Biden, a worry for India?

0

Today Mr. Dhume, whom we all know now wrote an article in Washington post. He took the exact position as expected and it is better to counter it with few facts and arguments. He and many people, in and out of India seem to believe that the change in administration in USA will shock the Indian government. Pro liberal party won the election and Trump lost. Frankly as an Indian it is better for us to have them in white house than Rep. will explain soon.

Coming to article Mr. Dhume claimed that Modi endorsed Trump in election. The fact is those who understand Hindi will not get confused. What Modi said was that the Trump has used his slogan in US. It is meant to show his popularity across world. Like he said, it was a tactic of diplomacy and have nothing to do with influencing election. The claim of “Bromance of Trump and Modi” is a fiction created by these same people. The fact is Modi is not Man Mohan to fold his hand look straight and walk silently. He is an active politician and understands the power of communication by all means. His laugh, his handshakes and hugs equals the power balance between two countries. He believes that India is a powerhouse of world and no less than ‘Western Democracies’.

Mr. Dhume also claimed that Pro BJP news channels interviewed populist politicians of America. So did the BBC in India, RT even interviewed Shehla Rashid, We see the debates on Al Jazeera and know what the get from India. Rana Ayyub and Sherwani Ma’am writes articles for NYT and WP. It is better to not talk about it as CNN even interviewed Hafiz Saeed. ‘B.L. Santhosh, a senior figure in the BJP, responded to a Bernie Sanders tweet about anti-Muslim mob violence in India by threatening that “you compel us to play a role in Presidential elections.” Though he deleted his tweet’, but there was nothing wrong. If America has a finger to insert in anyone’s matter, so has India. We are not a small country in Africa to push down. We in ourselves are a powerhouse of world. A pole with a lot of gravity to make a change. Look at the way dem have used people of Indian origin to attract votes. Though the claimant change their identity to African, American, south Asian or Indian as required. If US tries to woo India, we are not going to hang our head in shame now.

Mr. Dhume further claimed, ‘The Indian media has gone after the Democrat for his campaign website’s negative comments on a recent Indian law.’ Now the point is if Indian media won’t defend India then who will? The alleged Law, CAA, he is talking about is giving citizenship to minorities on three countries. Mr. Dhume should know they are not Muslim Majority countries, they are ISLAMIC REPUBLICs. It was a historical promise which took seventy years to complete. If you don’t know history then better to stay away from it.

NRC and NPR are necessary to find out the real citizens. These laws are not interconnected as projected by media. Whether Kamal Harris say something or Pramila Jaypal, It frankly doesn’t matter. Kashmir is integral part of India by virtue of accession. Decisions for the state will be taken same as for others. Neither Biden nor Harris needs to worry about it ever.

India US relation would not change by Twits and neither have they changed by an article in Washington post. Mr. Dhume later claims ‘Indians would be foolish to expect the free pass on human rights and democracy issued by the Trump administration to remain valid.’ First thing is US is not flag bearer of democracies and human rights. We have strong objections on how African Americans are treated there. The constant killings of people in was areas, created by US is a problem to world. The Middle Eastern crisis is a self-made by US. India issues no free pass to US either on such issues. Killing of George floyed is same as killing of Ankit Sharma here and America should feel shame about it as a society. It is better to not talk about democracy when we have seen all the drama recently. It’s been ten days and still nobody knows who is president elect. Videos have come out of ballots in trash cans. Voters of age 200 have also voted this time. US may call it a perfect democracy but the reality is far away.

About Indian media, it’s true it is worse than it was, but it is still better than silent propagandist like BBC and Al Jazeera. Indian media is free like never before. People sit in prime time every night and curse this government as if they are demons. No action is done on then till now. People write about government in NYT and WP every Sunday and no notice is issued to them. Cases are filed on journalists but they are not above law either. Mistakes will be punished according to law and will go from a robust judiciary.

Mr. Dhume has the right to write anything about India and I have the write to counter him too. Democracies are not perfect, we can always find each other’s loopholes. Digest the fact that people of India have voted for Modi with 303 seats. Accept the verdict and even if you don’t, we have no problem because we are a functioning democracy.

Assimilating English into the wave of Hindutva

0

Cognizant as I am of the unpalatable essence of the very lexeme, “Hindutva”, to the minds of many, I must elucidate at the very outset that I shall nonetheless not elaborate on my preference for it. While I view it as synonymous with India’s civilizational truth — evident to the founding fathers of the modern republic themselves — many shall by prerogative disagree, and I do not intend to proselytize. I must therefore not get into its specifics. The central theme of this essay is the skepticism and occasional animus against the English language that the coeval resurgence of cultural nationalism in India is often redolent of, and it is most apt to so proceed.

