Hinduism and science

The world is seeing a rise in disbelief for religion. Science is now the oracle of truth not the holy texts. However, I believe science must not close its gate on religion it has a lot to learn from it. I am a Hindu and a staunch believer of science, and I will try to explain it from a point of view of a Hindu.

Before, I divulge further I would like to say two things first that we must not  blindly follow religion and second we must not just throw out religion. Let me talk in context of Hinduism as I belief Hinduism has a lot to offer to modern science. Hinduism is one of the oldest religion, which is believed by some that it existed since the origin of time, whereas many scholars consider the origin of Hinduism to be around 2300 BC. No matter the exact origin of it, it has lingered around with us for thousands of years, believed by rational minds like Swami Vivekananda, Chanakya etc. Years of human experience, literatures comprise Hinduism. I believe it won’t be fair to term it irrational, if it would be so, it would have been bound to perish long ago. “Survival of the fittest” as said by Drawin.

We should not belief religion blindly. Why? A game of Chinese Whisper is a great example of it. Here is a short story I came across recently. A school inspector visited a village school and asked the last bencher to answer who have painted Mona Lisa. The school teacher somehow managed to say the answer to the student in first bench and asked to relay the answer to the student at last. The last bencher answered the inspector “Priyadarshin Munshi” . The teacher was shocked. Later it was understood in the relay of answer, “Leonardo Da Vinci” became “Priyadarshin Munshi”. This is true with religion even. It has been years after years commented, explained, translated and modified by various individuals and it has changed religion in a drastic way. Particularly Hinduism a religion that does not have a specific code defining it and its principles and so it is bounded to have been mended according to individuals and the need of time. Even at times many social norms where made in place with the help of religion so that people follow it.

A good example of it is in among the Hindus. Hindus tend to believe going to temple or cooking food is a sin when a women who is menstruating. This might seem very absurd. Periods does not make someone bad, and the whole month a women can do the chores visit temple but just for those certain 3-5 days they don’t become dirty. It is correct. Hinduism does not say that is sin at least what I believe so.  We Hindus even pray menstruating Goddess. And this is something for which I am a Hindu, Hinduism allows you the liberty to analyze and custom it your own way. There is no particular eternal text that codifies the Hindus. It is a spiritual way of life. Anyways let’s come back to menstruation and sin. Imagine just a hundred years ago that women had so much physical work to do.  In a traditional Hindu family the household chores and hindu rituals are conducted by women. 

Most houses domesticated animals that was taken care by women. Even today, when it comes to make a house a home, the women is the master. I believe it is fair enough to make sure that women take rest for at a regular interval. And what could be better than allowing them to rest on periods. Moreover, we have to remember we did not have such good hygiene/sanitary products and painkillers then. So a religious norm was justified. But yes as I said Chinese Whisper, people interpreted their way and made it a sin. And yes we can surely do away with this norm as the situation have changed giving woman free choice where or not she is willing to cook and visit temple. If periods would be a sin then we all would be sinful as no human would be born without it. By the way, a lesser known fact even the Supreme God, Krishna was not free from this misinterpretation, The Bhagwad Gita was originally said by Krishna to the Sun God, but as it passed down, it got modified; so the lord himself, decided to say it once more to Arjuna.

Hindu texts have many scientific knowledge with accurate numbers. Like the Hanuman Chalisa written around 16th Century AD which has  a quite accurate information about  speed of light, a data that in known to us in the 19th century. Among other innumerous examples, some that align with modern science and some that might be truth according to modern science in future, I would like to discuss a scientific theory along with my explanation and connect with Hinduism.

Let me define a symbol repeater , it is a set of brackets followed by a number in subscript , anything inside the bracket needs to be repeated as many times defined in subscript. For example, If I want to write English alphabet 10 times I can write as (A to Z)10. Now this is very simple and we use such things in our day-to-day life. We compress information to a smallest possible way and extract it as our need. For example if I want to know the square plus 1 of integers we can write as y=(x)2 +1 where x belongs to integers. With this particular compressed information, we can figure out “the square plus 1 of integers”. We give the needed input and get the corresponding output. Similarly, in science complex mechanism can be easily predict if we have its equation. Now it is clearly understood something that has pattern is not random can only be compressed to so that we do not lose any bit of information and use the compressed information to predict the extended information.

Imagine (AB)100 easy to predict right! Even without writing, the uncompressed information we can easily say it is AB written 100 times. But imagine this particular essay, is it possible to compress it into a simple form like (AB)100 ., No we cannot. There the words are random in the sense there is no definite pattern governing it. The words are used and placed as it was necessary not following any particular sequence so it is not compressible. Right now alphabets are in my brain. My brain is forming it words. The words then form an essay in my computer. But this is interesting, that information could be compressed cannot be now compressed back when used. Letters of English can be compressed as alphabets of English, a clear definite and anyone can retrieve the exact information. The second stage is words, now one can define it as all meaningful words in English language but that is breaks the preciseness. While writing this my brain can only provide me with those words that I know which a subset of all meaningful words in English. And compressing it to all English words I know, that will be absurd as no one can predict that, no one can accurately extract back the definite information from the compression. And for the third stage, a paragraph I find no meaningful way to compress that.

Now in general we don’t generally repeat a definite pattern like (AB)100  when communicating and sharing information. We use the compressed information to create new information, which might be not be compressible back. Just like using alphabets a compressed data stored in our brains, used to form words, sentences and essays making it impossible to compress it back. So can say information is randomness, which is ever increasing in the universe and is not compressible.

These ever increasing nature of information reminds something core to universe. Yes Entropy! Very simply disorder is increasing. Imagine a piece of coal and compare to (A to Z)100 the chemical  energy of coal gets liberated to heat light etc. (A to Z ) 100  changing to meaningful words. Just as meaningful words are useful to us, heat and light energy from coal is useful to us. But yes we can term the meaningful words a disorder and randomness in the original state that is the alphabets and similarly to heat and light energy liberated by chemical energy in coal. This is something very fundamental to the universe, 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, “The second law of thermodynamics states that the total entropy of an isolated system can never decrease over time, and is constant if and only if all processes are reversible” and it holds true of information. If information can be opened and compressed, back it does not adds or loses anything and if it is not compressible then the information just keeps adding up. Information is an interesting analogy to understand entropy.

