2019 elections – Billion aspirations vs Garibi hatao

0

Ever wondered, while your lifestyle may have improved, your class remains same, poor or middle.
The privileged class, to make you feel better, will divide you further as lower middle, middle & higher middle class. To make you feel even better, a Bollywood star grown up outside Mumbai but with deep Bollywood connection will call himself middle class.

My grand father was known as Sheth, meaning business man, but he died middle class. My father joined army and is retired today with a house, pension and secured lifestyle. But he’s still middle class. I got decent education, earned salary of upward of Rs2L/Month before I quit rat race. But swear to god I am still a middle class. I may have a rich lifestyle, but I am still a middle class. And so are billions of people in India.

From each previous generation our lifestyle has improved. My grandfather rode a cycle for commute. My father Bajaj super and now a Maruti zen. I drive a 2.0 L engine Petrol car. But I can’t qualify as a rich guy or can’t even call myself on path to being rich.

So, why is this the case? Why do populations for generations remain in the same class, irrespective of better lifestyles? Answer is quite simply in the manifestos of the 2 major Indian political parties this 2019 election season.

Congress wants to yet again give freebies and add taxes to “manage” different classes. BJP wants to change the class of masses.

For far too long, leaders and political parties won elections purely in promise to deliver basic needs to 100 plus billion divided population. “Garibi Hatao” was the only constant.

From 2014 till 2019, majority population has received access to these basic amenities now. Like pakka house, gas cylinder, electricity and sanitation. To take away stress of taking care of poor ailing parents, which used to lead to children compromising their ideals and entering world of crime, has been reduced by rolling out Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Start up India, Mudra and other such schemes ensured easy availability of resources for those entrepreneurial citizens with limited assets.

GST, DeMo removed unfair advantages from the corrupt class. Better infrastructure, dependable internal security and policy making ensured better international reputation and easy FDI. Making business class comfortable with investing freely. In turn ensuring growing economy, restricted inflation and healthy competition.

Yet, congress by promising NYAY and compromised formulas on internal security has only played the same “Garibi Hatao” card. And that to, at the cost of making middle and business class anxious and insecure.

Middle class and poor class has remained same for generations, unless they opted to take risks and bend laws or break them with no disregard towards immediate society or nation.

This situation is still prevalent and can only change if there’s a clear vision for the country and a clear understanding of billion aspirations.

From developing to developed is truly a transformation of population from poor to middle and middle to rich class. Wealth creation vs monthly budget management is the difference between being rich and having a rich lifestyle. For far too long our lifestyle has improved but wealth creation was only possible for a small, not more than 10% of the population. And another 10% who vehemently broke laws or participated in anti national narrative, received opportunities to become rich.

BJP Sankalpa Patra, means a resolution, in my opinion for 2019, has captured this very essence and is a blue print for Indians to realize an opportunity of wealth creation as opposed to monthly budget management.

Simply earning more money doesn’t make one rich. Rich is being free of any stress towards devolving to a lower economical class. Rich is being able to live a rich lifestyle without having to resort to illegal activities or illegitimate risks. Rich is being able to take care of family without compromising in ideals. Rich is being able to work towards better lifestyle while cooperating in national development. Rich is being able to voice opinion without having to resort to PR mechanisms.

Simply put, rich is being able to live with dignity, comfort and an identity that you are.

And to create such opportunities, nation needs to be secured from external and internal rogue elements. Infrastructure needs to be scalable, modern and built with speed. And finally there needs to be an assurance of fair treatment towards all classes.

I think BJP resolution of 2019 has earned my vote and I am certain Narendra Modi’s work in last 5 years as PM and 12 plus years as CM has earned your support as well.

Let’s together build an India where billion aspirations get wheels and wings.

Jai Hind.

2019 Elections: An idea of Sankalp and Sashakt Bharat vs Brasht and Nisahaya Bharat

0

Elections of 2019 are remarkable in many ways it would first time a non-congress government be making an attempt to get reelected and it will also be an election where two different ideas of India are being put to test. One idea of “Sankalp and Sashakt” Bharat and a Bharat that looks up to Knight in the shining armor for all it problems (almighty government). Choice in front of voters is clearly between a confident India that can be world beater and India that still suffers from colonial hang over of low self-esteem and disgust towards its own native culture and capabilities. While I am not here to delve on past and criticize the earlier governments. I will make an attempt to highlight few changes that Modi led government has brought in to lay the platform to build more confident and capable India.

