Cannibals and vultures

‘India will be free when the women feel safe to walk in the streets of India in the midnight’–MK Gandhi.

The Second October is celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. A dhoti clad man with strong will power and grit, freed India from the clutches of the English. From the days of Gandhiji to today nothing has changed in regards to the violence being perpetrated against women. He wished women to be free and safe even in the Midnight but the conditions of today portray a different picture altogether. We are in such a phase where women aren’t safe in day light, in their own houses but we are celebrating Gandhi Jayanthi every year mocking the principles on which Gandhiji led India to freedom.

Recent outrage over the rape happened in Hathras in UP again highlights the sick mentality of the perpetrators of the crime. Rape should be condemned with a unified voice and the culprits to be punished with highest possible in books of Law. And I am sure this will happen in course of time. What I am more worried is at the political cannibalism and journalistic vultures. The victim didn’t have dignity in her death nor in Midnight burning of the body nor no dignity to the family which is being hounded by press, politicians to toe their line. Irony is the family is not even allowed to mourn peacefully.  They are being hurt, being used and shamed.

With their political careers dwindling, some politicians are being advised, the Hathras incident as God given opportunity for them by some insane journalists. The same goes true to some channels whose TRP ratings touched lower than their competitors are out to prove a point and start peddling fake news. They are out to use this opportunity to the fullest. From a politician rolling like monkey on the ground to Journo trying to put words into the victim kin’s mouth they are hounding the village. Many audio and video clips being spread on social media only added to the chaos. These politicians or journo don’t give a damn for the victim or her family except for their own selfish interests.

The government of state is being misled by the so called senior bureaucrats. If you look at the tenure of Govt in the state, it is always in hurry to deliver justice even sometimes by allowing bad vehicle drivers to drive the criminals, who turn their vehicles turtle by their sheer incapability. I feel the govt was in hurry once again. Otherwise what sane explanation can be given for the police burning the body in the glare of cameras? Was the administration in a hurry to scuttle the focus on the case by doing the final rites? Were the accused be driven around in a vehicle with an experienced driver who specializes in doing stunts, as soon as possible to deliver the justice?

The selective outrage over the rape cases also defeats the very purpose of standing against the crime. We are being fed with news in a wrong way. “A dalit woman gangraped by the upper  caste men”. What are the channels implying. The same channel report in a different way when the alleged perpetrator is from other peaceful religion. In the name of democracy and free journalism we are being exposed to the most vicious propaganda. History will only prove the point that being politically correct is not good all the times.

Protests: The new normal of opposition

In 2014, The world for many had changed over a series of events that took place, overthrowing the dynastic overconfident regime, and replacing it with a allegedly tainted Prime minister, allegedly a heavily polarised and communal party with a senior leadership pivoting their whole existence only on one concept of a religion. The mere turn of such events were enough to rattle the “Dynasty” and show the world that India is changing. It was all new and every action that was taken subsequently was making history or breaking some or the other norm.

From Surgical Strikes becoming the new medal to the Indian Army to abrogation of the “Ineradicable” Article 370, everyday every month was becoming a news media headline. But both the terms of the current BJP govt have not been all hunky-dory, it has been smeared with claims of extreme polarisation, fascism, communalism, minority oppression, hyper-nationalism, etc. Each day, we have seen highlights of increased crime rate, decreasing economy, ever growing fear in minorities, lynchings, hate speeches and crimes, rising unemployments, undelivered promises and anything that can going wrong, is going wrong. What is the ground reality?

So what are the issues of the Modi Govt 1.0 and 2.0(In no particular order and not exhaustive list):

  • Demonetisation
  • Rafale Deal
  • Farmer Suicides and Farmer Bills
  • CAA and NRC
  • Kashmir/370
  • China at LAC
  • Changes in GST
  • Dropping Economy
  • Rising Unemployment
  • Lockdown During Pandemic
  • Migrant Issues
  • Rohit Vemula Suicide
  • Rape cases: Hyderabad Rape case, Unnao Rape case, Hathras Rape case
  • Arrey Deforestation drive

In all the issues that have been highlighted we have seen some things in common. No matter how big or small the issue is, irrelevant of whether something is being done about it or not, irrelevant if the policy implemented has some wait time to reflect on the consequences, the most common reaction that has been seen from the opposition is not just to oppose, but to “Protest”

Protest has become the new way to oppose. And not just a simple protest or a political protest, but a full scale apparently a people’s protest where the public, the vote bank seems to be the one to respond, to oppose whatever the institution is trying to allegedly impose on the public. The narrative is set in such a way that the govt is imposing and dictating their terms. But how this came to life.

Pre-2014, the INC govt was smeared with corruption cases rising to the magnitude of a small countries GDP. The money that was embezzled was not in terms of Crores, but in terms of Lakhs of Crores. That’s multiples of Rs 100,000 Crore at base minimum. Pakistan’s GDP currently is at INR 2,31,11 Cr. That means the scams in our country at that time had exceeded Pakistan’s current GDP. But the govt was mostly unfazed by this…In fact, the public was still in favor of Congress, had 2-3 major incidents not happened.

  • Nirbhaya Case and Protest
  • Anna’s Lok Tantra, India Against Corruption Protest.

Nirbhaya Case was a media storm for the right reasons, but in the wrong direction, the media highlighted it, the public protested, but did it resolve anything..?? A few small amendments and then nothing, no proper outcome. The laws weren’t made more stringent.

And the famous Anna Hazare Movement led to the birth of the infamous Aam Aadmi Party, which by no means seem to be aam any more, but its members seem to be a part of some of the most serious charges in Delhi Riots case.

I am not going to comment on the organic or inorganic nature of the protest in 2014. But the key factor turns out that the public created unrest and was directly involved in the politics of the wave that swept the nation and turned the tides on the then serving government.

