श्रावण माह के बाद प्रमुख त्यौहारों और उत्सवों का दौर शुरू हो जाता है। इसके बाद आश्विन माह में १५ दिनों तक पितृ पूजन वाला कार्यक्रम चलता है। पितृ पूजन वाले कार्यक्रम के बाद शारदीय नवरात्रकी शुरुआत हो जाती है। नौ दिनों तक चलने वाला यह पर्व बेहद हर्षोल्लास व पूरे धूम धाम से मनाया जाता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्री राम ने भी रावण वध से पहले त्रेतायुग में शारदीय नवरात्र के नौ दिनों तक माँ दुर्गा की पूजा की थी और विजयी होने का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त कर विजयदशमी को रावण का वधकिया था।
उपरोक्त कारण के चलते ही दशहरा हमारे सनातन धर्म में यानि हिन्दू धर्म के लोगों का एक अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण त्यौहार है। और जैसा आप सभी जानते ही हैं कि दशहरा वाला उत्सव पूरे उत्साह व उमंग के साथ केवल उत्तर भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे देश में हिन्दू धर्म के लोगों द्वारा लगातार दस दिन तक बड़े ही धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। चूँकि यह त्यौहार पूरे दस दिन तक चलता है इसलिये ही इसे दशहरा कहते हैं जिसमें पहले नौ दिन तक माँ दुर्गा महिषसुर मर्दिनी की पूजा की जाती है , दसवें दिन लोग असुर राजा रावण का पुतला जला कर मनाते हैं जो बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत को तो प्रदर्शित करता ही है साथ ही साथ पाप पर पुण्य की जीत को भी।
अब आप सभी के ध्याननार्थ प्रस्तुत है तीन रोचक जानकारी —
1] हमारे यहाँ एक कहावत बहुत मशहूर है और वो है – दसे दशहरा, बीसे दिवाली, छऊवे छठ!
जैसा आप सभी जानते ही हैं कि शारदीय नवरात्र के एकम से ठीक दसवें दिन विजयादशमी या दशहरा उत्सव मनाया जाता है और विजयादशमी जिस दिन मनाई जाती है उसके ठीक बाद बीसवें दिन हिंदुओं का सबसे प्रमुख पर्व दीपावली मनायी जाती है। ठीक इसी क्रम में दीपावली से ठीक 6 दिन बाद बिहार, झारखण्ड, पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश और नेपाल के तराई क्षेत्रों में प्रसिद्ध पर्व छठ मनाया जाता है।
2] प्रति वर्ष दशहरे से ठीक 21 वें दिन ही दीपावली क्यों आती है? क्या कभी आपने इस पर विचार किया है। विश्वास न हो तो कैलेंडर देख लीजिएगा।
रामायण में वाल्मिकी ऋषि ने लिखा है कि प्रभु श्री राम को अपनी पूरी सेना को श्रीलंका से अयोध्या तक पैदल चलकर आने में 504 घंटे लगे!
अब हम 504 घंटे को 24घंटे से भाग दें तो उत्तर 21 आता है यानी इक्कीस दिन!
मुझे भी आश्चर्य हुआ। कुछ भी बताया है यह सोचकर कौतूहल वश गूगल मैप पर सर्च किया। और उसमें यानि गूगल दर्शाता है कि श्रीलंका से अयोध्या की पैदल दूरी 3145 किलोमीटर और लगने वाला समय 504 घंटे।
है न आश्चर्यजनक बात।
हम भारतीयों का दशहरा और दीपावली वाला त्यौहार त्रेतायुग से चला आ रहा है, और हम इन त्यौहारों को परम्परानुसार मनाते आ रहे हैं। समय के इस गणित पर आपको विश्वास न हो रहा हो तो गूगल सर्च कर देख सकते हैं क्योंकि वर्तमान समय में गूगल मैप को पूरी तरह विश्वनीय माना जाता है।
3- तीसरी एक रोचक जानकारी और जान लें वो इस प्रकार है – ऐसा पढ़नें में आया है कि ऋषि वाल्मिकीजी ने तो रामायण की रचना श्रीराम के जन्म से पहले ही कर दी थी! उनकी भविष्यवाणी और आगे घटने वाली घटनाओं का वर्णन एकदम सटीक रहा था।