Transparency and Poverty alleviation through Reforms

Goods and Services Tax: Biggest reform that current regime has brought in is on taxation bringing in clarity to the multi layered taxation system. Earlier taxation system with multiple taxes across multiple states with no single system to tracking billing and invoicing system across various states, made it easy for various tax cheaters to bribe and beat the system. With new tax regime it is easier to track by linking the whole transactions through the entire value chain up until source. Implementation might have been shoddy but such large disruptions do take time to stabilize especially if we have reluctant end users. Biggest plus and take away with this reform it creates a level playing platform amongst all business owners and want to be entrepreneurs, there is no simple way to tweak or bribe the system to gain advantage over your competitors, additionally this makes India an attractive destination for investments

No Deals Government: Despite the accusations from various opposition parties that this government is pro corporate and of being more pro to few business houses. Biggest achievement of Modi government has been its dealing deadly blow to “Crony Capitalism” of UPA era and an end to power broker raj of Delhi, causing much chafe to lutyen Delhi media circles whose dislike for Modi is evident every day.  Modi government started off this process through open auctions for all Natural resources like coal, spectrum etc..,. To deal with crony and dubious businesses which prop up just to swindle money It has also brought in stringent laws like Benami Act, Black Money law and it has closed down thousands of such fake companies dealing a deadly blow money lauders and power broker. At the same time through ‘insolvency and bankruptcy code’ it has ushered in much needed reform for Genuine business losses

Targeted poverty alleviation along with asset creation:  It is election time fad to talk about poor and sufferings of poor like those movie stars who come out with amazing ideas of free health, free education to help poor and destroy the poverty films by pricing their movie tickets at Rs.200 (not free J). Coming back to serious issue of poverty alleviation the previous UPA embarked on Aadhar based subsidy programs but lacked seriousness or wiliness to build a robust mechanism to identify and benefit the actual poor. Current NDA regime through JAM (Jandhan, Aadhar and Mobile) strategy has been able to ensure that the state and center subsidies reach the poor that they were actually intended for, there is no middle man falsifying and siphoning up the benefits. This has certainly caused some heart burn to the middle men and free loaders who benefited heavily from such schemes and are now being made to actually work for living. As a Middle class tax payer we should be proud and happy about the fact that our tax money is benefiting the actual poor and not being siphoned off by lazy middle men

Enabling Rural India  through “Gram sadak Yojana”, Toilet building, Ujwala yojana and helping the urban poor through Pradhan mantra awaas yojana. Other major achievements of Modi are Infrastructure push through a record highway, number of metro enabled cities, focus on health care through Ayushman Bharat and list continues. Number of these big ticket items to enable India both in urban and rural areas under Modi governments has been pushing India towards faster growing economy.

Many might question existence of such schemes in erstwhile regimes as well, however what is important to note is the delivery pace of these schemes and to top it all with no corruption and zero increase in our income taxes. Is there anything more that we need? Yes, certainly but in order to make use of this platform and build on this we need the current Modi government to continue for another term if not we endanger taking India back in time and our future generations will not forgive us.

So when you go out and vote in 2019 think about what kind of India you want to build a confident and powerful one or an India that looks up to Government to solve all its problems?

Lastly, one of out of context things.

People who say Modi works only for Ambani ’s and corporates, here is a point to ponder for a Man who has not benefited his own family members and has dedicated his life working 16 hours a day for past so many years for “Bharat Mata“. What urge does he have to help nobody like Amabani or Adani?

Modi is Yogi who is dedicated to serve Ma Bharati like a true Swayam Sevak, this is hard to fathom for people used to serve and support family based parties.

People of India see no problem with the speech of Narendra Modi in Latur, Maharashtra

0

The opposition parties are misinterpreting the speech of PM Narendra Modi in Latur, Maharashtra on Tuesday April 9, 2019.

If we impartially decode the statement of PM Modi, we will understand that what he urged to the first time voters is a truth meant to inspire them to vote and it was not a campaign for BJP.

PM Modi urged the first time voters that “I want to ask my first-time voters, can your first vote be dedicated to the soldiers who conducted the Balakot air strikes? Can your first vote be in the name of the martyrs who lost their lives in Pulwama?”

