पठान फिल्म भी देशभक्ति पर आधारित थी, परन्तु इसमे देश से प्रेम के स्थान पर "पठान" प्रेम अधिक दिखलाई पड़ रहा था। इस फिल्म में भी बालीवुड़ ने भारतीय समुदाय के बहुसंख्यक समुदाय के भावनाओं के साथ खिलवाड़ करने का सम्पूर्ण प्रयास किया गया था