Now picking from the same model, the opposition learnt from Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal, even after coming into power was holding protests and was going on strike which was ironical and this made a mockery of the system. But the other parties, today have made it a point to not just oppose in parliament but to politicize each event and then hold protests. If there are lynchings of a person due to any reason, find caste/religion as a reason and then politicize the concept and then hold a protest. If there is a Bill which has been passed with due process, but opposes the oppositions wishes, then not just oppose it, but also hold protest, create ruckus, inflict inconvenience and damage to the public, and show a protest like Shaheen Bagh. If there is a bill that may or may not support the farmers, then rather than discussing in parliament, create a ruckus, then hold protests and show that the farmers are suffering and even though the protests evidently don’t seem to organic, still show support and get media to cover it.

Media, paid or otherwise, would cover each and every such protest with such diligence that the narrative built for the over all country seems to be as if no one is happy and everything is in disarray. The narrative set is that there is extreme polarization, the country has been divided into “Bhakts” and “Chamchas”, “Liberals/Anti-Nationals” and “Right Wingers/Hyper-Nationals“, Communalism and Secularism. The state of unrest has been made so much a constant that if there is a common day then no one feels that it’s a day…

The way things are going, left to natural unchecked progression could lead to a civil war with no holds barred.

The rampage of Islamism in India

I am agonized by some very recent developments in the UPSC Jihad case. The facts and figures which have been mined out, display an enormous plan activated by the Islamists to capture the Power Centres of India. This plan, which is discussed in this article, would give them enormous power to achieve their final goal which they haven’t, till now.

In order to let you understand the depth of the situation I will start by quoting 2 verses from the Sunan-an-Nasa’I which is one of the six prominent Hadhiths in Islamic Literature. Book of Jihad is one of the chapters in this Hadith. Go to the topic “Invading India” to read the translations which I have quoted here.

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) promised us that we would invade India. If I live to see that, I will sacrifice myself and my wealth. If I am killed, I will be one of the best of the martyrs, and if I come back, I will be Abu Hurairah Al-Muharrar.” [1]

Sunan-an-Nasa’I, 1:25:3176

[1] Al-Muharrar: The one freed (from the Fire).

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘There are two groups of my Ummah whom Allah will free from the Fire: The group that invades India, and the group that will be with ‘Isa bin Maryam, peace be upon him.’”

Sunan-an-Nasa’I, 1:25:3177

The above translations leave no doubt in itself. No context or interpretation can amount to the vivid understanding that these lines provide, for the seething contempt, in Prophet, for India and Indians, basically Hindus. Hence we need to figure out why is this so and why are Hindus, till date, suffering from this contempt. Also after studying this we should be completely sure that Ghazwa-e-Hind is actually a reality and only an apologist of Islam (the one who distorts interpretations to defend it ultimately) or a non-sense Hindu will try and white wash this declaration. Let us move further.

[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, “I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip.”

Quran 8:12

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger – indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

Quran 8:13

The Aayats from 8:50-60 will inform you about how the punishment is offered to those who disbelief and are considered Kafir. Let’s move to the last one that is the 8:60.

“And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.”

Quran 8:60

The explanation of the above quote as according to Surat Al-‘Anfāl (The Spoils of War) 8:60 is the following:

Make ready for them, for fighting them, whatever force you can, the Prophet said that this refers to ‘archers’, as reported by Muslim, and of horses tethered (ribāt is a verbal noun, meaning, ‘restraining them [for use] in the way of God’) that thereby you may dismay, terrify, the enemy of God and your enemy.

Talking about the enemy of Allah and Muslims. Who do you think it is? Modi? Shah? Yogi Adityanath? Israel? Myanmar? Let me explain you this.

Researching on this I got hold of a research paper of a student from University of London. I am quoting from this:

While talking about this, one must understand that the Ummah is the “Islamic Nation” Worldwide. As mentioned here Quran identifies the oppressors, mostly by their faith or ideology and not by their nationality or race. So Quran has thus identified the evil people of the other religious ideologies because these people are against Islam and Muslims.

So who are these oppressors of Muslims from other faiths? Are they Hindus? Are they Jews? For more understanding, consider them as Hindus. Do you see killings on the road? Do you see any such crimes that are being done to butcher Muslims by Hindus? Do you see any communal civil war happening outside? Your mornings are awesome and nights are peaceful. Do you feel this anywhere while talking to any Muslim friend of yours? Do they seem oppressed because you are a Hindu? Have you experienced any such case, in personal? No!

Now let’s have a look at this. This will surely open your eyes.

There have been many profiles on social media denigrating Hindu Gods and Goddesses by posting their nude images. How many Hindus did you see lined up and butchered those who posted these images? But, on the other hand, if for even once, anyone, even a Dalit, replies in the same way that denigrates Prophet, a Muslim mob of 5000 gathers in the beautiful IT city of Bengaluru, burn his house and attack him. Resultantly, he has to leave that area. Talking about Delhi riots, the Delhi Police charge sheet confirms that Muslim leaders mainly Sharjeel Imam, Tahir Hussain, and Umar Khalid wanted to take revenge from Hindus. Why? My conclusions are as follows. One, Pakistani Muslims were not given citizenship under CAA. Two, the Rohingyas and other Pakistani and Bangladeshi Immigrant Muslims shall be ‘weeded out’ if NRC is passed. Still, do you believe that Hindus are oppressing Muslims? If you still do, let me explain why you feel this.

The Print in its report, dated 3 March, 2020 says,

Let’s talk about The Atlantic

Can you understand the logic of the report by the Atlantic? Going by its version, I will conclude that “Hindus unleashed a huge force on Muslims when the international media was on the move. Hindus hereby wanted to gain disrepute from the world and must have felt very happy when India, their only left homeland, was defamed worldwide.” (Here I am talking about orthodox Hindus and not those who have fallen victim to Christianity, Islam and Communism). Can you relate the article to reality? Do you find it worth?

But when you replace Hindus with Muslims and vice versa [which the Delhi Police charge sheet has supplied], you will surely see through the game.

You can easily read these kinds of articles by just typing on Google, these keywords, ‘delhi’, ‘anti-Muslim’, ‘pogrom’ and you will be exposed to the media portals who project to the world that in India, Muslims are being oppressed continuously by the hands of the Hindus and most appropriately, the upper caste.