Although Narendra Modi is campaigning for BJP but he is the Prime Minister of India, as on today.  Therefore he has every responsibility to inspire the first time voters to cast their vote for national security, development and for the sacrifices made by our defence forces to save our country from terrorists and perpetuators.

PM Modi has never asked the people through the above statement to vote for BJP or do not vote for other parties.

Inspiring the first time voters not to waste their precious vote and to develop the feeling of patriotism while voting than affiliated to some political parties and political consideration to prevail and influence their voting is a very fair point made by PM Modi and which deserve rich appreciation than criticism.

People should see 2019 election to be an election for the continuance of good governance versus certain Tukde Tukde gangs and dynastic forces ganging up together to hijack governance to loot the nation.

The 2019 election is extraordinarily unique from all previous elections. It is not about electing BJP or other Tukde Tukde gangs but re-electing good, honest, corruption and nepotism free governance, governance that is anchored on development, national security and sab ka vikas. It is all about the continuation of good governance versus instability and corruption if the Tukde Tukde gangs and dynastic forces are elected to power.

Therefore the first time voters must weigh the future of India, national security, development, sab ka vikas and India becoming economic super power while casting their first vote than waste their vote on corrupt, dynastic forces waiting to grab power to loot the nation.

From the premise of invoking nationalism, it is the duty and responsibility of PM Modi to tell the first time voters to think of India, development, national security and those martyrs who sacrificed their life for our nation. Every other political party also must tell the voters that India’s security is as important as development, addressing agrarian crisis, solving unemployment crisis etc.

The problem of opposition parties is that if they invoke national security, Narendra Modi alone with get recognition because he was the first Prime Minister of India to show such assertiveness and firmness in tackling terrorism and proxy war of Pakistan. Therefore the opposition wants to question the credibility of our defence force and wants to show India as a failed country. They don’t mind supporting Pakistan but do not want to support India if such support may directly or indirectly strengthen the credibility and decisiveness of PM Modi.

What PM Modi has urged to the first time voters was more as a statesman, a patriot, a leader who has buried his heart, head and soul so deep in national security, development and sab ka vikas and it was not a political statement meant to catch vote and that is how many Indians see.

Unlike the party of the dynasts like congress, DMK, JDU etc., asking people to vote for their party, Narendra Modi has asked people to vote for a stable and secured India and want the first time voters to thank the martyrs who sacrificed their life for our nation while voting for the first time.

Sense of gratitude, aspiration, vision for New INDIA, development, national security, sab ka vikas, governance free of corruption, nepotism and dynasty politics should kindle the first time voters and not the party affiliation is the ethos PM Modi has evoked to India through his Latur speech.

Some media houses and most of the opposition parties are getting nightmare when people of India talk about development, sab ka vikas, national security etc., because they fear that PM Modi is the first Prime Minister of India to commit and pledge his entire 5 years of governance for development, sab ka vikas and national security whereas the opposition parties, misused the power and looted India and pushed the poor to further penury and hopelessness.

The first time voters must realize that 2019 election is not about BJP versus others or Narendra Modi versus none but it is about good governance, governance free of corruption, governance full of development and national security versus dynastic forces which wants to cobble up and snatch the governance to loot our nation

Let us remember all those defence personals who sacrificed their life for safeguarding our country and the government that supported them by immediately sanctioning the purchase of bullet proof jackets, Rafale fighter jet and other equipment necessary for protecting India. Similarly Modi government was the first to secure our wing command Abinandhan Varthaman from Pakistan army within 48 hours.

Cast your vote for India and not for dynastic parties who wants to develop their family, engage in nepotism and corruption and push India backward.

What it actually feels like to flay politicians

0
  1. Bard of Avon William Shakespeare would never have thought that Menaka Gandhi, brimming with self-confidence in the world’s biggest democratic country, would describe the BSP Supremo Mayawati a merchant of tickets on the line of his penned drama ‘Merchant of Venice.’ The Union Minister & BJP candidate from Sultanpur Lok Sabha constituency did not stop here but proceeded to accuse her of selling party tickets for Rs 15-20 Crore each recently.
  2. If the Bahujan Samaj Party’s topmost leader was scorned for sale of the party tickets, there was no other political party in the country that can claim of its sincerity? The charge can be covered up only, it cannot be hidden altogether. The convenient thing was that the search for the right opportunity for a specific attack always stays in the politicians’ precocious minds.

