The agenda of Ram mandir and development are monozygoic twins

0

Many of the so-called political pundits, neo reformists and neoliberals wonder whether 2019 election is going to be fought on the agenda of Ram Mandir or development and sab ka Vikas? Unfortunately the extraordinary brilliance and scholarly wisdom of all those self-appointed political pundits, neo reformists and liberals do not allow them to understand the fact that the true meaning of development is not just materialistic but spiritual as well and that is what is called in management as ‘organic growth.

India is a Hindu Rastra and people of different religions in India also follow some practices of sacred Hindu culture.

Lord Ram is the identity, culture and ethos of Hindu tradition and Hindu rastra.  Lord Ram was not just the icon of Hindu culture but was also a great ruler-king.  Therefore, a mandir for Lord Ram as wished by millions of Hindus across the world and the agenda of development of India and sab ka Vikas are all inter-linked.

Development and sab ka Vikas should not be seen only through the lenses of materialism or materialistic growth.  Development must include the index of happiness and wellness as well.  Development cannot be limited to just to the financial quotient alone, we also must develop spiritual, moral, social and ethical quotients as well among people of this country. The spirit of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya alone can unite diverse India and achieve sab ka vikas.

Unlike the west, India should always attempt to develop organically where people are empowered, have sufficient opportunity, support and freedom to pursue the entrepreneurial quest / inner call, are morally conscious, spiritually awakened, show a high level of self-discipline, socially responsible and that should be the real development agenda of India.

Modiji is the first Prime Minister of India to envisage the total and complete development of our country like how our great freedom fighters envisaged ‘sampoorna swaraj’.

Lord Ram is dear to everyone in India and different traits of Ram are followed in every household even today.  Therefore the demand for the temple for Lord Ram at his birthplace is indeed development centric and is not away or different from the agenda of development of our country.

Our politics need the intervention of God and only then we can reform our country consciously and morally.

Lord Ram was a true husband, disciplined son, responsible king, followed the rule of law, given respect to every dissent and protected his kingdom by destroying all evil forces.  Ram represents the true development milestone of India.  The development of India will not be complete and meaningful without the Ram temple at Ayodhya.

In science, we can separate heart, liver, brain etc., and also we can study them individually.  But the mission of development and sab ka Vikas as envisaged by Modiji cannot be limited to just the economic development alone.

Development of the human mind, making man conscious of his responsibilities and duties both to his family, society and to the country is equally important.  Therefore having Ram Mandir for Lord Ram at his birthplace as one of the major poll agendas is inevitable and people of India are not going to read such agenda differently like the so-called neoliberals and reformists or the self-acclaimed political pundits from the pay list of the dynast interpret and describe.

It is the testing time for the dynast to prove his true Siva Bhakti, trueness of his intentions to save cows and who is the real carrier of Brahmin DNA.  If the dynast is true, he must support the ordinance of Modi government to build a Ram Mandir.  If the dynasty fails to support the mission of Ram mandir it means the dynasty is neither true to Muslims nor to Hindus and just playing to the gallery, the cheap vote bank politics.  Hindus should expose the dynast how true he is to the ethos of India and build Hindu rastra through Ram Mandir.

Sabarimala judgement opens up pandora-box

0

A lot of churning is taking place in the Hindu Society with the apex court’s entry into temple rituals in the name of Constitutional morality. In the Sabarimala case, the top court is getting unwelcome attention from all Hindus and many practising Hindus started questioning the wisdom of the judgement.

In the southern states, however infallible the judgement is as per the judiciary, it’s being made a butt of ridicule by all sections, even in wayside Inns and coffee-shops. Queries like, ‘is equality of gender taught only to Hindus in India? When the community itself is not in full cry, why is this new practice (of 10-50yeas women entry)?

When a fifty thousand Muslim women signed appealed against instant triple talaq, five different religious judges sat on the bench and scrupulously checked and guardedly gave a verdict, why this hurry burry in the case of Sabarimala? When it comes to Ayodhya -temple of nearly a century – old dispute, where petitioners also expired in due process, yet it is pending, not on priority to take up, though the people have been keen on the verdict. Both are related to Hindus. In Sabarimala case, Hindus, supposedly ancient nomadic tribes, are shown their place in the egalitarian world!

