The Congress stance on sedition reveals what it is wrong with the party

0

The Congress manifesto for 2019 has made proved one thing for sure- The Indian National Congress is no longer centre-left, it’s progression to the far-left is complete with the party heading that way recklessly. Its manifesto reads like a regurgitation of traditional socialist ideas with one particular campaign promise grabbing eyeballs.

Under one of the manifesto’s section titled “Sushasan— Good Governance Through Independent and Accountable”, the Congress party promises to “omit Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code. This has typically been a stance of the Left parties. However, ever since the 2016 JNU saga unfurled, the Congress has abandoned its previous stance on it and moved on to what is politically glamorous position against the sedition law.

Section 124A of the IPC basically defines sedition and provides explanations as to what is and what is not sedition. Disaffection, as mention in the Section , covers disloyalty and feeling of enmity. However, comments that disapprove of the government that do not attempt to excite hatred, contempt or disaffection is not sedition.

The Congress’s pledge to repeal the law is deeply flawed due to two reasons- lack of reasons to repeal Section 124A and its past record on the issue.

The Congress manifesto simply states that the party will “omit” Section 124A that they claim is being misused and is redundant. Both these arguments have flaws. Mere misuse or the possibility of its misuse of a law is not enough grounds to repeal any law. There are plenty of laws that are being misused in India but that doesn’t mean that they must all be repealed. Further, the Congress offers no examples of these “successive laws” that make Section 124A “redundant”.

It must also be noted that the Congress has no substantial reason to call for its repeal. The constitutionality of the sedition law has been upheld by the Supreme Court in the past, most importantly in Kedar Nath Singh vs State of Bihar (Fun fact: Kedar Nath Singh was charged with sedition for criticising the Congress). It is ironical that the Congress that opposed the Triple Talaq Bill which criminalised a practice banned by the SC, would today seek the repeal of a Section in the IPC that has been held constitutional by the very same SC. Moreover, there have been Law Commissions in the past that looked into the matter with the most recent one suggesting a reassessment of the law. None of the Commissions called for an outright abolition.

An entire article can be dedicated to simply illustrate how the Congress, in stark contrast to its current stance, has been actively using the law when they were in power. The UPA government holds an unmatchable record of having filed 8,000 sedition cases. And can anybody forget Aseem Trivedi, the anti-corruption cartoonist who was also charged with sedition in 2012? Oh wait, the Congress can forget about him while they proclaim they stand for free speech. Did P. Chidambaram and Kapil Sibal who today brand themselves as critics of the sedition law do anything at all to repeal the law when they held important portfolios in the government? Nope.

The Congress’ proposal to the sedition law is merely the easier way out of a more complex problem. Instead of seeking ways to prevent misuse of the provision by overenthusiastic law enforcers, suggesting ways to improve the definition of sedition or to clearly lay out guidelines as to when an individual can be charged with sedition, the party has simply called for the repeal of the sedition law. This only shows the lack of talent within the party that prevents it from looking at an issue through the prism of rationality.

If anything, this shows that the Congress has lost all sense of ideology. They don’t have a set of fixed principles that they would fight for. Instead, they have an ever-changing bunch of thoughts that are in demand in the political market and this they pass of as their “ideology”, only for them to be discarded in the next election season.

But this doesn’t really come as a surprise. The party President was after all a vocal supporter of those “expressing their dissent” against the government in JNU and has an ex-AISA for a political adviser. With the recent manifesto being released, it is only becoming clear that the Congress has no sense of responsibility in its actions, only a perverse desire to get back in power.

Bharat- An unbreakable bond

0

When we talk about Bharat we are not referring just piece of land instead we refer to BHARAT MATA which is core or Aatma which bounds us together. For a foreigner it is quite difficult to understand how a country sustain with large number of people with different Culture, Religions and Languages. Well the answer lies in question. Bharatiya culture is that bond which is major binding force which binds us as Nation or Rashtra. However when we start thinking about this bond we feels it is a vast topic and have various aspects which we have to look upon.

From Jammu and Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and From Gujarat to Arunanchal Pradesh if we just traverse we will get shocked of interlinking of Cultures and Languages which forms basis of core or Aatma. If we just classify this core it can be classified into four broader aspects:

1 Culture
2 Religion
3 Language
4 History

1 Culture:
Culture is one of the most important binding force. Culture is mixture of festivals, rituals and nature of society. With large number of festivals like Holi, Diwali, Onam, Ugadi, Durga Puja, Lodhi and many more festivals with each festival having it’s historical significance celebrated with enthusiasm in different parts of the nation proves Bharat is land of festivals. Culture defines how we talk and our nature towards daily issues. Historically Pakistan and Afghanistan were also part of Akhand Bharat but due to Islamic Invasion which altered Culture which is one of major divisive force leading to partition of Akhand Bharat.