What will they gain from it must be your question. Well, if this still surprise you, I feel pity for you. I had already mentioned above that Muslims fight those who are enemies of Islam. Who do you think is the enemy of Islam, now after you reading those articles mentioned above? These article find their place in Washington Post and other newspapers whose audience is either the West or the Muslim Orthodoxy in Middle East. The petro-dollars which are then ‘donated’ to the cause of Muslims find their way to India and the deep state uses it to cause tensions and clashes. Meanwhile the people who read these stories in the West, feel disdain towards India and are likely to stop their money which was to be invested here. Thereby weakening the State and empowering the deep state simultaneously.

Now let us come to our actual topic. See the presentation of the Zakat Foundation. I quote from the report by OpIndia.

Also, OpIndia reports,

“The South Block of the Secretariat houses the Prime Minister’s Office, External Affairs Ministry and the Defence Ministry while the North Block houses the Finance and Home Ministries and the Personnel. Zakat Foundation tells Muslims, “For the next 35 years this office can belong to our boys & girls”.”

Here, let me ask you one question. Do you anywhere find “Ghawa-e-Hind” here? No? Do you think that Ghazwa-e-Hind can only be achieved by sword? See, that is the little bit of enlightenment here. The method used here to achieve the Invasion of India or “Ghazwa-e-Hind” is the same concept of ‘Saama’ that forms a part of “Saama, Daama, Danda, and Bheda”.

How do I know this? Well the answer is very simple. See here a video by Syed Zafar Mehmood (President, Zakat Foundation of India). In this, he talks about their future agenda. He conveys here that Muslims have to invoke here the treaty of Hudaibiyah. He asks them to be polite to everybody, help everyone and take care of everyone. To show compassion to everybody. Here, you may charge me and call me names, until you read about the treaty of Hudaibiyah. Let me now explain you what is this all about. Quoting from ArabNews.com.

“…In the name of Almighty Allah. These are the conditions of peace between Muhammad, son of Abdullah, and Suhayl Ibn Amr the envoy of Makkah:

  1. There will be an armistice between the two parties and no fighting for the next 10 years.
  2. Any person or tribe who wishes to join Muhammad and to enter into any agreement with him is free to do so. Likewise any person or tribe who wishes to join the Quraish and to enter into any agreement with them is free to do so.
  3. If any Makkan went to Madinah, then Muslims would return him to Makkah, but if any Muslim from Madinah went to Makkah, he would not be returned.
  4. If any young man, or one whose father is alive, goes to Muhammad without permission from his father or guardian, will be returned to his father or guardian. But if anyone goes to the Quraish of Makkah, will not be returned.
  5. This year the Muslims will go back without entering Makkah. But next year Muhammad and his followers can enter Makkah, spend three days and perform the Umrah.

Apparently, it was an agreement that went against the wishes of the Muslims, but later it turned out to be a great victory for Muslims. The Prophet (peace be upon him) showed extreme patience by accepting all these terms as dictated. This treaty is known as the Treaty of Hudaibiyah. It was one of the most outstanding events and proved to be a turning point in the Islamic history.

Few of those present there could visualize the victory of the treaty based on the Prophet’s farsightedness. The first gain of the Treaty was that hostile Makkan leadership recognized Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) as a leader of the Madinah state. Secondly, the Treaty terminated the hostile behavior of Quraish against Muslims. Now they were allowed to move freely and talk openly about Islam. Thirdly, Muslims were equally allowed to make alliances with other tribes. Fourthly, 10 years armistice with Quraish provided a unique opportunity to preach Islam and to deal with their rivals in other parts of the peninsula. Very soon they conquered the Jewish stronghold of Khyber...”

Do you now realize that “Muslims need to be liberal and inviting to the public at large” so that others start to talk in terms of Islamic apologists and later, embrace Islam. This was how the pagan Meccans were converted to Islam. This is how Indians will be converted to Islam. Peacefully and easily.

Now consider these exclusive ideologies taking the power of your country and imagine the circumstances for those who disbelieve in Islam and are quite happy with their traditional identities. Imagine how will upcoming civil service lobby, ingrained in this exclusive ideology, work. Imagine what would happen to NIA, CBI and SITs. Will the law enshrined in the constitution prevail? Who will then run this country? The Indian politicians or the Muslim radicals?

I have yet not talked about the data and findings shown on Sudarshan TV and mined out by Mr. Sanjeev Newar (Dalit Activist and founder of Agniveer) and his analysis. That will be discussed in another article. But still, I will ask you to see the enormous funds received by Zakat Foundation from Zakir Naik and the enormous amounts of students being admitted yearly in IAS and IPS who have been highly brainwashed in this Islamic ideology. You will be shocked to see the same.

What should we conclude from all this?

We hereby come to this conclusion. Islamists are fighting a war for conversion of India from ‘Dar al-Harb’ to ‘Dar al-Islam’. They will use whatever resources they require, whatever is necessary for achievement of Ghazwa-e-Hind. They use a slogan for Jai Bheem-Jai Meem, in order to assimilate in themselves the marginalized sections of Hindu society, chiefly the Dalits, who themselves form the last defense of Hindu society, from these radical blood thirsty savages. But still, since the Islamic theology states that nobody apart from Muslims will gain their seats in heaven, the Dalits would need to be one day or the other, converted. And I should not miss this, “to save them too from the Hellfire”.

Particularly selective reporting is done to propagate to people that upper-castes are killing Dalits and they need to unite with the Muslims in order to avenge their sufferings. Same media persons and anchors stick to strategic silence for those incidents where Dalits are targeted by Muslims (The Bengaluru street riot is just another episode). They will not speak a word because their blind followers will get to know their game and will see through it. This would further reduce their support, and the ideology, which loses support ceases to exist.

Also Zakat Foundation is working on the Treaty of Hudaibiyah, which was maintained to preach Islam through apologists. So we need to again invoke that common proverb. “All that glitters is not gold!” Be completely sure that they are here to accompalish their mission of Ghazwa-e-Hind and profess Sharia in India. They will do it mischievously and less violently.

