Congress party of the dynast – ‘living fossil’ of corruption and divisive politics

0

The state of affairs in congress party is quite sickening. Congress party has today reduced to a level where the mother is so determined and over ambitious to make her dynast son as heir to the throne and no one else. Unfortunately many unwinnable, post retired leaders in the congress party wants only the family to led the party because all those ‘indoor plant species’ or aquarium fishes never wants fresh blood taking over the reins in the party because talent, merit and vision of the leader of the party may go against their personal ambition which is nothing but be powerful and relevant in the party and if not make sone or daughter very important and prominent in the party.

P Chidambaram, Gulam Nabi Asad, Salman Khurshid, Jayaram Ramesh, Ahmed Patel, Motilal Vora etc., cannot see anyone other than the family or its members alone heading the congress.

In congress party, people over the years have developed certain culture which is very hard to remove. Therefore even if India rejects the congress party fully, its leaders never going to reject the family or dynasty culture.

The key characteristics displayed by most congress people are either competitive sycophancy, flattery of the family or slavery to the family or wants the idiotic, ignorant, stupid dynasty culture continue and only then the so called ‘intelligent people’ (sycophants) will have great importance and significance in the party.

Ironically the people who cannot win even Panchayat election are the one who are calling the shots in congress party. The aspiring young leaders of the party must realize that the –re-installation of the same old, worn out engine called the great DYNAST RAGHUL GANDHI would only further destroy the party and undermine their political aspiration. Like how birds migrate to various geographical regions from their resident habitat during adverse climate, the best example being crane, congress people also must migrate to either other political parties or must start own political force like how Sharad Pawar had started NCP in Maharashtra.

The unwinnable, post retired political leaders in the congress party may be settling their revenge against the congress party by supporting the family so blindly and are passing their post-retirement time and beyond that they are doing nothing worthwhile to the party.

Another weird culture of the congress party is that even if the party has failed miserably in series of elections, still the party has been elevating and promoting the dynast Raghul Gandhi. But the most affectionate mother of the dynast- Sonia Gandhi is asking Amit Shah to resign for the looks like politically provoked violence in North East Delhi. Fortunately no reputed media houses has taken the demand of Sonia Gandhi seriously or brought in the centre stage. None of the front face leaders of congress party also seems to have re-iterated the bizarre demand of Sonia Gandhi. All the above tactical neglect of Sonia Gandhi by several prominent congress leaders suggests the possibility that the family has lost its grip in the party.

Many countries have freed itself from slavery and also many countries are moving towards democracy from autocracy or king’s rule. Even when the world is changing, congress party wants nothing but dynastic culture to continue. Only way India can be saved is by totally eliminating the congress party politically and people must render unconditional support to Modi and Amit Shah to save India from tukde tukde gangs and Delhi Lutyens who wants to destroy India.

Indians must re-invent the cultural and traditional umbilical cord of our nation that is Hinduism and we must connect back to our tradition and cultural identity and only then we can prosper and develop.

Modi is uniting India but many regional parties are dividing India for their political gain.

Defeat of BJP, Modi or Amit Shah is defeat of entire India and its future. Therefore Indians must pledge their unconditional support to Modi to achieve development, sab ka vikas, corruption free governance and unity of Indians by integrating with Hinduism, our cultural identity.

Jai Hind.

CAA- Boon for the doomed

Ekam Sad Vipra Bahudha Vadanti (The real is one, the learned speak of it variously)
-The Rig Veda.

Bahudha approach is honouring of attitude and diversity of mind which respects other persons point of view. It is the rhizome of Indian philosophy. Indian culture and heritage are ancient and we stood as a nation even in tough times. Various universities which were hub of education like Takshasila, Nalanda and Nagarjuna university prevailed in ancient India. Our civilization takes roots in ancient-Indus valley civilization- where cities like Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro flourished with a well-developed urban culture and trade in south east Asia.

India is also birth place of many major world religions like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. Our culture induces in human minds, the readiness to accept people how they are and their ideologies or faiths. The peace which has been maintained for years in this country, is because of the native residents who accepted people from different parts of the world from ancient period.

In the 7th century when people of Zoroastrian (Parsis) faith of Sussanid empire were vanquished by the Arabs, they moved to Nargol in Gujarat. Jadhav Rana King of Sanjan embraced these people at that time and gave them equal opportunities to grow. Israelites have been given place in south India as early as 14th century when they were expelled by Alhambra Decree.

Similarly Digvijaysingh Ranjitsingh Jadega, Maharaja Jam sahib of Nawanagar created a home away from home for Polish refugees and orphans giving lives to 640 women and children at the time of World war II. He said “Do not consider yourself orphans. You are now Nawnagaris and I am Bapu, father of all the people of Nawanagar, so also yours.” On his name “Good Maharaja square” in Warsaw was inaugurated in 2013 in Poland.

In 1959 during the Tibetan Uprising, the 14th Dalai Lama along with his 80,000 disciples moved to India for asylum due to persecution by China. They were provided 3000 acres of land in Bylakuppe in Mysore district by the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru as asylum. Later on, we built schools and hospitals for the Tibetan community and scholarships were given to them. Also, Indian identity certificate (IRC) or Yellow books were given to them who wanted to travel abroad.