We regard English rather flippantly as the ultimate secret which a shrewd Thomas Babington Macaulay must have discovered — a secret to governing the impossibly diverse land that would eventually be the crown jewel of the British Empire. Fortunately for the proponents of English such as me, the British during their reign did not adequately invest in educating the Indian masses in the colonial language. As Dr. Shashi Tharoor noted in a lecture in 2017, the eminent historian Will Durant wrote that the national education budget of India in the 1930s, needless to say under British misrule, was a paltry less than 10% of the budget of merely New York City in the same era. Evidently, the colonial government was not keen on imparting the education of English to the benighted masses.

The reticence to teach English is to my mind quite understandable. Exposure to English could have introduced to the minds of the people an assortment of thoughts, in particular those pertinent to the ideas of liberty, equality and so forth. The British truly did not want to teach the English language. Instead, they sought to impart such education to a select few as to cultivate a class of Indians who were Indian in appearance but anglophile in their thoughts. The very education assiduously tailored to foster Anglophilia amongst Indians appeared to backfire, given that the Congress adopted the English language and employed it for nationalist purposes.

A significant number of stalwarts of that era wrote in English. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote the epochal Glimpses of World History and The Discovery of India in English. An appreciable portion if not all of Mahatma Gandhi’s Collected Works consists of works he wrote in English. Savarkar wrote his seminal disquisition Hindutva in English. Dr. Ambedkar wrote nearly all of his thirty plus books in English. Given that the history of India is replete with instances of cultural assimilation, including synthesis of languages with one another, there is no reason to trust that Indians could not do the same with the English language, which has assumed greater significance in this era of globalization. To transform the platitudinous view of English as a colonial language into the view that it could be utilitarian in the Indian national endeavour must be the paramount province of Indians themselves.

The contemporary era in India is no longer characterized with opportunities inordinately exclusive for STEM graduates. Conceding that STEM is engaged capaciously in value-addition, the view that hopeless people alone opt for arts and humanities is no longer true. One could graduate in B.A. English (Hons.) and find lucrative jobs in content writing, journalism and so forth. As has long been evident, English is the supereminent language of the academic and professional world, and is therefore the language of opportunity and self-advancement.

English shall be very felicitous to this resurgence of cultural nationalism in India. Dr. Tharoor in the aforesaid lecture cites professor Diana Eck, in whose analysis the very genesis of English literature as an academic discipline eventuated in India, and thus the nation’s very providence is inexorably entwined with the English language. Why then, for instance, does the Indian government never incentivize the creation of Indian English literature? Indeed, Indian authors and authors of Indian origin in foreign nations have significantly contributed to English literature, such as through the extremely phenomenal Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie which is the quintessence of postcolonial literature. Vikram Seth has written the voluminous novel A Suitable Boy, a few others such as An Equal Music and The Golden Gate, and numerous delightsome poems. Her overly eccentric views notwithstanding, Arundhati Roy has made her presence felt, too, through her novel The God of Small Things which is replete with imaginative and luscious prose. Indeed, excerpts of them all must be taught to school students.

But the foregoing examples use the post-colonial nation-state of India as its milieu, whereas India has been a civilization going back millennia. India also has in its vault of history a cornucopia of philosophical and metaphysical truths that must also be translated into lyrical English and integrated into the national curriculum as fine examples of Indian English literature. The key words are “lyrical English”; they must employ imaginative language, similar if not identical to that in English translations of the Bible. But these must refer to the eminent professor Rajiv Malhotra’s book Sanskrit Non-Translatables, so as to not mistakenly translate such Sanskrit words as have no actual equivalents in English. The best example of this is Dharma, which is erroneously translated to religion. Dharma, therefore, need not be translated. Such words must be incorporated into English literatim. The significance of such an endeavour cannot be trivialized. Dr. Richard Dawkins, quite famous for adhering to neo-atheism, has often opined that it was impossible to be rooted in British, and indeed western culture, without studying Bible as an indispensable part of literature. How is it, then, that we in India do not study our own philosophies and scriptures as integral components of Indian literature?