Hence we need to understand this as well as identify the trap. Hindu society must be saved. All the existing civilizations perished under the attack of Christianity or Islam. We need to save the Hindu society so as to save the Sanatana Dharma on planet earth. Though Sanatana Dharma still, will continue to exist, but nobody would be practicing it and will surely be eclipsed for a period till someone discovers it again. This if happens, if Hindu society ceases to exist, will be catastrophic to Planet Earth and our Beloved Bharat Mata.

Thank You

[Disclaimer: I regularly use a word ‘Islamists’ in this article. It is hereby declared that the word “Islamists” does not represent my fellow Muslim brethren. I consider the Muslim family of India forcefully converted. They are not radicalized and live their life peacefully. I feel deeply inspired by few Muslims who have either disapproved or have faught against the idea of Islamic radicalism through their esteemed efforts. Sri Arif Muhammad Khan, Sri APJ Abdul Kalam, Sri Zakir Khan, Sri Zakir Hussain, Sri AR Rahman and others who have through their efforts, enriched Indian culture and have stood up for the country. I revere them whole heartedly. I use Islamists for those who are highly colonized by Islamic Radical Theology and are completely brainwashed. They think that they will someday or the other establish Sharia Law in India, which to me is highly intolerable. These people want to breakup my country and I condemn this in highest of the terms. In this Nationalist and Dharmic spirit I write this piece.]

To those adulating Godse on Gandhi Jayanti: You help no cause

0

Courtesy of steadily albeit laggardly rising awareness with regard to history — and I must commend filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and researcher Anuj Dhar very substantially for the same — Indians today know that the second of October heralds the birth anniversary of not merely the one whom Subhas Chandra Bose called Father of the Nation, but also a committed Gandhian who happened to be India’s second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri. Nevertheless, we can all concur with the fact that Prime Minister Shastri by himself was not remotely a polemical figure. Gandhi, on the other hand, invites reactions across the emotional and political spectrum.

I was stupefied reading tweets that commended Godse’s act of assassinating Gandhi. To their benighted minds, Gandhi’s assassination was symbolic of an act of courage against prevalent policies of Muslim-propitiation. Abhorrent as this view is, I cannot bring myself to outrage at its adherents. For this is how they are — overly simplistic and sensationalist in their paradigm, having been willfully kept bereft of academic temperament and having been emblematically programmed with one version history, the discovery of whose speciousness engenders anger within them. As opposed to virtue-signalling, I would prefer a proactive endeavour of inculcating academic temperament within them.

The point that I proceed to make does not necessitate a doctorate, but rudimentary comprehension skills. I do not see how Gandhi’s assassination was any good for the nation. Murder is a crime and the State prosecuted Godse for it.

Those who contend that Gandhi staying alive any further would have been detrimental to India, do not seem to have understood the problem. What harm could he have possibly inflicted upon the nation? Whatever harm there was to be done, had already been done in the immediate aftermath of World War 1 with the pernicious amalgamation of religion and politics called the Khilafat. I am given to understand that the NCERT sixth grade history textbook calls it a unifying movement. I defend another person’s right to be delusional, but the Khilafat ultimately failed. If anything, it only cleaved the Hindus and Muslims further, and had mobilized the Muslims on religious, pan-Islamist grounds, thereby making them inimical to the idea of Indian nationalism thereafter. Ironically, it was opposed by Jinnah of all people (much prior to him becoming an Islamist himself).

Further, the British had no role in it. One may be content with the jejunely conventional propagation that Congress was the progressive, idealistic, tragic hero that failed to prevent India’s Partition, that was a result of British connivance and the parochialism of small yet vocal factions amongst Hindus and Muslims. However, the fact remains that the Khilafat movement which sowed the seeds of Partition, was supported by the Congress. The British did their best to cause fissures in a potential unity such as through separate electorates, but it had no role in the Khilafat.

It is also true that the Congress assiduously built mass support through phenomenal groundwork, but let us not accord it with a divine status. The paramount province of those who write history is to record it with objectivity and not with a sense of awe.

The years after the Khilafat were particularly marked with the capitulation of the Congress to Islamist demands, as would be evinced by Dr. Ambedkar’s incisive book, “Pakistan or the Partition of India”. It is interesting how not one historian or intellectual worth his or her name has, for the past seven decades, not managed to produce a single logical counter to Ambedkar’s book. What the Hindus — more specifically the supporters of BJP — accuse the Congress of (propitiation of Muslims) today, Ambedkar had noted decades ago. He observed:

The first thing which the Congress has failed to realize is that there is a difference between appeasement and settlement, and that the difference is an essential one. Appeasement means buying off the aggressor by conniving at his acts of murder, rape, arson and loot against innocent persons who happen for the moment to be the victims of his displeasure. On the other hand, settlement means laying down the bounds which neither party to it can transgress. Appeasement sets no limits to the demands and aspirations of the aggressor. Settlement does. The second thing the Congress has failed to realize is that the policy of concession has increased Muslim aggressiveness, and what is worse, Muslims interpret these concessions as a sign of defeatism on the part of the Hindus and the absence of the will to resist. This policy of appeasement will involve the Hindus in the same fearful situation in which the Allies found themselves as a result of the policy of appeasement which they adopted towards Hitler.

Being brutally objective — something that would horrify the academia today given that criticism of Nehru and Gandhi is akin to blasphemy for them — the best one could say is that Godse’s act of assassination led to but one such water bucket being emptied. There remained an entire ocean of systemic malaise within the Congress that was oriented around propitiation, as noted by Minhaz Merchant in his column for ThePrint. While his column points to appeasement post-independence, Dr. Ambedkar’s book proves appeasement prior to independence.

Accordingly, Gandhi having not being assassinated would not have exacerbated the situation. On the contrary, I am compelled to think Gandhi realized how profoundly flawed the Congress approach of propitiation had been. Realizing those grievous errors, he did his best to physically tour so much of India as possible in an attempt to dilute communal passions while the rest of the nation celebrated the dawn of independence; an endeavour whose credit I have no prerogative to deprive him of.

With the adulation of his assassin, the Hindus do a disservice to a man who discerned the common Indian like no other, barring perhaps Ambedkar. As opposed to learning from him through an objective view of history, the Hindus lamentably choose to besmirch him. As opposed to deciphering his tactical play at appealing to the masses, the Hindus choose to focus merely on his negatives and calumniate him for them. It does not help the Hindu cause of creating an India that is to be more just to them.

