वेदों में जाति-भेद नहीं

जाति-भेद से हमारा मतलब उस भेदभाव से है जो आज हमारे देश में फैला हुआ है, जिसके अनुसार आदमी का रहन-सहन, शादी-विवाह और अन्य सामाजिक व्यवहार केवल उसी जाति या बिरादरी में हो सकता जिसमें उसका जन्म हुआ है, चाहे उसके गुण, कर्म, स्वभाव और योग्यता कैसी भी हों।

इसके विपरीत वर्ण व्यवस्था जो प्राचीन भारत में प्रचलित थी और जिसके अनुसार समाज के सभी लोग चार वर्णों में विभक्त थे, जाति व्यवस्था से बिल्कुल अलग थी। वर्ण-व्यवस्था की बुनियाद मनुष्य के गुण, कर्म और स्वभाव पर आधारित थी न कि जन्म पर।

वेद जो हिन्दू धर्म के सबसे प्राचीन पुस्तक हैं जाति-भेद की आज्ञा नहीं देते। वेद में मनुष्यों के चार वर्ण बताये गए हैं- ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य और शूद्र। जिस वेद मंत्र में इन वर्णों का वर्णन है, उसको जाति भेद का पोषक बनाने के लिए उसके अर्थ का अनर्थ उसी प्रकार किया गया है जिस प्रकार आज बिहार के शिक्षा मंत्री द्वारा उस गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी के रामचरितमानस के पदों के साथ किया जा रहा है; जिनकी अनेक श्रेष्ठ रचनाएँ (दोहावली, कवितावली, श्री हनुमान चालीसा, सतसई, गीतावली आदि) हिन्दू जनमानस में गहराई से रची-बसी हैं और जिनका भारतीय सांस्कृतिक जीवन में विशेष स्थान है।

ऋग्वेद के 10 वें मंडल के जिस मंत्र को जाति-भेद का पोषक बनाया जाता है वह यह है –

ब्राह्मणोऽस्य मुखमासीद्बाहू राजन्य: कृतः ।

ऊरू तदस्य यद्वैश्य: पद्भ्यां शूद्रो अजायत ॥ (मण्डल -10, सूक्त-90, मन्त्र-12)

हिन्दू समाज को जातियों बांटकर रखवाले लोग इस मंत्र का अर्थ यह बताते हैं- “ब्राह्मण ब्रह्मा के सिर से, क्षत्रिय उसके बाहुओं से, वैश्य उसके जंघा से और शूद्र पैरों से उत्पन्न हुए।”

लेकिन यह अर्थ अशुद्ध है और मंत्र का सही अर्थ यह है- “ब्राह्मण उसका (अर्थात मनुष्य-समाज का) मुख है, क्षत्रिय को बाहु बनाया गया है। जो वैश्य है वह उसका मध्य भाग है और शूद्र पाँव बनाया गया है।”

अगले एवं पिछले मंत्रों की संगति मिलाने से पता चलता है कि इस मंत्र का सही अर्थ यही है। ऋग्वेद के सूक्त के 9 वें मंत्र में मानव समाज का एक पुरुष के सदृश चित्रण किया गया है। 11 वें मंत्र में यह प्रश्न किया गया है-

मुखं किमस्य कौ बाहू का ऊरू पादा उच्येते ।

अर्थात “उसका मुख क्या है, बाहु क्या हैं, मध्य भाग और पांव क्या कहे जाते हैं?” 12 वां मंत्र इसी प्रश्न का उत्तर है और उसका सही अर्थ वही है जो ऊपर हमने बताया है।

इस मंत्र से किसी भी प्रकार के जातिगत भेदभाव की पुष्टि नहीं होती। इसमें मानव समाज की व्याख्या पुरुष के शरीर के रूप में की गई है। ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य और शूद्र का संबंध मानव समाज से ऐसा है जैसा कि सिर, बाहु, मध्य भाग और पांव का शरीर से। ब्राह्मण जो शास्त्रों का अध्यन करते हैं और धर्म का उपदेश देते हैं, मानव समाज के मुख व सिर कहे गये हैं। क्षत्रिय जो बल धारी हैं और वो समाज के लोगों की रक्षा करते हैं तथा समाज की भुजा बताए गए हैं। वैश्य जो व्यापार के लिए देश-विदेश जाते हैं, खेती, बढ़ई, लुहार, सुनार आदि का काम करते हैं, समाज का मध्य भाग है। और शूद्र जो विद्या अध्ययन नहीं बल्कि केवल दूसरों की सेवा करते हैं समाज के पांव हैं। यह जातिगत भेदभाव नहीं हैं, बल्कि कार्य के अनुसार मानव समाज के विभाग का वर्णन है। इसका आधार जन्म नहीं बल्कि कर्म है।

देश और समाज को सुचारू रूप से चलाने के लिए इससे अच्छा विभाग और क्या हो सकता है? इस व्यवस्था में सबसे बड़ा स्थान विद्या और ज्ञान को दिया गया है, दूसरा बल एवं धन को। और क्या मानव शरीर में इन अंगों के यही स्थान नहीं पाये जाते? हमारा मस्तिष्क या सिर जो ज्ञान का स्थान है शरीर में सबसे ऊपर है, उसके नीचे ताकत और बल का प्रतिनिधित्व करती भुजाएं हैं और उसके नीचे धन का प्रतिनिधि उदर व हमारा पेट है और सबसे नीचे दो पैर, जो सारे शरीर की सेवा करते हैं। क्या दुनिया में मौजूद कोई मत मानव समाज के इससे अच्छे विभाग का विचार कर सकता है कि जिसमें ज्ञान और विद्या और धर्मपरायणता को धन और बल दोनों से ऊँचा स्थान दिया गया हो? इसके विपरीत पश्चिमी देशों की संस्कृति में सबसे ज्यादा महत्व धन को दिया जाता है।

इसलिए ऋग्वेद का यह मंत्र जन्म के आधार पर जाति-भेद का उपदेश नहीं देता बल्कि मनुष्य के कर्मों के विभाग से हमें अवगत करवाता है, जिसके बिना कोई भी सभ्य समाज सही तरीके से कार्य नहीं कर सकता। वेदों में ऐसा कोई मंत्र नहीं है जिसमें जातिगत भेदभाव की बात की गई हो। वेदों का उपदेश और सार जातिगत भेदभाव के बिल्कुल विरुद्ध है।

बिहार का अतिदुर्भाग्य भाग-२

मित्रो स्वागत है आपका इस दूसरे अंक में। प्रथम अंक में हमने विवेचना की बिहार राज्य में सत्ता का सुख भोग रहे कुछ सत्ताविरो के मानसिक स्थिति और जनता के प्रति उनकी सोच और अवधारणा की। इस अंक में हम माननीय शिक्षा मंत्री के विषवमन का शिकार बने रामचरितमानस के दूसरे चौपाई के बारे में सूक्ष्म अवलोकन करेंगे। आइये देखते हैं:-

माननीय शिक्षा मंत्री जी पेशे से प्रोफ़ेसर भी हैं अपने अज्ञान रूपी ज्ञान का उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करते हुए, एक अन्य दोहे के बारे में विष वमन करते हैं, उसे नारियो के विरोध में बताकर, वो कुछ इस प्रकार है:-“प्रभु भल कीन्ह मोहि सिख दीन्हीं। मरजादा पुनि तुम्हरी कीन्हीं॥ ढोल गंवार सूद्र पसु नारी। सकल ताड़ना के अधिकारी॥” यंहा गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी कहते हैं कि ये अच्छा किया प्रभु ने कि मुझे अच्छा ज्ञान दिया क्योंकि मर्यादा भी तो प्रभु के हि द्वारा उत्पन्न कि गई है। ढोल गवार, शूद्र पशु और नारी ये सभी ताड़ने अर्थात जानने या परखने योग्य हैं अर्थात इनको जाने बिना इनसे सहकार्य नहीं किया जा सकता।

अब इसी ” ढोल गंवार सूद्र पसु नारी। सकल ताड़ना के अधिकारी॥” वाले हिस्से को माननीय शिक्षा मंत्री जी जैसे विषधारीयो के द्वारा नारी, पशु और शूद्र के विरुद्ध बताकर समाज में घृणा फैलाई जाती है। इस चौपाई के इस हिस्से का अर्थ समझने के लिए हमें सर्वप्रथम इसमें प्रयोग किये गए शब्दों के अर्थ को समझना होगा, जो इस प्रकार हैं “ढोल अर्थात ढोलक, गवार अर्थात अज्ञानी या अनपढ़, शूद्र अर्थात वंचित वर्ग, पशु का अर्थ जानवर, नारी का अर्थ स्त्री, सकल मतलब पूरा या सम्पूर्ण, “ताड़ना” (जो सबसे अधिक बहुअर्थी शब्द है) का अवधि भाषा में अर्थ है देखना, पहचनाना या परख करना और अधिकारी का मतलब हक़दार”। इस प्रकार इस  चौपाई के इस हिस्से का अर्थ यह हुआ कि “ढोलक, अनपढ़, वंचित, जानवर और नारी, यह पांच पूरी तरह से जानने या परखने के विषय है।” इसे विस्तारपुर्वक इस प्रकार समझ सकते हैं:

१ :- ढोलक को अगर सही तरिके से नहीं “ताड़ा” अर्थात सही ढंग से थाप नहीं दी तो उसे संगीत के सुर और ताल से जोड़ा नहीं जा सकता अत: उससे संगीत के मधुर स्वर उतपन्न करने के लिए उसे जानना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। अतः ढोलक पूरी तरह से जानने या अध्ययन का विषय है। ढोलक या ढोल की प्रकृति को समझकर उस पर थाप देने से कर्णप्रिय संगीत का सृजन होता है। इसको इस प्रकार भी समझा जा सकता है “फल फूलन्ह सब डार ओढ़ाई। झुंड बंधि कै पंचम गाई।बाजहिं ढोल, दुंदुभी भेरी। मादक तूर, झांझ चहुं फेरी। नवल बसंत – नवल सब वारी, सेंदुर बुम्का, होर धमारी। अब यंहा पर “बाजहिं ढोल” शब्द का उपयोग किया गया है, बसंत ऋतू के स्वागत हेतु तो इसका अर्थ स्पष्ट है कि ढोल से स्वरबद्ध लहरी निकला रही संगीत की जब उसे बजाया जा रहा है और बजाने के लिए उस पर थाप देना अर्थात “ताड़” कर थाप देने से है।

२ :-इसी प्रकार अनपढ़ व्यक्ति आपकी किसी बात का गलत अर्थ निकाल सकता है या आप उसकी किसी बात को ना समझकर अनायास उसका उपहास उड़ा सकते हैं अतः उसके बारे में अच्छी तरह से जान लेना चाहिए। यंहा पर गवार अर्थात अनपढ़ व्यक्ति को ताड़ने से सीधा तात्पर्य है की हमें उस व्यक्ति के भावनाओ और उसकी प्रकृति को समझकर उसके साथ उचित व्यवहार करना चाहिए जिससे उसको किसी भी प्रकार ठेस पहुंचाए हम स्वय के द्वारा उसके लसखी को या उसके द्वारा स्वय के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। हमारे शास्त्रों ने गवाँर अर्थात मुर्ख या अनपढ़ व्यक्ति के पांच लक्षण बताये हैं जी इस प्रकार हैं “मूर्खस्य पञ्च चिह्नानि गर्वो दुर्वचनं तथा। क्रोधश्च दृढवादश्च परवाक्येष्वनादरः।। अर्थात– एक मुर्ख के पांच लक्षण होते है घमण्ड, दुष्ट वार्तालाप, क्रोध, जिद्दी तर्क और अन्य लोगों के लिए सम्मान में कमी।

३:-इसी प्रकार  वंचित व्यक्ति अर्थात शूद्र को भी जानकर ही आप किसी कार्य में उनका सहयोग ले सकते हैं अन्यथा कार्य में  असफलता का डर बना रहता है और यदि हम शूद्र व्यक्ति की योग्यता के बारे में जानकर उनका सहयोग प्राप्त करना चाहे किसी लक्ष्य कि प्राप्ति हेतु तो किसी भी असफलता के बगैर हम उस लक्ष्य को प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। वेद, मनुस्मृति, श्रीमद भगवत गीता, इत्यादि सभी पवित्र ग्रंथो में वर्णांत्मक व्यवस्था ही है, जातिगत व्यवस्था कहीं भी नहीं है। महाभारत के वन पर्व में इसका उल्लेख किया गया है जिसका सूक्ष्म विश्लेषण निम्न प्रकार से है “अशीलच्श्रापि पुरुषो भूत्त्वा भवति शीलवान्। प्रणिहिसारतच्श्राऽपि भवते धार्मिक: पुमान्।। (वनपर्व२०६-३३)  अर्थात पुरुष दुच्श्ररित्र होकर भी सुचरित्र हो सकता है और प्राणियो की हिंसा में रत रहने पर भी मनुष्य धार्मिक हो सकता है।

पापचेत् पुरुष: कृत्त्वा कल्याणमभिपधते। मुच्यते सर्वपापेभ्यो ,आहाभ्रेणेव चन्द्रमा:।। यथादित्य: समुधन् वै तम: पूर्व व्यपोहति। एवं कल्याणमातीष्ठन् सर्वपापै: प्रमुच्यते।। (वनपर्व२०६-५५-५६) शूद्रयोनौ हि जातस्य सद्गुणानुपतिष्ठत:। वेश्यतत्व लभते ब्रह्मन क्षत्रियत्त्व तथैव च।। अर्थात, शूद्रयोनी में भी उत्पन्न हुआ पुरुष यदि अपने में अच्छे गुणों को संग्रह करे, तो हे ब्रह्मन! वह वैश्य हो जाता है, और क्षत्रिय यदि सदाचार से जीवन यापन करे तो उसमे ब्राह्मण की योग्यता भी उत्पन्न हो जाती है।

४:-हम सब जानते हैं कि चार पैर वाले जीव (चौपाये) के पास सोचने एवं समझने की क्षमता मनुष्य जितनी नहीं होती इसलिए कई बार वो हमारे किसी व्यवहार, आचरण, क्रियाकलाप या गतिविधि से आहत हो जाते हैं और ना चाहते हुए भी असुरक्षा के भाव में असामान्य कार्य कर बैठते हैं अतः पशु को भी भली-भांति जान लेना चाहिए, उनसे किसी भी प्रकार का कार्य लेने से पूर्व। समान्य तौर पर पशु अकारण किसी पर आक्रमण नहीं करते, परन्तु कुछ पशु स्वभाव से ही हिंसक होते हैं। अत: पशुओं के व्यवहार और प्रकृति को समझे बिना उनसे किसी भी प्रकार का सम्पर्क नहीं करना चाहिए। हमारे शास्त्र पशुवत चरित्र का वर्णन करते हुए कहते हैं कि “येषां न विद्या न तपो न दानं ज्ञानं न शीलं न गुणो न धर्मः ।ते मृत्युलोके भुवि भारभूता मनुष्यरूपेण मृगाश्चरन्ति॥“अर्थात– जिन मनुष्यों के पास विद्या, तप, दान की भावना, ज्ञान,   शील (सत्स्वभाव), मानवीय गुण, धर्म में संलग्नता का अभाव हो वे इस मरणशील संसार में धरती पर बोझ बने हुए मनुष्य रूप में विचरण करने वाले पशु हैं। एक अन्य श्लोक में कहते हैं कि “साहित्यसंगीतकलाविहीनः साक्षात्पशुः पुच्छविषाणहीनः ।तृणं न खादन्नपि जीवमानस्तद्भागधेयं परमं पशूनाम्॥” अर्थात– जो मनुष्य साहित्य, संगीत, कला, से वंचित होता है वह बिना पूंछ तथा बिना सींगों वाले साक्षात् पशु के समान है। वह बिना घास खाए जीवित रहता है यह पशुओं के लिए निःसंदेह सौभाग्य की बात है।

