Dear Americans, reflect hard

0

Dear American Citizens!

I am an Indian citizen but I am most concerned with the ensuing presidential election in your country because your choice will affect many citizens across the world. Yes choice of the American citizens, will determine not only the fate of America but also the rest of the world. To understand the implications of the above statement, it is necessary to understand the nature of evil forces that are at play around the world and particularly in USA.

The world is speedily slipping in to the the grip of two groups of forces whose sole aim is to dominate the world. These two groups even though they have separate design objectives for dominating the world they complement each other in their approach towards their objective. Both of them constantly work to weaken their adversary all the time, using the decency of its adversaries to work for them. Both these groups subscribe to this doctrine that anybody who is not with them is against them.

Not much effort is needed on the part of any common man who has elementary awareness about what is happening around the world to guess which are these two groups. One of these two cancerous group is a religious fundamentalist force which wants to convert all non believers to their faith or annihilate them in the name of holy war and the other cancerous group wants to uproot all ideologies except their version of communism.

Both these evil forces do not have even an iota of liberalism in the doctrine that they swear by. Both believe in subjugation of humanity for higher ideals perceived by them. Very cleverly and surreptitiously these two evil groups aspiring for global dominance, leverage Liberal values of a civilized society. Ironically the group of people who call themselves as liberals and take to street protest at the first sign of any encroachment to  their liberal values or restrictive measures to the Liberal society end up becoming a catalyst for these two world domination aspiring forces.

Unfortunately many of these Liberals have pre world war and world war era schisms strongly ingrained in their mind set. Post world war period has seen establishment of democratic forms of govts in most of the nations and unlike the world war era, there is a consortium of world Nations. UNO, which makes it difficult for any one Nation to continue with its imperialistic design or enter in to war with other without dwelling upon options for peaceful resolution of conflict of interests. Therefore the Liberal’s traditional strong allergy to Nationalism and rightwing dominance is misplaced.

In many countries, the protest value of liberal/activists  is compensated by those who wish to exploit their  rent a cause protest potential either through media columns or through mass street  movements. Some of them are permanently hired by the groups which want to further their vested interests. Especially in my country India the left leaning liberal class come as an amoral group willing to trade the interest of their nation and the society they live in for personal rewards and perks.

The most unfortunate thing that these Liberals do not realize is that with their penchant for unregulated liberties, one day they will end up face to face with those very forces which will devour all of their liberties. Many of these liberals are highly paid for to carry on their liberal tag. What is happening in many liberalized democracies of Europe is portent for terrifying things in store for future, if the common public does not wake up to this hard reality that their future is at stake in the inter play of cancerous forces trying to mushroom itself across the world, then it will be too late.

From the afore said paragraphs, it important to note that  choice  that would go on to blunt and checkmate   the ill designs of these forces, should be persisted with. The vote should be oriented towards future generations of America and that of the world community. What happens in USA affects rest of the world too.

It is not the personalities who matter, but what really matters is what these personalities stand for. How they wish to take the fight of the rest of the world against these two evil groups. No one should underestimate the power of these two cancerous groups they have so much money to splurge that they can have the entire American main stream news media and the prominent liberals in their pocket to drive their agenda. An empirical rule for guidance is that when the main media is against someone disdainfully then take it that  person’s winning would cause lot of perturbation to their design, hence he should be the natural choice of your vote. From the day the republican president took office in 2016 the media mechanization and left liberals have been after him to unsettle him. It is not that America never had republican presidents before, then why so much of adverse campaigns against Mr. Trump. Which hidden patrons these media mafia and left liberals are representing, who is orchestrating their vilifying campaign, think and reflect. If you let things slip out of control, then there may not even be a remotest possibility of yet another American revolution taking birth in centuries to rescue the Americans from the clutches of Evil forces that would have taken over America.

Any president who cannot vehemently and forthrightly tackle the Chinese govt is a liability for the entire world. The Chinese should not be allowed to get away with the worldwide genocide committed by them and economic mess created by them. Both the religious fundamentalist group and the Chinese dragon would not like Trump to return.

Praying for better future for the world.

Yours sincerely

Chandra

Why abrogation of article 370 is looking like a headline management act, and Why Islamist still rule J&K

0

On 5th August 2019, PM Narendra Modi led BJP Government, through special Presidential orders made Article 370 inoperable and revoked the special status of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). It also did away with Article 35A, which gave J&K Government rights, to decide who is a permanent resident. Further, the state was bifurcated into two union territories- Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This, without any doubt, was one of the most daring acts of using Parliament to fulfil the party’s oldest agenda (and satisfy core voters) and address one of the fundamental problems bothering this country. And rightly it was hailed as a visionary step! And Modi’s stature, which was already competing with Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s, was now rising to match Nehru’s.

It was expected that along with the development of the state, this will help the Indian Government erase the biggest blot on its administration record – Exodus of Kashmiri Hindus! Or to rephrase, Hindus who were hounded and chased out of their homes in 1990, will be returning to ancestral homes. But, nothing of that sort happened. Exiled Hindus are still very much there, where they were before 5th Aug 2019. And what’s worse, they have no plan to go back. Instead, we have the Ex-CM, Farooq Abdullah rudely reminding us that Kashmiris would not mind being ruled by Chinese. Perhaps, an indication, that an average Kashmiri is even more alienated than he was before 5th Aug 2019.

Government, on its part, has been trying to woo Pandits back to the valley through rehabilitation and economic packages. But to no avail. There seem to be no takers for these. So, what went wrong? Was the expectation, that abrogation of 370, will create conditions which will facilitate Hindus return, itself misplaced? Or Hindus themselves not interested in rehabilitating the home and hearth they claim to love so much? Or something else?