2 Religion:
Religion is best connecting force which binds a nation and is integral part of soul of nation. Importance of Religion as binding force can be explained with examples: If you are Ram Bhakt from journey of Bhagwan Ram connects Ayodhya (North) to Ramsetu (South). If you are Shiv Bhakt you are connected from Amarnath (North) to Rameshwaram (South). If you are Devi Bhakt you are connected from Vaishnodevi (North) to Kanyakumari (South). Mumbadevi (West) to Kamakhya Devi (East) religion also shape culture. Any state may be governed by different political party but people are connected by culture and religion. Even in our National Anthem (Jan Gan) we recognize Sindh which is in Pakistan which drives me to conclusion Cutting a piece of land can’t cut Chetna. European Union was ruled by Romans 1000 years ago but now it is divided into several countries where difference between Punjabi guy and Marathi guy is 1000 times than of French guy and British guy but still we are living together because we believe in Sanskritik Rashtrawad.

Meaning of BHARAT:

BHA – Light of Knowledge RAT – Chariot, which means Taking forward Knowledge and gain Spirituality. We believe in Internal Supermacy than External Supermacy. We are Geocultural nation which means we are governed by cultural values that inspires our actions taking all sections of people together.

3 Language:
With more than 19500 mothertongues and 22 major languages it makes Bharat highly diversified. While mainly all languages are called daughter languages of Sanskrit ,only Tamil is called Sister language of Sanskrit due to Common words. Local languages are mixed with sweetness and feelings which binds us as nation. When a person moves from one state to another he learns their language and also propagate cultural exchange which strengthen the bond between people of Bharat. This type of cultural exchange is carried by traders, students and job doing people.

4 History:
With history of more than 10000 years Bharat is only oldest survived civilization. This looks like just a number but it has Golden History of Bharat with stories of brave kings, prosperous and happy people. We have seen large amount of historical philosophies which shaped our culture. If we look in a broader perspective, Mahabharata was a fight between Kauravas and Pandavas but kings from all over Bharat fought as allies for battle between Dharma and Adharma which shows how whole Bharat was connected. Also Brave Kings of different states like Maharana Pratap, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj,Raja Krishna Devaraya, Prithviraj Chauhan are respected and treated as good in whole nation. That shows how people are connected because of shared history.

These four aspects are linked together making Bharat more connected and bounded as a Rashtra. BHARAT MATA KI JAY

Into Shobhaa De’s D-word series defining our leaders and here she is misleading the readers

0

In her recent article, Shobhaa De calls the most likely PM candidate from the grand old party, Shri Rahul Gandhi- a duffer, while in the same article goes on to say that the present PM of India is a demagogue– a leader who uses people’s prejudices for political advantage rather than reasoning. She also uses the word “desperate” in her being, but that’s okay. The obvious theme was- why would she choose a duffer over a demogogue.

A little perspective would help here, when we recall the “duffer” saying – “Ek side se aalu aur ek side se sona” it was an appreciable evaluation from Shobhaa De that, he is who she says he is. The demogogue part is a puzzling one. A political leader who uses people’s prejudice for political gains without rationale-in her story is Modi. Among the two thirds of MPs in parliament, there were only few and later none to vote from the Congress party, while the Triple Talaq bill was discussed. Few months later they came out saying that they would undo such things, if they came to power, mind you this was an issue which the supreme court has held it to be unconstitutional. On the other hand it has been done by his father for the same issue in Shaira Bano case where the majority in the parliament overturned(for electoral gains) supreme court’s observation by bringing in an ordinance.

Now the son is carrying the same baton that his father carried. But this time, it was a women from the Congress party to announce the party’s stance to audience. So much for feminism. Is that rational? not to wonder, it’s another stunt. While the Modi government took that charge to protect the women who are deprived of civilities while deciding for their lives, the “duffer” would do opposite of this, for garnering votes of course, but it’s also the out right usage of people’s prejudice. While the celebration of Indian air force valor after Pulwama is being branded as people’s prejudice against Pakistan which was used by Modi for votes, the time came where the “duffer” has to clarify his motive was to oppose just the govt, not air force. The Cambridge analytica issue to influence elections, silly arguments of EVMs being hacked, though failed, attempted to confuse the voters understanding of electoral process.

All these instances show that the “duffer” has created many such hoax by people’s prejudice, not Modi. Calling Modi’s successful policies as “fake Mann ki baat” and what she wants from her ideal PM is the “Dil ki dhadkan”, well you know what, the educated finally look into policies anyway, not whether the leader has feelings regarding the issue. Modi is unapologetic regarding these issues being sorted out, which are holding the nation back. While the leader of the grand old party is himself a demagogue and a duffer -it doesn’t matter whom she would choose “a duffer or a demagogue” as her leader, on both merits he is one and only Rahul Gandhi.

One thing is for sure, if I were to see the prime minister as a leader who appeals to masses based on “what they think” he campaigned for cleanliness, non-corruptive governance and a new song for the unity. When one expects a “duffer” to be the only option if at all not Modi, is not just an indication of the mafia hold of the “party of freedom movement” but also a disaster to a “largest Democratic” country in the world which has higher growth rate of increase in youth population. Modi’s “Yeh PUBG waala..” comment shows that he has mastered in appealing to the masses and making the public work for him. He could be “dextrous” in what a politician does or a “defiant” making the opposition form a greater coalition to again assert the appeasement politics, but he sure is not a “demagogue”.

