NCP darted, Congress radio-collared Shiv Sena and reduced tiger to striped cat

0

The sudden somersault of Shiv Sena from supporting the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in parliament to not to support the same bill in upper house has exposed how precarious and helpless the tiger is now which was once majestic and powerful in Maharashtra politics. NCP has smartly darted Shiv Sena and fixed it due to its greed for power. Congress has given up its ideology (congress has no ideology in truth to give up) and aligned with Shiv Sena to form government in Maharashtra.

But the tiger forgot the fact that it had been darted and it is in an immobilized state by NCP and hence the tiger is not the tiger as on date and hence the tiger has to listen to its ring master, otherwise the tiger will be bruised and beaten. The innate behaviour of the tiger is to roar and hence it roared in favour of CAB in the parliament but when its ring master tracked the tiger (striped cat) and pulled its claws and canine teeth, the tiger subdued its roar and finally retreat to the cage admitting the truth that the tiger is no more a tiger and now it has been tamed by its master to obey its order and play in circus as per the circus rule.

The helpless tiger has finally made a somersault and made a new statement that it would oppose the bill in the upper house which it had supported and voted in favour of in parliament (lower house). From the somersault, Shiv Sena has admitted to the world that it is not the Uddhav Thackeray who is the boss of Shiv Sena but NCP and Congress party are its real boss and hence Shiv Sena is bound to follow the whip of these parties and must fall in line with the political ideology of NCP and congress party.

People of India are really saddened over Shiv Sena not for the reason that the party is not going to support CAB in upper house but how the party of Balashaheeb Thackeray has surrendered like a mouse before NCP and congress.  For power, no political party in India has reduced itself like a mouse like Shiv Sena before NCP and congress party. No party worker of Shiv Sena who holds great self-pride and dignity over late Balashaheeb Thackeray can digest the helplessness of Uddhav Thackeray, the son of Balashaheeb Thackeray and president of Shiv Sena who surrendered his pride before NCP and congress party which the late Balashaheeb Thackeray opposed till his death.

Shiv Sena first has betrayed its ideology, mandate of the people and now agreed to behave like a mouse just to hang onto power. People of India are watching and observing every event that is happening in both parliament and Rajya sabha.

Already people of Karnataka has shown the world that any political party that break and betray the mandate of people and form unholy alliance will be defeated and eliminated from the political map of India. Soon the people of Maharashtra are going to write the obituary column of Shiv Sena and congress party.

NCP has emerged as a clear winner at the national level by diminishing the stature of congress party. Further NCP supremo also has said recently in a Television interview that the whole process of alliance got delayed because the congress party was demanding various cabinet berths in Maharashtra government. The statement of NCP supremo has exposed the greed and restless of congress party to grab the cabinet berths than getting engaged in preparing common minimum programme.

People of India must expose both Shiv Sena and congress by giving a fitting reply to these parties in the next election. Only when people defeat Shiv Sena and congress party, other political parties also would start to follow some basic discipline and would never take people of India for granted.

People of India must stay united and must support Modi unconditionally to save India from corrupt, dynastic political forces and tukde tukde gangs that want to grab power and loot the nation.

India is transforming under Modi; India is experiencing a corruption free, development centric, sab ka vikas focused governance. Coalition government is the birth place of corruption; whereas stable, single party majority led government alone can assure decisive, assertive, fair and corruption free government to India. People of India must work extra hours to reach out to every fellow Indian to spread the good governance of Modi and the importance of supporting Modi to save India.

The fight that India faces today is between good and bad, god and ghost, honesty and corruption.  We do not need ghost to have god. The government of Modi is truth and honesty based and hence India needs no opposition. People must defeat all those divisive forces and forces that make the political capital out of minority appeasement and Hindu hatred. Let us work together and defeat all dynastic, corrupt forces in India.

Rare interview from 1990 of Kashmiri Hindus highlighting the plight faced by community

0

A Rare interview from June 1990 of Kashmiri Hindus has been uploaded recently which highlights the issues faced by the community which sought refugee in different parts of India during the time. The interview of prominent Kashmiri Hindu activists Mr. Agni Shekhar and Mr. Shailendra Aima is one of the rare interviews available now from that time. Both highlight the plight of Kashmiri Hindus and issues faced by the Hindu refugees during their exodus from the valley.