To get to the nub of the problem, pause for a moment, dig deep and reflect before passing on any judgements. Why did Hindus flee? For better career opportunities? Or it was the lure of big-time money, which took them to as distant places as Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat? What does it take to understand, it was the hostile neighbourhood and mortal fear which forced them to abandon their habitats! Then why is the Government offering jobs and financial allurements? What has the Government done to quell the Jihadi hostilities on the ground?

I am sure the current Government is fully aware that there are two major dimensions to the Kashmir problem – Political/Constitutional and Demographic/Social. Abrogation of 370 only addressed the Constitutional dimension. But the needle hasn’t moved even an inch demographically. Simply put, the social conditions on the ground, which led to Pandit Exodus have not changed, if not worsened. However, can’t blame this current dispensation, as these conditions are not their making.

Those conditions were the result of the initial power struggle between Congress and National Conference (NC) in the first half of the eighties and illicit connivance between the two, in the second half. At the turn of the decade, JKLF was the de facto leader of Kashmiri Muslims and it successfully sowed the poisonous seeds of Jihad in Kashmir. Jihad, which gives the faithful the right to lay their hands on whatever the infidels (Kafir) have. Hindus were going to have a taste of Jihad very soon.

In January 1990, warnings were flashed from mosque loudspeakers, targeting Pandits. In clear terms they were given the devils alternative – either convert to Islam or get killed or leave. Pandits who were hopelessly outnumbered had no choice but to dump their belongings and leave immediately with loved ones. Three decades have passed, but justice seems far away. Now we have a strong Government, in its second term, which is committed publicly to restore Pandits their homes and pride, but it seems incapable of making this happen.

So, was abrogating 370 an error? Only played for BJP/RSS’ Far-Right Hindutva gallery? Is it not going to be helpful to facilitate Pandit’s return? Let’s examine.

When the Congress Government led by Nehru in 1949 enacted article 370, it exempted the state of Jammu and Kashmir from the constitution of India. Or, the laws which were applicable to Indians were not binding on residents of J&K. Then which laws were applicable to them? There were special laws.

For example :

  • A resident of J&K(Hindu or Muslim) can buy land anywhere in India. But an Indian who’s not a resident of J&K can’t acquire property in J&K.
  • A J&K woman marrying anyone who’s not a resident of J&K will lose all ancestral rights to the property etc.
  • No Indian other than a resident of J&K can get a Government job in J&K.

Now tell me, you have heard a more outrageous thing than this one! J&K was a Pakistani state within India, created by Indian Constitution! When a Kashmiri Pandit, himself was at the helm!

Now that I have you, let me turn the knife a little more.

  • During partition, millions of Sikhs and Hindus were displaced from Pakistan. Many of them who came into J&K were not given residential rights until today. Which means they can neither buy property in J&K nor lease a property for themselves.

A slight digression here, but worth a mention, nonetheless. That’s what the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) tries to correct. You connect the dots and understand why such heartburn amongst a section of Politicians & Press! And why riots were engineered once the law was passed.

So, Article 370 legitimized the Islamist claim, that Kashmir will be run as per diktats from Pakistan and not as per the framework laid by the Indian Constitution. Abrogation of 370 dismantles the Constitutional mechanism which allowed this sectarian discrimination. So, none should have any doubt about the political and civilisational importance of this daring step by Modi & Shah.

Yet, the fact remains that it has failed to create confidence amongst Kashmiri Hindus! To reiterate, they are not going back to Kashmir till they are sure that their security is guaranteed by the government. What’s the point in going back to the same bloodthirsty neighbourhood? Where even the police and local administration is infested with Jihadi elements!

Does this mean they have renounced the land of Abhinavgupta & Chinar for good? I don’t think so. But for that to happen this Government has to bridge the massive trust gap, which is there at the moment. And it has to travel an extra mile to address apprehensions & few demands of exiled Hindus.

In the upcoming article, we will try to spell out those demands and scrutinize the feasibility of those.

The Social Dilemma!

0

The Social Dilemma, the new Netflix documentary, tells a story most of us are familiar with, but conveys it with scalding urgency. What are we submitting to, as we sleepwalk through our lives, staring at our screens, twitching to our notifications? What will it take to wake up?

Silicon Valley insiders, engineers, ethicists, investors, and scholars describe how the internet has been taken over by social media oligopolies, and their power to change the very fabric of our reality. Whether it is Google, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or Snapchat, these “attention merchants” are in the business of harvesting our minds, hacking our psychologies, to sell to us more efficiently. We give ourselves away with every click, we are mercilessly profiled, and we are bought and sold: to advertisers, corporations, political actors, anyone who profits from it.

Why does this matter, and why aren’t we resisting this manipulation? Because it’s so very pleasant, like being on drugs. Social media companies exploit our own hardwired human need to speak and listen to others, to care about social approval. And once we’re hooked, they experiment on us. A range of persuasive technologies is turned on – every morning, we are prompted to think thoughts we didn’t intend to, because of our phone’s notifications. Every “pull and refresh” that bridges new content is like the thrill of playing a slot machine, every tagged photo is a fresh dose. When you see bubbles that show someone is typing, it magnetizes your attention. These are not choices we consciously make, they suck us in at deeper, helpless level. Social media platforms know each of us minutely, can predict our tendencies, and can also mold our behaviour at scale.