अन्त में यह ही बताना चाहता हूँ कि हम सब ये सारे पर्व कई सारे रीति-रिवाज और पूजा-पाठ के द्वारा मनाते हैं। नवरात्र में अनेक भक्त कहिये या धार्मिक लोग पूरे दिन व्रत रखते हैं यानि देवी दुर्गा का आशीर्वाद और शक्ति पाने के लिये इसमें पूरे नौ दिन तक व्रत रखते हैं जबकि कुछ लोग इसमें पहले और आखिरी दिन व्रत रखते हैं ।दसवें दिन लोग असुर राजा रावण पर प्रभु श्री राम की जीत के उपलक्ष्य में दशहरा मनाते हैं।दशहरे के बाद से ही व्यापक स्तर पर मनाये जाने वाले दीपावली की तैयारियां शुरू हो जाती है क्योंकि दीपावली वाले दिन ही प्रभु श्रीराम, माता सीता और भ्राता लक्ष्मण के साथ चौदह वर्ष का वनवास पूर्ण कर अयोध्या लौटे थे। और दीपावली के बाद पारिवारिक सुख-समृद्धी तथा मनोवांछित फल प्राप्ति के लिए मनाया जाने वाला सूर्योपासना का अनुपम लोकपर्व छठ पूजा, जो वैसे तो मुख्य रूप से बिहार, झारखण्ड, पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश और नेपाल के तराई क्षेत्रों में मनाया जाने वाला त्यौहार है लेकिन आजकल सम्पूर्ण भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों में रहने वाले सभी वर्ग के भारतीय भी बड़े ही विश्वास के साथ यह पर्व उतने ही उत्साह,उमंग व धूमधाम से मनाने लगे हैं जैसा भारत में मनाया जाता है।
उपरोक्त सभी तथ्यों के मद्देनजर ही हम बड़े गर्व से कहते हैं कि हमारी अपनी सनातन हिन्दू संस्कृति बहुत महान है साथ ही साथ ऐसी महान हिन्दू संस्कृति में जन्म लेने पर हम अपने को भाग्यशाली भी मानते हैं।

अपने उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए समय के साथ संघ ने सामाजिक समरसता, ग्राम विकास, कुटुंब प्रबोधन, पर्यावरण व जल संरक्षण जैसी अन्यान्य गतिविधियां शुरू की हुई है, राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ की यात्रा को देखते हैं तो पाते हैं कि हर पड़ाव, हर संघर्ष के बाद इसकी आभा और निखरती गई। राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ का वास्तविक कार्य राष्ट्र के उत्थान के लिए समाज को अनुशासित, संस्कारित व राष्ट्र भक्त बनाते हुए उन्नति के शिखर की ओर लेकर जाने का है, राष्ट्र व समाज पर आने वाली हर विपदा में स्वयंसेवकों द्वारा सेवा के कीर्तिमान खड़े किये गये हैं। संघ ने सम्पूर्ण भारतीय समाज को एक नई दिशा प्रदान की है, जिसने राष्ट्र जीवन की उस दशा को बदल डाला है जिसके कारण भारत निरंतर हजारों वर्षों तक विदेशियों के हाथों पराजित होता रहा।
गरीबी की रेखा से नीचे रहने वाले लोग, वनवासी, गिरिवासी, झुग्गी-झोपडियों व मलिन बस्तियों में रहने वाले लोगों का दु:ख दर्द बांटने, उनमें आत्मविश्वास निर्माण करने, उनके शैक्षिक व आर्थिक स्तर को सुधारने के लिए भी सेवा भारती, सेवा प्रकल्प संस्थान, वनवासी कल्याण आश्रम व अन्य विभिन्न संस्थानों द्वारा आज भी हजारों स्वयंसेवक लगे हुए है । राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के मोर्चे पर हर बार स्वयंसेवक खरे उतरे हैं संघ का इतिहास ,नि:स्वार्थ देश सेवा ,त्याग, तपस्या, बलिदान, सेवा व समर्पण का इतिहास है, अन्य कुछ नहीं है एक बार सेना के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा था -”राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ भारत का रक्षक भुजदंड है।” संघ शाखाओं व संघ के विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों में गाए जाने वाले एकात्मता स्त्रोत, एकता मंत्र और गीतों में भारतीय संस्कृति, राष्ट्रीय एकता, सामाजिक सौहार्द और राष्ट्र की आध्यात्मिक परंपराओं के दर्शन होते हैं .राष्ट्रीय महापुरुषों का स्मरण करते हुए संघ के स्वयंसेवक भारत माता की वंदना करते हैं. नित्य राष्ट्र साधना (प्रतिदिन की शाखा) व समय-समय पर किये गये कार्यों व व्यक्त विचारों के कारण ही दुनियां की नजर में संघ राष्ट्रशक्ति बनकर उभरा है।