We have many theories explaining our universe none can be claimed that as a final or ultimate theory. Two theories that are in discussion are the big bang and the big crunch theory. The universe was born from a singularity and it will collapse again to a singularity and then we will have a new  big bang and again a new beginning of universe, the day of big crunch (if this is correct) will happen as my belief says when entropy cannot be increases any more.

The Bhawgad Gita hints so. The Supreme God, Krishna said he created this whole universe from a singularity, and one day it will end, annihilated by the lord himself, he will destroy all bits of information and again then again a universe will be formed. And this cycle will repeat after a definite interval of time again and again. And these are not just statements of the Supreme God but also has the numeric data of time which might come out to be true!

I believe Science and Religion must not fight against each other. Both have lots of information to share and can help in advancement of each other. Religion has lot to change, the misinformation it has acquire, and adapt it with modern world and Science has lots of research to be done, not with objective to prove religious theories but to understand and take help of the ancient rich sources to know the world more efficiently.

Bengal: Is TMC disrespecting people’s mandate?

“We will bring the politics of change, not vengeance” – said Mamata Banerjee before assuming power in 2011. Maybe her “politics of change” included dragging her opponent party member by using cable wires to make a noose around his neck and then beat him to death. This was the fate of a 35 year old BJP worker named Abhijit Banerjee. I call this “politics of change” because Mamata Banerjee had already rejected vengeance.

Political Violence has it’s roots in Bengal since the despotic communist regime. After 2011 people of Bengal desperately wanted a change and that change came through Trinamool Congress. But it soon became what it fought against. The panchayat election in 2003 gained infamy for the death toll under the communist regime while the 2018 poll set a record in the number of seat won without a contest. As Shri Ramakrishna taught us: A tree laden with fruits, will bend more. But it seems that the TMC has misread the electoral mandate given by the people. In a healthy democracy the voice of the critics can be won by the work you do for your state and not by choking the same voice to death.

But the TMC workers has started ransom looting of shops, killing opposition party workers and also giving rape threat to women as reported by the chairman of the Women’s right body, Rekha Sharma. People of Bengal even migrated to the nearing states of Assam owing to the violence. Previously Bengalis migrated from Bangladesh to Bengal and now they have to migrate from Bengal to the nearby state. The Great Calcutta killings of 1946 was done by fanatics which had separatist motives but after the “political change” in Bengal it is carried out by the democratically elected government. There is also a certain section which wants to imbibe that there is no political violence in Bengal after the election results were out but there can be no denial that post poll violence is happening in the state.

The Chief Minister has herself come forward appealed for peace and also announced compensation that is the biggest proof. Now as Mr. Subha Pratim Roy Chowdhury of Civil Rights Research collective group AAMRA has admitted that the ongoing pandemic has restricted the movement of fact finding teams to area affected by violence. Therefore the fact checking carried out by the administrator is a welcome move but only one side of the story. Moreover if the Trinamool Congress equates this win to the 2016 Bengal Elections then she will be gravely mistaken. During 2016 elections there was not a concrete oppsoition to tackle the current regime in Bengal. There were issues of corruption, Cut-Money but bengal lacked a solid opposition to counter the Trinamool Congress. But now the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as a strong opposition in Bengal. There is a rise of the saffron flag in Bengal and it’s role as a opposition will have to be closely monitored in the coming times.

It is high time for the Chief Minister and the member of her party to start respecting the mandate and ensure to secure for the people of Bengal– A government of laws, and not of Men.

A solution to the ongoing corona crisis by providing better information and the accessibility- Digitalization is the key

Corona crisis has put our medical health system in the middle of all that needs to be improved urgently in India. Any nation, government and society will collapse without a good medical infrastructure, hygienic city conditions, quality air and water; all are crucial for the wellbeing of every individual of any country. The second wave of covid19 has taken a big toll on our central and state governments, raising the question of our preparation for the crisis. In particular, few states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where we have seen a huge rise in the number of Covid19 cases and the associated deaths. According to media reports, these deaths are mainly attributed to the lack of beds, lack of oxygen and unavailability of medicines. According to the few state governments, there is no lack of oxygen or in covid19 associated medicines.

If so, then the problem arises from managing the supply of oxygen, beds and medicines and making it available at the right medical centres at right time, which indeed is dynamically changing in these crisis times. The one solution to the problem would come from connecting all the private medical units, government-aided medical centres, ambulance services and pharmacies with the real-time online database. This need to be done with mandatory sharing of the real-time availability of hospital beds, sale and refill of medicine stocks. Such an initiative would need the IT sector and medical industry to come together and make an efficient platform. With such a platform with the live sharing of the hospital’s beds, facilities, ambulance services and pharmacies stocks will solve problems at multiple levels. A few of the problems which can be solved by such an initiative are listed below:

1. The lack of bed in one hospital and availability in another, if it could be seen online then the patient in need could be rushed directly to the centre with available beds. This will save a lot of time and certainly many life.

2. The black marketing of the medicines like Remdesivir, Fabiflu etc. has increased in this crisis and if the government is controlling the stock distribution then it should provide real-time availability in the nearby pharmacies, visible to the hospitals and the patients as well. The digitally shared platform between the suggested units would help to curb and capturing the culprit of black marketing of the medicines in need.

3. In my experience, when a friend needed an ambulance, the ambulance services were over prices and less equipped. To facilitate easy access to these services provided by the government and private vendors, we need updated information on all the services with the facilities. Additional price capping on the vendors would help to prevent the exploitation of the individuals.

4. The supply of oxygen vs the number of patients in need at the hospitals may vary from hospital to hospital. For the same reason, we cannot blame the hospitals to be prepared and keep the stocks. However, the available stock should be publicly visible and should be the call of experts on how and when to use it. However, the digitally connected and visible platform should give the patient the freedom of choice for the best possible medical unit available for his/her need.

