Development & decline, corruption & exaggerated money flow in market are quite common – India under Modi govt. is stable, strong and fast growing

0

Rampant corruption is bound to produce an exaggerated money flow in the market. The above phenomenon is mostly due to the unstoppable ambition of people (those who got ill-gotten money) to fulfill all their greed at the expense that they got not out their genuine toil. In common man’s language, the above money is called bribe money.

In the last several decades until 2014, the some portion of the money that was flowing in the market in an exaggerated manner was a part of bribe or scam money. But all of a sudden, from 2014 onward, most of the habitual corrupts and the syndicates of the corruption got demolished by PM Modi’s administration and he scrupulously closed all doors and windows, why, even the pin hole, so the corrupts could not loot the country. The looted money the corrupt would often bring to the market to make it white in other words, make it legal money. The corrupt would usually make huge investments or purchases or engage in orally agreed loan arrangements for interest etc., with the scam cash that they have earned. It all depends on how much money that they have got according to their hierarchy and position.

Today the slump that we witness is also part of the above reason. The question to be asked by every citizen is whether we should allow corruption and scams to happen freely without any check so that our market would remain vibrant and dynamic to some extent? Should we need such economy?

What we see and experience today in our economy are part of the stern measures taken by PM Modi to curb corruption and scams. Further PM Modi also brought several structural reforms, to which many people are yet to adopt. Those business houses that were looting our banks under the auspicious of UPA 1 and 2 had to pull out from the show because Modiji started to catch onto their neck for re-payment.

The large NPA that we suffer are largely the PONGAL gift of UPA1 and 2 as the ministry of finance in UPA 1 and 2 was handled by who is well known to the world.

The slump in the automobile sector also needs to be understood from the perspective of development in infrastructure, city-rural connectivity by train, metro rail, bus, share auto and other cost effective transportation services like Uber, Ola etc.

A reasonable proportion of people also prefer walking wherever possible as people started to believe that walking is a good exercise and good for health thanks to the health consciousness created by Modi by promoting YOGA.

Reasonable proportions of people also want to adapt to government transport system or share auto facility purely due their efforts to minimize pollution and reverts climate change. Fuel cost, increased premium of vehicle insurance, vehicle maintenance cost, lack of parking space, parking charge etc., also deter people from using own vehicle wherever is possible. All the above collectively bound to cause a slump in our economy.

Actually our economy is stabilizing under PM Modi. Our economy is gaining strength and good health under PM Modi and in fact it was quite weak under congress regime. The exaggerated money flow is missing in the market is also due to stagnation in our service sector. Our IT sector is getting saturated and therefore both job creation and high salary are slowly declining. Earlier, the initial salary of the IT professional was quite attractive with its initial reference point and hence people had surplus money to spend on their luxury needs but that is missing today. Further many other developing countries have also entered into the service sector which has indeed affected the prospects of India to some extent.

In the beginning the IT houses were set up in IT corridors which was away from city with virtually no infrastructure and residential facility. But today, the land around most of the IT corridors have developed, plenty of apartments have come and hence the IT professionals prefer to occupy those apartments obviously due to the logistic reasons. This situation has brought down both the corporate purchase and the individual purchase of vehicles. Availability of E platform to order and get many things online also has minimized the use of vehicle.

The economic experts may discount all or most of the above reasons as little storm in the tea cup but on closer analysis many of the above reasons collectively and individually has contributed their share to our present day economic slump or dullness.

India must recognise the absolute, profound and loud truth that Modi has brought down corruption otherwise India was under Tsunami of corruption under congress and UPA regime. Modi is stabilizing our economy by infusing all necessary disciple and norms.  Indian is in fact facing a stable growth and stability and not dullness. We must recognize that rampant corruption is bound to cause an exaggerated money flow in market which was quite obvious during UPA 1 and 2. Similarly development is also bound to cause a small decline as people become self-conscious and self-disciplined measuring their needs, save money and contribute something to our environment.

Indians must continue to dedicate at least one hour per day for promoting the positive aspects of Modi’s government, must speak about how corruption and scam free is India under Modi and how shabby and shameful India was under UPA to the society to make India a great land to live and cherish. Time has come we also must promote the sacred thread that can unite all Indians – the Hindu culture, Hindutwa and Hinduism so that India became the role model for unity, universal brotherhood and eternal peace.

Right to life vs right to liberties

0
  1. “Rahul Gandhi leads a delegation of 12 opposition leaders to Srinagar” reads the headlines today. Appropriately commented and resented by the Govt sources in media. This raises a question as to who is in the right. Govt or Opposition?
  2. Opposition comes up with arguments ranging from “assessing the sit on ground” to “daub the wounds suffered by Kashmiris due to suspension of civil liberties post abrogation of Art 370” to ‘lend a helping hand to the Govt to normalise the sit in the National interest’.
  3. Govt counters it by saying that the delegation is prevented to visit Srinagar for preventing the situation to worsen which is on the path of recovery as Sec 144 is in force. The arguments range from ‘Opposition trying to go for political gains” to “opposition trying to incite the forces inimical to India” to “giving enough material to the detained political leaders to agitate against the population control measures being implemented” to “opposition giving ammunition to the rusted Pak propaganda machinery” to “internationalise  Kashmir against the interests of India”.
  4. All these are the political games being played by the opposition to remain in business on an issue on which Govt appears to have scored perfect 9, with the bold and daring act of making Art 370 redundant in a Blitz Krieg. The same could not be done by any Govt for last 72 years. To confuse the gullible common man of J&K, this provision of Art370 in Indian Constitution has been flogged, (mis)interpreted by so called stake holders, be it local political establishment, the dissidents and secessionists i.e Hurriat and Pak propaganda machine or the Govt of India. In the ultimate analysis, in this slanging match (on for the last 72 years), it is the common man who suffers from lack of infrastructure development, economic propriety, curtailment of civil liberties, terrorising dissidence perpetrated by Pak ISPR, fear of gun from security forces and the unambiguous – must abide by- orders of religious radicalisation  agents. This entire gamut with plethora of gun totting, media cynics and politico religious self-styled heritors of J&K have only succeeded in creating a sense of insecurity and fear of life amongst the common masses of J&K.
  5. In this scenarios, Govt of India has displayed its astute ability to strike down the malefic provisions of Act 370 to integrate the J&K state with union of India. Subsequently it has also been able to achieve a decisive political victory by ensuring a vital 2/3rd majority for passing the four bills pertaining of J&K in the Parliament. Since backlash from the forces inimical to Indian national interests, i.e secessionists, religious bigots and Pak sponsored stooges, was expected hence population control measures are being justified by Govt. These forces have created fear in the past and now they are enhancing the fear of life by threat of ransacking, arson, loot and the life of a common man itself, if their proclaimed dictate is not followed. The unscrupulous politicians who were the beneficiaries of perks, privileges and money from Govt of India, are also trying to unleash the fear of life against the common man on streets i.e shopkeepers, employees, vendors etc.