इस परिप्रेक्ष्य में देखा जाए तो राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ इस देश की राष्ट्रीय आवश्यकता है। हिन्दू संगठन को नकारना, उसे संकुचित आदि कहना राष्ट्रीय आवश्यकता की अवहेलना करना ही है। संघ के स्वयंसेवक अपने राष्ट्रीय कर्तव्य का पालन कर रहे हैं, संघ की प्रतिदिन लगने वाली शाखा व्यक्ति के शरीर, मन, बुध्दि, आत्मा के विकास की व्यवस्था तथा उसका राष्ट्रीय मन बनाने का प्रयास होता है। ऐसे कार्य को अनर्गल बातें करके किसी भी तरह लांक्षित करना उचित नहीं है या संघ के कार्य को किसी पंथ या मत विरोधी कहना संगठन की मूल भावना के ही विरुद्ध हो जायेगा ,क्योंकि हिन्दू के मूल स्वभाव उदारता व सहिष्णुता के कारण दुनिया के सभी मत-पंथों को भारत में प्रवेश व प्रश्रय मिला है, हिन्दू संगठन शब्द सुनकर जिनके मन में इस प्रकार के पूर्वाग्रह बन गये हैं उनके लिए संघ को समझना कठिन ही होगा, तब उनके द्वारा संघ जैसे प्रखर राष्ट्रवादी संगठन को, राष्ट्र के लिए समर्पित संगठन को संकुचित, साम्प्रदायिक आदि शब्द प्रयोग आश्चर्यजनक नहीं है। क्योंकि संघ आज अपने स्वयंसेवकों के पसीने के अमृत बूंद के साथ अपनी स्थापना के 100 वर्ष की ओर अग्रसर हो रहा है इतने लंबे कालखंड को देखकर सत्यार्थ है रोज की तपस्या एंव साधना का ही नाम राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ है।

मुंबई क्रूज ड्रग्स मामले में शाहरुख खान के बेटे आर्यन खान (Aryan Khan) की जमानत को लेकर कोर्ट में आज सुनवाई हो गई है लेकिन अदालत ने आर्यन खान को जमानत नहीं दी।
अब अगली सुनवाई 20 तारीख को होगी। लेकिन आज एक बहुत बड़ा खुलासा हुआ। सरकारी वकीलों का कहना है कि आर्यन लंबे समय से ड्रग्स की चपेट में था।
भले ही आर्यन के पास से ड्रग्स बरामद नहीं हुई, लेकिन वह ड्रग्स का सेवन करता रहा है। वह ड्रग पैडलर के संपर्क में भी था। इस मामले में आर्यन ने पहले ही कबूल किया है कि वह चार साल से ड्रग्स का सेवन कर रहा है।
आर्यन खान को जमानत देनी है या नही, जज वीवी पाटिल ने अपना फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया है। इस मामले की अगली सुनवाई 20 अक्टूबर को होगी।
जज वीवी पाटिल ने कहा कि वो 20 अक्टूबर को भी बिजी हैं। लेकिन वे कोशिश करेंगे कि उस दिन जमानत पर सुनवाई कर पाएं।
जेल मे परेशान है आर्यन –
जेल के सूत्रों के हवाले से पता चला है कि आर्यन खान जेल के अंदर बहुत परेशान हो रहे हैं इन्हें आर्थर रोड स्थित जेल में रखा गया है, जेल के अंदर आराम न मिलने के कारणवश वह अक्सर टेंशन में और परेशान से नजर आते हैं।
जेल के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि उन्हें जेल के अंदर एडजस्ट करने में समय लगेगा , जेल के अंदर दुनिया एकदम अलग होती है बता दें कि आर्यन खान और बाकी के आरोपियों को सिक्योरिटी वजह के कारण अलग-अलग बैरक में रखा गया है।
क्रूज शिप ड्रग्स केस में गिरफ्तार किए सभी आरोपियों को साथ नहीं रखा गया है सभी छह आरोपी, आर्यन खान समेत अलग-अलग बैरक में रखे गए हैं, इन सभी को 14 अक्टूबर के दिन साधारण बैरक में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया है।

Today, when a passionate journalist engraves any news, then that news passes through the high officials and others, in the course of time, it dies or gets buried under the intention of getting profit. In such a situation, even a journalist who performs his work with passion, seeing the water on hard work, starts earning money only by completing the quorum of making news.