While we may justly hold the government accountable, nothing exonerates students from their own lackadaisical approach towards the English language. Schoolchildren devote their time, not entirely sans reason, to more vital subjects such as Science, mathematics and social sciences, relegating English to the periphery. While devoting relatively less time to English is natural, the manner in which they learn it is asinine if not abominable. They memorize the syllabus so as to earn a good grade and not imbibe the quality of language. Schools are in part to blame, for they do not as a convention introduce students to formal presentations early on. They do not conduct periodic group discussions on topics taught in school in the range of subjects children are exposed to. Thus, they do not incentivize English communication amongst students. Given that the brain of a child quickly learns several pivotal skills, formal allocution could well be an added skill for their benefit.

In the highly intellectual sphere of political science, the creation of a paradigm grounded in India’s civilizational truth — a core aim of cultural resurgence — would be greatly felicitous so as to provide a theoretical framework for India’s special genius. It would serve as a defence against the often attractive but protractedly perilous worldviews of Marxism. But prior to thus reinventing political science, we would do well to correct our parlance, in order to prevent confusion with regard to academic discourse concerning India’s identity.

Our understanding of communalism in particular is rather contorted. The highly erudite authors Harsh Madhusudan and Rajeev Mantri lucidly explain in their book, “A New Idea of India: Individual Rights in a Civilizational State”:

The fundamental flaw of modern India’s secularism as practiced today is that it embodies a confusion between the State and the Society. Nowhere is this confusion more evident than in the way secularism and communalism are routinely hailed as antonyms. The opposite of secularism is not communalism but theocracy, for secularism is a feature of the State; nation-states can be secular or theocratic. Communalism is a feature of all societies. In a free, democratic and liberal country, when people who share the same ideas build coalitions and alliances, it is not only acceptable but sometimes even welcome. It is precisely through the creation of non-birth based, idea-driven networks and communities that ideational synthesis happens and social mobility accelerates.

They note that communalism is a lovely ‘ism’ with a neutral meaning in the rest of the world but with connotations of ‘bigotry’ in India. This is a most significant corrective Indians must implement. So soon as we fundamentally alter what communalism means, the foundation for the preaching of faux secularism in the garb of true secularism shall also be lost, thereby paving the way for a civilizational narrative to build itself. To lend impetus to such a paradigm, it is vital to articulate in English, for it is the creole of academia.

English must not be viewed as antonymous to regional languages. To be acculturated to two or three languages is quite common in India, and English is invariably one of them. It is for the market, if not the government, to incentivize learning regional languages and build industries around them. That would be an innovation in light of the heightened significance English shall assume.

If we are to popularize a culture-rooted narrative, English shall be of great import. It is possible to not adopt the anglophile elitism and yet stay relevant in academia espousing such a narrative. Whether Indians succeed in such a unique endeavour remains to be seen.

Poll 2020, thumbs up to BJP’s Corona management & Tejaswi politics

The election to Bihar assembly as well as by-elections to eleven state assemblies’ 59 seats spread over politically significant states from north-east’s Manipur and Nagaland to northern states Haryana, UP and Jharkhand, central states MP and Chhattisgarh, eastern state Odisha, western state Gujarat, and southern states Telengana and Karnataka have been held and results have been announced early this week after unusually long counting process rarely seen since launch of EVM, much due to Covid19 guidelines that Election Commission of India had imposed throughout the election process.

This peaceful three phase election in politically sensitive state Bihar is one of the most outstanding development or one can claim a major achievement, hardly seen during elections in last few decades in the state, thank to sushasana branded sitting CM of Bihar Mr. Nitish Kumar(69), who has given top priority to law and order throughout his rule, and partly Tejaswi Yadav, who tried to distance him and his party from his parents’ kind of ‘jungle raj’ politics. Kumar’s major achievement among others is scaling down of one and half decade long jungle raj of previous Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri regimes. Unfortunately, Kumar’s party JDU, which had second highest number of lawmakers in the last assembly with 71 members, is one of the biggest losers in this election as it has been reduced to 43. And this is the first significant elections held while the whole country -irrespective of states and regions- has been struggling to survive from global pandemic, the kind the human civilization as a whole has not ever experienced.

Anyway despite pandemic and its huge fallouts with loss of large number of human lives and related heavy economic cost and oppositions from several quarters to postpone the election till pandemic is subsided or controlled, the elections were held. And the voters turn out was overwhelming.

