Which way to Freedom?
So far as the intellectual space is concerned, the books written by Savarkar pave the way to true freedom and provide a start.

सावरकर का मानना था कि सामाजिक अनुबंध के आधार पर राष्ट्र राज्य मजबूत नहीं हो सकता है तथा राष्ट्रीय एकता स्थापित करने के लिए कोई मजबूत बंधन आवश्यक है। आज जब देश के अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों में जिहादी-वामपंथी गठजोड़ के नेतृत्त्व में अलगाववादी आवाज़े उठती हैं तो सावरकर का सामाजिक अनुबंध को लेकर दृष्टिकोण स्पष्ट समझा जा सकता है।

जिसके भाई को जेल भेज दिया गया हो, पत्नी और भाभी बेघर हो गईं हो, ससुर की नौकरी छीन ली गई हो, वह इन मुसीबतों में भी अपने लक्ष्य से पीछे नहीं हटा, बल्कि मुसीबतों के पहाड़ को चीरता चला गया। उस त्याग, समर्पण और राष्ट्रभक्त का नाम है सावरकर।

It was the Congress which continued to attack Savarkar the most, years after his death. They feared that once Indians got to know Savarkar fully, Nehru and the Congress would be washed away. The fear of Indian Independence movement being democratised would mean the end of Nehru dynasty's divine right to rule. Savarkar's life would open a can of worms for them since it would include his meeting with freedom fighters like Rash Behari Bose, Madanlal Dhingra etc. Many such freedom fighters were not given a deserving position in the History written by Marxists.

The timing of this nomenclature smack of conspiracy. If we look at the archives of then newspapers or the arguments and judgement of the court, nowhere has he been called a terrorist. Then why calling him terrorist now?