Exposing opposition’s lies on India’s unemployment

0

Now a days the major issue of discussion in India is unemployment. Opposition parties are accusing present Modi Government of failing in providing employment opportunities to the youth by citing reports, published by hired private agencies. Recently former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan created ripples by doubting the GDP growth of the country referring to unemployment.
The employment of a person can be in two forms, a job or self-employed. While majority of discussions have been taking place basis jobs data, completely neglecting the phenomenally rising number of self-employed people in India. The data of MUDRA loan scheme launched by Modi Government indicate that in total 17,68,39,656 individuals have been benefited by the scheme.

MUDRA Data
Year                                        Loans Sanctioned                    Amount Disbursed
2015-16                                        34880924                              Rs.132954.73 Crore
2016-17                                        39701047                              Rs.175312.13 Crore
2017-18                                        48130593                              Rs.246437.40 Crore
2018-19* till 22.03.2019            54127092                              Rs.273748.57 Crore

(Source: https://www.mudra.org.in/)

A report published in February 2019 stated that the NPA of MUDRA is Rs.7,277 Crore or around 2% of total number of loans disbursed. This simply means that 98% of people who took MUDRA loan to start small businesses are benefited by scheme and are repaying their dues. Considering this data, around 16,97,66,070 people are helped in employment by MUDRA scheme. There are many other economic indicators supporting the rise of economic betterment and employment climate in India. India’s nominal per capita income from 1486.154 USD in 2014 has grown to 1977.286 USD for the year 2018. This is significant, as for the period 2012-2013 the per capita income growth in India was almost stagnant.

The Employees Provident Fund data in November, 2018 suggested addition of 73.50 lakh new accounts for 15 months period. Large number of accounts were added in the age bracket of 18-25 years, proving ample employment opportunities available for youth in the country.

Also the consumer spending in India has grown significantly from quarterly average of 11075.24 Billion Rupees (2004-2018) to 20671.40 Billion Rupees in the fourth quarter of 2018. This rise in consumer spending with average 30% savings rate support economic betterment, not possible without employment.

The Foreign Institutional Investors have pumped in Rs.2,00,607 Crore in Indian equity markets and Rs. 2,67,043 Crores in Indian Debt Market for the period January 2014-March 2019.  Employment being a major economic indicator, the FIIs managing assets worth trillions of dollars would have never invested so heavily in Indian economy if unemployment was on rise.

All the economic data discussed in the article sum up the fact that, there are no employment crises in India and the economy is in robust state. The whole rising unemployment picture drown by politically biased economists is simply a bluff to benefit opposition parties in 2019 general elections. It is our duty as responsible citizens to evaluate available information critically and decide the fate of the nation.

Beware of Congress’s metamorphosis

0

The Congress- the Left- the Liberal journalists’ lethal mix is at it (making combined effort) again. Here, the Left did not mean the CPM or CPI, directly joining hands and fighting with the Congress. It’s their cadres that embraced the Congress at Rahul Gandhi’s invitation and insistence. There is a horde of communist activists that are willing to fight/work under the Congress banner. This fact is evident from the recent article in the Print (online portal) written by Neelam Pandey (dt: 31st March 2019) wherein she writes Rahul Gandhi’s new adviser (though not fully anointed) Sandeep Singh is a former JNU student who waved black flags at Manmohan Singh in November 2005 when he visited JNU. Know why he and his team waved black flags? For Manmohan Singh government’s “anti-people policies”.

After Singh joining the Congress party, he apologized for the ‘black flags’ demonstration, writes Neelam Pandey. Where is the courage of conviction in Sandeep Singh? Singh was no small a fry. He was the elected president of the JNU Students Union in 2007. He was associated with the far-Left Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist). Now, it seems, he distanced himself from Left Politics with some disillusionment at personal level and has taken his refuge under the Congress. In a short time, he has become the Congress party president Rahul Gandhi and the general secretary Priyanka Vadra’s adviser. And he is likely to become very soon the Congress party’s strategist. He is also (according to a quote in the article) wooing the Left wing students to join the Congress and to raise themselves to the higher posts in the Congress party! All this means that the Congress now is a de facto Communist party (or so in the making). There are many hundreds of Communist ideology students from All India Students Association (AISA) that have joined as foot soldiers to the Congress.

It’s also revealed in the article that the Congress insiders claim Singh is the brain behind the anti-corporate, pro-poor tilt in Rahul and Priyanka’s speeches and social media posts. Prime Minister Modi effectively countered the narrative of the Congress’s pro-poor program in his speech (on 31st March) by stating that from the first prime minister to the UPA II, the Congress kept up poverty, in stead of its eradication to its ( the Congress’s) benefit to raise in each election.

Rahul Gandhi on one side hopping to temples and on other side filling the party with CPM-L’s cadres whose ideology is alien to this country. The cadres viscerally hate Hinduism and Hindu practices. The Indian communists are not agnostics like the ones elsewhere in other countries. They love minority religions in India and wouldn’t mind the whole of India getting converted into those religions. By inducting the Communists, Rahul Gandhi is trying bring the worn-out ideology (in the whole world) into fore and also people that are inimical to Hindu interest.