By-elections to 11 state assemblies

Total 59 seats were in the electoral fray. Of that 41 i.e. 69% won by BJP, while 18 seats have been shared by three regional parties JMM, BJD and NDPP and one national party i.e. Congress. At the top of BJP performance is the result in Gujarat where party clean swept all the 8 seats, which were won by Congress in the last general election to state assembly and the MLAs had resigned to join BJP, which necessitated the by-election, belying the expectation of Congress that the voters will teach a lesson to MLAs who switched side. Similarly, in Manipur, out of four seats got vacated due to resignation of Congress MLAs, and election held, three have gone to BJP and one to independent. In MP, out of 28 seats in fray, BJP won 19 seats and Congress won 9 seats. Out of the total 28 seats, 22 were vacated due to resignations of Congress MLAs when grand old party’s senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia revolted which caused fall of Congress’s Kamal Nath government. Subsequently, Congress dissidents joined BJP, and 15 of those 22 emerge victorious with BJP tickets. Gujarat, Manipur and MP by-election results have made it loud and clear that ‘politicians’ betrayal to political parties does not matter to voters’.

In Karnataka, Odisha and Jharkhand two seats each and in Chhattisgarh one seat in the by-elections, the ruling parties such as BJP, BJD, JMM-Congress alliance and Congress respectively bagged all the seats. While in Karnataka, the saffron party snatched two seats from secular alliance of Congress-JDS; in Odisha, regional party BJD snatched one seat from national party BJP and retained one seat; and in Chhattisgarh, Congress snatched lone seat from regional party Janata Congress of late Ajit Jogi family. In Telengana, BJP snatched lone seat from ruling regional party Telengana Rashtriya Samiti. In Jharkhand, BJP got biggest shock as ruling coalition snatched two seats from it. In Haryana, the ruling national party lost lone seat to opposition Congress; while in Nagaland, ruling regional party NDPP won one and independent one. Over all in the by-elections, the voters have given verdict to ruling parties. And a thumbs up to the effort of governments in so far as their managements of dreaded pandemic are concerned. This is major take away from the by-elections in 11 state.

Bihar Assembly election

In Bihar, the election basically held between two alliances of National Democratic Alliance lead by sitting Chief Minister and veteran politician Nitish Kumar and opposition leader and Mahagathbandhan lead by 31 year old son of corruption tainted and convicted former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav though there was third alliance called Grand Democratic Secular Front (GDSF) under the leadership of Hyderabad based AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owasis. GDSF alliance partner were Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLKP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). AIMIM clinched five seats and alliance partner BSP bagged one.

Party wise success status: NDA’s BJP won 74 seats and JDU won 43, while their junior partners HAM and VIP won four seats each. Put together, NDA won 125 seats. Mahagathbandhan’s RJD won 75 seats, which is single largest party, and Congress bagged 19 seats, while their junior partners’ a combination of three Left parties (CPI-ML, CPI and CPIM) won 16 seats. Together, they won 110 seats. In the house of 243, NDA with 125 seats has got just absolute majority, and will form the government.

Though NDA’s leading party BJP as per pre-poll agreement has, since result is announced, accepted Nitish Kumar as alliance’s CM; yet Kumar and his party are the biggest losers. Other biggest losers are: Grand old party Congress and so-called dalit vanguard LJP and their crown prince Rahul Gandhi and Chirag Paswan respectively. Among the biggest gainers are NDA’s BJP, which for the first time clinched alliance’s driver sit despite contesting less number of seats compare to JDU as it bagged 74 seats, un-scalable for other alliance partners as JDU has fallen to 43 seat from 2015’s 71 seats, and Mahagathbandhan’s Left and RJD and latter’s leader Tejaswai Yadav.

This time Congress bagged 19 seats out of 70 seats contested, whereas RJD bagged 75 seats out of 144 seats and Left combined won 16 seats out of 29 seats contested. Mahagathnandhan’s result clearly demonstrates that Congress is the biggest dragger of Grand Alliance. This result has reduced the grand old party to the level of political pariah not only in Bihar but also in all over India, meaning any party before going to forge alliance with Congress-Gandhi has to think twice before forging alliance as benefit is doubtful. Other loser is the nation as a whole as it is fast being deprived of national opposition party against ruling national party BJP, a big loss to Indian Democracy. On the other hand, Indian Democracy is about to gain by way of the fast eclipse of biggest undemocratic dynasty i.e. Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, which has been a role-model for other dynastic political parties in India.

Regarding other loser LJP and its owner Chirag Paswan, which won just one seat, it is difficult to gauss his game plan. There are several possibilities. Till the death of party founder Ram Vilas Paswan, which happened during the election process, the party was in NDA alliance in the centre and late Paswan was in union cabinet. LJP mainly contested against JDU with stated objective to see that BJP candidate to be CM, while BJP leadership accused LJP as vote-cutter. And from the result, it is clear that JDU is a big loser due to vote-cutter LJP. Among the many guesses, here are two: 1. Chirag Paswan might be used by BJP to reduce JDU and Nitish Kumar importance in state politics. And 2. Junior Paswan might have been scheming to replace aging Kumar in NDA’s Bihar politics.

