RSS: A Proverbial Punching Bag

0

RSS is the biggest social & cultural organization in the World. Its membership is awe-inspiring and now with its supposedly political arm, the BJP in power as NDA it assumes significant proportions as a mammoth riding the powerful waves of Indian political spectrum. However, with all it’s supposed to power & its hegemonic predominance, RSS suffers from lack of confidence in taking on powers inimical to its ideology, both intellectually & ideologically betraying confidence among its swayamsevaks & Supporters.

Dr. Hedgewar, at the outset of founding his organization, was pro-Congress as was the won’t of the leading public figures then. But Hedgewar realized the dichotomy of the policies followed by Congress in public and privately. His disillusionment was complete in the 1920s though he supported their calls for protest against British.

Historically, RSS chose Right of the Centre approach to its workings, it chose ancient India as its ideological platform, not a postmodernist confused approach of the Westernised Congress Leaders who were happy with a superimposed doctrine of Secularism. Nothing wrong with Secularism per se but the abused version of this doctrine was pre-eminent in the articulation of post-Gandhi Congress. The demise of Tilak and the rise of MK Gandhi as the sole voice of Congress was suffocating the Hindu Right within and outside the Congress.

The indifference of Gandhi towards the massacres of Hindus in Bengal, Punjab & Sindh fuelled the anti-Muslim, Anti-Gandhi Constituency in India. The Hindu Mahasabha was the leading light in propagating the extreme position of Hindu Right in the country. In this vicious atmosphere with the accompanying indifference of Congress towards Hindus, especially the utterances of Gandhi didn’t calm the situation.

The country had exploded in a frenzy of bloodbath never witnessed before, the two dominions born out of a bleeding womb were at each other’s throats. Not that there was no latent hatred for each other, it was the result of a drawn-out narrative of hate, the establishment of an Islamic Pakistan an avowed objective of Muslim leaders had vitiated the milieu to an extent that living together was a foregone conclusion. Both parts wanted a Religious State, by parts here, the majority on both sides wanted an Islamic Pakistan and a dominant Hindu State if not a Hindu Rashtra in India. Even Ambedkar, the Chairman of Drafting Committee of Constitution believed in the wholesome transfer of population to achieve the aim of Two States based on religion.

However, the Founding Fathers of India, a term which is as controversial as the term Secularism thought that India should remain Secular. Nothing wrong again!

But did the political powers in the country hold any referendum as to the nature of state wanted by the people of remaining India?? No. It was forced upon the country, had there been a referendum it would have led to complete partition with the wholesome transfer of population. It would be bloodier and substantially more vicious but that’s what it would have been.
RSS has no say in this partition as such but it stood up against the violence unleashed by Jinnah and Muslim League in protecting the Hindus, this led them on a path to confrontation with the Congress culture in the country. It was against the special status to the state of J&K too.

The assassination of MK Gandhi had nothing to do with RSS as subsequent inquiry committees & commissions have pointed out. The accused had no relation directly with the RSS either but Congress in a fit of anger and its failure to control the situation banned the RSS in the aftermath of Gandhi assassination. The accused were hanged for killing the Father of the Nation!

This hanging which has no relation with the RSS has hung across its neck like an albatross, it’s become a proverbial punching bag for politicians of all hues except the Saffron. Congress, after its humiliating loss in 2014 has upped the ante through its immature and often ignorant Vice-President, subsequently President, Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress President faces trial in a Bhiwandi Court in Mumbai after Supreme Court rejected a petition to open the Gandhi Assassination Case, it concluded that “ the people who committed the crime have been identified and hanged”.
This crime committed more than half a century ago is still used by the Congress and the Left to pillory the RSS.

What surprises the layman is the defensive position adopted by the RSS and it’s spokespersons on various debates on TV and otherwise in the country. The argument that Sardar Patel & Nehru both have lauded the RSS for their exemplary service to the Nation, both in the times of war and peace is fine but why is there this defensive mindset which doesn’t have a strong voice to refute and rebut this entire false narrative.

RSS has failed spectacularly in articulating its position on various contentious issues facing the country, there’s a distinct ambiguity for the reasons best known to the hierarchy in Nagpur. Its position on Act 370, Uniform Civil Code, on the construction of Ram Mandir is well known by its formulations over the years but its silence on the issues when in power and in a position to influence decisions has been deafening. The challenge to Act 35A was envisaged by a think tank close to the RSS but its stated stand in the Supreme Court through the Centre is shrouded in ambiguity.

RSS believes in guiding not imposing itself on the BJP but the way it has taken over the political positions in the BJP it cannot wish away its responsibility when the electorate asks questions by deflecting these to the BJP. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, number one and two in BJP are through and through RSS appointees, President, Vice President, various Governors, organizational posts in BJP are all under the RSS tutelage or the incumbents are former Pracharaks on loan to the BJP.

Unless RSS finds its voice on matters of importance and matters which casts a shadow of reasonable doubts about its ability to defend itself there will be slander directed against it more now than ever before. RSS must come out of this ‘Defensive Mindset’ when dealing with the kinds of Rahul Gandhis, the Yechuris, the Mamatas, the Lalus, the Mulayams, else they come harder and harder as 2019 approaches, for losing is not an option for either alliance.