Does this seem exaggerated? After all, every new technology has caused a moral panic, including the telephone and the television. But this time it’s different, warns the documentary. With exponential increases in processing power, this is a whole new species of power and influences, with artificial intelligence and constantly learning algorithms. You and I don’t stand a chance against a phenomenal machine that knows everything about us, it’s not a fair fight. Steve Jobs once spoke of the Internet as a “bicycle for the mind”, a benevolent tool that enhances human capacities – but these platforms are not our tools, we are their tools.

It didn’t have to turn out this way. Those in their 30s or older still remember the magic of the internet before this hyper-commodification, what a generous resource and community it used to be. There are still traces of that old humane ethic; Lanier points to Wikipedia, where all of us see the same information, it is not spying and calculating and giving us our own customised reality.

While we know, in concept, that social media locks us into our own echo chambers, we don’t quite understand what this means. The Social Dilemma jolts us into realising how our realities are composed of a stream of thoughts. If you and I are fed content meant to pander our own personal enthusiasms and trigger our fears, fake or real, then soon we come to inhabit entirely different realities. We don’t even realise that others are not seeing what we are seeing. That explains why political differences, arguments over climate change or coronavirus, seem so bitter and intractable now. Our shared truths, our common sense, the very basis for reason and compromise, are being shredded because of the commercial imperatives of social media platforms.

The documentary recognises that the problem is not the technology itself, but the social forces that it amplifies. A handful of Silicon Valley platforms have become the richest companies in the history of humanity, threatening democracy. Extractive capitalism is built not to care about the effects, just as it recklessly mined the earth and destroyed entire species, it has now turned on us.

When tech barons now say “data is the new oil”, they mean that this time, our humanity is the basis of their profits. For all the fine reassurances of tech CEOs, this danger is hard for them to roll back. Algorithms cannot restore the truth, they have no way of knowing it. There is continuous pressure on them to grow, shareholder interests to consider. Recovering control has to come from us, from massive public determination. As individuals, we can make small tweaks, pay for services, turn off notifications, erect privacy barriers. Governments must realign their financial incentives- by taxing data collection or data assets or regulating them as privately owned infrastructure.

Can this be done? When confronted with the concentrated power of those companies, and the fragile grip of democratic institutions, the status quo seems overbearing. But the future is open, all change depends on the hell we raise now. And the last line of The Social Dilemma puts it simply: “We have to”.

Bollywood shall reinvent itself

0

Recently India witnessed some defining moments. It’s not hard to guess whether Bollywood was part of this. Bollywood is part of everything in India. Starting right from the birth and continuing to the moment of departure from this world, very few lives in this country remain untouched from Bollywood. Why should it not be! It is the biggest film industry of the world, producing maximum number of films than any film industry of World, it boasts of fielding its actors and actresses on varying field right from the intellectual panels to high profile political campaigns and then to powerful political posts itself. All this said, obviously with all these privileges, Bollywood cannot be just a commercial platform for churning thousands of crores, and it cannot absolve itself from the social distresses this country is going through right now. Here we will discuss the role model Bollywood presents through the movies it produces.

Bollywood has miserably failed to project woman more than an object to spice the glam content of the movie. How many movies do we remember where we have heroine as a meaningful part of the whole story leave aside as the lead character? Increasing trend of item dance in the movie shall be questioned by every sane woman activist. These songs add no art value to the movies but are solely kept to attract the viewers. At one hand when Bollywood pats its own back on being the crusader of woman rights, how can it support something like this. No wonder Indian heroine career spans hardly above 35 years of age. Very few heroines can boast of doing movies above 35 where they played a meaningful role.

While this would have not been any problem for a personal business. But this is not the case here. Bollywood has influenced India and will keeping doing so in time to come. When we with our young minds go to cinema and they see that heroine only role was to dance and wear the most revealing dress on screen without any purpose they are somewhere unconsciously hardwiring it in their mind. They are shown this repeatedly and frequently and no wonder this feeling of woman character only for dancing and body showcasing sits in their mind deep. We can’t deny that parental guidance and their home ambience has no role in countering or promoting these emotions but not all minds are lucky enough to get the right guidance. Results are devastating. These minds grow up with a picture where whistling at the girl in college campus is not wrong because the top Heroes of Bollywood do so repeatedly in the movie. In their view touching hand of girl or hugging her or for that matter kissing her against her wishes is not wrong because in the end he is going to win over her heart because his role model super Heroes do so in the movies.

There is no want of intellectual in Bollywood industry. But it remains a fact to wonder that how these storylines and narrative has been left untouched and unopposed over the decades starting from 70s. How the woman-cause champions heroines which are frequent storm creator on twitter and other social media platform does not come forward, calls spade a spade, and simply come together to refuse to accept the story lines where woman is used for item dance, low cut blouse and for being teased.

Audience can be blamed too, but this is uncontrollable factor. One can simply ask why people don’t boycott such movies? But this is no topic to pass the bucket. Other than that a whole industry works to attract people towards these movies, and people storm to it. It must be stopped at the source. Bollywood having abundant of talent, intellect and capacity to do it, shall come forward and set an example which will showcase not to other Indian film industry but whole world that it must start at home first. Walk the talk Bollywood, win the hearts, win the glory.

Selective intellectuality shall be called out. You can’t hide behind the shell of entertainment and art while agreeing  to play roles which downgrade the woman stature. You cant agree to treat woman as a show piece in the movie, no matter how much commercially viable that is , you can not agree to live dual life once inside the cinema and one outside the cinema.

Come on, call it out. Give up the projects, object on the story line, be vocal and present a model which shall be not only commercially viable for your pockets but also healer to the wounds of women of Indian society which in one way or other have suffered for ages. Its time to change, and who better than Bollywood can inspire India to do so.