There are many highly educated and eminent people in the Hindu Society. They’re all awe-struck by the judgement. In the five-bench judgement, four judges concurred and one woman judge differed. The learned woman judge, Indu Malhotra also quoted the related Articles of the Constitution. Should people presume that there’s an inherent dilemma in the Constitutional propriety? The inner conflicts, of late, in Central Investigator Bureau (CBI), are named CBI versus CBI and also ED versus ED in the media. If so, can Sabarimala be Constitutional morality versus Constitutional morality?

Hindus were codified long ago when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister. Up to now, Muslim personal laws are not codified. They are left only because they’re in a minority. They are expected to join the mainstream and ask for a reform, then only the government has to take up, is the explanation. Why the same logic is not applied to Sabarimala? Assuming that Common Hindus have not evolved to that of the Constitutional morality envisioned by our founding fathers and should have put their verdict in abeyance for some time to come.

Does Constitutional morality say a man to marry four wives at a time? Are the Muslims not citizens of India? The Constitutional morality so sacrosanct to Hindus, won’t apply to minority religions ? Of course, they are all guarded by personal laws, which again our holy Constitution has given. Given till what time? As long as the creation existed? As long as the last man on the earth lived? In any case, the apex court, is not at fault. The Supreme Body has been reminding the government to bring in the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) from time to time. But the governments in place, have no verve to take up. But in the case of Sabarimala, related to Hindus, none comes to rescue.

A society needs prior preparation to take reformist measures. Top down injunctions would not work well. Sudden such shocks lead to shrivel. People are questioning the judicial outreach, they are questioning the other community religious rights vis-a-vis theirs? They have got every right to ask in a democracy. They need not play duplicity like their elected representatives, respecting the law on one-side, and taking the side of the people agitating on other.

There’s a fixation in the Sabarimala issue. If the Court budged a little on review petitions, that would set a precedent for more and more such bickers. If not, a common Hindu feels he and his tradition has been let down by the judicial verdict. Hinduism is all about traditions that have been practised from ages. There are high egalitarian spiritual virtues which unify all human beings in the Hindu religion and also ebullient pagan worships.

It has diversity along with inherent inner schisms between sects and sub-sects leading to unending dialogue. Probably that could be the reason d’etre for Shri Savarkar, the proponent of Hindutva, not going for religious kind of Hindutva but of a cultural one. Following suit, presumably, the RSS also is for cultural nationalism rather than a religious one.

Now, with a new petition, an interesting one, filed by Sanjeev K Kumar, Social activist & Director of an NGO Newman Foundation, in the High Court of New Delhi (if argued) there will be a shake-up in all communities of the county regarding gender-justice. That would give more semblance.

It is time to have a political service commission in India

0

Humans are alike and they are different. They are different in many aspects and respects. Some of the differences are independent of human wishes and desires; they are bestowed on humans by nature. They include genotypes and phenotypes, anatomy and morphology, mental makeup and body constitution and sex and sexual inclinations and affinities of humans. The rest of the differences are created, modulated and manipulated by those of the first kind, the natural ones. Caste and creed, religious and political inclinations, culture and cultural affinities and ideology and economic status are these differences which some way or the other are brought about by the natural differences in people.

Scientists and political scientists since the time of Plato, or even before, to the current times have tried to make use of the natural differences, attributes, characters and characteristics to build an ideal state and to prevent the differences of caste, religion, sex, culture and others from disrupting the order of the states. These scientists and system builders have always tried to devise techniques and schemes to put every individual at his/her perfect place in the society and the government.

In the current times to run the governments efficiently in every country, there are different service commissions and recruitment agencies. The first priority and objective of these commissions and recruitment agencies is to select the best of the people for jobs. They try to select the candidates who are naturally fitted for the jobs and make the best use of their talents, traits and skills.

In India also there is the Union Public Service Commission, State Service Commissions and other recruitment agencies. The performance of these recruitment agencies is not ideal, there are operational, structural and functional flaws in these institutions and agencies but the candidates who go genuinely through the entire recruitment processes of these commissions and agencies turn out to be well suited for the posts and jobs. No doubt omissions and commissions are committed but still lot of good work has been done by these recruiting agencies.

India is a republic, she is a democracy and the entire gamut of governance is put under the political executive under this scheme. True the political executive is directly elected by the popular sovereign, true they are the representative of the people and true theirs must be the last word in deciding the programs and policies of the government but they should at least be well suited for the important posts they hold.