Similarly, in 1972, when the then Ugandan President, IDi Amin asked Indians living in Uganda to leave within 90 days, around 4500 refugees were welcomed in India and granted citizenship. Similarly, for Indian Tamils in Sri Lanka various pacts were signed initially like Nehru-Kotelawala Pact (1954), Sirima- Shastri Pact (1964) and Sirimavo- Gandhi pact (1974). Later in 1982, 90,000 Indian Tamils who were still in Sri Lanka, were granted Indian citizenship and 86,000 who had not applied for Indian citizenship were later granted Sri Lankan citizenship in 1988 and 2003 by Sri Lankan government. In this way, India shined as a place of refuge for ethnic or religious persecution from the ancient era.

Partition of India came on the lines of religion initially proposed by Syed Ahmed Khan in 1883 and later on supported by the All India Muslim league. Initially after partition there was exodus of 7 million people from both sides which led to death of 2,00,000 to 20,00,000 people. With continuous religious persecution of minorities in Pakistan, Neogy-Ghulam Mohammad Agreement was signed between the two rehabilitation ministers in 1948 to “check mass exodus in either direction” and minority boards were started in both countries. As the minority persecution continued in Pakistan in 1950, Nehru-Liaqat or Delhi pact was signed to protect the rights and properties of minorities who flew to India.

According to the pact, their properties needed to be returned once the situation calmed down. But this pact didn’t settle the issue and there was continuous migration of minorities from Bangladesh over years.A Gallup Poll in march 1955 was conducted in Kolkata wherein 87% people proposed war against Pakistan for the atrocities the minorities were facing in Pakistan. But this pact didn’t settle the issue and there was continuous migration of minorities from Bangladesh over years.

The failed agreements and Nehru’s political somnambulism made Shyama Prasad Mukherjee resign from cabinet and start Bharat Jan Sangh party against congress. In 1950 Jogendranath Mandal who joined Muslim league wrote to Liaqat on pogrom of 10000 Hindus in his own district Barisal, but due to death threat from Liaqat he left Pakistan and returned to west Bengal and sent resignation from there. Leaders in east Pakistan like Bhupendra Kumar Dutta and Dhirendranath Dutta were subjected to atrocities. Dhirendranath Dutta who worked as health minister and who requested Bengali to be the official language was killed by Pakistan forces.

Bhupendra Kumar Dutta political leader in east Pakistan was house arrested from 1958 to 1962 flew back to India unable to tolerate the atrocities over minorities in Pakistan. Similarly, many historians, Poets left Pakistan, got citizenship of India, settled in India and have received highest positions like Prime Minister (Manmohan singh, IK Gujral), Great actors (Raj Kapoor, Sunil Dutt, Yash chopra), athletes (Mikha Singh), in this country.

Mikha Singh ran away from Pakistan when killings in Pakistan was going on, he traveled to India in a train without ticket for which he was arrested and jailed. He was later recruited to army and became olympic medal winning athlete in India. A study by Abul Barkat a Bangladeshi economist found that between 1964-2013 around 11.3 million Hindus left Bangladesh because of an anti-Hindu “Pogrom” an organised massacre happening in these countries to the minorities.

Citizenship Amendment act
Though citizenship in India was given by 6 means–> 1. citizenship at the time of constitution, citizenship by birth, citizenship by descent, citizenship by naturalisation, citizenship by registration and citizenship by accession into the country. Present amendment is on citizenship for naturalisation (section 6) in which citizenship is given for people who have lived more than 11 years which is reduced to 5 years for persecuted minorities who have come on or before Dec 31, 2014 under reasonable classification of constitution.

The proposed amendment of citizenship act includes a section of people from 6 religions (Hindus, Christians, Parsis, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists) who are religiously persecuted in 3 contiguous neighbouring countries (Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh). Religious persecution in these theocratic countries led to significant decline in the minority population in these countries. India, keeping up the promise under Delhi pact has proposed to amend the act and give citizenship to these people also by reducing criteria of stay from 11 to 6 years i.e., before 31 Dec 2014. Any Pakistani or Bangladeshi can still get Indian citizenship from front door through proper procedure and government has given citizenship to 600 and odd including singer Adnan Sami by this procedure.

Here there are two issues on giving citizenship based on this criterion
1. North eastern states and 2. Rest of India.

Keeping this in mind government has excluded areas under inner line permit (ILP) (Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland , Tripura and Manipur) and areas under 6th schedule of constitution which include areas of Assam, complete states of Meghalaya and Mizoram. Also, this violates Assam accord which was signed in 1985 which excludes giving citizenship to anyone after 24 th march 1971. Hence government has decided to exclude areas under 6th schedule and ILP and also included Manipur in ILP by constitutional amendment on December 10, 2019.

The opposition parties claim the CAA to be unconstitutional alleging that it is against article 14, 15 and 25. While the debate on the issue on article 14,15 and 25 rages on, it is important that likes to be compared with likes. It doesn’t violate article 14, as already minority institutions, travel allowances for minorities travelling to pilgrimage centres, only temples under government control, etc.., which are under reasonable classification do exist. But under article 11, Parliament has the right to decide for whom the citizenship needs to be given under reasonable classification which was also done earlier when a subset of people are given citizenship.