Coming to Liberal journalists, they assume the Congress party alone stands for their kind of people. They conveniently forget that the Congress muzzled them while in power. They in their own wisdom believe that when it comes bread and butter issues: jobs, growth and agricultural stress, the BJP is a failure and the Congress has every right to raise those questions to win over voters. As a matter of fact, those issues are a legacy of the Congress-led UPA II. The Congress cannot claim a moral high ground. These Lib journalists also have a problem when Modi raises national security matters.

Shekhar Gupta in his recent article while giving credit to Modi government to boast that in its five years, there has not been a big terror attack outside of Kashmir i.e. in the mainland India, as Pakistani groups have not hit anywhere else, writes, that Modi accuses his opposition of having been soft on terror. What prime minister Modi says regarding security, connects with most people in India. Only Lib journalists are grievant of the fact.

For Shekhar Gupta the Congress’s NYAY- providing basic income to poor has an interesting ring and a great political idea. To him that great idea is getting eclipsed with nationalism and national security of the BJP. As a matter of fact, the BJP planned and implemented many pro poor programs viz. Mudra loans, Ùjjwala LPG connections, agricultural support, direct loan transfers, power connections and so on. All in all, Parties in power know the ground realities. Poverty alleviation is needed and is an on going process in India. No party or individual is against the poor. Each is searching for a way out. India eradicated poverty much better now than earlier with many monetary schemes and welfare measures in place. Nation’s security takes top priority compared to all the on-going programs within the nation. We as people, we as Indians exist, if our nation exists intact. So it’s an existential problem. Hence nation’s security is paramount. In this regard the BJP is better positioned than the Congress.

Minimum income guarantee: Who for?

0

A few days back Rahul Gandhi unleashed the Brahmastra from his quiver. MIG for 20% of the poorest of the country. They shall get a minimum income of ₹ 12000 pm, supported by the government. Sounds like the panacea that Indian poor have been waiting for for ages.

Now, who are the Indian poor. By setting an income of ₹ 144000 PA (or ~ $ 2000) as the base, it will put around 67% of Indians in this bracket. India’s per Capita PPP income being $ 5350 while nominal being ~ $1670 (2018). So in effect it is not 25 Cr Indians but closer to 100 Cr who should be getting this.

Of these, 20% or 20 Cr (as per INC 25 Cr) will get this support. Great. I will not talk of the detrimental effect on the economy, which is quite understood. My query is how are these being determined? Is there sufficient income data or proof that can effectively weed out ineligibles? Afraid not. A large section of people still get paid in cash. Drivers, house-hold workers, contract labour in industry and myriad others. Now, imagine these people, who are actually earning “X” amount declare no income, how will it be validated? Unlikely. So they shall start to get the ₹12000 (as 0 income people).

This will incentivize others as well to follow the same route. More people will transact in cash and will go below the radar. It will create a massive business for officials and touts who will help people with the right documents for a price. Whatever efforts have been taken to reduce the black economy, will be gone. Only this time this will be generated by the poor, not the rich. This will a new social revolution, first time ever in the world.

What is the criteria of a household? An adult son/daughter living separately is one household or multiple? Again this will incentivize people to separate, if only on the documents, for a price. So a household with 2 adult children can manage 36,000 per month with some help.

Economist and one of the proponents of the scheme, Abhijit Banerjee mentioned that Cong has been discussing it since 2009. Is that why it was opposed to the triple talaq? No one gets financially hurt, as the women too get a support payment.

What I am trying to convey is how easy it is to game the system by the rest of the 80 Cr who are ineligible to deny the 20% for whom this is targeted. Coupled with Congress’s track record of gross mismanagement, we might see a completely different program than the one envisaged at this stage.

That it will create a thoroughly dishonest and corrupt society is indisputable. It has the potential to create a generation of Indians who have no faith in themselves. Who will believe that it is better to remain unemployed without being deprived. Is that how the Congress will solve the omnipresent question: “Where are the jobs?”. The answer is, “You don’t need one.”

Rise of world leaders Rahul ji and Kanahiya ji. Yeah.. Chaiwala. No Way..

0

My true inspiration for my existence is Rahul Gandhi and Kanhiya kumar. And a true ideology from which I get inspired is Communist ideology. I admire Communist party of India and I am absolutely against BJP and RSS. BJP/RSS people and its supporters are terrorists oops!! sorry they are fascists and Narendra Modi is one such face. I swear and will prove that I hold on to these commitments made very true to my heart and you can find it out eventually by the time you finish reading this article. I promise like our Rahul Gandhi and his social media brigade that I don’t spread any hatred through this. Anyway, who knew all those who voted a party to power with full majority in 2014 would overnight turn out to be fascists to spread hatred among the people.

As our respected outspoken former prime minister and great economist this world has ever seen stated publicly in a conference that this country resources belong to Muslims. I completely agree with him and I believe he is very true to his heart while saying this. No!! No!! please don’t call the violence happened after this statement as resistance. It was actually a hatred being spread across the country by these fascist forces. The BJP fascist and interim finance minister in 2019 budget very wrongly stated that the national resources belong to poor of this country. And I admire the great Nehru of his innovative thinking to create a votebank in the name of caste among the people who are said to be the real historical and cultural face of this country. This really did not divide people at all but just reminded people of their dire living conditions.