What a common man wants today? It is to resume the business as usual so that he can earn bread for his family, wants schools to re-open so that children do not loose on education, wants restorations of civil liberties to lead a decent life of respectability and freedom. This all is being prevented by the Opposition insistence of carrying out their rally in Kashmir.

  1. This action of the Opposition, will certainly give an impetus to antagonists’ forces to give vent to discordant agenda which will lead to disruption, chaos and danger to personal safety and security of life, material and general propriety. This will also get accentuated by effective propaganda by Pak ISPR, religious establishment and local political activists. The common man will have no choice but to play lame duck fearing for his very existence and life in this grand game being played by schismatic, sectarian, religious and Pak political and military establishment to bolster their personal selfish anti India agenda. The common man has to live in an environment of fear in backdrop of numerous gun totting climate.
  2. Thus, these population control measures are a guarantee to right to life for people of J&K. Curtailment of some of the liberties, provides security to life of common man. The temporary suspension of social media allows peace and discourages the nefarious designs of rumour mongers and mischief makers. Temporary control of movement allows for preventing the movement of disruptive elements. It also gives freedom to common man to restart the business as usual. The temporary population control measures are to ensure the safety of common man and prevent any anti national force or anti national narrative to succeed. It bolsters the right to life of J&K common man. Thus, under the present circumstances, where inimical activists are trying to fish in muddy waters, the ’right to life’ should be preferred to the ‘right to liberties’. As the situation improves gradually, the ‘right to liberties’ will eventually be restored in a phased manner.

Chandrayaan 2 – A story of success

0

Two days after going incommunicado, Vikram, the lander of Chandrayaan 2 has finally been spotted by the Orbiter. The news comes as that much needed potion of relief for a country that was collectively dismayed at the loss in link with the lander and was praying hard for it’s life.

On the night of 7th September (IST) the whole world waited with bated breath and heightened spirits to witness a historical moment, when Vikram, the lander of Chandrayaan 2 would be soft-landing on the surface of the moon. Unfortunately, just about 2.1 km short of the final destination it deviated from the planned trajectory and subsequently lost contact with the control room. The mission had not wholly delivered what it had intended to, but that night it did something that had never happened before in this country. It brought an entire nation together, no not for a cricket match or a war, but for science.

We were devoutly praying for the success of our scientists who had invested their time, sweat and soul for this mission and for our country which was preparing to step into an area not yet discovered- the south pole of moon. We were hoping it to join the elite club of countries that have soft landed on the moon (So far only USA, Russia and China have managed this feat). And yes, even the children remained wide awake at 2 a.m. in the night to witness this historic moment!

The Prime Minister was present in person with team ISRO. Excitement and nervousness had gripped the air and was palpable from the expressions of the scientists in the control room and even the Prime Minister. There were prayers and wishes. The young and the old across the country watched in anxiety from their living rooms as the lander prepared for it’s final moments of descent. The last fifteen minutes was crucial, as Dr. K Sivan, the director of ISRO had aptly put “fifteen minutes of terror”, and in the last leg of these fifteen minutes was where the control was lost, pulling an entire nation into an aura of dismay. Subsequently the information from ISRO that the mission has achieved about 95 percent success was a boost for everyone. And now that the lander has been traced unharmed, we are just hoping that the connection is re-established with Vikram.

Chandrayaan 2 is an indigenous project that was developed entirely in India. The assemblage consisted of an Orbiter, a lander and a rover. The lander was named Vikram after Vikram Sarabhai, the Indian scientist, astronomer and physicist, who was the founder of Indian Space research Organization (ISRO). The rover was called Pragyaan, which means wisdom, a word synonymous with ISRO. The primary objective of the mission was to demonstrate soft landing on the moon and study for presence of water-ice and minerals.

In November 2007, an agreement was signed between ISRO and Roscosmos (Russian Federal Space Agency) to work on the Chandrayaan 2 project together. As per this agreement ISRO was to develop the orbiter and rover, while Roscosmos was to provide the lander. ISRO performed according to schedule but as Russia was unable to deliver the lander on time, the mission was postponed to 2016 from 2013. When later due to the failure of the Forbes-Grunt mission to mars, Russia intimated that even by 2015 it would not be able to supply the lander (as it was using the same technology that was used in the Forbes-Grunt mission), India decided to built its own lander and thus took a decision to develop the mission independently. The decision by ISRO to go solo might have required a lot of grit and determination.

Chandrayaan 2 the second lunar mission of India is an ambitious project. It aimed for soft landing on the south pole of the moon, an area that hasn’t been explored so far. Since it was an area that is yet to be walked-on, the challenge faced by ISRO was different and tougher. So for attempting to go into an area where none had before is no mean achievement.

The gesture of solidarity shown by our Prime Minister who lent his support and shoulder to ISRO Chairman Sivan when the latter lost control of his emotions, will go down as an immortal human-touch moment in the history of space science in this country, only next to that famous communication between our former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Squadron leader Rakesh Sharma from space. When asked how India looks from space by Gandhi, Sharma had replied “Saare jahan se achcha.” The embrace of comfort by Narendra Modi speaks a lot about the ethos of this land – of how we are united and will stand for each other in moments of glory and loss. The picture also showed where two people from humble beginnings have reached in this country and in fact leading the country towards a better tomorrow. Modi and Sivan are the real heroes of today’s India and a source of inspiration for all of us.

For us Indians the Chandrayaan 2 is not just another space mission, but it will go down in history as an event that inspired an entire nation to believe in itself and to stand together in good and not-so good times.

And as I answer my seven year old son’s curious questions about Vikram, Pragyaan and the Chandrayaan 2 mission, I can see the strong impact it has had on our young minds. As per scientific standards this mission may not have achieved a hundred percent success rate but it definitely has surpassed any absolute number by igniting thousands of young minds. And who knows, tomorrow these young minds may go on to follow the footsteps of our heroes at ISRO and discover newer areas and scale greater heights!