The character of Lady Macbeth goaded her husband Macbeth to murder a Scottish King Duncan. Just as Shakespeare in his tragic drama ‘Macbeth’ described the heinous crime and said those dirty hands cannot even be washed in the vast Arabian Sea. The present-day politicians also cannot emerge honestly from their purely tainted character by taking a holy dip into the holy water of the Ganges.

When the elections come the politicians show much interest in using sharp remarks against other party’s leaders or candidates. They seem to forget at the same point of time about the problems and issues afflicting the common people. Whatever was happening in far-flung America during the presidential polls, we find a similar scenario appearing in our country during the general elections. No candidate is supposedly taking a deep interest in the five big problems existing at the constituency he or she contests the election in order to represent the people of that particular area. The Election Commission earmarks the electoral constituencies to help the elected representative develop the area. But how many efforts do they apply for the purpose after getting selected? They begin to act differently after voted to the parliament in the election.

It was really sad to say that Gandhian dream of making the villages completely self-reliant remained incomplete while Nehruvian dream of scientific and industrial development instilled an artificial attitude among us. We were fighting over the big gap created by these two conflicting notions. If the contesting candidates hasten to ponder over the genuine points, they would detract themselves from inflicting charges against one another.

When will our politicians think of becoming the real benefactor of the troubled, frightened and poor people? It was obvious for the poor voters to run after the political party or politicians promising them novel ideas and things. However, their politics destroy the expectations leading them to find a new ray of hope in another leader’s pledges.

Modi had promised something large and promising and the feeble populace reposed complete faith and confidence in the year 2014. However, Rahul Gandhi leaps up now with clearer promises in the year 2019. The leaders have not changed. The people have started thinking of a new outlook. Let us see which way the camel sits!

BJP manifesto –evidence of achievements and bona-fide for NEW INDIA

0

The Sankalp Patra of BJP for 2019 is the certificate of achievements of Narendra Modi’s government in the last 5 years and is also a credible proof for what his government wants to do in future to make NEW INDIA, the dream of millions of Indians.

Unlike the manifesto of congress party which is nothing but a stained kettle full of lies, promises and falsehood without any micro-details or details about how the promises would be implemented if the party is elected to power. In a sense the manifesto of congress party is nothing but full of tall promises and even if those promises are implemented, will do nothing to change the life of poor people or farmer or would solve the problem of unemployment. The manifesto of BJP on the other hand has several structural and concrete steps to solve all most all problems of India.

Congress has decided to sell dream because it knows that people of India will not elect the witty dynast to power so it wants to sell lies and false promises with the hope that some gullible people may believe the congress and would vote.

The manifesto of BJP is full of blue prints and working steps to build New India. As expected, for BJP and PM Modi, nation and national interest comes first, whereas for congress party, the family and the dynast are more important than the country. Therefore national security, zero tolerance towards terrorism, simpler and transparent procedures for the procurement of defence equipment’s in future, increased freedom and support to defence department are some of the commitments given in the manifesto of BJP.

The abrogation of article 370 and annulling of 35A, repatriation of Kashmiri Pandits back in Kashmir, implementation of common civil code, citizenship amendment without affecting the native culture, measures to uphold the age old tradition of Hindu temple – Sabarimala in Kerala are also stated in the manifesto.

Introduction of pension for farmers, interest free credit card for loan, measures to double farm income, 25 lakh crore investments in farm sector to improve productivity are some of the clear measures committed in the manifesto.

For middle class, tax reduction, simplification of GST, Pucca houses to all poor families by 2022, greater thrust for make in India and special efforts to boost the manufacturing sector to solve the problem of unemployment are other hallmark steps PM Modi has committed in the poll manifesto of BJP.

Clear and achievable measures and commitments are quite vivid in BJP manifesto whereas the manifesto of congress party is full of false promises and freebies aimed for vote bank politics. Hardly any vote bank politics or politics meant for votes or neglecting the agenda of sab ka vikas or jeopardising the economic growth of our nation, we can find in the BJP manifesto whereas only lies, false promises and freebies are present in the manifesto of congress party.

Even the Southern states like Tamil Nadu have lot to celebrate from the manifesto of BJP. BJP and Narendra Modi have clear plan to solve the perennial problem of water shortage in Tamil Nadu.

