Cross pathy, gift of science – AYUSH versus gift of god

0

We must legally and scientifically separate what is called as the ‘gift of God’ from the ‘gift of science’ when we deal with AYUSH and allopathic system of medicine so that the conflicts between the two can be minimized and simultaneously the acceptance of both can be maximized.

The traditional healing practices such as Siddha and Ayurveda are believed to have come as the ‘gift of God’ to humanity. On the contrary the allopathic system of medicine has come out of rigorous scientific investigations and scientific proof. The healing practices gifted by God should be preserved with its fullness, native essence, spirit and feelings. Native healing practices like Siddha and Ayurveda has lots to offer to humanity by way of providing mind healing, bio-moral guidance and divine hope etc., to deal the health challenges of progressive and degenerative in nature.

But admixing of modern medicine portions in the curriculum of Siddha and Ayurveda has totally derailed the credence of the system and the evidence being the rampant cross pathy by most of the institutionally qualified Siddha and Ayurveda vaidya in private practice. Those AYUSH vaidyas exhibit great struggles to prove they are also doctor to justify cross pathy. Unfortunately they earn quackery and medical mal practice feel to AYUSH through such engagement. AYUSH has lots to offer to humanity as the system is rich in paramedical procedures and recipes. The simple herbs like ginger, pepper, beetle leaves etc., can offer wonderful paramedical relief which the AYUSH vaidyas can proudly promote and propagate.

The massage therapy using different oils for different types of pain, rejuvenation, relaxation are quite unique which the AYUSH vaidyas in private practice can promote than engaging in illegal act called cross pathy without proper learning either about the allopathic drug or about the diagnosis. Many Siddha vaidyas in private practice in Tamil Nadu through cross pathy has destroyed the glory and significance of Siddha system. However still several Siddha vaidyas are offering great health care service to humanity by practicing strictly Siddha system in Tamil Nadu.

The roots of Siddha system lies in human faith, belief system, discipline, bio-moral recipes, diet regimen and complete submission to the treating vaidya. It is not just the recipe that relieves the patient but their faith in the vaidya also is needed for faster recovery. In that sense our ancient vaidyas had magical / Midas touch to treat the patient.

The gift of God must be further developed with the help of scientific tests. Mixing or including allopathic portions such as anatomy, pathology, physiology, pharmacology etc., in the curriculum of AYUSH would harm the progress of the system and that would result in secret cross pathy by the vaidyas in private practice.

Need of the hour is to separate AYUSH completely from allopathic system of medicine and infuse research science and basic science to the vaidyas separately in order to develop their curiosity, research flair and research activities.

Cross pathy by AYUSH vaidyas in private practice must be curbed strictly and only then the efforts of Ministry of AYUSH to promote AYUSH as great source of health, wellness and paramedical wisdom become successful.

The ethnicity of AYUSH lies also partly in human faith, occultism, divine faith, tradition, culture and religion. Therefore AYUSH should not be separated from its umbilical cord and AYUSH curriculum should not be polluted or adulterated with portions of allopathic science. Instead, AYUSH must be promoted for wellness and paramedical care than for treating diseases. Cross pathy is if not prevented; it may destroy the relevance and values of AYUSH.

Sabarimala issue is not the first of its kind. Palani temple in Tamil Nadu faced a lot more but never gave up

0

We all know about the chaos going on in Sabarimala and the adamant nature of Communist Government in Kerala trying to suppress the voice of millions for its own political and communistic gains.

It should be remembered that Sabarimala case is not the first of its kind where Government tried to go against the will of the people and Hindu culture. A very similar case has been active since decades in Kerala’s neighboring state Tamil Nadu. However, the media has never bothered to bring it up because it might add up to the momentum of Sabarimala’s protests.

Palani in Tamil Nadu is a popular temple town with ancient Murugan (Subramanya, Palaniyappan, Velmurugan are the other names) temple. The Moolamurthy (original idol) is thousands of years old and was consecrated by Siddha Bhogar, a saint from the place. When he was roaming in the area, he felt the intense positive vibes in the Palani hill and decided to consecrate a Murti for Murugan atop the hill. He was a chemist too and came up with a unique formula in which nine poisons (Nava Pashana) were combined to make the idol (Murti). These poisons acted as venom if taken individually but were intensely positive and had therapeutic benefits when combined in a specific proportion. He wanted all the devotees to get the benefits of the Murti when they consume the water and milk that was part of the Abhishekam to the Murti. He successfully installed the deity on the hill and assigned the daily Puja works to his disciple Pulippaani Siddhar who followed his orders selflessly for decades.

