How to call opposition parties’ bluff on manipulation of EVM

0

Rattled by the results of exit polls (that Modi is a clear winner in 2019 general election), the opposition parties have intensified their attack on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). In the past, more than once the Election Commission (EC) has tried to prove that EVMs cannot be manipulated. More than 2 years ago, the EC released data to prove that in the constituencies where voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines were used, the number of votes polled by each candidate counted by EVMs tallied with the number of paper trails counted. As promised by the EC at that time, in 2019 general election only VVPAT machines were used.

Before the election, the opposition parties had demanded that 50% of votes polled in each constituency should be tallied with VVPAT slips. After consulting the EC, on April 8, 2019 the Supreme Court ordered that VVPAT slips of randomly selected 5 EVMs in each constituency would be counted. The court said that this would ensure the “greatest degree of accuracy, satisfaction” in the election process.

Despite, sufficient proof given by the EC 2 years ago and the Supreme Court order of April 8 to remove any doubt, the opposition parties have decided to keep the controversy alive. We all know that this is nothing but a face-saving programme.

They will be able to keep the controversy alive also because of opinions of some ‘experts’ who claim that technologies are available to manipulate EVMs: chips can be inserted to transfer votes to the desired candidate; EVMs can be pre-programmed to get the desired candidate elected; even after voting is over, old data can be deleted and desired data fed.

Even 9th class fail Tejashwi Yadav has become an expert and says that EVMs can be manipulated.

My suggestion is that to end the controversy once for all, the EC should take a tough stand. Instead of trying to prove that EVMs cannot be manipulated, the EC should put the burden of proof that EVMs can be manipulated on the challengers. The issue should ask all the challengers to provide information under the 5 heads mentioned below.

(1) Technologies available for different types of voting machines (specifying whether the particular technology is for stand-alone machines as used in India or for inter-connected, through wire or internet, machines or for both); name of the inventor and period of invention; claims made by the inventor with proof; the scale on which each technology has been used; technology which has been used in India to influence election results so far.

(2) Readiness of a technology or technologies for mass application i.e. in several constituencies at the same time to influence results.

(3) Accessibility to EVMs (always kept under safe custody) for manipulation i.e. methods manipulators can use for access to tamper with machines.

(4) Time, and resources (number of expert operators, cost, logistics, etc.) required for manipulation of EVMs to influence results of election of one constituency.

(5) Risks and uncertainties i.e. chances of detection of manipulation during demonstration before polling starts or during or after voting and chances of failure of the technology during its application.

I am sure challenger would be able to provide any plausible information

Only such a strategy can silence the challengers.

Modi is coming back, and the week ahead is not going to be nice

0

It has seemed like an eternity, but May 23 is finally here. Almost.

One of the most bitter election campaigns in recent memory will now see a closure with the results of the largest democratic election in the world set to be declared in a day. For starters, it is now clear to everybody following Indian politics, on either side of the political spectrum, that Aaayega toh Modi hiYes, there are still people hoping for an alternative result, but incidentally, these are the same set of people who were blind to the Modi wave in 2014. How big a mandate this will be is up for debate. Almost all the exit polls released show the NDA set to form the government easily, with some of them giving an absolute majority to the BJP by itself.

The state of the opposition

  • The Indian National Congress (INC)

Not a single exit poll has the INC touching even 125 seats, a reflection of where the Grand Old Party stands today. The much touted Nyay scheme, which in hindsight was probably brought out too late in the campaign, has not been able to capture the imagination of the electorate in their intended catchments as the party expected it to. A long series of gaffes, from the usual suspects (Mani Shankar Aiyar) to some new entrants (Sam Pitroda, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Omar Abdullah), along with a virtually non-existent cadre when compared to the foot strength of the BJP, has resulted in the INC lagging behind at a distant number two.

The one area where the Modi government was vulnerable, and the opposition should have pressed hard was the economy, with rural farm distress and unemployment having had the potential to have brought the government to its knees. However, whether by accident or by pure incompetence, the INC president Rahul Gandhi decided that the stigma of corruption was what was going to bring Modi down, which was a blunder in strategy from day one. In Modi’s 12 years of administering the state of Gujarat, the charge of corruption was not thrown at him once in all those years, and suddenly calling the most popular politician in the country Chor without any shred of evidence and foresight turned out to be the weakest opposition campaign in years.

One place where the Congress straightaway began on a back foot was a popularity contest between its Party President and the BJP’s lead star. The obvious way to go would have been to play the election as multiple state-wise smaller contests, by emphasizing different leaders within the party as effective micro level alternatives to the BJP’s over dependence on Modi. However, no such leader within the party was either brought forward, or allowed to take center stage, with the party deciding to even making a last-ditch resort towards the much hyped entry of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has not seemed to make any tangible difference in the race.