2019, a fight for Hindu existence

0

The heat for the 2019 elections is being turned up in many quarters. Already, a great “coalition” of assorted crooks and appeasers is lining up to fight against the forces of Hindutva. The election for the Karnataka Assembly recently concluded. What happened after the election is widely seen as a forerunner to what can be expected in 2019.

In Karnataka, two parties, bitterly opposed in the election campaign, opportunistically joined hands in the name of “secular” politics to prevent what is widely seen as the party of Hindus from forming the government. Perception matters in today’s world of instant news and social media. All over India, the opposing coalition appears to be seeking blood for what they perceive as Hindu uppityness. In the eyes of the Abrahamic religions and the Western-educated liberals and Marxists, the only natural religions possible in this world are Abrahamic religions. Their end goal is to see to the death of Hinduism.

A person who largely funds and controls the opposition is the former Italian barmaid, Antonia Maino. She is widely seen as the puppeteer behind the mute Prime Ministership of Manmohan Singh. Under her command, the NAC, an unconstitutional body, was set up to guide and advice the government as per her agenda. It is well known that Antonia and her son, Rahul, were behind the campaign to malign Hindus in the name of “Hindu terror”. The NAC started blaming Hindus for any and all riots that took place in India. Subramanian Swamy had filed an FIR in 2011 for this attempt at whitewashing the real culprits behind the violence.

Also, Antonia seems to be anxious to quickly bring Bharat into the Christian fold. Her ties to the Vatican are well known. Her 2004-2010 government had steadily supported many foreign souls harvesting NGOs. Recently, the website PGurus has revealed the role played by the Vatican in meddling with Indian governments who oppose their malicious agenda.

Also in the coalition of assorted anti-Hindus are communists and the Islamists. Leftists and communists have had an agenda of breaking India and destroying Hinduism from their earliest days. Maoist terrorism has been widely curbed by the BJP government during the years following the 2014 election. The Maoist terrorists and their urban liberal comrades have recently been exposed and have been accused of plotting against Modi’s life.

Islamic terrorists and other assorted apologists for terrorism are also bitterly unhappy at seeing the resurgence of Hindus.

Even when the Congress is seen to make some overtures towards Hindus, Islamists see red and condemn anyone seen to be supporting Hindus.

As can be seen from the above, the forces of Mullah, Marxist and Missionary (three M’s) have joined together to smash what is left of Bharat. The “secular” coalition has poised itself to shamelessly divide and conquer the Hindus. Already, the casteist dynasty politicians and their friends in the mainstream media are constantly demonizing all facets of Hinduism from politics to culture and beyond. The demonizing of Hindus has been the only uniting force behind the triple “M” forces in India. Everywhere else in the world, the M’s have been fighting brutal battles with each other unto death.

If some Hindus see the BJP as not doing enough for the Hindu cause, they need to first leave small-mindedness behind and stand behind Modi. Only then, will they be able to pressure the party of Hindutva to do more for Hindutva? Not voting or voting NOTA could very likely be a suicidal act. Hindus have to become patriotic and go out and vote for Modi and BJP in 2019 as a united block.

Misconstrued opposition: a flawed democracy that needs fixing

0

There is no doubt about the fact that India is the biggest functional democracy, but it is also a fact that it is rated as a flawed democracy and there are better and functional democracies in the world. The democracy index compiled by a UK based company Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU), places India at 42nd rank with a score of 7.23. The Index also gives five different categories on which the ranking is based. Although these days I see a lot of debates and talks which insinuate that Civil Liberties are under threat. But, the Index says otherwise. For India, the bigger problem is the prevailing political culture. The score awarded to political culture is 5.63 against 7.35 for civil liberties. The political culture has been repulsive to an extent that a majority of people would try to stay away from politicians and politics.

An underdeveloped political culture is leading to an environment where any and every event that occurs irrespective of it being positive or negative, constructive or destructive becomes highly political. The inability of asking the correct questions and asking questions only for the sake of asking questions is to a great extent a reason for this uncultured political culture in India. I know, there are a lot of things about Indian Politics that I don’t know or am ignorant to. Everyone does not need to know everything about the political system but there is a question of paramount importance, which I along with every voter should know the answer to before participating in an election. If we do not know the answer to this one question, we would not be able to do justice with our right to vote.