Corruption of congress has only landed India’s economy to this state, let us accept the truth

0

Every autoimmune disease has a definite window period. Even the cancer also passes through a cycle from first stage to the terminal metastasis stage. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment is given on time, even the cancer can be treated completely. The slump faced by Indian economy is the consequence of wrong policies and rampant corruptions of UPA 1 and 2. If UPA 1 and 2 had focused a little on governance than corruption and scams thanks to coalition compulsion and Banks were not politicied to give loan knowing well to all those who would not repay had sunk our banks and NPA has heaped like Himalayan mountain. The final manifestation what we see today is the real gift of congress party which Narendra Modi is fixing through harsh measures.

Many business activities have been running in the country without any accountability, checks and balances thanks to the rampant political patronage. Tax evasion, black money conversion, over charging, shell hosting etc., were so rampant until demonetization and implementation of GST were done. Similarly, until IBC was enacted, all those looters were on free run and no investigating agency or the bank can pursue them because their political master would then appear in the scene to protect them. Finally, all those loans would be written off as non-performing assets or bad loans and were not shown even in the balance sheet. But PM Modi took a different stand on this and proclaimed that no one would be allowed to swindle our country and all those scamsters and corrupts will be punished and all that money they owe to the nation will be confiscated. The above stringent measure of Modi govt. has broken the heart of several corrupt syndicates and their bosses in politics. Most of those corrupts tried their best to paste a different India so that the innocent people of this country are diverted and again made to elect them than the honest PM Modi back in power in 2019. But people of India made a very wise decision and re-elected Narendra Modi with thumping majority.

Treatment for any sickness would be sometime bitter, may warrant surgery and prolonged hospitalization. The most common treatment strategy for even diabetes mellitus is to avoid eating of high starch and sugar rich food. Most of the time the treatment and doctor’s prescription would be more painful than the real disease. But only by complying to the prescription, the patient can recover.

Today PM Modi has taken the perfect role of a doctor and is fixing the economy by several means.  By showcasing something cosmetically just to attract the audience and receive the claps from the gallery is the way of style of Modi. He always diagnose the problem from its root, its origin, various manifestations and finally how the treatment is compounding the problem is deeply analysed.

Root cause of the problem that our country was facing till 2014 was corruption. Corruption by the congress government since 1947 has corroded our economy but the congress party has shown the economy – the termite mount, as a real mountain range and was fooling the people. But PM Modi when came to power in 2014, broke the myth, destroyed the mystical termite mount economy gifted to our nation by the dynastic politics of congress party and then started to build the economy of our country by arresting all doors and windows for the corrupts and looters.

Tax evaders, black money holders, bribe takers, hawala trans actors, benami actors, wilful bank loan defaulters etc., were taken into task by PM Modi. As a result of the above initiative, the market started to face a slump which is imminent because what was made to believe about our economy by congress party was totally false and fabricated.

The one and the only cause for the problems in our economy is corruption and scam by the congress government. Just by arresting the corruption and scam in our country by 5 years we cannot set right the destruction our economy over several decades of corruption and scams by congress government.

People of India who aspire for corruption free India must educate the society not to believe the opposition parties and the propaganda of tukde tukde gangs and instead must recognize that it was the congress party and family politics that has destroyed India and its economy. PM Modi alone can save India from this crisis, he has vision, determination and is also the embodiment of honesty and truth.

People must extend their unconditional support to PM Modi to make India a great land of peace and diversity. Hinduism and Hindutwa alone can make the country great and therefore the essence of our sacred Hindu culture we must promote and perpetuate for the universal brother hood and peace.

Never wants to be ‘Et tu, Brute’ show of P Chidambaram, an anticipatory olive branch

0

The recent statement of P Chidambaram who is serving prison term in Tihar jail as a part of judicial custody for interrogation innocently claims that he doesn’t even know why he has been arrested. Through the above statement he tries to patronage not only his alleged innocence but also mocks the entire establishment, possibly including the judiciary for arresting him. But people of India are no fools and therefore even if he speaks truth people would wash his all statements twice and only then would decide whether to believe it or not.

It looks like he wants to send out a message that he doesn’t want to become an ‘Et tu, Brute’ looks like an attempt to infuse confidence in ‘SOMEONE’ so that the ‘SOMEONE’ can be confident and can do all possible from outside….. what exactly is difficult to decode.

P Chidambaram was known for obtaining anticipatory bail and from that perspective if we analyse his present gesture, it looks like he is serving an olive branch to someone in advance: for what, is not clear.

The statement of P Chidambaram looks like a stick and carrot where he is offering carrot in advance so that he will be duly reciprocated by carrot and otherwise he doesn’t mind using the stick as well. By making the above statement that he does not want any more arrests, he is attempting to caricature the investigations and litigation in India which he himself had headed in the past as countries home minister.

No amount of rhetoric or olive branches are going to serve any good to him if the evidences are undeniable. By making a changeling story that he doesn’t know why he is arrested and imprisoned shows how intoxicated he is with arrogance and higher echelon thinking.

How our investigating agencies and judiciary can arrest and put under judicial remand a person of his stature with out any merit or shred of evidence. This question is being asked by all most all Indians and hence none of his brazen attempts are going to earn him any sympathy or support.

No body is charging him guilty but at the same time no one thinks he is totally innocent and his hands are likely to be clean. It can be interpreted that there was a gang or team might have worked to execute certain scams in an intelligent fashion and when the evidences point towards one of them, naturally the one would be investigated both under police and judicial custody. The message is that I have not named any of you so none of you have to have any worry and if you are investigated, take this message and act accordingly. This is how many people read the statement of P Chidambaram.

Why should P Chidambaram behave like Thenalis cat, exhibit so much of resistance and restlessness. If he is so innocent, he can easily walk free like a martyr by breaking the case because he is innocent. Why his innocence is not giving him confidence, instead it produces tides of restlessness, stupidity, brazen attempt to sell to the world that he is born innocent and why should he serve olive branch to his team mates in the ministries that he had served in the past as home minister and finance minister.

PM Modi must ensure that all corruption cases must be disposed off fast and all those guilty must be punished. The likely question people of India are going to confront Narendra Modi in 2024 is that how many corrupts have been punished so far by his government.