५ :- अब हम आ जाते हैं “नारी” पर :-यदि आप स्त्रियों को नहीं समझते तो उनके साथ जीवन निर्वहन मुश्किल हो जाता है यहां स्त्री का तात्पर्य माता, बहन, पत्नी, मित्र या किसी भी ऐसी स्त्री से है जिनसे आप जीवनपर्यन्त जुड़े रहते हैं, ऐसे में आपसी सूझबूझ अत्यधिक आवश्यक होती है। रामचरित मानस में देवी मंथरा, माता कैकेयी, सुपर्णखा, माता  मंदोदरी, माता शबरी तथा  माता तारा इत्यादि विभिन्न नारियो के चरित्र का चित्रण प्राप्त होता है और स्वय गोस्वामी जी की अपनी पत्नी (देवी रत्नावली) जिन्होंने प्रभु राम के प्रेम में डूब जाने वाले वो अमोघ शब्द रूपी बाण छोड़े, जिन्होंने तुलसीदास को गोस्वामी तुलसीदास के रूप में विश्व विख्यात कर दिया ,जो निम्न प्रकार है:-“अस्थि चर्म मय देह यह, ता सों ऐसी प्रीति! नेकु जो होती राम से, तो काहे भव-भीत ” अर्थात ”मेरे इस हाड – मांस के शरीर के प्रति जितनी तुम्हारी आसक्ति है, उसकी आधी भी अगर प्रभु से होती तो तुम्हारा जीवन संवर गया होता।” सुनकर तुलसी सन्न रह गये, उनके हृदय में यह बात गहरे तक उतर गयी और उनके ज्ञान चक्षु खुल गये|  उनको अपनी अज्ञानता का एहसास हो गया। वे एक क्षण भी गवाये  बिना वहां से चल दिये और उनका ह्रदय परिवर्तन हो गया|  इन्ही शब्दों की शक्ति ने तुलसीराम को महान गोस्वामी तुलसीदास बना दिया| नारी की महिमा का वर्णन करते हमारे शास्त्र कहते हैं “यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यंते रमंते तत्र देवताः। यत्र तास्तु न पूज्यंते तत्र सर्वाफलक्रियाः।। अर्थात– जहाँ पर हर नारी की पूजा होती है वहां पर देवता भी निवास करते हैं और जहाँ पर नारी की पूजा नहीं होती, वहां पर सभी काम करना व्यर्थ है। भूमे:गरीयसी माता,स्वर्गात उच्चतर:पिता। जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गात अपि गरीयसी।। अर्थात  – भूमि से श्रेष्ठ माता है, स्वर्ग से ऊंचे पिता हैं। माता और मातृभूमि स्वर्ग से भी श्रेष्ठ हैं।

वैसे कई विद्वानो ने अपने लेखो में स्पष्ट किया है कि, गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी द्वारा रचित उक्त पंक्ति कुछ इस प्रकार है:-

ढोल गंवार सूद्र पसु रारी। सकल ताड़ना के अधिकारी॥” अर्थात जंहा पर गोस्वामी जी ने “रॉरी” शब्द का उपयोग किया है, उसे मानसिक रूप से बीमार लोगों ने “नारी” शब्द से बदल दिया। अब यंहा “रॉरी” शब्द का अर्थ है “झगड़ा करने वाला व्यक्ति” अर्थात ऐसा व्यक्ति जो हर बात में झगड़ा करने का तत्व ढूढने का प्रयास करता है, तो ऐसे व्यक्ति को ताड़ने की अत्यंत अवश्यक्ता होती है। इसीलिए ऐसे व्यक्तियों के स्वभाव को स्पष्ट करते हुए हमारे शास्त्रों ने कहा है कि “दुर्जन:स्वस्वभावेन परकार्ये विनश्यति। नोदर तृप्तिमायाती मूषक:वस्त्रभक्षक:।।” अर्थात– दुष्ट व्यक्ति का स्वभाव ही दूसरे के कार्य बिगाड़ने का होता है। वस्त्रों को काटने वाला चूहा कभी भी पेट भरने के लिए कपड़े नहीं काटता।

माननीय शिक्षा मंत्री जी के लिए तो केवल ईतना ही कह सकते हैं: न विना परवादेन रमते दुर्जनोजन:। काक:सर्वरसान भुक्ते विनामध्यम न तृप्यति। अर्थात– लोगों की निंदा किये बिना दुष्ट व्यक्तियों को आनंद नहीं आता। जैसे कौवा सब रसों का भोग करता है। परंतु गंदगी के बिना उसकी तृप्ति नहीं होती।

और नितीश जी याद रखिये “दुर्जन:परिहर्तव्यो विद्यालंकृतो सन। मणिना भूषितो सर्प:किमसौ न भयंकर:।। अर्थात– दुष्ट व्यक्ति यदि विद्या से सुशोभित भी तो अर्थात् वह विद्यावान भी हो तो भी उसका परित्याग कर देगा। चाहिए जैसे मणि से सुशोभित सर्प क्या भयंकर नहीं होता? तो मित्रों इस प्रकार हम सबने देखा कि किस प्रकार बिहार को एक बार पुन: हिन्दुओ को आपस में लडाने की पूरी योजना बना ली गई है और समाज में जहरीले बयान देकर बस अग्नि प्रज्वलित करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है, क्योंकि इनको लगता है कि हिन्दुओ के खून से हि इनको सत्ता का सुख मिल सकता है।

बिहार का अतिदुर्भाग्य: भाग-१

मित्रों बिहार का दुर्भाग्य से पीछा नहीं छूट रहा। जिस बिहार की धरती ने नंद, मौर्य और शुंग जैसे महाप्रतापी राजवन्श दिया। जिस बिहार की पवित्र धरती ने राजकुमार सिद्धार्थ को कैवल्य प्रदान कर भगवान् बुद्ध का स्वरूप दिया। जो बिहार तर्पण, ज्ञान, त्याग और प्रेम की धरती है! जिस धरती के वीरो के आगे सिकन्दर नत्मस्तक होकर भाग निकला। जिस बिहार की धरती पर आचार्य चाणक्य ने “अर्थशास्त्र” जैसे ग्रन्थ की रचना की। जिस बिहार से पटना साहिब जैसी पवित्र भूमि जुडी है। जो बिहार की धरती इस देश में आधे से अधिक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी (IAS officer) उत्पन्न करती है, उस बिहार से वर्तमान परिवेश में जो दुर्भाग्य जुड़ा है, वो पीछा छोड़ने का नाम हि नहीं ले रहा।

कभी मगध और पाटलिपुत्र के गठजोड़ से दुनिया भर में अपने ज्ञान और सम्रद्धि से सम्पूर्ण विश्व को चकाचौंध कर देने वाला बिहार आज अपनी पहचान के लिए संघर्ष कर रहा है।

जातिवाद और मुसलिम तुष्टिकरण के नापाक अस्त्र का उपयोग करते हुए लालू प्रसाद यादव जी के भयानक रक्तपात और भ्रष्टाचार के काले अध्याय ने बिहार की सांसो में वो ज़हर घोला की बिहारियों का शीश हर समय झुका रहता था। लोग बिहारियों को हेय दृष्टि से देखना शुरू कर दिए थे। एक बड़े नेता का यह कहना कि “एक बिहारी सौ बीमारी” अपने आप में सारी कहानी और सच्चाई स्पष्ट कर देता है।

खैर बिहार के किस्मत ने उस समय करवट ली जब लालू प्रसाद यादव जी का भयानक और रक्तपात युक्त भ्रष्टाचारी राज ,जनता ने समाप्त किया और नितीश कुमार मुख्यमंत्री बने भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सहयोग से। वैसे तो नितीश कुमार जी “सुशासन” बाबू के नाम से मशहूर हुए परन्तु बिहार कि किस्मत ना बदल सकी। सुशासन बाबू ने बिहार के विकास के स्थान पर अपने स्वार्थ पूर्ति को प्रथम कर्तव्य माना और अपनी महत्वकांक्षा को पूरा करने के लिए कभी भाजपा तो कभी आरजेडी अर्थात लालू जी कि पार्टी की गोद में बैठते रहे और यही कारण था कि लालू जी के सपूतो ने उन्हें “पलटू चाचा” के नाम से कुख्यात कर दिया।

पिछले विधानसभा चुनाव में “ये मेरा आखिरी चुनाव है” का संकेत देकर जनता कि भावनाओं से खेलने वाले नितीश कुमार अपनी महत्वकांक्षा को दबा नहीं पाये और अपने चरित्र् और प्रकृति के अनुसार एक बार फिर पलट कर लालू जी के सपूतो कि गोद में जा बैठे क्योंकि अब उनको देश का प्रधानमंत्री जो बनना था। नितीश कुमार जी ने बिहार के १० से ज्यादा कीमती वर्ष अर्थहीन करने और बिहार को उसके अंधकारमय भविष्य के साथ छोड़ अब देश के भविष्य को अंधकार में ढकेलने के लिए कमर कस लिया है।

अब ज़रा बिहार की वर्तमान स्थिति के ऊपर ज़रा दृष्टि डाले तो तीन घटनाओ ने नितीश कुमार और लालू जी के सपूतो कि मिली जुली सरकार के राज की भयानकता और अराजकता को उजागर कर दिया है जो निम्न प्रकार है:-

१:- नकली शराब कांड ने बिहार के कई परिवारों को उजाड़ दिया। शराब बंदी करने के पश्चात जो नकली और जहरीली शराब बनाकर लोगों तक पहुंचाने वाले दानव वर्ग पर वो लगाम नहीं लगा पाये जिसके कारण मैं परिवारो के लिए रोटी कमाने वाले लोग असमय काल के ग्रास बन गए। और जब नीतिश जी से पूछा गया तो उन्होंने अपने राजधर्म का पालन करते हुए कहा “पियोगे तो मरोगे” और अपना पल्ला झाड लिया।