Capture from the Video

The interview is critical since it is recorded from the time when Exodus of Hindus from Valley was almost complete and people were still not rehabilitated by the Indian Government. There has been a planned attempt to suppress the events of 1989-90 in Kashmir, which led to the exodus of Hindus from the valley. The interview clearly highlights that the government of India had to clue about what was going on and provided no immediate help to the homeless refugees.

Mr. Agnishekhar highlights how more than 45,000 families consisting of more than 2 lakh people only had 3000 tents to live in. Refugees were forced to live on roads, parks, temples and Gurudwaras. It has been highlighted how BJP & RSS were one of the first organizations to offer help to the refugees in distress.

The most critical part of the interview is when Mr. Agnishekhar and Mr. Aime highlight the point that one of the major challenges being faced was fighting the misinformation campaign of Human rights organizations. Human Rights organization, PUCL has been named in specific. They highlight how human rights organizations were attempting to kill the story of Hindu exodus from Valley and provided no help to the refugees who fled the valley.

Kashmiri Hindus for the last 3 decades have been making every attempt to tell their story to the world who have forgotten about one of the biggest internal displacement of people in India post-independence. The interview sheds a light on the situation of Kashmiri Hindu refugees then who still after 3 decades haven’t been able to return to a safe Kashmir. The complete interview is available on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOAhceBL0ro

The fear of losing

0

Why should she think several times as to how she is going to come back by herself late at night? Why should my heart skip a beat if she is just half hour late for no reason? Why should my voice break when her phone goes unanswered two times in a row? I and many like me don’t deserve this fear. These brutal gang rapes are straight forward cases, unlike other complex rape cases where it takes long investigations to determine what exactly happen. The criminals who dare for these crimes should fear and not us. Are these criminals fearless

Why is my country failing to incite fear in these useless punks who commit horrifying brutal gang rapes like Nirbhaya and Disha cases?

I know there are more than 20 million cases pending in the courts at various levels but I don’t think that would make a criminal fearless. Why? Even with these numbers, would you dare to murder the person who you hate the most and probably imagine killing him every single time you look at his face? I guess not! Why? You would not take this big a chance with your life; maybe the case gets assigned to a super smart cop with an IQ level twice that of yours and he simply cut opens and puts your cleverly planned perfect murder like an art exhibition.

But what if you were to lose say 100k if you get caught? Would you think of taking that  chance now? You might, you can afford the loses if you get caught. The odds are in your favor now.

My point being, the fear depends on the price you are going to pay if caught. And that’s where the state fails. Because the price a criminal pays after being caught is the same for every one, it depends on the crime and not the criminal.

Different people fear losing different things. I would fear losing 100k if that’s all I got, but I won’t fear losing it if I make 100k every week. Would you? That’s the only reason the super rich don’t fear the fines. Many people fear the idea of going to the jail, its a matter of their reputation in the society, some don’t. Infact the politicians find going to the jail as a symbol of their “bahubal” in a lot of cases.

Now coming to the punishment for the brutal gang rapes that happen every now and then. What is common in the culprits of Delhi’s Nirbhaya and Hyderabad’s Disha? People like these rapists don’t fear because they don’t have anything to lose. They live on  daily wages, the social circle they live in has the same characters that make prison a prison. In fact a life imprisonment for them assure that they won’t die of hunger and will always have a roof over their heads. How is our law going to incite fear of losing something in any such person? Is relieving them from their miseries by sentencing them for execution going to incite fear in them?

Could there be a punishment that would incite sufficient fear in potential criminals like these?

How about donating each and every organ that could be donated? And more precisely in a particular order and not all of them at once. In the first year, donate an eye, next year a kidney, next  bone marrow and then another eye. Living without vision is shit scary, isn’t it. Then donating all other organs before relieving them of their pain and misery. There are thousands and thousands people who die every year because of unavailability of the organ donors. A win win situation for every one.

