Why Haryana desperately needs Yogi

0

Why BJP couldn’t muster clear majority in Haryana and faced humiliation for trying to garner support from Gopal Kanda? The main reason was ML Khattar who is known for his arrogance and irresponsible statements. I shifted to Gurugram three years back and have suffered a lot because of incompetence of Khattar.

Recently under construction flyover on Sohna road collapsed, injuring two persons, still there was not even a single tweet by Khattar. The company concerned is Oriental. This has not happened first time, ever since Khattar took over so many new flyovers and underpasses have collapsed. This is clear case of lack of administrative skills of our CM.

The buyers are suffering due to open loot by builders let it be chunks of plaster/concrete as heavy as 20 KG falling from the ceiling or let it be builders not applying for domestic electricity connection against the terms and conditions of occupation certificate issued by DTCP. Some buyers have not yet received their dream homes even after 10 years of long wait.

The roads particularly in New Gurugram are in very bad shape with almost no infrastructure.

Floods are not new to Gurugram. The main reason is disappearance of ponds due to illegal construction. One such pond was constructed by Britishers to conserve water. At present it is being used to dump carcasses.

Tanker mafia is rampant in Gurugram. Builders are throwing STP water in open and waste burning in open is very common. If one goes to police they say these issues are not under them.

People of Haryana feel that only qualification Khattar holds is friendship of PM. Haryana desperately needs a dynamic and young CM like Yogi.

The fraud of ‘Peaceful’ salutations

0

As-salamu alaykum.

Surprised to see this headline on Opindia? Don’t fret, or celebrate: we’re not ‘evolving’ like, say, an alleged comedian did, whose last name may or may not have anything to do with the Hindi word for ‘Room’ (screenshots betraying someone’s plausibly genuine sentiments toward Samuday Vishesh are freely available). There’s a rather diverse group of other beneficiaries of this ‘Evolution’ that I speak of, but that’s a different story and I hope to write it as such. Someday.

Meanwhile: ‘As-salamu alaykum’.

We need to talk about this problematic salutation. You’ll see why.

A friend of mine was greeted like this at work, not very long ago. By her Manager. You see, the manager had just taken over and it was their first meeting. During introductions, he assumed her religion because of her ambiguous, multi-faith name and greeted her by saying, “As-salamu alaykum”. She promptly informed him that she was a Hindu, to which her manager said it was fine and ‘As-salamu alaykum’ was a beautiful phrase anyway and asked her if she knew what it meant. She didn’t. He then proceeded to tell her, “I’m giving you a homework, then. When we meet post lunch, I need you to google the meaning of the greeting and tell me.” My friend had no choice but to acquiesce.

At this point, you’re probably wondering whether the manager was a Muslim. I have two things to say about that.

One, does it matter? What if he was? Why is it OK for a Muslim to greet a fellow Muslim at work by saying ‘As-salamu alaykum’? If religiously tinted greetings are OK at work, then would he greet a Hindu colleague by saying ‘Jai Ram Ji Ki’? Have you heard of a Muslim doing that? Would he accept ‘Jai Ram Ji Ki’ in response to his ‘As-salamu alaykum’? My wild guess is: No.

Islam, like all Abrahamic religions, makes very clear distinction between Believers and Non-believers. This greeting is just another ostensibly small, but ubiquitous way in which Muslims actively practice discrimination between Muslims and Non-Muslims. Only the Believer is worthy of a believed greeting. For the lesser beings like us, they switch to Hi’s and Hello’s. You might not see a problem with that, heck, I don’t even want to be greeted by any religiously colored greeting at work, but nation wants to know: If Muslims really mean well when they’re greeting you by Hi and Hello, why don’t they greet each other that way? Why do they have two sets of greetings, one for Muslims, and another for the Others? Who even does that? But it does give you some idea as to how deep the rot is set in.

And greetings are not the only sphere of life where you see this bigotry. This bold, in-your-face discrimination. Islam, as they correctly say, is a way of life, and which is why you see this bigotry across the entire Islamic way of life – but one article is too short a space to document all that. To comprehensively document Islamic bigotry toward the Kuffar, you will need a book roughly the size of the Wholee Q.

So you see, I am not taking all this trouble to rant just about how one greets someone. I am taking this trouble to point out the blatant discrimination that is deeply entrenched in the Islamic ideology. Greetings are merely an apt example.