२:-बिहार के बेरोजगार ने जब रोजगार कि माँग रखी तो बिहार कि सरकार ने उन पर लाठियां बरसा दी, बेचारे युवा अपने शरीर पर सरकार द्वारा दी गई चोटो से कराहते हुए सोच रहे हैं कि आखिर उनकी गलती क्या थी।

३:-कई महीनो से अपनी धरती को विकास के नाम पर सरकार द्वारा छीन लिए जाने पर मुवावजा कि माँग पर ८० दिनों से धरने पर बैठे अन्नदाताओ को उनके घर में आधी रात को बिहार पुलिस ने घुस कर जबरदस्त लाठीया बरसाई और उनके अरमानो को लहूलुहान कर दिया।

४:- नितीश कुमार जी ने एक बार फिर से सनातन धर्मी समाज को जातिवाद के जहर से बाटने का अपना महान कार्य  शुरू कर दिया, जातिगत  जनगणना शुरू कराकर।

५:- नितीश कुमार जी की  सरकार यही नहीं रुकी अपितु उनके सरकार के शिक्षा मंत्री ने जातिगत युद्ध कराने की भी पृष्ठभूमि रच दी वो भी एक शिक्षा मंदिर में। ये विधायक हैं श्रीमान चन्द्रशेखर यादव। ये महाशय शिक्षा मंत्री है और अपनी शिक्षा का ज्ञान बाटते हुए उन्होंने विद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों के समक्ष महाकवि गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी द्वारा रचित “श्री रामचरित मानस” को नफ़रत फैलाने वाला बतलाया।

६:- जब किसानों को पिटे जाने वाले मुद्दे पर जब लालू जी के सपूत होने के कारण बिहार के उप मुख्यमंत्री श्री तेजस्वी यादव जी से पूछा गया तो उन्होंने अपने कर्तव्य का पालन करते हुए कहा कि “मुझे जानकारी नहीं”।

७:- जब नितीश कुमार जी से उनके शिक्षा मंत्री के ज़हर घोलने वाले और जातिगत युद्ध भड़काने वाले वक्तव्य के बारे में पूछा गया तो उन्होंने अपने कर्तव्य का पालन करते हुए और अपने ज्ञान का प्रदर्शन करते हुए कहा कि “उन्हें पता नहीं, मंत्री जी से पुछेंगे”!

अब आप स्वय उपर्युक्त तथ्यों के बारे में तनिक विचार किजिये कि ये नितीश कुमार प्रधानमंत्री बनना तो दूर कि बात क्या बिहार का मुख्यमंत्री बने रहने लायक हैं। मित्रों पहले जातिगत जनगणना कराने का निर्णय और फिर सनातन धर्मीयों के मध्य जातिगत युद्ध कराने वाले बयान देकर नितीश कुमार जी के सरकार ने अपना इरादा स्पष्ट कर दिया है।

और ऐसे हि लोगों के लिए हमारे शास्त्रों ने कहा है कि:-

 मूर्खे नियोज्यमाने तु त्रयो दोषाः महीपतेः।

अयशश्र्चार्थनाशश्र्च नरके गमनं तथा॥

मूर्ख मानव की नियुक्ति करने वाले राजा के तीन दोष अपयश, द्र्व्यनाश और नरकप्राप्ति हैं।

आज बिहार कितनी भयानक परिस्थिति से गुजर रहा है, इस तथ्य का अनुमान इसी बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि अपराध और भ्रष्टाचार को रोकने में विफल होने वाला मुख्यमंत्री ये कह कर कि “पियोगे तो मरोगे” अपने दायित्व से भाग जाता है। अपने पिता के परिश्रम का फल भोग रहा उप मुख्य मंत्री अपने राज्य में होने वाले बेरोजगारों की पिटाई और किसानों के दमन के बारे में कुछ नहीं जनता और वहीं शिक्षा मंत्री करोड़ो रामभक्तो की आस्था को अपने जहरीले मंतव्य और षड्यंत्र के तहत कुचलते हुए नफरत का बीज बो रहा है, और वो भी केवल इसीलिए कि एक विशेष मजहब का वोट उसे मिलेगा तथा हिन्दुओ को जाती विशेष में तोड़कर इनका भी वोट प्राप्त कर वह सत्ता और शक्ति का सुख भोगेगा।

हमारे शास्त्र एक राजा के उत्तरदायित्व को निम्न प्रकार से निरूपित करते हैं:-

प्रजासुखे सुखं राज्ञः प्रजानां च हिते हितम्।

नात्मप्रियं हितं राज्ञः प्रजानां तु प्रियं हितम्।।

:- प्रजा के सुख में राजा का सुख निहित है; अर्थात् जब प्रजा सुखी अनुभव करे तभी राजा को संतोष करना चाहिए। प्रजा का हित ही राजा का वास्तविक हित है। वैयक्तिक स्तर पर राजा को जो अच्छा लगे उसमें उसे अपना हित न देखना चाहिए, बल्कि प्रजा को जो ठीक लगे, यानी जिसके हितकर होने का प्रजा अनुमोदन करे, उसे ही राजा अपना हित समझे।

अब ये बिहार के वर्तमान मुख्यमंत्री, उपमुख्यमंत्री और शिक्षा मंत्री को किस प्रकार समझाया जाए, वो कौन सी भाषा है, जिसे वो समझते हैं। बिहार के शिक्षा मंत्री ने श्रीरामचरितमानस  की जिस दोहे को लेकर विष से भरा वमन किया है, वो निम्न प्रकार है:-

“हर कहुँ हरि सेवक गुर कहेऊ। सुनि खगनाथ हृदय मम दहेऊ॥

अधम जाति मैं बिद्या पाएँ। भयउँ जथा अहि दूध पिआएँ॥”

उत्तरकांड में यह काकभुशुंडी कौवा और गरुड़ दोनों पक्षीयो के मध्य हुए संवाद का हिस्सा है। जिसमें काकभुशुंडी गरुड़ से अपने गुरु और अपने मध्य के प्रकरण का उल्लेख कर रहे हैं।इसका अर्थ है: गुरुजी ने शिवजी को हरि का सेवक कहा! यह सुनकर हे पक्षीराज! मेरा हृदय जल उठा, नीच जाति (कौवा) का मैं विद्या पाकर ऐसा हो गया जैसे दूध पिलाने से साँप॥ यहां कौवारुपी काकभुशुंडी स्वय  को नीच कह रहे है, लेकिन बिहार के शिक्षामंत्री ने बड़ी ही कुटिलता से और निम्न कोटि कि निकृष्ट मानसिकता का मनोरोग दर्शाते हुए और  हिंदू समाज को बांटने के उद्देश्य से इस दोहे को अत्यंत हि घटिया ढंग से परिवर्तित कर दिया और केवल एक पंक्ति कहकर जहर फैलाया कि “अधम जाति में  बिद्या पाएँ। भयउँ जथा अहि दूध पिआएँ॥”

अब आप ध्यान से देखिये ऊपर दिए गए दोहे में यही पंक्ति कुछ इस प्रकार है” अधम जाति मैं बिद्या पाएँ। भयउँ जथा अहि दूध पिआएँ॥ यंहा “अधम जाति मै” लिखा है जबकि विषाक्त चन्द्रशेखर ने इसको “अधम जाती में” पढ़ कर सुनाया जो को स्पष्ट रूप से इनके विषाक्त मंतव्य को सामने लाता है।

तो मित्रों इस प्रकार हम सबने देखा कि किस प्रकार बिहार को एक बार पुन: हिन्दुओ को आपस में लडाने की पूरी योजना बना ली गई है और समाज में जहरीले बयान देकर बस अग्नि प्रज्वलित करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है, क्योंकि इनको लगता है कि हिन्दुओ के खून से हि इनको सत्ता का सुख मिल सकता है। खैर बिहार आतंकित है एक बार फिर कई वर्ष पीछे जाने के लिए।

The Pongal festival of 2023, the DMK government may not be in a mood to celebrate with all the festivities the Pongal deserves because of Annamalai phenomenon, which has stolen the thunder and Annamalai has become a nightmare to DMK. 

Today DMK fear Annamalai more than BJP.  One may wonder how we can separate Annamalai and BJP.   But in Tamil Nadu, Annamalai is BJP, like how Modi and Amit Shaw in central BJP.  Tamil Nadu in the past has seen a charismatic leader like Dr MGR, very brave and bold Amma J Jayalalithaa and a great orator K Karunanidhi. The most common thing with all the three leaders was that they strongly occupied the emotional space in people, therefore they could remain relevant throughout. None of the high ranking political leader in Tamil Nadu has ever occupied the intellectual space, become the role model, turned into the aspiration and hope, motivation and strength, the status of ultimate savior of Tamil Nadu from the dynastic, corrupt politics of DMK, like Annamalai. 