If the investigating agencies prove the guilt of P Chidambaram beyond any reasonable doubt, certainly the investigating agencies and our legal process will gain enormous credibility and support from common man. The point is not about punishing P Chidambaram but the legal system must be fair and transparent in punishing P Chidambaram if he is guilty. He should be treated like any other ordinary citizen of this country. A person of P Chidambaram’s stature is if punished based on the merit of the case and availability of undeniable evidences, certainly people of India would believe that PM Modi is credible and walk the talk with references to his commitment and promise towards eliminating corruption and scams in our country.

In sea, spotting and catching a big fish is relatively easy but in Indian politics, the big fish cannot be touched because it is big. PM Modi must re-write the above untold law and must ensure confidence upon the ordinary man that he will spare none if they are corrupt and guilty.

NJAC 2.0 may be fitting tribute in Arun Jaitley’s memory

“BJP and Arun Jaitley ji had an unbreakable bond. As a fiery student leader, he was at the forefront of protecting our democracy during the Emergency. He became a much liked face of our party who could articulate the party programs and ideology to a wide spectrum of society,” Narendra Damordas Modi tweeted. PM Modi also said that he had lost a valuable friend in Jaitley. “I have lost a valued friend whom I have had the honour of knowing for decades. His insight on issues and nuanced understanding of matters had very few parallels. He lived well, leaving us all with innumerable happy memories. We will miss him!”

Tributes have flowed thick and fast and continuing to chime in, from across the aisles. Jaitley was one BJP top honcho who never got bracketed as being ‘communal’, by even the dreaded Lutyens’ and Khan Market Log. He was almost one of them despite belonging to the ‘other’. Even Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not spared. He straddled across the varied turfs, dousing fire whenever BJP was under attack as its prime spokesperson. He held his own against the best in the business and ‘trumped all comers with his true mukhota’ as a commentator put it.

Come the Gujarat riots and trials and tribulations of the Modi/Shah combine. Jaitley along with S.Gurumurthy, now Thuqlak editor, formed a strong team to defend them in every fore and particularly in legal proceedings. He was not only the brain behind the strategy but the ‘executioner too of the assailants’ enabling Narendra Modi to become the Prime Minister in 2014. Jaitley even took on the venerable Lal Krishna Advani, when it came to projecting Modi as the face of BJP, before the 2014 general elections. Rest is history, as they say.

As Finance Minister, he was hemmed in by the party diktats and he was one who never forgot the lesson his mentor Jag Pravesh Chandra, gave during his student days as Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) leader. “Always stick to the party line. Defend it with all your class and cunning. Party is your mother and she can do no wrong.” That is why despite his disdain for ‘socialist’ principles, he reined in his market instincts. He consoled himself as following the footsteps of Deendayal Upadhyay with his ‘integral humanism’. Left to himself he may have embarked on ‘an explosive reformist agenda by indulging in a privatisation mela’, as a tribute suggests. His efforts on GST consensus nothwithstanding, he would have loved to have delivered better.

What strikes one uppermost, is the fact Jaitley always was a lawyer to the manor born. He was at his brilliant best before Judges who did not agree with him. In his 30s he became Additional Solicitor General of India, even before he was designated Senior. He excelled in court craft as his junior, now a Senior Advocate, says, “He toiled for 18 hours without a struggle so that he may make it simple to the Judges to agree with him, to the consternation of his opponents with even weightier causes”.

BJP, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah owe a deep sense of gratitude to Arun Jaitley. It is now reported that Amit Shah ‘cried’ when Jaitley lost the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat in 2014 general elections. Modi tried his ‘darndest’ for his friend to win, and then even when he lost, did not bat an eyelid in making his Finance Minister, having got him to Rajya Sabha, through Gujarat already. They formed a formidable team in devising strategies inside Parliament and outside and in the electoral arena.

As a nondescript tweet paid homage, “BJP and Modi/Shah owe it to Arun Jaitley’s legacy to re enact the National Judicial Appointments Commission, for as a student leader, politician, incarcerated during Indira Gandhi’s Emergency, supreme court lawyer, finance minister, law minister too, he had seen it all as to why NJAC’s time had come.” NJAC went for all the wrong reasons, as he put it eloquently in his Facebook post.

“The judgement ignores the larger Constitutional structure of India. Unquestionably, independence of the judiciary is part of the basic structure of the Constitution. It needs to be preserved. But the judgement ignores the fact that there are several other features of the Constitution, which comprise the basic structure. The most important basic structure of the Indian Constitution is parliamentary democracy. The next important basic structure of the Constitution is an elected government, which represents the will of the sovereign…. The law minister represents a key basic structure of the Constitution- the Council of Ministers, which is accountable to Parliament.

All these institutions, a parliamentary sovereignty, an elected government, the prime minister, the leader of the Opposition, the law minister are part of the Constitution’s basic structure. They represent the will of the people. The judgement has upheld the primacy of one basic structure- independence of the judiciary- but diminished five other basic structures of the Constitution, namely, a parliamentary democracy, an elected government, the Council of Ministers, an elected prime minister and an elected leader of the Opposition. This is the fundamental error on which the majority has fallen.

A Constitutional court, while interpreting the Constitution, had to base the judgement on Constitutional principles. There is no Constitutional principle that democracy and its institutions have to be saved from elected representatives. The Indian democracy cannot be a tyranny of the unelected and if the elected are undermined, democracy itself would be in danger. Are not institutions like the Election Commission and the CAG not credible enough even though they are appointed by elected governments?”

Yes, the NJAC may now be dear to the top court too, for it is its baby having given birth to it in a constitutional coup in Judges’ II case, led by Chief Justice J.S Verma. But the author himself regretted it later. And the Attorney, Fali S Nariman, who urged the Judges to consign Executive primacy to the dustbin of constitutional history, wrote in his autobiography, Before Memory Fades, “There is one important case decided by the Supreme Court of India in which I appeared and won, and which I have lived to regret it……it is the decision that goes by the title – Supreme Court Advocates on Record Vs the Union of India”. And it is not amusing to note that the same Fali S Nariman led the charge against NJAC and triumphed again. Some irony that!

Arun Jaitley was brutally frank and honest when he criticised the decision of 4:1. He reserved his strongest rebuke in describing the majority as constituting an ‘unelected tyranny’. Stronger epithets have rarely been used by one, who must know ‘having spent more time in Courts than in Parliament than in North/South Blocks’, as he blogged.