  • The Rest of the Anti-Modi forces:

This was a bunch of parties without any ideological similarity, that were simply opposed to the idea of Modi returning as the Prime Minister. This was seen in the way how traditional rivals came together: the SP and BSP in Uttar Pradesh, the INC and the JD(S) in Karnataka, the PDP and the NC in Jammu & Kashmir, and the AAP and INC in New Delhi (well, almost. It’s not like Kejriwal didn’t try). Such a rag-tag group of individuals simply could not expect to go farther than hoping for the BJP to get below 250 and just repeating the one thing they had come together for – Remove Modi. Beyond this, none of them, including the INC, had any clear viable message to offer to the voter. Their entire campaign strategy was a negative one – towards defeating one man, and that wouldn’t have been a bad way to go; provided the man they were up against was a weak, unpopular candidate. But the one thing nobody can deny, irrespective of the extent of BJP’s lead, is that Narendra Modi is still, hands down the most popular Indian politician in the country.

Predictions for the Big Day

While it has been clear for quite some time that the BJP is set to be the single largest party, the big question was, whether they would get to the magic number of 272 on their own. The BJP managed to score 282 seats as a result of the Modi wave in 2014. It now seems that, contrary to the perceptions of this being a waveless election, the Modi wave has in fact grown more. The various social welfare schemes rolled out successfully, such as the Mudra loans, Ujjawala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat on a micro level, have made a huge impact in many parts of Rural India. Women can be considered as Modi’s biggest votebank, something the above schemes have further reinforced. The air strikes in Balakot have enhanced Modi’s talking point that the BJP government is the best suited for National Security. After a relatively decent five years at the helm, without any blemish of corruption proven, and inflation not being an election issue, a Modi vs All contest at this point really only had one winner at the end of the day.

Hence, it would not come as a surprise if the BJP actually increases its seat tally from 2014. The only potential for a major loss of seats would be from the state of UP, where it remains to be seen if the alliance arithmetic of the Mahagathbandhan manages to trounce the BJP. Still, a worst case scenario for the BJP would involve at least 50 seats from UP being lost from 2014. However, these 50 would, in all probabilities, be offset by the gains made from West Bengal, Odisha and the North-Eastern states, with significant inroads being made there in the last couple of years. South India too, offers good news for the NDA. Beginning with Tamil Nadu, where contrary to most polls, the NDA looks set to get at least 10-15 MPs, owing to poor leadership at the DMK along with some questionable alliance decisions. Karnataka seems set to marginally increase the number of BJP MPs elected, with the groundswell of support for Modi only increasing.

The party also seems set to open its account in Kerala for the first time ever, with the two seats of Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta appearing the most likely ones. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where the BJP is not actually expected to win anything, are two states however, where the eventual winners (Chandrashekar Rao and Jaganmohan Reddy) can be expected to provide support in the future, considering their neutral stands in the recent past. The North and West of India, the traditional strengths of the BJP, appear set to repeat the one-sided verdicts of 2014, with the halo around Modi being the strongest here. Chattisgarh and Jharkhand, however, might not go completely for the BJP, considering the spectacular victory by the INC in the assembly elections in the former, and significant alliance might of the opposition in the latter.

These two states aside, the BJP seems set for a virtual sweep elsewhere, from formidable alliance strength in Bihar and Maharashtra to the Modi magic in the other northern states. Hence, a bettering of the 2014 performance by both the BJP and NDA remain very much in the cards.

With regard to the other parties, the AAP would most likely draw a blank this time, down from the 2014 high of four seats. The TMC is banking on securing at least 30 seats in West Bengal, for anything lesser would firmly establish BJP’s foothold in the state. The Communist parties can no longer call themselves a national level electoral force, with only Kerala set to be their lucky place.

What lies next

The desperation of the opposition in coming together to prevent Modi from winning again was borne out of the belief (not wrongly), that a second continuous Modi government would virtually signal an immediate, if not final, end to their political careers. This desperation was visible throughout the campaign, as they were unable to match up to the pace and narrative being set by the Prime Minister. This has now reached the levels of total paranoia, with the entire opposition clinging to that last political resort before the five stages of grief officially begin – The EVMs are faulty.

This is now the only straw that the opposition seems to be clutching at, and considering what’s at stake, they will not be prepared to go quietly. Hence, it is not going to be an easy path towards formation of the next Government, irrespective of the BJP’s numbers. The week ahead is certainly going to be an interesting one.

Saudi expands its horizons for foreign funds

0

It appears as if Saudi Arabia is deadly bent upon opening its closed economy for others too. It chalks out plans to expand its horizons for the foreign investors which according to a noted economist Khalid Al-Dhubayi, will help attract at least 100 Saudi Riyal billion worth of investments. It was certainly a moment to commemorate for enthusiastic investors for buying real estate. Not only would this but obtaining a visa for the relatives also become a reality. Others stated that it was something we had always wanting and it was going to happen finally. Certainly three months hence there will be available all the details regarding the scheme for privileged Iqama. We got to an intersection where the beacon light was now turning out to be green for new opportunities, hope the market gazers observing further much productive about the changed declaration to melt the thickest frost off any business expatriate’s heart.

This will pave the way for opening the kingdom as a global financial and economic hub by attracting huge investments from around the world.  The Saudi Arabia government has come with benefitting the 21-year-old emigrants without any criminal record the permanent residency without a Saudi sponsor. They will have the option to make a choice between a permanent and a temporary residence permit. It has been termed as privileged Iqama system. This formula was being formulated to encourage investments in the Kingdom without the need for a local sponsor thereby allowing eligible expatriates to live for a longer period in that Arab country.  Through this facility, they will be capable of owning real estate in the Kingdom and also residing with their families.