DMK has several star speakers who knows only to keep the audience engaged through many derogatory remarks on opposition leaders. But time has changed, the present day youths may not like such speeches and hence most of such DMK platform speakers have gone jobless. In DMK, no one knows to how to present data points, prove the statement, convince the listener and above all, achieve the total and complete admiration and acceptance of the listener like Annamalai. 

DMK is known only for making very substandard remarks, abusive statements & doing daylight rowdy-ism, therefore dealing Annamalai phenomenon intellectually is totally new to them. By spreading lies and negativism through social media space, DMK could not tarnish the reputation of Annamalai because the present day generation knows how to verify and validate every data that is presented to them.  Thanks to smartphone and data support available in every mobile phone, the older generation also has started to verify and do fact check which has totally exposed DMK and its ugly negative politics. 

Annamalai is the best gift of BJP to Tamil Nadu in particular and to India in general. Like Modiji, Annamalai has changed the game of Tamil Nadu politics, its rules, narrative and finally he has brought fact based political discourse and not third rate political rhetoric, the DNA of DMK. 

So far BJP was practicing hard core ideological warfare in TN by highlighting the historical facts about spiritual renaissance; which DMK has very systematically destroyed. Tamil Nadu politics is strongly cult based and hence DMK can be fought only on such line, which Modiji has realized and that is how Annamalai has be made president of BJP, TN. 

Today no one in DMK has the wherewithal intelligence or personal integrity to dialogue with Annamalai in an open forum, face to face.   

It was also believed widely that corruption cannot be used as a great poll issue in Tamil Nadu as people of the state is stated to have already adjusted to corruption. But Annamalai has broken all such shackles and notions. He is focusing on current affairs, exposing every minute acts of DMK, following DMK government like its shadow but acting like the third eye. Today the top rank leaders of DMK are very restless and jittery of Annamalai before engaging in any big ticket scam. They have to use the bottom line office bearers of the party to generate revenue for them, obviously due to Annamalai. 

Annamalai is not just exposing the corruptions of DMK, linking them well with the history of DMK, dynastic cult, reasons and finally also presenting how such corrupt acts of DMK is systematically destroying the future and destiny of millions of youths in Tamil Nadu. When Annamalai present all such facts, he also reflects those tall poll promises of DMK to send a clear message to the people as why none of them have been fulfilled by DMK but instead showing great urgency to install Udayanidhi into the cabinet.     

DMK could not deal Annamalai as the party has never learned the politics based on facts and truth.  Negative politics, politics of rowdy-ism and hatred, DMK cannot play the same politics hereafter because of the strong social media presence and also DMK cannot spread lies which can be easily verified thanks to internet connection, the revolution brought by Modiji as a part of Digital India. 

The constant engagement of Annamalai with people, getting insiders from government to provide more inside details for revelation to public and also if necessary, Annamalai must request the Governor’s office to reveal the lies of DMK, all the above approaches BJP must play. 

DMK knows only to tell lies and play hatred and negative politics. If DMK has been squeezed from doing so, DMK will shrink and disappear from the political space of Tamil Nadu obviously because DMK does not know real politics. Annamalai was the first to tell people the hidden proposal of DMK government to construct a new assembly building near Mammalapuram and also the possible reasons for such move.

The month of April 2023 is not far away, Annamalai is going to reveal more shocking truths about DMK government, which the people of Tamil Nadu are eagerly waiting. People of Tamil Nadu wish April should come fast but for DMK, March should never end, that is the prayer. Annamalai needs complete support of central leadership of BJP as he has brought severe cracks in the politics of DMK and soon the foundation of DMK is going to fall, therefore Annamalai and all those who support him are at the negative list of DMK. History of DMK in dealing its opponents is well known.

Patriotism and truth

When we talk about patriotism, this question arises itself that what is patriotism and who are patriots. The most appropriate definition of patriotism might be, “to think good about the people of the Nation and the Nation is patriotism”. Now, the most appropriate definition of patriot might be, “those who are following patriotism are patriots”. Now, we should start our journey from top to bottom and think about who are patriots.

At the top comes politicians, then officers, then business persons, then government staffs and in the last comes the public. Being in a democratic situation, ideally the public should be at the top but all of us are well aware of the truth and we know that what is the condition of the public even being in a democratic situation. Although, the source of power is public but ultimately what is the final destination of the power is known by everyone and it is also known very well that who are the manipulators of this power.

When we did get independence, we had a lot of hope from our governments. It was well known that now republican democracy would be established. It is also known very clearly that who are most important in a republican democracy. It is clear that these are people. But the situation of the people is also well known. These are the people who are suffering from every type of problems. There are two basic needs of people. First is health and second is education. When we look at the stand of the governments, it becomes clear like a crystal that what do the governments want.

It might be that district hospitals, hospitals in the capitals of States and the capital of the Nation would be in a good condition but what are the conditions of the block hospitals. Block hospital is also known as Primary Health Center (PHC). Block is one of the most important administrative units in India and it is this administrative unit which is responsible for the development of any block. Leaving aside the situation of corruption, we will talk about this later. If the basic needs of people can not be fulfilled at the block level then it would be almost next to impossible to establish an ideal situation which our great ancestors had established in the past.

When we have crossed 75 years of our independence, it might be a hope of the people that there would be good health infrastructure at block level, services would be provided with sympathy and good behaviour, doctors, nurses and other staffs would be available every time and there would be a complete patient centric establishment. But when we go to Primary Health Centers, we get the situation different from what is expected at most of them.

Now come to the situation of education. On the name of education most of the parents are sending their children at private schools. What is this? Why do we pay taxes? Only to get saved externally not internally. Now I want to pose a question that what do you do with our taxes. And how much do you spend on us out of those taxes? These questions are not to any specific government rather these are to all the governments since the time of independence. Different political parties are talking lot of things about the poor, SCs, STs and OBCs.

But here there might be raised a question that who are sending their children at government schools. From which classes most of these students are? Aren’t they from poor? Aren’t they from SCs? Aren’t they from STs? Aren’t they from OBCs? If they are from these classes then what are you doing? Aren’t you playing with their life? When the matter comes of your children, you send your children to the best private schools in India or abroad? Whats about the children of the public? Most of the political parties are talking about the reservations of the reserved classes but what would they do with those reservations when they wouldn’t get the proper education.

When you are just talking about the reservations then you are cheating reserved classes and the Nation both amid. How do you cheat the reserved classes? It is generally seen that only those people are taking the benefits of reservations who have some education since the starting and are in benefits since the starting but rest the people of the reserved classes mostly do not get the proper benefits of the reservations. How do you cheat the Nation? When do you promote only reservations rather than equal standard quality education then definitely you do not let the Nation use the best people at the best places. Here one more thing can be brought into notice that by talking about reservations you try to make the people fool. What is reservation?

It can be simply defined that the theory of reservation has accepted that the source is limited and out of this limited source some parts of it are distributed among some classes of people. By means of reservations, politicians are playing at two fronts. At one they are creating class conflict in the society and this class conflict helps them during elections. At second they get rid of the responsibility of increasing the source.

In this way they use the human resource for their own purpose rather than for making the Nation Great. When we look at the misuse of human resources by politicians and political parties, it becomes clear to us that they are also restricting the spiritual development of human beings. How can a man get spiritual height when he wouldn’t follow the right path?

Now come to the point of corruption. Most of the people think that only taking bribes is corruption. Yes, it is a fact that taking bribes is a form of corruption but there are many other things which come under corruption. Being a government staff it is your responsibility to do the works of the public properly at the right time. But when you fail in doing this, it also reveals your corruption and it is also a form of corruption.

At last the question remains the same. What’s about the public? Will they always be cheated by all? Even in all such conditions there is no other way than to hope from the governments. It is hoped that they would bring changes in the government hospitals and government schools and provide equal standard quality education to the whole Nation. And this hope has become strong due to two great personalities of the present time whom I want to address Rajarshis. These two great personalities are Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi Ji and Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji.

Our revered Prime Minister has brought drastic changes at the central level which have added too much in the life of the general public and have uprooted many hurdles of their day to day life. Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji is doing his best in Uttar Pradesh. He has dedicated and devoted his life in the service of the people of Uttar Pradesh. He is a complete public centric leader and after coming to power he is busy day and night in the service of the people of Uttar Pradesh. Before his coming to power Uttar Pradesh was almost in chaos but after coming to power he tried to control that condition of chaos and got success.

