जब पता चलता है कि फलाने का नौकरी करने वाला लड़का घर पर 10 दिनों के लिए आ रहा है तो उसे देखने के लिए लड़की वालों की लाइन लग जाती है। नौकरी कर रहा है तो लड़का सावला भी चलेगा उसके अंदर कुछ कमी हो तो उसको भी नजरअंदाज कर दिया जाएगा क्योंकि वह नौकरी कर रहा है।भागम भाग मचा है कोई दश लाख दे रहा है तो कोई पंद्रह लाख. लग रहा है कि विवाह नहीं हो रहा है बल्कि लड़के को खरीदने के लिए नीलामी हो रही है। कुछ लड़के चपरासी की नौकरी कर रहे हैं जिनकी उम्र 35 के पार है फिर भी वह अपने आप को एक महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति मान रहे हैं क्योंकि वे अभी अविवाहित हैं।
ऐसी परिस्थितियों में हम देख रहे हैं कि लड़की की सहमति महत्व नहीं रखती है।सब लोग लड़के से ही पूछते हैं कि लड़की पसंद है कि नहीं।लड़की लड़के को पसंद करती है कि नहीं करती है इस बारे में उसके विचारों का कोई ध्यान नहीं।घरवालों को लगता है कि केवल नौकरी वाला लड़का खोज देने से सब कुछ ठीक होगा। इसी कारण हमारे व्हाट्सएप पर कभी-कभी कालिया और आलिया की जोड़ी वाले फोटो आते रहते हैं जो विशेष चर्चा का विषय बने रहते हैं और कुरूप किंतु सरकारी नौकरी करने वाले लड़कों के महत्व को उजागर करते रहते हैं।
यदि आप बाला है किंतु सरकारी नौकरी आपके पास है तो बाली उम्र वाली कन्याओं के बारे में सोचने का आपको पूर्ण अधिकार है। मुझे लगता है कि यदि आयुष्मान खुराना के पास बाला फिल्म में सरकारी नौकरी होती तो उसे बाल उगाने के चक्कर में इतना परेशान होने की आवश्यकता ही नहीं पड़ती। तो कहीं ना कहीं हम देखते हैं कि सरकारी नौकरी के कारण बेमेल जोड़ियां भी बन रही हैं।यदि आप प्राइवेट नौकरी कर रहे हैं और ₹30000 प्रति महीना कमा रहे हैं और दूसरी तरफ एक व्यक्ति सरकारी नौकरी कर रहा है और वह ₹20000 प्रति महीना कमा रहा है तो इस स्थिति में सरकारी नौकरी वाले की ज्यादा डिमांड रहेगी। सरकारी नौकरी का ही दुष्परिणाम है कि परियों को भुजंगो का आलिंगन करना पड़ता है।
यूपीएससी के इंटरव्यू में भी अभ्यर्थी इतना नहीं डरते जितना विवाह के समय वर पक्ष द्वारा पूछे गए प्रश्नों से लड़की सहम जाती है। सब कुछ ठीक भी रहा तब भी लड़के की फूआ और मामा विलेन बन जाते हैं।लड़की को रिजेक्ट होने का सबसे ज्यादा डर इन्हीं दोनों लोगों से रहता है। यही दो नाम है जो विवाह के दौरान अपनी नाराजगी अवश्य जाहिर करते हैं। किसी अनुभवी व्यक्ति ने मुझसे कहा था कि वह शादी ही क्या जिसमें बुआ ना रूठे।
हर बार जब लड़के वाले लड़की को देखने आते हैं तो लड़की के घरवाले ईश्वर से यही इच्छा करते हैं कि इस बार शादी लग जाए।क्योंकि बार-बार अनजाने लोगों द्वारा लड़की के रूप, रंग, गुण और लंबाई आदि का परीक्षण किया जाता है जो लड़की के लिए अपमान की बात होती हैंऔर जब तक विवाह हो नहीं जाता तब तक उसका यह अपमान लगातार जारी रहता है।कुछ माता-पिता को यह बात समझ में भी नहीं आती क्योंकि कई बार जब कहा जाता है कि लड़की का फोटो भेज दीजिए तो भी कहते हैं कि चल कर देख लीजिए।लड़की देख कर जाते समय जब लड़के वाले कहते हैं कि घर जाकर बताएंगेऔर जाकर वहां से ना का संदेश आता है तो लड़की वालों का दिल टूट जाता है। कई बार रिजेक्ट होने के कारण कई लड़कियां मानसिक रूप से बेचैन भी हो जाती हैं।
