jaishankar, who has been hand-picked by PM Modi to lead the Foreign Affairs, we can surely expect positive outcomes in this regard. While countrymen are assured of the strong leadership at the Centre, we need to only ensure swift and smooth implementation of the reforms agenda. All eyes are now on the most powerful woman in India, the Finance Minister – Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman.

#Men Too movement and its absurdity

There is no publicity that is bad publicity. ‘Publicity’(good or bad) brings focus. Karan Oberoi, an actor of little fame or no fame in many parts of India, instantly became a known one because of his personal trauma of going to jail, which he invited upon himself by having a (physical) relationship with a woman, whom he later found to be a maverick, claimed to have some supernatural powers of witchcraft etc. According to the interview (he gave to the newspapers) he said that his father and mother fell ill because of her (his girl friend’s) possessed witchcraft powers. Believably or not, he felt that it could be of her handiwork.

In the interview when Mr Karan was asked by the interviewer: ‘How and where did you first meet her, and at what point did your association turn sour?’ He said as an answer: ‘ We met on a dating app, where she introduced herself as a healer and astrologer. Then we shifted to WhatsApp and slowly got talking. She did not tell me that she was into witchcraft and voodoo, but I soon realised that something was amiss…’ . This man Karan seemed to be a product of modern day world (intrinsically western) for his viewing of dating Apps and obviously for not minding dating women. At the same time, even if that woman told him that she was a healer and astrologer, a practitioner of orthodoxy, he did not mind to continue the friendship in WhatsApp (a la’ Pak Imran who married a soothsayer)! When this whole episode of his arresting came to light, the woman in question, publicised that he frequented to her house and they had a much deeper relationship. Oberoi allowed the friendship for some more time, being considerate to her to have to design his home as she wanted to take up another profession. He thinks he is humane by being so. But that sounds hollow.

Pooja Bedi, a known celebrity, came to his rescue when he was jailed. She advertised her new realisation and her revelation that men could also be harassed! The Liberals were stoically silent on this matter which is a creation that came out of their own world view. But for Pooja Bedi’s efforts, Oberoi’s plights would have been different.

Historically, women being the weaker sex, they are being exploited. So, laws are in protection of them and in their favour. Misuse of law cannot be an excuse for not making the law. #Men Too, by its very tag, says that men are also exploited lot. That’s not true. In no way (physically and mentally) men are vulnerable. In olden days, they used to say that a man is like a butterfly that goes from flower to flower for nectar. It shows they are unemotional. In Oberoi’s case, the fault lies with him for falling into a bad company. As far as that particular woman is concerned, she is: like she is. One swallow cannot make summer. The behaviour of the woman in Oberoi’s story is an aberration not a norm. So, #Men too is a defeatist game.

The woman Mr Karan Oberoi befriended made allegation on him of rape and saw that he was put behind bars. Hers was a wrong and vengeful act. It’s highly condemnable as his reputation was damaged. She did it as he turned against her wishes, is obvious. His expressed feeling: that unknowingly he got into her relationship, though understandable yet unpitiable. For a grown-up man like him, to have an ill-founded affair, is morally wrong. For a society within the society, which has long forgotten morals, anything is fine.

These two persons of the story are truly two individuals with no binding of marriage. They wanted to time-pass that way like the westerners do. In West the society is open. For them, this : dating one, leaving the other are routine. Of course, they do not have much animosities after leaving one another. For them, every thing is contractual and unemotional. In India, the polished high class would like to replicate the West. If something goes wrong, they make a big hue and cry.

The Liberals’ overemphasis on individual rights, brings to this pass. This works for the global elite but ordinary individuals view things differently. The ideas of freedom and constitutionalism are misused by liberal elite, when in crisis, they fall foul of the state and police. The arrest taught Oberoi that men are at weak wicket not the ‘misuse of freedom’. Personal freedom (of Liberals) in India and elsewhere in the world, has ended up in the mainstreaming of pornography, alcohol and drug abuse and repression of religious good. As you sow, so you reap!

Chaotic politico-religious equations and entry of BJP in Tamil Nadu

0

Several so called free thinkers and writers often say that BJP cannot enter into TN because people of TN never entertain communal politics of BJP as well as its Hindutwa agenda.   It is a fairy tale that most of the political parties like DMK and its alliance partners are the one playing communal and caste politics in the state and are in hand in glove with several minority communities.