The temple was later built and renovated by many kings of the region. The 4th-century king Perumal of Chera dynasty was the first king to cut out a pathway to the hill and carry the materials for temple construction. Later, Pandyas rebuilt and extended the temple and the popularity of the temple only grew until the 1970s when the anti-hindu forces targeted the temple because of its immense popularity and associated cultural beliefs.

The following list of incidents summarize the attempts to destroy the temple and the reactions.

  1. The early 1970s – Several Siddha clinics were established around the Palani hill claiming that the chief priest helped them scraping the Murti and their medicines had traces of it. A strong belief of deceit on priest was seeded along with the rumor that the idol has lost its value/energy. It was later found through the investigation of the State Drug Control Department that the clinics were fraud and no traces of Nava Pashana were found in the medicines.
  2. 1983 – Several petitions were submitted to the authorities and government claiming that the Murti was in danger and might collapse at any time and it was necessary to replace the murti with a new Panchaloha Murti. It is said that more than 100 petitions were filed with tons of falsified reasons to remove the Murti. Palani was a state level issue by then with several protests in different parts of the state against the petitions.
  3. 1984 – The then CM of Tamil Nadu MGR (not to forget that the Govt was against Hindu culture with its Dravidian philosophy) declared that the Murti will be reinstalled. Widespread protests across the state forced him to hold and then withdraw the decision. A commission was asked to study the issue. The commission report said there is not a single reason to reinstall the Murti.
  4. 1994 – The new government headed by Jayalalitha wanted to replay the episode as it was a matter of pride for the government. Protests gained momentum and government changed its stance.
  5. 2002 – Jayalalitha government started the work of new 200kg Panchaloha Murti and handed the work to famous sculptor Muthaiah Sthapathy and the work was supervised by TN HR&CE department under KK Raja.
  6. 2004 – A new Murti was consecrated in place of old one in Palani. The original Murti was planned to be smuggled abroad for a hefty after ever increasing protests, the new Murti was removed.
  7. 2018 – KK Raja and sculptor Muthaiah Sthapathy was jailed on corruption charges and scam. They had cheated government with over one and a half crore worth of gold in the making of new Murti and also involved in the smuggling plan.

The series of incidents that took place against the culture of Hindus and the attack on the belief system shows that there are many unreported cases of an attack on Hindu culture similar to Sabarimala. It is necessary to learn many lessons from the case of Palani today. The temple and the devotees withstood the attack for over 45 years and never gave up. More than 3 governments, hundreds of petitions, indirect attacks, and corruption could not shake the determination of the devotees who could never let go of their beliefs and culture.

How the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) will vote in 2019 in the presence of a Mahagathbandhan: Some Data Analysis

The Mahagathbandhan (MGB) between one time political rivals (or rather foes) Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) already making news both in print media as well as in social media, the success and failures of such MGBs in the history of Indian politics is mixed. On one hand we have seen how a similar MGB between Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Janata Dal United (JDU) halted Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) Vijay Rath in 2015 assembly polls, on the other hand we have also witnessed how the mahajot between Left Front and Congress turned into mahajawt (big tangle) in Bengal assembly polls of 2016.

Whether this MGB between SP and BSP will be able to dent into BJP’s aspirations to repeat their 2014 performance to reach the political throne at the Centre, only time will tell. With Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) of Ajit Singh also joining the MGB, that has its influence among the Jat population primarily concentrated in the Western parts of Uttar Pradesh; things could become even worse for the ruling BJP. However, with some recent developments like Congress party’s exclusion from the MGB, reservation for the economically backward general class and Shivpal Yadav gaining strength, things might not become as worse as predicted by many armchair psephologists.