We cannot compare an illegal migrant to a refugee or an Indian citizen. Secondly it is not possible to grant citizenship to all the Muslim migrants, as it will be practically impossible to give citizenship to all the people from these countries. There is no persecution of Muslims in their home countries and they can return to their respective countries. The religious minorities however have nowhere else to go in the sub-continent. Also granting citizenship to Muslims from Pakistan exposes us to an unwarranted threat from terrorism.

One more criticism is it draws lakhs of persecuted minorities to India which is not possible as this amendment keeps the deadline for those people who had migrated to India on or before Dec 31, 2014. During Parliamentary meetings Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs on 1st March 2016, said there are 2,89,394 refugees in India of which 1,03,817 from Bangladesh and 1,02, 467 were from Srilanka. Of these 31,313 persons belonging to minor communities who are on Long term Visa on their claim of religious persecution are eligible for citizenship which includes Hindus -25447, Siks-5807, Christians- 55, Buddhists-2, Parsis-2.

Another question why Afghanistan was involved in the amendment. At the time of partition minorities living in the extreme west of Pakistan ran to Afghanistan as they can’t travel through Pakistan with fear of death. Most of them flew from there in between 1992-1996 and after 2005.
The bottom line is, the Citizenship amendment act does not affect Muslim citizens of India in any way. It is an act to grant citizenship to refugees of persecuted religious minorities and not to take away any one’s Bonafide Indian citizenship. The Muslims citizens of India are equally protected under the Constitution of India as people of any other religion.

It is our duty to honour our prior commitments to protection of persecuted religious minorities.

I am proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered the persecuted and the refugees of all religions and all nations of the earth.

Indian National Congress (INC) Or Hindu Congress

0

MAJ (Md.Ali Jinnah) called INC a Hindu Congress:

“Secularism” is the most talked about topic in the independent India. It is more so today, when India is ruled by BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) and its ally (NDA) led by Shri Narendra Modi as PM. Congress leaves no effort to brand current government and its leading political party BJP as a Hindu Party, anti Muslim or communal party (both words have become synonymous).

To appreciate the facts linked to perception based branding of any political organisation as secular or non secular, I will take you to pre-independence era of India. India was inching towards independence from English dominion and “Two nation” theory was gaining strength. The patron of ” Two nation” theory Md. Ali Jinnah was not at all in mood to accept independence as one nation on certain notions which he categorically mentioned in his write ups to British government in order to justify his demand. He said:

1. Muslim India will never accept any method of framing the constitution of India by means of one constitution making body for all India in which Mussulmans will be in hopeless minority.

2. Nor will they agree to any united India constitution, federal or otherwise, with one centre, in which, again they will be in hopeless minority, and will be at the mercy of perennial Hindu majority domination.

3. Further, any attempt to set up a provisional government at the centre, which would be in any way prejudice or militate against the Pakistan demand, will not be acceptable to us, as the thin end of the wedge, as it is sought by Hindu India under the term of the Provisional “National” Government of India.

4. If the labour government wishes to prove its bonafides to give freedom to the peoples of this sub continent, they must face realities and facts as they are. First, the Hindus and the Mussulmans are two major nations living in this sub-continent, and there are Muslim Provinces and Hindu Provinces, and it is the high time that the British government apply their mind definitely to the division of India and the establishment of Pakistan and Hindustan , which means freedom for both, whereas an united India means slavery for mussulmans and complete domination of the imperialistic caste Hinduraj throughout this sub-continent, and this is what the Hindu Congress
http://(http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/cab127-1361.jpg)
seeks to attain by constant threats to all and sundry…

If we just go by the highlighted portion of above statements made by Md. Ali Jinnah, he had brandished the then Political Party in the helm of the affairs as “Hindu congress” and in no mincing words linked the INC with word like “Hindu Majority domination”, “Hindu India”.

In view of the above fact, can INC claim to be secular party, if yes, why BJP should be called communal?

If one has to make up their mind about secular credential of INC (Indian National Congress) after going through the letter and its annexure written by Md. Ali Jinnah to then British government, what will be your opinion on the subject. Kindly comment in comment box.

Delhi: Collateral damage for nation building

0

Back in 2015 when Arvind Kejriwal won Delhi with a whooping 67 out of 70 seats, I along with a lot like me thought that even though he is intelligent and possess all the traits that we want in a politician, he might not survive this fierce political battleground. Five years later, he has successfully proved us wrong. He not only survived this fierce political battle, he aced it. His 62 out of 70 in 2020 mean more than the last time, as the voters had a five year political history of the party to look at, whereas in 2015 there was no such history.

The moment he set foot in the arena, he made it clear that he sees his party as a national party and himself in the Prime-Minister’s chair. In the given political scenario in India where parties like Indian National Congress or NCP or DMK are restricted to a mere family businesses and are not willing to look beyond the family; other regional political parties like SP, BSP, TMC are not willing to expand beyond their strong holds or their specific vote banks i.e. Muslims+Yadavs, Muslims+Dalits and Muslims+Bengalis respectively; the communist parties like CPI, CPIM and some other groups are simply irrelevant in this competitive era; there is no place for them not only in India but anywhere in the world. Hence, this ambition of Mr. Kejriwal is the only hope India has to see a truly national pan India party along with BJP in some years. This is the only reason, why his victory in Delhi is extremely important, even though he is not good for Delhi. Delhi is the collateral damage the country is bearing to usher Indian Democracy back to a two party democracy with a strong sensible opposition.