Our congress party and its affiliates like CPM in every way boasts of continuing hoisting the 1906 muslim league flags which was very instrumental and supported a rationale of two nation theory eventually breaking off with the main land as a separate islamic state is for national and social harmony among the citizens. No… I don’t believe that it is for hatred that these fascist forces call it so as I strongly believe that we owe our national resources to only muslims of this country. And I strongly believe that only terrorists who hoist pakistani flags and say pakistan zindabad are true anti national and not these lovely leaders and national parties who hold significant voter base. Now a days women empowerment is very hot topic right. Just few days back congress party inducted a young and dynamic women who had once displayed her half nude body with pakistan flags painted and gave open statement that if pakistan wins the cricket worldcup she would strip nude. I literally got melted by seeing her nationalist sentiments. A party in JK called as NC openly called for those lovely people who here and there blast bombs to support them in current loksabha elections and the party dont have any tieups apart from this. They are so true to their nationalist sentiments. And my true inspiration Kanahiya kumar did not participate in a rally in JNU where ‘Bharat tere tukde honge inshallah inshallah’, ‘Afzal hum sharminda hai. Tera katil zinda hai.’ slogans were shouted. Infact country’s president who gave order on the crusador of peace Afzal guru death sentence was anti-national. BJP’s Bangalore south fascist candidate Tejasvi Surya was absolutely wrong when he said “If you are with Modi, you are national and if you are anti-Modi, you are anti-national”.

It is such an irony that Modi is dead against the country’s own minority citizens that there is no bill or amendment passed in our parliament in last 5 years that goes against our religious minority people. Such a shame is carries so much hatred against his own countrymen. Sorry being patriarchal here read it as countrymen and countrywomen here. Oh wait. Now I can recall that he has introduced one bill that goes against our religious minorities. He and his government introduced triple talaq bill. Oh my god Islam is in danger. Its in such a danger that it prevented our muslim sisters from being divorced on phones, through emails and dragged those lovely husbands to courts for partial trials. And yes he wasted money on some schemes which are against women like Maternity benefits of handing out 6000 rupees to poor women, Nayi Roshni for poor J&K women.

But lets talk about one responsible fascist who is a culprit for everything happening in this country of 1.3 billion people. Modi bhai. As the name itself suggests he is one goonda kind of. Look at what he did. When he came to power in 2014 cancelled licenses of 20000 NGO’s who were carrying out social services and who received completely accounted and transparent foreign funding. No! these NGO’s did not acquire any arms for naxals. They were never involved in blind religious conversions. Congress and their affiliates like the party I get inspired by did not support and helped funding any of these NGO’s.

In fact, in other words Modi made people working for these 20000 NGO’s jobless. Yes it accounted for joblessness India is presumed to be facing and obviously modi has created this joblessness. And these people who got unemployed overnight did not do any harm to society, they did not create any nuisance through riots. There was no violence at all be it tamil nadu, maharashtra or be it west bengal, kerala. Instead these jobless people were a true inspiration for “No Hate campaign”. Modi just did not stop here. He went on to cancel a NGO license which was funded by a the party that I get inspired from where 34 girls were in very very safe hands. Those 34 girls were not raped at all its all false accusations.

And there is nothing called as tax terrorism. Its a sole responsibility of earning middle class to run the country by paying taxes on the income they earn. Modi is simply ruining the country and its economy by not taxing these middle class appropriately. He unnecessarily increased income tax exemption from 2 lakh to 5.5 lakhs (including 50K straight exception for medical and commuting). This hardworking middle class is now getting more money for their enjoyment which contribute to more and more alcohol consumption, expenditure which contribute to concretization of the world and air pollution. No they dont use that extra money for anything else but to screw the world. It just does not stop here. He went on spoiling this middle class and poor class people by his PMAY with CLSS scheme by distributing 2.3 to 2.67 lakhs to those who are further concretizing the world. He further burdened these middle class patients ailing with heart diseases and knee problem by introducing world’s cheapest cap on knee replacement medical equipment and stents.

Modi government did electrify all the 18000 left out villages but what is the use when there are lot of villages and towns in India which do not get 24/7 electricity? and the same Modi who does not even care for this is trying to push for complete electric fleet on indian roads in another 10-12 years. This guy who is our PM-the supreme leader is without any vision. The same visionless guy launched Ayushman Bharat that would help divert government funds to insurance companies and corporates. This was actually supposed to benefit medical treatment of fifty crore poor which potentially increase overall well being of the citizens. But this supreme leader resorted to corruption. Hope you remember the recent rafale loot. A government to government deal will have all documents of the deal with the government so that any government comes to power can access these documents but look at the guts of this supreme leader. He has openly looted the country in the name of rafale.