When BJP gains is its leadership gets a stamp of approval on their policies and governance, there is a lot to discuss about gain of Tejaswi Yadav as a politician and RJD as a regional party for future in Bihar. Now, Tejaswi has been successful in establishing himself as the only undisputed owner of RJD among his nine siblings (two brothers and seven sisters, including three already in politics), and to a great extent, he has been able to decouple the party from its tainted past and parental negative legacy by way of not allowing his parents in election campaign despite NDA’s campaign slogan against Mahagathbandh included ‘Jungle Raj’ verbatim. For first time, in long past four decades, Lalu had not campaign in state election. In Bihar politics, after Kumar’s declaration that this election is his last, the future election will be fought between national party BJP and Tejaswi.

In this election, Left parties are too major gainer as they have bagged 16 seats out of 29 contested. But, in view of their violence characteristics, having no national presence, and in increasingly democratized world, theirs this election gain is not sustainable. Moment Tejaswi comes to power on his own, which is not impossible, in state’s caste based politics, he will first to finish CPI-ML, which won 12 seats out of 19 contested and most radical one among the three Left parties, like Rajashekhar Reddy did in Andhra Pradesh and Mamata Banarjee did in West Bengal to radical Left.

Vivekananda’s statue to be unveiled at JNU: A brief past

0

India being a vast country with its borders ranging from the Himalayas in the north to Kanyakumari in the south, sheltering communities of various faiths and practices. The country has been an example of harmony to the west. The country has been home to many great personalities in all the fields present for human discovery. Philosophers, researchers, scientists, mathematicians, engineers but surely among those jewels the one who shone the brightest was the crown jewel of India, Swami Vivekananda. The man who introduced the Indian way to the west. But sadly even he is not left untouched by the unscrupulous elements of the society.

Not even a year has passed since Swami Vivekananda’s statue was defaced at Delhi’s JNU, the incident which came to light after a video depicting messages directed towards the right wing outfit BJP at the statue’s base went viral. The yet to be unveiled statue was defaced with messages that read “Fascism will die”, “Bhagwa” and many other direct abuses to the party in power.

Swami Vivekananda’s statue which was vandalized last year in JNU.

The bigger picture was the demand for rollback of hostel fee hike that was imposed on the students, but the poor Swami just got caught in the midst of a mass scale vandalism of the JNU administrative block. Such is the condition of this harmonious country that the man who preached the unification of all religions is being hated for being a Hindu.

As different streams having different sources all mingle their waters in the sea, so different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to God.

Swami Vivekananda

Such a profound message was preached by the swami whose bust was vandalized and called ‘Bhagwa’. Ironical!

The same statue is scheduled to be unveiled by PM Narendra Modi on November 12 via a video-conferencing, which will be preceded by a programme on the swami. More drama awaits? Only time can tell but one thing’s for sure. Long gone are the days of a India that was secular, now a university can only have statues fitting it’s ideological affiliations.

Light- A spiritual view

0

There are but few entities that cannot derive their essential meaning, plainly through reflecting upon a certain set of limited aspects. A physicist may define light as an electromagnetic wave, whereas a spiritualist may call it the essence of jivatma, or an all-encompassing divine unit. To examine this in its entirety, we must adopt a spiritual view of reality that transcends both conventional science and religion, as suggested by Steve Taylor. The Indus or inhabitants of Bharat possess the most pioneering and scientifically consistent spiritual system that has ever existed.

The jiva is the soul, the spark, the descent of Paramatma in all beings. Dharma is the instrument that makes you more aware of the jiva within yourself. It is the light that illuminates the path of realisation of the jiva, and further, this attainment in itself is light. So, light is not only knowledge but the path and means of achieving the ultimate knowledge. It is the elimination of the intellect plagued by non-progressive forces. It is the source of all universal energy. The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad contains a well-known verse that talks about “going from darkness to light” to attain immortal bliss. Yet, realising the light in what you believe is in your own hands. As the saying goes, ‘Atmadeepa Bhava‘, show yourself the path first, be your own light!

Lawyer writes to CJI; seeks Suo moto cognizance on the defamatory tweets of Kunal Kamra

0

Lucknow based advocate Siddhant Mishra on Thursday wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of India SA Bobde urging him to take Suo moto cognizance on the defamatory tweets of Kunal Kamra against the sitting judge of Supreme Court Hon’ble Justice Dr D.Y Chandarchud.