Before you raise your eye brows after reading “collateral damage“, remember the elections are over now, and he is already the CM for the next five years. So, the article is aimed neither to persuade anyone nor to create an opinion for or against anyone.

Everything, living or non-living that crossed Kejriwal’s way, was exploited. What happened to all other people that started with him after the India Against Corruption? Where is Anna Hazare, a the father like figure to him, these days? Lost in the oblivion; Kumar Vishwas?  Back to singing “koi deewana kehta hai koi pagal…” or hosting tv/news shows; Ashutosh? back to reading news and commenting on political events; Yogendra Yadav? back to his communist mindset along with overemphasized phonetic accent and confused about his own identity – trying to figure out if he is a politician (Swaraj Abhiyan not AAP), a psephologist or a political analyst.

And many more to go..

If he could treat living beings who stood next to him as rungs of a ladder, what makes you think he isn’t doing the same with the state? All the so called work he has done in the last five years was directed in only one direction, him snatching a victory again. Each of his schemes will either be recalled in the coming years or the state would turn bankrupt in less than a decade.

Free Water! Where is the extra free water coming from? Did he discover a new invisible river in Delhi that we don’t see? Has he installed a desalination plant and using sea water for drinking purposes? If there is no extra water and the supply is still the same, who is paying for the water that is distributed as free?

Free Electricity! Where is the free 200 or 400 units of electricity coming from? Has he found a cheap way to generate electricity? Or are there new solar power plants in the state? If there is no new power source and the supply is still the same, who is paying for the electricity that is distributed as free?

Free Bus Rides! How is the state affording free bus rides for women in Delhi? Have the buses started using the PM2.5 or PM10 particles from the polluted air to run?

Has he unearthed some hidden treasure? I don’t think so, do you? If that is the case then where is the money coming from?

He is making Delhi another Greece; Greece 2.0. It did not take more than a decade to destroy the country. What happened to the people of Greece? Did suicide rates in Greece increased by 36% after the taxes were increased to save the nation? This happens when you willingly start accumulating huge debts for your short term goals.

He worked as IRS officer and knows exactly when it would happen and that’s why he is not worried. He would have moved on by the time this bubble bursts. Ongoing crisis with PSUs like BSNL, Air India etc are the result of previous government’s political stunts like this. You should read: Is BSNL Crisis a product of 2G Scam? to get an Idea as to how and why you might see DTC or some electricity board in the similar state. Add Free Wifi! to the list too.

Worse than this, is the so called reform in the education system. You could have a look at  Mission Buniyaad: A mission to weaken the foundation. where I wrote about the severe consequences of this scheme. A student who would be moved to the third category “Umyad” as per the Mission Buniyad would see the after effects of this so called reform when he would start applying for graduation; i.e. 7-8  years later. This is exactly the same as current unemployment situation in India, do you see any correlation of unemployment with RTE act 2009 brought by the UPA? You could read this A Right to Unemployment.

Arvind Kejriwal’s government had picked up small parts from different systems that are easy to implement from different countries, and intentionally or unintentionally overlooked the different consequences and the other factors that affect the system. Odd/Even is another such scheme taken from a different country. Do you consider implementing odd/even scheme for 15 days a solution for air pollution? What about the other 350 days of the year? This scheme would have been helpful if it was implemented for the entire year. Why? People would have built a network/system of car pooling services,  but this won’t be possible  if the scheme is only valid for 15 days. For 15 days this scheme is a disaster.

There were supposed to be 3000 new buses with 1000 electric buses procured by the Delhi Government. Where are they? Still on papers. Where is the infrastructure for the electric buses? Missing!! Delhi’s public transportation is over crowded. Unless there are enough buses and trains so that daily commuters don’t feel as if they are going on a war, they would continue using their private vehicles. End of discussion! And by the way, why only 1000 electric buses and not all 3000 electric buses? Will the new non-electric buses not pollute the air?

Also read: Delhi’s Political Pollution and Some ideas to reduce pollution and create startups/ employment opportunities

What else? CCTV cameras! Has he installed the humongous number of cameras he claimed he would be installing in the city? These are vital for the safety and security of the citizens, where are they? He himself claimed during the election campaign last month that he would be installing the cameras in this term. Same goes with cleaning up Yamuna.

Do you think door to door delivery of services a good initiative? If you think it is you need to think about how corruption happens. This policy brings in one more layer of human-beings (read greedy beings)  in between you and the service you are looking for; the logistics department. For example, if there were five departments were working together so as to provide you with a service, the extra 500 you were paying to get your work done was getting divided in five departments, now add one more team to it. Do you think your 500 will have to be increased? That’s why Modi’s policy of getting rid of the middle man has helped in curbing corruption. Remember Rajeev Gandhi’s statement “I sanction 100 rupees for poor but only 15 reaches him”; where does the rest go? I guess to these layers and layers of departments.

Each and every piece of work he and his government has done fulfills a short term goal that would keep him and the party afloat in Indian politics. The other tasks that would have actually helped the state are simply pending. He is just waiting to get bigger and meaningful in the national politics; as soon as he accomplishes this goal, he would bring in his austerity measures: adding taxes, increasing prices and of-course his favorite blaming the center, the LG and the neighboring states. Delhiites are just waiting for the storm to hit them. The best part of this politics is that we Indians will get a second national competitive party without any hard work, Delhi will be doing all the heavy lifting .