There are actually thousand things to write against this fascist supreme leader. His government helped in building around 10 crore toilets for poor in 5 long years where as in just 60 years around 6 crore toilets were built. Total expenditure for this is around 50000 crores. Who would waste so much money on human waste to root out 100% open defecation. Shit is shit which need to be released from the body. Be it anywhere. Forgot to mention about our revered river Ganga. Useless creatures like river dolphins are thriving very recently. What a waste of 10000 crore money on cleaning Ganga. But lets not forget that 50000 crore rupees was very effectively used before and kept “No Hate” people happy. Beti bacho beti padhao which is supposed to be awareness program for an attempt to bring down the female sex ratio. But this guy has turned it out to be an election campaigning tool with around 600 crore rupees allocation where in a whopping 350 crores spent just to paste BJP and Modi photos. That apart, just 1.5 crore sukanya samriddhi accounts are opened in last 3 years.

I always get this question. What is the use of getting the citizens open their bank accounts when transactions can happen in cash. Cash transactions are easy with zero corruption. By opening 21 crore accounts Modi simply achieved higher degree of corruption by direct cash transfers of subsidies to people accounts. Obviously he has used it as a election campaign tool to distribute accounted money from government balance sheets. He is just looting tax payers money with this. Along with this Demonetization is his biggest blunder. 130 crore people of this country supported him for 2 months by standing in queues with unverified 100 deaths while standing in queue and at the end all he could achieve is identifying 3 lakh hawala companies only.

What did he achieve by identifying these 3 lakh hawala companies? Was it in the interest of the nation? No not at all. It just blocked some small ticket transactions which run like lakh crores from being transferred outside for terror activities, creating illegal wealth etc. Nothing else. This guy is annihilating the growth prospects of future leaders by eliminating the middlemen. This is sheer misuse of power. How can someone bring in digital growth and defeat the proven age old hawala system.

One big thing which Modi has campaigned for his election mileage is mudra yojana. Mudra yojana is such a worst scheme that one of my close friend who was holding a prestigious white collar job in Maruti dealer showroom technical team has borrowed mudra loans and ventured his own multi brand service centre and has given jobs to 4 people. Sorry for marketing here but do visit his service centre ‘Patil multi brand service centre’ near hosur in Hubli. But where are white collar jobs who take home in 6 digits monthly? These just empower people to become their own bosses but wont give high earning white collar jobs. One guy in america once sold buns with fried snack which later on went to become McDonald. I strongly believe that poor pakoda makers cannot replicate this because they are supported by this fascist mama through mudra yojana. But most importantly Modi has diverted these funds allocated for mudra yojana to fund his brother Nirav modi, his close aid Anil ambani and uncle mallya and I believe that nothing can beat this truth.

GST and IBC are such a useless one nation one tax constitutional amendment tax bill and india bankruptcy code bill which modi alone passed it in the parliament. Democracy suddenly came under threat which is huge blow to the system. All international appreciation were paid propaganda. Only our true inspiration Rahul Gandhi and Kanahiya kumar who hails from a party which granted only verified controlled loans is right about GST and IBC. Its false accusation that they amounted to bad loans. IBC is simply helping Modi’s brothers Nirav modi, Lalit modi and his friends Anil Ambani and Vijay mallya types that assets razed from them are attached for bank recovery and being passed on to these nation’s fugitives.

As an avid political observer my last appeal is please send this fascist back to where he came from. Chaiwala. I feel disgusted about him that he did not make pakodas instead sold chai. Please bring in a very inspiring people born with golden spoon in their mouth to rule our country. Obviously Nehru is instrumental in our very existence because he gave away UNSC membership and proved himself a true statesman. They are true nationalists and work for the progress of our country such that we find 25 crore people living in extreme poverty even after 70 years of Independence. The figures that speak about half of the people were pulled out of extreme poverty in last 5 long years under Modi rule is absolutely false. This is extremism. What right does this guy have to spoil the nation building startegy for bringing 50% i.e. 25 crore people above poverty line?..

Last but not least #VoteKar do not forget to vote. Please mark the dates for your constituency and run to your respective polling booths and vote because the same dictator has already touched this basic right with his #VoteKar campaign. So please go and show the power of being a nationalist and erase the word dictatorship from mera Bharat.

Peace professor wants civil war

Now that the heat of the election campaign is on, it seems to be becoming clear that Modi is coming back. Despite the huge announcement of NYAY, Rahul Gandhi’s bid for the top post doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. The ‘liberals’ and ‘progressives’ seem to have realized this.  Even before the campaign has really taken off, they not only are looking at defeat, they are showing signs of a meltdown.

One such instance of liberal meltdown has happened already. Sadly, it has gone to an extreme level, where one of the ‘liberals’ has even called for a civil war to overthrow the Modi govt that is likely to come to power!

The gentleman in question is Prof. Ashok Swain who works at the Uppsala University in Sweden. The gentleman is a well-known critic who regularly abuses not just Modi, but also Hindus. His hatred for Modi and his desperation to see the back of Modi seems to have crossed all limits. He acknowledges that the 2019 elections would probably be won by Modi and that he would be back as PM. He goes on to say that the only way to remove Modi is through a ‘popular democratic revolution‘. He predicts or hopes for a ‘violent civil war’ to get rid of Modi.

If you were wondering who this bloodcurdling civil war fan is, then you will be amused to know he is a peace professor. Yes, can you believe it? He is a Professor of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University in Sweden.

Looks like his idea of conflict research is to first provoke a conflict and then hope for peace. One shudders to think how his students would learn the idea of peace from him.