“It is with great concern that I thought it proper to address this letter to Your Lordship so as to highlight the series of tweets by Mr. Kunal Kamra. The contemnor is an artist with 1.7 Million followers on twitter and is involved in making scandalous allegations against Hon’ble Justice Dr Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud. The allegations made are unfounded and are capable of shaking the very pedestal of the judicial administration and also undermine the faith of common man in the administration of justice.” the letter by Siddhant Mishra reads. The letter further says “That our constitution guarantees freedom of speech and expression; freedom is not absolute as envisaged by our framers under Article 19(2). That the contemnor has sought to abuse this very freedom in order to scandalize the institution as a whole. Though a fair criticism of a judgment is permissible but the same cannot be exceeded to include in making allegations against the sitting judge of this court.”

The letter appealed to the Hon’ble Supreme Court “It is the fundamental duty of every citizens to abide the Indian Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions. There can be no justification to make unfounded allegation of the courts being compromised and particularly to put derogatory tweets against the sitting judge of this court as public interest demands that there should be no interference with the judicial process.”

“That it is unfortunate that the contemnor feels that he is above the rule of law due to courts inaction and he is the only champion of the causes. It is evident from his tweets that the hunger of cheap publicity is increasing which is making it more difficult for the courts to render justice fearlessly as it leaves a deep psychological impact on the Judges by serious and unwanted shadow of doubts for no good reason whatsoever.”

The petitioner prayed “Hon’ble Court takes Suo moto cognizance of the abuse of freedom of speech and expression. That it will give wrong message to the citizens throughout the country if such rabble rousing is allowed under the veil of free speech against the highest court of this country and in particular against the sitting Judge of this court.”

Personal liberty must be upheld

This comes after the Supreme Court bench of Justices D.Y. Chandrachud and Indira Banerjee on Wednesday ordered the release of Republic TV owner and editor Arnab Goswami and his other co-accused on interim bail, after hearing the appeal against the Bombay high court order denying Goswami interim relief.

Liberal left blame France for Samuel Paty’s murder

0

Its a known fact, New York Times is a hive of radical Left activist posing as liberals but now they have even thrown away the thin veneer of make believe which is good in a way, we know who they truly are, but this was an absolutely appalling news article justifying the murderous attack by a Islamic terrorist on a unsuspecting innocent school teacher Samuel Paty. What is more appalling is that it is written by two journalists one of whom is a Pulitzer winner, Norimitsu Onishi. If this was written by an Islamic scholar or disaffected immigrant one could have understood the reasoning to scapegoat France but both journalists are French speaking individuals successfully integrated residents of France but have squarely laid the blame of the decapitation and murder of the school teacher on France, French people and France’s ‘failed’ integration policies.

The killing has underscored the increasing challenges to that system as France grows more racially and ethnically diverse. Two or three generations of newcomers have now struggled to integrate into French society

New York Times

The two eminent intellectuals blame France for forcing the immigrants to forget their native identity and become little French caricatures. Is it wrong if France expects immigrants and refugees to abide by and respect France’s core foundational principals of Secularism and Freedom especially if these people want to become French citizens. Didn’t these very people leave their native country because of oppression, lack of freedom and discrimination?

Taking a sarcastic tone, they mock the French education and school system for imposing its French culture and identity on students, sounds similar to the Left activists in India who protest a school curriculum which builds a spirit of nationalistism and patriotism.

French leaders have promised to redouble their defense of a public educational system that plays an essential role in shaping national identity…

New York Times

According to these journalists the French education system is shaping a national identity which causes a problem to immigrants and refugees. The article proposes that immigrants need not be assimilated or integrated, they want France to leave the immigrants to their own devices, allow them a free run of the country’s facilities and benefits without bothering to respect the host country, its culture and values.

France is multi racial and multi cultural country, at least Paris is to a great extent. People from ex French colonies live in all parts of France. There are people from far east – China, Vietnam, Cambodia, even Indians, Sri Lankan Tamil’s, Mauritians, Madagascar and West and Central Africans among other nationalities. How is it that these cultural and religious groups are living in harmony and within the laws of the French constitution.