Uttar Pradesh – The Yogi path

0

On the 19th March 2017, BJP leadership choosed Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister, the decision which gained traction from both sides. From one side it was seen with the prism of dogma and narrowness whereas on the other hand it was considered to be important milestone in journey of Hindutva and cultural unity of India.

Uttar Pradesh is now ranked on Second position in ‘Ease of doing business index’ this year, only behind Andhra Pradesh. It was a great leap i.e of 10 positions as compared with last year. New film city in Noida is also proposed now, which would play an instrumental role in promotion of our cultural soft power as well as will help in creating jobs there. Zero corruption at the apex is now made possible which seems to be impossible in the reign of Mayawati & Akhilesh Yadav. Electricity cut is not any issue now and nearly 30% of the state is under 24*7 power supply range.

The conditions of the state than was deeply disturbing after the 15 years rule of mismanagement, corrupt system and mafia raj, the revenue was meagre, literally no investment and the left businesses were heading to different places in the country. There was enormous challenges in this state of mammoth possibilities, the biggest challenge for the newly elected CM was to change the tide of challenges into opportunities.
Yogi started with the long standing problem of farmers and farming which is generally neglected in the light of manufacturing and service sectors. Government sanctioned ₹36 thousand crores for the loan waiver of small and marginal farmers. Further fixed Minimum Selling Price(MSP) for crops like wheat and rice, with record purchase of these crops. Government paid long standing bill of ₹92 thousand crores to the sugarcane farmers and the sealing of illegal slaughter houses paved the way for long term aim of establishing dairy industries in the state. 3 new sugarcane mills are started in Munderwa, Pipraich and Ramala, due to this the capacity of sugarcane processing is increased by 27850 TCD.

Unnecessary holidays in government schools were scrapped so as to increase the study hours and efficient working of schools, modern model primary schools are constructed, free of cost supply of uniform and study material is insured to the marginal section of students and the course structure of primary education in the state is changed to NCERT in order to suite the current time.

In the area of Higher Education – 14 new agricultural science centres are established, whereas 6 more are in pipeline. Construction of 15 new medical colleges were started out of which 7 are full functional from the year 2019, the government has plan to start construction of 15 more Medical colleges from year 2020. This is part of the high profile agenda of Yogi government to provide at least one medical college for every two districts in the state. Gorakhpur AIIMS is now operational and a new cancer institute is also coming. A National Law University is proposed in Prayagraj, 3 new state universities, 1 police forensic university and a Ayush University is proposed to be constructed in the state.

To negate the disparity in the basic developmental work, the very great infrastructure work like Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Ganga Expressway and Defence Corridor is chalked through the least developed regions of the province and is carried out in pace. Before 2017 only 2 cities of Uttar Pradesh were connected with the good Air connectivity whereas now 8 cities are connected and construction is in pace on 12 new airport projects. An International Airport project in coming up in Jewar near Noida. All these basic infrastructural developments with the cherry topping of recently organised Investors Summit will produce not only employment but will be thrust in nation’s development.

Progress in infrastructure development and very tight law and order situation under Yogi Adityanath is the main positive impact that interest of Investors in the state is increased by 18.6%. MoUs worth of ₹4.68 lakh crores were signed in Investors Summit 2018 out of which 371 projects are working on the ground. 3.3 million direct and indirect jobs will be created after the full development of these infrastructure project by 2022. Uttar Pradesh Government will be organising an one of its kind of “Global Investors Summit” this year i.e 2020.

Without good irrigation infrastructure, no agricultural growth can be achieved. Yogi Adityanath government has completed long standing’Bansagar Irrigation Project’. Arjun Sahayak, Bhawani and Bandai Irrigation project is done in Bundelkhand whereas Saryu Canal, Mid-Ganga Canal in Plain areas are completed which will irrigate extra 18 lakh hectare land and is boon for nearly 50 lakh farmers. Water scarcity is the pressing problem in Bundelkhand region, the new project named “Khet Talab Yojana” is started in which nearly 8 thousand ponds are constructed by government on private lands, 6 thousand more ponds are to be constructed by end of 2020. Aami river in Gorakhpur, Tamsa river in Ayodhya, Odi river in Lalitpur and Gomti river in Pilibhit is rejuvenated in order to make availability of water. 14 crore litres of daily sewage discharge to river Ganga is discontinued by closing Sisamau sewer in Kanpur.

Yogi Adityanath has many more challenges to cope with and many more duties to discharge. The coming time will testify whether he is able to do or not.

The hypocrisy of Indian Media- A Muslim man in Mumbai held a 27-year-old engineer girl captive and raped her for two-and-a-half months, forced her to convert to Islam, tonsured her head

At present a massive national media coverage is being given to the Hathras case, where a 19-year old girl met with an unfortunate death after being assaulted. Charges of gang-rape were added 8 days after the incident though, and one of the 4 accused seems to have a strong alibi, and no report has as yet confirmed rape. The original statements of the victim, her mother and brother, immediately after the incident on 14 September 2020 did not have any allegation of rape, and named only 1 accused for attempt to murder. Later after some political leaders and other vested interests met the family, new charges were made from 22 September onwards. Some audios are out that the family members were being tutored by some vested interests, who were reporters of major TV channels and linked to leaders of political parties.

In this, the TV channels should have immediately highlighted the contradictory statements given by family members of the victim. Murder by strangulation- death is a heinous crime in itself. It should not be falsely magnified with rape, and then gang-rape if it is not true. If true, then it should certainly be highlighted. But in this case, false allegations were made that the eyes of the girl were gouged out, and that her tongue was cut. Such fake news makes one suspect even more if vested interests were fully at play here. The family members should have been asked by the media if they were tutored by anyone to name others as accused later, and allege rape later. One should follow what Deepika Bhardwaj is saying on Twitter and YouTube on this to get a clearer perspective of the case.

