Women Empowerment

The world is yet to become a better place for women. Infanticide is still being practiced, girl child is still devoid of getting education, girls are still discriminated, rights of women are still violated.

This bill is an apposite instance of pseudo-feminism where it is strenuously being attempted to vanish male (especially those belonging to the General Caste) politicians from the Lok Sabha and state legislatures of India. This bill will distinctly impact and further perish the marginalized General Caste from Indian politics.

विद्या की देवी सरस्वती, धन की देवी लक्ष्मी, महारानी अवंतीबाई, विदुषी गार्गी, रानी लक्ष्मीबाई, महारानी झलकारी बाई, इंदौर की उदारमना शासक देवी अहिल्याबाई, गोंडवाना की शासक रानी दुर्गावती, रानी रुद्रम्मा देवी, रानी चेनम्मा, रानी और अनेकानेक उदाहरण हमारे समाज में मौजूद है।

Bharat has always offered women equal and at times superior opportunities, be it the archery division of army in Chanakya’s time, performing a yagna, conferring degrees like Ganini, Mahattara,etc; or mastering the 64 Kalas that was a must for a woman that included art of solving riddles, mechanics, knowledge of foreign languages, etc.

In the age of 24/7 media, we have become so accustomed to the portrayal of women as a sum total of their sexual body parts, that we do not even realize when in real life also we manifest that behavior and objectify women by singling out body parts of women without finding anything wrong in doing so.

Does India need to empower the women as shown by these western feminists or are they already empowered and we just need to channelize their energy by awakening their dharmic identity?

Contribution of women in the growth history is quite visible however, as a society we have failed to maintain the dignity of a woman. We need to change our mind set and vision.

महात्मा ने इस बार अपना जन्मदिन ना मनाने का फैसला किया है। वो विगत कुछ दिनों से होने वाले महिला अत्याचारों से व्यथित हैं। उनका सबसे बड़ा दुुुख न्याय का घुुुट घुुुट कर दम तोड़ देेंना है।

स्त्रियों को उचित प्रशिक्षण तथा सही मार्गदर्शन मिलना चाहिए ताकि वे अपना बचाव स्वयं कर सकें और गलत रास्ते पर भी न जाएं. स्त्रियों को चारदिवारी में कैद रखना महर्षि मनु के पूर्णत: विपरीत है.

The atrocities committed against Kangana Ranaut, a fearless woman fighting for the truth, makes me wonder what end is to be met by her torturer and current “ruler”.