And as for the greeting itself, make no mistake: ‘As-salamu alaykum’ is indeed a religiously tinted greeting. It’s not just a ‘beautiful phrase’, is it? Muslims know that. You can too. An NTDV level research is all it takes, except you wouldn’t have to lie like they do. Just google the phrase, and go to the Wikipedia page. Here are some relevant bits that I picked up from Wikipedia:

  • The second sentence of the Wikipedia article: “The salam is a religious salutation among Muslims when greeting.” Religious. Not just a beautiful phrase.
  • The complete phrase is as-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-raḥmatu -llāhi wa-barakātuh, Meaning: “Peace be upon you, as well as the mercy of God and his blessings.” And we know it’s not just any God, is it? The bedrock of Islam, it’s very beginning, the first and ONE thing they make you say when they want to convert you to Islam is: There is no God but Allah.
  • The phrase appears a total of 7 times in the Quran.

All of this from Wikipedia alone. There’s more there, and there’s more on the internet. Mostly Islamic sources. Good luck refuting them.

Now the detractors can disagree with Wikipedia for the sake of Holy Tequiyya. To them, I say: go ahead, make my day. Given OpIndia’s history with Wikipedia, a part of me wants you to.

So you see, I don’t believe that this greeting is just a beautiful phrase. I don’t believe that it’s OK for Muslims to immediately classify people into Muslims and Non-Muslims the moment they see them (and greet them accordingly). But are they alone to be blamed? I don’t think so. I think the Indian Secularism is, after all, a one-sided love affair of stellar cosmic astronomical proportions.

Anyway, that’s the first thing I wanted to say about whether the manager was a Muslim. The second thing is: He wasn’t.

They are scared with your choice to write

Peddling narratives is their sole right.
They are scared
With your choice to write.

Nevertheless, you ought to try.
Keep sending manuscripts,
let them deny.

Fill pages, burn midnight oil.
Speak, write, reveal
on what makes your blood boil.

Broadcast you views.
Even if they get censored,
they end up making news.

What is wheat to you, are to them weeds.
What is terrorism,
are ‘just’ deeds.

Despite long slavery your faith thrives
They hate you
For your will to survive.

You have numbers, they have airs.
Your truth is vehement,
their lies have flair.

Now even if they burn books,
raze temples.
Records won’t be overlooked.

Their monopoly is set to crumble,
Truth has begun
to break the shackles.

You might be cancelled.
But fear not
for your voice can no longer be muzzled.

If your book does not Bloom,
like a Garud it shall fly.
Harbour no gloom.

National food security and its ground reality

0

The basic concept of food security globally is to ensure that all people, at all times, should get access to basic access to basic food for their active and healthy life and is characterized by availability, access, utilization and stability of food. Though the Indian Constitution does not have any explicit provision regarding right to food, the fundamental right to life enshrined in Article 21 of the Constitution may be interpreted to include right to live with human dignity, which may include the right to food and other basic necessities.

Though the issue of ‘food security’ at the household is continuously being addressed by the Indian Government since long, through the Public Distribution System (PDS) and Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS), the enactment of the National Food Security Act, (NFSA) 2013 on July 5, 2013 marks a paradigm shift in the approach of food security from ‘welfare to right based approach’. The Act legally entitles upto 75% of the rural population and 50% of the urban population to receive subsidised foodgrains under TPDS. About two thirds of India’s population therefore is covered under the Act to receive highly subsidised foodgrains. As a step toward women empowerment, the eldest women of the household of age 18 years or above is mandated to be head of the household for the purpose of issuing ration cards under the Act. And it has all the ingredients in place to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2), which is to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture prior to the 2030 targets.

Under NFSA Center it provides 5 kg of foodgrains (Rs 3 per kg for rice and Rs 2 per kg for wheat) per person per month to about 80 crore beneficiaries at a highly susidised price of Rs 2-3 per kg under this plan. The distribution of foodgrains through nation-wide portability of ration cards through the implementation if IT-driven system by installation of electronic Point of Sale (e-POS) devises at fair price shops or ration shops, seeding of Aadhar number of beneficiaries with their ration cards and operationalization of biometrically authenticated e-POS transactions in various States and Union Territories. Since April 2020 government is providing additional 5 kg rice and pulses (free of cost) per head to NFSA beneficiaries.

Currently, the facility of national portability of ration cards under ‘One Nation One Ration Card plan’ is seamlessly enabled in an integrated clusters of 24 States/UTs with effect from August 1, 2020, covering approximately 65 crore beneficiaries (80% of total NFSA population) in these states.

Till now what we discussed, look good at surface level but the ground reality is totally different. I would like to share one story of Vimla (name changed). Recently, I visited my native place in Uttar Pradesh, where I met Vimla who is washerwoman our area. Casually, I discussed with her about her family then I came to know that she is not getting ration since three months (which she is legally entitled to) because four months ago she switched to digitised ration card (Aadhar authenticated ration card) after getting new ration card she went to Kotedar (ration distributor) Amba Agrawal (name changed) for ration but Amba Agrawal said to Vimla that you will get ration after three months. Hence, come for three months and do your verification, after that you will get your ration.