At personal capacity and as a Chief Minister, he stood with the people of Uttar Pradesh in every condition. Who can forget the corona epidemic when most of the politicians were frightened to go in public but it was Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji who didn’t only go in public rather stood with them at each step. This courage, will power, administrative and ruling capacity and public centric nature of Shri Yogi Adityanath has made a landmark and will be always remembered in the democracy of India and human history.

There is a need of leaders like Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji in all the States and Union Territories. And the way showed by Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi Ji and Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji will definitely generate leaders like them in future. If governments will be completely public centric then definitely the Nation would be on the right path. With all such hopes I am putting the end to this article.

Elon Musk and Adani: A nightmare for the left

A misnomer

Two pivotal events, one in the USA and  the other in India, have shaken the foundations of the Left-Liberal world: Elon Musk’s acquisition of the microblogging platform Twitter and Adani Group becoming a major stakeholder in NDTV.

To understand why these acquisitions have caused large-scale conniption fits among a certain entitled class one needs to understand the background of these platforms.

Let’s first talk about NDTV. It’s no secret that for multiple decades the channel has been a big-time propaganda machine against the BJP in general and Narendra Modi in particular. The channel tilts toward any party, entity, or organization that works to erode the roots of the BJP. It can be the Congress party. It can be the Left. It can be the divisive forces from minority communities. It can be the vicious, foreign-funded NGO cabal that aims to derail every major development project being carried out by the BJP governments at the state and the central levels.

It can be the Naxalites waging war against the state and slaughtering innocent civilians. It can even be terrorists and separatists from Jammu and Kashmir, and across the border. For them, the end justifies the means, and they can be any means. They haven’t just blurred the line between right and wrong, they have yanked it out and burned it on the bonfire of journalistic ethos.

They are so vehemently and brazenly anti-BJP that they don’t even pretend to be otherwise.

Traditionally, NDTV has been in cahoots with the Congress party and the Communist party because many senior journalists and administrators in the so-called news media channel have deep connections with these outfits. It’s not just ideological inclinations that have the journalists and the management of the propaganda news outlet enamored with the Congress party and the Communists. Many senior journalists and people in top positions have direct relationships with the leaders of these parties.

Though, who is related to whom and whose spouse or relative or close friend hobnobs with which political outfit is a matter of personal choice, when these relationships and affiliations begin to bear upon your journalistic judgments, even those sitting on the fence are drawn to the center of the contention and begin to judge as well as analyze your propensities. For the context, hence, it becomes important to know who is related to whom in the quagmire of NDTV.

Radhika Roy, Prannoy Roy’s wife, is the co-founder and part owner of NDTV. Her sister is Brinda Karat, the wife of Prakash Karat, who is the ex-general secretary of CPI(M) – Communist Party of India (Marxist). Arundhati Roy, as per the information available on the Internet, is a cousin of Prannoy Roy, or at least she is a distant relative.

Senior editor Sonia Singh’s husband, RPN Singh, was Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Congress government, though, in recent times he seems to have distanced himself from the Congress party.

These are just a few examples. It is known that young journalists at NDTV were hired due to their close proximity to the Congress ecosystem or the side of bureaucracy that depends on the Congress ecosystem or the communists for its survival, prosperity, and unbridled power.

Sources in the NDTV have revealed that during job interviews it was specifically asked whether applicants had relationships or connections with people in the corridors of power, especially close to the Congress party, and if they didn’t, they were rejected.

NDTV has thrived due to these connections. Prannoy Roy was once so influential that he was able to sabotage a top-level meeting between Atal Bihar Vajpayee and Parvez Musharraf by smuggling out a secret videotape. The news channel celebrated its 25th anniversary in Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House). Never before had a private enterprise been allowed to hold a function in the iconic building.

Why does this information matter in the current context?

NDTV has been the pallbearer of the Left-Liberal ecosystem because it pedals a certain narrative that is antithetical to India’s nationalistic resurgence, especially advocated and accelerated by the BJP.

Why is it so, you may ask. Why is the Left-Liberal ecosystem against India emerging as a global superpower using its indigenous intellectual progress and a culturally Hindu bent of mind?

To understand this, you need to wrap your head around this whole concept of being Left-Liberal. Don’t get swayed by the lofty nomenclature “liberal.” Among these circles, being a “liberal” has nothing to do with being a liberal. They are the most illiberal lot when it comes to accepting different beliefs.

It’s all about politics, economics, and to an extent religion.

India is often subject to multidimensional attacks. People who have studied India, people who know its ancient history, know that what India achieved a couple of thousand years ago it can achieve again, in the coming decades. It can upstage any country. It just needs a spark to trigger its growth. Having been in the grip of foreign occupations – first Islamic and then European – the Indian civilisation has been battered physically and psychologically, elucidated in detail by the Nobel Prize winner V. S. Naipaul in his book “India: A Wounded Civilisation.” Nationalistic parties like the BJP aim to reverse the psychological and physical impact.

Therefore, the forces that don’t want India to unchain itself from centuries of subjugation keep alive this Left-Liberal ecosystem to run an ongoing propaganda. The times of direct warfare are over. Most of the wars are fought through agenda via a nefarious web of non-profit organizations, activists, intellectuals, influencers, journalists, and politicians. Governments all over the world have been overthrown like this without direct military intervention.

How can India’s growth be curtailed?

Keep it communally divided. Crush its cultural and historical spirit. Keep it politically unstable. Don’t let it develop its own infrastructure. Strongly discourage manufacturing industries in the name of preserving ecology and the environment. Keep a big chunk of the population poor, illiterate, and backward.

The Left-Liberals are the foot soldiers of the forces inimical to India’s economic, cultural, ideological, and physical development.

The Left-Liberals need a well-oiled propaganda machine. For this cabal to succeed, it’s very important for them to mislead people. It is critical for them to tell false stories. It is important that they continuously propagate victimhood narratives among the minorities and keep the Hindu majority perpetually apologetic.

They must paint doomsday scenarios because their favorite political masters are not in power. They need to continuously say that the country is in the throes of communal disharmony due to the divisive politics of the BJP.

So far, NDTV has been a critical component of this propaganda machine. It is also a significant source of (mis)information for the international network of media outlets that are dominated by a similar Left-Liberal coterie. NDTV publishes and broadcasts misleading news, and then international media outlets like The Washington Post and The New York Times pick up the stories and provide them an international platform.

It is a self-sustained, self-feeding ecosystem that produces and propagates agenda-driven stories. International propaganda activities are given a local twist and then distributed among the local audiences by outlets like NDTV, and national falsehoods are seeded by the likes of NDTV and then propagated by the international outlets. The cycle continues.

NDTV has also had a notorious reputation for playing into the hands of terrorists – during the 26/11 attacks, Barkha Dutt who was employed at NDTV at that time, was blamed by many observers for revealing the locations of the victims on live TV and consequently jeopardizing their lives. Her excesses during the Kargil war have been well documented during which she exposed Indian military positions.

The Pakistani establishment used the statements made by Ravish Kumar to criticize the Indian government. Ravish had commented that the coverage of terrorism from Pakistan was advantageous to the BJP and the Indian media shouldn’t cover this aspect much.

The recent acquisition by the Adani Group seems to have thrown a spanner in the works. Typically, big business houses like Ambanis and Adanis cannot afford to have political affiliations. They need to keep all the politicians happy. Recently, Adani, often accused of being close to Narendra Modi, obtained lucrative projects in the state of Rajasthan, which is ruled by the Congress party, and in the state of West Bengal, which is ruled by the Trinamool Congress party.

So, it would be naïve to say that  a seasoned businessman like Adani would directly display his political connectedness and meddle too much with day-to-day affairs of the news network. Nonetheless, according to the popular perception, he is known to be close to the Modi government, and just the fact that someone close to Modi has purchased a large stake of the channel is likely to give sleepless nights to many. This is not just a matter of paranoia; recently, veteran Modiphobic Ravish Kumar resigned from NDTV and he and his acolytes say Adani’s purchase is the reason why. In fact, in a recent interview with Karan Thapar at the Leftist propaganda website The Wire, Ravish Kumar said that Adani spent crores of rupees just to shut him down.

Whether the acquisition is going to have an impact on the editorial policy of NDTV remains to be seen, but the  purchase itself is being seen as a great setback by the Left-Liberal clique.

But the biggest upset has come with the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk. Without mincing words, Elon Musk has repeatedly said that he has bought Twitter to protect freedom of speech, which had been heavily compromised by the Twitter management overrun by leftist and woke people. He has repeatedly stressed that politically, he has a centrist view, but the way he has been un-suspending right-wing accounts, alarm bells are ringing all over the place.