This changing nature of journalism is not only responsible for the nature and needs of the journalist, but our readers are also responsible for it. Which has changed so much with this changing environment that it has separated the words of newspapers and journalists from the feelings of a penman. The result of this is that today the journalist cannot write anything of his own free will because he is the slave of his reader and he has to write what his reader wants. Apart from this, even if a journalist, showing his vitality, makes up his mind to expose the facts from the news, then that news adorns the dustbin by offering the principles of the newspaper group and the bidding of advertisements. If by filtering these things, that news is filtered and saved along with the basic things, then somewhere that news can be printed on the page. In such a situation, the said journalist thanks God that the news got published, but the honesty and hard work of the journalist towards this news is left behind and takes its place by the commitment of the editor and higher officials.
Today’s journalism is under pressure from the market and business. Due to which the media has deviated from its foundation of making people aware and the form of paid news has emerged in a grand manner. The increasing trend of ‘paid news in the media is not only dangerous for the country and society but also for journalism. Paid news is not a disease but a symptom of a disease. Its origin lies elsewhere. There is a need to think positively in this direction. Media has become an influential part of society but today the influence of capitalists is increasing on this pillar, which is fatal for the country and society.
Today’s media has influenced society so much that it can put anyone in the ranks of king and rank. But the irony is that even after having so much power, the media has to listen to criticism from all sides because its direction is confused or it should be said that it has absorbed the negativity itself. To say that journalism is the fourth pillar of the country. Newspaper, which works to keep an eye on the important pillars of the country like the judiciary, legislature, and executive, has turned away from its original work today. Journalism, which performed its role among the people under the mission in its beginning, also changed with time as a changing profession. This period of change did not stop here, in the present time the nature of journalism has emerged in the form of commission. In such a situation, it is not right to see today’s journalism in any way with the mission and ambition of the past. Change is the law of nature and media is also following the same. Perhaps the change of the present is that journalists expressing their opinion on a particular issue are seen as nationalistic, communist, or foreign in other sections.
If present-day journalism is to be defined, then it can be termed as an undertaking to vigorously spread the continuous sequence of selling human sensibilities. Whether it is a newspaper or a news channel, there is a war of TRP among themselves, due to which only social inequality is getting a chance to flourish apart from social concerns. The conceit of power and the feeling of being self-appointed has made the media today seem to play the role of a judge rather than a social watchdog. This trend of media has changed the attitude of readers towards news. Now the media is busy serving its views among the readers instead of giving information.
Journalism itself has a lot of importance. That is why journalism is also called the fourth pillar of democracy. At the same time, due to journalism, the social and political structure is basically working. It is through journalism that the work of bringing news to the people is done.

If we talk about an incident and it can completely bring down one’s dignity and expose the exploits done by him, but if the way of reporting that news is changed, then this news will prove to be a boon for the person who That’s wrong. At the same time, there is a competition to show the wrongdoers and those who do wrong things positively in the time of today’s journalism. Due to which the right news does not reach the people. In order to present such news quickly, without taking complete information about that news, broken news is served in front of the people. Due to which wrong facts reach the people.
People are not able to judge whether this news is true or false. But what is shown is what people are forced to believe. But when the real incident is known till the time half incomplete news reaches among the people. Due to which people confirm negative and positive thinking for the person concerned through that news. In such a situation, the joy that journalism is enjoying in the affair of showing the news soon can be called harmful for the time to come.
At present, the standard of journalism has gone down. No one thinks about which news should be conveyed to the people or what people want to see. But just trying to forcibly put that news in the mind of the public. If this kind of journalism is done, it will prove to be a big problem for loyal journalists in the coming times.
The nature of journalism is slowly changing now. In the beginning, people used to believe the news published in the newspaper more.
At the same time, the news published in the newspaper used to be a kind of seal. But gradually people started showing interest in seeing the news published in the newspapers through their eyes.
Due to which TV news started after the newspaper. Through TV news, people started seeing the happenings through their eyes. Due to this, TV news channels gained momentum. People on TV started showing interest in watching that incident through video. At the same time, more importance was given to the news running on TV. If there was any scam or some politician did this, then the gestures of that leader started being served to the people only through TV.

When people started getting news on their mobile phones, people once again got disillusioned with TV news channels. Wherever people sat, they started keeping their thoughts in watching the news. At the same time, this thinking of his was once understood by the news channels. After which thousands of social sites and portals were flooded. Now people started getting news on their mobile through the link of these portals.
Due to which his curiosity also started to awaken. Slowly, the fascination with TV channels has reduced in the time of the people. At the same time, people see every news on mobile that they want to see. With this, they also get the news in a quick way. That’s why there has been a different change in the time of journalism. And according to the time and according to the thinking of the people, journalism has changed its nature.