हमारे यहां की व्यवस्था भी अजीब है जिसे जानते हैं उससे विवाह के लिए मना किया जाता है तथा जिसको जानते ही नहीं हैं उससे जीवन भर के लिए विवाह के बंधन में बांध दिया जाता है।मुझे समझ में ही नहीं आता कि किसी व्यक्ति को 1 दिन देखने मात्र से हम यह निर्णय कैसे ले सकते हैं और वह भी इतना बड़ा निर्णय।
दूसरी तरफ कुछ ऐसे भी माता-पिता हैं जिन्हें इस बात से फर्क नहीं पड़ता है कि उनकी बेटी की शादी जहां हो रही है वहां पर लड़के की आर्थिक स्थिति कैसी है किसी भी तरीके से वे लड़की को विदा कर देना चाहते हैं। यदि किसी व्यक्ति के पास एक लड़का और एक लड़की हैं और उनके पास 2 बीघे खेत हैं तो यदि नियम से देखा जाए तो एक बीघे खेत पर लड़की का भी अधिकार है अतः यदि उसके पिता की आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी नहीं है तो भूमि का कुछ अंश बेच कर वह अपनी लड़की को ऐसे जगह भेज सकता है जहां उसे जीवन यापन में कोई समस्या ना आए। लेकिन कुछ लोग अपने पुत्र मोह में पुत्री का विवाह ऐसे जगह कर देते हैं जहां वह जीवन भर कष्ट पाती है।
जैसा कि हम जानते हैं हिंदू धर्म में विवाह को एक संस्कार माना जाता है। लेकिन यह संस्कार से अब समझौते की तरफ तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। विवाह की प्रक्रिया को देखकर लगता ही नहीं कि यह एक संस्कार रह चुका है। विवाह के दौरान इतनी सौदेबाजी होती है कि यह पूर्ण रूप से एक समझौता बन चुका है। 100 दुर्जनों के बीच एक सज्जन को भी दुर्जन ही माना जाता है। यदि आप विवाह में दहेज नहीं लेंगे तो भी लोग आप पर शंका करेंगे कि लड़के के अंदर कुछ कमी है इसी कारण वह दहेज नहीं ले रहा है।
कुल मिला जुला कर इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में ऐसे लड़कियों की दुर्दशा हो रही है जिनके माता-पिता की आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी नहीं है। दहेज ना देने के कारण उनका विवाह गरीब घरों में हो जाता है और वे जीवन भर कष्ट भोगने के लिए बाध्य कर दी जाती हैं।
वैसे तो भारतीय सभ्यता को आघात पहुंचाने में बॉलीवुड तो पहले से ही था लेकिन इस मामले में वेब सीरीज ने बॉलीवुड को भी पिछे छोड़ दिया है। सिनेमा वाले जो असभ्यता और अश्लीलता थियेटरो में नहीं दिखा सकते उन्हें वेब सीरीज के माध्यम से आज के युवा तक उनके मोबाइल के माध्यम से पहुंचा देते हैं। आज आप जितने भी वेब सीरीज देख लो अधिकतर या कहे एक दो को छोड़कर बाकि सभी वामपंथ विचारधारा को आगे बढ़ाने वाले ही मिलेंगे जो या तो राष्ट्रविरोधी होती हैं या हिन्दूफोबीक वैसे राष्ट्रविरोधी और हिन्दूफोबीक में कुछ खास अंतर नहीं हैं।
वेब सीरीज के माध्यम से हमे सनी लियोनी जैसो की जीवनी दिखाया जाता हैं क्या वो छत्रपति संभाजी महाराज, गुरू तेग़ बहादूर या भगवान बिरसा मुंडा जी या उनके जैसे महान महापुरूषो का जीवनी नहीं दिखा सकते?
आप अभी एकता कपूर की XXX सीरीज को ही देख ले ये एक सेमी पोर्न सीरीज तो है ही लेकिन इसके दूसरे सीजन मे तो भारतीय सेना का, उनकी पत्नी की और उनके वर्दी का अपमान किया गया जो कोई नया बात नहीं हैं अब घुल को ही देख लिजिए जिसमे एक ऐसी भविष्य की कल्पना की गई हैं जहाँ के शासन राष्ट्रवादी लोगो के हाथो में हैं और जिसके सेना का हर एक सैनिक बहुत कूर्र हैं और निर्दोष अल्पसंख्यको पर अत्याचार करते हैं या द फैमिली मैन की बात करे जिसमें आतंकवाद को सही साबित करने कि कोशिश यह दिखाकर की गई की उस आतंकवादी का परिवार गुजरात दंगो में मारा गया इसीलिए वो ISIS में शामिल हुआ अब इस तर्क पर आए तो कोई भी कश्मीरी पंडीत आतंकवादी क्यो नहीं बना?