Twitter wasn’t biased  at the start.

In the beginning it took some time for the Left-Liberals to understand the true power of social media. They have had a very tight control over newspapers, magazines, TV channels, the film industry, and the book publishing business for more than a century. Communists in general and leftists in particular have long recognized the overarching significance of thought control by controlling people’s access to information. Goebbels said that if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it, and this is what leftist intellectuals have been doing.

Before the advent of social media, it was these leftist intellectuals, authors, and journalists who decided what people read, what type of movies they watched, what type of political opinions they had, and what literature they read. Alternative thought existed at the extreme fringes and most of the intellectuals who did not subscribe to this narrow, leftist point of view were relegated to oblivion, with no scope for any professional success.

Social media suddenly turned everything upside down. The information began to flow unrestricted. Those who could not express themselves before were able to do so. Writers, journalists, and independent observers who couldn’t get published in mainstream newspapers and magazines started publishing their own blogs, and these blogs generated more views than the established newspapers and magazines.

Then came Twitter as a microblogging platform. People posted messages and others, who followed these people, responded to these messages with their own thoughts and opinions. Diverse thoughts and ideas began to spread like wildfire. The Left-Liberals were caught off guard in the beginning. Suddenly, they could not control the flow of information. Everybody could share everything. News was being broken on Twitter faster than in mainstream newspapers and TV channels. This news was unfiltered. It was not manipulated. It was not one-sided. It was not wrapped in leftist packaging. It was being posted as it was.

Social media, especially Twitter and Facebook, was blamed for Narendra Modi’s elevation to national politics from regional politics and for the sudden rise of Trump in America.

Soon, the Left-Liberals realized how important it was to control Twitter. The platform had become a major source of news and information, and since for over a century they have been controlling news and information, they realized they would lose their grip if they didn’t control Twitter.

Techies are traditionally Left-inclined. They like to believe that they are liberal and support progressive thought. Most of the American techies are anti-Conservative and consequently, anti-Republican, and in India, they are anti-BJP. To show their disdain against their political and ideological opponents, they can go to any length, as long as they can justify their actions as being for the “greater good.”

In their effort to demonize their opponents, they themselves end up indulging in acts they blame their opponents for indulging in. They repress information. They twist facts. They curb freedom of speech of their opponents. They sabotage careers. They justify acts of terrorism. They cancel people in the name of acting against bigots and extreme right-wing. It’s no holds barred.

Therefore, when Left-leaning vested interests began to infiltrate into the workforce of Twitter, it was a cakewalk. It was easy to make them believe that they were champions of marginalized communities, minorities, transgender people, and democratic values. And to champion the cause, it was fine to go to any extent. People with opposing views began to be shadow banned. Twitter users who did not subscribe to the Leftist ideology and expressed their opinions openly began to lose followers. Followers of certain politicians and commentators wouldn’t see the tweets.

Project Veritas, an initiative to investigate and expose the deceptive tactics followed by the mainstream media to mold public opinion, secretly taped Twitter employees admitting that Conservative Twitter handles in America and Twitter handles that openly supported the BJP in India were shadow banned, and their tweets were prevented from reaching a wider audience, manually and algorithmically.

Popular right-wing Twitter handles have been complaining for years of their limited reach and their followers not being able to see their updates. During a Congressional hearing Jack Dorsey, the then-CEO of Twitter, denied that Twitter was taking extra steps to put Conservatives and Republicans at a disadvantage.

In the name of curbing hate speech, they have been severely curtailing freedom of speech of many prominent thinkers and politicians, and have been allowing open threats of mass killings by certain leaders.

They banned Trump merely on conjecture. They didn’t allow people to share links of the Hunter Biden sex tape and corruption cases because it could tilt the election results in favor of the Republicans. On one side they would suspend Right-wing accounts at the drop of a hat, or merely out of spite, and on the other side, they would allow the most obnoxious comments from the Left-wing unaffected by moderation.

A video of a victim of pedophilia was posted on Twitter but since it was in agreement with the Left-wing ideology, even after multiple requests by the victim, the video was not removed by Twitter. Many comments opposing pedophilia were deleted by Twitter. Child sexual exploitation content on Twitter was rampant as many liberals claim that pedophilia is a mental condition and not something to be judged negatively.

They even banned Jay Bhattacharya, an Indian-origin Stanford University professor, who had said that Covid lockdowns would harm children. He was placed on a “Trends Blacklist.”

When Elon Musk took charge, he fired the entire moderation team that was heavily Left-tilted. Vijaya Gadde, the then-head of legal, policy, and trust at Twitter, and who played a big part in banning Trump, was summarily dismissed within the first week of Musk taking over. Yoel Roth, head of trust and safety at Twitter, left one week after Musk took over and started unsuspending accounts. 

Successive “Twitter Files,” aside from revealing how freedom of speech was repeatedly violated in the name of “stopping misinformation,” have also revealed that the American government paid millions of dollars to Twitter to suppress certain information. The FBI under the current government specifically colluded with top executives at Twitter to discredit the Hunter Biden expose.

All these capabilities to control the flow of information handed immense power to Left-Liberals. They felt powerful. They decided who could read what. They decided who could post on Twitter and who could not. They behaved like the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland.

Those who control information control the narrative and those who control the narrative decide who gets to form the government in the country. Left-Liberals have known that for more than a century now. What makes Twitter powerful is that information can be disseminated extremely fast and in a succinct manner. It merely takes a few seconds for someone to get an update. This is what scares the hell out of the Left-Liberal groups. Due to its ability to disperse news fast, it is much more powerful than other media.

Musk is not as subtle as Adani. He made his intentions clear when he walked into Twitter headquarters holding a sink and then tweeting “Let it sink.” He is one of the richest people on earth, and also one of the most powerful. He doesn’t mince words when showing people the door.

He is revamping Twitter. His programmers are going through the code that shadow bans people based on their political and ideological affiliations. He is reviewing accounts that have been suspended or canceled. He has reinstated many accounts that are vocal against wokism and Left-wing extremism. He is allowing accounts that post content against the transgressions of liberals.

Left-liberals like to wield complete control. They curb contrary opinion with unyielding ruthlessness. To propagate their falsehoods, they need to control every possible media channel, including social media. There should be no chinks. Every instance of dissent must be squelched.

There is no scope for difference of opinion. It is just their way or the highway. The moment you say something that is contrary to what they are saying, you immediately become a bigot, a fascist, a supremacist, a right-wing extremist, or a homophobe. You are to be dealt with severely. They practice 100% intolerance.

Twitter is just one platform that has been taken out of their clutches. Most other platforms, like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and even Google search, are still heavily Left-controlled. Similarly, it is just one news channel, NDTV, that seems to have slipped out of their hands, but there are many more news channels that are still controlled by them.

When it comes to Left-Liberals, there is no concept like difference of opinion. This is the reason why losing control of a single platform or a single TV news channel sends them into a tizzy.

The prime minister addressed the nation, while unveiling the logo. He said that the world had witnessed two huge crises viz. Covid-19 Pandemic and Russia- Ukraine war that had had a huge affect. The major impact was on world- economy. In this connection, he said, the G -20 summit that India was holding would become important.

Historically, G-20 (the Group of Twenty countries) is a body that focuses solely on international economic and policy coordination matters. G-20 was set up by G-7 (Group of Seven viz. Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K and the U.S, in addition- the European Union), after the financial crisis in 2008 that hit the western developed nations badly. The idea of G-20 was to broaden the economic base, by co-opting developing nations in the world.

This time round, in India’s presidency of G-20, India is working with developing and developed nations to lead on different issues pertaining to — trade, climate change, sustainable development, health, agriculture, energy, environment, climate change and anti-corruption. This way, India has expanded the agenda, to discuss in the intergovernmental forum of G-20. While using the forum, India could use its diplomatic dexterity on many world controversies such as: Russia– Ukraine war impasse, major tension between the U.S and Russia and The U.S. and China. India has, up to now, played its cards well on all these internationally tense-issues and used them to its benefit.  

Before India, it was Indonesia that presided G-20 last year i.e. 2022. Then it handed over the presidency (as the presidency is on rotation basis among the participating countries) to India for presiding from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. During the Indonesian presidency also, it is said, that India played a critical role in the G- 20 in Bali, by building bridges with major powers of the world and in assisting the summit coordination.