The recent episode on the transfer of Chief Justice of Madras High Court Ms.V K Tahilaramani to head the Meghalaya High Court has led to her resignation. She sought reconsideration which was declined. Despite the Oct 3,2017 proclamation by the Supreme Court Collegium to infuse Transparency in the Collegium System by ‘indicating reasons’ for their ‘decisions’, we were only told that the transfer was in keeping with ‘the best interests of administration of justicie’. Whatever that means. We have the spectacle of Hyderabad-Telengana Bar striking against the transfer of a Judge of their Court. That there is a systemic fault is evident. Such opaque decisions have added muscle to the need for NJAC 2.0. The Justices are unlikely to give up on the assumed power easily, having tasted it for more than two decades now, which even the Constitution did not contemplate. Time may yet be ripe for Modi 2.0 to come up with NJAC 2.0.

The ruling dispensation is now ideally placed to pay homage to Arun Jaitley with a new, refined, tweaked NJAC 2.0. May be, they can requisition the services of Fali S Nariman himself , to frame it the way the Judges may not see red rags where none exists. That would surely be a fitting tribute that Arun Jaitley himself would have loved to have.

Caste reservation is akin to Article 370, here is how

0

Caste reservation is akin to Article 370 and there are good enough reasons why I am saying so.

Article 370 prevented the integration of Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of India. Caste reservation is doing the same by preventing the integration of social communities and defeating the project of nationalism. Even Ambedkar had opined that reservation is anti-national.

Article 370 though a temporary provision was a holy cow. Any critical reference to it was blasphemy. Any talk of debate over it was sacrilege. The entire political spectrum, intelligentsia and the civil society were aware of the repercussions of Article 370 at how it was breeding separatism & religious fanaticism, thwarting development and driving a wedge in the amalgamation of the Kashmiri populace with the national mainstream but despite this, they adopted an ostrich-like approach. Minority vote bank concerns triumphed over national concerns. Much like Article 370, Caste reservation though a temporary provision has become permanently ingrained in our polity. No one wants to talk about the pernicious effect of reservation for fear of losing vote banks. Even a passing reference to it is met with huge uproar, hue & cry. Reservation is tearing apart the social fabric, fragmenting the polity, trampling down merit and engendering reverse discrimination but the civil society/politicians are maintaining a studied silence over this.

What benefits accrued to Kashmiris due to Article 370? How their lives improved due to Article 370? No discussions ever took place over this and the issue lingered on because no politician (till Amit Shah arrived on the scene) had any answers to it. The same case is with caste-based reservation. Despite more than 70 years of Dalit reservation and around 3 decades of OBC reservation, the government has not come out with a White Paper on the impact of reservation at redressing the socio-economic inequalities. With the passage of time and with the increased economic growth & democratization, it was expected that the volume of reservation would come down but just the reverse has happened. Even the judicially ordained ceiling of 50 per cent reservation has been breached in quite a few states due to crude caste politics and the clamour for reservation seems to be unending. This means there is something fundamentally wrong with the implementation of this reservation policy but politicians are busy hiding their heads in the sand. Even a constructive suggestion for a review of the reservation is enough to raise the temperatures as the RSS chief recently realized.

The attitudes of the Dalit/OBC politicians who are pro reservation are not different from the mainstream J&K politicians. PDP chief and NC chief dared the Union govt to abrogate Article 370 and even talked of secession and playing with fire if any attempt to sabotage Article 370 was undertaken. BSP, Ambedkarite Dalit organisations, RJD, SP, JD (U), Prakash Ambedkar, Udit raj, Kancha Illaih etc also talk of bloodbath and bringing the nation to a standstill if any attempt to tinker with reservation is made. And the most remarkable thing is that neither the Kashmiri mainstream politicians want to debate 370 nor the Bahujan politicians want to debate reservation. Both thrive on raising the bogey of fear and peddling lies and deceit.

J&K politicians pollute the minds of their constituencies by stating that once Article 370 was gone, Hindus would swamp J&K and the Muslims would be outnumbered. The very identity of Kashmir would be threatened. The social justice wala politicians inform their constituencies that once reservation was gone, India would be ruled by Manu Smriti and there would be no constitution. To buttress their points, they come up with all sorts of false narratives about historical atrocities and selective interpretation of adulterated Hindu scriptures. Dalit-Bahujan icons who never studied Sanskrit claimed mastery over the interpretation of Hindu religious texts. They saw India through a western prism.

The similarities don’t end at this. Article 370 benefitted just the Kashmiri mainstream politicians and the elite sections of the society leaving out the masses to fend for themselves and grovel in poverty or become stone pelters and breeding grounds for jihadis. Caste reservation just benefitted the elite sections of the Dalit/OBC population and the opportunistic Bahujan politicians and its benefits failed to percolate downwards to the bottom rungs of society. There is so much acrimony over any mention of reservation because the elite Dalits/OBCs want to perpetuate their domination over their less fortunate brethren and have become too selfish to think about national priorities. They know that people have now become educated enough to understand their narrow agendas. Their defence of caste reservation lacks conviction and logic and hence the shrillness in their voices.

Article 370 was a thorn for the unified national vision of RSS. And so…. It had to go. No amount of fear-mongering and doomsday prediction could save it. The same is the case with the caste reservation. Mandalites/Ambedkarites are defending reservation as if heavens would fall if caste reservation is dispensed with. It’s time to call their bluff and review reservation.

Protests against Article 370 failed to take off and the same will be the case if caste reservation is done away with provided law and order machinery does its work sincerely and the political parties do not incite people. A nation of 5000 years civilizational history can’t be held hostage to the whims and fancies of casteist ideologies. The people have already seen through the game plans of caste parties which are nothing but family bastions.

BJP will always be susceptible to caste politics; it may have found a way out of the caste quagmire by pitting one OBC group against the other and one Dalit community against the other for the time being but to say that its caste management policy will succeed for a long run is a bit preposterous. Caste will always pose a threat to the Hindutva project of the political unification of Hindus.