The recently announced fresh system offers a permanent residence scheme to be renewed annually to highly skilled emigrants and owners of capital funds. It is aimed at attracting long-term investments as the Saudi Arabia government tries to diversify its economy and boost domestic spending. It will restrict cover-up businesses. Like so many preceding reforms by Saudi Arabia, the latest one heralds in the form of an American Green Card system upon the rich Kingdom. None could rebuff such a motivating offer but would accept with a modest nod. Investors’ eyes could not help wander away over this substantial declaration and their minds would feel like getting the freedom of entry in that inaccessible economy. In the coming three months they would surely notice of what they were so far unaware absolutely.

Will results of our polls go Australian way?

0

It is no longer too far. The wait ends after less than 24 long hours. What was awaited would be coming on Thursday morning? Will it be just the same situation as was seen in highly urbanized Australia where the ruling Liberal National-led conservative coalition defied all the exit polls by stunning one and all? What had been forecast by the exit polls proved totally wrong in that the world’s sixth largest country.

It has somehow attested what Lalu Prasad Yadav once said how could be exit polls’ results be approved if the number of surveyed samples remained implicit? Even the Khamosh-famed Shatrughan Sinha has derided the authenticity of the exit polls. He was correct in naming it as darbari raag. Although the exit polls have been showing victory for the NDA yet the Congress party has not lost its high hopes. Its general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has urged the party men to not to be disheartened amid such trends.

In Australia too, the Labor Party was widely favored by the exit polls but lastly, the results were poles apart. Its leader Bill Shorten termed his overall defeat in touching the magic number of 76 seats in the 151-member Lower House. Deeply overburdened with his depressing disappointment in view of the electoral defeat, he told his staunch supporters that they argued what was right, not what was easy. Will it be more or less similar for the ruling BJP?

However, jubilant Liberal leader Scott Morrison pointed out that the pure victory for him was a no less than a miracle by saying he always believed in miracles. Standing before the thrilling gathering in Sydney he told in his victory speech, “I am standing with the three biggest miracles in my life here, and tonight we have been delivered another one.” This was his joyous mood after emerging victorious in the elections. The country which was renowned for its natural wonders becomes famous for political miracles. Will charming prince Rahul Gandhi taste the miracle against all the odds and all the guesses?

Introspect your negative politics not blame EVM for the defeat – Message for opposition

0

What we witness in India after the post-poll prediction is several politicians are extremely worried and jittered.

Never in the history, goodness, truth, honesty, hard work, noble deeds have got defeated by evil forces and gangs that promote negativity, hatred, anarchy, corruption, dynastic rule etc. Truth along triumphs at the end, however the truth may have to endure several abuses and criticism by the evil forces. Even though the evil forces may be large in numbers but their strength cannot, even collectively defeat truth and right.

Modi is the embodiment of honesty, simplicity, truth, good governance, and governance free of corruption, nepotism, governance focused on development and sab ka vikas and ensuring national security. The corrupt dynastic parties and its naamdaars derived lots of pleasure in abusing Modi, calling him thief and by other cheap words, spread fear and hatred among people but nothing seems to have worked for all those evil forces. The universal law is that truth and honesty, commitment and selflessness alone would win and not selfish gangs that want to loot the nation and want to promote nepotism and sell the nation for power.

People of India appear to have stood with truth and good governance and have not yielded to the negative forces or their tireless negative propaganda. People have realized that Modi’s victory is not just important for India alone but it is equally important for every citizen and every family in India. India has grown significantly in the last 5 years under Modiji. The dynast wants to steal the good governance of Modi and wants to destroy India by engaging in scam and corruption. But people of India showed their highest level of commitment for India and decided to bring back Modi with massive majority so that Modi will be free to implement more reforms and development programmes without any interruption in Parliament.

All the post poll surveys clearly confirm the absolute majority for both BJP and NDA. The proposed victory of India is a clear message to all corrupt forces that their days are numbered in Indian politics. Like how Lord Ram and Lord Krishna came in human form, Modi is also going to take re-birth on 23 May 2019 to destroy all those Kamsas and Ravans in Indian politics.

Like the sacred saying in Mahabharat – Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah, the one who protect dharma, the dharma in turn would protect him. People of India when protect the dharma by supporting the good and corruption free governance of Modi, Modi will come back to power and the incarnation of dharma – Modi, would in turn protect India and Indians.

The second term of Modi is much more challenging because India has to be taken to the next level of development, structured reform and corruption free governance and at the same time, all those looters and scamsters in public life must be sent prison as well.

If all those evil forces are left free, they would again start to destroy India in a small way.  Therefore India must be re-casted to bring Rama Rajya where every citizen has equal opportunity and right to prosper.

The aggressive run of humpty and dumpty to grab power by all means shows nothing but the fear of prison and punishment for their past corrupt deeds.

Modi also must remember the purpose of the embodiment of Lord Krishna and Lord Ram was also to destroy the evil forces like Kamsa and Ravan besides saving and safeguarding people.