Why is it that we don’t hear a machete wielding Tamil or Cambodian slaughtering innocent passers by on a street or a Church in Paris? Why is it that we don’t hear about riots by Chinese immigrants, burning cars on New Years eve? Why we don’t see gangs of Vietnamese or Hindus battling police in the streets or joining terrorist organisations? Why is that the so called ‘failed’ French immigration and schooling system is not adversely impacting Africans, Indians or Chinese immigrants or any other cultural and religious groups? Why are people from these cultures not picking up weapons to kill the French and blaming them at every turn for all their misery? I am sure they may have had many occasions where they would have felt racially discriminated or abused for colour of their skin, culture, food or religion.

Similar arguments were made in Belgium about the integration challenges there, how North African, Turkish, Arab immigrants were not feeling welcome in Belgium, were not able to integrate into Belgian society. There are many non European immigrants who have had tough times integrating into Belgian society but they never picked up a weapon as a reaction. Most of them have concentrated on their studies, work and their business, moved forward in life. Success at work and education are great lubricants in the integration process.

In between the focus on the failed French integration system, the flawed education system and the pathetic white wash of Abdoullakh Anzorov the 18 year old Muslim Chechen who murdered Samuel Paty, the people at New York Times tried to misdirect the readers from the real problem which is radical Islamic-Jehadi indoctrination. They have not once in the entire justification for murder mention radial Islam as the real problem. They completely side stepped the elephant in the room and made all kinds of lame excuses to justify the murder of the school teacher.

France has a cultural and foundational value system that gives it a distinct identity. Over thousands of years Franks, a Germanic people who gave the country its name, Vikings, Britons, Goths etc settled there and made what we know as France and French culture today. Muslim immigrants and refugees should respect it and be aware of the impact on their belief system, if they feel France or European culture is difficult to reconcile with and a difficult place to live they are welcome to leave or not arrive at the shores in the first place, they dont bring any skill or expertise that is lacking in Europe and I dont think the French or the European people will miss their absence.

Importance of Vedic knowledge in modern times

0

Why was it that we Indians, always look at what is wrong with India and never appreciate what is great about our country? As a nation we have survived the test of time. Even though we are still a growing economy, we are not a failed nation. In the past, our country had achieved the peak of success for thousands of years. How many nations can boast of such a heritage?

It is proved that modern day discoveries, inventions, theories, concepts are broadly based on Vedic knowledge/literature. Many scientists have studied Vedic literature to get indepth insights of scientific, spiritual, psychological, behavioral knowledge.

Ancient Gurukul education system was honored worldwide owing to its multi-dimensional, life and scientific management approach, various skills and knowledge imparted since childhood. Developing leadership qualities, Management principles and concepts, teamwork, problem-solving techniques with ease and calm mind, understanding mind and its complexity, sharpen intellect and memory, seeing and managing ego, understanding soul spiritually and by scientific means, research and development, environment management were all part of vedic education system apart from science, mathematics, social science, grammer in our ancient Gurukul system.

Then what went wrong that we went away from our vedic culture and Gurukul education system?
Universities like Takshshila and Nalanda were considered top most universities in the world, today our universities are not even in top 200 universities worldwide. When we had gained higher position globally i.e. socially, economically and spiritually owing to our virtues, Vedic knowledge, complacency and careless attitude costed us dearly, our enemies were conspiring to destroy us, first Mughals and then Britishers.

Mughals had started setting narrative against our great culture as they wanted to capture our territories to exploit the economic resources and for religious conversion of the people and they succeeded to some extend by creating rift on caste basis, coercion, loot…

Later on, Britishers came, they realized that to get control for longer time, they need to destroy the culture and education system. They appointed Max Muller and Thomas Macaulay to make this happen, it actually did happen as they planned.

Max Muller, perhaps the most well known early indologist and sanskritist, was the one who tried to set narrative against Vedas and great Indian culture as desired by the British government. He and other Indologists wanted to control and convert the followers of vedic culture, therefore they widely propagated that the Vedas were simply mythology. They intentionally misinterpreted sanskrit texts to make the Vedas look primitive and they systematically tried to make Indians ashamed of their own culture. Aryan invasion theory was one such creation of fake history by these Indologists.

Thus the actions of these Indologists seems to indicate that they were motivated by a racial race. Although later in life, Max Muller glorified the Vedas. He admitted the purely speculative nature of his vedic chronology, and in his last work published shortly before his death, “The six systems of Indian Philosophy”, he wrote, “whatever be the date of vedic hymns whether 1500 or 15000 B.C.E., they have their own unique place and stand by themselves in the literature of the world.”