Curses of Indian democracy: Dynocracy and personality Cult

The recent past hullaballoo in India’s grand old party the Indian National Congress, which was responsible for India’s freedom and ruled for more than 55 years of 73 years self-rule so far, and now in custody of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty and their courtiers, over a letter of 23 senior party members, who were disturbed due to party’s fast deterioration since electoral defeat in GE2014, and had appealed to party interim President for urgent steps to arrest the slide in nation’s electoral politics brought to my mind the content of a fiction named ‘Dynocracy’ authored in 2010 by California based American writer Nils Haeggstrom. Dynocracy is a very powerful book and a hard hitting critical fictional story about who is running the government in democracy. In the book, the author has mostly dealt with the powers behind the democratic governments. As per Nils, they (the powers behind the democratic governments) are the very rich and powerful that have controlled the world for centuries. They are dynasties of ruling powers who have supplanted the democracy of the people with their own form of governments. Their only concerns are themselves, and the policy decisions they take for governance of nation mostly relate to preserving their dynasties.

Means dynocracy is a form of government run by dynasties within democratic framework though we read as remarkably propagated by former President of the US, Abraham Lincoln, “Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people”.

An in-depth study of Indian Democracy says ‘the dynocracy form of government is very much there in India as we see the presence of the dynasty politics in almost all political parties (both national and regional parties) which have been in and out of government in national capital and state capitals since independence in the length and breadth of nation. Very omnipresent! And they have virtually supplanted the democracy of India with their own form of governments’.

In India, as per provision of nation’s written constitution, it is a Parliamentary Democracy; and in this system, people have been electing their representatives to Parliament and state Legislative Assemblies who after being elected have been electing their leaders to head the union and state governments. But, in practice, it is other way round. The heads of the political parties (Indian political parties is difficult to count. Once former technocrat-statesman and President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Kalam had sarcastically commented, “You can count the sands in the sea coast, but not the political parties in India”), who are mostly called Supreme Leaders, run their parties as if the parties are their family inherited corporate with very little exception. They have been in the most of the cases elected -as a formality- as the heads of the governments after elections.

In fact, they (Supreme Leaders) select their loyal candidates to be fielded for election for Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of Legislative Assemblies (MLA). Whom they use to select for MP and MLA elections? A close examination of most of the candidates in majority of parties tell the candidates are those who have shown stand out loyalties to parties owner-cum-leaders/supreme leaders by having gone up to extent of saying “India is Indira and Indira is India” and writing poem such as “Indira teri subah ki jai, tere sham ki jai/Tere kam hi jai tere naam ki jai (Deva Kanta Barooah, a poet of considerable distinction in his native Assam and INC President during draconian National Emergency imposed by his Supreme Leader), had hijacked plane in order to protest leader’s arrest for draconian rule imposition while in power (1978 plane hijack by Bholanath Pandey and Devendra Panday, who were rewarded with MLA tickets in 1980 UP state assembly election and one of them became minister), wrote Lalu Chalisha (Brahmadeo Anand Paswan, who was instantly rewarded with Rajya Sabha seat by Lalu Prasad Yadav), burnt innocent students in the college bus on the road protesting arrest of their supreme leader Jayalalita arrest (Krishnagiri college bus burning in 2000), ready to be treated like dog (The incident that present BJP Assam minister Hemant Biswa Sarma had encountered in 2015 when he was in Congress. However, Sarma did not tolerate and resigned), etc. etc.

At various times and in different places in the past, Bal Thackeray, M. G. Ramachandran and N. T. Rama Rao, etc. and now Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Banarjee, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, etc. have been elevated to a sort of superhuman status. Many accuse PM Narendra Modi is too promoting personality cult. But, so far, there is no noticeable instance of Modi indulging in Indira, Lalu, Jayalalita, etc. kind clandestine personality cult promotion.  And the supreme leaders use to campaign throughout the political geography to get his/her loyal candidates elected. And, in fact, people in most of the cases use to vote to supreme leaders’ candidates based on supreme leader already developed personality cult (An early example of personality cult: in 1969, when Indira Gandhi’s candidate V. V .Giri elected as President of India against party’s official candidate N. Sanjeeva Reddy), and policies, latter are in many cases packed with officially announced freebies, and unofficial mid-night distribution of largesse made out of loot of government treasuries or funded by vested interests who would be benefited through nepotism (may be through the government policies) post election as soon as new government formed as per the thought expressed by Nils Haeggstrom in his fiction ‘Dynocracy’.

These dynasties are there in all political parties in India irrespective of political ideologies with slight exceptions (as observed by political experts) in red-Left and saffron-Right hues. Centre-left parties mostly dominating India’s national and states politics have so far been completely run by dynasties owned parties.

Post-independence dalit icon, political theorist and the father of Indian Constitution, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar had got the glimpse of dynocracy and promotion of personality cult in Indian National Congress, the only party having all India base and influence, and had taken over the governance of the nation when the Constitution of India was getting drafted. He could see all this and was worried for the consequences, and had opined, “Just because Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru had rendered lifelong services to the country, did it mean that their actions or ideas were immune from critical scrutiny? Was their record of patriotism enough reason for the ordinary citizens to follow them implicitly and unquestioningly?”

Going further Dr. Ambedkar remarked, “There is nothing wrong in being grateful to great man who have rendered life-long services to the country. But, there are limits to gratefulness”. As has been well said by the Irish patriot Daniel O’Connell, “No man can be grateful at the cost of his honour, no woman can be grateful at the cost of her chastity and no nation can be grateful at the cost of its liberty”. Later Dr. Ambedkar continued, “This caution is far more necessary in the case of India than in the case of any other country. For, in India, Bhakti or what may be called the path of devotion or hero-worship, plays a part in its politics unequalled in magnitude by the part it plays in the politics of any other country in the world. Bhakti in religion may be a road to the salvation of the soul. But in politics, Bhakti or hero-worship is a sure road to degradation and to eventual dictatorship”.