I was wondering, how it is possible. I took her ration card number and visited NFSA UP government website and found that ration distributor is taking foodgrains and making her fool that she needs to verify it for three months. I went to Amba Agrawal and asked him about this issue. He told me the same story which he told Vimla. I felt really agitated, I showed him the NFSA UP data which showing that Vimla is getting foodgrains. Then Amba Agrawal accepted and said, brother we take three months ration from everyone and after that we take ‘one unit of ration’ (one person of a family) so that we can make sure no one’s name is deleted from ration card and timely delivery of foodgrains to the beneficiary. I found this polite threat very weird.

I called Ward Member of Vimla’s area (who is an elected representative) and narrated the story but I got more shocking reply from ward member, she said, – sir, this is how system works. Then, I called to SDM of that area, he said, – speak to your Ward Member. Now, I realised that its very difficult to come out of the situation where system has become a cobweb. I thought of writing a mail to Minister of Consumer Affairs but Vimla said brother, you will go after 1 or 2 months form here but I have to face them every month. Whatever I am getting through PDS (foodgrains), may not get in future. I realised that whatever she is saying is correct and I left Vimla at her condition and felt very bad and agitated that could not help her.

What needs to be done to eliminate corruption form Public Distribution System?

Bono has rightly said- “the worst disease in the in the world today is corruption”.

Government spend 1.7 lakh crore on food subsidy bill but unfortunately due to corruption an loopholes in the system people are not getting what they are legally entitled for.

Section 12 (2) (h)of NFSA, 2013 deals with ‘cash transfer of food subsidy’ means NFSA can be implemented in cash transfer mode under which equivalent of subsidy can be transferred directly into the Bank accounts of eligible households to enable them to purchase food grains from open market. But the problem is with this provision is, it is optional for States/UTs. Only three UTs provide cash subsidy unnder DBT i.e. Chandigarh, Puducherry and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. NFSA is biggest source of corruption that’s why state governments are reluctant to implement above mentioned provision of NFSA. Hence, parliament should make Section 12 of NFSA a mandatory provision so that intended beneficiaries can get what they are entitled for.

Cash transfer seeks to increase the choices available with a beneficiary, and he or she can decide that what he/she wants to consume rather than government forcing people to consume rice/wheat. Cost of DBT may be lesser than PDS, owing to lesser cost incurred on storage, transport.

Pakistan to Mapistan: Decoding the real intent

The cartographic issues and challenges to India from its neighbour is not a novel or unique problem that we have witnessed in the recent. From the starting of July there are some issues going on with the all-time ally of India i.e. Nepal but in recent past we have witnessed a shift of paradigm from Nepal as it is continuously taking stands that is not in favour of India.

The recent cartographic challenge on the very first eve of abrogation of Article 370 comes when Pakistan unveils its new political map. Now, the new bizarre act is a provocation move, as it is evident that Pakistan on Tuesday unveiled its new map that is too absurd due to its claim on various Indian regions. The development is provoking the International border tension as the intention of Pakistan is clear from the new revealed map where Pakistan is making sovereign claims on the entire Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and the erstwhile princely state of Junagadh in Gujarat. The step taken by Pakistan has also some consequential effect through which Pakistan wants to capture the Indian territory and to bring an internal disturbance with the help of terrorism. There is not an iota of doubt about the evil intention of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s statement made the aforementioned claim more strengthening, the statement also called for the use of IIOJK and not IOJK or JOK. It said that the term used Jammu and Kashmir henceforth should be “Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir” as approved to “Indian Occupied Kashmir”. It also added that illegal action should be used in place of illegal annexation. The text below in parentheses reads, “Disputed Territory – Final Status to be decided in line with the relevant UNSC resolutions.”

The new map also claims that the district of Junagadh in Gujarat is the part of Pakistan and this cannot be possible due to the earlier development in Junagadh wherein 1948 there was a plebiscite to decide the dispute that is Junagarh a part of India or Pakistan, in which 99.45% people of that district voted in the notion to join India, after only that Junagadh became part of India. In the plebiscite India polled 222,184 votes and Pakistan 130 out of a total population of 720,000 of Junagarh and its feudatories.

The absurdity of this new ‘so called’ map of Pakistan is clearly understandable from this very reason. The issues is not only that Pakistan is claiming the parts of India as its territory but also the very heated and debated issue of International resonance where once again Pakistan is creating new conundrums in the region of Sir Creek where International border lines lie along the western bank of Sir Creek but now just to expand its territory according to its own whims and fancies the new map is showing the borderline along in the eastern bank of Sir Creek.