Taking the 2014 elections as some benchmark, we can try generating certain situations that could emerge in the 2019 elections for UP. Considering the votes polled to some major parties across all the eighty Lok Sabha seats in 2014 and then making certain assumptions to vote transfer across parties, anti-incumbency against the ruling party, etc. we can arrive at various possible outcomes in 2019 polls for the state of UP. To start the data analysis exercise, we will consider the following set of factors and assumptions:

1. Any event is assumed to have a uniform outcome across the eighty seats of UP
2. Seat allocation between SP, BSP, and RLD is yet to be fixed. Assuming RLD gets to contest Baghpat, Mathura, and Kairana and SP gets those seats where it outperformed BJP in 2014 and vice versa
3. Vote transfer of SP votes to BSP and BSP votes to SP may not be 100% (the 100% vote transfer case has also been considered)
4. Shivpal Yadav could dent into the chances of MGB
5. Anti-incumbency against the BJP government
6. Positive swing from the MGB votes to BJP due to the polarization
7. Some votes polled to Congress or smaller parties like Peace Party of India could transfer to MGB as they provide a sure shot bigger anti-BJP block

With the above assumptions, the following methodology is developed
First, except five seats Baghpat, Mathura, Kairana (for RLD), Amethi and Rae Bareilly (Congress), the seats are allocated to SP or BSP based on their 2014 performance on that particular seat. If complete vote transfer doesn’t happen between BSP and SP then in such a case, if SP is contesting on a particular seat, then the votes polled to SP in 2014 is taken completely and added to a factor of the BSP votes polled in 2014. The votes polled to RLD are added to the tally of MGB as it is. Further, for the votes polled to Congress and its alliance Mahaan Dal and also Peace Party of India in 2014 in the seats except for Amethi and Rae Bareilly, a fraction is even added to MGB. A small portion of the votes polled to the MGB combined in 2014 is also transferred to BJP on account of polarization. The total votes polled to MGB is then discounted by a fraction owing to the Shivpal Yadav factor. Further, we also discount the BJP’s votes by a factor to incorporate the anti-incumbency factor. Here is a summary of results:
Factors                                                                                Scenarios

Negative Swing against BJP                        15.00%     0.00%       10.00%     5.00%       5.00%
Vote-Transfer of SP to BSP                        100.00%   100.00%    90.00%     85.00%     75.00%
Vote-Transfer of BSP to SP                        100.00%   100.00%    90.00%     85.00%    75.00%
Vote-Transfer of RLD to SP/BSP               100.00%   100.00%    100.00%    90.00%    90.00%
Vote-Transfer of Cong to MGB                   50.00%        0.00%     25.00%     25.00%    20.00%
Vote swing against MGB to BJP                    0.00%        0.00%       5.00%     10.00%    10.00%
Shivpal Factor                                                  0.00%        0.00%       5.00%    10.00%    15.00%
Seats for BJP+AD                                              15                 37             40           59            68
Seats for MGB+Cong                                       63+2           41+2         38+2       19+2      10+2

From the above table, it is evident that the worst case scenario for BJP+ Apna Dal is that they can manage to get 15 seats while the rest will go to MGB and Congress. The best case, on the other hand, is a situation similar to 2014 where BJP+AD could get 68 seats while leaving the rest with the MGB and Congress. So in all possibilities, the election of 2019 could be won or lost primarily based on one state where the seats for the ruling coalition could vary with a range of 53 seats. One thing is to be noted; this analysis is purely done on the basis of past data and attributing all the factors with uniform swings across all the constituencies. The moment local factors including local anti-incumbency comes into the picture, things could change drastically.

EV Ramasamy Naicker – A paranoid anti-Brahmin or suppository of British divide and rule ethos

0

Was EV Ramasamy Naicker (EVR) a determined crusader of social justice or a prejudiced, highly biased propagandist against Brahmins, God, Hindus, needs deeper analysis and debate. If we carefully analyse most of the speeches of EVR; we can easily arrive at the conclusion that he was mostly injecting negativism and hatred than positive energy or showing sincere efforts to uplift the downtrodden. On the one side, he was abusive about Brahmins and on the other side he even equally abused and repeatedly asserted to people that they are Sudras, children of Dasi etc.

Further EVR also criticized Tamil language, Tamil literature and why, why even Tiruvalluvar. On the contrary he showed his fathomless love for English and imperial rulers.

From the psycho-dynamic analysis of EVR’s political mission, we have to suspect two possibilities;

  1. EVR wants to execute the agenda of the imperial rulers consciously i.e. divide and rule (divide Hindus from Muslims, then divide Hindus based on castes)
  2. EVR had inadvertently fallen victim to British ploy

Whatever be the truth, EVR did not benefit greatly from Imperial rulers which in real sense did much good for India and the state of Tamil Nadu.