If this becomes the law, it would never be my heart that would skip a beat when she is late, it would be their hearts that would skip a beat at the thought of losing an eye. It would not be my voice that would break when the phone call goes unanswered two times in a row, but it would be their voice that would break thinking of losing one kidney. They would be the ones thinking several times as to how they are going to live in complete darkness after losing both of their eyes and she would not have to think as to how she will come home safely late at night all by herself.

But this type of punishment would not even be considered for discussions. Why? Because some religions don’t approve of organ donations. The political party who would try to bring this in the system will be labeled as communal.

Nirbhaya rapists are living a better life than what they had before they were imprisoned, even those who did not get a sewing machine and 10,000 Rs from Mr. Kejriwal. And, Dr. Disha’s rapists were relieved even before they were tried. And by the way,  if the four Hyderabad rapists had died in a car accident, would you have still considered that the justice had been done? I don’t think so.

The truth is that we the people of India and the lawyers of India had long stopped worrying about the justice, we all were more interested in the law. That’s why, a better lawyer, a lawyer with more connections wins the case by hook or by crook but not the one who fights for the justice. But in the last few years, we moved a step further. We are not even in the business of law anymore, we are in the business of perception. Media trials, social media  decide the verdict. Encounter is neither justice nor law, it just caters to the perception crisis created over the years.

Protesting for selective crimes is not going to fix anything, it would only create a perception that Indians are well aware of the problem and are willing to fix  them. But the truth is that the Indian Legal system needs urgent reforms. We have to start look at the root causes of the problems and not just the shortcuts. If we don’t, we keep watching these incidents on news channels and just do nothing.

Karnataka by-poll outcome – the said and unsaid message of people

0

The by-poll result has not just sends shock waves to the congress party but it has ringed the death bell of congress party and the congress might die if the party fails to resurrect itself from the impending disaster.

In Karnataka the congress party literally molested the mandate of people and joined hand with JDS and formed the government just to stop BJP from power, but the mandate was for BJP. The sole motive of the congress party then was to stop BJP from power. BJP got near majority in Karnataka but JDS-Congress combine assaulted the mandate of people.

Any unholy alliance just formed for power to swindle money from public exchequer is bound to fall and finally as expected, JDS-Congress experiment ended in tyranny. All those congress legislatures who were extremely unhappy with congress party joining with JDS went against the party but the speaker in a partisan manner disqualified all those legislatures and barred them even from contesting election till the end of the present term. But all of them got justice from Supreme Court and contested from BJP symbol and won the by-poll. If congress party is unwilling to learn its hard lesson from the neighbouring state of Karnataka by-poll outcome, the fate of congress party in Maharashtra is going to be dictated by NCP and not by congress party.

Karnataka has thrown two clear messages to the political parties in India. People have decided to weigh or gauge the greater betrayal and only on the basis they are going to vote in future. Congress party of the dynast and the Father-Son due of JDS took the people of the state for granted by stealing the mandate from behind the screen and formed the government. But the mandate was for BJP and not for congress and JDS. Subsequently several congress and JDS legislatures defied the party and quit from the post of member of the legislative assembly. But the speaker who is a congress man disqualified all those MLAs and barred them from contesting election till the present term of the government is over. But all those disqualified MLAs went to the Supreme Court and got judgment disqualifying the extra-constitutional power of the speaker in barring them from contesting election, contested the election under BJP and won comfortably.

The question is why people of Karnataka has elected all those left the congress party and joined BJP to power and does that not mean defection is a non-issue among people?

We should read the outcome from a different perspective. To punish those who have betrayed the mandate of people, especially the congress and JDS, supporting those who did the same trick with congress and JDS is inevitable and only through some unacceptable means the larger evil can be destroyed is the message people of Karnataka has proved. We have to adopt some unacceptable means sometime in our life when our objective is the destruction of the larger evil that is the political parties that betray the mandate of people. In the case of Karnataka, congress and JDS defeated the mandate of prople which was for BJP.