The manifesto of BJP is the foundation of NEW INDIA. It is the blue print to fulfill the aspirations of people. The BJP manifesto clearly spells not only the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi but step by step actions and clear milestones for the development of India and sab ka vikas.

From security of our nation to tax reduction to farm reform to fostering entrepreneurship to pucca houses for all poor people to pension scheme for poor farmers to medical reform to safeguarding our tradition to abrogation of article 370, every point stated in the manifesto of BJP are aimed at transforming India and not meant for vote bank politics as aimed by congress party in its manifesto.

Hope all the electorates and first time voters will pledge that they would contribute their best to make our country developed, secured and every Indian prosper by electing Narendra Modi and not the divisive, dynastic forces.

Stability versus instability, selfless service versus selfishness, democracy versus dynasty, honesty versus corruption, absolute fairness versus nepotism, development of nation versus development of own family are fighting the election in 2019.

The biggest karma i.e. duty of every Indian is to save India from the Tukde Tukde gangs and dynastic forces and make Narendra Modi once again our Prime Minister. Let us make India a developed state, the country that would define the destiny of the world, the country where every citizen has equal opportunity and encouragement, as envisaged by PM Modi.

BJP’s manifesto echoes credibility and reliability

0

I find the BJP manifesto for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections much more realistic and credible than the manifesto released by the opposition party few days back.

Making national security its topmost priority, BJP has maintained it’s non tolerant stance on terrorism and has promised to strengthen the armed forces. The credibility of this promise is unquestionable for the incumbent government has time and again proved that it will not be a silent spectator like previous governments when terrorism strikes the nation. The retaliation after Uri and Pulwana are too fresh in the minds of every Indian to be reminded again.

Congress has made an unrealistic promise of NYAY scheme which if implemented, will put insurmountable pressure on the middle class asking them not to be “selfish”. BJP, on the other hand has promised to reduce the poverty to single digits. Just a couple of days back, Arun Jaitley had revealed the stats the earlier 21.9% BPL population has reduced to about 17% in the last 7–8 years. With the current growth in GDP, it might further go down to single digit by 2024–25.

The BJP manifesto has said that it will build 60,000 KMs of National Highways if voted to power again. This again is not too difficult to believe since the government had built 39,350 KMs of highways in the five years, up by 70% of UPA-2’s 24,690 KM.

BJP has reiterated its tough stance on the abrogation of article 370 and 35-A of the constitution which provide automonous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and prohibits any non state resident to buy land in the state respectively. For BJP, the national interest has always been the topmost priority and it doesn’t shy away from making strong statement against anything that hampers the national development. Congress, on the other hand has maintained its diplomatic stand saying, “nothing will be done or allowed to change the Constitutional position”.

BJP has promised to focus on solid waste management in every village which can be totally believed taking into account the construction of 9 crore toilets under its Swachh Bharat Mission. I found nothing related to it Congress’ manifesto. I am not sure if they have mentioned about it.

Congress once again promised to waive off farmer’s outstanding loans continuing its freebie politics. While BJP has promised to work towards doubling their incomes by 2022.

These are some of the key areas where I found the BJP manifesto more credible than that of Congress.

In areas like women empowerment, startups, industrial development. NRC among others, both the parties have taken a strong stand and it’s difficult for me to decide what works better.

The politics of the absurd!

0

Everybody in the opposition is upset and their despair is palpable,’….such a mission should normally be announced to the nation and to the world by the relevant scientific authorities like the DRDO….this announcement comes in the midst of an election……!’ Lucky they didn’t ask for proof! Some are going ballistic talking about ‘capabilities’. The usage of the word,’capability’, comes with an either-or proposition. To affirm our capability to strike a satellite in low earth orbit, we certainly needed proof a posteriori.

On the contrary, to affirm it ‘a priori’ harping on ‘capability’ without ever conducting any test is utterly frivolous. Chidambaram, as is his won’t to be outrageously naive on the scale of reason, invokes the solemn code of secrecy to advance an ‘a priori’ argument! In today’s age, the secret about any strategic ballistic defence armament is dead on its arrival! And its seduction, as a deterrent, lies in its revelation and not in concealment! It seems, the PM understood this dynamics of deterrent better than anybody else. One also hears some experts opine that China never officially makes any such declaration. Well, China is a wall; Mr. Xi Ping is only entitled to write in the wall that he has officially become the ‘President for life’!