Conflict in Caucasus- An Indian perspective

Introduction

Caucasus is the region between Caspian Sea & Black Sea, south of river Don & Volga. Caucasus region is home to Great Caucasus Mountain Range which separates Western and Eastern Europe. Caucasus can further be divided into two regions i.e Northern Caucasus, also called Cis Caucasus which includes Russian republics of Chechnya, Dagestan, Kalmykia, Ossetia etc. & Southern Caucasus, also called Trans Caucasus which include Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and parts of Turkey and Iran. Recent geopolitical disturbances are centre in Trans Caucasus, hence focus of this write up will be on this region.

The Conflict

Historically Transcaucasia region has been part of Russian empire under Romanov dynasty, the eastern part of this region adjoining Caspian Sea was inhabited by Azeri Shia people of Turkish origin and region adjoining to Turkey was inhabited by Armenian Christians who are part of Eastern Orthodox Christianity. During the period of World War 1, Ottoman Empire carried out genocide and expulsion of 1.5 million Armenian Christians from Turkey and adjoining areas, this has enormous effect on demography of region. With the Russian revolution and fall of Romanov dynasty both Armenia and Azerbaijan declared their independence. Soon after independence Armenian-Azerbaijani war broke out in the disputed districts of Nakhchivan & Karabakh, both were historically Armenian territory. Nakhchivan region was majority Muslim and Karabakh was majority Christian. Ottoman supported Azerbaijan and deputed Enver Pasha along with his newly formed ‘Army of Islam’. This was the time when Russia was also going through civil war under leadership of Vladimir Lenin and Red Army was marching toward the Caucasus defeating White Army.

Red army reached Azerbaijan in April 1920, Azerbaijani government surrendered and red army took over. Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was replaced to form new state called Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic (Azerbaijan SSR) under leadership of Bolshevik party. Until this moment Armenia was fighting well and controlled all so called disputed territories of Nakhchivan, Karabakh etc. Red Army now moved to west from Baku (Azerbaijan’s capital) and captured Karabakh region and transferred this region from Armenian Republic to Azerbaijan SSR. Karabakh had 98% Christian population and was now under Azerbaijan.

Later that year in December (1920) Red Army invaded Armenia and took over its capital Yerevan by mid 1921. By the end of that year Red Army captured all of the country and replaced Armenian Republic with the new state called Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic (Armenian SSR), now Muslim majority Nakhchivan was also given to Azerbaijan SSR & Armenian SSR continued to control Zangezur. Hence this war was ended with transformation of Armenia and Azerbaijan into Soviet Socialist Republics, but Armenia lost its two regions to Azerbaijan. Another Transcaucasia country Georgia was also invaded by Red Army and converted into new state of Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic (Georgian SSR).

Sovietisation of Transcaucasian region was consolidated and completed by newly formed Caucasus Bureau under leadership of Jospeh Stalin, People’s Commissar for Nationalities. Stalin was given charge to subjugate and crush all the small nationalities in order to subjugate them into Soviet system. People’s Commissar Stalin was himself a born Georgian and knew the region very well, he completed the given task too soon.

Initially Karabakh region was given to Armenian SSR but later due to unidentified reasons the decision was changed, there is a speculations that Stalin overturned decision of Caucasus Bureau so that there always remain a conflict and no nationality of the two can stand against Soviet system. In 1922, Soviet Union was officially formed by the ‘Treaty on the creation of USSR’ which was signed by four Republics i.e Russian SFSR, Ukrainian SSR, Belarousiyan SSR and Transcaucasian SFSR. Transcaucasian SFSR (TSFSR) was the federation of republics of Georgian SSR, Armenian SSR, Azerbaijan SSR, in 1936 TSFSR was dissolved again into erstwhile three republics by introduction of Constitution of Soviet Union. These three republics of Transcaucasia continued to be the part of Soviet Union till its fall in 1990.

Post Soviet Union

With the fall of Soviet Union, nationalities of Armenia and Azerbaijan again emerged as respective nation states. Azerbaijan still controlled two Armenian territory of Nakhchivan and Nogarno Karabakh. In 1988, another war broke between the two, over Christian majority Nogarno Karabakh. War of Nogarno Karabakh continued for 6 years, Russia, Greece and Cossacks supporting Armenia and Afghan Jihadis, Turkey supporting Azerbaijan. Armenia decisively defeated Azerbaijan at the end, new Christian dominated ‘Republic of Artsakh’ was formed in Nogarno Karabakh, Armenia captured Lachin Corridor – this corridor connected mainland Armenia with Nogarno Karabakh. Newly formed Republic of Artsakh was/is not recognised by UN to be ‘de jure’ part of Armenia. Recent conflict is centred in this region and started by Azerbaijan.

Message for us

There is a design which we need to understand, the design of subjugation, the design of Islamic fanaticism, the design of expansionism. Nakhchivan (majority Muslim region) which is Armenian land is still ‘de jure’ and ‘de facto’ controlled by Azerbaijan. Nogarno Karabakh (majority Christian region) which is also Armenian land is ‘de facto’ cont by Armenia but ‘de jure’ by Azerbaijan, and all Muslim countries support this usurp of non-Muslim (Christian) land. Now comparing this situation with our UT of Jammu Kashmir – POK/Gilgit Baltistan (Muslim majority) ‘de jure’ our land is ‘de facto’ controlled by Pakistan and J&K where sizeable Hindus and Buddhists live which is ‘de facto’ and ‘de jure’ our land is also claimed by Pakistan, supported by same Muslim countries.

Armenia surrounded on three sides by Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran and India surrounded on three sides by Pakistan, China, Bangladesh. Noting this situations if Armenia is not a natural ally of us, then who is (In given current situations). We both faced Islamic genocide in history, hence we  should stand in solidarity with Armenians. After nullification of Article 370 and 35A, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan openly supported us on Kashmir issue, hence we should reciprocate and support them on Nogarno Karabakh

Geopolitical Concern

Geopolitically our only concern is the International Noth-South Corridor (INSC) project which connect Mumbai to Moscow through Iran and Azerbaijan. This project is more important for Russia as compared to us because they need warm waters not us, that’s why we should leave it on Russians, to deal with Iran & Azerbaijan. In his UNGA address PM Shri Narendra Modi strongly demanded more influential position for India, if we want to be recognised as super power than at least we should start behaving like one. Hence its our prime duty to balance the power in region because Turkey is trying to disturb the balance of power between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This region from Ankara (Turkey) to Indonesia is our region/our land which has been influenced and ruled by us in the history hence we should not let any country to disturb power balance.