A representative of a million people should be well capable of taking independent decisions in the government’s scheme of things; the representative should not be a rubber stamp that is used by the higher bureaucracy at will. One who is unaware of the files and filing, notes and noting in files and the procedure of making a decision and formulating schemes is simply incapable of ruling. In the Indian scheme if an independent survey is made the majority of the political executives are not doing justice with their jobs and roles in the government. The questions are raised even against the highest post of the political executive.

It is not that they cannot be made best suited for their posts but the current scheme has become so acceptable that hardly any alternative scheme is thought of. In fact, the representatives remain content with the perks and power they seem to hold which actually is in the hands of the bureaucracy. The high chairs in their offices, the cavalcades of cars and Z and Z+ security is all they want, give them that and the rest they are ready to put their signature anywhere where they are made to sign.

This raises two problems, one that the political executive on whose name decisions are made, in the majority of cases know not about what the decisions are and second the resultant misgoverned which is thrust on the political executive is actually the work of the people who work behind the scenes. The representatives of the people instead of working for the welfare of their constituencies end up defending the decisions and schemes which are not of their making.

The democratic system of governance already faces the problem of credibility, where minority governments are elected and the representatives of the people are not representing the majority of the electorate. So this condition where the representatives are not able to act independently puts further questions marks on the representative democracy that India is. People in the background who are neither elected nor entitled to make decisions end up conducting all the business of the government and the representatives are made to follow them.

We cannot change the system of government that India has adopted after independence. This is the best system which can work under the circumstance of demographic and geographic diversities. However, the system can be improved, it can be made better. One important step that can be initiated towards that direction is to devise a scheme where the political executive is either selected from amongst those who possess some minimum requisite qualifications or if they are elected without these qualifications they should at least be trained to be capable to run the government efficiently as real representatives of the people.

On the pattern of the Union Public Service Commission and the State Service Commissions India can establish political service commissions at both the federal and the state levels. These commissions could world to select and train people with specific talents and natural inclinations towards politics. Political executive could be exclusively selected from the people certified and trained by these political service commissions.

Unlike the public service commission, the entry to the Political Service Commissions could be kept open to all. Those who wish to pursue the courses of applied politics could be allowed to do the same after passing a qualifying test suggestive of their natural talents to serve in the political sphere in the best way possible. The curriculum for these courses and training programs is the scheme is allowed to work, would include two parts, basic information about the politics and political history of the country and training in the art of governance.

The political parties could enrol their cadres who pass the qualifying test for the courses, the students who want to go for politics could also go for the same and even the professionals and other people could go for the courses if they are found naturally fitted for politics. The political service commissions will at the end of the course and training programs certify the pass outs as capable to hold important posts in the government. Even the commissions could state on the certificates that for which political post a particular person eligible.

In a true democracy and truly representative democracy it is difficult to choose the representatives of the people from a selected few, and qualified ones only. But electing from the qualified ones could be made preferable. In case the representatives are elected otherwise, without qualifications and training, it should be made imperative upon them to go throw at least a crash course to know a little bit about governance and intricacies of governance.

In the current circumstances in India, there is a set procedure and qualifications for selecting a lower grade employee. The professionals and technocrats are made to go through strenuous courses and training. But, the people who are put above all of them need no qualifications or training. Indeed, this can be presented as the beauty of this political system but when there accrues mis-governance on account of the lack of qualifications and training, it is only a flaw, a big flaw.

In the contemporary times of specialization and super-specialization, it is time to produce specialist rulers without disturbing the fundamentals of democracy. There surely are ways by which this can be accomplished if there is political will. The moot question in the end is, is there that will.

The trinity which saved Hinduism

0

Time to time in the history, the presence of sages and learned men in Sanatan Dharma history have contributed to wisdom and upliftment of consciousness to new levels. The works of these Sages and Gurus primarily impacted millions of lives. But for this to happen, society needs to be receptive, which was only possible in times of peace and flourish. The kings and the warriors played an important role to preserve peace against external threats which could undermine the fabric and function of society.

The Mughal invasion and subsequent British Empire had its profound impact on the lives and function of Hindu society, which sent a whole civilisation, seemingly, towards a downward spiral. The glaring example where utmost serene and spiritual civilisation could not protect its existence, in absence of mighty warriors to protect it, is Tibet. There are also other examples of complete washout of peaceful civilisations in northern and western Asia by the external conquerers.