Pakistan Digging its own grave

The absurdity of new map is evident and there is no need to discuss on it but the prime question that is untouched by many of us even today is that  from this new map Pakistan itself invited a new tension for itself, soon Pakistan would regret on its new so called political map decision, It is a death knell to the self-determination movement and anti-national activities in the Kashmir valley. Want to know why Pakistan will regret its own decision here is the reason, the impact of this development or cartographic hallucination on bilateral relationship between India and Pakistan may be watershed in times to come. From this map Pakistan reopens the map of 1948’s., from this step Pakistan simply paved the way for unilateralism as Pakistan has given up on the landmarks 1972 Shimla Agreement and 1999 Lahore Declaration, the two agreements that was signed for the bilateral dispute resolution. This raise question that

‘Does Imran Khan’s this notion is indicating that they want to give up other bilateral pacts as well?’.

Such as the aqua lifeline for Pakistan. The Indus Water Treaty that allows the division of water between two nations. It is evident from above-mentioned information that Pakistan tends to follow the same road as adopted by Nepal in which the latter amended their constitution and stated the territory of India as a part of its own in May 2020.

Pakistan has also tried to follow them by connecting dots to dots. This new map of Pakistan opens up the door for unilateralism by India but India has never involved in such activities and has always tried to maintain friendly relation with its neighbouring states and once again to de-escalate the things and not to provoke it on the prima facies Indian government has dismissed the new Pakistan map as a “exercise in political absurdity”

There is not a Iota of doubt that this map raised new and heavy concerns for India as we are now facing the multidimensional issues from many of our neighbours out of which two of them are major concerns, i.e. China and Pakistan, but the paradigm shift and change in the attitude of Nepal is concerning for India much more than that rest of two nations.

Pakistan’s Evil Intention Decoded

Foreign Minister of Pakistan has clearly stated that their objective is to reach Srinagar which is a threatening sign, this statement was made to provoke India to internationalize the issue of Kashmir on the global platform. These events are the outcome of inability of Pakistan’s PM to get the international community to side with Islamabad on the issue of Kashmir as no one is in support of Pakistan on International platform on the issue of abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan stated that “It is a historic occasion. The political map reflects our national aspiration and supports our principled stance on Kashmir dispute.” The foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said that the dotted line in the initial map that used to indicate a “disputed territory” has been done away with. He also said that Siachen has also been included in the new map and that it has always belonged to Pakistan. Qureshi claimed that the “Kashmir Leadership” has also endorsed the new map.

“Our destination is Srinagar, our goal is to achieve and fulfil the dream of our ancestors,” the foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said. Many other statements were made by different personnel of Pakistan with reference to the map

Conundrum in the new Map: The Issues

Facing a mutiny in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, insurgency in Balochistan and demand within the Sindhi community of Pakistan for an independent Sindhi nation. The action of declaring Indian territories as its own by Pakistani authorities could be a conspiracy amongst the Pakistani, Chinese and Nepalis authorities against India to claim parts of Indian territory so as to build pressure and tension for India.

On the eve of August 05, the claims made by Pakistan is cartographic aggression and we need to address it in the same language as Pakistan tried to worried us. The issues with the new political map of Pakistan is its map itself as in no way the claim portion is their territory and cannot be justified in any way.

The map depicts entire Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory and done away with borders in the east of Kashmir. The cabinet of Pakistan also approved to rename Kashmir Highway in capital city Islamabad as Srinagar Highway. Further, the new map claims the Siachen, regions of Sir Creek, and Junagadh as a part of Pakistan’s territory. This petty act of Pakistan is against its commitment to adjudicate the future of all six parts of the erstwhile royal state of Jammu and Kashmir which includes Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, PoK and Aksai Chin with India and the claims made by Pakistan in its new map is also a regressive step. This is a calculative strategy dictated by Chinese to remind us that if we continue to stand firm in a dark then India has a problem in two-front war they are trying to send a signal to us that since Pakistan is a client stage of China at any point they can make Pakistan’s to open up a front against us concerning this ridiculous assertion of Junagadh.

Why this is absurd move and India’s response on it?

This absurd move by Pakistan comes due to the recent masterstroke made by the Indian government in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.  The inability of Pakistan and decline in terrorism is a worry for Pakistan as, it didn’t want to see stability and development in Jammu and Kashmir. The prime aim of Pakistan is to capture the territories of India by militant aggression and by terror activities, but due to recent development and stringent actions by the Government of India Pakistan is continuously facing defeat in its evil intentions to disturb the peace in Jammu and Kashmir. This development is just frustration of Pakistan and cartographic aggression that cannot be ignored in any way.