Similarly the 2019 must be the year of punishment for all those corrupt forces to make India a heaven, a place where no scope for corruption, nepotism and dynastic politics. Governance, development, sab ka vikas and national security alone should be the focus and nothing else.

INDIANS MUST PRAY FOR MODI’S HEALTH AND LONG LIFE TO RULE INDIA FOR MANY MORE YEARS.

Mocking the mandate, not EVM

0

As expected and fueled by the Exit Polls, preparations have already started to blame the EVM for the results of General Elections 2019. By the time I am writing this, some politicians can be seen marching on streets.

Opposition parties tried hard to malign the image of Mr. Modi, manufactured fake scam propaganda around the Rafael and even raised slogans of “Chowkidar Chor”. But all this looks like to have failed miserably and in fact helped the BJP’s narrative of “Majboot Sarkar”.

The MahaTHUGS smelled the defeat and are now creating a ruckus to blame that EVM malfunction or hacking is the main reason that the BJP is getting clear majority. These thugs think that again creating this fake narrative will help them somehow delay or disturb the process of election. But what they do not know is that by mocking the EVM again they are actually mocking the mandate of the people of India. People of this country know very well now how the EVM has worked fine in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh assembly elections and not working now. When will they understand this?

Dear THUGS of HINDUSTAN, stop thinking that the voters of this country are fools. People of India can be poor and illiterate, but certainly not fool. Better you all should wait for final counts on 23rd May and then introspect, build strategy and plan for future, because, if you repeat same mistakes then 2024 results can be 450+ for a Progressive leader like MODI.

Rahul Gandhi’s lies on being willing to ‘help’ attacked RSS members exposed

Congress President Rahul Gandhi gave an interview with Ravish Kumar broadcast on 11 May 2019. Ravish did not ask him difficult questions such as on Rahul’s lies, how could Rahul say that Modi Government brought a law which allows shooting of tribals, or the fake Rs 15 lakh promise lie, or the lie that Modi ‘gave’ Ambani Rs 30,000 crores, or the lie that industrialists’ loans worth lakhs of crores (ranging from 1.1 lakh to 5.5 lakh crores on different occasions!) were ‘waived off’, etc.

Of course, no one could have imagined Ravish taking such an interview, asking such real questions. A very big lie said by Rahul Gandhi in that interview was: “We will protect everyone, if even RSS members say that they are being attacked, we will help them too”.

What a claim! Let us see this on facts of the past incidents. These incidents reveal the truth about the nature of not only the Congress, what it thinks about the threat to the life of Narendra Modi, and the lives of Hindus in general, and activists of the Hindu Right in particular. In reality, many of the Congress leaders are glad when the Hindu activists are killed or attacked. The Left-liberals want the silence of the Right-wing Hindus, preferably over their dead body.

The Ishrat Jahan case is one pertinent incident. Instead of showing any concern over the attempted attack on Narendra Modi, former Gujarat CM and then Congress leader S S Vaghela and Congress Party had directly accused Narendra Modi of stage-managing the encounter and calling Ishrat Jahan as ‘innocent’ in June 2004 before the confession of the Lashkar-e-Toiba on 14 July 2004, and even later.

In 2010 terrorist David Headley whose real name was Dawood Gilani and who was involved in the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai also admitted that Ishrat was Lashkar’s terrorist. It was reported in June 2013 that the Congress deleted David Headley’s confession!

Let us see how Congress & its ecosystem reacted last year on a plot by Maoists to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As per reports on 8 June 2018, a letter accessed by the Pune Police revealed a plot by Maoists i.e. Communist radicals to assassinate PM Narendra Modi in a “Rajiv Gandhi type incident” by “targeting road shows”. The Pune Police arrested 5 persons in this regard.

After this, as expected, there was an attempt to deny any such threat to Modi, attempt to pooh-pooh the claims of the Pune Police by the usual suspects- i.e. the anti-BJP politicians and the ‘secularist’ intellectuals. ‘Secularist’ journalists Swati Chaturvedi and Rohini Singh went to a ridiculous level to malign the NSA Ajit Doval. Leaders of Rahul Gandhi’s Congress Party like Sanjay Nirupam took the usual path of pooh-poohing this threat.

In Oct 2013, bomb blasts at Narendra Modi’s rally in Patna by Indian Mujahiddin terrorists killed 6 and injured 85. BJP rightly condemned the then Central Govt of UPA as well the then Bihar Government of JD-U who was then not a part of NDA for security lapses.

Congress leader Rashid Alvi went on to say that any probe into the blasts should also find out if any political parties were behind the blasts for personal benefits [implying that BJP could have done those blasts- what third class charges!].

Congress leader and then Rahul Gandhi’s Guru Digvijay Singh too tried to imply that the blasts could have been done by the BJP & did not directly blame Islamic radicals. Expressing surprise over the “coincidence” of bomb blasts and Modi’s rally, Congress’s Digvijay Singh called for a thorough probe, noting that it could otherwise create a “perfect setting for Modi’s launch in Bihar”. Digvijay also gave a reckless statement that the ‘BJP gains from such blasts & riots’ as if it did them. It was just one of the many such reckless statements given and lies spread by Digvijay Singh. It was no ‘coincidence’ that there were blasts and Modi’s rally, the blasts were TARGETED at the rally.