The BJP govt has already made a beginning to tackle the complex caste reservation conundrum. It has brought in amendments to include economic backwardness criteria apart from the already existing educational and social backwardness yardsticks for determining suitability for reservation and the outcome was 10 per cent EWS reservation which simply turned affirmative policy in India upside down. Time and again even the judiciary have advocated for moving away from the caste centric focus of reservation. Regional variations in caste and the social deepening of democracy have ensured that caste can’t be the sole determinant of backwardness. Many political experts feel that reservation can’t be given on economic backwardness grounds because the reservation is about representation and not poverty alleviation as was the intent behind Ambedkar-Gandhi Pune pact in 1931.

But then, what explains the rationale behind crores and crores of public money being pumped in SC/ST sectoral plans? What explains tuition fee waivers and various financial incentives given to Dalits in education? Why application fees are not charged from them? Scholarships and programme fees amounting to crores are being thrown at Dalits. The harsh reality is that taxpayers’ money is being splurged without any accountability and utility audit. Since Dalits and OBCs together constitute more than 70 per cent of the population, it does not mean they will do what they want.

Representation as per population is okay but what about their contribution in national taxes? The upper and the middle classes who contribute maximum to the national kitty can’t be silenced by people who want everything without contributing anything. Representation should also take into account your contribution to national taxes and not merely count the heads. The nation must debate whether public money should be spent on education and welfare of the very people who miss no opportunity of denigrating Hindu culture and gods-goddesses and threaten to convert to another religion if their demands are not met.

It’s high time civil society engages in the reservation debate that has been set into motion by the RSS chief. Article 370 culminated in the othering of Kashmiri Hindus and their persecution; it led to Islamic terrorism. Reservation has resulted in the othering of upper castes and rise of subaltern terrorism which is not averse to hitting the streets on even the slightest provocation and even in defiance to judicial pronouncements. This reservation cry is not about assertion or justice but it has nefarious designs to subdue the upper castes. If things are allowed to spiral out of control by vested interests, days may not be far when social hatred and divide would make the life of upper castes akin to Jews of erstwhile Nazi Germany.

Moreover, due to internal contradictions among the OBC and the Dalit communities, internal squabbles can’t be ruled out. OBCs and Dalits have never shared a cordial relation with each other since ages. The nation can’t afford to be converted into a social war zone. The ultimate loser will be the Hindu society and the nation. Just take a look at our history. We lost out not because the Muslim invaders or the Europeans were stronger than us but because we were not united.

The RSS chief deserves accolades for daring to speak on an issue on which every politician keeps silent.

The inevitable slowdown in Indian economy and the remedies

0

Feige (1994) defines Black Money activities as all activities that contributes to the official or observed calculation of the GDP but that are not properly registered.

Schneider and Enste (2000) define it as activities in themselves are legal, which create added value, but that are not taxed or registered and in which most can be classified as “black” or clandestine work.

Schneider (2007) says the shadow economy includes all the legal production of goods and services on a market basis that is deliberately concealed from public authorities.

All such definitions hold in no uncertain terms that shadow economic activity produce GDP. The underground economy can therefore be said to be beneficial in the sense that it adds to the economic growth numbers, as it caters largely and mostly to the demand for small urban service as well as small‐scale manufacturing. Further, a large informal sector/ shadow economy provides the economy with dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit and could lead to more competition and higher efficiency to a large majority. We also find that shadow economy harbours a huge employment force and these activities help in pumping and circulation of the black money further aiding consumption and investment. Now, the informal sector constitutes 75 percent of all Indian businesses, making this one of the largest informal economies in the world.

The shock of demonetization and the disruptive launch of a new tax regime, Goods and Services Tax (GST), soon after are still echoing in the Indian industry. The job losses that followed have, in turn, curbed consumption further and the economy is now caught in a vicious cycle. India’s economic growth dropped to a low of 5% in the April-June quarter of 2019-20. The growth rate is the slowest in 25 quarters and has been continuously decreasing  over the last 4 qrs. “A plunge in domestic private consumption demand, slump in manufacturing, halving of merchandise exports growth, and a high-base effect from last year have gnawed away at first-quarter growth,” CRISIL said in a report released recently.

A Bloomberg gauge of high-frequency indicators suggests that economic activity continued to weaken in July, with investment and consumption both falling. Economists at Nirmal Bang expect GDP growth to bottom out in the quarter ending September but believe that “a counter-cyclical government spending boost is required.”

The govt. started its ant- corruption drive with demonetization and has been continuing it sincerely with GST and other measures. All this has led to much contraction in the shadow economy and consequently impacted India’s economic growth adversely. Further, informal economy has reduced much and formal economic activity has not expanded enough to compensate for the contraction. The slowdown was therefore inevitable.

Unfortunately, in the formal sector too, domestic consumption demand is stagnant and investment especially in the private sector is not forthcoming. Export market is also not buoyant particularly for India’s product country matrix, although lower interest cost and depreciating Re should help somewhat. Hence, the real solution is encouraging investment in infrastructure and low cost/high-tech products particularly by foreign investors so that consumption gets stimulated and investment too goes up thereby expanding the economic activity in the formal economy. But FDI inflows will not be forthcoming as long as investors fear that the rupee is going to weaken. Therefore, the govt. must urgently make all efforts to stabilize the Re in the exchange market.

The ultimate solution seems to be to boost govt. spending, make the country more tax friendly (a rate cut in GST is an example), address the ills in the non-banking financial sector with speed, and create an environment that is entrepreneur and investor-friendly.

The govt. has initiated measures like the withdrawal of the bad taxes on capital gains and start-up funding. These and its attempts to encourage more retail credit flows and energize aggregate demand by front-loading bank recapitalization as well as the promised quick disbursal of tax refunds and vendor payments to the private sector, should help improve the economic sentiments.,

Contrasts between Savarkar and Nehru, how merciful the British were to Nehru & harsh to Savarkar

0

Recently, Congress workers garlanded the statue of Swatantryaveer Savarkar with shoes, and blackened it. They openly boasted this act, without the slightest fear of reprisal in the soon-to-come Assembly elections in Maharashtra in October 2019, where Savarkar is an icon.

On Twitter as well as in public, Congress workers & leaders and other leaders like one of RJD have called Swatantryaveer Savarkar (Meaning of it “Hero of Independence” Savarkar) a ‘coward’ and a ‘traitor’. [Mostly out of jealousy, and basic tendency to defame any opponent of Jawaharlal Nehru and the Congress Party.] They have purportedly given the reason as Savarkar writing petitions to the British while in jail in the Andamans, where he was incarcerated from 1911 to 1921. In reality, those petitions were a ‘strategic letter of ploy’ to get out of jail, for which Savarkar should be praised. Congress has a history of harassing Savarkar since 1910 when Jawaharlal Nehru refused to donate for Savarkar, according to an article by Shreerang Godbole in weekly Organiser in 2004. Read to know. We will see this in detail later too in another article.