There is an old saying that everything is fair in love and war. But India’s electronic media has also added the term Television Rating Point (TRP) to it. Indian channels have been making their place in the TRP race in the past. After the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and subsequent airstrikes by India on terrorist bases in Pakistan, the manner in which most of the channels tried to incite war hysteria has become a global rage. But the channel people are neither ready to accept their mistake nor to rectify it. The attitude adopted by the electronic media recently has raised questions about its credibility, the race of TRP
Dozens of new channels are raising their heads every year in India. Barring the top five-six of them, the rest of the channels are out of the race for TRP. But the way the top channels are competing for TRP is very shameful. The actors of the channel are ready to go to any level to get the TRP. Recently, during the Indo-Pak tension, a funny situation appeared on these channels. If they were under their control when the war had started. Some used to come on the screen wearing army dresses and some used to sit in cannon. And that too by creating a war room and creating a war scene. But the purpose of these channels was not to incite war, but to increase TRP by creating war hysteria and fill their pockets with its help. And he got a lot of success in it too. This patriotic channel did not forget to take its traditional advertising break amidst all the important news and debates. After the Pulwama attack, the anchors of all the channels started screaming that now it is necessary to teach a lesson to Pakistan. In a race to stand out from each other, these channels have left no stone unturned to defy all established standards of journalism during this period. Some newspapers also kept flowing in this flow. But there were more of them who are known to be close to the ruling BJP.
What is TRP
TRP stands for Television Rating Point. This shows how much the show is being watched. To know the rating of the channel, a special device called People’s Meter is installed in selected places in big cities. The reason for the importance of TRP is that it is directly related to the earnings of a channel. The higher the TRP of the channel, the more money that channel charges for showing advertisements in the middle of its show ie during the break. The channel on which the audience is short gets fewer advertisements due to falling TRP. On the contrary, the channel which gets the highest TRP, its earnings increase rapidly. This is the reason that every week before the release of the TRP figures, the heartbeats of the actors increase in the channels.
These channels, caught in the ever-increasing competition of TRP, do not care much for the criticisms at the national and international levels. “To stay in the race, we have to do what other channels are doing. Should we save our jobs or journalism?” says a senior TV journalist on condition of anonymity. In many channels, the rise and fall of TRP directly affect the jobs of some top people.
“What is seen sells and what sells survives. We have to work on this formula.”
New paradigms of journalism are being created due to TRP and its earnings. Many journalists say, “Channels have lost the content and format too.” One of the biggest advocates of fairness in journalism, Ravish in his recent articles has been repeatedly appealing to the general audience not to watch unnecessary news and sponsored debates on TV.

मदरसों के बारे में मुस्लिम मौलवी बताते है की मदरसों में बच्चों को संस्कार दिए जाते हैं, दीनी तालीम सिखाई जाती है, मदरसा को तालीम का पाक स्थल माना जाता है लेकिन हकीकत तब सामने आती है जब किसी जघन्य अपराध को अंजाम दे दिया जाता है।
ये भी एक मदरसा था जहाँ पर बच्चों को ये कह कर भेजा जाता था कि वहां पर वो पढ़ाई करेंगे और उनको दीन आदि की तालीम मिलेगी, इसके लिए एक मौलाना नियुक्त था जिसको इलाके में सब बड़ा सम्मान दिया करते थे, उनको ये भी नहीं पता था कि उनके मासूम बच्चे बच्चियों के साथ वहां पर वो दानव क्या कर रहा है।
यह घटना है उत्तरप्रदेश के सन्तकबीर नगर जिले के एक मदरसे की। जहाँ मदरसे का मौलवी असल में एक दरिंदा था जिसने मदरसे को कुकर्म का अड्डा बना डाला था और अब आखिरकार बेनकाब हो गया। उस 13 वर्षीय बच्ची के माँ-बाप भी उसको मदरसे में पढने के लिए भेजते थे लेकिन उनको नहीं पता था तालीम की आड़ में मदरसे का मौलाना 6 महीने से उनकी बच्ची के साथ अपनी हवस की भूख मिटा रहा है, जहां मौलवी द्वारा सात वर्षीया बालिका के साथ हैवानियत की गई।
पुलिस ने पीड़िता की मां की तहरीर पर आरोपी मौलवी के खिलाफ दुष्कर्म, पॉक्सो व अन्य धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया है आरोपी की तलाश की जा रही है तहरीर में पीड़िता की मां ने लिखा है कि उसकी बेटी पास के मदरसे में अपने दो भाइयों के साथ पढ़ती है, सोमवार को मदरसे की छुट्टी होने बाद आरोपी मौलवी ने उसके दोनो भाइयों को कलम लेने पास के गांव में भेज दिया। इसके बाद उसने बेटी को अकेला पाकर कमरे में ले जाकर दुष्कर्म किया।
लड़की ने घर आकर अपने परिजनों को बताया। इसके बाद परिजनों ने जब मदरसे में पहुंचकर मौलवी से पूछना चाहा तो वह फरार हो गया। इसकी सूचना उसने फोन और तहरीर के जरिए पुलिस को दी, पुलिस ने आरोपी मौलवी मुस्ताक निवासी ग्राम बलुहिया थाना खेसरहा के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर उसकी तलाश शुरू कर दी है। इस बारे में थाना प्रभारी ने कहा कि आरोपी मौलवी के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर उसकी तलाश शुरू कर दी गई है जल्द ही गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेजा जाएगा।
India from decades under the rule of congress stayed to be a non-aligned nation with a fewer number of diplomatic ties. Its foreign policy changed from a dormant one to proactive one, with initiatives taken to develop ties with the neighbouring countries, initiatives to safeguard security, participate globally in various issues (like climatic change, use of renewable source of energy). It participated as a member in various organizations (like permanent membership in United Nations, NSG group, etc..,).