We hope that justice is served in this case to everyone-to the unfortunate girl who lost her life, to all the accused- the guilty should be punished and innocents (if any) acquitted, to those who tried to tutor the family, if they tutored them to make false allegations later, the tutors too need to be brought to justice, as well as those who took part in painting a wrong picture of the case, if they did. If no tutoring and false claims were made, then all those who raped should be punished. As also police officers, if there was any laxity in performing their duty.

However, this is a case of at most, an ‘alleged’ rape. At the minimum, rape has not been proven, despite desperate attempts of some to show so. It was certainly not included in the original complaints and reporting of the case. Whether there was a caste angle to the assault which resulted in the death is not yet known, though most of the media and politicians have already pronounced at as ‘Gangrape of a Dalit by 4 upper caste people’. But here we must see a case of 2018 of Mumbai of real rape, which was very heinous, and it was not just a sex crime, but a crime motivated by religion too.

A Muslim man in India’s financial capital and biggest city Mumbai held a 27-year-old engineer girl captive and sexually assaulted her for two-and-a-half months. He also tonsured her head after she refused to marry him and convert to Islam. He showed her videos of evangelist Zakir Naik. He showed her mobile phone videos of him sexually assaulting her and started to blackmail her. Initially, he kept her confined to his home during which he repeatedly raped her and also beat her with a leather belt. He took away her debit card and withdrew Rs. 40,000 from her account. This happened in India, not in Pakistan!

And this happens very often in India, to women at the hands of Muslims. Can anyone imagine a Hindu man in Pakistan doing this to a Muslim woman? Or for that matter, a Hindu man doing this to a Muslim woman even in India? Had such an incident happened to a Muslim woman at the hand of a Hindu man in India, the national media would have outraged, followed by the world media. But since the religions of the rapist and victim were inconvenient, the media almost totally suppressed this case. The media also reported this case only as if it was a mere sex crime, whereas it was a case of fanaticism, trying to forcibly convert the girl to Islam and show her propaganda videos of Zakir Naik. Pathetic whitewashing of Muslim fanaticism by the media.

How do we know she was a Hindu who he tried to forcibly convert? From these sentences in the report of The Hindustan Times dated 4 September 2018, which is an extremely anti-Hindu and pro-Muslim newspaper:

“The man used the video to confine the 27-year-old woman in his house for 10 days where he raped her multiple times, shot and re-shot several videos of the rape and physically and mentally tortured her to change her religion. [This reads as ‘Forcibly convert her to Islam’, the courage of Leftist-minded ‘secularist’ newspapers like The Hindustan Times fails when it comes to explicitly stating this fact.] The victim met the accused in March on a dating site. After the two became friends, the accused invited the woman to his apartment in a plush society on June 15 to celebrate a festival. [This festival was Eid, which the newspaper conveniently does not mention, but The Times of India mentioned it.]

The accused sedated the woman by offering her a sweet dish. He then raped her and shot nude photos and videos of her. The next day, he threatened her to accept his demands failing which he would upload the photos and videos on social media. The accused claimed that he was in love with the woman and wanted to marry her. The accused also forced her to watch videos of controversial evangelists [This reads ‘Zakir Naik’, which The Hindustan Times cannot gather courage to mention] and beat her if she did not follow the verses. The accused said he had two passports, including a Pakistani passport [An Indian having two passports is a big crime and the other passport being of Pakistan which is India’s enemy country is a huge offence], and showed her photo of a man seated on a chair surrounded by weapons such as bombs, police said. The accused even made the woman write suicide notes and also took her signatures on blank papers.”

The report of The Times of India, another extremely anti-Hindu and pro-Muslim newspaper, of 4 September 2018 was:

“27-year-old held captive, raped for 2 months

Mumbai : A 27-year-old engineer was held captive and sexually assaulted for two-and-a-half months by an Andheri [Andheri is a locality in Mumbai, India’s financial capital] resident, who also tonsured her head after she refused to marry him. The woman finally managed to escape to a relative’s house in Pune [Pune is a big Indian city, 150 km away from Mumbai] last week and lodged a complaint, after which the accused, Sayyed Amir Hussain alias Seroj Khan (27), was arrested from his Milat Nagar flat in Andheri (West) on Monday.

Police said the woman was drugged by the accused when she visited his home in mid June. The woman, who had shifted to the city [Mumbai] from Goa last year, had allegedly befriended Hussain through a social networking site. “When she visited Hussain’s home, he offered a sweet laced with some drugs, and sexually assaulted her. When she regained consciousness, Hussain showed her mobile phone videos of him sexually assaulting her and started to blackmail her. Initially, he kept her confined to his home till June 30, during which he repeatedly raped her and also beat her with leather belt. He took away her debit card and withdrew Rs. 40,000 from her account,” said an officer from Oshiwara police station [in Mumbai].

In her complaint, the woman said that Hussain let her off on June 30. “However, he kept following me. On July 3 called me and told me to reach his home else he would circulate the video of sexual assault on social media. He forced me to return to his home on July 3,” she said in her complaint.

According to police, Hussain asked her to marry him, but she refused. “The woman said that he would tie her up and gag her with a cloth and sexually assault her. He also threatened to sell her for flesh trade if she did not marry him. He tonsured her later,” a police officer said. According to the police, Hussain told her that he had targeted two other women similarly in the past.