In 2008, there were bombs planted in Surat just 2-3 days after the Ahmedabad blasts of 26 July 2008.  And on one occasion, Modi walked past a live bomb in Surat on 31 July 2008. SIMI activist Abu Basher was the mastermind of the Ahmedabad blasts & most likely also involved in these Surat bomb planting and he was arrested within 3 weeks, and he confessed his involvement. MPs of the Congress, SP & BSP visited the house of Basher in his native place of Azamgarh, for which they were condemned by the BJP. Clerics like Delhi’s Jama Masjid’s Shahi Imam Bukhari and Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi defended Basher. The Congress of course did not condemn either Bukhari or Azmi for such acts.

After the deadly Coimbatore blasts of 14 February 1998 which killed 58 and nearly killed L K Advani, the then Congress President Sitaram Kesri accused RSS of carrying out the blasts. After this, there were reports that he denied having made the allegation. But he then denied having denied the allegation and stuck to his charge. Even these blasts nearly killing Advani who had a miraculous escape as his flight was delayed by over 90 minutes due to bad weather, and killing 58 people, many of whom were BJP workers were not enough to melt the heart of the Congress.

Most political leaders and parties expressed shock and revulsion over the blasts. The then President K.R. Narayanan and Prime Minister I.K. Gujral expressed shock over the bombings, DMK president and TN Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said the blasts were part of a conspiracy by foreign forces to disrupt the electoral process. The then Union Home Minister Indrajit Gupta [of CPI] and CPI(M) general secretary Harkishan Singh Surjeet too said that they suspected a foreign hand behind the blasts. Gupta blamed the ISI for attempting to disrupt the election process in India. But the Congress stooped to an unimaginably low level even in this case, blaming RSS.

DMK Government of TN at least banned the Al-Umma and took action after the blasts, but the Congress continued to defend the terrorists even after the blasts and instead accused RSS of carrying out the blasts.

The Islamic radicals who carried out these bomb blasts belonged to the Al-Umma and the TMMK. After these blasts, the Congress actually allied with Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagham (TMMK)– a party involved in these Coimbatore blasts after the blasts- in 2004, 2006 etc. The TMMK used to contest polls directly earlier. In Feb 2009 it formed a separate political wing called Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK).

In 2006 Congress-DMK Government in TN released Islamic radicals, withdrew cases against them and in 2009 released the Coimbatore blasts convicts pre-maturely. Congress also passed a resolution demanding release of Abdul Madani, accused in the Coimbatore blasts in 2006, about than 1 and half years before his acquittal in this case in 2007.

So much for ‘protection’ to RSS members being attacked, it was protection to terrorists attacking BJP leaders. By alleging that RSS did the 1998 Coimbatore blasts, Congress also helped Pakistan, which got a chance to allege the same, and defend the Islamic radicals, as well as the charge that Pakistan was helping such terrorists.

Congress candidate Imran Masud had himself threatened to chop Modi into pieces in 2014. He was given ticket again in 2019, so much for ‘protecting’ BJP-RSS people.

There have been massive killings of Hindu activists by Islamic/Communist radicals.  Rahul Gandhi knows very well how much the RSS workers suffered due to attacks by Communists in Kerala, West Bengal and Tripura during the days of the Left dominance there, and even today to a lesser extent in Kerala. And the Congress Party instead allied with the Left Front at the Centre from 2004-2008, and also in West Bengal in the 2016 Assembly polls, instead of defending RSS workers from these attacks!

The RSS office was bombed in Chennai on 8 August 1993 killing 14 by Islamic radicals. Out of these 14, six were full-time pracharaks, very important in RSS, not just ordinary workers. And out of these six, 5 were senior pracharaks. This resulted in a crackdown on Islamic fundamentalist organizations, especially the Al-Umma by the AIADMK Government. But under the DMK rule, 16 Al-Umma men who had been detained under TADA for their alleged involvement in this RSS office blast of August 1993 and for possession of weapons were released on bail in January 1997 when the DMK Government prosecutor did not oppose their bail. The Congress did not even issue a token condemnation of this act of the DMK, when DMK was not its alliance partner.

In Godhra 59 Ram sewaks including 25 women and15 children [including babies and toddlers] were killed, roasted to coal by 2000 Muslims on 27 February 2002, far from condemning the killers, Rahul’s Congress stooped to an unimaginably low level.

Within 3 days of Godhra, the Gujarat Congress leadership in Gandhinagar prepared a report that claimed that the incident was ‘provoked’ by kar sevaks who were shouting slogans from Ratnam to Godhra!

The late Amarsinh Chaudhary, the then Gujarat state chief of the Congress Party, came on TV on 27 February 2002 and blamed Ramsevaks for ‘provoking’ the Godhra carnage, alleging that they did not pay for tea and snacks. India Today  (11 March 2002, covering events till 28 Feb 2002) said:…While former chief minister Amarsinh Chaudhary condemned the attack on the train he also blamed the Ram sevaks for provoking it.