This reminds us of Edmund Burke who had famously commented, ‘their despair….arises not only from defect of comprehension, but, I fear, from some malignity of disposition!’ Now, who took the decision to go ahead with the A-SAT programme? And, whose decision was it that India required A-SAT? Besides, who would have been blamed if the ‘decision’ had failed? Well, this is emblematic of Burke’s first ‘defect’!

Secondly, by the same token of their ‘logic’ or the lack of it, the rambunctious declaration of ‘NYAY’ should have been made by an economist (of the stature of Milton Friedman, and no less) or a relevant economic institution (Raghuram Rajan is clamouring for an institutional status, he is the only Desi among umpteen economists and historians who predicted 2008 sub-prime crisis)! This amply demonstrates Burke’s second ‘defect’!

And the truth of the matter is that the declaration by PM has been made ex post facto, whereas, ‘NYAY’ is just a lofty promise! Woe to this model code of conduct which so impiously rejects the service of reason; it’s all fine for a drivel generator for his irresponsible drivel of absurdly outlandish doles. Well, a compulsive drivel has to speak louder than his noetic remit. It is not clear though from his boastful rhetoric that he has taken recourse to any pledge of honour to do away with his party’s famous ‘Maximum Income Guarantee’ scheme to benefit his legislators, partymen, cohorts, relatives et al.

We need delve into the promises implicit in ‘NYAY’ in some detail. ‘NYAY’ is quite different from Friedman’s ‘Negative Income Tax’ or the much touted theme of ‘Universal Basic Income’. Frankly, in the loftiness of its promise, and the swaggering confidence of its predictions, it far outdoes all the boasting conceivable from any available empirical evidence. And, there is nil evidence. The arrogance of its pretensions, in a manner provokes, and challenges us to an enquiry into its foundation. Well, it’s theoretical roots are unknown; literature on voluminous economic surveys is not a substitute for scholarly rigour.

When an earnest reader intends to submit ‘NYAY’ to the grind and rigour of some economic ‘apparatus criticus’, he only finds that the apparatus is hardly doing any scholarly justice, it is only popping up some familiar names. It has no bearings on any sound economic theory, IT IS ALL ABOUT CHARITY. What a drift, what a passage of NYAY…an out-rightly corrupt dispensation espousing the virtues of charity! Given that corruption is the only virtue his filial and political sires have bequeathed, this sudden change of heart, this benevolence is suspect.

It is impossible to corral the ever disputatious band of economists on issues of economic parameters save, perhaps, the figure of Direct Tax Collection, no disputes there! With Direct Tax Collection brought about by this government to more than 6% (all time high) of gdp now, it is time for charity! And the percentage of dole is roughly what you get after deducting the highest % of DTC ever achieved in 55 years. But then, how do you propose to finance the welfare schemes already in place and the dole together? You can’t do both, given the size of the kitty. You’ll have to rob Peter to pay Tom!

Promising/giving alms to needy/poor is plain charity! The idea of a democratic government becoming philanthropic is unfathomable, philanthropy as an economic activity is in the private domain. Governments have no ‘utility functions’, private individuals have. It is indisputable that any charitable activity is a public good from which the donors derive utility knowing that less fortunate people are better off through their charity (in some cases and involving a large no of people, the government intervention is sought to avoid the free rider problem). In the whole narrative of ‘NYAY’, one can easily discern the macabre attempts by its proponents appropriating prematurely their utility functions,’Votes’! The very demeanour on display during the NYAY press conference reminds one of Andreoni’s ‘the warm glow’!

The best argument against our democracy today, to spoil a famous quote of Churchill, is the blabber of waivals and charities! Dewey would be shocked beyond his grave looking at our democracy – that it is still beholden to the mid-wifery of inherited incumbency of a frater and a suror!

It is the outcome of a tryst with dynasty made by a political absurd. In the language of Albert Camus, a political absurd in a democracy can be best described as an aberration that comes to face to face in his search for political power in the universe of a cold electorate: he stands face to face with the irrational. The absurd is born of this confrontation between his need for power and the silence of the world. Well, his life, his despair for power is veritably absurd! And his dynastic inheritances are the experiences that further evoke notions and emotions of absurdity. Such realisations or encounters with the absurd leaves the individual with a set of choices: It begins with Political suicide which offers him the most basic ‘way out’ of absurdity; it implicitly declares that the ‘opposition is too much’. It then follows by a Leap of faith. To take a ‘leap of faith’, he must act with the ‘virtue of the absurd’.