I as a voter have different matrices and indexes to gauge or measure the incumbent government’s performance. By looking at those I could decide if they should get another chance or not. But how do I gauge or measure opposition party’s performance? How do I decide if the opposition party or parties have done a good enough job or will do a better job if given a chance to form the government? Official Opposition’s main role is to question the government and hold them accountable for their doing in front of the public. Are protests and violence across the country a measure of the opposition’s performance? If they are, aren’t they pulling the nation down? Please go through the article posted by me a few weeks ago: Protests: Boon Or Bane For 21st Century India

There are a lot of political parties, and they have to keep themselves alive in the voters’ mind. How do they do it? One of the easiest or rather the quickest ways is to muster up a news, news that gets them the center stage. Indian political history is full of instances which would simply corroborate this. I do not intend to lengthen the article by quoting the instances, but I could describe the simplest template that is being used to generate political center stage out of non-political mishaps. Let’s say a crime occurs(could be rape or murder, etc.), the normal events following such an action should be: an attempt to keep the victim alive if possible at all and imprisoning of the culprit and that is it, nothing more and nothing less. But this would not make any news, would it? Add a few “necessary” details like the complete names of both the victim and the culprit and now it opens a window to create something bigger than the crime itself. There are on average tens of thousands of people raped or murdered every year in India. How many make a news headline? How much effort would it take to find a couple of murders/rapes with the culprit being from the upper caste and the victim from the lower caste or culprit and victims from two different religions? I don’t think it would take much effort. But somebody would be able to get the required attention.

This is also a reason as to why people always fall prey to the caste/religion politics as they have no other way of deciding who to go with. Does this mean there can be no constructive way of measuring the performance? Certainly not, there are ways by which a political party could showcase its performance. One of the ways could be showcasing the model of their governance in states which they were in power, this was proved successful in the last election as (Gujarat Model). A second way that I could think of, is showcasing the performance in the parliament sessions. For instance, if the GST bill was dreadful according to the opposition parties, how come it got a go-ahead by them in Rajya Sabha? The party could have boasted about the way they opposed it in parliament, or the important changes they made in their election campaign. Instead of opposing it at the place where it should and could have been opposed, creating a hostile environment seemed a better approach. Further, the parties not in the ruling coalition could pitch for any idea for improvement and beat their chests when the government does not take that into consideration, the person who pitches the idea could showcase it during the elections. There could be many more, but the bottom line is: it takes a greater amount of time, effort and patience to create something and political parties are not just ready for that kind of commitment.

I also think that India as a democracy is still not as matured as it should be and have been improving with the passing years and decades. Although it could be well argued if the pace at which it is improving is good enough. The place for Official Opposition was vacant for almost three decades after independence. In the year 1991 for the first time, a non-congress party (BJP) became Official Opposition. It would not be incorrect to say that since there was no serious opposition, parties did not know how to behave in opposition. Decades after decades the same old ways were followed. After staying in opposition for quite a few terms, one party came up with a constructive way to showcase their credibility and the voters accepted it without an itch. Congress has so far not given any such indications and is sticking to the age-old tried and tested phenomenon of divide and rule. To be able to pursue a positive approach towards making news and showcasing their worthiness, they will have to let go of their old tactics. If the current politics that they are demonstrating is all, I would wish they lose 2019 so that they wake up from their deep sleep. Please go through the article posted by me a few weeks ago: Congress should lose 2019 for its own good. Sooner or later they would find a new and a better way. Although the sooner they do, the better it is for them and for us.

Anatomy of a Secular state

These are the list of terminologies so far Left wing has come up regarding the definition of being a secular state

Jingoistic Secularism: Minorities are sacrificing their religion for living in this country so Majorities should give up space for them. They have to be given more resources to live. But the same theory should not be applied for Hindu minorities living in Kashmir, Northeast.

Socialism: Economy should be controlled by Government and the only job of government is to provide food to people in PDS. The government should not work in any projects which can help in moving the country forward. They should not think about solving problems using science and technology. One such pet project is MNREGA but govt should not interfere by investigating the beneficiaries of the scheme.

Liberalism: The culture followed in India is regressive and patriarchal. It should be eliminated at any cost. But the culture followed by Minorities should not be taken up for discussion because they sacrifice so much to live in this country. One such example is Taharrush, culture followed by Saudis to rape and abuse women who do not belong to Islam. No question should be raised about that but discussions will be done by armchair liberals whether Diwali and Holi should be celebrated or not.

Feminism: Discussions should happen about whether wearing Sindhoor in the forehead is scientifically good for health or not but nothing should be discussed wearing Burqa. No questions should be raised on the difficulties imposed by Islam on women but Khap panchayats should be brought to book as they are the only section who does not support feminism. Remember Triple talaq should not be discussed at all.

Islamophobia: Islam is always under attack by Majorities. But nobody should speak about the history of Islam and the devastation it has caused to the native cultures across this entire globe. Islam is always a peaceful religion.

Freedom of expression: Only privileged few can exercise free speech. Others cannot expect it. The discussion should not happen about Dalits attacked by Islamists but front pages of newspapers should be covered by conflicts in Hindu communities.

Nehruvian School: Only Nehru and his family have done well for this country. If they are not there India would have been fourth-rated country behind Africa(third rated). Indians till death should remember it and should serve Nehru, family, eternally.

Jawans are not needed: There should not be any job for Army. The army is responsible for killings of innocent people in the name of war. Jawans are created only to die in the hands of Pakistanis and Islamic terrorists, No discussion should happen in media about it.

Social Cause: Hindus should not unite together by crossing the caste barriers. If it happens it is the sign of growing Majoritarianism. If minorities unite together then it is for the great social cause and it should be hailed as a revolution.