Offering freebies in Indian Politics is not a new concept, we have seen it time and again. Be it in the form of gifts like Saris, Liquor, Laptops, E-Rikshaws, tax cuts etc. or going even further by adding an entire community in reserved category, letting students pass without exams; the list goes on. The giant elephant in the room now is how a well established political party like BJP failed to convince the voters that they are digging their own graves by endorsing this freebie politics?

Please stay tuned to my blog to know the two reasons why BJP lost the Delhi elections!

Thanks for your time and patience!

Amidst the Anti CAA, NRC protest and the political battle which was going on since months nobody knew that this was not a movement but a planned conspiracy being targeted by some political groups not just against Delhi but against the spirit of India as a whole with Delhi being prepared as the center for it as it is the capital was considered by the perpetrators as the best place to gather media attention. Ground Reports gathered from different cities on a personal level confirm the fact that Shaheen Bagh protests and the daily updates were being relayed across the country and Muslims across the country were made to believe that the CAA was totally Anti-Muslim and all of them would be forced to leave the country. The icing on the cake was the speeches and the guidance being offered by leaders like Owasi who thrive on politics of creating fear in the minds of Muslims just to retain their power.

The key points of this conspiracy may be undercover today and may be enjoying their plates of Beef Biryani and drinks but it would not be wrong to blame all the shameless aspiring politicians of universities like Jamia and JNU and their sympathisers like Swara Bhaskar, Anurag Kashyap, Deepika Padukone, Shekhar Gupta, Rajdeep Sardesai who not only added fuel to this movement but many of them made the countrymen believe whatever was happening in the country was totally against Muslims provoking the desperation to such an extent that even a small amount of instigation made these groups forget years of brotherhood. Whatever happened after that is not unknown to anyone now.

Leaders like Parvesh Verma and Anurag Thakur also tried their luck in hate mongering campaign with their petty interest of winning the Delhi elections but it comforted me as a Delhiite that people rose above all this and voted for AAP instead of any particular religion. Even after the riots the political leaders of the great Congress Party  did not exercise any restrain and left no opportunity to instigate the crowd further and started demanding resignation of the Home Minister instead of asking for special investigation to be carried out to find out who all are involved in this and how all this was planned.

Let’s not be naive to believe that one video of a mosque being targeted by some Hindus had instigated people and riots started. Many questions are still unanswered and would have to be answered with time with detailed investigation. Either this movement is aimed at attaining a larger motive of domination of one religion over the other as history has already seen or a desperate effort from all the political parties to prove that the leadership of the country is a complete failure and chances are high that both these ideas are correct but the real reasons with unveil with time.

Efforts are now being made by the government to sensitize the people about common brotherhood now three days after the city kept bleeding but days would pass, governments would change but the scar and pain this has left on the heart of a Delhi Walla will always remain.

How secularism got ingrained in Bengali psyche and how it is exploited to disturb communal harmony in India for political gain

0

Very significantly under the English rule, the system of education in India including Bengal was thoroughly overhauled. The medium of instruction was Changed to English and such schools/colleges were mostly run by missionaries and western educated Indians. In these educational institutions, Hindu religion, rituals and culture were taught to be looked down upon and new western educated Indians learnt and saw only its distorted and darkened picturizations. This was all along aided and abetted by growing caste divisions in Hindu Bengali societies said to be resulting in oppression of lower castes by upper castes. It became such an issue that in early twentieth century Bengal, there was a movement against the so-called orthodox Hinduism and the Brahma dharma, as the liberal offshoot of Hindu dharma, was established. This happened mainly due to the resentment the modern and English-educated Bengalis felt against casteism and other so-called bad rituals and prejudices of Hindu religion and society. It was mostly confined to Kolkata, the home for this vocal section of the society.

Later in the post-partition days when the social and economic situation became turbulent due to large influx of refugees in West- Bengal, it was time for anti-establishment politics and left liberalism. The seeds of communism were sown and in two decades the communists came to power. People were told that the religion was the opium for masses. This was the time when Hinduism again appeared to be losing its sheen.

At the same time, the Congress and the Communists formed an informal alliance against all Bhartiya notions of culture and religiosity and secularism and socialism were incorporated in the Preamble to the Constitution. The left liberals, media, academia and intellectuals were given all sinecure positions, scholarships, foreign trips and plum postings and they started propagating and teaching the cause of secularism such that it was ingrained into the Bengali psyche. It was facilitated by the Congress and the leftists who then dominated Bengal politics, media and academics.

True secularism is justice for all and appeasement for none. But, for the opposition politicians it actually means appeasement of minorities because it is necessary for vote bank politics. To elucidate, let us analyse the controversy over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). CAA seeks to grant citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan if they faced religious persecution there. The point to note is that these refugees were citizens of undivided India and they were forced to flee their own homes for saving their lives after being subjected to atrocities on the grounds of religion. They are different from the migrants who left Bangladesh / Pakistan/ Afghanistan for economic reasons. Every Indian should therefore welcome the grant of citizenship to all such people, taking into consideration historical reality and the humanitarian aspect. It must at the same time be clearly understood that applications for citizenship in India by Muslims have been and will continue to be entertained under the citizenship act. Moreover, CAA has nothing to do with the current citizens of India or the rights they are guaranteed under the Constitution.