In its invocation he is unencumbered by any other values or virtues. This is the case of proverbial Sisyphean toil. And he resorts to plain lying and swearing. It is manifest in the act of lying perpetually only to watch it bounce back and then having to lie again. The final choice lies in ‘Acceptance’ as the only remaining defensible action!

How to vote

0

As the General elections are knocking the door here’re some of the things that all of us should be aware of while voting .Your one vote to the wrong person can spoil the upcoming 5 years of your constituency.

1. Know the candidate running for election from your constituency. Do not blindly vote any party thinking that this party is a party with good faces so the candidate would also be spectacular. Know the Qualification , criminal record of the candidate before you vote him . This give you a better preview of him/her. If you blindly vote a party that party may be good it might do welfare at the centre but your constituency might not develop for the next five years if the candidate you voted for is not equal to the capability of his party.

2. Read the manifesto of the party you are voting for see if the manifesto matches with the new India you want to create. Manifesto would inform you about the party’s plans if it is voted to power . Keep in mind that manifesto’s just are promises that might not be fulfilled by a party. Today in India we need to ask ourselves that the promises made by these parties are actually true or not. We need to question the practicality of these thee promises . e.g – a party promises to Uniform Civil code in the country but in reality is it possible, concerning that some states also have special provisions.

3. Today as elections are approaching we need to debate with everyone to understand which party is promising what and how would it affect our daily lives. We should listen less to campaigning speeches in those campaigns are very boastful and the candidates don’t even mean most of the things they say. In India people Don’t understand the power of their vote by voting for anyone rather than the capable candidate. In most of the European or Western countries people have understood what power have they obtained by the gift of democracy and how they can use their right properly.

We need to understand the power which this democracy has provided us with. We need to educate people about voting and make a must to vote this General elections. Be the building block of the largest democracy of the world. Learn about more voter guidelines by the Election commission from here.

BJP announced its “Sankalp Patra” for 2019 General Election. The core focus of BJP in manifesto remains National Security, Welfare of Farmers & Poor and Infrastructure Development. The present NDA Government has successfully implemented majority of promises made in their 2014 manifesto. The 2014 manifesto of BJP represented hope for a country haunted by corruption, policy paralysis and terrorism. The Modi Government has successfully dealt with the issues of corruption, terrorism and policy implementation. The top ministers of Modi Government have not been found to be involved in any corrupt deal. There has not been a single terrorist attack in India excluding Jammu & Kashmir in last five years of Modi rule. And many major policy decisions like demonetization and GST, demonstrates the Modi Government’s political will to reform and develop India.  The 2019 Manifesto of BJP is continuation of developmental work under taken in the year 2014.

These measures will surely strengthen the security of the country taking care of infiltration from neighboring countries, which remains a major security threat to secular fabric of India.

The agricultural sector remains of utmost importance for India. Apart from ensuring food security, it contributes about 17% to economy. Agriculture also employs more than 50% of India’s working population. The BJP 2019 manifesto commits Rs. 25,00,000 Crore in improving productivity of farm sector. The manifesto also commits investment of Rs. 100,00,000 Crore in the area of infrastructure, this investment in infrastructure will flood the Indian economy will money and will provide greater liquidity with infrastructure to boost the Make in India initiative. The major Government expenditure in the area of farm and infrastructure sector aligned with good governance and policies will boost the GDP of the country by a great margin, paving way to achieve sustainable GDP growth with low levels of inflation.

The BJP 2019 manifesto also promises to give collateral-free credit up to Rs. 50 lakh for young entrepreneurs. It also commits to provide “Mudra” loans to small businesses, up to 30 Crore beneficiaries. Also, Rs. 20,000 Crore has been committed for ‘Seed Startup Fund’. All these along with strong employment opportunities from organised as well as unorganized sector will provide massive employment boost to the Indian economy. Initiatives like education for all, skill development, health schemes and women empowerment has the potential to bring down the number of people below poverty line by a substantial margin, with BJP committing to bring it down in a single digit number.

Considering above facts, the manifesto appears to be very promising with the potential to transform the nation in to a developed one. It provides ample opportunity for employment, better environment for businesses and small entrepreneurs. The best part of the “Sankalp Patra” is that, it is not divisive and it talks about inclusive development of all the countryman.