Corruption: Government can do any amount of corruption and citizens cannot question them as they are only here to serve the rulers i.e Indira-Sonia family. They can loot as much as money but if we question it then you should be harassed and killed. Even Supreme court should not question it if not then Emergency will be imposed and everyone should happily accept it.

Linguistic War Cry: Each state should give only preference to native language speakers in all the govt jobs and schemes. But this rule does not apply to Muslims and Christians who predominantly speak Urdu and English. This rule is applicable only to Hindu majority and who wants to move to another state for jobs. To say exactly Hindus should not move to other states for Jobs or economic well being. They are here only to live in the roles of Government. Do not cross the State Border.

Jihad of Kashmiris: Kashmiris have sacrificed everything to stay in India, so they should be pampered eternally till this earth gets destroyed. If a Kashmiri boy gets selected in Indian Cricket team he should be the voice of India but not a poor Indian from other parts of the country. But nobody should ask a Kashmiri whether they support the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits. If you ask it then you should be a fascist.

Islamic Terror: There is no Islamic terror in the entire world only other religions are harassing the Peaceful Islamists. The people who are creating havoc in the world in name of Islam are some misguided youth and they do not follow Islam. Islam always creates heaven i.e Syria, Egypt.

Remember these when you go for voting. If you think about creating a secular state then there is no difference between the terms mentioned above and the rule of law in the Middle East.

That’s blasphemy in Islam Mr Yadav, did you do that on purpose?

0

The Muslim festival of Eid was celebrated recently and many prominent personalities had shared messages wishing a happy Eid to the people.

Mr Yogendra Yadav wished his followers “Eid Mubarak”. He could’ve just done that with a casual but still loving “Hello friends, Eid Mubarak. Where is my biryani?” kind of message but no. He was feeling extra creative so he went one step ahead and wished Eid with this painting. He stated that the painting depicts Bhagwan Shri Krishna sighting the Eid moon and pointing it out to a group of Muslim men and women. And further he added that the people of India should resolve and bring back, as he called it, the spirit of India. He said all of that but failed to mention who needs to resolve what exactly.

At the end of this article, I will explain how Mr Yogendra Yadav and others who used this painting to wish Eid actually committed something that is seen as blasphemy in Islam, and he did that on the day of Eid. But first, let’s look at some facts and factual errors.

About the painting: If you keep painter’s creative freedom aside for a moment and try to examine the artwork solely from the perspective of what Mr Yadav claimed it is, then the painting is just one big lie. How? The timeline of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and Islam don’t overlap anywhere. What does it mean? It means historically speaking these two episodes* wasn’t happening simultaneously. There is roughly a gap of (more than) three thousand years between the two episode*.

*The time when Bhagwan Shri Krishna was present on this earth in mortal body form vs the time when Islam came into existence according to world historians.

To give you an example, imagine a painting where Mahatma Gandhi is standing with a glass of juice requesting Self-proclaimed emperor of Delhi, Mr Kejriwal, to end his fast and go back to work. That picture might be aesthetically pleasing but we know that Mahatma Gandhi died some 20 years before Mr Kejriwal was even born. There is no chance of Mr Kejriwal meeting Gandhiji in person, thus no juice offerings would’ve happened. The timeline in which they exist does not overlap. So, when it will come to facts and figures the picture, however beautiful it may be, will be considered a lie.

Ok so coming back to stuff that really matters. Mr Yadav and many others from the left brigade who were posting and retweeting the same painting and trying to pass it as “Eid Mubarak” wishings, they failed to provide any credible source to hold the claim that they made. Because when a twitter handle @TrueIndology confronted many of them with facts, the left brigade failed to respond with authority. Fed up with the “fake” trend TrueIndology finally tweeted: “Mr Yogendra Yadav whatever, Get your facts right. The last painting of Ruknuddin was in 1697. How could he draw this alleged painting in the 18th century? He died by then!”

It’s important to know here that TrueIndology is a scholar of Indology. TrueIndology is ultra “infamous” among the leftist “scholar gang” and agenda-driven “historians” because he keeps busting their fake claims on a regular basis.

After several tweets Mr. Yogendra Yadav posted this :

And from here on his whole happy “Eid Mubarak” vibe grew darker and darker. Because instead of saying sorry for posting a “fake and controversial” painting, he started hurling “adjectives” towards people who requested to know about the origin of the artwork. And it got me thinking that the person who was talking so dearly about the idea of peace and harmony just a few minutes ago, is now calling people names and saying things which fall directly on the opposite side of the spectrum. He accused random people of hurting sentiments of others but the irony is that his own tweet could be hurting the sentiments of the whole Muslim community.

I think Mr Yogendra Yadav and other people who posted this controversial painting as “Eid Mubarak” message, all of them actually committed serious blasphemy against Islam. This is how,

Each faith/religion has its own understanding of God. Hinduism is henotheistic in nature which means Hindus worship one God (and several Devtas) but without denying the existence of other Gods. Islam is monotheistic in nature. According to the Holy book of Islam, there can be only one god and that God is Allah. Worshipping any other god is considered blasphemy. Suggesting that there can be gods other than Allah is also considered blasphemy. It is a serious crime according to Islam. The left brigade which daily comes on t.v screens and projects themselves as the scholars of all faiths and religions do they even know their basics? Are they clueless about Islam being monotheistic in nature.? How come the liberals were unaware of the fact that sharing that painting on Eid may hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community. Because that painting shows supreme god of Hindus but Muslims are required by Islam to reject any god other than Allah. I am appalled at this wicked sense of humour of the left.