People of Karnataka have followed the path of Lord Ram and that is why they have elected 12 of 15 candidates of BJP and not JDS or congress. Lord Ram has to kill Vali at any cost and it was possible only through veiled fight and not by direct fight. Hence Lord Ram adopted hide and fight Vali to destroy him. The larger evil should be destroyed first and to achieve such goal, we may have to adopt some limited unethical means and that is ok from the perspective of justice.

It is like how people of Orissa have elected BJD for the state and Modi in the parliamentary election. To defeat congress, electing those defected from congress and joined BJP is must and that is why people have elected all those BJP candidates.

Considering the maturity of the electorates and changing topography of Indian politics; India being ruled by a honest leader PM Modi who is focusing on development and sab ka vikas, the congress party should not waste any time to pull down Shiv Sena government. If congress party continue to support Shiv Sena, the congress party will face the same fate like what it has faced in Karnataka.

Congress party should fight for its relevance at national level and should not play any role in resurrecting the political ambition of those regional parties. When the regional parties gain political significance, naturally the congress party would be the big loser and hence defeating and weakening the regional parties should be the primary focus of congress party and not stopping BJP from power.

By congress supporting Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, congress party has given the national leadership of those opposing BJP to NCP and Shiv Sena. The dynast of the congress party has lost his relevance among people, among the opposition parties and finally within the party. If congress party continue the same old politics of 1960’s, it would vanish from India’s political map.

Is CAB stimulating secular hue?

0

So much hue and cry continues over the CAB, which needs no foreword. It awaits 121 members’ vote for its passage in the Upper House of the Parliament. Home minister Amit Shah said oppressed minorities in neighbouring three countries viz., Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan will be considered for Indian citizenship. Those who have been residing are happy at the decision. Adnan Sami, a famous singer has even supported the bill.

Was the Bill directed towards adjusting the difference among the voters on religious lines? What the Congress party did in the past years was perceived by the ruling BJP as reasonable now. That’s why it has attempted to bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill on the third time in the parliament. Though the numbers favour passage of the bill in Rajya Sabha, opposition parties leave no chance of stalling. The ruling party leaders are confident of securing the complete numbers. It is a game of numbers undoutedly. Once passed finally; it will boost the chance of BJP for winning the state assemblies elections after increase in its supporters. Delhi assembly has the Aam Aadmi Party govt which disturbs the ruling party leaders. They want to send its MLAs in the state assembly that is possible only through increase in the vote bank. Can the CAB not help in this direction?

The Congress party looks at its interest while the TMC is the most vocal political party after Assaduddin Owaisi against the bill. The demonstrations in Assam and other NE states are said to have staged owing to other political purposes as a few experts insisted but it cannot be denied that disagreement also looms on the concern for the votes. The religious tint had existed during the partition and the same hue appears in the 2019.

The midnight decision, CAB and tears of persecuted people

0

“the 15th and 16th May, I visited Assam, Tripura and West Bengal, to share the suffering of the refugees from Bangladesh, to convey them the sympathy and support of this House and the people or India and to see for myself the arrangements which are being made for their care.”

INDIRA GANDHI, Lok Sabha, 24 May, 1971

At midnight when the world was sleeping the line was drawn dividing brothers and sisters. Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Parsis, Buddhists who did not want to be citizens of an Islamic theocratic state had little choice once the political boundary was drawn. Many did not want to leave their birth place, so decided to stay there in Pakistan.

The amendment of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 aims to provide Indian citizen rights to the persecuted minorities belonging to the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Jain and Parsi communities from the neighboring countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. While those in support of the amendments opine that it is a much required amendment to safeguard the lives of minorities in these Islamic countries, those who are opposed to it say that it is ‘communal’ as it excludes the Muslims. The facts available show that the minorities in these 3 countries have been persecuted by the Muslims and the Islamic establishment in a organised manner, a fact which the Congress, Left and self-proclaimed liberals willfully neglect.

Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians, Jains and Parsis in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh despite being a minority after partition in 1947, have their population decreased to a minuscule proportions. The Nehru-Liaquat pact had promised rights to minorities and safeguard their lives but the Hindu population in Pakistan fell from 22% in 1951 to 7-8% in 2018. 40 Lakh Hindus relocated to India between 1951 and 1970 even after the Nehru-Liaquat pact due to rampant atrocities on them in Pakistan. Christians too have been target to Islamic fundamentalists in Pakistan. Buddhists have been killed and persecuted in Afghanistan by the Taliban and other entities.

Witnessing the travails of Hindus in Pakistan Mahatma Gandhi had openly declared in a prayer meeting on September 26, 1947 that the Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan can come to India by all means if they do not wish to continue to live there. In that case, it is the first duty of the Indian government to give them jobs and make their lives comfortable. But the Congress party which swears by Gandhi is now opposed to the CAB which is ironic. The Hindus have been the most persecuted community in Pakistan and Bangladesh. While the Hindus in Afghanistan were already minuscule before the turn of the 20th century, the horror of Islamic fundamentalism continued to hit them even during the freedom movement and later in Pakistan and Bangladesh. In 1951 while the population of Hindus reduced drastically from 22% to mere 8.5% in Bangladesh, the population of Muslims there has risen from 76% to 91% between 1951 and 2018. Even in India, the population of Hindus has decreased from 85% to 79% where as that of Muslims has increased from 9.8% to 15.2% during the same period. The need to protect Hindu lives does not need any more reasons.

Is CAB against Assam accord?

The Opposition led by Congress and TMC are trying to misguide the nation by saying that the CAB is against Assam Accord. But the truth is that Pakistan and Bangladesh have always tried to make Assam a Muslim Dominated State. Infiltration from Bangladesh is not unknown to the country and the aid Pakistan gives to foment Islamic fundamentalism in Bangladesh is also too well know. Pakistan has claimed that parts of Assam and North-East should be part of a Islamic nation as they had sizable population of Muslims. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in his book ‘Myths of Independence’ wrote, “It would be wrong to think that Kashmir is the only dispute that divides India and Pakistan, though undoubtedly the most significant. One at least is nearly as important as the Kashmir dispute, that of Assam and some districts of India adjacent to East Pakistan. To these Pakistan has very good claims.” Failure to get Assam included in East Pakistan in 1947 remained a source of perpetual resentment among Pakistanis. It continues to aid and abet Islamic radicals in Bangladesh and Assam to create unrest in the society.

Minorities especially Hindus have been targeted to murder, rape, kidnapping and forceful conversion both in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Hindus are Pakistan’s largest minority, and around 80% live in Sindh province. They face land-grabbing, attacks, and kidnapping. Forced conversions, temple desecration, rape, and murder are also reported regularly. Christians are the second major minority community across the country, and about 80% live in Punjab province. They are the poorest section of society and often falsely accused of blasphemy against Islam and face constant violence. During just the first two weeks of 2016, five attacks on churches and Christians were reported by the media. Pakistan‘s minority communities face danger not only from militants and terrorists, but often from their fellow citizens, who consider them inferior.

The genesis of this attitude lies in the state’s philosophy, which is based on one particular religion: Islam. Since the birth of the country, the state has been directly and indirectly promoting an ideology which makes minorities second-class citizens in their own land. The ill-treatment of minorities is two-fold: biased legislation and social intolerance. These two forms of discrimination do not operate in isolation; rather, they work together and are mutually reinforcing the law also contributes to these discriminatory practices. Though the constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights for every citizen under Article 25, the same document prohibits non-Muslims from becoming president or prime minister. The same standard applies to other high positions within the government.

In 2014, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) lawmaker Ramesh Kumar Wankwani had told the Pakistani National Assembly that around 5,000 Hindus migrate from Pakistan to India and other countries every year due to religious persecution. Population of Hindus in Pakistan keeps dwindling as they migrate to avoid persecution. Hindu exodus in India especially from Pakistan is a regular phenomenon but the UPA Government never paid any respect to their cause. This is despite the promise made by Jinnah himself. Hindu temples and properties are attacked over allegations of blasphemy or disrespecting Islam. Most of them are false and are mostly to target Hindus. Recently a Hindu teacher was accused of Blasphemy and properties of Hindus in Sindh province were destroyed by Muslim mobs. Kushtia Islamic University professor Dr. Rashid Askari observes “This steep decline has mostly resulted from the overall effect of the persecution inflicted on the Hindus over the decades…the people who once constituted one third of the total population, have been reduced almost to a vanishing breed always threatened with extinction”.