There are several ways in which such a digitally real-time connected database between the medical units-ambulance-pharmacies can help.

This digitalization will help our government and health industry to make the health services and its administration better, providing the citizens with better health security.

In the end, I would like to highlight that it is not only to deal with the current coronavirus crisis but to be prepared and be efficient for the future in every need of the citizens. I wish the government and the state government will overcome and win over this ongoing crisis. My best wishes to us in this fight.

In comparison to pseudos like Sayema, Puniyani & Et. al., above Abbas Tyrewala’ quote, so also Najmul Hoda later quoted in next article, while do make genuine efforts of introspection remain modest in their critic, do not adequately analyse or account for trials and tribulations faced by Non-ABCD in this real world over last 1400 years or so. For Non-pseudo Hindu too have been missing a few points to look into, to put up and protest issues, where necessary, more systematically and effectively from Hindu side.

Wisdom can be called as the lost property of the believer, the person should take it even if it is found in the mouth of a Mushrik.

At first it sounds interesting, at it’s good part is that it asks to take knowledge from non-believers too. Though part of the above quote smacks with a peculiar ABCD supremacist attitude since it is not asking ABCD to take knowledge from nonbelievers respectfully but asking to consider the same as your own lost property! The first lesson of wisdom to learn from non-ABCD, especially Hinduism, is to respect everybody.

  • Compulsive binary: Non-Image ABCD Monotheism Vs. all other forms were and are just supposed to be ideological debates, Like ‘shastrartha‘ among Indian Pundits if Abrahamics would have limited issues to ideological debates there would not have been any problem. Shastrartha after discarding one’s own shadripu is better than compulsive community Vs community binary is the best wisdom Hinduism has to offer it’s ABCD counterparts.
  • But unfortunate vocabulary of words, ‘Pagan’; ‘heathen’, ‘Fallen angel’, ‘idolator’, ‘Shaitan’ Mushrik, Kafir creates perpetual othering of us Vs them.
  • These words do not restraint debates to theological level; but convert into community Vs community; nor even limit at threshold of attempt to monopolise the truth but goes on to monopolize even victim hood on basis of thousand year old mythology and preach insult, hate, revenge, subjugation, persecution, conflict upon rejection of invitation to religion, inquisition, persecution of who so ever do not subscribe to claims of monopolies over the truth.

Misinformation to Cover up & shifting the goal post in Puniyani & Et al.’s wonderland     

Puniyani & Et al.: “…One needs to examine the trajectory of use of words Kafir and Jihad in the late twentieth century…Word Kafir which means ‘one who hides truth’ was manipulated to mean the ‘non believers’ or even those who disagree with you….”

Puniyani is just one example of today’s flawed pseudos, one (October, 2020) OpIndia article deconstructs similar deception by a new generation confused pseudo, a radio jockey, Sayema Rahman (Sept.19) with facts, about how classical ABCD theology classifies Non-ABCD as Kafir contrary to deceptions of pseudos.

Sayema says, only those who do not believe in God are Kafir. So does she support denigration and threats to atheists and apostates? and again atheists and apostates are non-ABCD or not? Puniyani is playing a little safe in his above quoted statement, look carefully & you can find contrast in position of two pseudos positioning.

Sayema’s argument comes very close to the arguments of Alice with that of Humpty.

  • Alice: Humpty is “exactly like an egg,”
  • Humpty: This is “very provoking.”
  • Alice: He looks like an egg, not that he is one.

We extend the skit:

  • ABCD Tomcat1: If Sayema Alice does Kufr she can be Kafir, Non-ABCD always do Kufr so always like Kafir
  • Common Lotus (concerned): S. Alice, Your brother is calling us, Non-ABCD, as Kafir ?
  • S. Alice: No no, he is not calling Non-ABCD as Kafir, he calling Kafir to only those Who hides the truth by not bringing Imaan (loyalty) over to ‘[*MB1?] God’ [*MB2]. [*MB1?=Muted bracket to denote words ‘the ABCD’]; I said we are not calling you an egg, but you are just like an egg! Because you hide the truth within the shell of the egg!
  • Tomcat1: S Alice, so the word in the muted bracket ‘the ABCD’ are applicable or inapplicable?
  • Atheist Humpty: S Alice, That is a good effort towards watering down but Sayema Alice you said, ‘Hiding the truth does not make an untruth, a truth’. So what is the status of those who indulge in any shirk or don’t bring ‘Imaan’ over to God (ABCD or Not)? Secondly wondering which all camps you are in, Taqiya or Zindīq or both at the same time?
  • S. Alice: Atheist Humpty & Lotus Pundit, why are you asking me this question?
  • Atheist Humpty: We are curious, Was your father a linguist to teach you to claim etymological dictionary meanings are meanings and popular slurs do not carry meanings?
  • S. Alice: We are telling just the [etymological] dictionary meaning
  • Language Pundit: Alice this is an interesting dictionary reading, ‘Dal’ means uncooked ‘dal’ but not cooked ‘dal’.
  • Lotus Pundit: Yes Alice & Puniyani this is very interesting, similarly why don’t you share true dictionary meaning of ‘Hindutva’ is just ‘Hinduness’ and it contests only bigoted parts of ABCD wherever they apply undue breaks on unbounded positivity.
  • S. Alice: There we mean political Hindutva
  • Lotus Pundit: Asking you the same, ‘political’ is the latter’s struggle to preserve cultural and religious Hinduness; cultural and religious Hinduness have a valid age old existence of itself, so why do pseudos hiding the original meaning and positive purpose of Hindutva?
  • S. Alice: ‘Hindutva’ hates ABCD
  • Lotus Pundit: Alice, this just plain lie and sheer victim blaming and condoning the real culprits who look at our Hindu freedom of conscience with contempt with slur words like Kafir, Pagan, Heathen, Mushrik. Why on earth Hindutva will hate anyone or anything at all? It is simple Hindutva believes in unbounded positivity with least breaks and contests the unreasonable breaks on unbounded positivity. If God is alone in Abrahamic theologies, why do they need to perpetuate insecurity, throw unreasonable spanners of negativity, hate and inquisition towards other kinds of religious polytheists and idolaters practices?
  • Tomcat 2 (part moderate): See S. Alice forgot to mention *MB2 = Even after receiving an invitation to join ABCD or even after knowing/studying ABCD if one does not accept ABCD religion then only s/he would be called Kafir.
  • Lotus Pundit: So you mean to say every Non-ABCD who took information/ studied ABCD including Non-ABCD scholars of ABCD and every one who has been invited to the religion ABCD but did not join stands to become Kafir at the minimum level, is that right?
  • Tomcat3 (another part moderate): So it applies to those ABCDs who do not send information/ invitation to Non-ABCD because they are the ones hiding the truth.
  • Lotus Pundit: Unfortunately Tomcat3’s goal post move does not take into account ABCD theology’s approval of opening an ABCD offensive against non-ABCD who did not accept ABCD invitation. So Tomcat3 is ending up helping orthodox in their own community rather than the moderate.
  • Z. Noik: What is the problem in calling Non-ABCD as Kafir. Why word Kafir can not be used as synonym of Non-ABCD
  • Lotus Pundit: First of all word Kafir is presumptuous and judgemental
  • Lotus Pundit : Second, Clear meaning of the intentionally abusive and hateful word ‘Kafir’ is ‘the liar’.
  • Lotus Pundit: Third, Words get meanings by usage and intention of usage. Some new poetic usage seen is ‘Kafir ke Pyar me Kafir Ho gaye’ (‘became Kafir in love of a Kafir’) here though negative meaning of ‘Kafir’ is being retained, status of being Kafir is being appreciated; since intention is not to insult or hate so less of a concern exceptional being use. But referring to this usage in slur related debate amounts to shifting of the goal post.
  • Lotus Pundit: Fourth, main issue comes when a word is being loaded with othering, hate and insult to the least; supremacism, threat and violence to the worst side and word Kafir traditionally has been used as a hate slur throughout history.
  • Z. Noik: But the ABCD text does not recommend violence against Kafir in non conflict situation and no conflicts until peace contracts are breached
  • Lotus Pundit: Filters to avoid conflicts are too weak in case of ABCD. Declaration of contract not meeting the ABCD text requirements is too easy for any individual. If ABCD had always played defensive in conflicts sans any offensive they would not have been beyond one Arabic town. Any simple conflict between two ABCD and Non-ABCD individuals or between groups too is automatically translated in the unhealthy Non Kafir Vs Kafir binary created by ABCD. And once a conflict begins all is fair and free for ABCD. (We have discussed this point further after Lala Lajpat Rai quote in next article of this series)
  • Tomcat1: We are very peaceful, we don’t always break the shells if they accept the truth by committing Imaan (loyalty) over to ‘[ABCD] God’, the founders of ABCD faith and principles there in, or else at times, oh ya, not always but just at times, we need to break shells to make the eggs understand our [the ABCD] kind of truth!
  • S. Alice and pseudos in chorus: Yes very much breaking of shells is just at times, not at all always, others too keep breaking egg shells. What’s wrong if ABCD too breaks some egg shells? Don’t be ABCD-phobic, they break just shells, ABCD handles content inside eggs tactfully only to emancipate (read exploit) further!
  • Z. Noik: What is the problem in having a religious binary ? ABCD are ABCD and Non-ABCD are non ABCD
  • Lotus Pundit: ABCD’ binary claims monopoly over truth from ABCD side, Binary converts ideological battle to human Vs Human, community Vs. community battle hence the ‘non-Kafir Vs. Kafir’ binary is communal. ABCD gets compulsively habitual to view most things most times through binary and . ii) The binary brainwashes ABCD to view non-ABCD as lesser beings and asks not to be befriend with Kafirs, treat Kafirs like enemies, for always, that is very communal.

Logical fallacies in pseudos’ wonderlands

As earlier said, in his quote Puniyani & Et al. is deflecting to cover up untruth, here Puniyani is employing the etymological fallacy for ‘definitional retreat‘ by referring to different meanings. Anywhere in the world etymology does not necessarily equals ≠ to later different full usage and all meanings of a word. ‘The person Puniyani’ or ‘Puniyani & Et al. ‘would not mean ≠ “Etymology of  ‘Puniyani’ “. Usages which develop after etymology usages remain valid. ABCD apologists deploy the following 3 kinds of logical fallacies one after the other to deflect by moving the goalposts.

i) If (K=SM+NM+OM)* is not supposed to mean K=SM or K=OM only. One can not say since SM or OM is K so NM is not included in K; attempting to say so is deflecting, goal post shifting.

  • * (K=SM+NM+OM), Here K = Kafir, SM = Muslims who indulged in shirk or kufr; NM=NonMuslims ; OM = some other meanings

The fallacy lies in concluding that one disjunct (NM) must be false because the other disjunct (SM & OM) are true. In this case fact is all three of the disjuncts are true ii) Have you heard of the Motte-and-bailey fallacy? here it will make an interesting read. iii) If the first two are exposed, the use Whataboutery is too frequent.

May be ‘pseudo Et al.’s intentions of white washing and window dressing in hope of goal post shifting may have positive aspects that present narratives in the form of a positive story so the new reader will behave anyway positively. Providing positive narratives no doubt a great idea sans intellectual honesty which denies holocaust of Non-ABCD, does not stand scrutiny when some other well read comes to question the denial. Such deceptive stances lose credibility as noted in detail in the next article in this series.

Implement CAA: Reliable option for security of persecuted minorities in neighborhood countries

Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA)2019 India is the bill that allows persecuted minorities of the neighborhood countries of India which is Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh to give special time limits and facilities for taking citizenship of Bharat(India).