With a vision of Vasudhaika Kutumbam (the world is one family) under the NDA government led by Shri PM Narendra Modi raised the concept of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. The image of India is raised during his rule. He had made 109 visits to nearly 61 countries. Even at the time of swearing in ceremony as Prime minister almost all of the SAARC leaders were present in the year 2014. After swearing as Prime minister, Modiji within first 100 days extended friendship hand to neighbouring countries to maintain cordial relation and the then external Affairs Ministry published a booklet called “Fast track diplomacy” describing the achievement made in foreign policy. External Affairs minister described this policy had 3 faces- proactive, strong and sensitive.
Role in United Nations:
In the United Nations general assembly summit in United states in September 26-30, 2014, Modi addressed the UN assembly and pitched for the start of world YOGA Day and importance of YOGA. With his efforts International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21st June since its inception in 2014. Also, India has pleaded for international equality day marking the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to combat inequalities. India is a member of G4 and G77 nations in UN. Recently India has been included in UN security council for the eighth time. India has become the president of the security council in August 2021 and had pitched upon maritime security, peace -keeping and counter terrorism.
Neighbourhood first policy:
India always tried to work together with the neighbouring nations and planned to develop policies which can help each other. As soon as Narendra Modiji took charge as Prime minister, he tried to nullify the strained relations with Pakistan and China by making multiple visits and bringing them to confidence. In June 2015, landmark Motor vehicles agreement for unsurpassed movement of road traffic operations was signed between India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. In May 2017, ISRO launched South Asia satellite to provide communication services in South Asia region.
During the 19th South Asian Association for regional cooperation (SAARC) summit in 2016 after the Uri attack, India decided to pull out of the meeting which was to be held in Pakistan, later other 5 countries stood with the cause and boycotted the summit (Afghanistan, Bhutan, Srilanka, Bangladesh and Maldives). With the issues faced with SAARC, India decided to move ahead with BIMSTEC (bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) which includes- India, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Bhutan.
Shri Narendra Modiji tried to make a cordial relation with Nepal by visiting the country on 3rd August 2014. The last visit was by shri. I.K Gujral 17 years ago in 1997. He was the first foreign leader to address in parliament of Nepal after it accepted democracy. India decided to fund for hydroelectricity projects in Nepal and other infrastructure projects.
India had put an end to the long standing 68 year old dispute with Bangladesh by passing Land Boundary agreement. In 2015, one more major issue regarding the people living in enclaves at the border are given option to stay either with India or Bangladesh. Thus, 15,193 people became new Indian citizens. India also helped Bangladesh by developing pipeline to supply 4 lakh tonnes of diesel. Under the leadership of Modiji, India helped Afghanistan to develop India-Afghanistan friendship dam, the Salma dam which has a capacity to produce 42 MW of power and irrigation for 75,000 hectares of farmland. Also, a new Parliament complex was constructed for Afghan government worth INR 710 crore which was opened in 25 December 2015. As Pakistan refused to allow land access for air travel, 2 air corridors were facilitated along Afghanistan.
Also, India planned to invest $100 million in expansion of Chabahar port in southeast Iran to help in transportation of transit goods from central Asia and Afghanistan to India. India is assisting Iran with the help of BRO (border roads organization) to build a highway between Zaranj and Delaram of length of 213 kms. India is assisting about 8,000 students who are studying in India under “study in India” programme.