In Bangladesh too, Hindus are targets of vandalism, murder, illegal occupation and rapes. Hindu temples are vandalized and idols broken over charges of blasphemy. Shops and establishments of Hindus are targeted by Muslim mobs over smallest of altercations. Between 1978 and 1980 Hindus and Buddhists in Bangladesh had to face genocidal situation. Just in 2013 more than 15 Hindu temples were vandalized or set ablaze in different parts of Bangladesh. In December 2016, 15 temples were vandalized and houses of Hindus were looted by armed Muslim gangs after a small fight.

Lives of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists in Afghanistan is no different. Though the non-Muslim minorities constitute less than one percent of the population, most of them too seek refuge elsewhere due to religious persecution. During the rule of the Taliban, Hindus were forced to wear identity labels. Before the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, Hindu and Sikh leaders estimated their combined population at more than 100,000 nationwide. In 1992, more than 15,000 Hindu families fled to neighboring India, leaving only about 3,000 Hindu and Sikh families in Kabul. Today, just more than 300 Sikh families remain in the capital. As late as June 2018, 10 members of Afghanistan’s Sikh minority were killed in a targeted suicide bombing in the eastern city of Jalalabad. From around 50,000 in the early 1990′ s there are fewer than 2,000 Hindus and Sikhs in cities like Ghazni, Jalalabad and Kandahar. In Kabul there are about 520 Sikhs and Hindus, in 40 Sikh and 10 Hindu families. Those remaining and wish to relocate, India remains there last hope.

“It know of several cases where even visas were not allowed to Hindus having Pakistan passports So that they can come here. Perhaps, there was the fear in the mind of the Government that they might surrender the passports and remain here. These things must stop. I must state very categorically on behalf of the Bengali people that these things have got to be stopped. You must allow all people to come here who want to come away–this is •the immediate short-range problem. You must allow them to come here whether they have got valid migration certificate or not because you have not made arrangements whereby everybody who wants to come away can get the migration certificate. The people who cross the border and take shelter in India must be given refugee certificates or migration certificates whatever it is. For God’s sake, you allow them to come away and live here.” (Lok Sabha, 12 February, 1964.)

Is India’s education system sustaining the Left?

0

Over the past couple of months all major news channels have been rife with reports of protests being conducted in the national capital by JNU students labouring against a fee hike. Even though I am far away in foreign land, every time I streamed a live news debate, the entire issue spilled into my living room. This was also brought in focus when Sadhguru was besieged by leftist newbies in a few college campuses in the country. Time and again, therefore I have been forced to ruminate on this recurring manifestation of the Left in college campuses and why are universities particularly so vulnerable to it!

The blame in my opinion, must surely lie with India’s defunct education system. Our education system is not in consonance with the land it lives and thrives on!

Ancient India:

Prior to colonization had a Gurukul system, where the richest and poorest kids shared living quarters, learnt farming, archery, strategy, Sanskrit from their masters. They took care of the cattle and treated their teacher – the Guru and his wife as parents.

As a child, I was first made aware of the nuances of our Gurukul system while watching Ramayan, where Lord Ram, a prince, shared quarters with his not so affluent friends. A slightly older me, admired the education system practised during the time of Mahabharat, when Lord Krishna took care of his cattle during his childhood. If one were to judge them by the standards laid down by our present education system, we would term both Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as uneducated.

That this knowledge passed down from our ancestors, helped us thrive can be gauged from the fact that prosperous ancient India was host to world’s most premiere seat of education, the Nalanda. This prosperity drew many invaders who systematically destroyed our temple architecture and butchered the monks, burnt a million books of ancient wisdom that were housed in Nalanda, 800 years ago. The fire, it is said, burnt for months!