This is what the politicians, intellectuals and academics should put forward before the masses especially the Muslims who have been incited by this false propaganda that it is discriminatory against the Muslims in India.

This false propaganda has created unrest among the Muslims in the country. This is very unfortunate in the context of prevailing slowdown in India, when the whole nation’s focus should be on how to revive the economy. It is, however, unlikely that national interests will override short time political gains in the calculations of our opposition political parties.

Instead, a Frankenstein has been created by opposition parties. They see this as their last and only opportunity to oust Modi. They have incited the Muslims into destructive and Shaheen Bagh like protests. They have created false fear in their minds that their citizenship will be taken away. The biased media deliberately helped in spreading this false notion among the secular public and the Muslims.

They don’t or, perhaps, do realize that this is creating a fissure between Hindus and Muslims and it will not easily heal. But either way they don’t care that this Frankenstein will destroy the peace-loving social fabric of the country.

‘Prince of Aragon disease’ of congress party

0

In Merchant of Venice, Shakespeare has described the pain and agony of Portia over marrying the Prince of Aragon if he ever choses the right cascade. The reason being, Prince of Aragon speaks a lot about his horse than about anything else. The above were the true expressions of Portia about Prince Aragon being shared to her maid servant– Nerrisa.

What we see today in congress party is nothing but the prince of Aragon disease. The only difference is instead the obsession of the prince of Aragon over his horse; the congress men express and exhibit competitively their obsession over the family and dynasty culture. For all those un-winnable, post-retired leaders of congress party, only the dynast must lead the party even if such an arrangement ruins the party because only when the dynast is in the helm of affairs and the dynast remains imbecile, the oldies will have great importance and relevance for the self.

But for the young leaders (below 60 years), who are otherwise self-made in the congress party, wants an inspiring leader to lead the party. The young leaders are divided into two separate, immiscible blocks; one being the dynasts of the oldies (example, P Chidambaram and his son Karti Chidambaram) and others who are self-made.

The young leaders who came to power due to the advantage of their dynasty would naturally want only the dynast Raghul Gandhi to head the party and want the saga of dynasty politics to continue whereas those hard-working, self-made young congress leaders, the expectation is quite different.

But the voice and number of oldies and their dynastic children is quite high than the voice of hard working, self-made leaders in congress party. Therefore no one is there to understand or listen to the desire and expectations of the real and authentic congress men. The congress workers, sympathisers and followers are also with the real congress men and not with those oldies or their dynastic children. Otherwise congress party would have shrunk so dramatically.

Unfortunately even after the repeated defeats, the congress party does not want to treat its ‘prince of Aragon disease’ and still wants only the family to head the party. If the party continues to worship and venerate one family and without the family the party may perish, the party would soon end up as party of ‘gentlemen of leisure’.

The young and aspiring congress leaders and sympathizers must realize that they owe a lot to the nation and not to one family and hence must quit congress party and join the luminous leadership of PM Modi. Instead of exhibiting patriotism for Sonia Gandhi, Mrs Vadra and Raghul Gandhi, congress men should respect and follow the patriotism of Modi and must support India than the family.

The recent stand of congress party especially that of former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh in declining the invitation of Honourable President of India to join the dinner hosted to the vising President of US, Donald Trump because Sonia Gandhi has not been invited looks very ridiculous. Sonia Gandhi is only the working president of the congress party and is nothing beyond that. The dinner hosted by the President of India was an apolitical event therefore politicians cannot be accommodated for such an event but the invitation for Manmohan Singh was in the capacity of he being the former Prime Minister of India.

Manmohan Singh may have every reason to feel that he was not the Prime Minister of UPA 1 and 2 as he was only a figure head PM and the real PM was Sonia Gandhi. But for India Manmohan Singh was only the Prime Minister and not Sonia Gandhi.

India is bigger than Sonia Gandhi, Raghul Gandhi, Mrs Vadra or congress party. Congress party must realize that it is duty bound to India and not to one family that too so openly. But no one is there in congress party without prince of Aragon disease and hence they would repeat and recite only praises for the family. We do not know how many times Manmohan Singh would have told foreign dignities and other high profile visitors in the past that he was only a figure head PM and the real PM was Sonia Gandhi. We have to derive such possibility only because of the immature, ugly stand taken by the congress party to decline the invite of President of India.

Congress can be saved only if congress party liberates itself from Mother-Son, if not the daughter clutch. The oldies must be kept in the drawing room of congress party office like margadarshak or indoor potted plants and young leaders must take over the party.

Coronavirus will hit India from Pakistan, not China

0

At the time when the entire world is literally fighting to survive the epidemic of Corona-virus, a particular section of Indian society is fighting an imaginary threat of a non-existing NRC. At the time when different countries are cancelling events like trade fairs, exhibitions and carnivals to avoid crowed places, this particular section in India has been promoting a mass “gathering” for over two months in Shaheen Bagh. The virus must be really feeling insulted and ignored. People in India give a damn about this virus, “the liberal thug life.”