If Indian neighborhood countries can’t support their minorities then it’s a bound responsibility of Bharat to give them citizenship asylum

Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 bill was passed with a majority in Loksabha and Rajyasabha on 12 December 2019. It is the bill that gives hope to persecuted minorities of neighborhood countries of Bharat (India) to become legal citizens of India, as per the citizenship act,1955. From so many years it had been heard and seen many brutal stories of Indian neighborhood countries (Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh) which they did with their minorities i.e. Hindu, Sikh, Budh, Parsi, and Jain. India is the country that welcomes each ideology people with their open hands and allows them to stay in India.

With this kind of gesture, the Indian government takes a strong stand for those persecuted Minorities who are living in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. Indian government gives special relief to the neighborhood countries, persecuted Minorites by stating them that Provided that any person belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi or Christian community from Afghanistan, Bangladesh or Pakistan, who entered into India on or before the 31st day of December 2014.” It also states that “‘Provided that for the person belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi or Christian community in Afghanistan, Bangladesh or Pakistan, the aggregate period of residence or service of Government in India as required under this clause shall be read as “not less than five years” in place of “not less than eleven years”

For taking citizenship of India there are following methods which are as follows :

2.Citizenship By Descent

3.Citizenship By registration

4.Citizenship By Naturalisation

Now, why Bharat (India) need to amend their citizenship law. As per the minority rights international, the minority in Afghanistan in 2016 is 900 which is significantly dropped due to immigration. Why this immigration is held the report says “due to regular attacks on minority homes, women’s have been raped and molested, forceful conversion led this migration. In the 1970s 70,000 Hindus and Sikhs were there, In the 1980s there was a sharp decline of 2000 – 3000  Hindu and Sikh population when Mujahidin came in power. Currently, the population of Hindu And Sikhs is 1350. The situation of the very next neighborhood i.e. Pakistan is awful. Soon after the independence, the population of minorities in Pakistan was 23% of the majority population but today it is 3-4% of the total population.Here the situation is the same as in Afghanistan where people need to flee from their homes to protect their families from Islamic Radicalization. Girls and women have been abducted from their homes and get forcefully converted. Nobody, even the lawmakers are helpless to control these outbreaks of violence.

Next, neighborhoods have a strong connection to India not only for culture sharing but also in terms of history. Bangladesh (East Pakistan) has the same situation as Pakistan where minority populations have a slow and significant decline after 1940 which is 28% to 8.96% in 2011. Several bloody riots go on, Noakhali the 1974 Bangladesh war shows the serious, horrible, and heinous crime on minorities especially on Hindus. “Professor Abul Barakat of Dhaka University in his recently published book, The Political Economy of Reforming Agriculture: Land Water Bodies in Bangladesh, writes that “there will be no Hindus left within Bangladesh within 30 years…The rate of the exodus over the past 49 years points to that direction.” As per his research, around 11.3 million Hindus were compelled to flee Bangladesh due to religious persecution from 1964 to 2013”.  Now the question arises where these persecutes minorities go.

This historic and fruitful decision by the government of India gives a ray of hope to those persecuted minorities of neighborhood countries i.e. Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan who lost their beloved in this Islamic radicalization. But, there has been a high dissatisfaction in Indian Muslims that why they don’t include the neighborhood Muslims. There have been rumors in Indian Muslims that their citizenship will be canceled. From Prime Minister to Home minister everyone gives their statement that Indian muslims don’t need to be afraid of this bill. Indian Muslims have nothing to do with this bill. But it seems like they have been brainwashed or there may be illegal immigrants in the face of Indian nationality who did the horrible and heinous riots. If we look into in-depth detail there has been a connection that these riots have excessively taken in those areas most where former Home union minster indicates about illegal immigration.

Citizenship Amendment Act is the only way to protect persecuted minorities. Their nightmares should be turned into good dreams of the future. The illegal activities against them which are done in neighborhood countries can’t be changed. But their future should be bright. We cannot give their loved ones back into their life. But of course, we can protect their present and future goals from this persecution that they had suffered for decades in neighborhood countries.

The return of political heroes

If you have read undiluted Indian history, both ancient & modern, you will agree with me that as a nation we always had a culture of following our political heroes, religious gurus and kings. Be it Chatrapati Shivaji or Rani Lakshmi Bai or Guru Gobind Sngh or Swami Vivekananda or Rana Pratap or Gandhi or Netaji or Sardar Patel or say B.R .Ambedkar, you name it. Whether it is folk tales or story books or school books when we read or heard about Indian heroes those names always popped up. As an 80s kid I remembered reading more about Mughals, British and Gandhi in my school books than the people I mentioned above, 30 years after I look back at those history books and nod my head in silence. There are some stark differences between western thoughts and Indian thoughts, where western thoughts gave rise to BIG LIE which states,

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

However our Indian thoughts state the opposite, “Satya Mev Jayate ” (Truth alone triumphs). It is a known fact that Indian National Congress draws it’s inspiration and ideology from British and west. Everyone knows that the concept of Congress is alien to India and the role played by Allan Octavian Hume in establishing INC. It is but obvious that the game of repeating a lie thousand times and catch them young was played by Congress in India for so many years and in so many generations. This game and it’s impact is very strong I must admit, so strong that an entire generation passed by thinking it was Mahatma Gandhi who drove British away when the truth was far far away from that. Truth did triumph at the end though. With advent of Globalization, technology and internet, dependency on only some chosen authors or news anchor or politicians or our own parents for any information was gone. My generation for example typically known as generation X in western world discovered the real Indian history post schools and college. Our Millennial generation is learning the undiluted history right from school days with tab and mobile in their hands where fact checks and counter views are just a touch away.

No nation can morally rise to power without deep sense of cultural and identity pride. India was not born in 1947, Bharat existed since 5000+ years. The more further we move away from 1947 into the BC era the more confident, proud and self realized we become. The golden era of India was when we idolized the virtuous real life heroes in society, our role models were living examples of high morality, values, supreme courage and those who lead lives with principles and discipline thereby inspiring millions. Our country has been relentlessly under attack, loot and ransack for thousand years, first by the barbaric Islamic forces and then by imperialistic British forces. Our national heroes kept on fighting, first with sword than with several Gandhian movements, strikes, rebellion and finally gun. We had to give so much of blood for our freedom from all alien forces.