In January 2005, the then Railway Minister Lalu Yadav got a Banerjee committee to give a fake report that the Godhra carnage was an ‘accident’. Everyone knows the truth and in February 2003 there was a JUDICIAL CONFESSION by one Muslim accused of this too. If it had been an accident, the Ram sewaks would have ran out of the train and saved their lives, it was a mob of Muslims who did not allow them to run away and burnt them to coal. Congress [along with CPI and CPM , RJD, SP etc] staunchly defended the Banerjee report and condemned BJP for opposing it with Congress spokesmen Abhishek Singhvi and Anand Sharma in the forefront!

The Congress fully defended the final Banerjee report in March 2006 which was same as the interim report and instead demanded the immediate resignation of the then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and condemned Modi!

When the Nanavati Commission, which was a full-fledged Commission of Inquiry having all powers under the Commission of Inquiry Act, gave its report in September 2008 that Godhra was a well-planned act done by Muslims, UPA allies like Congress, RJD and Left parties CPI, CPM again refused to accept it, and instead condemned the report.

In Feb 2011 the trial court convicted 31 Muslims and called the Godhra carnage as a pre-planned act. Even after this, the Congress refused to accept Muslims did Godhra.

In July 2002, the Congress officially accused the Sangh Parivar of having burnt the train in Godhra. This is like accusing Rahul Gandhi for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, so third class is the charge!

In 1948 after Gandhiji’s murder RSS men were ruthlessly crushed by the Nehru Government. In fact, one day before Gandhiji’s murder, on 29th Jan 1948 Nehru was reported to have said that: “He will crush the RSS”. The so-called Gandhians, who claim to present the other cheek when slapped on one, horribly attacked the RSS workers, sympathizers and specially Marathi Brahmins, even though they were all innocent, whereas as per Gandhian philosophy they should have presented their cheek even if they had been guilty. No court ever found the RSS responsible in any way, and Nathuram Godse himself made it clear several times that he and he alone was responsible for Gandhiji’s killing. The Justice Kapur Commission appointed by the Congress Government also said that RSS could not be held responsible. But, without any evidence, houses of RSS men were burnt, looted and cadres killed also. As just one example, the press of the Marathi newspaper Tarun Bharat was burnt.

Never in the past 70 years has the Congress ever apologized for these acts of 1948.

Far from defending RSS men when they were attacked, the Congress has itself attacked RSS men in 1948, and defended the HEINOUS KILLERS and other attackers who attacked members of RSS, BJP, VHP and other Hindu activists in the past. And Rahul Gandhi has the audacity to make such a fake claim of ‘defending RSS people if attacked’, without answering the above incidents ever. And of course, it would have been a miracle if the interviewer Ravish Kumar had cross-questioned Rahul’s claim with the above facts, instead of taking it at face value!

Open letter to Sagarika Ghose on her Blog “Big Boss syndrome ‘

Dear Sagarika Madam

You are bemoaning  the Indian TV  channels’  preoccupation with political leaders’ repugnant personal attacks on their adversaries than bringing to fore the real issues confronting the Nation. You are accusing the TV channels of recasting the entire electioneering coverage to that of a TV reality show that goes as “Big Boss”. However one really wonders if there is any substantive issue in this election for the opposition which has reduced the entire election theme to “Modi Hatao– Desh Bachao” campaign.

Let us begin to address your gripe that real issues in the 2019 election coverage have been allowed to be brushed aside and obscured by media channels preferring to focus on our political leaders’ proficiency to unleash personal attacks on each other. The pertinent question that needs answer is did the opposition have any real issue that would have mobilised public support around it. Let us examine what possible issues they could have brought out except holding on to failure to deposit Rs 15 lakhs in people’s bank account as was mentioned by Modi in one of his election rhetorics (which never appeared in their official manifesto).

The intolerance issue had gone stale because by and large the minority population lived peacefully without having to face any communal clash. All govt. welfare schemes were applicable to one n all without any discrimination on religious or cast lines. The stage managed lynching faded out of news in view of strict laws introduced. The ever exploitable farmers cause was not available for renting because dragging it would have exposed the congress party’s own vulnerability in the states it is ruling, where it is struggling to keep up the promises it has made to the farmers. There was no issue concerning Law and order situation. With the success of surgical strike across Pakistan to tame Pakistan and with china endorsing UN resolution on Assad Masood, there was no scope for exploiting foreign diplomacy short comings.

Most importantly there was not a streak of corruption in the ministries. The so called job crisis and unemployment was not finding any takers except in academic debates and op-ed pages. The political parties could not make the jobless people  a big election issue because the most affected category of population in the age group of 18 to 25 were found to be the most vociferous supporters of Narendra Modi. None of the issue had  potential nocuous impact to exploit public antagonism.

Having failed in their quest to rent an issue the opposition settled upon the most pertinent issue which threatened their survival in politics. They euphemistically termed it as save democracy. Stop Modi to save democracy failed to appeal to the common public from peasant class to the middle class who form the major voting bloc. The educated class found the stop Modi and save democracy narrative very bemusing as they found- no one’s right being infringed upon, judiciary was functioning normally, no unlawful arrests were being made, the media continued to publish articles disparaging the govt and its leader as freely as ever.