Savarkar was a disciple of Shivaji. In 1666 in Agra in Aurangzeb’s captivity, Shivaji wrote such a letter to Aurangzeb to secure his release. Shivaji made many promises in that letter to Aurangzeb. But when he escaped these promises evaporated into thin air.

Congress should be pin-pointedly asked if it considers Shivaji a ‘traitor’ for writing such a letter to Aurangzeb in 1666. On Twitter, Congress workers were cornered when this writer raised this issue and pin-pointedly asked them why it was a ‘strategic letter of ploy’ when Shivaji did it, and ‘an act of treason and cowardice’ when Savarkar did it. Congress cannot dare to call Shivaji a ‘traitor’ and a ‘coward’ ever!

Of course, those petitions by Savarkar did not have any impact on the British who understood that they were his ploys to get out of jail. Savarkar did not believe in Satyagraha. Once in jail, all means fair and foul were justifiable to get out. If he was caught, he thought it correct to give any undertaking to secure his release, just like Shivaji did. Savarkar himself talked of these letters in his book “My Transporation” (Majhi Janmathep in Marathi) which is mentioned in Samagra Savarkar Wangmaya Vol 1, pp 448/620, 690. Savarkar wrote what talks he had with Sir Reginald Craddock in 1913, with members of Jail Commission, with the Governor about his release from Jail and what restrictions he would accept for his release from the Jail.

Congress’ allegation that Savarkar supported the two-nation theory is answered here. Savarkar himself answered this charge in his lifetime and clarified that he always opposed the Partition of India and was for a United India. Those of Italian origin who took 15 years after marriage to Rajiv Gandhi in 1968 to even apply for Indian citizenship have the audacity to insult National Heroes and fiery patriots like Savarkar! To know a little about Savarkar read.

However, now it is time to reveal some contrasts between how the British treated Jawaharlal Nehru, and how they treated the Savarkar brothers, not just Swatantryaveer Savarkar.

What kind of life Savarkar had to face in jail in the Andamans from 1911 to 1921? Here are a few notings:

(I) 6 months solitary confinement;
(II) Seven days standing handcuffs
(III) Absolutely refusing to work, ten days crossbar fetters imposed.
(Source material for a history of the freedom movement in India Vol. II,. Bombay Government publication: pp- 478/479)

How many top leaders of the Congress had to suffer such punishments? British kept Nehru and even Gandhi at times in palatial guest houses with all facilities.

How sympathetic were the British to Jawaharlal Nehru? Only a few of the many instances are given here.

Jawaharlal Nehru’s father Motilal died on February 6, 1931, in Lucknow, with Jawaharlal Nehru and Gandhiji at his bedside. How could Gandhi and Nehru be at his bedside? Because “On January 25th [1931] Viceroy, Lord Irwin, ordered the unconditional release of Gandhi and the members of the Congress Working Committee, including Nehru.” [Source: Frank Moraes- Jawaharlal Nehru, p 171. Frank Moraes’ biography of Nehru is considered very authentic.] That means that Lord Irwin ordered unconditional release of Nehru and Gandhi a few days before Motilal Nehru died. It is obvious that at least some of the leaders [like Jawaharlal Nehru] would have made the British a verbal request for this liberty to see Nehru’s ill father on his deathbed. The British were so kind to them as to release them unconditionally.

Frank Moraes writes on page 251 of the book Jawaharlal Nehru: “News of [Jawaharlal Nehru’s wife] Kamala’s health was bad and distressed him further, aggravating his sense of helplessness. In June 1934, Nehru had began writing his autobiography, partly to clear his own mental cobwebs by putting down his thoughts on paper, and partly to divert his mind from the depression which enveloped him…On the night of 11th August (1934) Jawaharlal Nehru was brought from Dehradun to Allahabad under police escort and there informed that he was to be released temporarily in order to see his ailing wife. He was to be at liberty for eleven days.

p 252 “Nehru had given the government no undertaking when he came out of jail, but he felt it would be improper to engage in political activities during the respite they had allowed him.”

p 255 “(After his 11 day respite was over) He was taken this time not to Dehradun but to Naini jail in Allahabad so as to be near his wife….For two weeks he received a daily bulletin from the doctors attending her, but then these ceased, although Kamala’s health was deteriorating….”

p 256 “A month after his rearrest [rearrest was on 23 August 1934] Jawaharlal was taken home for a brief visit to his wife….Early in October they took him out again to visit Kamala…It was decided to move Kamala to a sanatorium in the hills at a place called Bhowali. The day before she left, Nehru was again taken out of jail to pay her a fleeting visit.”

p 257 “Three weeks later Nehru was transferred from Naini [in Allahabad] to Almora prison so as to be nearer Kamala. Bhowali was on the way and Nehru stopping there en route, the improvement in Kamala’s health cheered him, lifting his heart…”

p 259 “After he had been a month in Almora jail, Nehru was taken to Bhowali to see Kamala and thereafter he was permitted to see her approximately once every third week until May 1935, when she left for Europe for treatment.”

Nehru’s wife, Kamala, went to Europe for treatment in May 1935. Frank Moraes writes: “On September 4, 1935, Nehru was suddenly discharged from Almora, five and half months before his term was to expire…[On 5 Sept] On the same afternoon he set out by Air for Europe…On the evening of September 9th, he reached Badenweiler” (in Germany). [ Jawaharlal Nehru, p 246.]

Obviously, all this happened on Nehru requesting the British for it (at least verbally).

No one grudges this sympathetic treatment to Nehru. One only wishes that people should know that the Savarkar brothers met their family members only once in 10 years in the Andamans. And in this meeting, Savarkar’s elder brother Babarao came to know that his wife had died earlier. [Watch this video, time 2:03:00 to 2:06:00] Nehru was released from jail months before his term was to end, and he was allowed to fly by plane to Europe in 1935 (in those days) to see his ill wife, by the British. But the British did not even inform either of the Savarkar brothers that the elder brother’s wife had died, not to talk of allowing them to visit her when ill, or even allowing a visit on parole after her death!