On August 25, the woman managed to escape from Hussain’s home and reached a relative’s home in Pune. Her relatives then took her to Kothrud police station [in Pune] and lodged an FIR on September 1. “The case has been transferred to our counterpart at Oshiwara who are conducting further probe,” said inspector Appasaheb Shevale of Kothrud police station.

He was produced before the Andheri metropolitan court, which remanded him in police custody till September 10. Police are trying to recover the chemical used to spike the sweet given to her, besides the mobile phone in which the accused allegedly recorded the sexual assaults.

Hussain has been booked for rape (IPC section 376 ), unnatural sex/offences (section 377 ), wrongful confinement (sections 342 and 344 ), outraging modesty (354), robbery (392 ), criminal intimidation (506) and also under the IT Act.

But in the above report The Times of India did not dare to mention that the victim woman was a Hindu, and that the rapist tried to convert her to Islam. The Hindustan Times let slip this fact with a mention that the rapist physically and mentally tortured her to change her religion. Another report of The Times of India dated 8 September 2018 was:

“Neighbours heard cries, kin knew 27-year-old Seroj Khan was raping woman

September 8, 2018

Mumbai : The sexual assault case of a 27-year-old engineer by an Andheri resident [in Mumbai] has got murkier with the police coming to know that the accused’s mother and stepbrother were in the house when he confined the woman and abused her for two months. It was the mother of the accused, Sayyed Hussain alias Seroj Khan (27), who helped the woman escape on August 25 and now, the Oshiwara police is considering making her a witness.

A source said that the mother decided to help the survivor as neighbours had started inquiring about the presence of a woman in the house and screams being heard from the flat. Though she initially denied it, some building children spotted the woman, said the police.

The police said they have found that Khan would stay at home and stepped out only rarely. “He had been threatening his mother and stepbrother too and hence, the duo never interfered in his activities,” said an officer. TOI visited Khan’s house on Tuesday and tried to speak to his mother, who opened the door. But said she will provide whatever details she has to the police.

The survivor told the police that Khan took away her mobile and she was allowed to speak to her mother only on the speaker phone in his presence. She said Khan made her sign a suicide note and five blank papers.

She told the police that she found an opportunity to escape a day after Khan’s pet cat jumped out of his first-floor flat in Millat Nagar and hit a biker. Khan rushed out with his stebrother and took the feline to a vet, who gave her painkillers and asked to get a scan done to check for fractures, the woman mentioned in her FIR.

“On August 25, when the Khan and his stepbrother took the cat for a scan, I requested his mother to let me go as my mother was unwell. She agreed and dropped me off at a bus stop in Andheri on a scooter. I went to the station and later in the night, I took a bus to Pune. I called up my sister and narrated the entire ordeal to her,” she said.

A complaint was registered in Pune on September 1 and Khan was arrested on Monday. He has been sent to police custody till September 10. The police said that they need Khan’s custody interrogate him and recover the mobile which he used to record the sexual assaults on the survivor from June 16 to August 24 at his flat. He also tonsured her when she refused to marry him, said the police.

The woman said that she and Khan met through a social networking app in March 2018 and her ordeal began a day after she went to his house on June 15 for Eid celebrations. [The Times of India somehow had the courage to mention the festival as ‘Eid’ which The Hindustan Times dared not.]

The full report of The Hindustan Times, which tried its best to whitewash the Muslim fanaticism part and hide the fact that it was a Muslim man who tortured woman and tried to forced her to convert, was:

“The Oshiwara police arrested a 27-year-old man who allegedly sedated a woman, raped her and shot a video of it at his residence.

The man used the video to confine the 25-year-old woman in his house for 10 days where he raped her multiple times, shot and re-shot several videos of the rape and physically and mentally tortured her to change her religion.

Such horror cases need to highlighted by the national media for what they are, not mere sex crimes, but crimes of religious fanatics in trying to convert Hindu girls to Islam. This is not an isolated incident. There are so many cases of such Muslims pressurizing Hindu girls to convert to Islam. And ‘seculars’ say India is becoming a ‘Hindu Pakistan’! Far from it, it is becoming an Islamic Pakistan. Can you imagine Hindus in Pakistan killing Muslim women for refusing to convert to Hinduism? Or pressurizing them, mentally and physically torturing them to convert to Hinduism? Forget Pakistan, not a single such case is known to me even in India!

This real rape case should have given at least as much publicity by the media as the Hathras case.

Need of strong focus on prevention of child sexual abuse in schools under National Education Policy-2020

0

New reforms in the National Education Policy 2020 aim to address the aspirational goals of 21st century, keeping in mind the sustainable development goals by putting much emphasis on creative potential of an individual, holding the country’s traditional and value systems as foundational blocks.

NEP20 sets for an individual to develop not only cognitive capacities but also social, ethical, and emotional capacities and dispositions. Highlighted in NEP 8.11 which mentions safety and rights of a girl child and the abuses based on substance and gender based violence primarily. It intents for the need to develop such processes which are effective and are measured.

This article therefore focuses on the measures taken worldwide for the safety of girl child from early childhood to adolescent years which we should expect by our country to include safeguarding female children against social, emotional and physical trauma they have been facing during their school days, either in boarding schools where the chances of assault are more and day scholar students who are subjected to molestation as well. According to a 2018 research CSA (Child Sexual Abuse)– contact, non contact and forced-draws attention to the magnitude and severity of the ongoing epidemic in India. The reviewed literature estimates that 4–41% of the girls and 10–55% of the boys in school and college samples have experienced one form (contact, on-contact, forced) of CSA in India.

Unfortunately the above figures are just the fractions of reported cases, large number of cases in India go unreported for the stigma associated with it, leading to the prolonged mental trauma in a girl child affecting her future self in several ways. (Child Abuse Study 2007 by Government of India) shows that 1 in 2 children in India experience some form of sexual abuse, of which 60% happens at schools.