एक वेब सीरीज आई थी बैताल जिसमें ये बताने की कोशिश की गई की भारतीय आर्धसैनिक बल निर्दोष आदिवासियों को नक्सली बता कर उनकी हत्या करके पूरे गाँव को जला देते हैं जबकि सच्चाई सबको पता हैं कि कैसे नक्सली देश के सुदूरवर्ती ईलाको मे विकास को पहुँचने नहीं देते और कैसे हमारे पुलिस और आर्धसैनिक बल के जवानो पर हमला करते रहते हैं इस वेब सीरीज में ये भी बताया गया की आर्धसैनिक बल ये कार्रवाई वहाँ के पुलिस को बिना बताए आधुनिक हथियार के साथ करती हैं जबकि असलियत में ये कार्रवाई हमेशा पुलिस के सहयोग की साथ होती हैं और नाइट वीजन कैमरा जैसे आधुनिक हथियार सिर्फ सेना के पास होती हैं आर्धसैनिक बलो के पास नहीं।
अब बात करते हैं पताल लोक के बारे में ये सीरिज पूरी तरह से हिन्दूफोबीया से भरा पड़ा हो चाहे पंडित जी को मंदीर में मांस खाते हुए दिखाना हो या गौ मांस के ऊपर होने वाली लिंचिंग को दिखाना। अब आप ही बताए पंडीत जी को मांस खाते हुए दिखाना क्या जरूरी था? और लिंचिंग की जैसी घटना दिखाई गई वैसी घटना असली में रेलगाडी की सीट के लिए हुई थी न की गौ मांस के लिए। ऐसी हिन्दूफोबीक सीन तो पुरी वेब सीरीज में एक के बाद एक मिलती जाएगी।
सेकरेड गेम्स जो की भारत की पहली वेब सीरीज थी वो भी हिन्दूफोबीया से भरी हुई थी उसके पहले सीजन के शुरूआती एपीसोड में ही ये डायलोग है की भगवान को L फर्क नहीं पड़ता जो कि काफी अपमानजनक हैं इसमे ये भी बताया गया की रामायण के कारण ही सबसे ज्यादा दंगे हुए हैं इस सीरिज में एक जवान मुस्लिम लड़के का फेक एनकाउंटर भी दिखाया गया हैं। इस सीरिज के दुसरे सीजन में तो हद ही हो गई जिसमें ये बताया गया की भारत ही नहीं पूरे विश्व में जहा भी आतंकवादी संगठन हैं उनकी वत्त पोषण एक हिन्दू संत की आश्रम से की जाती हैं जी हाँ आपने सही सुना इससे एक तरह से जिहादियो को क्लीन चिट दे दिया और तो और उन्होने ये भी बताया की उसी आश्रम ने ISI को परमाणु हमला करने का विचार दिया और यही आश्रम के लोग ISI के साथ मिलकर बम भी बनाते हैं इसमे यह भी दिखाया गया है कि एक आतंकी के भाई की मोब लिंचिंग हुई थी जिसकारण वो आतंकी बना मतलब कुछ भी।
लिला भी एक और हिन्दूफोबीक वेब सीरीज का उदाहरण हैं जिसमे एक काल्पनिक हिन्दू राष्ट्र आर्यवर्त के भविष्य की कल्पना की गई हैं और जिसमे अल्पसंख्यको और दलितो के ऊपर बहुत अत्याचार होते दिखाया गया है यहाँ तक उनके रहने के स्थान भी एक दीवार के उसपार हैं जहाँ किसी प्रकार की कोई सुविधा नहीं और दलितो को स्वर्ण के साथ पानी पीने तक का अधिकार नहीं है इस सीरिज में देशभक्त लोगो को कूर्र और खलनायक के तौर पर दिखाया गया है जबकि ऐसा इस्लामीक देश में होता हैं जहां सरिया कानून चलता हो। मस्तराम एक ऐसा सीरीज हैं जिसको पोर्न सीरीज कहना भी गलत नहीं होगा और जिसका हर एक ऐपिसोड अश्लीलता फैलाती हैं मगर सोचने वाली बात यह हैं की इसमे भी भगवान श्री राम के नाम का उपयोग क्यो किया गया वो दुसरा नाम भी रख सकते थे लेकिन उन्हें हिन्दूओ के भावना को आहात जो करनी थी। गंदी बात भी एक ऐसा सीरीज हैं जो अश्लीलता फैलाती हैं।
उपरोक्त उदाहरणो से हम समझ सकते हैं कि किस तरह ये वेब सीरीज हमारे समाज के लिए घातक हैं और हमारे युवा पीढ़ी को किस दिशा के ओर ले जा रही हैं सेंसर नही होने का पूरा लाभ ये वेब सीरीज वाले उठा रहे हैं।
2020 has been a difficult year for people across the globe. We were hit with a global pandemic and then came natural disasters. As recent as yesterday, the hot topic is the “peaceful protests” in America. Having seen a whole wide view as an outsider and having seen how the left has been hijacking social movements to push their agenda, I was left to think about these very harmful biases that are very much existent in our society.
But an even more apt aspect of the issue has been how the media has been aiding and abetting these radical leftists by whitewashing their crimes through victimization. Amidst this, a friend of mine, suggested I watch Hoaxed, an American documentary on fake news by Mike Cernovich, an independent journalist. At the end of it, I was left wondering about this rot that similarly exists in the Indian media scenario. Though spoken against over and over, and pinpointed by independent and unbiased media platforms, the perpetrators of fake news roam untouched and unapologetic. It was hence necessary to pull out a chronology or at least establish an origin to the hate that we see today.
Although in the US, fake news is said to have originated during World War I with a committee being formed to influence public thoughts by the government, that is not the case in India. The first newspaper was the Bengal Gazzette started by James Hickey. Up until the freedom struggle gained traction, newspapers mostly published in British interest. The onslaught of independence movement brought journalists and national interests together. During this time, journalists used it to further the freedom struggle in national interest, which if happened today, would be termed as toxic nationalism. However, things changed after independence.
Under Congress rule, press was more or less controlled in terms of content. This is evident in the case of the 1962 India China war of which reports were declassified only in 2014. The journalist, Neville Maxwell, in the declassified reports put the blame on Nehru, the then Prime Minister for being on the offensive front. During this time, multiple press organizations were established which increased competition. When there no longer existed a common social issue to combat or an common oppressor to fight against, media saw decreased business. According to (Desai, 2011) post emergency media has largely been corporate driven. This is where the modern day journalism sees its origins.