When you know that believing in one and only god Allah is the most important pillar of Islam. Then posting a Hindu God’s picture to wish Eid to Muslims is indirectly mocking their faith. Hey Liberals, what kind of sick agenda are you trying to push? I hope Muslim population sees how the agenda of left works in mysterious ways.

India does not need this kind of “Ganga-Jamuni-Tehjeeb” if the message can be interpreted in a wrong way by any of the sides. The left need to stop doing that. Also, listen, Muslims are capable enough to locate moon on their own. Do not try to create tension between innocent Hindus and Muslims and go read books of different faiths and get a first-hand knowledge of things you debate about on regular basis.

And Mr Yogendra Yadav, you posted that painting so looks like it is you who looks interested in creating Hindu-Muslim riots. But Hindus and Muslims are now aware of how politics work. We will not fall in subtle political traps. I think you and others who posted that painting should apologize on Twitter.

The Aurangzeb we all need

0

Aurangzeb, the brave Indian army soldier was part of 44 Rashtriya Rifles. 44 RR has been India’s most successful counterinsurgency unit this year, Based at Shopian in South Kashmir. 44 RR killed terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Sameer tiger earlier this year.

Aurangzeb was heading to his home on 14th of June, Thursday to celebrate Eid with his family. He was abducted by a group of armed militants near Kalampora, Shopian. Army and J&K police launched a massive manhunt to find Aurangzeb, only to find his bullet-riddled body later. Aurangzeb was paid tribute by the Indian army and other Security forces, this Friday. Locals came in huge numbers to attend his funeral and were seen raising slogans of “Shaheed Aurangzeb Amar Rahe”, outside his house.

Aurangzeb was close to Major Rohit Shukla, who led anti-terror operation against slain terrorist Sameer Tiger. An unconfirmed video has emerged, in which terrorists can be seen questioning Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb didn’t cried for mercy, he died a Soldier’s death. Aurangzeb, father is a retired Indian army Soldier, 55-year-old Mohammad Haneef. His Uncle died fighting the same terrorists, in 2004. Haneef’s eldest son is in Army, while two of his younger sons are set to join the army, as reported by Indiatimes.

Aurangzeb holding an American rifle.

Haneef father gave a strong message to Indian govt and Defence forces. Quoting a few lines from his message

Indian government has enormous power, houses can be searched. From 2003, Kashmir conflict is not yet solved. This is the death of several security forces soldier’s whose bodies were flown out of Kashmir, including my son. Kashmir conflict can be solved by Indian government. Even if these militants are muslims, one who does bad receives bad. I won’t be able to celebrate Eid with him. Ministers in Srinagar, of BJP, Congress or any party should be removed from Kashmir. I give Narendra modi 72 hours deadline to avenge the death of my son.

Aurangzeb, younger brother vowed to take revenge from Militants and Pakistan.

In another video , Haneef asked the following to an Indian army officer.

Why is pakistan’s flag raised in Kashmir, instead of Indian flag. I will sacrifice my own life for this nation, my elder son is in Army.

Haneef is true Indian Kashmiri Muslim, who represents the idea of Kashmiriyat. It’s time Pakistan understands that Kashmir is an integral part of India, and Kashmiris will serve their nation till last breath. Several Haneefs are living in Kashmir, and its high time Indian government takes a bold step in resolving Kashmir conflict. Home minister, Rajnath Singh has realised his mistake, and ordered for the end of the ceasefire in Kashmir. Indian army should again start their operation all-out, and avenge the death of fearless Aurangzeb, renowned journalist and the brave security force soldiers martyred in Kashmir.

While the Indian express resorted to their agenda and wrote an article with the headline ” J&K Pulwama Firing”. No, Indian Express there was no firing involved in above act. It is an act of cowardice by the terrorists, killing an unarmed soldier.

Several prominent personalities sympathised for Burhan Wani, Terrorist.  While the same people find it difficult to blame Terrorist Muslim organisations for the death of Journalists, and brave Soldiers. It is time, we identify them. Shaheed Aurangzeb is the hero we all need.

Being Intolerant

0

Why being branded as “intolerant” should be seen as a mark of greatest honor:

Nassim Taleb, in his book, Skin In The Game, outlines the reasons why in most societies, a small intolerant minority can have a huge impact.

The Kosher population represents less than three tenth of a percent of the residents of the United States. Yet, it appears that almost all drinks are Kosher. Why? Simply because going full Kosher allows the producer, grocer, restaurant, to not have to distinguish between Kosher and nonkosher for liquids, with special markers, separate aisles, separate inventories, different stocking sub-facilities. And the simple rule that changes the total is as follows:

A Kosher (or halal) eater will never eat nonkosher (or nonhalal) food , but a nonkosher eater isn’t banned from eating kosher.