Therefore, it is critical that for prevention of child sexual abuse various measures should be taken up involving government and other stakeholders at the ground level, including communities at school and society at large. One of the primary strategies that is most effective in the prevention of child sexual abuse is school-based educational programs.

NEP -1986 on the same grounds sighted the need for Safety Measures for female students, to be implemented largely in rural areas. Which includes, preferring and recruiting female teachers at school level to build the confidence in parents, reluctant to send the girls to the school.

Also included the NIEPA and appropriate state level agencies, to establish a program to sensitize teachers, trainers, planners and administrators on women’s issues as a major program through in-service training and refresher courses.

NIEPA should also have a strong cell for planning and execution of these programs.

NIEPA entails a sexual harassment committee constituted under it, addressing the prevailing safety issues, but statistics show that assault against girl child at schools have only increased, reported until 2010. Residential Schools are at higher risk of  these unfortunate events when children are not under the protection of their parents directly.

Since, CSA is the issue pertaining in both rural and urban schools, there is an indispensable need to combat these challenges in educational institutions besides the various NGOs addressing and working towards it.

There are various measures taken in other countries facing the unfortunate situation on similar grounds for adolescents which includes

  1. The role of teachers to take a stand against inappropriate behaviors, when reported and realize that harassment is not an acceptable adolescent behavior. Report it to the Parents and implement plants to educate students, themselves and parents.
  2. Setting up a cell in the school itself to report the CSA cases by the parents or adolescent Students against a faculty or peer.
  3. Emphasize on the matter by welcoming guest speakers and educate on the various Aspects of CSA.
  4. Appointing counselors at School at unhesitant reach to discuss and further deal with Mental trauma. Unless unresolved emotional wounds can lead to various other higher mentally damaging symptoms later in life.
  5. Report peer harassment : the student must learn to be Strong and assertive and should be asked to stop when it crosses boundaries. The bystanders should be moral spectators and speak when they watch certain things happening around the school.

Safety measures for a girl child up to the age of 10: Identifying and protecting the children at an early childhood age is challenging since they are innocent, not aware of the CSA- signs and are not educated on Sexual assault. Still when subjected, it leaves a harmful impact on the overall personality of the child. While a lot of measures can be taken by school but Parents can play a crucial role for protecting children from a very young age. Further to the Signs and symptoms, Parents are ought to be aware of certain physical and Behavioral signs which can indicate the assault. Schools in this matter should therefore  take an initiative to train the parents to teach their child to identify and report the CSA.
  6. Adolescence:  India largely still breathes within the boundaries of patriarchal societies and to address the abuse and exploitation of women and girls, there is an urgent need to understand  the situation  better and control the unwanted behaviors.

According to a research, Girls in adolescence are subjected to the below most common listed behavior making school time an unpleasant/uncomfortable/traumatic experience.

  1. Eve teasing and molestation prevailing mostly in the suburbs and by peers or the people. On the way to and from school making education a frightening experience, increasing the dropout rates.
  2. Differently abled girls become the  soft target for people from outside coming to the school or even the support staff,”
  3. Dirty Rumouring/conspiration/bullying and negative peer pressure often hinders a healthy education environment, leaving a drastic impact on a student’s overall development.
  4. Fear to raise the voices as they are generally hushed or damped to protect a school’s
    reputation.
The need is to have policies under child protection which can strengthen the safety around CSA , which includes strong training and background verification for the school staff, Sex education, and impromptu  Surveys to have a check on Educational Institutes , and premises equipped with Surveillance devices.

How BJP rescued Kashmir

The independence of India from the British Empire was marked by its partition into two countries, viz India and Pakistan. As a corollary to independence and partition of India, 500‐odd princely states which had direct relationship with the British Empire were required to integrate with either India or Pakistan — the successor states. The process of integration of princely states was not without its highs and lows. Some of the princely states, like Hyderabad, Junagarh and Jammu and Kashmir, posed quite a few problems at the time of integration for several reasons, namely the inclination of its rulers, the religious component of the local population and the competing interests of the two successor states, India and Pakistan. Hyderabad and Junagarh were favourably resolved in India’s favour. Integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India was not a smooth affair. It was only after Pakistan‐aided forces including the Pakistan army had invaded Jammu and Kashmir that the then ruler of Jammu and Kashmir signed the instrument of accession in India’s favour. With the instrument of accession, India had a locus standi to protect its territory in Jammu and Kashmir.I still put a name on what I discern from many old aged people in my village that how Pakistani Tribal Army persecuted Kashmiris, Raped many women’s and did larceny of Gold, Silver and other essential items in 1948.However, it was the brave Indian Army Jawans who fought against Coward Pakistani Tribals and emancipated Kashmir from that Horror. This was not the last but till now they are putting efforts to devastate Kashmir by thrusting Insurgents, providing Hawala money to separatists to activate civil agitations & using cyber medium to Brain wash youth and Swindle them in the name of JIHAD. The rationale behind all this was a non- success and egoistic agreement which led to the incorporation of Article 370 and Article 35A in Indian Constitution.

These two Articles proved as fuel to the fire and provided bonus to Pakistan to satisfy it’s malicious aims and also recognised separatist wings in J&K. it was behind the exodus of Pandit’s from Kashmir, terrorism, civil Agitations, devastation and other consequences in Kashmir. The Genisis of Article 370 spawns inequality not only in India but its ramifications also forge inequality within J&K and therefore it’s retention was not only threat to the national sovereignty but also implies festering of contentious issues.