Then came the British:

Our persistent, education system of the Gurukuls was turning out to be quite a show stopper for the British. There was resistance to the Empire and this could be traced back to our ancient education system. Enter Macaulay with his “Education Reform” of 1835.

Macaulay denigrated our traditional education system, openly calling it inferior.

“I have never found one among the Orientalists who could deny that a single shelf of a good European library was worth the whole native literature of India…..It is, I believe, no exaggeration to say, that all the historical information which has been collected from all the books written in the Sanskrit language is less valuable than what may be found in the most paltry abridgments used at preparatory schools in England.

This passage, these words are taken directly from Lord Macaulay’s Minute on Indian Education.

In the Minute, he goes on to argue for creation of a different class of Indians.

“We must at present do our best to form a class who may be interpreters between us and the millions whom we govern; a class of persons, Indian in blood and colour, but English in taste, in opinions, in morals, and in intellect.”

Macaulay’s words became a reality for British India. Over time the funding to vernacular language teaching and study of Sanskrit was reduced.  The Gurukul education system was allowed to stutter and die. The education system, in India started producing a whole race of Brown Sahibs, who to quote Macaulay, looked Indian but were British in opinion and thoughts!

Independent India:

In 1947, over 100 years after those words were uttered by Macaulay, the British recovering from the wounds of two World Wars, withdrew from India. But they left behind a breed of Brown Sahibs and their British education system still intent on producing more such Indians with British Soul. In fact, if one were to argue then the reigns of the country were left in the hands of a group of Brown Sahibs. This was primarily due to the fact that the benchmarks of intelligence at that time, were all British. These Brown Sahibs, hobnobbing with their colonizers in the corridors of Oxford and Cambridge picked up some uniquely European diseases, namely Socialism and Marxism. An independent India, at that time, seemed like a fertile ground for these diseases to grow. And grow they did.

In the absence of an empire to serve, an ideology to adhere to, the British Education system produced more and more Brown Sahibs who, in their effort to align with Europe but rebel against Britain, became socialists, communists. Still disconnected from the land of their ancestors, they professed their allegiance to Karl Marx in Europe instead of the British crown.

The death of this anti India Education System, ought to have happened in 1991, when the Economy was opened. A liberalized India, post Y2k, owes its prosperity more to America than to any European country. Large number of Indians are populating the most developed country in the world, prospering there, on the basis of their brains and mathematical abilities. A gift that now research tells us, can be traced to our Vedic, Sanskrit routes.

Persisting with an education system that does not honour our Vedic routes is the reason why anarchists still continue to be produced. They might learn a few lines of coding to survive in a tech economy but in their hearts, they continue to spout the misguided teachings of Karl Marx and the workings of Mao. High time that the government brings our Education System back a full circle to its Vedic Origins, completely. Time that the government makes School Education about languages, maths and experiential learning, and not just on a piecemeal basis.

In one of the debates I watched, there was a young student leader from JNU, who professed on live TV, that he was the son of a farmer. He went on, in the same breath, to flaunt his esoteric subject for doing a PhD and his mobile phone which was more than his father’s half yearly wage. Why should the tax payer of India fund such scholars? Wouldn’t it have been better if tax payers funds were used to reward a farmer’s son who does some stellar work in Agricultural Sciences, eventually not just adding to the country’s riches but also directly contributing to improve the lives of farmers, such as his own father?

For India, the writing is on the wall:

We need to imagine our future as a continuation of our glorious past. How can that happen if we continue to persist with a neither-here-nor-there education system, producing ideological anarchists! How can that happen if we continue to pander to European standards of excellence, instead of developing our own benchmarks! How can that happen if we do not integrate our modern education system to the ancient ones, the Nalandas, the Gurukuls, that have nurtured, sustained our civilization for ages!

CAB is all about giving citizenship to persecuted Indians and not taking away: Problem of congress party in giving than taking

0

Congress party of India and other tukde tukde gangs that oppose the much needed, well thought over Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) introduced by Shri Amit Shah, the Honourable Home Minister of India under the able leadership of PM Modi and BJP; has a psychological reason and hence they oppose the bill. For Congress, giving is a problem but no problem in taking everything from India.