Disgracefully, EVR in fact wanted British rule in India to continue and was against independence of India. Further he declared August 14, 1947 as ‘mourning’ day as according to him, Dravidians would be thereon be ruled by North Indians and Aryans. EVR even wanted Tamil Nadu to be ruled by British from London than by India. Time has come, Indians must impartially analyse what could have been the real motives of EVR to support British and abuse and hate Brahmins and North Indians.

From the pre-historic times Brahmins as a community gave importance to education. In Mahabharat, the teacher of Kauravas and Pandas was a Brahmin– Dronacharya. Brahmins were mostly engaged in performing poojas in temples, penance and divine discourse etc. Due to the inborn flair for education and the community having large number of educated people, the British rulers predominantly engaged Brahmins in their government and as a result, the representation of Brahmins in British Raj was quite high. Such representation has nothing to do with suppressible dominance or caste prejudice of Brahmins but it was a natural process.

But EVR appears to have adopted a different formula to alienate and isolate all educated think-tank group from the society, brand them as different race, call them as Aryans and convince the society that Brahmins are not Tamil people. Further EVR also wanted independent Dravidastan which is separate from North India. Had the sinister desire of EVR happened it would have been a disaster to Tamil Nadu economy.

Fortunately none of the southern states such as Andhara Pradesh (presently divided into two states), Kerala and Karnataka showed any enthusiasm or interest with EVR ideology which really blunt the separatist weapon of EVR. Include and progress was not the philosophy of EVR but he believed in exclude and eliminate and that is why when all the other southern states when refused to join his mission of Dravidastan, he abused all of them and instigated hatred against people of those states through his speeches.

He wants to abolish caste system but was reminding people that they belong to Sudra origin repeatedly and did nothing to call all Dravidian as single community.   As soon as DMK came to power, EVR if wants could have ensured to make Tamil Nadu the first caste free state by declaring all Dravidians belong to single community, no reservation shall be done based on caste but it would be based on economic considerations only. But neither EVR nor DMK ever did the same.  When Brahmins were excluded as Aryans, what was the difficulty for DMK to declare entire Dravidian community as single caste.

It looks like EVR was acting like an instrument in the hands of British rulers, interested only in creating unrest in the society, wants to divide South India from North and if not, at least Tamil Nadu. This was the original design of Bishop Caldwell. The British rulers realized that as long as Brahmins were dominant, Hindu worship system and the ethos of Hinduism will exist in Indian society. To convert people to Christianity, the Brahmin community has to be isolated and excluded and the society must be divided as Dravidian and Aryan so that once the Dravidian are edited genetically to hate Brahmins and Hinduism, it is easy to convert people into Christianity.

It looks like EVR took avatar to execute the ploy and design of Caldwell and British rulers. The way EVR abused Tamil language, culture and literature including Tiruvalluvar has to be seen as the part of such greater design.

Thankfully people of Tamil Nadu are coming back to Bhakti era, become staunch believers of God and rituals, temple worship has increased significantly and this shows the days of Dravidianism (anti-God, anti-Hindu, anti-Brahmin politics) is on retreat and the agenda of development and sab ka vikas of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to blossom like the party symbol Lotus. Hope Tamil Nadu will march towards development guided by the Narendra Modi along with the rule of Amma.

Citizenship Amendment Bill: A humanitarian requirement

0

India was partitioned on basis of religion is a historical fact, nothing can obliterate this basic premise of founding of Pakistan. The aftermath of partition was a bloody affair, an unprecedented human tragedy took place which has no parallels in the human history of modern times. More than 12 million people were displaced and more than a million lost their lives in the aftermath.
Pakistan became an Islamic Republic, thanks to its protagonists who had declared that Muslims and Hindus cannot live together as anything but enemies. Same people became sworn enemies, shared culture was torn apart by further radicalization on both the sides. But India chose the Path of Secularism as her destiny and strive for equality in its politics and life of the Nation.

While India remained steadfast to its promise of equality and justice for all including the minorities, there was a systemic abuse of the principles of equality and justice for the minorities in the other half, Pakistan. Hindus, Sikhs Christians, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis almost every one of the remaining people had to face the brunt of the Muslim majoritarianism, religious, social and cultural persecution remains a consistent and persistent State Policy as it is dictated by the politics of the country.