In fact the very same section of society, during demonetization, when people had to stand in a queue for some time cried foul, have absolutely no gumption about the people blocking the street for over two months now. There is no inconvenience to any body, the baby who died in this useless event is deemed “shaheed” or a martyr. The very same section of society saw a dictator and a fascist in Indian government when it put Kashmir valley in isolation to contain terrorism, but have absolutely no issues with Chinese government putting more than 40 million people of Wuhan in Quarantine for over two months now; people literally  lost their employments and are living on the savings and god knows how, with minimal food and water supply. I have not heard any statements like “The virus is still spreading, how did making a prison of the city help?” I haven’t heard anyone from this section complaining about the freedom of those people at all, including the Indians that live there.

Don’t worry, I am not going to continue this rant in this article, I don’t want to and I won’t talk about why Muslims and Dalits in India have been allowing this particular section of the society including some politicians to simply use them for their political/financial/other benefits for decades. I am writing this article because there are real corona-virus threats that might have been overlooked because of this circus that has been going on in Delhi for over two months now. The questions that I am going to put up here should have been asked by the pathetic opposition that Indian parliament contains and the mainstream media. They have lost their ability to question the government on issues other than the ones related to castes or religions. And later if the government tries to answer them, they say “the government is talking Hindu-Muslim only” and if the government doesn’t, they say “they have 303 seats and don’t care”. Its like if it is heads I win and if it is tails you lose.

So, back to n-covid19.

When it comes to India’s preparedness for the virus, the very first thing that you would hear is that every one that flies form China, Hong-Kong or Thailand etc. is screened. That’s nice, but what about other means of transport? Is there a mandatory screening done at ports for the sea routes and for land based transportation (rail and road)? And especially for the ones leading to Pakistan?

Before you raise your brows reading “especially Pakistan” let me finish. Feel free to judge me once I am done with what I have to say.

Pakistan has been quite reluctant in evacuating its students stranded in Wuhan. Even after country wide protests (protests unlike the Shaheen Bagh, but the real ones) by the parents to get their children back, Pakistan government is still not moving forward with bringing them back. Why?

The Pakistan’s president quoted a Hadith “If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it, but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place” (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim) for not bringing the students back. However, this is just to fool its people, the real reason is that Pakistan has an underdeveloped quarantine requirements and protocols as also claimed by a virologist  at Lancaster University, Muhammad Munir.  Although, WHO is now helping them to set up the isolation wards. Maybe in the near future they will bring them back.

In addition to this, Pakistan had no labs to test coronavirus. Maybe that’s why there isn’t any confirmed case yet “no test no result no case“. Although, they are receiving test kits from various countries as we speak now. This becomes a critical piece of information because there were more than 20,000 Chinese personnel working in Pakistan. Many of them went to China for their new years, some of them came back and some are still to come. The Chinese government came to know about the virus outbreak before December 1, 2019 and they try to contain it by themselves at first. It is the rest of the world that came to know about it after the new year when the Chinese government failed to curb the epidemic and the travel restriction came in existence towards the end of January. There were approximately 5 million people who traveled out of china before the travel restrictions were in place. How many of them are in Pakistan?

It is simply too late to contain the virus in Pakistan now. I don’t care about what happens there, but I do care about what happens in India. Indian authorities screen everyone that flies in from China, but not from Pakistan. Is screening being done for the trucks that are used in bilateral trade via road/rail? Are the pilgrims who are using Kartarpur Corridor being screened? Virus doesn’t check the purpose of visit. This virus gets transmitted even before the symptoms are visible. How is anybody going to know if the person is carrying the virus in his body. The thing is virus doesn’t show any paper “look here I am residing in this body try and stop me” #KagazNahiDikhaenge.  A perfectly healthy person can be a carrier to this virus and he might not even fall sick, people with compromised immune system are more vulnerable to this virus.

Moreover, this condition is going to get worse because Pakistan is going to open China-Pak border (Khunjerab Pass) that remains close from Nov 30 to March 30 because of extremely cold weather and heavy snow. Once this is open, the trucks would flow in and in with them the virus.  When most of the nations are not flying to China even today, Pakistan had been running flights since Feb 3 and now it will be roads as well. Infact as an example, as soon as the outbreak happened in Italy, Austria shut its train going to Italy. Pakistan may have its own reasons to stick with its only all weather friend, it could be the excessive economic damage or China forcing Pakistan, I don’t need to know. But what is Indian Government doing to stop the virus coming to India via Pakistan? Shouldn’t the human contact between the two nations be restricted till the time this menace comes to an end?

I was extremely proud when I read that India is helping its neighbors in testing the samples and also helping them evacuate their citizens from Wuhan. This pride saw no limits when I heard Mr. Ravish Kumar Indian MEA spokesperson saying that India will airlift Pakistani students stuck in Wuhan if Pakistan government sends a formal request. However, having said that, I don’t see any process or preparation to  disinfect India’s own public infrastructure. Are we prepared to disinfect the country from the inside. For example the currency bills or the public transport in case virus do end up inside the country? Chinese banks are disinfecting the bills to stop virus from spreading. I think Indian government should do something like demo again (don’t take this line seriously, I just said it). Although, it would kill two birds with one stone; one, the bills would recalled and disinfected, and second, Shaheen Bagh would get sterilized. I know they have been saying that almighty Allah has been providing them for the delicious food, the daily wages, the DJ and the fun time for the last two months, but I know there also some human beings using cash for the purpose. Cash ban and the protest ends in less than a day.