In Bharatvarsh of the sixteenth and seventeenth century, many Kingdoms fought these menacing attacks from Mughals; but there are three glaring examples of valour and wisdom which distinguish from the ordinary. On hindsight, one can easily conclude that without the works of these great men, India would have been radically different society and the loss to Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma would have been colossal.  Works of these great men, though being taught in few History Chapters, are still being largely underrated in our glorious history which should be part of every Indian Psyche.

These three great men – Maharana Pratap, Guru tegBahadur Singh and Chhatrapati Shivaji lived in an era (late 16thto 17thCentury) when Mughal invasions were at its peak and danger to Hindu civilization was the greatest. The wide spread conversions by coercion and unimaginable brutality and hostility towards any resistance underscored the “Golden Period” of Mughals. In such times, these three men of extraordinary valour, wisdom and tenacity provided a triumphant example for others to emulate. We owe much to their perisitance to not to succumb to power and pressure of Mughal empires and preserve and save hindu civilization.

1)Maharana Pratap (1540-1597AD),  the greatest Rajput king from Mewar region defied Mughal rule in times of Akbar; and, not only fought to get back his lost kingdom of Mewar but also significantly expanded the rule which kept Mughals at the bay. The great sacrifices of his tribesmen were crucial to preventing a complete dominance of Mughals in North West of Bharata at that time. We owe much to his valour to protect Hindus from the hand of Mughals.

2) GuruTegbahadur Singh (1621-1675 AD) was ninth Guru of Sikhs and spread his sermon in Malwa (Punjab). His was a great poet and creator of important Granths for Sikh community. He laid down his life to protect Kashmiri Hindus from forced conversions and led the movement which is a shining example in Sikh and Hindu history. He and his family and followers suffered unimaginable brutality by the hands, Aurangzeb before they were killed in most gruesome manner. He was not the only epitome of unity between Sikhs and Hindus, but also exemplified the life of a Guru and leader who does not hesitate to lay down his life for the betterment and protection of his followers and community members.

3)Chhatrapti Shivaji (1627-1680 AD) contemporary to GuruTegbahadur Singh, waged several wars against the invasion of Mughals in Maratha region, which in his lifetime became one of the most powerful and greatest empires in Bharata varsh. Guided by the religious and spiritual philosophies and energies bestowed upon him by his Mother Jijabai, his tenacity and determination put a grinding halt to Mughal expansion in Marathwada and middle and southern parts of India, thus protecting Hindus from hostility and mass conversions by Mughals.

These valiant warriors and wise men from Marwar, Malwa and Maratha regions together shaped the history of Bharat varsh where Hindus got the window to protect their civilization from brutal invasions, not only on their land but also on their beliefs, a way of life and also the psyche. Their contribution to present India is far-reaching, yet grossly neglected by our own historians who were enamoured by the western view of Indian history.  It’s time we dedicate a greater share of history to these men and guide young generation to realize their own place inheritance of these great souls.

A liar and thief would see only lie and theft – Know more from the politics of the dynast

0

It is a well proven psychological fact that a thief or a liar would always see only lie and theft around them and further, they always fear and accuses others as a liar and thief.  One of the possible reasons is that the liar and thief are always worried and scared whether someone would detect their lie and theft so the better way to deflect the attention is to accuse the other person a liar or thief. The other possibility also we cannot rule out. No liar and thief want anyone to excel them so constantly accuse others as thief or liar so others would never dare to excel them.

The dynasty in Indian politics is constantly engaged in making false and fabricated allegations against Modiji and alleging a big scam in Rafale deal. If the Indian electorates analyse the possible pathology and psychological reasons that might be compelling the dynasty to make all such allegations against Modiji from the above scientific truth would easily get the answer easily.

Another mind dimension is also present in the unwise engagement of the dynasty.  When a liar or thief is caught red-handed and even when plenty of evidence are placed before them still they would plead innocence and repeat the same.  The above psychological aspect also may be persuading the dynast to continuously repeat the same allegation with the hope that his lie would become true one day.

Instead of synthesizing a truth with lie in public space the dynasty must focus on how to put his house in order, how he can undo the past mistakes of his dynasty and how he can offer his wholehearted support to Modiji to develop India and achieve sab ka Vikas.