The conditions did not improve even after the further Partition of Pakistan with East Pakistan becoming Bangladesh. In fact, there has been a steady decline in the population of the Hindus and other persecuted minorities in both Pakistan and Bangladesh. The population of minorities in Pakistan has declined to less than 3% from around 13% at the time of Partition. Hindus form just about 1.6% of the total from a high of 6%. Similarly, the Hindus in Bangladesh have seen a tremendous decrease in numbers, there are leading Bangladeshi public intellectuals saying on record that in few decades we may not even have Hindus in Bangladesh and this is from a high of 23% at the time of Partition. The decrease in numbers has coincided with the growing attacks on minorities in Bangladesh, Hindus in rural areas are being hounded out by a rapidly radicalising Muslim population. The fact that the population of Hindus has come down to less than 9% is the most glaring and damning evidence of sustained persecution. Less said the better it is about Afghanistan, it is a veritable Hell Hole for anyone.

It was such conditions in our neighbourhood which forced the present government to bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Parliament. Even as the Parliament debates over the Morality and Expediency of the this Bill, more than a Thousand Hindu girls are abducted and forcibly married to Muslims in Pakistan every year.

The new amendment attempts to provide safety to the persecuted minorities in the nations which have declared themselves as Islamic Countries where the Rights of Minorities are subservient to the sentiments of the majority, ie., Muslims.

The amendments are Humanitarian in nature but are being called Exclusionary by the Opposition which has upped the ante against the proposed amendments to the Citizenship Act of 1955. The Opposition’s grouse is that these amendments are politically motivated with the next General Elections in mind. It is a fact that even the most Humanitarian of measures have a political hue to it. The 1971 War between Pakistan and India was fought majorly on the humanitarian crisis of East Pakistan but the underlying politics of the War were evident even to a layman.

The present amendments arising out of grave humanitarian issues in the countries mentioned in the Bill must be seen in light of such conditions prevalent which makes it impossible for the minorities to live a life, least of all a Life of Dignity.

The amendments propose to grant citizenship even to the illegal immigrants who fall in the category of Persecuted, who do not have any document showing their country of origin.
It is shocking that the Opposition has opposed this Bill when it has consistently supported the illegal Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh who are a threat to national security. The same set of people also support the entry of Rohangiya Muslims from Myanmar but oppose this Amendment to the Citizenship Act of 1955 which wants to extend the legal benefits of being an Indian citizen to these beleaguered immigrants.

This Bill is historical in more than one sense, it provides the persecuted minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, a place to call its own, gives them life and above all, it is in accordance with the Age Old tradition of India being the place which provides a hearth to the most despondent of the People.

The amendments want to reduce the period required for Long Term Visa from 12 years to 6 years. The proposed amendments clearly recognise the fact that Hindus who are facing an existential threat in Islamic countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have no other place to go except India which is the Spiritual Home to every Hindu in the World. The amendments also propose not to treat the Hindus, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains, Bauddhs and Christians as Illegal Immigrants as in the Citizenship Act of 1955.

However, there is a Disquiet in the North East India in general and Assam in particular where many feel that this Bill wants to circumvent the provisions of the recently held NRC under supervision of the Supreme Court. The fear stems from the innate nature of the political discourse prevalent in Assam where anything which even remotely appears to threaten the delicate nature of Demographics becomes a matter of life and death. The government has clarified that this Bill is not Assam specific or even North East specific but caters for Illegal Immigrants who fall in certain categories enumerated by the Bill for the entire country.

Asom Gana Parishad has withdrawn from the BJP government in Assam on this issue. The Civil Society too has criticised the Bill as a threat to indigenous Assamese people. The threat in view of the clarification by the Central Government must put to end to the endless fear mongering by the Opposition and the so called Civil Society.

The government must assuage the people of North East and Assam that these amendments are truly Humanitarian in nature as well as purpose. The fears of being overwhelmed by Illegal Hindu Bengalis is unfounded as the Demographics do not support this assertion.

The proposed amendments are keeping in line with our ancient principle of Vasudhaive Kutumbakam, the whole World is a Family. Hindus especially are the most targeted people in these countries, they are most vulnerable to hate crimes and forcible conversions.
Hard Facts are often the best evidence and figures of plight of Hindus suffering rampant abuse of women, life, property, religion in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are ample testimony to Persecution.

It must remain the utmost priority of the Government to get this momentous legislation passed in the Parliament to allow a sense of equality and justice for the persecuted minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

Stalin and his amphibious/amphibian politics

0

MK Stalin is although trying hard to fit into the shoes of M Karunanidhi, his father, but most of his political adventures have turns out to be mere jokes and comedies than have earned any respect or serious attention.