Recent history:

In India, intolerant minorities have long been given privileged status. Former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, proclaimed that the Muslim minority had the first right to India’s resources! As a result, the pluralist and tolerant Hindu majority have been reduced to third-class citizens. So-called “secular” politicians try to break the Hindu majority on caste and community lines for the sake of votes at every given chance.

The British colonialist two-nation plan originally planned to have a Muslim Pakistan and a Hindu India. However, weak-willed leaders such as Gandhi and Nehru rejected the idea of a Hindu India and instead opted for a “secular” India where no religion is given priority. This sounded good in theory. But, over the past 70 years after independence, Hindus have largely been given the back seat in most areas.

The vast majority of India has suffered economic injustice because of the poverty and illiteracy resulting from corrupt socialist policies carried out by the secular regime for 70 years. Also, Hindus do not have the right to manage their own temples, run educational institutes. Hindu law was reformed in 1950. For some strange reason, the laws for other religions were never subjected to reform. So, the Muslims and Christians of India are today largely free to practice their religion as they wish. They have the privilege to persecute and harass Hindus at every given chance with violence and conversion. The Hindu majority has largely tolerated this harsh treatment.

Leftism, Christianity, and Islam impose a monoculture:

The Indian leftist intellectual class, along with the Mullahs and Padres ceaselessly proclaim themselves to be the champions of freedom, diversity, and inclusion. However, their track record all over the world speaks another story. The Islamists have been notorious for being iconoclasts. They have destroyed 1000s of years of priceless historical treasures. Following the Babri Masjid demolition of 1991, more than 200 Hindu temples were destroyed in Pakistan. The Bamiyan Buddha is another prime example of this.

The Christians have had a history of brutal violence and intolerance beginning from their earliest days. This history has been coming out recently.

Also, the leftist dictatorships of China, USSR, and other places have succeeded in wiping out most of the local culture and history.

https://twitter.com/primalpoly/status/869185670564245504

Compared to this, Bharat has always followed a policy of inclusion and pluralism thanks to the influence of Hinduism. The varnashrama (caste) dharma system ensured that a diversity of traditions was preserved. Bharat has also played host to the Parsis and Jews since many centuries. This is the glorious Hindu culture that these Hindu-baiters want to destroy.

Shivaji’s “intolerant” minority were victorious: Intolerance always wins:

Today, liberals and other leftist authoritarians routinely condemn the practice of Hinduism. They regularly try to condemn the display of Hindu symbols, for example, that of Hanuman.

Also, in 2015, the self-proclaimed “intellectual” elites of urban India began the drama of returning their awards, when no one questioned why they were awarded in the first place. The reason for this drama was the perceived “intolerance” of the Hindu majority.

However, as can be seen from history, it is always an intolerant minority who always wins. Shivaji’s mother, Jijabai, instilled in him a sense of dharma and pride. Thanks to his mother’s influence, Shivaji was able to defeat an evil empire and establish a new age of justice in the form of the Hindavi Swarajya. Shivaji accomplished this with a minority of soldiers and commanders who stood for dharma.

As shown by Shivaji, Hindus need to learn from their own history that an “intolerant” minority, such as Shivaji’s army of soldiers of dharma, can have an immense impact on the world. Also, in the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna advised Arjuna to be intolerant to those who oppose dharma. Instead of needlessly worrying, Hindus should wear the label of intolerance with pride. Being intolerant towards those who carry out injustice and ‘adharma’ in the world is a required duty of every soldier of dharma.

United Nations and its hypocrisy over Islamist terrorism

Zeid bin Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein, United Nations    High Commissioner for Human Rights

Yet, again UN unveiled its hypocrisy over terrorism and its double standards addressing Islamist terrorism.

In recent times, favourite punching bags for UNHR seems to be Israel and India. Founded after WW2 keeping in mind consternations of war and safeguarding human rights after the holocaust, it now seems to protect West’s myopic-orientalist-agenda against India and Israel.

A recent tweet by UNHR and video clip of its commissioner describing so-called human rights violations in Kashmir valley, irked government and people of India equally. The report emphasizes on the use of pellet guns unleashed at protestors after July 2016, which reportedly blinded many people. To summarize the report, its main aim is to defame India internationally, exonerate role of Pakistan in Kashmir, and indirectly declare terrorists like Burhan Wani as victims of State aggression.

38 per cent of UN human rights resolutions are aimed at Israel and countries like India and a meagre amount of them doing same for states like Iran and Pakistan which threaten other countries of extinction.

High commissioner of UN Human Rights, “His Royal Highness Zeid bin Ra’ad al-Hussein”, is a Jordanian, first Asian or Arab to have taken this position. He has been criticized by Russia and many factions of media and diplomats for ‘crossing his limits’ and having many political biases. For someone who belongs to a country where people are incarcerated for laws like blasphemy, ‘His Highness’ should be the last one lecturing India on human rights. Jordan has incessantly voted in favour of strengthening blasphemy laws in UN. With all these facts, imagining him drafting a report on human rights seems not only incongruous but humorous.