The world has seen violence induced due to mindless media reports and so has India. The most noticeable of all media incited violence may be the three incidents of 1947 Jabalpur riots, the 1969 Gujarat riots and later the 1980 Moradabad riots. Media misreporting and fake news has not always been against Hindus. Reporting based on rumors and hearsay cost many Muslim lives earlier and incited communal violence in all three of the above mentioned cases. The Mandwi massacre in Tripura in the year 1980 is an example of ignorance and media bias. A journalist and local (Subir Bhaumik), alleged that one sided news reporting was done on the issue. The reports were manipulated to show only the anti-non tribal riot while the sufferings of the majority community at their hands was conveniently ignored. The mainstream media refuses to side with the local population for their fight against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. The ignorance runs even today as the NE government’s support for NRC has been condemned in popular media reports suggesting it as a potential tool for anti-immigrant riots.
Another popular example that occurred shortly after, was that of the 1984 Sikh massacre endorsed by the Gandhi dynasty. Much prior to the event, the coverage of Operation Blue star by the media was carried out such that the entire Sikh community was held responsible (Ahmed, 2010). Neither in popular media now, nor at the time did the blame fall of those who started it. The killing of Indira Gandhi resulted in media showcasing the entire Sikh community as villains followed by the very unnecessary validation by Rajiv Gandhi. This worsened the situation and ended up killing an estimated 3000 Sikhs in the violence that followed. 1984 had yet another big breaking story: the Bhopal gas tragedy. Here, although unlike other cases, the result wasn’t mob violence or riots but rather silence; silence that would last for years. Under the Congress leadership, local media remained mum about the political failures that led to the incident while international media let loose Union carbide stating India’s lack of safety standards (Livemint, 2014). Though millions of dollars worth funds were provided for the cause of the victims of the tragedy, to this very day, they seek justice. Yet another case human misinterpretation of media that has lead to violence is that of Karnataka in 1986. “Mohammad the Idiot” was a short story published a decade earlier in Kerala. But when it was republished in Herald in Karnataka, things didn’t go well. Local Muslim leaders misinformed the public gathered in mosques that the story pokes fun at their prophet and send the mob into a frenzy. The following riots saw the killing of 15 civilians while 1 rioter was shot dead by the police, and another 50 were left injured as a result.
In 1992, there was a dramatic shift in the media scenario. With the liberalization of media and opening up of cable services, foreign media found its foothold in Indian journalism. 1992 also marked the beginning of modern day Hinduphobia with the Babri Masjid demolition. And then came 1999 and brought along with it, journalism driven by agenda and its kick-starter, Barkha Dutt of Star News. After all the blunder regarding the Tiger Hill war coverage was done, never once did she apologize for the mistakes. Which kind of brings us to think whether anything can be passed off as news if you’re a journalist? Seems like it. Although, it should have been the Star news highlighted in popular media, whenever media gaffes in war coverage is talked about, reality says otherwise. Any article you read currently, regarding reporting during Kargil war throws blame on the reporters and channels for evoking nationalism in the common population while demonizing Pakistan. Kargil war also points out the international bias against India. In a book written by Francois Gautier in 2001, he says that BBC reported against Indian sentiments and that its left leaning bias couldn’t be more clear. He also adds that NGO’s, western press and human rights groups in India have been manipulating Indian opinion and that Indian media is the biggest enemy of the country influenced by communists, Muslims, christian missionaries and Congress for vote bank politics. Although written in 2001, it is a matter of shame that the scenario still remains the same. Later in 2001, the Kutch earthquake demanded utmost attention. This can be seen as a turning point in the beginning of an anti-Modi narrative as many liberal media sees it as a point in the rise in PM Modi’s popularity and political career.
2002 was a horrifying year, but it’s also the year that the media decided to tarnish the image of a rising politician for decades. International as well as regional media was unstoppable regarding their coverage of the riots. Although one must question as to where did all the fervor go when it came to reporting about the Godhra train burning that started off the entire riot. Several media has several versions to report on this issue. Likes of The Guardian and The Telegraph reported that a skirmish started by Hindus led to Muslims burning the stopped train, while according to ZeeTV report, eyewitnesses have seen the train, after being stopped with the alarm chain from inside, being stoned and lit from the outside. The media was fast enough to call the event as being a state sponsored violence against a particular community while the then CM Modi and the Gujarat govt was declared anti-Muslim by popular media. A hounding example and an fateful victim of this had been Maya Kodnani. In the immediate aftermath of the Gujarat riots, NGO’s and left leaning media assisted by the power thirsty UPA government created havoc leading to relaxation of rules regarding filing of FIR’s. As a result of this, in 2008, after a long term of 6 years of the occurring, Maya Kodnani among several BJP politicians were listed in several FIR’s. It is alleged, according to Swarajya Mag, that NGO’s at the time bulk printed complaints to be filed and asked names to be put on by complainants as per their wish. As if Zakia’s direct accusation of the CM wasn’t enough, several baseless cases were formed. It isn’t coincidental that all this happened while Congress was enjoying its second term win at the center. When finally the witnesses who were tidied up by likes of Setalvad, couldn’t stand valid in the court, the case collapsed and Maya Kodnani was acquitted. But as expected, main stream media like NDTV came up with “Amit Shah bails out Kodnani” kind of stories linking it altogether to BJP. A bogus case just like that of Col. Purohit and Ishrat Jahan was blown out of proportions to aid their narrative, all the while forgetting that it was the Modi government in the first place that suggested a death penalty for Kodnani upon her conviction.