During the unveiling of the statue of M Karunanidhi, Stalin had invited both Sonia Gandhi and her son and president of Congress party Rahul Gandhi. In his speech, Stalin unilaterally proposed the name of Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister Candidate of united opposition which was criticized by several media reports. Mamata Banarjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal had organized a mega rally of the opposition parties recently to fight Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress simultaneously. She wants to form an alliance without congress to oppose Narendra Modi led BJP. The only agenda of such alliance is to oust Narendra Modi from power and nothing else.

Interestingly Stalin, the stalwart in Indian politics took part in the rally and spoke but forgot to mention (may be due to his age, although he was trying to woo youths in TN by imitating the dressing style of youths) his ambition to project Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister candidate of such united opposition alliance. Now he justifies that it is the desire of people of Tamil Nadu to have Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister of India but the situation in West Bengal is different so he has taken a different stand.

No one can entertain Indian electorates better than Rahul Gandhi was the popular belief but Stalin has outplayed Rahul Gandhi this time.

The amphibious and amphibian politics of Stalin is well known. When the protest in Neduvasal Hydrocarbon project broke out Stalin took part in the agitation. The present Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, EP Palanisamy exposed the truth about who gave permission to Neduvasal project. It was Mr. Stalin who gave permission for the said project and then he championed agitation against the same project that he sanctioned to misguide people of Tamil Nadu that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the real villain.

When Stalin was encountered with the above facts that he only gave permission to Neduvasal Methane project, he made a very strange argument that he gave permission only to study the possibility of such project and not for extraction of Hydrocarbon.

Why the Government should ever study any project viability, is it for fun or to publish the data in some academic journal? Any project is studied by the government only for the implementation. How Stalin does not have this basic wisdom and how without such basic wisdom, he became Minister? The point of debate is about the hypocrisy, political convenience and fooling the people of Tamil Nadu.

Similarly DMK government was the one allotted land for Sterlite project in Thoothukudi in 2009- 2010 and the DMK government also defended Sterlite in Madras High Court as well. Strangely the president of the same DMK had joined the agitators to caricature PM Modi as the principal culprit of Sterlite project in Thoothukudi.

Stalin is trying to live both in land and water like a frog or is he showing he has such ability, is not clear. But his politics reveals nothing but his political immaturity, lack of clarity, restlessness, nervousness than political smartness and statesmanship. At any cost he wants to grab power.

Karunanidhi had Murasoli Maran to offer him timely advices about central politics, therefore he had never displayed such heightened hypocrisy or contradiction or immaturity like Stalin.

It also reminds another possibility that in political dynasty, the sons can at best only inherit the party and not the leadership quality or political maturity of their father and the best examples are Rahul Gandhi and now Stalin of DMK.

Today people are well connected with internet and social media. Any information can easily be traced in seconds and contradictions and hypocrisy can be verified and established. Stalin who wants to connect with youths and imitating the style of youths by wearing T-shirts, gens etc., how can be ignorant of the basic facts that he should speak with due care and least contradictions?

Another most shocking contradiction of Stalin is about his anti-Brahmin stand. His party had come to power by propagating negativity and hatred also against Brahmins. But today Rahul Gandhi is running around temples after temples, proving and establishing his Brahmin DNA, Hindu origin, Shiva Bhakti, commitment to protect cow etc. The same Rahul Gandhi has been chosen by Stalin for the post of Prime Minister of India.

Will Stalin engage in joint campaign in Tamil Nadu with Rahul Gandhi by hooping from one temple to another proving the Brahmin DNA of Rahul Gandhi and his Hindu origin?

Will Stalin who proposed the name of Raghul Gandhi as PM face of the united opposition party give away all 39 parliament seats to congress to assure 39 MPs in parliament?

Hope people of Tamil Nadu will ask all these questions before they cast their valuable vote in 2019.  Hope they vote for development and sab ka vikas and not the vikas of dynasty.

Kashmir – Anti-rational not Anti-national problem

Kashmir remains and will continue to remain as one of the most volatile regions on the planet. It has been a blackhole for men, resources and even peace itself. Kashmir is designed to be the hill the best of ideas, the noblest of intentions and the bravest of men die. Why? Because it’s the clash of men who know what they fight for but not how to fight pitted against men who do not know what they fight for but know why they fight.