It soon dawned on the public that the democracy that the opposition was hankering after had some unique features. A Democratic system where it was guaranteed that- Political leaders would not be pursued by investigating agencies for corruption charges and disproportionate assets case, Mallayas and Chowksis could continue to remain in India without getting arrested for failure to repay their huge bank loans, Demonetisation version 2 would not be brought in to cripple political parties ability to finance nefarious activities, hundreds of Benami firms used for siphoning black money would continue to thrive without any clamps on them. As it was impossible to expect these guarantees under Modi govt they wanted to save their democracy from Modi.

Rahul Gandhi’s preposterous admission that since Modi’s strength happened to be his image, therefore congress had devised their campaign strategy built around chipping away and eroding his impeccable image, made it abundantly clear that personal attack on Modi was to become the main election plank. Under the circumstances it is really shocking that you have scandalously chosen to describe Rahul as that  love sage who is hesitant to  let lose personal attacks on Modi, when as a matter of fact for more than a year he has been calling him chor.

Despite the charge in Rafael deal getting countered and nullified on various occasions the congress think tank continued with the “Chowkidar chor hai“ campaign. People attending his rallies were dragooned to chant in chorus “Chowkidar Chor hai“, even the children were not spared and they were allured to chant this derogatory slogan. The personal attack on Modi was carried out by one and all and they were covertly encouraged by Rahul. Many in the congress trying to impress their leadership competed with each other to excel in name calling. Suddenly in the fag end of the electioneering out of now where the obnoxious congress veteran who was sacked for his derogatory remarks on our PM few months earlier resurfaced to audaciously insist that he was right in his earlier remarks about PM. Even ultra lightweights and non entities in politics like Manish Sisodia, Kanhaiya, Jignesh Mevani took it upon themselves to echo “Modi Hatao – Desh Bachao“ theme.

In the absence of any tangible issue to take on Modi the opposition simply relied on personal attack on him while hoping for the minority votes and caste votes to see them through. The TV channels cannot be blamed for making the election coverage the “Big boss“ reality show, it is not for them to raise the issues which the opposition themselves did not have.

It is very unethical on your part to bracket PM’s diligent and righteous remarks on the former PM Rajiv Gandhi with other third rate below the belt personal attacks hurled at him. No one can find fault with Modi’s reasoning that if one was keen to seek votes in the name of one’s families’ contribution to the Nation then he cannot insulate himself from his family’s misdeeds being pointed at him.

Not Modi Not Shah! It is CBN’s strategy which made BJP win in the centre

YES. It is not good governance by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that is winning him a second term in 2019. Neither is it the strategy of accused King maker Amit Shah which is bringing the power back to BJP for a second term. IT IS CHANDRA BABU NAIDU’s strategy which is bringing power to NDA today. Yes! It could have been on his own merit that there was a Modi wave in 2014 and anti-incumbency that brought him power back then. But now, it is absolutely Chandra Babu Naidu’s master stroke that is winning BJP.

Ever since Babu had quit NDA, he started accusing TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samiti – The party in power in Telangana) and YSRCP (YSR Congress Party – Opposition party in Andhra Pradesh) are B teams of BJP, while he was fully aware that he was with NDA with a pre-poll alliance since 2014 and just having quit the NDA after 4 years of being together, he just wanted to make sure that there would be no doubt on TDP(Telugu Desam Party – Led by CBN) that it is the B team of BJP.

After having whitewashed his image as a Non – NDA party, with the prowess of Media(sold out / bought out) he started campaigning against Modi/BJP and started being a black sheep in the opposition. There was no Mahagatbandhan without him. It was he himself who reached out to everyone from Maya to Mamata, Sonia to Vijayan, Kumaraswamy to Akhiles, it is he who brought all of them together.

If you remember clearly, it was he who proposed that there wouldn’t be any PM candidate’s image for campaigning. And he asked everyone to say the same thing. Even Sonia had to accept him, as he has created an image that he is such power to bring down Modi. So, Rahul, who was already a PM candidate from powerful Congress party also had to declare that he is not interested in being PM and anyone could be the PM after polls.

After creating this Mahagatbandhan, it was him who suggested PM secretly to term it as Maha Thug Bandhan, but then the deceitful PM improvised it without seeking the permission of Babu and called it Maha Milavat. Though it backfired his strategy, Babu dealt it so well and made sure BJP wins.

Babu has successfully took the full mileage of Congress winning in MP, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. It was he, who convinced Congress that they are winning everywhere and kept them in a delusion that they are actually winning, despite the fact that the vote share in those elections was more for BJP than that of Congress. He could malign such crucial information to saying that it is Congress’ prowess that is making them win and it is not a dead party. He was acting as a messiah for the delusionary queen Sonia and took full mileage of meetings with Sonia by going to all others and convincing them that Sonia is behind him and he would be helping everyone in dethroning Modi.