What’s happening is not just Islamic fanaticism, but lager design of Oghuz Turkic Islamic imperialism. They not only want to expand through Islamaization but also through linguistic and cultural Turkification of the region. This is the reason why Shia Azerbaijan is enemy of Shia Iran but ally of Sunni Turkey. Because they want to create a Pan-Turk empire and subjugate all in the region in order to turn them into Turkish Muslim, there is no sectarian fault in Turk Islamic Fascism.

Lessons learnt from Dhoni’s leadership

0

MSD’s leadership had been original. If you compare ‘Dhoni-The-Person’ and ‘Dhoni-The-Leader’, it aligns perfectly. That’s the best thing about a leader that s/he does not try to be a different self when s/he wears the leader hat. The core should be intact as you can bring out your best when you are acting as yourself and not as someone else. You are what you are and refine yourself to get better.

Look at Dhoni — he led stars like SachinDravidHarbhajanSehwagYuvrajZaheer (and even Sourav) immediately after being the captain. From my personal experience I can tell this is so very difficult. I moved to management role as a career move and as a part of the team reorganization, my manager started reporting to me. I could feel what Dhoni must have gone through when these stalwarts played under him. In Indian culture, seniority plays a big role and to manage seniors is not trivial and mainly when we are talking about a bunch of superstars together. And he did it exceptionally well, after the debacle and low morale under Greg Chappell, he found a formula to bring back teams moral and winning ways. He backed his players and knew their strength and used it very effectively.

Below are just a few lessons learned from MSD:

Don’t let the situation take control of your mind:

This is highly critical in crisis situations and unprecedented time just like what we are going through at this point. Gray Kristen once said “I will go to the war with Dhoni by my side” — That summaries it. Such a cool personality undeterred by any situation and focusing on his goal like Arjun’s ‘Matsya Vedh’. He is such a calm personality, rightly termed as “Captain Cool”. You must have seen him numerous times how calm he was after a match whether team wins or loses, always emotionally isolated from the results, a balanced personality to the core.

Patience:

Having enormous patience, takes the match to the last over ball by ball and finishes it off, undoubtedly the ‘Best Finisher’ of the game of cricket that the world has ever produced. It’s about patience and not getting bogged down with pressure. It’s about working continuously on the strategy at hand, do one thing at a time and move to the next while the final goal is always in mind. When there had been a huge score to chase, what he had done is divide the target into multiple phases and attacked one target at a time. When immediate target is achieved, go for the next one until finishing it off in style — Example of ‘focused-patience’ .

Process is important not the result:

Dhoni has often talked about how the process is more important than the result, the result is just a by-product of the process. He believed in that and guided the team accordingly through out his career. I believe if you have done the things right, have done your preparation and gone through hard work, results are bound to come. So better to focus on the process part which will lead to the result.

Team comes first:

If you had seen numerous trophies that he had own as a captain, during presentation ceremony, he just hands over the trophy to the team and stepped aside. Always gives the credit to the team — he knows a captain is as good as his team. No hunger for limelight. Just doing his job — These kinds of gestures brings in a lot of respect for him. But it should come naturally which is in Dhoni’s case.

Know your team:

Some might think Dhoni is shy or introvert. But Dhoni’s style of functioning was to quietly do his things without saying much. He knows the strength of each player of his team and tactically uses them. You might have seen in many games how he rotated his bowers which might seem little unconventional, but if you analyse why he took a particular step, you will realize his deep knowledge of his player and the situation that made him take the decision.

Confidence on your ability:

Remember how many times he had taken the match to the end, planned perfectly with right kind of risk and finished it off with just a few balls or no balls to spare. I remember many a time me being a big cricket lover had gone through uncomfortable situation and becoming restless when MDS had ducked a ball with a big asking run rate. I did not understand why he had to do that. Not just me, most does not understand. Sometimes commentators had talked about it openly not able to understand The ‘Dhoni-Logic’ and ‘Dhoni-Mindset’ at that time. But finally, he had scored the runs and won matches. Which shows the immense Confidence on his ability to finish games.

Believe in your instinct & go with your gut:

When MSD gave the ball to Joginder Singh during 2007 T20 World cup final, I am not sure how many hearts would have pounded vigorously and how many of us would have thought it was not the right move. As a captain, one would have gone with a safer option with an established bowler, but you know what he did, and rest is history. And this is not the only time, if you see the long 16 years career of his, you will find similar examples again and again and it has proved right most of the time. The numerous DRS decision, which he had got right most of the times. So, it is not a fluke, he is able to think what others can’t even imagine. Take unconventional steps (people even called him a ‘Gambler’) to achieve results.

Be aggressive when needed:

One does not need to be aggressive all the time as aggression consumes energy. You got to preserve energy and use it when needed. Dhoni has done it throughout his career. Keeping his best for the last when it is indeed required. No need to be a Hero all the time when it can be achieved without any visible heroism.

Make your work your passion:

A new father Dhoni once said, ‘I am on national duties so everything else can wait’. The dedication and passion he has is amazing. Without that, it is not easy to achieve what he did coming from a place in Jharkhand.

As they once said:

Michael Hussey said “I am really gifted to play under the leadership of MSD

Virat Kohli said “I don’t think one can question MS’ leadership

Kapil Dev said “Dhoni is my hero …

Sachin Tendulkar said “Dhoni is the best captain I have played under

These are great lessons and can be used in any domain, any scenario and any circumstances. Salute Captain Cool.