India is the first country to recognize Maldives after its independence in 1965. On 17 December 2018, India announced a financial assistance package of US$1.4 billion and also offered additional 1000 scholarships over the next 5 years. As part of Cooperation in the field of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Male city council was gifted 2500 LED street lights and 2 lakh LED bulbs. An aggrement was signed to launch Rupay card in Maldives and an “make in India” vessel named “KAAMIYAB” gifted to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). India has trained over 1250 MNDF trainees over the past 10 years and have offered 175 training vacancies in 2019‐20.
India is building the National college for policing and law enforcement in Addu, under an Indian grant of US$ 33 million. India had also helped Maldives in tough times like Wakashio oil spill where India sent 30 tonnes of technical equipment and material. Operation Neer- when fire accident at Male water and sewerage company occurred leading to deficiency of drinking water, Indian INS Sukanya, INS Deepak, C-17 Globemaster-III and IL-76 carried water to Male by Indian Navy and air forces. A joint military exercise ‘Ekuverin’ was conducted between India and Maldives.
Look east policy to Act east policy:
Look east policy was initiated in 1991 to strategically counter influence of China in this region an act east policy in 2014 was initiated. With more than 50% of Indian trade occurring Malacca strait its necessary for India to improve relations with ASEAN countries. By being a member of Mekong-Ganga cooperation India developed ties with Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. India and Myanmar agreed for 4 lane road with a length of 3200 Kms connecting India, Myanmar and Thailand. This road is planned to further extend to Cambodia and Vietnam as a part of framework of Asian Highway network. In 2020, India gifted Myanmar INS Sindhuvir first ever a kilo class submarine. Keeping in mind of Indian industrialization and farmers, India opted out from RPEC (regional Comprehensive economic partnership) where 15 countries signed a free trade agreement which form 30% of world’s population and 30% GDP of world.
West asia/Middle east:
With Link west policy, Modi developed relations with GCC countries. India stood against ISIS and gave rhetorical condemnation of both sides during the Israel Hamas conflict in 2014. 46 nurses who were abducted by ISIS in Iran and were later on released. Operation Rahaaat: At the time of Houthi rebel aerial attacks on Yemen, India using navy and air force successfully pull-out Indian and many other foreign nationals out of the chaos. Prime Minister Modiji is the only PM who had visited both Israel and Palestine. After US proposed Jerusalem to be capital of Israel, India voted against this move in declaring Jerusalem as capital of Israel alone but India continued to maintain its strategic friendship with Israel. In GCC countries, there are around 90 lakh Indians working in these countries.
Around 65% Oil and more than 80% of gas supply to India is from these countries. Various gulf countries have honoured our Prime Minister with rewards and honours improving the mutual relationship between these countries. Even with repeated attempts of Pakistan to 57 members of Organization of Islamic countries (OIC) over Kashmir issue, India is been invited for the meet and none from the OIC heeded indicating how effective Indian policies have outreached to the middle east nations. Also with improved strategic relationship there was foreign investments in public and private sectors from the GCC investing in India in ARAMCO (Saudi Arabia) and ANDOC (UAE).
Relations with North and south America:

First Indian PM to visit Palestine signed six agreements worth 50 million USD to construct a super specialty hospital, centre for empowering women. First PM to visit Bahrain in Aug 2, 2019.
Also, along the Indo-pacific region India formed QUAD group along with U.S., Japan and Australia to counter growing aggressiveness of China. Along with France India plans to create Paris-New Delhi-Canberra. With performing marine exercises, like ‘malabar’ naval exercise (India, U.S, Japan), multilateral naval exercise along with 16 countries in Andaman and Nicobar Islands ‘Milan’, RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific Exercise) with 25 nations India is sending a strong message to China to prevent its aggressive occupancy of others territorial borders.
With neighbourhood policy and formation of new groups, India is on the move to develop collateral ties and grow along with the neighbouring countries.

Though India is not a member of AEAN nations, strategic relationship with these nations made (India not included) ASEAN-India agreement helps to develop shipping route between India and vietnam 6. Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) policy- Modi said 5 points under this policy “Our goal is to seek a climate of trust and transparency; respect for international maritime rules and norms by all countries; sensitivity to each other`s interests; peaceful resolution of maritime issues; and increase in maritime cooperation”. 7. Herculean side of Shri Narendra Modi:
With one side giving a friendly hand to India, China in the back stage developed aggressive behaviour and tried to follow the typical “mouse nibbling “attitude over Indian territory. It also stood against many pending geopolitical issues of India. Doklam standoff: mid-June 2017 when Indian forces prevented China from building a road in the Doklam region, which India sees as belonging to Bhutan though it is claimed by China. The Indian action was strongly motivated by the fact that the road would have enabled Beijing to take control of the Zampheri ridge which overlooks the Siliguri Corridor.