But instead of engaging positively and constructively, the dynasty is working as a divisive and destructive force bursting false and demeaning allegations against Modiji for political mileage and through such engagement, the dynast is literally belittling the dignity of our country and our internal security.

Even the child in the womb recognizes that Modiji is incorruptible and honest. Modiji is a leader of exemplary leadership vision and uncommon wisdom.  Modiji is a sage, a saint, a mendicant and has pledged his life to the country.  Therefore instead of criticizing Modiji, the dynasty must respect and salute Modiji.  In fact, the dynast is disfiguring own character and credibility by levelling all false and unsubstantiated lies against Modiji whom people of India adore and worship.

History of the dynasty may be such that it had survived through decades with the help of sycophants but India has changed thanks to Modiji.  Only merit, honesty, leadership vision, agenda of development and sab ka Vikas shall win and not boasting the greatness of the dynasty or projecting and promoting the meritless dynast.

The growth India has achieved since 2014 in all frontiers is incredible in comparison with 60 years of misrule of the dynasty.  Indians have woken up to new reality and Indians wants to participate in building New India envisaged by Modiji.

India’s cultural identity and glory as Hindu rastra where every religion enjoys equal right and dignity were lost due to the dirty politics of the dynasty through minority appeasement and anti-Hinduism.

Modiji is re-inventing the glory of India with complete focus on development and sab ka Vikas. Indians must join the mission of building New India by rendering their complete and wholehearted support of Modiji in 2019.  They should not pave way for the destruction of this wonderful county by supporting the dynasty that has ruined India.

What is common between ‘Samba’ who destroyed Yatus and India’s dynasts with Brahmin DNA?

0

The sudden transformation of the Congress party exhibiting extraordinary love for Hindus with the claim that it has Brahmin DNA and the party would do everything possible to save cows have amused and shocked the people of India.  In the past, the dynastic party had claimed through its actions that Congress is the party of and for the Muslims.

After seeing the Chameleon-nic colour change of Congress party, Hindus hope that the minority communities and Muslims would realize the truth of pseudo-love and vote bank politics of Congress and will support PM Modi for his true mission of development and sab ka Vikas. People of India should leave the Congress party to serve cows and runs to various temples than rule the country.

The Congress leaders argue that Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajive Gandhi all of them were either Brahmins or had Brahmin DNA.  The above argument was to justify the dynasty to be great by birth or he was born as the saviour of Brahmin community?

The way the dynast conducts himself as the president of the age-old party, it strongly suggests that he is trying to replay and recast the role of Samba, one of the sons of Lord Krishna.  Samba was born to destroy the entire Yatu clan and the same way the dynasty is also actually destroying the age-old party by uttering all such nonsenses 24X7.

The wife of Krishna, Jambavati approached Krishna to have a son like Pradyumna who was born to Krishna and Rukmini.  Krishna worshipped Lord Siva and Lord Siva appeared as Samba and told Krishna to ask for a boon.   Krishna then asked Siva to have a son exactly like Samba. Siva granted the boon and then the Samba was born to Krishna and Jambavati.  Like the role of Siva, destruction of the creation, Samba destroyed the entire race of Yadus as Yadus could not be defeated by anyone.

If we carefully reflect the birth and role of Samba we can find several similarities with that of the dynast.  Like how Krishna did long penance and several austerities to have a son like Sive – Samba, the Congress also waited for very long period patiently before making the dynast as president of the party might be with the hope that one day the dynast would mature.  But that did not happen therefore the party has lost its hope and then made the dynast as head of the party.

Congress is an age-old party and has root all over India.  So it cannot be destroyed so easily like how Yadus were described to be as immortal.  Like how Samba who was born to destroy Yadus, the dynast is also doing his best to make the party insignificant, irrelevant and at best the party that can entertain Indian audience like Charlie Chaplin.

Samba carried the DNA of Krishna but destroyed the Yadus.  Similarly, the dynast also can claim he carries the DNA of Brahmin, he is Siva bhakta etc., but we should never fail to appreciate him for the role that he is doing effectively – destroying the party.

It looks like Congress is totally clueless.  Whether to appease minority or prove its credential as Hindu party, establish it has the DNA of Brahmin, exhibit its commitment to protect cows….. what the party should do to get votes, the party has no clarity.  The party does not have any vision for the country.

