लोकसभा में सरकार द्वारा २० दिसंबर २०२१ को चुनाव सुधार बिल (Election Reform Bill) पेश किया गया। विपक्षी सदस्यों के शोर शराबे और लडकपन के बीच ये बिल लोकसभा में पास कर दिया। राज्यसभा (Rajya Sabha) ने २१ दिसंबर २०२१ को विपक्षी सदस्यों के विरोध, बचपने और हंगामे के बीच ‘निर्वाचन विधि (संशोधन) विधेयक, २०२१’ को ध्वनिमत से मंजूरी दे दी।

उधर विपक्ष १२ राज्य सभा सांसदों के निलंबन पर शोर मचाने में मशगूल था, इधर मोदी सरकार ने ४० वर्षो से लटक रहे बिल को राज्य सभा में पारित कराके विधेयक के अधिनियम बनने कि राह में आ रही सारी रुकावटों को दूर कर दिया(विदित हो कि लोक सभा ने इस विधेयक को २०१९ में हि पारित कर दिया था)।