The spokes-person of MEA has rejected the claims made by Pakistan and termed it as “absurd act”. This new development raised new concerns for India due to multidimensional reasons. The assertions of Pakistan is just a plan absurdity that lacks international credibility as well as it has no legal backing and it only confirms the reality of Pakistan’s obsession with territorial aggrandizement with the full support of terrorism from the cross border. This move is a tit for tat by Pakistan as China, Nepal and Pakistan objected and condemned to the map of New Delhi that was issued in November 2019, the reasons for objection by the three neighbour is dynamic in nature.

Concerns for India.

The new concerns arose for India and what Pakistan had done on August 5 is showing that Pakistan is crossing its limit. It erodes the credibility of Pakistan in the diplomatic parlance of the globe, it also takes away the legal validity and they have further embedded themselves in the lies and propaganda. The similar act was already done by Nepal at tri-juncture, it is raised the concerns as this is the second time in the recent past where cartographic challenge that is not legal and tenable at all. Earlier Nepal published a new map claiming India’s territories in its map where Nepal claimed the territories of the Kalapani region.

The global diaspora is also somewhat concerned due to the recent losing grip of India and its influence on its neighbours as the changing stands of Nepal, Sri Lanka is also titled more towards China, Bangladesh is miffed over  the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and  the harsh blow on India’s face as it was excluded from Iran’s Chabahar railway link project. These issues are raising concerns for Indian diplomacy as well as to everyone in India and there is an urgent need for a deeper examination of the diplomatic relations, foreign policies with some of our past neighbouring friends like Nepal and other countries. The trend of India now should be of preparedness and proactiveness especially in the case of Pakistan and China.

The ridiculous act of Pakistan doesn’t ridicule us in anyway as now we have a more strong contention about the real intention of Pakistan about controlling the Indian territories with the help of propaganda, terrorism and lies.

Hindutva: A unifying or a divisive force?

0

 Introduction:

After Modi government came to power in 2014 ‘Hindutva’ and ‘Hindu Rashtra’ became immensely popular terms and they resonated in every corner of the nation after every nationalist policy of Modi government. There is one section of society which is in favour of this ideology and are proud of the fact that a party with this ideology is in power whereas another section of the society thinks of it as a fascist and an exclusivist ideology which is against the secular character of India but actually neither of the sides know the actual reality.

Origin and the meaning of the word ‘Hindu’:

Before I explain what Hindutva is, I would like to explain the meaning of the term ‘Hindu’. Majority of us think of it as a religious identity not knowing that it is a geographic identity. The term ‘Hindu’ has two ways of representing it, both implying that it was a geographic identity. First is that it was a geographic and cultural term used by the Greeks, Persians, and Arabs, derived from the Sanskrit Sindhu to describe the people living by and beyond the river Sindhu. The Greeks modified Sindhu to Indus, and it is said that ancient Persian explorers because of their pronunciation rules dropped the letter S from Sindhu, and called the people living around the Sindhu River as Hindus. Another representation of the word Hindu has been traced to ancient puranas in which there is a verse:

“Himalayam Samarambhya Yavad Bindusarovaram,
Hindusthanmati Gyatam Hii Antarakshar Ayogatah”.

It means country between the Himalaya and Bindu Sarovar (“Hindu Sagar” which is the Indian ocean) is Hindustan. So, anyone who is born in this country is a Hindu combining the first letter ‘Hi’ of Himalayas and last compound letter ‘ndu’ of word Bindu forming the word Hindu. Hindu is somewhat a Sanskrit word for Indian. Later when the Christian missionaries and the Muslim emperors came to India they got the western concept of religion along with them until then there was no concept of religion in India and Hinduism is a way of life and not a religion! and they used the term ‘Hindu’ to distinguish between the original inhabitants of the land and the invaders. Then came the first census of India by the British in 1871 that defined “Hindu” as an omnibus term to encompass several religions that were not Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, or Jain. Hence gradually the term “Hindu” became a religious identity from a geographic identity.

Factors that led to the formation of the ideology ‘Hindutva’:

Veer Savarkar (1883-1966) was a freedom fighter and an ardent right-wing nationalist. The word ‘Hindutva’ was coined by him, he was shifted to Ratnagiri prison in 1921 and that same year he wrote a tract titled ‘Hindutva’ in the prison cell. It was then that the term ‘Hindutva’ entered political lexicon. He formulated Hindutva as a response to khilafat movement (1919-1924), Wahabi movement (1826-1871) and minority appeasement tactics followed by then congress and British government. Khilafat movement was started by the Ali brothers which was later supported by Gandhi to win the confidence of Muslims, get them in the national movement and to unite Hindus and Muslims.