Contrasting stands can be found on part of the media and the left liberal ecosystem to prove their hypocrisy. Media agitation against the majority has not been recent. During the 2002 riots, Editors Guild and several mainstream media houses condemned the Sandesh‘s biased news coverage in favor of Hindus. But what happened to these flagbearers of ethical journalism post 2014? In 1985, 1968, 1987, the selective reporting of Hindu-Muslim issues were highlighted by several studies. Newspapers at the time were criticized for not reporting the names of Muslim victims and only highlighting the names if the victims were Hindu. It is only reasonable that this must be called out. However, when NDTV censors out names of Hindu victims and the likes of The Hindu replaces perpetrator names so as to make Hindus look like the villains, why isn’t the ecosystem calling this out? PUCL (People’s Union of Civil Liberties) in 2002 called out a newspaper for the headline, “70 Hindus burnt alive in Godhra” (Cole, 2006), which is not even half as sinister as the headlines being run by the leftist media in the current times. When Congress MP Ehsan Jafri was cut limb by limb by the agitated mob, media couldn’t shut up about it and shouldn’t as well. But the same so called unbiased media was eerily silent when the same was done to IB officer Ankit Sharma and Dilwar Singh in the 2020 Delhi riots by Tahir Hussain aided by Khalid Saifi and Umar Khalid. Not only were the media fast enough to point out “police brutality” but also whitewashed Saifi’s actions by accusing the police of brutality against an “activist”. Moreover, the entire anti-Hindu Delhi riot was carefully painted out to be an anti-Muslim pogrom by the leftist media both nationally and internationally. They hounded PM Modi for years and continue to do so but despite the gruesome violence and loss of lives in the Delhi riots, Arvind Kejriwal remains the “model politician” (even despite all his links to all major hate mongers in the recent times: Amanatullah Khan, Khalid Saifi, Tahir Hussain and the list goes on). Anti-majority stand have been popular not just in India but also worldwide-CNN, NYT, QZ, WP have all been accused of continuous minority appeasement. It is no different in India with increasing number of news portals against right wing politics and activists.
Upon many bad that the corona has brought, there lies one good thing ie. e-diplomacy, which is creating a major impact in the world of diplomacy and relations among countries.
Since the pandemic had spread affecting the whole world a new way for diplomacy has developed among countries. One of such is the SAARC summit that was initiated by PM Modi, to make a collective effort to tackle the pandemic. We have also seen the India-Australia, the G20 and the WHO taking the same initiative of virtual summit rather than the usual traditional old diplomacy.
The arising of e-diplomacy provides an advantages in terms of safety, which is the most prioritized concern in any diplomatic meeting. It also drastically declines the cost in terms of travelling and organizing such events. Thirdly it brings the extra time consumption, which can be utilized in other public welfare programs.
But the traditional diplomacy has always been a more impactful as it creates a physical relationship among the nations, these also helps in overcoming bitter relations when some crises occurs. Taking an example of President Donald Trump visits to India which helped in creating of better ties and also has an impact on the public opinion. In most of the cases traditional diplomacy helps in giving out a substantial results.
Whereas e-diplomacy lacks in getting high profile events and it outcomes is always in doubt.Also the biggest concern in e-diplomacy is the cyber security, where no guarantee can be provided on it confidentiality. Virtual meeting is always in danger of cyber attacks. But in these pandemic it is only the way out to carry on diplomacy. It is high time that real Indian history is propped up via Social media.The likes of Mughal Empire and sultanates are glorified,but little do people know that world’s first universities Nalanda and Taxila were erased because they gave spiritual insights and knowledge that the Religious Frenzy never could understand and shariath opposed.

Kashmir has been in the news mostly for the wrong reasons.Termed as ‘heaven on earth’ by Mughal emperor Jehangir, Kashmir has now become a hot-bed for anti-national activities.
At the time of partition, Kashmir then ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh signed the Instrument of Accession which concluded that Kashmir is an intergral part of India. A special status was given to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Article 370 in our constitution. Although our bitter neighbours claim it as theirs. The Kashmir issue has become a global debate over the misconceptions of the atrocities faced by muslims in Kashmir.
For the liberal world, India is torturing Kashmiri people which include mainly Muslims, forgetting the land actually belonged to the Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus who used to live their. The leftist-liberal gang couldn’t see the atrocities faced by Hindus there everyday, living under the threat of Islamic terror groups and Kashmir liberation groups. There are so many incidents where the left leaning media channels simply don’t bother to cover the atrocities faced by Hindus in the valley simply because minority coverage would benefit their ratings and TRP. The dimesion of psuedo-secularism we live in is undermining the majority and takes them for granted, and the best example is the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

For the most recent issues to take into account, the government introduced the new domicile law which allows the Kashmiri Pandits to resettle in the valley. Several Islamic terror groups threatened the Pandits to not come back, else face the consequences. This is the state of secularism in our country, Kashmir now a union territory and the revocation of the special status, the FUNDAMENTAL right to reside in any part of the country applies here too. No single media coverage was given to this incident .