Entry of BJP in TN is no doubt is quite difficult.  The reason being people are chaotically confused by Dravidian brand politics of several decades.  Therefore self-ignition of the question pertaining to whether people of the state belong to Hindus or Dravidian by every individual alone can make the state free and independent to accept new political ideology.

During pre-independent days, people from non-Brahmin upper caste in Tamil Nadu, includes several Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam speaking people got together and formed justice party by citing denial of justice to all of them by dominant Brahmins. Carefully all these upper caste non Brahmins positioned themselves as victims of caste discrimination along with Dalits and other backward classes and thereby galvanized their support, dethroned Brahmin dominance and came to power. But this group as expected started to discriminate the real backward class people and behaved exactly as they are the upper caste. But always they kept Brahmins as a point of anchorage to whip their political ambition and win election.

By playing victim hood, they masque their real upper caste face and presented so cleverly to the backward class people that they are there to uplift their life and to end Brahmin dominance. To prevent people from even thinking how the Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam speaking people can form part of Tamils, they coined the term Dravidian race. The successor of justice party, EV Ramasamy Naicker properly marketed the Dravidian race politics, isolated Brahmins and brought them under Aryan race. Further EVR also infused hate politics against Brahmins, Hindi and Sanskrit language, abused Hindus and categorised entire North Indians to be Aryan race. Even India’s independence, EVR mocked and objected as according to him it is better TN to be ruled by British than Aryan North Indians.

The genes of hate politics against Brahmins, Hindi and Sanskrit language, North Indians as Aryan race, calling all Tamil people except Tamil Brahmins to be Dravidian has gone so deep in the state.  Therefore inflating any one of the genes is sufficient to stop the entry of BJP in TN. Unfortunately all those Tamil people living in different parts of India living in peace and friendliness with people of different states are also not willing to speak to the people of the state not to get bullied by the politicians who mesmerize them with hate politics against North Indians, Aryan race, hate Hindi agenda and hate Brahmins etc. Further, the Dravidian politicians of EVR ideology also planted the feeling and spirit that Tamil Nadu is different from rest of India, is unique and separate.

BJP and Modi want India as one nation to develop and prosper, Indians as one community without any division by religion and caste must succeed and unlike US or UK, the spirituality and spiritual thoughts and not politics of money, muscle power, greed for power, rule of corruption and nepotism, dynastic politics should prevail and guide India to success and glory.

Tamil Nadu is facing drinking water crisis and other problems. The divisive and hate politics of DMK can offer nothing to the state and only the development centric politics and sab ka vikas vision of Modi alone can save the state. PM Modi has clear vision for the nation whereas the politics of DMK is to divide people by engaging in negative and hate politics and grab power.

Because of the historic hatred implanted by EV Ramasamy Naicker and DMK against Hindi and Sanskrit language, Hindu religion, God and finally Brahmins and objecting to every development projects of Modi, people are a bit confused and have lost their Hindu roots.

Like how people of TN started to believe in God and going to various temples by dismissing the anti-god propaganda of DMK and EV Ramasamy Naicker, people of TN also must trace back their cultural umbilical cord – Hinduism and must realize the truth that Dravidian politics is meant to distort the facts and disengage people of the state from joining the mainstream culture called Hinduism.

For DMK to object BJP, eliciting any one of the genes such as anti-Hindi, God, Hinduism, North India Aryan race, anti-Brahmin sentiments is sufficient. But the need of the hour is the development and progress of the state and not the age of hate politics and victim hood divisive agenda of DMK.

BJP is finding it difficult to enter into TN mainly because BJP is not playing emotional mind game politics or politics of hyping Tamil superiority but BJP and Modi are promoting the agenda of development and sab ka vikas. Further PM Modi is assuring corruption and scam free governance, governance free of nepotism and dynastic politics, governance where Ram and Rahim are equal and not minority appeasement and governance aimed to make India a great land to live.

People of Tamil Nadu should not fall victim to the emotional mind game politics of DMK which injects nothing but hate Hindi, God, Hinduism, Brahmins etc. Hatred is not going to yield anything to people but it can do wonders for DMK because DMK will certainly ensure its victory through victim politics where it makes people of the state to feel that Modi has neglected the state.

Join the mainstream, support Modi and let us make India great where Tamil Nadu exists with greatness and prosperity. Entry of BJP and Modij into Tamil Nadu politics is good more to the people of the state than to BJP. Let us save TN from dynastic politics and politics of negativity and hatred.