Khilafat movement was launched to restore the caliph of Ottoman Caliphate who was considered the leader of Sunni Muslims. Many leaders including Savarkar, Jinnah and Nehru were against this procession. According to Savarkar it was absurd for Indians to fight for Turkish Sultan who was not even an Indian but a head of a religious institution and he believed that those Indian Muslims who considered him their spiritual head owned their loyalties to powers outside of India. What disturbed Savarkar was that Indians (Hindus and Muslims) were being united on the bases of a Turkish Sultan and minority appeasement. Savarkar was disturbed by the caste system and the lack of unity among the Hindus. He was exasperated by the orthodox beliefs and notions of purity which made it hard for them to come together as a group. So Savarkar formulated ‘Hindutva’ an ideology to unite Indians on the bases of our common culture, history, and heroes.

Savarkar’s Hindutva:

Savarkar’s Hindutva was based on political terms and not religious. He defined the nation as based on the unifying Hinduness of its people. At the very onset, Savarkar made it clear that Hindutva was not same as Hinduism and it had nothing to do with the religion and the rituals. According to Savarkar anyone who considered this nation as their fatherland and holy land was a ‘Hindu’. By Savarkar’s definition of ‘Hindu’ even Muslims and Christians were welcomed to be a part of ‘Hindutva’ they just didn’t have to owe their allegiance to any other power or country except India (According to Savarkar Annie Besant was a ‘Hindu’ even though India was not her fatherland but she truly loved India and respected its history, heroes and culture). Although, Savarkar believed that the love of many Muslims and Christians was divided and when they had to pick between their holy land (Arabia or Palestine) and fatherland (India) they would choose their holy land (Khilafat movement epitomized his charge). Anyways he wanted to keep the door open for all.

Conclusion:

‘Hindutva’ does not oppose any religion instead ‘Hindutva’ believes in “Sarva dharma sambhava Sarva panth samadar” meaning equal respect for all faiths, belief, and nominations. It was just formulated to unite Indians on the bases of our common culture and history of India. Sangh Parivar believes that Indian Muslims and Christians are different from other Muslim and Christian in the world as they are culturally and ancestrally ‘Hindu’ and that’s the reason why many Indian Muslims and Christian acknowledge the Hindu traditions (Tarek Fatah, Abdul Kalam, Arif Mohammad Khan, Faiz Khan are some of the best-known examples). Hindutva was meant to unite people not to divide, people have misunderstood the meaning resulting in fights and disputes. Majority of people support it or are against it without knowing the actual meaning.

Cheers!
Harsh Shah

Letter to Bapu

Dear Bapu,
How is your independence there! Country side feeling no more independence here. Danger looming  everywhere. Secular gang mushrooming and voicing loud. I Secular! We secular! It’s good you all time aspire it but they are pseudo secular in nature.

They coin it to bag their hidden agenda of cheap popularity, minorities vote, milk the fund from Gulf countries. They ever oppose the wrong to Muslim in unison. It’s is also good. But they never appose the wrong to Hindu by minorites. Arpinch kejripal is like one of those seculars.

They file petitions to ruin the precious time of already burdened courts. They keep mum and turn their eyes blind towards non-Muslim issues. It hurts a lot, Bapu. These days their secular agendas have led rise to Islamic extremist fearlessly in the country side.

Extremists burnt Delhi in February and  Bangalore in August this year. God knows, which city on the list next! Many people killed, Hindu along with Muslim. They don’t fear of their lives and livelihood. They plan everything cunningly and truckloads of crowd gather on roads in thousands chanting “ALLAHU AKBAR” with petrol bombs, stones, long knives or whatever weapons they get. it will surprise you they even carry pistol you ever hated. They are becoming religiously blind. They call their GOD the great, greater and greatest five times a day through big big loudspeakers mounted on their God houses. Definety, it turns our blood on boil! But we keep ourselves silent and peaceful. We sing your popular song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” they say it smashes harmony in society. Lack in food but marry more and populate the country side recklessly! Isn’t it ‘Jansankhya Jihad’ one of the mottos they live for? You taught us value of non-violence, peace, love, humanity and brotherhood. Their growing kids never believe in your teachings. They jokes apart your thought of Ramrajya. They ignore the value of  friendship, brotherhood. They post abusive meme, spread vulgarity against Hindu deities but stir violent  for sake of their own God. Bapu, it hurts  us a lot but your teachings are in our blood.

They burn police stations and guards. They even burn thousands of vehicles, houses, government property and whatever come in their way. Bapu, do you know? First time, they attack and gutted house of your Congress men in Bangaluru. The poor Dalit! He is trembling with fear. Surely, he will call you soon in one or two days. Please do help him. He requested your party head to protect his family but your party head ignores him help. She threatens him to exit from the party. She does not even oppose the extremists’ wrong doing. Other seculars also keep mum. One famous secular “Rabbish” bagged Magsaysay awards and global identity on secularism also liptights on the issue. Bapu , I feel  sorry to tell you, some of attackers are amongst your Party.