Nehru was kept in a palatial guest house in Almora. But so harsh were the British to Savarkar brothers, that they made them do the work of a bull of taking out oil from jail in Andamans.

The British also did not even inform for many months either of the Savarkar brothers that their other brother is also in the same jail in Andamans! Neither elder brother Babarao nor Swatantryaveer Savarkar knew for many months that their other brother is also in the same jail!

As against this, in 1934 Nehru’s jail was shifted by the British from Dehradun to Naini in Allahabad so as to be near Kamala (obviously as per his verbal request). Then when Kamala was sent to a place called Bhowali in the hills for better medical treatment, Nehru’s jail was against shifted from Naini in Allahabad to Almora, so as to be close to Kamala. After this, he was permitted to visit her once every three weeks on parole from November 1934 to May 1935, till the time Kamala left for Europe for treatment.

Leaving his jail term, Nehru asked British leniency to be with his ill wife. At one time in 1934 he got a parole for 2 days a week when his wife was in India and he went to visit her. He was sent her medical bulletins everyday in jail on the days he wasn’t on parole. He had daily newspapers to read in his jail where he was imprisoned. Of course, the contrasts with Savarkar brothers’ couldn’t be starker. No one sent them a bulletin of the health of the elder brother’s wife in jail.

Also, there was no concern by the British about the health of the wife of elder brother of Veer Savarkar i.e. Babarao Savarkar. She was not given treatment in Europe. Savarkar brothers’ jails were not changed so as to be near the wife of Babarao, and Babarao was not given parole very frequently to visit his wife. In case of Nehru, not only did he ask British for all this and get it, he got his own release from jail 5 and half months before his term ended, and permission by the British to fly by plane to visit ill wife in Europe. And Nehru was with her in Europe from September 1935 till her death in February 1936. Nehru returned to India in March 1936 after spending few days with 18-year old daughter Indira in Europe, after the death of Kamala.

Frank Moraes further writes: “Nehru had given the British Government no undertaking when he came out of jail, but he felt it would be improper to engage in political activities during the respite they had allowed him.” (p.238). The British Government was sure that he would not take part in politics and hence did not impose the condition. However, in Savarkar’s case, the Government imposed the condition that he should not engage in political activities. How could it trust a man who jumped the ship at Marseilles into the sea and swam to France in 1910?

Now how was Savarkar treated in jail in the Andamans? The following three excerpts show it:
(I) Bombay Government does not recommend any remission of the sentences passed upon Ganesh Damodar Savarkar [elder brother Babarao] and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. [p. 467]

(II) ‘Government of India agrees that the Savarkar brothers should not be released under the Royal Amnesty.’
This is dated 8th December 1919. [p. 469]

(III) ‘The Government of Bombay by their letter No. 1106/36, Home Department, dated 29th February 1921, informed the Government of India that the Governor in Council was not in favour of the transfer of the Savarkar brothers from Andamans to a jail in the Bombay Presidency, as that would lead to a recrudescence of agitation in their favour.’ (p.477-478, Source material for a history of the freedom movement in India, Bombay Government publication.)

They showed the Government’s worry and public sympathy for Savarkar in 1921, there was absolutely no impact of Savarkar’s petitions on the British, who understood them to be ‘strategic letters of ploy’. Still, Savarkar should be lauded for trying to beguile the British with those ‘ploys’.

The Congress first demanded full Independence (Poorna Swarajya) for India in December 1929, a full 44 years after its foundation. Its demand in the 1920s, till the 1929 Lahore Session was only dominion status for India.

And in its initial years, in the 1880s and 1890s, the Congress leaders openly stated the British Rule in India as the Providential Gift! It took the Congress many years (at least 20 years) to raise a strong foundation, though it was formed with merger of many regional conferences, unlike RSS which was founded from zero.

And yet, the Congress (which ceased to be same since 1969 when it became Congress (I) with a split in the party) has lied about true patriots i.e. RSS and hid its own record of its first 44 years, particularly, the first 22 years.

As late as 1911, the then Congress President Bishan Narayan Dar said in his Presidential address in the 1911 Congress session that the British rule was ‘still the greatest gift of Providence to my race’. (Source: “Pt Bishan Narayan Dar’s speeches and writings”, edited by H.L.Chaterjee, Lucknow 1921, Presidential address 307 of 1911).

This means that at a time when patriots like Savarkar fought British bullets jumping into the sea, called the 1857 revolt as a ‘War of Independence’, the Congress party was calling the British Rule in India as ‘God’s gift’!

Naturally, that is why this party (Congress) is very eager to discredit people like Swatantyraveer Savarkar, who fought for ‘Complete Political Independence for India’ and announced this as their goal as early as 1900 (when he was only 17 years old), since its own record of those years is like this. And of course, it will call Savarkar a traitor & a ‘coward’ since the acts of Congress’ First Family Founder Jawaharlal Nehru could fit in the category of the second, particularly in 1934-36 during the time of the illness and subsequent unfortunate death of his wife Kamala due to illness.

Swatantryaveer Savarkar died in 1966 and is not alive to refute the charges levelled by Rahul Gandhi, NSUI leaders and others. Some have tried to hold Savarkar guilty in the murder of Mahatma Gandhi despite the fact that Savarkar was acquitted ‘honourably and without blemish’ on 10 Feb 1949 and the Nehru Government dared not appeal against the acquittal. Savarkar was, of course, the byword of patriotism and courage, called so by Indira Gandhi herself. He had jumped into the sea from a ship from where he was being transported by the British at Marseilles in 1910 and swam to France braving bullets of the British Police, fighting death all along the way. [Watch this video from time 1:06:25 to 1:11:25]. Such a patriot, whose anti-British patriotic poems are still found very inspiring, motivating and emotional was called a ‘staunch supporter of British colonialism’ by The Wire, and a British stooge, a traitor and a coward by leaders of Congress, RJD, Left and others!

But karma has hit them back, and they have all suffered for what they did. The entire Left is today of 5 Lok Sabha MPs (3 of CPM, 2 of CPI) of which 4 won due to only DMK support in Tamil Nadu, RJD has zero Lok Sabha MPs, while the Congress has twice in a row failed to get enough seats to get the Leader of Opposition post. Congress is at its lowest in Maharashtra, with just 1 MP out of 48, in a state which was once its citadel.

Veer Savarkar has departed from this world in 1966 with his reputation unsullied. No amount of fake research and slander will tarnish it.