On one side there was stalwarts like Gandhi, on the other side there was Netaji, some people followed Nehru and some others followed Veer Savarkar, Some followed Ali brothers while others followed Jinnah, from Sardar Patel to Gokhale to Dayanand Sarasvati to Ambedkar there was no room left for any other heroes in society. However I feel post achieving our independence and specially after 1960s our goal did not shift from movements, opposing and inner fights to development. If we leave few years of Indira Gandhi during 1971 war & few years of Vajpayee government during Nuclear testing and Kargil war, our nation never had the good fortune to see too many political heroes. Corruption, crime, terrorist attacks, appeasement politics, caste politics, lack of inspiring courageous leadership pushed India in a hopeless state of mind. Such was the state of mind that Indians started believing that politicians will have criminal records, politicians will steal public money, Police will take bribe, there will be frequent terrorist attacks, scams will happen now & then, these things became business as usual for Indians.

However as human species we are always on the look out for truth, morality, ethics, discipline, courage – we like these qualities subconsciously. So we started worshipping a new breed of heroes, the reel life heroes. Our definition of heroes changed to Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmender, Shami kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Manoj Kumar, Madhuri dixit, The khan trio and so on. Lack of real life heroes made these reel life heroes larger than life. The only flavors of nationalism and pride vested with some cricket wins, patriotic movies and army stories. The sense of unity under one flag was seldom felt otherwise. An entire generation of Indians grew up idolizing heroes whose personal lives were very different than reel lives, the concept of building an image emerged. The void created by lack of real heroes in society was getting filled by people portraying morality and courage on screen only. As a society Indians between 1980 and 2014 became more and more confident that nothing good can happen to India so enjoy your own lives, look after your own interest, indulge in pleasure and earn money by hook or crook since morality and ethics are not coming back to society and that it is confined in soaps and movies only. That to me was one of the biggest contribution of congress, they successfully made a proud selfless country hopeless, demotivated and selfish.

Something changed in 2014. As the Modi wave took the entire nation by storm, there was a small ray of hope. Although the election campaign song “Acche din aaney waley hain” sounded like a one more promise like many politicians did before however the hope was that Modi was not seen as a leader who talks the right things only, he walked the talk in Gujarat. A big sleeping nation addicted to movies and cricket, alcohol and drugs, corruption and scams, obsessed with western culture needed a big jolt to wake up. The jolt came by demonetization, first time we saw in years how an ever complaining Indian stood hours in queues and still supporting the man who made them do it. People felt they are doing something which will eventually do good to the nation. Post that jolt one by one via GST, Surgical strike, IT reforms, Triple Talaq bill, CAA, Article 370, Balakot Air strike, Education policy reforms, Farm Bill, Assam NRC, Ayodhya Ram Mandir, ISRO success, Diplomatic success, Galwan valley, Digital India, Make In India, Swachh bharat, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan mantri Awas Yojna and so on, the shockwaves kept coming and still continuing in covid time with India manufacturing the Vaccines and helping billions around the world, with India in no time becoming the largest PPE kit manufacturer.

130 crore Indians could see one man in his late sixties working for 18 hrs without leaves (even if 18 hrs is a propaganda but even 14+ hours per day is not less inspiring), we saw how one man tried to speak in all regional languages across India just to bind everyone in one composite Indian culture by respecting diversity and trying to emotionally connect to people. Inspiration started kicking in, respect and trust started coming back to politics. On one hand Prime Minister Modi was setting up India’s next mission of achieving 5 trillion dollar economy and on the other hand his protégé Home minister Amit Shah was administering home affairs with firm hands. Not only leadership was being displayed at center but as a hallmark of a great leader Modi was able to bring up more and more leaders who can carry his vision forward with or without him. The rise of the likes of Yogi Aditya Nath in UP, Hemanta Biswas Sarma in Assam and Piyush Goyal (Minister of Railways, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution) showed the shift in Indian politics from bootlicking to performance driven approach.

It’s been 7 years of Modi government and it’s also been 7 years of corruption free India at least at a government level. The stagnant Indian political field has suddenly become dynamic. Every day citizens and netizens of this country are waiting for Modi’s next move or Rahul Gandhi’s next statement or what is KCR doing to Kejriwal’s new promise or Yogi’s crackdown on terror. As a generation, we are now getting more adrenaline rush from political updates rather than which movie is coming out or what is the latest fashion in B town. Even the movie industry have felt this jolt, so we see more movies coming out of Indian Army, our Indian rebels and freedom fighters. I am not against movie industry per se however my point is that Modi has successfully drawn a bigger line beside it and our nation has once again started following the right heroes who are in service of the nation. Politics is now more entertaining than soaps and movies.

Simultaneously advent of social media platforms like Facebook, twitter took this Indian political renaissance to a whole new level. People were found to be more engaged in latest tweets and updates of political leaders than soaps and movies. Video platforms gave rise to another breed called the youtubers and smartphone gave rise to the concept of citizen journalist. No more were the Lutyens Delhi and left leaning media group’s opinions, facts and news got a clean chit. For every fake news they was an expose, for every propaganda there was a reverse propaganda, things were not one way like before. Added to that was the emergence of journalist like Arnab Goswami who decided to look at journalism from a different angle ala Apple and steve jobs.

Steve jobs first understood the customer requirements and then made his product. Arnab delivers his news for his loyal audience and both his audience and him are tied by the same thread of nationalistic pride. Previously only men in house used to watch news and women watched soaps, not that women didn’t like information, they found it boring. Arnab made news entertaining and it turned out to be a game changer. You can talk about journalistic ethics however true ethics begins with truth and not fake news, the presentation style is secondary. Added to these was the impact of SSR death case and covid situation, the demi gods of Bollywood fell from their role model chairs which were made from engineered wood anyways. From a small ray of hope Narendra Modi has emerged as India’s beacon of hope and a strong world leader. The Chowkidar has done his job on putting this huge rusted mammoth named Bharat back on track.