And in the meanwhile, he convinced Sonia that Rahul should not be the PM candidate. Just imagine, if only Rahul was told to say that he is the PM candidate of Magatbandhan! Yes, there would have not been an issue to any of the 21 parties as their only aim is dethrone Modi. they would all have accepted it and later have talked about what they wanted. But, it is Babu’s master brain plan that changed the narrative of Rahul V/s Modi to Mahagatbandhan V/s Modi. He was successful in each and every step he was taking. It is after this step that the whole thing changed. Congress V/s BJP to Modi V/s Who. This was the master stroke by CBN. He gave feelers to the media that there would be someone or the other Prime Minister, like Gujral or Deve Gowda or Chandrasekhar or VP Singh, whatever, whoever! He created a fear among aam voters that if they didn’t vote for BJP, there would be a weak Prime Minister.

He not only gave us the fear of weak Prime Minister but also gave confidence to opposition leaders like Devegowda, Mamata, Mayavati that they are equivalent to Modi and could be the PM candidate after the polls. This very confidence which was built in, in them had feared the aam voter and vented out their’ frustration by voting to BJP.

So, let us not discredit him of what he is worthy of. He is the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar of Politics. Let us credit him and request BJP to take back TDP into NDA and even ask Modi and Amit Shah to keep a 20*40 picture of Babu in their offices for having brought back power to BJP again in 2019.

Why do liberals find excuses for defeat?

I remember following the 2003 World Cup in South Africa. India on the back of their amazing performances made it to the final and we were all waiting with bated breath for Sachin Tendulkar to win the cup for us with a sparkling century to chase a strong Australian total. He failed and so did our hope of winning the cup.

But before we get to the chase one has to understand what happened prior to the chase started? India won the toss and elected to field on a spicy surface. If our bowlers found their line and lengths quickly we wouldn’t be talking about the chase but alas it wasn’t to be and the innings which started with a wide went on and on and finally Australia posted a mammoth total.

As mentioned earlier, Sachin failed and so did India. But the Indian captain at the press conference did not hide behind excuses and graciously accepted that the opponent was better than them on that day. They didn’t do well in any of the three departments and they were bound to lose with such a performance against a well oiled Australian unit which went undefeated in the tournament.

The reason I am citing the above example is not pretty hard to understand. Unlike politicians, sportsmen/women have a shelf life. Therefore they can’t live in a world of denial and have to own up to their mistakes for them to reach their goals. If they persist on living by their delusions then it will show them up and they fall into oblivion.

For example, if a Saurav Ganguly or a Sachin Tendulkar start blaming the pitch, the bowlers or even the square for their loss that day then they wouldnt have ever reached or scaled the peaks that they have. Whether one wants to believe it or not, honest introspection is the best way forward and there is no short cut to success.

Over the past couple of days, ever since the last vote was cast, the opposition parties have started blaming the EVMs, ECI and even pliant right wing media for the debacle they are yet to face. It is like Sachin Tendulkar saying the pitch is favouring the opposition without even entering the field of play and waiting for the game to start. Why is it that political parties and politicians get away with such excuses instead of trying to understand the reason behind their yet to face debacle? Remember the results aren’t yet declared but the opposition parties are already preparing the ground for their ineptitude while the liberal media has just lost their sense of bearing.

The India of up until the 90’s would have believed these cock and bull stories as then, we still fully didn’t understand the mechanisms of the Lutyens cabal and their masters. Now the world has shrunk with the advent of social media and people can’t be deceived by these baseless and unfounded allegations being peddled as facts. Therein lies the eternal problem. While the world has indeed shrunk and people have started adapting, the political class refuse to leave their bubbled existence. Because they don’t know any other way to exist, they always find excuses for their abject failures.

So it isn’t RaGa’s constant cacophony of lies and allegations, which are the reason for Congress’s debacle. Neither will it be Mamata Didi’s atrocities against the people of Bengal. It wont be the opportunistic political alliances of Bua-Batija, CBN and etal. It is the EVMs, ECI and the right wing pliant media.

Will CBN change his tune if he somehow manages to win AP? Can Congress answer their victories in Karnataka, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and MP? Can TMC really justify its violence against the people? Can Bua-Bhatija really say that theirs was an opportunistic alliance? No they won’t/can’t. They live in a world of fantasy and are so disconnected with the populace that they still think we will believe all the drivel that comes out their mouths. And that is the reason the BJP is predicted to win.

People are not politicians but they have borne them for a long time and are aware of their true nature in this day and age. So let the opposition cry hoarse over all the constitutional bodies and shout from the roof top about their complicity. The people of India have seen enough and heard enough. The ballot will answer your questions and even then if you refuse to learn then be ready to be relegated to oblivion. As now even politicians have a shelf life and if the opposition thinks it isn’t true, just wait for the 23rd and the people of India will show it is true.

And just so that the opposition understands, people voted for the BJP for its progressive policies. They voted because of the corruption free governance. They voted because they could sift through all the lies and allegations peddled by the Lutyens media and its gang. They voted because they could see with their own eyes the hypocrisy of the political elite and they voted for the BJP because they knew what was the real NYAY!

If that is a bitter pill to swallow, so be it. But if for even a second the opposition believes that they arent the reason for their debacle then I sincerely wish RaGa, Mamata Didi, CBN, Akhilesh, Mayawati, Kejriwal and Tejaswi all the best as soon you shall all be relegated to the dustbins of history and into Oblivion.

Just ask one of your staunch supporters Shri Yogendra Yadav ji what i mean by that.
