TRS MP candidate wants ONLY dynasties in politics

It is well known that Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is a “family” party with K. Chandrashekar Rao being the CM of Telangana, his son K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) calling the shots in TRS, his daughter Kavita being the lone woman MP from TRS in Lok Sabha. His nephew T. Harish Rao was also very heavily involved in TRS activities though he seems to have fallen out of favor with KCR-KTR recently.

Now another “leader” looks to have emerged in keeping up the tradition of TRS. The following video is making waves in Telugu social media. This is from a very recent interview of TRS candidate for the prestigious Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat. The candidate Talasani Saikiran Yadav, son of TRS minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, made some very sensational statements about dynasty in politics. He says that “just like a doctor’s son becomes doctor, a pan-dabba owner’s son follows his father’s footsteps and owns a pan-dabba, similarly a politician’s son should become a politician”. He goes on to assure the kind people of Telangana that his son will become ONLY a politician.

It looks like the TRS leaders do not believe in the economic upward movement of people and wants them to be stuck doing what their parents have been doing. While there is a Government which is working hard to move more and more people out of poverty into middle class, we seem to have a State Government which is bent on keeping status quo.

This is not the first time the young “leader” or his family has been caught on the wrong foot. There is a case registered against this guy for assaulting another person back in 2015[1]. His dad’s brother was booked for running selling liquor in a bar[2] .

Additionally, he was accused, by a sitting MP from Araku [Kothapalli Geetha], of kidnapping her husband in a land grabbing case. The MP’s husband gave a statement to the police that Talasani Sai Kiran forced him to sign papers and took over the land worth crores[3]. This guy said in a recent interview that if his family gets into land grabbing then there won’t be any houses left in Hyderabad. Scary to think TRS wants to send such a “dignified, humility personified” person as its MP from Secunderabad.