But with the continued cross- border terrorism encouraged by Pakistan in the form of Pathankot airbase attack in December, 2015; 18 soldiers killed in Uri, Baramulla district of J and K, September 2016; Pulawama attack killing 40 CRPF soldiers in February 2019 India decided to reiterate by “surgical strike” on terrorist camps in POK and air strike in terrorist training centre in Balakot in Pakistan. India stood on its policy of “Terror and Talks cannot go together”.

On the last ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ day (2 October, 2021), messages were floated in social media praising Nathuram Godse, the killer of Gandhi, by many Indians. As per Oxford dictionary, ‘Terrorism’ is the calculated use of violence or threat of violence to inculcate fear. Terrorism is intended to coerce or intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.
If that be so, all Hindus and Sikhs of Indian Punjab after 15 August 1947, who got engaged in communal riots, were the first batch of terrorists in Independent India. If hundreds of people of one religion were killed by people of other religions in independent India during post 15 August 1947, then Gandhi, Nehru and Baldev Singh et al were also the first batch of politico-intellectual perpetrators of terrorism in independent India.
It is funny that Congress-Communist-Islamist gang and Lutyens media of India now distort the history and find extreme pleasure in labeling Nathuram Godse as first terrorist of independent India. Crypto-Christian Kamal Haasan has also joined the bandwagon. Nobody knows as to why Congress government did not conduct post mortem of the body of Gandhi. Congress government also never published the report of ‘Kapur Commission’ it constituted to examine the conspiracy behind the murder of Gandhi. Dr Ambedkar, like Jinnah, always addressed Gandhi as Mr. Gandhi and not ‘Mahatma’ Gandhi. In his 1955 BBC interview, Dr Ambedkar had pulled down Gandhi from his superman pedestal and exposed Gandhi as wily and crook politician, who was for mysterious reasons glorified by Western press. Dr Ambedkar never supported Godse overtly, but was possibly relieved to see thatGodse, by killing Gandhi, had actually released Hindu Indians from the bondage of regressive, delusional and destructive Mahatma.
The bottom line is if Godse was a terrorist, so were Khudiram Basu, Binoy Basu, Surya Sen, Bhagat Singh and Chandra Shekhar Azad et al. While the later violently fought against British colonialism, the former killed the perpetrator of self-loathing, apologist, timid and passive Hindu Indian psyche.
In Tamil Nadu, the idols of Sellayee Amman a village deity and many other deities in the temple have been vandalized by “miscreants” in SIRUVACHUR village. The village situated in Perambalur district of TN has been home to many Hindu temples. One famous temple is the Madhura Kaali Amman temple. This temple of Periyaandavar is a village temple home for clan-deities of various people in the locality. This has been attacked and damaged by miscreants. The miscreants have damaged a few other temples in the locality and have stolen the copper disc placed beneath the idols. Those discs would bear the Yantra calculation drawings for the respective idols. These miscreants have targeted those discs.
A person named Raja was caught by temple poojari and watchman, while stealing the discs from another temple in the locality. His bag was found to have quite a few such yantra discs. The villagers have handed that person over to police and a case has been registered. With anti Hindu forces openly operate with a smug in the State, and the open anti-Hindu stand of DMK and it’s parent body DK for the past 70 years, there is a widespread fear amongst Hindus that they might lose their Constitutional right to worship in TN.
Desecreated Periyaandavar temple, SIRUVACHUR
Hindus of the locality lamented that the temple was consecreated recently at an expense of ₹10 lakhs collected from villagers and the temple worshippers elsewhere. For many locals this temple has been the sacred place of their clan-deity. When the BJP karyakartas led by lawyer Aswathaman and many Hindu activists visited they had spoken to the affected villagers and assured them of help to rebuild the temple and perform a kumbhabhishekam as per dharmic norms.
A crowd funding has been sought over the internet, started by Hindu activitists and media men John Ravi & Karthik Gopinath. In 8 hours a record amount of ₹10 lakhs has been collected. Donations have been pouring in and the amount has been doubled to ₹20 lakhs. Now willing donors are being asked to help temples at their locality since the temple worshippers in TN have a widespread dissence against HR&CE department for treating the temples like ATMs and nothing more. In many temples, there have been complaints through social media that the officers of HR&CE have been non-cooperative for proper conduct of pooja. It has been a long lament among Hindus that temple properties (moveable and immovable) have not been maintained properly and we have seen occassional reports in media that action has been taken against HR&CE officers for mishandling of temple funds and cashflow.
Given such a situation Hindus have been left to fend for themselves as it has been during the rule of Sultanate in the previous millennium.