So many people, including the ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang have gotten away with blatant shows of anti-nationalism. Here is a man who effectively calls for a war against a democratically elected government. He too probably will get away with it. And he will continue to teach his version of ‘peace’ to students. What an irony!

The bigger message though is that even the most hardcore of Modi haters and Rahul fans seem to have given uip the fight even before it has started. As the campaign progresses, we are likely to see more such meltdowns. One can only hope that no one else preaches war and revolution when the largest democratic exercise in the world is in progress.

Gift of Congress party to communist and the politics my victory first and not of Congress

0

The decision of Rahul Gandhi, the dynastic leader of congress party to contest also from Wayanad parliamentary constituency in Kerala has lots to celebrate for BJP than for congress party. Obviously the left has to worry a lot as its last fortress- Kerala too is going to crumble thanks to congress party which the left the party had supported and resurrected long ago.

The general secretary of CPIM, Sitaram Yechury, more than the congress party wants to have an understanding with congress party to win 2019 election. But the hard core left leaders opposed such proposal as they saw the writing on the wall that by supporting congress party, the left would disappear and on the other hand congress would gain relevance.

All the opposition parties kept ‘anti-Modi’ plank to join with each other but at the same time also want congress party to play second fiddle to their success.

Indians have seen the ‘anti-Modi’ rhetoric is meant more for power and otherwise none of the regional parties have any vision or programme or agenda for the nation. They all want power to loot, divide the country on caste and religious line and destabilize the mission of India’s development and sab ka vikas initiated by PM Modi.

BJP and Narendra Modi are focusing on development agenda and mission sab ka vikas. The divisive and minority appeasement politics of congress party has really made the party irrelevant nationally but still it exists in some Southern states thanks to the regional parties. Regional parties need congress, only then they can have a symbiotic relationship to loot the nation. UPA 1 and 2 are the best examples.

The latest realization in Amethi constituency has compelled the congress party to re-think as Amethi doesn’t look safe for the dynast anymore. As a result congress party has identified Wayanad parliamentary constituency for the dynast.

In fact, congress party had made the dynast to run away from Amethi to down south which has proved how weak and precarious is congress party under the dynast. The cock and bull story congress may say to justify the dynast contesting from Wayanad, but the bitter truth is the fear of defeat has not just shaken the congress party but its dynast also.

The fear of defeat of the dynast and congress party also has made left to suffer further defeat in Kerala. The left party is fighting its last battle, have seen clearly the fall of Berlin wall and is wary of Birnam Wood coming to Dunsinane. The brutal misuse of power towards Hindu sentiments during Sabarimala agitation by CPM has really pushed the left party away from people. Today the left party is struggling to have its last breath in Kerala but the congress party with the announcement of the dynast contesting from Wayanad has pulled the ventilator support from the ailing left party.

The communist party had never expected the congress party to be so cruel and would pull the oxygen pipe from the ailing left in the state of Kerala. By engaging in anti-Modi rhetoric, most of the regional parties would have believed that they can enjoy unconditional support from congress party. But congress party appears to have realized the bitter truth that if regional parties are allowed to grow, congress party would shrink further and may even disappear from terra firma.

With this new enlightenment, congress and other smaller parties have aligned with DMK. In future it would not be DMK government but would be a coalition government where congress party, MDMK, Viduthalai Chiruthai are also going to partners by having their MLA’s as ministers.

Way back in 1999, Sonia Gandhi contested also from Bellary in Karnataka against Sushma Swaraj besides her home constituency Amethi. The entry of Sonia Gandhi in Bellary constituency really polarized the electorates and thereby the pro-Indian, patriotic people went with BJP thus paving the great revival of BJP in Karnataka.

Today the Kerala electorates are centrally divided between left and congress.  But BJP is emerging from grass root level in Kerala. Perhaps congress party would have realized that regional parties are not good for the nation and hence congress party must swiftly want to eliminate all regionals parties and parties that are irrelevant to India like the left.

The fear of defeat in Amethi as well as the clear intention to eliminate all regional parties for the national interest including the irrelevant left must have made the dynast to contest also from Wayanad.

Kerala electorates will be divided into dynastic political culture versus politics of development, national security, sab ka vikas and patriotism. In this battle the left party will be the first political force in India to receive farewell and bon voyage from Indian politics.

Definitely congress party has gifted the left by making the dynast to contest from Wayanad. Left party took congress party for granted but it appears congress party has decided to tactfully eliminate all regional parties which is a good sign. In near future, India will be facing bi-polar contest and not the contest of several tukede tukede gangs.

Certainly congress party has exposed its fear and uncertainty of its dynast winning from Amethi and also has exposed its intentions to eliminate all regional parties as they pose instability and hamper the development India as a country.

The fear, confusion, uncertainty and dynastic politics dominated congress party cannot offer development, national security and sab ka vikas. India to prosper and develop, India to remain a very safe and secured country from the terrorists and perpetuators and achieve sab ka vikas, Narendra Modi must be re-elected again as our Prime Minister. Hope people of India will vote Narendra Modi to ensure the agenda of development to continue and not the politics of dynasty, nepotism and corruption.