The dynast is neither true to Muslims and other minority communities nor to Hindus.  The party doesn’t even know the meaning of secularism as it appears.

The dynast wants just power and somehow wants to win the coming election.  More than anything the dynast does not want PM Modi to win as he may develop Indian and achieve sab ka Vikas.

The dynast is even willing to forgo his party’s victory but wants to ensure the defeat of PM Modi. The dynast is so scared of the Prime Minister because he is destroying all palaces of corrupts. The Pradhan Sevak is developing the country and ensuring Sab Ka Vikas.  Once the country is developed, the corrupt forces cannot play poverty card and minority appeasement.  The divisive forces never want India to develop instead they want only their dynasty to develop.

Definitely, we must praise and appreciate the Samba (dynast) for doing the right thing to the party.  The forthcoming election should be seen as a fight between the agenda of development and fight for the resurrection of dying dynasty. India should vote for development and sab ka Vikas mission of Prime Minister Modi.

Statue of Unity – Criticism and Benefits

0

31st October 2018 – This date is going to be remembered in the modern history as the day the “New India” announced its arrival on the world stage – the India that has the vision, the strength of character and the technological capability to achieve something so unthinkable by the previous Indian standards. However, the Statue of Unity has had its share of critics as well.

We have heard criticism ranging from “why waste so much money on a statue when so many people are poor and hungry in the country?” to “what about the environment?” and “Why not use to money to generate employment for the youth?”. This article aims to answer all those questions and provide a holistic view and a rationale behind the creation of this statue.

Why waste so much money on a statue when so many people are poor and hungry in the country?

Based on the recent world bank report, India has shed its infamous title of the highest number of people living in extreme poverty. More than 44 persons in India come out of poverty every minute in India and it can also from 2nd largest to 3rd largest by the end of this year. There are a number of schemes run by the government for poverty alleviation which include Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojna, Roshni: Skill Development Scheme for Tribals, and so on. All these schemes are doing a great job for moving people out of poverty. Apart from that, Antyodaya Anna Yojna ensures that poor people get food at subsidized rates so that they don’t have to go hungry to bed each night.

Why not use the money for sick and the elderly then?

Modi launched ‘world’s largest’ health insurance scheme. Ayushman Bharat program dubbed ‘Modicare’ promises insurance to 500 million poor people across the country. 1.5 lakh people have already benefitted from Ayushman Bharat scheme within 1st month of launch. So, I think Modi got this covered too.

Why not use the money to build infrastructure and roads in the country?

National Highway construction hits record 28km a day in 2017. Govt to Construct Rural Roads at 10 km Per Hour in Next 14 Months. That’s right! 10 kms per hour equals approximately 1,00,000 km roads in the last 14 months!

Let’s look at the whole exercise from a purely economic perspective. The cost of the statue is approximately Rs 2,989 crore, which houses valley of flowers, an observation deck, the Sardar Patel memorial, museum and audio-visual gallery, along with a 3-star hotel, a shopping centre and a research centre.

The ticket to the statute is kept at Rs 350 and an average of 15,000 – 20,000 people are expected to visit the statue daily, considering Taj Mahal gets around 40k visitors each day. Going with the average, the total earnings just by selling the tickets comes out to be Rs 200-250 crore. This does not even include the earning through the 3-star hotel rooms and the shopping centre. So, only by considering the ticket earning, the entire cost of the statue can be recovered in approximately 12-15 years. Moreover, the government has already said that it’d like to conduct international and national conferences and summits in the statue premises, which would add to total earnings. Not a bad deal for the tallest statue, I think. Considering the earning through hotel rooms, shopping centre and other means, this can come down to less than 10 years.

Furthermore, since this is bound to be a major tourist attraction for the world, the economic and tourist activity surrounding this project is bound to grow in the coming years. Tourism is the largest provider of employment in the world today, starting from hotels, restaurants to taxis and guides. This statue guarantees a lot of employment opportunities to the people in the surrounding areas in the coming years. This is significant especially because the area where the statue is located is predominantly a tribal area and tribal people are the one most in need of alternate employment. The employment generation and business potential of the Statue of Unity can be accurately predicted by calculating the economic activity generated by the Kankaria lakefront in Ahmedabad or Taj Mahal in Agra.