Today my country has once again started following political personnel, Spiritual Gurus like Sadhguru and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, we started crying for our jawans, we started talking more about our duties than rights. Whether you are with Modi or against him you got to agree that he has awaken a sleeping nation and on a lighter note also made a lot of Indians read our constitution first time post CAA bill. So India has waken up & we have started running again and only one statement is reverberating within me again and again today,

दृढ़ संकल्प, सजगता, धैर्य व सामूहिक प्रयासों से कोरोना संकट पर निश्चित ही विजय प्राप्त होगी– डॉ. मोहन भागवत

नई दिल्ली. राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक डॉ. मोहन जी भागवत ने कहा कि दृढ़ संकल्प, सतत प्रयास व धैर्य के साथ भारतीय समाज कोरोना पर निश्चित ही विजय प्राप्त करेगा. यह समय गुण-दोषों के बारे में चर्चा करने का नहीं है, बल्कि इस समय समाज के सभी वर्गों को एक साथ मिलकर सामूहिक प्रयास करने होंगे ताकि इस संकट से हम पार पा सकें.

सरसंघचालक ‘हम जीतेंगे— पाज़िटीविटी अनलिमिटेड’ व्याख्यानमाला के पांचवें व अंतिम दिन संबोधित कर रहे थे. उन्होंने कहा कि सब लोग परस्पर एक टीम बन कर काम करेंगे तो सामूहिकता के बल पर हम अपनी और समाज की गति बढ़ा सकते हैं. इस समय अपने सारे मतभेद भुलाकर हमें एक साथ मिलकर काम करना होगा.

उन्होंने कहा कि पहली ल​हर के बाद हम गफलत में आ गए और अब तीसरी लहर आने की बात हो रही है. इससे अर्थव्यवस्था, रोजगार, शिक्षा आदि पर गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा है. आने वाले दिनों में अर्थव्यवस्था पर और असर पड़ सकता है, इसलिए इसकी तैयारी हमें अभी से करनी होगी. भविष्य की इन चुनौतियों की चर्चा से घबराना नहीं है, बल्कि ये चर्चा इसलिए जरूरी है ताकि हम आने वाली चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए समय रहते तैयारी कर सकें.

उन्होंने कहा कि स्वयं को सजग, सक्रिय व स्वस्थ रखते हुए धैर्य व अनुशासन के साथ हमें सेवा कार्यों में जुटना चाहिए. कोरोना के रोगियों को अस्पतालों में बिस्तर,ऑक्सीजन आदि उपलब्ध हों, इसके प्रयास करने चाहिए. सेवा कार्यों में लगे संगठनों को सहयोग करना चाहिए.अपने आस-पास के उन परिवारों की चिंता करनी चाहिए जिन पर आर्थिक संकट है. घर पर खाली न बैठें, कुछ नया सीखें, परिवारों में संवाद बढ़ाएं.

सरसंघचालक ने कहा कि यश-अपयश को पचा कर लगातार आगे बढ़ने की हिम्मत रखनी होगी. भारत एक प्राचीन राष्ट्र है तथा इस पर पूर्व में कई विपत्तियां आईं. लेकिन हर बार हमने उन पर विजय प्राप्त की है, इस बार भी हम विजय प्राप्त करेंगे. इसके लिए हमें अपने शरीर से कोरोना को बाहर रखना है तथा मन को सकारात्मक रखना है. इन कठिन परिस्थितियों में निराशा की नहीं, बल्कि इससे लड़कर जीतने का संकल्प लेने की जरूरत है. उन्होंने कहा, ऐसी बाधाओं को लांघ कर मानवता पहले भी आगे बढ़ी है और अब भी आगे बढ़ती रहेगी.

‘कोविड रिस्पॉन्स टीम’ द्वारा आयोजित व्याख्यानमाला का 11 मई से 15 मई तक प्रतिदिन सायं 4:30 बजे किया गया. व्याख्यानमाला का उद्देश्य कोरोना संकट का सामना करने के लिए समाज में एक सकारात्मक वातावरण तैयार करने में सहयोग करना था.

अंधभक्त- समर्थको का उपनाम

हिन्दू धर्म की एक खासियत है। हम हिन्दू पत्थर, नदी, जानवर, इंसान सब में अपना भगवान् ढूंढ लेते है। जिसकी भी पूजा करते है पूरी निष्ठां के साथ करते है। पर इस निष्ठा की आड़ में किसी दूसरे कि मान्यता का मजाक नही बनाते है। अगर आप कश्मीर से कन्याकुमारी तक नज़र डाले तो पायंगे कश्मीर स्थित अमरनाथ जी (शिव जी) से ले कर तमिलनाडु स्थित रामेश्वरम (राम जी) तक कई देवताओ के अपने अपने स्थान पर अतिविशेष महत्व है। महाराष्ट्र में अगर गणेश जी महाराज की अनन्य भक्ति है तो बंगाल में माँ दुर्गा का विशेष स्थान है। ये विशेष महत्व क्यों है? क्या ईश्वर ने हम से ऐसा कहा है की अगर उनकी भक्ति नहीं की गयी तो वो हमें नुकसान पहुचायेंगे। ऐसा नहीं है बल्कि आस्था विश्वास से जुडी है। और विश्वास अनुभवों के आधार पर बनता है। अनुभव अपेक्षित परिणामो की प्राप्ति से प्रगाढ़ होता है।