Thomas Macaulay, who introduced english education in India wanted to make the Indians into a race that was, Indian in blood and color, but English in taste, in opinion, in morals, and in intellect.
However, if we study our great literature, we come to know what we have lost as generations, mentioning few facts…

Acharya Chanakya, political thinker, he was the first to visualise the concept of a ‘nation’ for the first time in human history. During his time, India was split into various kingdoms. He brought them all together under one central governance, thus creating a nation called ‘Aryavartha’, which later became India. He documented his lifelong work in his book Kautilya’s Arthashastra and Chanakya Niti. For ages, rulers across the world have referred to the Arthashastra for building a nation on sound economics, based on spiritual values.

Management has been recognised as a science since the 1950s. One of the fathers of modern management is Peter Drucker. But didn’t ‘management’ exist in India even before the 1950s and the Drucker era? As a nation we have over 5000 years to our credit. Did we not have management scientists in our country before the 20 th century? In the ancient Indian scriptures — Ramayana, Mahabharata, the various Upanishads — we found brilliant discussions of management strategies.

Acharya Chanakya’s management philosophies/principles were used to make modern principles and are being used worldwide.

The vedic literatures contain descriptions of advanced scientific techniques, sometimes even more sophisticated than those used in our modern technological world. Modern metallurgists have not been able to produce iron of comparable quality to the 22 foot high Iron pillar of Delhi, which is the largest hand forged block of iron from antiquity.

Vedic Cosmology, Astrology, Space reasearch, Planets and galaxies, medicinal science and surgery, nuclear theory, thermodynamics, energy concepts, environment management and many discoveries and innovations are part of Vedic literature.

We as Indians suffered a heavy loss economically, socially and spiritually owing to ignorance of our great Vedic literature. It is time to put our focus back on Vedic knowledge so that our youngsters grow on all fronts especially research and development, skills and knowledge building to make India great again and lead the world with balanced growth.

Whatever I said above is a material knowledge of the Vedic literature. The Vedas however has Spiritual knowledge and more superior realized knowledge of saints as well.

What Bihar election results teaches to Hindus

0

BJP won 74 seats in Bihar election while RJD won 75 seats But the problem why Owaisi party won 5 seats needs to be examined.

Bihar’s largest political party by seats as of now is RJD with 75 seats and RJD core votes come from Yadav and Muslim community. BJP becomes this time second-largest party with 74 seats and its core votes are the so-called upper caste. The rest community’s votes are divided over various parties. RJD wins the majority of seats by combining Yadav votes with Muslim votes, but this time RJD tried to come out from this tradition and given some tickets to RJD taboo upper caste Bhumihar, like Anant Singh, very well known Baahubali. But the problem is why RJD lost those 5 Muslim majority seats, this indicates a very dangerous trend.

Why Muslims did not vote RJD on those 5 seats? This needs to be examined. One thing I observe from that is Muslims did not vote for RJD while they vote because they have no option to win so let defeat BJP and for this, they vote RJD that’s it. There is no mutual foundation between RJD and Muslims voters, Muslims vote against RJD on those seats where they think they will defeat BJP and win the seats for their own votes. So basically they are mocking MY bonding. Yadavs need to understand the fact that they never accept you, they only using our support to suppress BJP that’s their only agenda. think if Muslims become 40% of the population do you think this MY bonding will work? The answer is definitely not. Lalu Yadav was never against Hindu culture also he is one of those leaders who celebrated Hindus festivals with full swing. One thing we must remember they will never, ever support you, they only use your support to fulfill their own agenda.

Ambedkar wrote in his book one must read this quote very patiently- “Hinduism is said to divide people and in contrast, Islam is said to bind people together. This is only a half-truth. For Islam divides as inexorably as it binds. Islam is a close corporation and the distinction that it makes between Muslims and non-Muslims is a very real, very positive, and very alienating distinction. The brotherhood of Islam is not the universal brotherhood of man. It is the brotherhood of Muslims for Muslims only. There is a fraternity, but its benefit is confined to those within that corporation. For those who are outside the corporation, there is nothing but contempt and enmity.

The second defect of Islam is that it is a system of social self-government and is incompatible with local self-government because the allegiance of a Muslim does not rest on his domicile in the country which is his but on the faith to which he belongs. To the Muslim ibi bene ibi patria [Where it is well with me, there is my country] is unthinkable. Wherever there is the rule of Islam, there is his own country. In other words, Islam can never allow a true Muslim to adopt India as his motherland and regard a Hindu as his kith and kin.” (read more about Ambedkar view on Islam).

Just remind you, there is no caste politics in Kashmir today, you know the reason very well. Stop your respective state to become the next Kashmir. You might be not aware of History but your present also indicating you to understand the scenario and rectified the mistake made by our ancestors.