Prevention is better then the Cure. It would be extremely difficult to contain the virus if it reaches any of the densely populated regions in India. Just imagine the kind of mess that particular section of society in India would create if Indian government start putting towns in quarentiene; their livelyhood runs on making mess.

These are some of the questions that were bothering me for some time and I think coronavirus should not be taken lightly even though, we don’t have any cases in India. Maybe the opposition parties are just waiting for some unfortunate events to occur and then they will get a point to corner the government.

Before I leave, I would like to share some more information about the virus available so far:

  • novel coronavirus 2019 or covid19 is said to originate from bats and reached humans via Pangolin (as per the researches conducted so far).
  • This virus belongs to the same family of virus (SARS-COV – Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) that originated from Bats and spilled over to humans via Civets and MERS-COV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) that also originated from Bats and spilled over to humans via Camels.
  • One major difference from the previous virus, in SERS and MERS is that this time the virus transmit even before the symptoms are visible or in other words before the person carrying the virus falls sick. This is why it is very very difficult to contain the virus and is spreading quite fast, already 80,000 confirmed cases and more than 2500 dead.
  • This virus in general is transmitted when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Or if a person comes in contact with some thing that is contaminated by the virus.
  • People who are in close contact with animals (read meat industry) and people who are in contact with the sick (read healthcare workers) are at most risk.
  • Symptoms for this virus are similar to influenza virus, cold, cough, shortness of breath etc. However, this could also lead to pneumonia, kidney failure and even death.
  • There is no specific vaccine or medication for this virus as of today.
  • There are standard hygiene measures to avoid spreading of the virus, they include: covering your mouth while sneezing or coughing with a tissue or a mask or your elbow, avoiding close contact with the people who are ill, using masks, washing hands with soap or alcohol based hand rub and staying home if you are unwell.

Only wish of Sonia Gandhi

0

Some traditional congress sympathisers and those media houses and journalists are really fed with the grand old party and are quite sad and abysmally hopeless over the poll debacle of congress party since 2014.

Some party workers at the bottom of congress pyramid believes that Sonia Gandhi may be most sad than anyone else in the party for the present state of affairs of the party. But at the same time some party cadres also expressed the possibility that Sonia Gandhi may not be sad for the party or its utter failures but will be more sad and worried over the fate of Raghul Gandhi because her only wish today is not winning election or revival of congress party but wants her son to take over the party as its natural owner.

When Sonia Gandhi was propped up during UPA 1 and 2, she did not have had any over ambition over her son becoming the president of the congress party. Or such desire would have been in hibernating state them and hence the party survived somehow and all sycophants were continuously praising Sonia Gandhi.

Even the leader of communist party like late Jyothi Basu who lost his face and party after the party agrees to render its support to congress party and wants Sonia Gandhi to become prime minister of India. That was the beginning of fall of left in India. But today the only wish of Sonia Gandhi is to make her son as president of congress party and not whether congress party wins election or not.  For Sonia Gandhi the party is family property and therefore no one else other than the family members alone should head the party.

The challenge of congress party is two folds whereas the challenge of Sonia Gandhi is quite singular. Congress has to regain its lost grounds and also must get an inspiring leader outside of the Gandhi family. This is the challenge of congress party. But for Sonia Gandhi, congress whether gains its lost ground or not is not the primary concern put her un-teachable son must be made president of the party again.

In fact the dynasty culture and unwinnable, post-retired leaders of the congress party are collectively degenerating congress party from within by buttressing the open desire of Sonia Gandhi to make her son president of the party and later it looks like defeat the dynast by many tactical means so that the oldies will have some control over the party.

Every congress supporter must ask whether they continue in the party just to fulfill the desire of Sonia Gandhi to make her un-teachable son as president of congress party again or for the ideology of the party. If they chose the ideology, they must realize the truth that the party has lost its ideology long before when the party started to worship one family instead of India.

Instead of patriotism and nationalism, the party men largely express and exhibit Sonia-ism and dynasty-ism and that is why the party is degenerating day by day.

Modi has brought several transformations in the life of ordinary man ever since he came to power. Corruption in India has reduced significantly at top level, nepotism has disappeared, merit and not dynastic culture that prevails today in Indian politics. Modi is uniting India under one ethos and culture called Hinduism whereas congress party has divided India through minority appeasement and caste politics.

Congress party has started a new chapter in Indian politics that is called soft Hindutwa from Hindu terrorism sloganeering to appease minority communities and seriously polluted the secular credential of India. Modi is cleaning up Indian politics and corrupt system through structured reforms and pro-poor measures.

Indian needs to move forward, develop and prosper and therefore India should not think of the family politics of congress party or other dynastic political forces in India or the desire of Sonia Gandhi to make her son president of congress party. India need a firm, honest, endemically straight forward leader– Modi and Amit ShaH and decisive government and not tukde tukde gangs cobble up together and form government at centre and loot the country.  People should render their selfless, unconditional support to Modi to make India a great land where everyone of us partner and own such development, prosperity and sab ka vikas.

Jai Hind.