Usually, it is thought (by the common man) that international trade, energy, economy and international relationships are all elitist affairs. What have they to do with common masses? However, the Indian public is keen on knowing the proceedings that are going to take place in the G-20 summit with regard to energy, climate change, food security etc. became they have an impact on their daily lives. They are no more elitist matters. The prime minister’s aim is to take G-20 to the public sphere. He said this while addressing the Indian diaspora at the recent Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) that “The G-20 is not just a diplomatic event; it should be turned into a historic event of public participation.”  (http://epaper.deccanchronicle.com/articledetailpage.aspx?id=16910820)

G-20 is supposed to have many engagement groups and many officials involved from the PMO and External Affairs ministry. They set the agenda on focus issues viz. global economy, food security, digital technology, health, finance etc. Experts say that the G-20 is open to more voices from the other international organizations. That being the case, the agenda is open and democratic. So far, in all international organizations like that of the U.N., WTO (World Trade Organisation) etc., India and other such developing countries’ voices have not got representation to secure their national interest. In all these organizations, the rules, practices and procedures have been created and designed/structured for major powers to benefit.

Therefore, India and other developing countries are asking for a multilateral approach. It is right on India’s part to ask so. For, India’s multilateral strategy has grown as its own economy has grown. India is at present the 5th largest economy in the World and is soon likely to be the third after the U.S. and China. India has the power and clout to shape and lead the global economic agenda and international responses to global challenges. This summit, G-20 makes India, from the present developing state to an emerging great power. With all countries, India could strategize and manage geopolitical and geo-economic challenges.

Politically, the BJP party that is in power gains by holding G-20. The media coverage will be immense. The prime minister’s stature and statesmanship gets a boost, as world leaders join to shake hands with him. The Congress that calls this summit an opportunistic one for the BJP before the general elections in 2024, should be reminded that they had had their sway when the Doordarshan (DD) monopolized media space in the country.

It was always Indira Gandhi shown shaking hands with leaders like: Yasser Arafat or Fidel Castro etc. Similarly, Rajiv Gandhi shook hands with tall world leaders and that was projected by the lone state-sponsored media. Now, it is the turn of the BJP, as the party wants to take the country and its civilization to heights.

Continuous self improvement- The Hindu way

Four months back, I rebuked my husband in an angry outburst. After about an hour I thought about it and was ashamed of the things I had said. I analyzed and felt even worse because, this was at least the 10…0th time I was saying hurtful things and every-time I made the same decision— I will not repeat this. But, I was not changing. I wanted to be a changed new person. But, how? I decided to search religion for guidance. I remembered the Hindu way of expiation (प्रायश्चित) — where a person takes a vow or vrat like not eating or talking for a day as a way to self discipline.

I also, decided to do प्रायश्चित- expiation. I took a vow that I will not eat anything the entire day. But, there was a problem — what if I will eat something on accident.? How will I remember ?. So I came up with a method — I joined my hands, closed my eyes and said — “ Today is प्रायश्चित day for me. I am taking a vow (संकल्प ) that I will not eat anything as a way to self discipline. Tomorrow, will be a new day for me and I will be a better person. Oh God! within me please give me courage to fulfill my संकल्प“.

This little ritual made a big difference- I was serious towards my संकल्प and I remembered the wrong doing the entire day with a positive mindset that I am going to become a better person from tomorrow. I was determined to be watchful towards my actions and mindful towards my speech. I also realized that taking a vow (संकल्प) like fasting is very important because it prepares you mentally and emotionally for change by forcing sincerity and seriousness. I successfully, finished the vow and it has been 4 months I have not repeated the sinful act of saying hurtful things to my husband. 

This was my short story for one sin.

But, let’s say we do several mistakes. How do we correct ourselves? It is not practical to keep doing a “Vrat” for every wrong doing. Else, we would be fasting for more than half the time each month which will lead to starvation and make us sick.

One solution is to pick one day each month for all the mistakes of the entire month and do vrat. This day we would do introspection, accept our mistakes and take a vow to correct ourselves.

However, it is a bit hard to keep track of 30 days of your acts and think about what we did wrong and how we can make changes. 

A more manageable number is 15 days or 2 weeks. We can decide every 2 weeks that we will evaluate ourselves, do प्रायश्चित for our wrong doings and work towards self correction. 

This reminds me of agile methodology that software developers follow. They run projects in 2- weeks sprint and at the end of sprint do a retrospective where team members call out their mistakes and make a plan for improvement.

Life is also a project and we have to aim for continuous improvements by running it in 2 weeks sprints. 

Hindu religion did exactly this. It created a festival called “Ekadashi” that is celebrated every 2 weeks. On this day it is said that people wash off their sins. Ekadashi can be thought of as the equivalent of retrospective at the end of Sprint- the day when you are suppose to think of your sins/wrong-doings, accept them, make a determination(vrat) and correct yourself.

This is a beautiful concept of incremental progress by self-correction.

Unfortunately; later, people forgot the reason and method of celebrating Ekadashi. They excluded the “determination” or संकल्प, the प्रायश्चित and, the self correction part. Instead, they only focused on the “vrat “ as if, by doing vrat alone — without any realization of mistakes —  one will be expurgated of their sins.

Like several things that we have fixed in our culture, Ekadashi too needs a fix. Once we bring back the lost steps of Ekadashi and do it with correct intentions then it will do wonders! We will embark on the path of continuous self improvement.

Shri Annamalai, Tamil Nadu state president of BJP has recently stated that whenever a political party started to gain momentum and attraction of large section of people, competition among leaders within such party also would grow, it is quite natural. Obviously the leader who brought the party to such prominence is likely to earn the jealous and wrath and he is aloso likely to be criticized by many disgruntled elements in the party. Naturally the most threatened opponent of BJP in Tamil Nadu, the DMK is going to use such intra-party quibble in BJP to its advantage. 

The question is whether the present intra-party quibble within BJP in Tamil Nadu is a serious issue or would settle soon like little storm in the tea cup?  Certainly the current issue is nothing new in politics and therefore is not going to affect BJP or the image of Annamalai. All those who throw stones at Annamalai are unscrupulous, holds no command, enjoys no respect and admiration of people and have done nothing great to the party, nor have made any impression about their leadership to people. 

Like Modiji, Annamalai is also bullet proofed mainly because of his personal integrity, honesty, tireless work and above all, he is so focused, sharp and scientific in his approach. The entire opposition when attacked Modiji and abused, Modiji simply focused on people of this country, addressed their aspiration, daily needs and life. Modiji won the people and therefore he is a leader not just to our nation but also to every family in India.

Annamalai also has attained such an iconic stature in Tamil Nadu, a leader whom the youths admire and follow, elderly people aspire to have such son, old people cherish with confidence that Tamil Nadu has at last got a hope and promise in Annamalai and they want to see Annamalai as chief minister of the state before they disappear from the scene so that they can peacefully depart the world with joy that their children are safe in the state.    

Annamalai has completely captured the aspiration and hope of people of the state and are immensely thankful to Modiji for identifying Annamalai and also giving him the due respect and importance that he deserves.   

Today people are seeing the politics of change, politics of positivism, development, politics being engaged by educated people to bring social and economic transformation in the country thanks to Modiji and Annamalai. 

Even DMK and AIADMK are learning some political lessons from Annamalai because the new age politics of Annamalai is so vibrant, dynamic and development centric. All those who have accepted corruption as part and parcel of our social life and also believed corruption cannot be eliminated until Annamalai enters the scene. Now people have realized that DMK has very meticulously jettisoned the future of the state and life and destiny of millions of youths through its dynastic politics, politics of corruption and rowdy-ism. People are silently shifting towards BJP in the state with complete hope on Annamalai and Modiji. 

The problem of intra-party quibble in BJP in TN is not going to affect either BJP or Annamalai.  Instead, the slow action of BJP against DMK can shatter the hope of people. The hardcore anti-DMK voters are now split between BJP, AIADMK and Naam Tamil Katchi. In Tamil Nadu, neutral voters and hardcore anti-DMK voters are quite high. The neutral voters and people who wants change have already shifted to BJP and the hardcore anti-DMK voters can be attracted only through strong action against DMK otherwise they may not see any difference between BJP and Naam Tamilar Katchi, both are ruthlessly attacking DMK. 

BJP is in power at the centre and therefore must show it is serious through its action and only then they would shift to BJP. When such action is initiated, Naam Tamilar Katchi may support DMK and thereby the hardcore anti-DMK voters can be easily shifted to BJP. Considerable portion of AIADMK voters have already shifted to BJP. Need of the hour is the central leadership of BJP must strengthen Annamalai, must provide him every support and absolute freedom so that he could save the state from DMK. 

What the BJP needs the best, already Annamalai is doing and in return, BJP must do its best to Annamalai by acting against DMK which we hope towards parliament election, may happen.