UN report uses term “armed groups” for terrorist organizations like Hizbul Mujahideen (designated as a terrorist outfit by US and EU) making me wonder,  why not take more liberty and term them as liberals often do “Gandhian with guns”? We find no significant mention of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits due to the same Islamist organisations in the valley in the report.

I urge the UN to have a look at a recent video of “peaceful protesters” pelting not only stones but even bicycles on armed forces convoy, signifying restraint of our armed forces. UN report is based on heresy, and distortions spread by International media and other groups like Amnesty International.

And terrorist as “commanders” it’s not that, this piece of agenda is of any importance or it should bother us but it’s a reminder which we get time and again, only to willingly ignore; we are alone. There is no international media, no international organization, no swanky English speaking elite speaking for us.

Indians, despite being living here, don’t think for the country. Newly emerged activist turned politician like Jignesh Mevani couldn’t help veil his incurable and pathological hatred for State. Others to join the bandwagon, not at all surprisingly, was Prashant Bhushan. Both rather than condemning the UN for their bias, asked people to come forward and paraphrased Hussein’s words.

BJP making a difference where Congress couldn’t

0

With Narendra Modi led BJP government completing four years in May 2018, listed below are four significant changes implemented by BJP in their tenure which Congress couldn’t.

Goods & Services Tax (GST)

  • Building consensus with all the state governments to roll out GST – India’s largest Tax reform since independence which transformed all 29 states and 7 union territories into a single market
  • Congress-led UPA government had struggled for years to roll out the reform over revenue concerns by Maharashtra (Congress ruled), Tamilnadu (non-BJP), Odisha (non-BJP), Kerala (non-BJP) and most of the other states

Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)

  • For long, Industrialists could borrow as much as they wanted from banks and default without any impact
  • As explained in this article earlier, IBC (Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code) is a significant reform which is effectively addressing Bank NPAs worth INR 10 lakh crores ($150 billion) and bringing the money back into the system

The ban on Instant Triple Talaq (verbal divorce)

  • The practice was banned in Islamic countries like Egypt since 1929 and even in Pakistan since 1961
  • In 1980’s Shah Bano case, Congress brought law to prevent such divorced women from receiving financial maintenance. This got them support from powerful religious clerics who controlled the Muslim vote bank
  • In Oct 2016, BJP government submitted an affidavit that it does not support the practice as it is discriminatory against Muslim women and impacts their fundamental rights
  • Kapil Sibal from Congress argued in court in favor of continuing instant Triple Talaq in India “as a matter of faith”
  • Just to reiterate – even in 2017, Congress leader supported continuing this practice in India as a matter of religious sentiment – a practice that is not allowed in 19 Islamic countries including Pakistan and Bangladesh

Abolishing Hajj Subsidy

  • In 2012, Supreme Court had ordered abolition by 2022 but BJP government scrapped it by 2018 (4 years ahead of deadline)
  • Congress had mandated flying only by Air India and fixed high airfares
  • BJP brought in more airlines, reduced the ticket prices and passed on actual financial benefits to hajj travelers. In the new arrangement, the government does not incur the financial burden of subsidy and travelers save thousands of rupees per person which is a win-win situation for all

It is indeed refreshing to see much needed economic and social reforms that will go a long way in improving the life of every Indian.

Startup India, Standup India: Driving Indian Youth from Job Seekers to Job Creators

0

The ‘Startup India, Standup India’ programme is different from the other Modi government initiatives. Weighing the successes or failures of ‘Startup India, Standup India’ in a short period of three years is not practical. This initiative will take its own time to yield some meaningful tangible outcomes. But the change which this initiative is bringing in the environment is quite visible! For the first time, since independence, we are witnessing an atmosphere in the country, where people are discussing the things like entrepreneurship, innovation, new ventures and startups for the youths. During the four years of Modi government, the concepts like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Village Level Entrepreneur, Atal Innovation Mission, Tinkering labs, Smart India Hackathon, MANAK Scheme (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) and NIDHI (National Initiative for Development and Harnessing Innovations) etc. have been introduced in the country.

On 15th August 2015 from the ramparts of Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his vision of ‘Start-up India, Stand-up India’ with the country. A few months later on 16th January 2016, PM Modi launched the Startup India Action Plan. Some of the key policy-based decisions included in the Startup India Action Plan which have helped in the grooming of startup ecosystem are: tax exemption for startups for 3 years, provision of self certification for environmental compliance for white category startups, no inspection of labour laws compliance for three years, discount on patent fee and provision for fast-tracking the process of patent examination, tax exemption on capital gains, relaxation in the norms of public procurement for manufacturing startups, faster exit for startups through Insolvency and Bankruptcy Bill 2015, tax exemption for investments above fair market value, a dedicated Rs.10000 crore ‘Fund of Funds’ and the credit guarantee for Startups etc.

In India, some of the key pain areas for the startups were time and cost involved in the patent filing process, to address this concern through the scheme for ‘Startups Intellectual Property Protection’ government has given up to 80% of rebate in fees combined with free legal assistance, for aspirant entrepreneurs it is a really big relief! Apart from this the Trademark Rules, 2017 have also been amended to provide 50% rebate in fees for Startups.