Article 370 was not only violating the fundamental rights of a women if he got married to a non state subject holder by denying her from property rights but, was also ignoring valmik samaj, Gujar Bakarwals, Gorkhas, west Pakistani refugees, from basic human rights. It was also creating a nation within a nation and was acting as a barrier between the centre and state instead of a bridge. So, it’s abrogation was the need of an hour. The BJP led government always put efforts to provide relief to the people of J&k whom has been the victims of pakistani terrorism since from a long Ago. On 05 August 2019, finally Article 370 and 35A was repealed and it proved as an appropriate remedial approach to all those wounds and ended up all the miseries suffered by the people of J&K.

Since from the day it has been abrogated, there has been 36 % decline in terror incidents, 40% decline of local recruitment in militant groups, No strike calls and led to the strength of democratic set up at Gross root level. There is now huge rush of people in mainstream politics. The employment generation and development is at zenieth.

The minority and marginalized groups got justice and the creadit for all this revolution goes to BJP led centre government who made efforts to give a shape to the sacrifice of shyma prasad mukherji to make the nation happy and strong India.

SSR death-Bollywood downfall

0

Sushant Singh Rajput’s (SSR’s) death is a special case-study, in matters pertaining to Bollywood super-stars particularly: on the glamour, the luxury, the heavy pay-packs the actors (unduly) get, the producers milking money from the poor for what they invest- like in no other field, the industry status given to Bollywood, the behaviour of the high-class circle, their parties filled with booze and taking the prohibited drugs and last but not the least their aping of Hollywood (the western film world).

Since All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in its final report ruling out that there was no trace of poison or indications of marks of forcible death on SSR’s body, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday (5th Oct.) said that it had not ruled out abetment to suicide angle and all other aspects of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s (SSR’s) death. In any case, The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) could conduct their probe in the drugs angle and money laundering respectively, as they are also matters of importance. However, Rhea should be grilled on abetment to suicide angle, as she was in relationship with SSR that soured only just days before his death.

SSR was murdered, not committed suicide— is the popular perception of many people. There is some meaning in it, if his immediate family people hold this view. For, family members have an emotional attachment towards the dead. It is difficult for them to reconcile with the reality in any case. It is often seen, generally, the family members complaining about some goof-up in the hospital or some kind of wrong doing/ diagnosis/ treatment that led to their dear one’s departure.

By watching the TV channels that have been espousing the SSR Death’s-cause passionately, the audience took to the family angle of emotion. Of course, the dedicated watchers of those channels sincerely, adopted the same, as it touches their chord.  Multi-faceted views are always better in these mysterious cases. No one theory-adherence is good. A suspicious death has many sides. The all-sided presentations by TV channels are useful, as they call expert panellists to explore the possibilities. Because of SSR-tragic death, the Narcotics Bureau which has been on sloth in nabbing the menace has become active. The creepy net-work of narcotic drugs (their smuggling and dispersal stealthily) has jolted the consciousness of people. Now, the department with this probe of SSR gets the kind of information that it never had before.

It is shameful to see the actors and actresses taking to drugs illicitly, when the poor man on the street is paying their bills. They could have used their extra money for the larger good of the poor. What in essence do they get by their hi-fi parties with artificial smiles; superficial friendly hugs though harbouring hostility and rivalry with their peers most often? This all hypocrisy.

Once they become big actors, they live in a surreal world with no connect with the man on the street. These actors’ looks, manners, the language they talk on the movies are all artificial. Most of them have dubbed voice, because they cannot speak in their own language. For, most of them adopted English as their mother-tongue. That is how it works for them in their high society. Their mother- tongue is the other-tongue for them! Once they are in this high class society, they try to maintain the same, even after their shelf-live period is over in cinemas. Nothing wrong. But what is in them for youngsters to emulate? The youth of India assume, by seeing their roles, to be them, in reality. They play Desi-roles to bullshit them. In their real lives they are far-removed.

The other day Jaya Bachchan questioned in (recently held) Rajya Sabha session that some TV channels had been causing damage to the image of Cinema Industry and the Industry did quite a lot to the country. What is that quite a lot? According to her huge sums of money the actors/actresses donate whenever floods and natural calamities befell on the country. The other reason: the industry is providing employment to many workers, be it to make-up men, lights-men, those that make settings and other extras. Her two claims could be contested. In the Cinema-Industry (to call it an Industry is a misnomer in any case) the big beneficiaries are the actors. Whether the movie becomes a hit or not they would get the big-fat money (an ordinary man would not get, even if he works throughout his life). If the movie flops the actor’s worry is, whether he/she would get the next movie or not. For, a producer a hit is a hit and a flop is flop financially. However, one good hit would compensate the other flops. So that would not make much of a difference in his life-style. What do the cameramen and other workers get? They get ordinary wages like outside workers. They don’t share the bounty like the producer and actors. Where is the equality/near equality? If the so-called Cinema Industry winds up, those bigwigs are at a loss. Jaya Bacchan cited that they donate money for calamities. That is but natural for any industrialist or businessmen who earn quite a lot in this country. Actors are no less than businessmen. Acting is a lucrative profession. So, the actors in their place promote their children and grandchildren in the field.

In Covid-19, after the ban of Chinese app Tiktok, many Indian apps have come into field and people are watching short films in them. People are enjoying at home without spending money and without wasting much time. This is the way forward. After finding the vaccine, even if normal life is restored, there is every possibility for another virus to surface threatening life. So, it is always dangerous to sit in closed air-conditioned theatres and watch movies. Instead, small actors, those play on small screens, to display their talents are to be encouraged. So, one could bid good-bye to Bollywood.