Each and every good thing that has happened in India since independence, the one family of the congress party is ready to take the credit. But giving anything back to the nation is quite difficult and almost impossible for the congress party. Let us look at the governance style of UPA 1 and 2. Both UPA 1 and 2 were alleged to have touched the rock bottom of corruption, India was under shame and ignominy due to various scam allegations of UPA and its thick & thin alliance partner DMK.

The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is all about giving citizenship to persecuted Indians such as Christians, Sikh, Buddhist, Hindus etc., and CAB is not about taking away the citizenship of Muslims or other minority communities. Only when someone become the citizen of this country the question of revoking or cancelling the citizenship of such individuals should be taken up for debate or question. But the proposed CAB by Modi’s government is a part of sab ka sath sab ka vikas agenda of BJP where lakhs of persecuted Indians by Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who are residing in India as refugees.

It is a crime against humanity and civility that a natural Indian has to live in India as refugee and he or she is not given citizenship that they legally, constitutionally, politically, socially, morally and ethically deserve. The CAB is the responsibility of any elected government because the government of India is mandated to do justice to India and Indians and not for Pakistani or Bangladeshi or Afghanistani people.

But the congress party and other tukde tukde gangs in the opposition are misrepresenting the facts and trying to sell false narratives about CAB to people. They want to divide the country on the line of Hindus and Muslims. Congress and other opposition parties wants to continuously milk the vote bank politics through minority appeasement and fear mongering among minority communities.

Revoking or removing the citizenship of anyone comes into effect only when the ‘someone’ under reference is already a citizen of India. But CAB is not referring to or its intention is to remove the citizenship of anyone who is already the citizen of India, irrespective of their religion or faith affiliation.

The limited objective of the CAB is to grant citizenship to all those persecuted Indians. The agenda of BJP and PM Modi are not politics but governance and equality. Social, political, economic and educational justice to people is the sole motive of BJP and only with such objectives in mind Modi government has introduced the CAB bill. But unfortunately the opposition parties especially the grand old party – Indian National Congress does not want citizenship to the granted to all persecuted Indians, as it looks like and wants to create politics out of CAB by fueling fear and suspicion among minority communities.

No citizen of India will be affected or questioned about their citizenship. It is only those non-Indians have to worry and fear and not the Indians. Persecuted Indians need justice and such justice only the motherland of all those persecuted Indians can grant and not by any other Islamic neighbouring countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh or Afghanistan.

The status of minority communities such as Sikhs, Buddhist, Hindus etc., in these countries is quite bad. Under the grab of Islamic state, forced conversion or persecution is only happening to all these minority communities and many Indians who do not approve of forced conversion are fleeing to India because India is their natural country or origin.

The political forces that are rooted in corruption, dynastic politics and minority appeasement are up in ante opposing CAB because they see that all those persecuted Indians may support PM Modi and their minority base may shrink once citizenship to all those persecuted Indians are given.

It looks like congress party and other tukde tukde gangs want the persecuted Indians to remain in India as refugees, without any rights, benefits and equality because all these parties want to sustain their vote bank politics through minority appeasement.

Giving is a problem for congress party.  Look at the tradition of congress party. Sonia was the president and she bequeathed her post to her son. When her son resigns to make a big scene after terrible loss of face in 2019 parliament election, again the mother took over the party as its president. Again the president-ship of the party will go to her son. Even the party president-ship the congress party does not want to give to any other congress party worker. Good governance, congress party never want to give to India.  Otherwise India would not have been like what it was before 2014.

PM Modi is the first Prime Minister of India since independence to recognise the basic needs to poor people and built toilets, provided cooking gas connection, provided electricity, opened bank accounts and ensured direct transfer of the schemes of government so that no pilferage take place by middlemen.

PM Modi is recognising and solving every problem of every Indian, ensuring the governance goes to their door step, make people experience and enjoy how the governance should be, what is the meaning of development and finally shows the report card on how India was under dynastic politics filled with nepotism and corruption.

India must salute PM Modi and Amit Shah for bringing CAB and people must pledge their unconditional support to Modi to save India from corrupt, dynastic forces.