The Covid 19 pandemic and China’s end game

0

Almost a year after the start of the current coronavirus pandemic, it is more important than ever to look at the origins of the pandemic and how this will eventually end. As the governments across the world continue to investigate the origins of the coronavirus (covid-19) and as occasional claims from whistleblowers like Dr. Li-Meng Yan stumble out of the closet, it is important to realize that we may never be able to establish conclusively the origins of the virus, especially with the iron curtains pulled firmly down, by China, on any independent investigation. Hence, this article seeks to look at circumstantial evidence, urges the world leaders to place the onus of full and impartial investigation on China, and more importantly details the steps that should be taken to protect their citizenry while the investigation is on and the clouds of suspicion hover on.

Most criminal investigations would know that six basic questions should be answered to catch the culprit – “Who, what, when, where, why, and how?” The what, when, where and how are obvious in mort crimes and it’s the other two, who and why are hideous.  In this case, it is undisputed that the Virus originated in China and spread from there across the globe. It is also well documented by now as to how the virus spread across the globe from China while it was well contained to only parts of China. Now the only questions that remain are the why – motive, and the who – perpetrator. These two questions are intertwined, and tend to lead towards each other. As detailed in the following paragraphs, the answers to these two questions leads to the unmistakable conclusion on the origins and the culpability for the current pandemic.

By some accounts, China is poised to overtake the United States to be the biggest economic power by the year 2035. Although many differ with these projections and point towards the several deficiencies inherent in these assumptions like the continued growth at the current rates of growth, the inherent weaknesses of the economic model, and the steep innovation differential, to name a few. Almost everyone is certain that China will take much longer to garner the national power and goodwill to dismantle USA as the worlds super power. Also, right or wrong, the Chinese government feels that to truly surpass USA it has to expand its territory, secure the Indian ocean supply lines and have an unhindered access to Africa, Latin America and Central Asia in lines with the old silk road. This is impossible to achieve without disrupting the current world order.

Under the circumstances, China is faced with the prospect of continuing to work for years before they can claim the much-coveted economic mantle and for several decades thereafter to truly displace the USA as the world power. This organic growth option is fraught with risk, uncertainties and huge resistance to its expansionist plans. Also, any overt action against USA and other world powers will definitely destroy the Chinese dream because of the economic, political and social consequences of such an action, and tantamount to throwing the baby out with bathwater.  In contrast, the option of unleashing a hideous biological war, destroying other world economies as a consequence and encroaching coveted territories in the ensuing confusion, seems more palatable especially if this can be carried on stealthily. It is now crystal clear that unleashing a deadly virus on the world will benefit China.

Also, as we know actions taken by a person after the crime help confirm the motivations for the crime.  For instance, a robber steals valuables after mugging, a murderer generally obtains / attempts to obtain profit / pleasure after the act, and so on. Similarly, the actions taken by the Chinese government to profit from the pandemic confirm the motivations outlined earlier. On the economic front, these actions include its actions to contain the virus within china to small pockets while allowing spread the virus across the world. This is also evident from the nimbleness with which they were able to get back to their foot while the rest of the world is still reeling under the effects of the pandemic.

On the political and social side, the actions that help us reach the same conclusion include China’s quest to expand its territorial claims with its embattled neighbors, its efforts to establish supremacy over the south china sea, and its attempt to circumvent the agreements with the people of Hong Kong or its attempts to purchase international companies shares while the prices are rock bottom. Considering the above, it is incredulous to believe that it’s a coincidence that the virus magically jumped out of a natural evolution at an opportune time to benefit a single player. As the saying goes, coincidence ceases to be a coincidence when we have too much of a coincidence. In summary, the naked display of power and greed coupled with absence of any remorse or guilt that we have seen from China over the past months, provide additional credence to the conclusions that are reached.

Although waging a biological war is fraught with risks, in the calculations of the Chinese establishment, the risks could have been mitigated by creating a façade of natural evolution of the virus, self-infliction of its subjects in Wuhan with the virus (while leaving the other regions largely unaffected so as to retain the ability to leverage the opportunities arising).  Also, a favorable tango of circumstances – the present inept leadership of the P5 and the WHO, the withdrawal of USA from leadership positions around the world and the weakened international alliances under president Trump would have emboldened China. In all fairness, and in a tribute to the meticulous planning of the Chinese government, it may never be conclusively established that China was the perpetuator but ignoring the circumstantial evidence and taking steps to protect ourselves can be at our own peril.

The end game of the Chinese, as has been pointed out earlier, may be to dominate the world and convert it either into a bipolar / much worse a unipolar world with China at the helm. Now this is not going to be easy, the coronavirus can and will be defeated sooner rather than later with a vaccine / a medicine / at worst with herd immunity. The worrying part is that if we let such acts go unpunished by burying our heads in the sand, it provides an added incentive to China or any of its lap dogs to unleash series of viruses on the world community till our families, our friends, our economies, our communities, and our countries are destroyed. Also, our ability to respond to the biological or other wars that will eventually be unleashed are bound to dissipate into thin air with each successive attack.

In order to protect ourselves from further attacks, we should take below steps to quarantine the Chinese government till the investigation is complete and the clouds of suspicion are cleared. The recent news of emergence of another variant of the swine flu and a new food virus is clearly ominous and point towards a second / third attack that is already underway. These measures include:

  1. Take collective action to move the manufacturing bases and our supply chains out of China.
  2. Suspend all trade with China until all biological, chemical, nuclear and space labs in China are placed under international supervision.
  3. Suspend China from the security council of the United Nations till its innocence is established.
  4. Closely monitor all mechanisms through which another biological war can be waged by restricting the delivery mechanisms.
  5. Establish a new international trade regime that requires all members to act responsibly and establish a network for information exchange. Only signatories to the treaty should be able to participate in international trade.
  6. Freeze all of China’s international assets and impose international sanctions till the Chinese government proves its innocence.
  7. Frustrate any military adventurism by forming global security alliances, so as to prevent it from taking undue advantage of its actions.

Unless we take effective measures to contain further adventurism and if our suspicions prove accurate, we can very well kiss good bye to the world order as it stands today and those of us who are unfortunate enough to survive the next series of biological / other attacks, can look forward to be ruled by China. The only way to remove the clouds of suspicion is for China to help with an independent investigation and for this to be completed as expeditiously as possible.