Another incident to take into account is the killing of Ajay Pandita, who dared to believe in the grassroots of democracy, who did nothing wrong but believe in the system. The 40 year old was a Sarpanch of Lukbawan, Larkipora. The local police confirmed the development regarding this issue. Horrible killing of a Kashmiri Pandit wanted to get elected as Sarpanch of Anantang is yet again a reminder of frustration and desperation of Pakistani sponsored terrorism in the valley. Yet again, minimal coverage by the media regarding this issu . Had this been a Maulana or a priest killed by some Hindu it would’ve made the headlines.

The International Cricket Council i.e. the ICC has taken a major decision because of the Coronavirus epidemic. To make up for the losses suffered by the ICC member countries due to COVID 19, the apex body of cricket has said that now teams can use ‘front of shirt sponsors’ in Test cricket as well. This means that a big logo can also be put on the white jersey of Test cricket.
For the next 12 months, teams can increase income by putting a maximum 32 square inch logo on a Test cricket jersey. Till now ICC allowed putting such a big logo on the T-shirts of One Day and T20. Although three logos can still be placed on the jersey of Test cricket, these logos are quite small, mounted on both arms and one chest.
This decision of the ICC is a means of boosting the earnings of the Cricket Board because the cricket playing nations have suffered a lot due to the COVID 19 epidemic. According to UK newspaper Daily Mail, the England team can donate the proceeds of this new sponsorship to the country’s COVID 19 Health Service Fund. The England team has to participate in the first series after the Coronavirus, which is to be against the West Indies.

When UPA was in power and everybody was getting used to hearing about new scams everyday, Anna Hazare’s movement looked like a ray of hope in a system where everybody is corrupt. At last when the movement ended and “Aam aadmi party” was formed with some great utopian promises, not just Delhites but every citizen was happy. We all dreamed that finally we have a leader who is educated, knows system from inside and going to fight the corruption which not only have put money in the politician’s pocket but also have crippled the dreams of young talented youth of India. Kejriwal emerged from that movement with an image of honest politician almost like Anil Kapoor’s character from the Nayak movie, who is determined to keep corruption and criminals away from politics.
Right from that moment everybody who voted for Arvind Kejriwal wanted to end the corruption but a lot of things have changed since his first term in 2013 which lasted for only 49 days. Lets us look at some promises made by Kejriwal when he formed Aam Aadmi Party. From the first day itself, Kejriwal made it very clear that no criminal will get a ticket from his party, he along will Manish Sisodia made promises to check background of all party member. AAP was formed to fight entry of criminals in politics but same party has topped the list of parties with most criminals getting tickets in 2020 Delhi election. Out of 70, 36 candidates of AAP have serious criminals cases against them which is far greater than the rival parties BJP and INC.
Next is corruption, AAP promised to fight it and it was the basis of its formation. As on date, tankers mafia is still active in Delhi, even AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal has been caught taking bribes of 60 lakh every month from tanker mafia. Mohalla clinics also have serious allegations regarding recruitment and use of funds. Lot of clinics never worked for a single day in entire term of Aam Aadmi party. A chief minister who paid a bill of over 1 crore just for Chai samosa in a year cannot claim to be honest. Kejriwal promised to end luxuries enjoyed by ministers funded by taxpayers money. He himself refused to avail Sarkari bunglow and car but after election he requested for not just one but two adjacent bunglows. Now he lives in a plush 9000 square feet VVIP bunglow.

He spent huge sums of money on renovation of bunglows and is paying electricity bills in lakhs of 30 ACs running in his residence with government funds. The man who refused to avail car before election now rides in a fortuner.

Before elections, kejriwal always carried a list in every press conference of corrupt politicians with claims that he have proofs against them but as we all know after elections he had asked for forgiveness in court from a lot of politicians whose names were on that list after they filed defamation cases. the politicians once he claimed as corrupt, now he is ready to form coalitions with them. Once he used to target other parties over advertisement expenditure, now his party is at forefront of advertisement campaign. Delhi Government ads can be seen published in newspapers in other states also.

In 2012 on national television, kejriwal declared all other political parties as corrupt and promised not to form any coalition government in any circumstances. The kejriwal of 2012 was ready to be in opposition rather than forming coalition government. But as of 2020, kejriwal is ready to form coalition with any political party including UPA whom he fought tooth and nail & formed AAP to fight them, just to get a chance to defeat BJP. Ironically, once his list of corrupt of politicians had Rahul Gandhi’s name on top with whom is ready for an alliance.

At last I can say that Kejriwal of 2012 seemed like honest, educated and promising future leader but kejriwal of 2020 is just like every other leader. He became like all others whom he promised to fight. I hope he looks back on old promises and get back on the path to fulfill them.
With the election of Donald Trump as president, he has been advocating AMERICA FIRST policy, under which imported goods, especially from China, are facing increased tariffs. It would reduce USA trade deficit with China of 450 billion $ and promote domestic manufacturing. Banning of Huwaei 5G technology, expulsion of Chinese journalists, etc. shows a emerging cold war between USA and China.
Some commentators argue that this is a short-sighted measure by USA and would be relaxed through negotiations with China, as seen in recent Phase 1 trade deal between the two countries.