Kashmir was, for a very brief period, a fight of nationality and occupation and hence resolvable. The inept central leadership coupled with the myopic and opportunistic state leadership led the state inexorably towards a religious conflict. The exodus of the Kashmiri pandits (~15% of the native population) made this into a fight of religion and not occupation. If the Kashmiri Pandits had stayed and sided with the Centre, it would have enervated the legitimacy of the claims by other inhabitants of being forcefully occupied. This shift is religion agnostic, it would be just as true if the religions were reversed, with a Muslim majority India and Hindu majority Kashmir. Religions by design make people behave anti-rationally, only the degree differs. Humans will give up their constitutional freedoms but not religious freedoms. The British knew this all too well, hence during the initial period of occupation prohibited any Christian missionaries to India. Even when they were allowed, they had very little state support.

Most Indians and sadly even the leadership wrongly believe that Kashmir is a political and military problem. Political or even military options are for rational players, people who know what they want, how to achieve what they want and know when they have lost. If it were a political issue, we would have the Abdulla’s and the Mufti’s either sympathizing or attending funerals of the militant separatists or have divisive polemics from the Faesal’s. We have learnt to co-exist with the communists and over time have both got them to the verge of extinction and have converted the remaining handful to some version of capitalism. If land and resources were the sore points, article 370 should have been the panacea. If freedom from India is their aim, then there would be no unrest in PoK.

If land and resources were an issue, there would be no conflict between Israel-Palestine or USA-all the militants on the planet. The Israelis have been the past masters in understanding this type of conflict. It is never about the land or the resource. It is a fight for the sake of a fight. It serves no economic benefit to Israel to maintain their enclaves in Gaza or West Bank. If anything, it is a drain on their For the Palestinians partnering with Israel, will bring economic prosperity while bringing peace to Israel. Yet, both players are involved in an irrational strategy – the militants want the destruction of Israel at any cost, and Israel, because it understands the irrationality of its opponent sends out a message of its own irrationality by occupying Palestine.

In Kashmir, Pakistan fights for its relevance, militant fights for his deliverance and the ordinary Kashmiri fights in ignorance. While the militants, like all their brethren suffer from an extreme bout of Kruger-Dunning, the local Kashmiri while having rational aspirations such as job, education, peace and a future, behaves irrationally by pelting stones, attending funeral of militants and overall thumbing his nose at India. The actions of people in Kashmir is anti-rational rather than anti-national as there is no tangible aim or desirable outcome. Unless India can get the ordinary Kashmiri to act in her own  self-interest (read rationally), this is one hole it will never be able to square.

Is Bengal politics on verge of collapse?

0

19th Jan’19 in Kolkata on Bigrade ground, there was a massive political rally under the leadership of TMC chief Mamata Banerjee wherein she was able to bring all Modi haters at one place. Total 22 regional parties’ chief came on board.

These unity looks good on paper but is it possible to bring it on ground? May be not as all regional parties have their own agenda.

In case these unity proved fruitful in coming days, won’t India will become a politically unstable country? There is a proof in the history, whenever third front tried to rule India  the government could not last for more than six months.

VP Singh, Chandrashekhar, Deve Gowda, Gujral and Vajpayee tried to govern India with help of several regional party, but what happened to their Government, everybody knows.

Those parties participated in the rally are sulking due to Modi wave and have clearly lost their ground. How much they will be benefited out of this unity is yet to be seen.

People like Shatrughan Sinha, Yashvant Sinha, Yashvant Singh, Hardik Patel and Jignesh Mevani will contribute towards upcoming election for this coalition.

What message Mamata is giving while supporting Tukde Tukde gang.

Coming to what she will gain from this maha rally. She is a very clever politician. Her politics revolves around Congress and left. But her biggest fear has come in form of BJP, making inroad to Bengal slowly and has occupied 2nd spot.

That’s why she is hell bent on to prove leader of opposition and if all parties agree to declare her PM candidate, she might be able to win 42 seats in Bengal. This will be her big achievement but that is unlikely to happen as major players like Mmayawati, Rahul Gandhi will never accept her as leader of Coalition.

If this happens and she gets departed with congress and left, BJP will be a clear winner in bengal and her vote base will be reduced.

Congress will eat her vote bank and left will surge. She will be decimated to zero. BJP rising popularity will gain more and will be able to form next government in Bengal.

Therefore the situation is very tricky for Didi this time. She is going to lose ground in Bengal and she will have to take responsibility for this situation.

Congress and left is going to gain from this alliance as they are waiting for right opportunity and Mamata is going to be trapped in this political game.