The metal and soil used for the construction of this statue have been taken from farmers who were asked to donate their old and unused farm equipment for this project. So, this serves as a great example of the application of “Best out of Waste” philosophy that we hear every now and then.

Creating the world’s tallest statue is, by no means, a small feat, considering the planning, design and execution, everything happened in India and was done by Indians. With this statue, Modi has basically shown to the world that we can build anything the world wants us to build. We have the talent and the vigour to achieve it. If we can do it for us, we can do it for you too. Statue of Unity will serve as the largest endorsement of the talent that India possesses to visualize and design such a marvel as well as the engineering prowess needed to put this vision into reality, for centuries to come.

It is nobody’s case that Modi has done well on almost all fronts – economic, social, poverty alleviation and cleanliness. However, what Modi has demonstrated with the Statue of Liberty is more fundamental: that Indians can dream big and execute big whenever there is political will. In fact, thinking big has been the hallmark of the Modi government, whether it was creating bank accounts for the poor, Swachh Bharat or rolling out the world’s largest health insurance scheme and nobody can fault him for breaking the age-old mould of thinking small.

Clash of testaments of scams and nepotism of dynast versus testaments of development

All those holy cows in various government establishments are rekindling the democracy and democratic principles like ‘devil citing scriptures from Bible’ mainly because the fumes and flames of anti-corruption mission initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has at least reached their door. Similarly when the inertness of all these government establishments were questioned and the officials were asked for performance and result, naturally all those who were taking sunbath and winter sleep over several decades are bound to rattle and react violently.

The regime of the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi is highly reform centric and warrant change, transformation and new way of thinking and doing from people working in various government establishments. Naturally such interventions although necessary for our country but no government official would easily welcome such initiative because it disturbs their sleep. Today what we see is nothing but a well-orchestrated, pre-meditated attack against the mission of PM Narendra Modi towards corruption and non-performance.

When the Finance Minister asked about the role of RBI in NPA and bad loans by the banks, naturally such question is bound to rattle the officials as they were never questioned by the previous government and instead the previous government might have advised them to go slow against all defaulters as they were all important members of the fan club of the dynast.

But unlike the previous government of the dynast which was known for scams and nepotism, the government headed by Narendra Modi is very demanding government, forthright, wants people in the government establishments to be answerable, accountable and responsible to people.

Narendra Modi wants total and complete reform and not some cosmetic change in the name of reform. PM Modi has urged people to bring changes in the mind first so that rest of the changes are possible.

All restless and disgruntled elements in government establishments and politics are so obnoxious over such reform and wary of corruption free India have started to gang up, organize and work against the country by expressing their anger against anti-corruption mission through a cleaver and well-crafted script that their autonomy and independence is under jeopardy, democracy is disappearing etc.

If people are made accountable and answerable for the country and performance is demanded, according to the neo liberals such an attempt is like curtaining their freedom. If the government officials are left scot free, allowed to rein nepotism, corruption and lack of accountability and sensitivity, then all these officials would say India’s democracy is flourishing.

Millions of Indians want interventional democracy, the democracy where the officials while enjoy freedom and independence also must be made accountable, responsible and answerable if the latter is not possible then such democracy people of India does not want and instead want their Prime Minister to act as authoritarian or benevolent autocrat.

In the past, the dynast was converting every government department in India as his fan club and kitchen cabinet but here-on the government officials cannot dream such days because the PM is in the helm of affairs and instead they must work for the money that they receive or must worth the salt.

India is passing thorough a revolution. The testaments of dynast created for the promotion of Nehru–Gandhi family is challenged by the testaments of development and Sab ka saath, sab ka vikas initiated by the PM Modi. Indian politics is moving from ‘Hero worship’ to merit and performance worship where Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall be brute and merciless towards corruption and nepotism. People of India must recognise the ground truth that most of the institutions and government officials are crying wolf because they are started to fear the hunter and trap.

2019 election is like second freedom struggle of India and only difference is that India is seeking freedom from corruption, dynastic culture and nepotism. BJP has the will to achieve freedom of India from corruption because the Prime Minister and his office is persistently working against all such divisive and draconian forces. Indians should defeat the dynastic forces and must work for merit based governance of PM Modi. It is India that would benefit richly if Narendra Modi led BJP come back to power in 2019.