I know you ward those bastards off. It will even shock you  the party you led is no more a democratic one. Every year no presidential election held. Soneeya Tai is presiding it since long. Yes, some times, she hands over the presidency to his elder son, Pappu, but he renounces it and goes to Thailand everybody knows why. She in recent days started hating Hindus. A sadhu killed in Palghar but missed her voice on police’s failure. Arnab cried many a time but she lodged FIRs against him. Bapu, thank god, you are not here. She disregards your lesson on non-violence, she incites  people to come out from their houses to organise orchestra on Delhi Roads. Three months Noutanki held in Shaheen Baag on the name of CAA. Thanks heaven! Corona arrives in the meantime  the country side and people  remain locked in their houses. Corona  very dangerous and contagious flu type disease.

Crores of people around globe are suffering from it with lakhs of death. Bapu, it kills Ahat Indouri, a famous secular. The whole nation feeling sad on his sudden demise. Please look him after if he meets you there. He garnered big applauds by singing “Hindustan kisi ke  Baap ka thode hi hai”. Bapu, don’t forget to listen him, he is such a wonderful guy, but remember he was tested positive. Do keep him two metres distance. This corona every day infects lakhs of people globally. Started from Wuhan in China now spreading all over the world. Still lockdowns in the country side. People hiding inside houses, animals roaming outside. You know Bapu! Offices, schools, shops, malls, cinemas bus, train, aeroplane and metro too fully closed. Difficult time everywhere. But hospitals are looting lakhs of rupees daily. People wear mask and apply sanitizers even in villages. A long ordeal Bapu! Only positive  negative game. Long story, I will write you in next letter.

Bapu, it would be late, if you won’t reorganise your party’s democratic value with Presidential election be held every year. Your grand party is rapidly losing base in country side. Internal quarrel all time high. Sachin labours hard but sits in boundary row in Raj assembly. Bapu, if it goes unseen long ever  we may rejoice it never the sacrifices of yours, forefathers.

Now it is high time Your words “Karo ya Maro” were absolutely go true as there is a stir in people to protect old culture and civilization. To nip the head of terror. Pour some guidance and blessing, Bapu. Hindu-Muslim issue and pseudo secularism are eating away our independence.

We find difficulty in saving  ourselves, children and family from rising hatred and jihad in the country side. You took revenge from British but Who should I take revenge? From extremist or from Pakistan or from China or from Secular? BJP, a non secular party, is feeling helpless. They too don’t bother to ease out troubles come in way.

Bapu, no more shroud I can tie on my head because it is already burdened with responsibilities.

We need MAGICAL power like you to change the situation. Waiting for your reply, Bapu..

From …  A worried country man.

National Digital Health Mission- A visionary move towards transforming health sector of India

0

The PM Narendra Modi from ramparts of Red Fort laid down that every citizen will be provided with a universal health ID, which means that their medical records such as test, diagnosis, treatment will be digitalized and saved as a database that can be accessed from anywhere across the country.

PM Modi since 2014 (i.e) ever since being elected as Prime minister and started addressing the nation from the ramp parts of red forts has used these platforms for making any important policy announcement. In 2014, it was Swachh Bharat Mission and last year when the government won with an overwhelming majority, it was sending a message of population control. It is a need for greater awareness as its important in curtailing the population explosion. This Independence Day, it was about the National Digital Health Mission, because the focus on health is very important to India. We have seen the digital India approach under Prime minister Narendra Modi and now the fact he said that every Indian must have a digital health card; which is essentially saying that every aspect of livelihood will be linked to our bank account and that’s why we have Adhaar ID. All that will now be a part of this digital health mission card.

The NDHM comprises six key building blocks or digital systems – HealthID, DigiDoctor, Health Facility Registry, Personal Health Records, e-Pharmacy and telemedicine – that will enable access to timely, safe and affordable healthcare through a ‘citizen-centric’ approach. All of these digital products except e-Pharmacy and telemedicine have been deployed and are up and running. It is completely voluntary, whether you are a doctor or whether you are a patient. Citizens have an option to get a digital health ID. You can get it yourself with self-registration on the mobile phone or the website or can take the help of a doctor or hospital as well. It will be a 14 digit number with your chosen username at the rate of NDHM, which becomes your ID. These ID will also hold your photo, QR code, and to generate it, you need to give your name, gender, DOB, and either your mobile number or Adhaar number. Adhaar is not mandatory so you don’t have to give your number if you don’t feel so. But you will have to if you want to use any government schemes, insurance schemes on the government then they will require the Adhaar number.