However, This is not true because there is an inherent contradiction between the strategic objectives of the two countries. USA is the world’s largest economy with GDP of 21 trillion $ but growing at 2% per annum only. On the other hand, China is the second largest economy with GDP of 16 trillion $ and growing at 6% per annum. So, China’s GDP will surpass that of USA in a decade. Thus, both USA and China realise that USA global dominance presently is and would be challenged by China inevitably. China has been taking initiatives in this direction through creation of OBOR, which focuses on infrastructural creation in Asia, Africa and European countries, akin to Marshall Plan of USA.
Further, international organizations like World Bank and IMF are being challenged by AIIB bank, BRICS bank, etc. Though USA and China should collaborate together due to greater interdependence on economic issues and Trump indeed tried to do so with China, through his first foreign visit to China, but global competition and conflict for the most powerful country is inevitable, because this decides the global currency dominance (dollar or Yen), control of global institutions like UN, WTO, WHO, etc. So, the world is getting entangled in an emerging cold war, which may affect India’s interests.
After Independence, India adopted the non-alignment policy during the USA-USSR cold war period, and later allied with the Soviet Union since 1971, which was a loosing side. On the other hand, communist China allied with democratic America against communist USSR and saw rapid economic development through transfer of capital, technology and intellectual property, while India lagged behind.
However, in the emerging cold war, India has abandoned the idealist non-alignment policy and has supported the stronger power USA through QUAD, LEMOA, CISMOA, defence partnerships, etc. This will increase economic, strategic and defence cooperation between the USA and its allies with India.
Further, India has laid the groundwork for economic development as shown in the last article. Therefore, with trade barriers and sanctions by USA against China, the western companies located in China would be pushed to look for better alternatives. India fits perfectly in their considerations due to political stability, large market, cheap labour, transparent policies, etc.
Some critics may argue that India may not be the natural attraction for these companies, due to competition with Bangladesh, Vietnam, South East Asia, etc.. Yes, these countries do offer a low cost advantage, but they have a smaller market, smaller workforce and political instability, unlike India. Thus, for a long term trade and investment, India would be the natural choice for countries.
Further, the current COVID 19 pandemic, has demonstrated to the world at large, and businesses in particular, that China is governed by secrecy, absence of rule of law, limited property rights, lack of independent judiciary and lack of democracy. On other hand, the success of India is handling the COVID crisis highlights the state capacity to deal with disasters, while upholding democracy, rule of law, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of press and independent judiciary for contract enforcement. This sharp contrast will also be noted by the businesses, especially MNCs, who are looking for alternatives.
The recent Chinese aggressiveness by tightening its control over Hong Kong also has brought greater American sanctions on businesses located in Hong Kong. Since Hong Kong is a financial hub for China, so the exodus of financial institutions would be attracted towards India, as Indian has a huge growth potential. Further, Chinese territorial incursions in Ladakh and Dhoklam, and the willpower demonstrated by India in withstanding the Chinese hegemony, has boosted its image and increased strategic cooperation with countries like USA, Japan, Australia, etc as they also see China as a common enemy. Further, #boycottChina has further eroded the Chinese exports due to popular sentiments against China in its export destinations , thus adversely affecting China based companies .
Thus, businesses coming to India and trade between the western countries and India would face less challenges than with China. Naturally, India will be greatly benefited by China’s misadventures, and therefore, India should maintain a high vocal pitch of competition with China, without entangling in any confrontation, so as to send a message to the world community that India stands in sharp contrast to what China stands for. When businesses will face a choice, they will naturally prefer India over China.
Further, as Shashi Tharoor says, India’s soft power has always enabled it to present a better story because of its democracy, unity in diversity, IITs, Bollywood, etc. Thus, India is always seen as a natural partner for all countries across the world. In contrast, China has always been seen as a bully and threat, due to its expansionism and communism policies and thus has failed to propose a better story for itself. No wonder, China has been blamed for COVID 19 pandemic, from initial days itself and its allies have reduced to few countries like North Korea and Pakistan.
These factors uniquely places India to capture the FDIs and manufacturing and assembling industries of MNCs based in China, and contribute in the global supply chain. This will also promote greater investments, technology transfer, indigenous manufacturing, and increased trade with the world. The government has also supported it through increased tariffs on import of goods while liberalizing financial and technological flows like allowing private sector in railways, defense and space. This will curb imports, promote Make in India and thus help in the development of manufacturing sector. Thus, India is uniquely placed to reap these advantages and emerge as economic superpower.
India had missed the first three industrial revolutions, but it is well placed to harness and lead the fourth industrial revolution. It has the willpower, capacity and institutions which can propel the country to greater heights. As Shakespeare said, “There is a tide in affairs of men, when taken at right time leads to fortunes”, India must grab this rising tide of opportunity to become a Vishwa-guru and revive its past glory. This will fulfill the tryst with destiny, which the people of India had made during independence.
The communist country which was to be a very secretive nation just like it’s friend North Korea, proved it’s point by keeping the whole globe in the shadow about the deadly virus. As the report suggests the outbreak started in the mid November, but China kept quiet and continued working as if nothing happened. No physical communication of China with the rest of the world was hindered by the Chinese Government which helped in spreading the virus worldwide.
SECRECY
CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) illicit affairs started from mid November and took over the world. First, they censored the news about the outbreak, and then they silenced the whistleblowers out of which some are missing and some are dead.
Dr. Li Wenliang who tried to warn the world about covid-19 virus was punished and tortured by Chinese authorities and eventually died of the disease on February 7. Dr. Hu Weifeng who worked with Dr. Li has also died of the virus.