The government is promoting the Startup Culture in the country through different creative events and mechanism such as Atal Innovation Mission, Startup India Hub, Startup Fest, mobile app and portal for startup registration, Annual Incubator Grand Challenge, by setting up innovation and entrepreneurship centers at National Institutes and building new Research Parks across the country. To promote a culture of innovation and healthy competition which brings out the best talent of the youths a number of competitive events like Atal New India Challenge, Smart India Hackathon, and Agriculture Grand Challenge etc. have been organized by the government along with the different innovative programmes for the school going students too.

In India, where securing highest marks in the 10th or 12th Boards and Medical/Engineering entrance exams is a matter of national celebration and glory, in such an environment encouraging the youths to take risks, to fail often, to show courage to pursue your dream and to build something of your own, was deemed impossible. But in just one go, PM Modi has surpassed this whole mindset. PM Modi had outlined a broad vision of fostering an innovation culture in the country, in which the urban and rural youths, have equal opportunities for growth.

On 6th June 2018, after over three years of ‘Startup India, Standup India’ launch, during PM Modi’s interaction with the young entrepreneurs from across the country, we have heard several success stories on how the different initiatives i.e. ease of filing patents/trademarks (fast track and up to 80% rebate), reforms in labour and environmental laws, Startups linking with Government e-Market Place (GEM) and income tax exemptions for three years etc. have helped these young innovators in shaping their dreams! No data chart or table can better evaluate the success of ‘Startup India, Standup India’ programme than its beneficiaries themselves sharing their real-life experiences related to the change in the system.

As a part of ‘Startup India’ drive, the government has amended the definition of the startups, the scope had been broadened to include scalable business models which have a potential to generate employment or wealth creation. The recognition process of startups has been simplified and as of June 2018, 10029 startups have been recognized by DIPP. Through Startup India hub, which was launched on 1st April 2016, more than 77000 queries of startups have been resolved through telephone, emails, and Twitter. Last year, the hub went online, in which as of now 1, 70, 993 users have enrolled for the learning and development module and 1, 66, 981 users have registered for seeking mentoring and incubation support. Other than Central government’s initiatives, different states i.e. Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Goa, Haryana, Assam, and Punjab have formulated their own Startup Policies too.

In ‘Startup India, Standup India’ there is a focus on the aspirant entrepreneurs of the rural and remote areas too. Under ‘Standup India’ vision the government is providing funding and incubation support to the semi-urban and rural youths. Three years back launched Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) and Standup India Schemes are setting new records! The Mudra Yojana was launched on 8th April 2015 to provide loans of up to Rs. 10 lakh to small and micro enterprises and Standup India facilitates the bank loans of Rs. 10 lakh to 1 crore for Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes or Women Entrepreneurs.

As of now under PMMY, banks and financial institutions have disbursed loans of approx Rs 6 lakh crore to over 12 crore beneficiaries and interestingly the biggest beneficiaries of this scheme, around 74% or 9 crore borrowers are women entrepreneurs. The Mudra Yojana has given a push to the MSME sector of the country. Whether its Uttar Pradesh government’s ‘One District, One Product’ scheme or the concept of ‘Village Level Entrepreneur’ for running Common Service Centre of the government, the government is offering enormous avenues of growth to the young entrepreneurs from every section of the society.

PM Modi has not only provided the policy/institution level support to the youths but on each occasion, he encourages young India to leverage their innovative skills for the growth of the country and to participate in Transforming India. Different ministries and departments of the central government are providing the desired space to Indian startups in their supply chains. A number of startups are actively collaborating with the Central and State Governments in their different initiatives.

One of the most sensitive ministries of the government, the Defense Ministry is encouraging the young Indian startups to participate in the Indian Army’s Modernization and Defense Indigenization drive. The MoD has taken a number of steps to encourage the participation of Startups/MSMEs in the Defense sector. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and MoD have launched a platform called “Society for Indian Defense Start-ups,” an institutional-support mechanism for development and funding of defence startups. In this year’s DefExpo a good number of events were organized to encourage the startups/MSMEs participation in the defence supply chain. On the sidelines of the DefExpo, the Defense ministry was running a hackathon to invite fresh ideas from startups and students with a proper framework of injecting the selected ideas into the system.

Three years back, in his 2015 Independence Day Speech PM Modi has said: “There should not be any district, any block in Hindustan where there are not start-up initiated in the coming days” and after sharing his ‘Startup India, Standup India’ vision with the country he said “you will find that within no time, India would see a network of startup, new entrepreneurs would emerge and they would in-turn provide employment ranging from one to two to four persons which will transform India’s economic life.” Today we can see that his words are turning into a reality.

India is a young country; around 65% of our population is under 35 and 50% of the population is below 25 years of age. Due to a long time involvement in the service sector, a majority of our youths had developed a ‘rent seeker’ attitude. Driving them from ‘Job Seeker’ attitude to ‘Job Creator’ is a challenge and ‘Startup India, Stand up India’ programme is dealing with this challenge effectively! There is a need to infuse this spirit in our youths that it’s not the money in their pockets but ideas in their heads that matters!
