Donald Trump supporting Narendra Modi

As far as India is concerned, any party the American people elect, is the legitimate/deserving party to govern that country. Because, it is the sovereign right of that country’s people to have their say.

India needs Trump support in respect of Trade, Terrorism and Geo-politics. In exchange, the US will get a giant manufacturing market for investment and a strategic pillar for the USA to counter rising China.

While Trump is referred to as a racist, Modi is referred to as a fascist from a small portion of the Indian population calling themselves as leftists/liberals.

The India-U.S.-Japan-Australia quad must not remain a quad merely on paper. Further, it would be propitious to include more nations into such an alliance.

Time for liberals to become practical, pragmatic and realistic in not claiming themselves to be who they are not.

It hasn’t taken long for the usual suspects to portray the Indo-US trade deal deferment as a setback for India and a defeat of PM Modi’s foreign policy.

Earlier, USA was important for India and now India is important for USA, This is difference that Modi brought.