नरेंद्र दामोदर दास मोदी गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री थे। तब उनके बारे में यदा कदा अखबारों में या टेलीविज़न पर सुन या पढ़ लिया करता था। प्रारंभिक कुछ वर्षों के मुख्यमंत्री काल में ही उन्होंने एक अच्छे प्रशासक की छवि अर्जित कर ली थी। गुजरात कई मामलों में आत्मनिर्भर हो चला था। फिर समय का चक्र घुमा और नरेंद्र मोदी देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने। एक प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में सम्पूर्ण देश ने उनके कार्य पद्धति का अनुभव किया। देश का एक बहुत बड़ा वर्ग उनका प्रशंसक बनता चला गया। मोदी जी की मजबूती ने विपक्ष का मनोबल बहुत बुरी तरह से तोडा। मोदी की लोकप्रियता ने वंशवादी राजनीती के वंशजो के सपनो को रौंद दिया।

आज नित्य नए मुद्दे सोशल मीडिया पर उठाये या यूँ कहे गढे जाते है। उनका मकसद सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति को निशाने पर लेना होता है और वो है नरेंद्र मोदी। सोशल मीडिया पर तर्क वितर्क भी बहुत होते है। मोदी समर्थको को एक टैग तत्काल दे दिया जाता है की वो “अंधभक्त” हैं। किसी मोदी विरोधी के पास एक या दो बार से ज्यादा देने को तर्क नहीं होता। चाहे मुद्दा कोई भी हो। जब कुछ समझाने को नहीं रह जाता तो बोल दिया जाता है तुम अंधभक्त हो। आम जनता की क्या कहे बड़े बड़े पत्रकार खुलेआम मोदी विरोधी अभियान चला रहे है। बहुत से चेहरे तो अब खुल कर सामने आ चुके है। लोकतंत्र में चुनी सरकार से सवाल पूछना कभी गलत नहीं होता। वो हर नागरिक का हक़ है परन्तु सवाल के नाम पर गालिया देना या प्रधानमंत्री पद की गरिमा को गिराने का प्रयास करना बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जा सकता।

अभी कुछ दिन पहले देश के पूर्व गृह मंत्री ने देशवासियो को सड़क पर उतर कर गृहयुद्ध करने ले लिए उसकाने का प्रयास किया। एक वर्तमान मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रधानमंत्री के साथ अपने संवाद को बहुत निम्न रूप में प्रस्तुत किया। वो शायद यह भूल गए आज का प्रधानमंत्री कभी गुजरात का मुख्यमंत्री था। किस तरह से केंद्र की UPA सरकार उनको घेरने और बेइज़्ज़त करने का प्रयास करती थी। पर उन्होंने हमेशा अपनी तैयारी मजबूत रखी। कभी ओछी राजनीती नहीं की।

आज जब एक व्यवस्थित तरीके से राजनीति, मीडिया, वामपंथी विचारधारा के बुद्धिजीवी एकत्रित हो कर मोदी जी पर निजी हमले कर रहे है तो मोदी समर्थक क्यों पीछे रहे। विरोधी भक्त बुलाये या अंधभक्त इस से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता। आप तर्कों की बात करे। आकड़ो की बात करें। एक सार्थक बहस होगी। सरकार तो जानता की है। मोदी सरकार संभवतः देश की पहली ऐसी सरकार है जो सार्थक सुझावों को तत्काल अमल में लाती है। अपने बजट के प्रावधानों को भी तत्काल बदल देती है। पिछले ६ वर्षो में न जाने कितने ऐसे नागरिको को राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार दिए गए जिन्हे कोई जानता भी नहीं था। मोदी जी की लोकप्रियता का एक बहुत बड़ा कारण यह भी है की लोग उनसे और वो लोगो से एक बेहतरीन संपर्क स्थापित कर लेते है।

विपक्षी दल और उनके समर्थको को कार्यकुशलता का मुकाबला कार्यकुशलता के साथ ही देना चाहिए। राष्ट्रिय स्तर पर किसी भी विपक्षी नेता की कोई विश्वसनीयता नहीं है। जो प्रादेशिक स्तर पर सफल है वो राष्ट्रिय स्तर पर असरहीन है। विपक्ष को अपनी कमजोरियों पर काम करना चाहिए। मोदी समर्थको को गालिया दे कर कुछ हासिल नहीं होगा। क्यूंकि चुनाव जमीन पर लड़े जाते है ट्विटर या फेसबुक पर नहीं।

खुद को स्थापित करो भक्त अपने आप आ जायेंगे।

जाति, राज्य, भाषा मे खुद को बांधता हिन्दू ,

कौन बचा कैसे है चचा,

निर्पेक्षता का एकतरफा दिखावा करता हिन्दू ,

ब्रिटिश चाल-चलन में आज भी जीता हिन्दू ,

सच कह दो तो कट्टर कहता हिन्दू ,

आपसी भाई चारे की शान में ,

यमुना को मुगलिया बताकर गंगा -जमुना तहज़ीब समझाता हिन्दू ,

मुस्लिम ईसाई सबसे तुमने है मरवाई-ना मानकर ,

21 सदी का सौदागर बनना चाहता हिन्दू ,

सरकारों की नीतियों में चाणक्य को ढूढ़ता हिन्दू ,

हिन्दू राष्ट्र की कल्पना में , वर्तमान में स्वाभिमान बेचता जाता हिन्दू ,

कैरियर , परिवार जीवन मे ,कर्तव्य-कर्म से भागता हिन्दू ,

Entry Of Black Fungus in Dehradun Uttrakhand

Case of Black Fungus Infection reported from Dehradun Max Hospital,  following which the doctors removed an eye of the patient. The patient had recovered from Covid in late April. According to the hospital authorities, they had received similar cases of post-Covid black fungus infection, or mucormycosis, in January and February as well, and in both the cases patients were treated and discharged.

What is Black Fungus?

The disease progresses rapidly and “attacks blood vessels and live tissues, “As it kills them, it turns them all black — and that’s where [the disease] gets the name ‘black fungus.’ ” In just three days, it can spread to the eyes or the jawbone. In such cases, the only way to stop the spread to the brain is to remove the infected eye or jawbone surgically.

“Once it spreads to the brain, the fatality rate is over 50%. It’s sad to think that people who’ve gone through the immense distress of COVID now have to deal with this severe disability as well.