Ren Zhiqiang, a Chinese businessman who criticized CCP’s response towards the corona pandemic, is also missing since March. Several others along with a journalist named Chen Giushi have also gone off the radar.
CCP is well known for the anti democratic activities and its habit of suppressing the voices of the Chinese population. The whole world witnessed that in 1989 Tiananmen Square protests which took numerous lives of innocent Chinese students by the hands of their politically controlled army which is trained only to suppress the protests within the country.
At present the world is still witnessing a Nazi like behavior of the Chinese government towards the Uighur Muslims who are kept in detention camps in Xinjiang, China.
It is seen since ages that whenever anyone tries to speak up against the CCP, whether they are Chinese civilians or even the government officials, they are silenced in all the inhuman and illegal ways.
CORRUPTION & BUSINESS
The CCP and its military are famous for their corrupt and dictatorial activities, but this time their corruption crossed the Chinese borders and reached Geneva to the WHO Headquarters as said by the US President.
The WHO after feeling uneasy due to such allegations is now blaming China for hiding the facts about the virus outbreak and not informing the organization on time. But whatever the truth is, it can be stated that Mr. Tedros Adhanom didn’t do his job well.
The evil dragon hasn’t stopped yet, it sees this time as a big business opportunity to expand its corrupt trade practices. They are exporting masks, medicines, medical equipments and even TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicines) worldwide and earning huge bulk of profits. Reports suggest that china has done a business of about 63.2 Billion Yuan during this pandemic.
To add up to these sinister works of the communists, they are also looking for medicine companies to acquire them and sell corona vaccines for future business. They have a plan of doing hostile takeovers all around the world, as they did with the Norwegian airlines.
But to cope with such situations the countries are making laws to deal with this devil, like India and Germany have made laws for FPIs (Foreign Portfolio Investments) to be scrutinized more strictly. India is also pushing a movement to stop the use of Chinese products and applications as much as possible. UK is also planning to eradicate the Chinese tech giant Huawei completely by 2023.
The US on the other hand has passed a much stricter law which orders the Chinese firms to give up all the information which they were previously allowed to keep as a secret and even to check for future investments from China. Moreover, US has even delisted about 600 Chinese companies from their Stock exchanges, surely the CCP is getting a lot of heat from the west especially from the Republican Party.
DISTRACTIONS FOR THE WORLD
To keep the countries away from criticizing them, China has now adopted their old petty practices to poke its neighbours and own countrymen. By doing so the Chinese government is trying to gain sympathy and take revenge for the worldwide criticism at the same time.
China passed a new law for Hong Kong which infringes the democratic rights of the citizens which is criticized by the world leaders across the globe, the United Kingdom has stated that the law is totally against the 1997 handover of Hong Kong agreement between the British and the Chinese governments and is totally against the ‘one nation two systems’ character of China.
China, like always is also threatening Taiwan during the pandemic but this time they used a senior army official of the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) to threaten them with the possibility of military attack on Taiwan.They didn’t stop there, they are also disturbing their all time neighbour India on border issues in Sikkim and Ladakh along the LAC (Line of Actual Control). This is their oldest trick to annoy India and they are using it since ages. This time China has even turned India’s ‘good’ neighbour Nepal into a ‘bad’ one. The northern friend of India is now asking for 3 territories of Uttarakhand – Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh under China’s pressure due to the burden of Chinese loan on Nepal.
As reported by the US officials deployed in Japan, the Chinese navy has increased its activities in the East China Sea which is in dispute with Japan and is doing the same thing in the South China Sea to create problems for Malaysia, Vietnam & Philippines.
To help the Chinese government in their intimidation business, the country has its own state sponsored media houses who are regularly lashing out their hate and their terrorizing statements on the global platform. What else can be expected from a country where there is no concept of laws, judiciary or jurisdiction and where everything is decided by the CCP?
Instead of doing some charitable works for the world community, the communist nation is increasing its businesses and creating hindrances at the borders. That’s what communism in the present times looks like.
WORLD’S RESPONSE
The countries all around the globe have now stepped up against the red dragon in their own ways. The US has restricted a lot of trade with the Chinese plus they have also limited the number of flights between the two countries.
US has been inviting countries like India, Australia, South Korea and even Russia to expand the G7 and make it G10 or G11, all this to group together all the world’s most powerful economies to counter China and to support each other in trade activities, but it is unlikely for Russia to be a part of the group.
Donald Trump has even terminated the WHO funding due the organization’s deceitful relationships with China, US used to give 400 Million USD per year. Reports have also suggested that many Chinese students studying in the US who have prior relations with the military schools of China are being sent back to their home country on the charges of espionage.
The island continent on the other hand has proposed for a probe to inspect into the origin of covid-19 in the WHA (World Health Assembly) which is supported by around 123 nations including India. India and Australia have also signed for many trade, technology related and defense agreements in India’s first ever bilateral virtual summit with any country. The Chinese have been saying that this is also a step to counter them, as if anything happening in the world is about them.
When all the cards of the dragon are now on the table and the secret bubble in which China used to hide itself is exposed, the countries should not let them go unpunished. They need to answer and pay for the countless deaths and innumerous economic losses they have caused everywhere.
The world needs to unite against these 21st century Nazis in all the possible ways, the Bully needs to be stopped.