The State and the acts of Cultural Appropriation

0

Is cultural appropriation a proper way of attaining harmony? This is somewhat a weird question to ask, given the widespread acceptance of cultural appropriation in societies. To those eyes that are trained in social sciences ‘cultural appropriation’ is pretty self-explanatory. However, to others particular, those who were saved from the excruciating pleasure of living in academia and university environment, these set of words might seem incomprehensive and to some extent irrelevant. Therefore, to define this complex term becomes an inevitability. So, what is cultural appropriation? The Cambridge dictionary describes it as “the act of taking or using things from a culture that is not your own, especially without showing that you understand or respect this culture.” What exactly does that mean then?

In laymen terms, it involves mimicking or copying acts, practices and language/literature of one culture into the other one without comprehending the culture correctly. The recent events in New Zealand particularly those that occurred just after the Christchurch attack fits the description of cultural appropriation. The whole acts of women covering their heads with headscarves, or the recitation of Qur’an verses in Parliament and live television is something one can argue is cultural appropriation. This article will examine various questions including the one posed at the beginning – Is cultural appropriation a proper way of attaining harmony? Should the government need to focus itself in showing solidarity or concentrate on understanding and battling the cause of such an attack? The case of New Zealand is undoubtedly a good case to examine the posed questions.

What happened?

On the afternoon of 15th March this year, there were two consecutive terrorist attacks at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. The attacks began at the Al Noor Mosque in the suburb of Riccarton at 1:40 pm, and later at the Linwood Islamic Centre around 1:55 pm. The attacks killed 50 people and injured 50 others. The perpetrator of this attack was a 28-year-old Australian man, who has been linked to various right-wing extremism globally. The ferocity of this attack was compounded by multiple elements inter alia the first ever attack of such magnitude took place in mainland New Zealand, the attacker live-streamed the attack on Facebook, another violent reprisal by western against the rise of immigration.

The aftermath

The attacks and mayhem that ensued were followed by actions on three chief responses. One was the capturing of the perpetrator. Second, the dissemination of attacker by the media and finally the series of government responses in New Zealand. The government of Jacinda Ardern was praised for its prompt responses. Just under a week government banned all the military style semi-automatic (MSSA) weapons and assault rifles with which the attack was carried out. All the measures were anticipated (not within such sort time-frame) but the government responses were interesting particularly the actions that exhibited solidarity with the Muslim community.

The government’s fix

The notion of the welfare state has inevitably but incrementally added to state’s duties and responsibilities. The state and sovereign are anticipated to be more compassionate, understanding and emphatic towards citizens. The problem arises when this metastasizes into merely being compassionate and snubbing its primary responsibility of protecting its citizens. Therefore, the state when begin to act as “woke” person of the 21st century it should be questioned to whether these acts of conscious solidarity are complementary to state functions or center of its duties? The cultural appropriation the term so emphatically mentioned in the first paragraph is relevant here.

The state should not engage overtly in acts of cultural appropriation because like every act of individual has individual repercussions; the acts of the state are more complicated and far-reaching. This blurring of lines between individual and the state threatens the distinction between the two and shifts the responsibilities and accountabilities. For the sake of argument let’s take a hypothetical example – some attack takes place in NZ in which the attacker registers the acts of Jacinda’s government (let’s say recitation of Qur’an in Parliament) as principal cause of his motivation to carry out such terror attack. The question emerges – who will be accountable for such an attack? This whole scenario may seem grim but rise in nationalism and ethno-nationalistic sentiments around the globe, it do not appears implausible.

Now with that idea in mind one should look at terrorism. Any act of terrorism is troubling but what is so particular about terrorism that is distinguishable from other crimes. The other crimes ranging from white collar crimes to outright heinous act of murder all involve some degree of self-interest and element of personal in them. Terrorism, on the contrary, does not breed out of individual revulsions but from a much wider belief in a particular understanding of society and world. There have been immense developments in terrorist’s psychology. However, the states seem oblivious to use such developments in employing counter-measures. This hesitation is born out of a temporary and somewhat theatrical nature of terrorism. The government after an attack is under immense pressure to “do something about it.” In that inadvertent pressure what happens do not necessarily contribute to combat terrorism.

Now to circle back to where we started is cultural appropriation a proper way of attaining harmony? The answer is different for an individual and the state. For an individual it is apt to conform to various acts and practices to show solidarity and thereby achieving harmony in society; however, for a state to do the same is problematic. The state is responsible for many communities and people of various identities. Its actions may have numerous unintended consequences. What should a state do then? It should attempt to find what caused the problem in first place and follow it by discernible actions on the ground. The ideology or causes of terrorism are often complex and masqueraded by personal and organizational objectives. Nevertheless, the state should scrutinize the reasons for such ideologies.

In the case of New Zealand state have a good place to start – the manifesto that the attackers left. However, in the race of championing cultural appropriation states alike individuals should not be engaged in acts of impulse which in long-term do not serve the interests of the state. The prompt response by Wellington in terms of gun control is undoubtedly an intrepid and laudable move. The government should, however, be vigilant against acts of cultural appropriation.

The question however, remains do states have the temerity to take upon the task of protecting its citizens by cautiously examining the problem or do states want to engage in acts of cultural appropriation?