The doctors can also volunteer to be what they called ‘Digi doctors’. It’s up to the doctors to decide if they want to volunteer and be part of the digital ecosystems. Why they should do it? If they don’t, they can’t give an e-prescription or do e-diagnosis to give check out summaries on the online format and this becomes the advantage for them if they want to be relevant in part of the digital ecosystem. This itself is going to be massive and here’s why for the first time, we are going to see an initiative to create a database of doctors and more importantly, this repository will only have qualified doctors. This is the first time you could have a repository of doctors and this information would start flowing in from medical colleges and the repository will only have those who are identified by state medical council or the national medical council so this is crucial for the first time that we will be having this database. The healthcare providers, hospital chains, clinics, facilities, and all these people will also have the information.

Why is this crucial? Supposing let’s say you go to a clinic in a hospital near Mumbai and you are diagnosed with some alignment and you also possess the health ID, now you want to have a second opinion on that matter of diagnosis so you are approaching AIIMS in Delhi. The information will be shared in a PDF form after the permission of the patient and in reading the only format, so the doctors here cannot make any change and can only read. This is going to be a very secure method and it cannot tamper easily. Medical health experts welcome this and suggest it’s going to be a major game-changer and going to transform health sector of India

Ministry of MSME came to my rescue when my business was seeing the worst time of it!

0

Having been in business for more than a decade and a half, the travails and tribulations of being a woman entrepreneur in India have been like climbing mount Everest most often than not. Until now. And how do I claim this? Through the two ‘AA ratings’ that are infallible hallmarks and the basis of our Culture – experience, anubhav and the subsequent realisation, anubhuti.

Even though I have been banking with the second largest private bank in the nation –HDFC, my recent interaction with them has been nothing less than horrific. As the lockdown lifted and we all limped back to work metaphorically, the reality of having incurred huge losses hit me like a brick on the head! The shops we retailed in were shut, buyers cancelled purchase orders and unsold stock grew by the day. Chances of reviving manufacturing were slim as most migrant workers were still at home and the demand for garments too had plummeted. Handloom artisans that we had been supporting were looking at a bleak future. Staring rudely and unapologetically at me were the dreaded stacks of unpaid bills!

I was distraught. The funds were drying up fast and new streams of income were tough to find since this pandemic had really taken the steam out of the entire world! Then came the by now frequent ‘address to the nation’ by Modi ji. Contrary to popular opinion, there was no special task planned for us this time, but it entailed an announcement that lifted the spirits of all. The generous Economic Stimulus Package of 20L Crores seemed like a lifeline for the dwindling economy. Hope raised her beautiful head.

Unfortunately for me, it appeared as a mirage…The Bank had mismanaged our account even though we had been associated with them since the long and things just came to a standstill. I was smarting under their excessively arrogant approach to my issues and concerns. The loan under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme seem to appear further than the Galaxy Andromeda!

My daily working became a nightmare. Hours at end were spent writing mails, requesting for clarity, escalating the matter, pleading with seniors for reviews and highlighting the urgency of the situation. Life became tough and somewhere anger was setting in.

Time passed by. The greater they negated the stronger became my resolve in ‘satyamev jayate.’  This was Naya Bharat, truth HAD to prevail.

Looking for a solution I started searching the web for places to lodge complaints — Banking Ombudsman, RBI and then finally an ‘angelic’ friend guided me towards the MSME Ministry.

I got the number of Mr. Santanu Mitra, ADC, and to my utter surprise and relief, he answered the call with promptness and magnanimity. I felt reassured. Soon enough his office reverted. Mr. Saurabh Arora gave me a sympathetic hearing and asked to file a complaint at the Champions Portal of the MSME Ministry. The ease of registering on it and filing the complaint was unbelievable!

To top it all, within hours, I got a call from Dr. K.K Goel, from DCDI requesting for details of Bank officials handling my case. By the end of the evening, a reply from the Portal had reassured me that I was in good hands. My eyes welled up with tears….

The complaint was registered on 19th August and with minimal follow up, by 21st August, the Bank had been hauled up and I received a well worded apologetic mail from them followed by the disbursement of the eagerly awaited loan! SATYAMEV JAYATE was vindicated.

As I called up to thank each one of the officials of the Ministry, their humility, concern and now joy in my happiness seemed almost other worldly… This Government was truly ‘of the people, by the people and for the people.’

The words of Mr. Mitra ring in my ears – ‘we are here to serve please call us any time you have a problem. Governments can be sensitive too….’ Golden words, that are genuine and alive. Meaningful Support to My Endeavour is the new meaning of MSME for me.

Finally, with all humility I state that Naya Bharat is truly awake and evolving. It is gracious and aware, sympathetic and sensitive and above all genuine and proactive.
