Punjab Farmers agitation

We have often heard that to run a democracy we need a strong opponent. But it's half truth. To run a democracy we need a strong and HEALTHY opposition.

Punjab's GST contribution is a measly Rs 1353 crores. It is less than a tenth of Maharashtra! It is less than a quarter of the likes of Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

In this article, we will discuss why the second of these demands: a law guaranteeing MSP to farmers, is absolutely untenable.

It comes as a shock to many that Punjab IS NOT the most wheat producing state in India. That honour goes to Uttar Pradesh.

पंजाब, हरियाणा और राजस्थान में किसानों को हमारे निर्यात से कोई सरोकार नहीं है, और वे अपने स्वयं के लाभ को देखते हैं, क्योंकि एमएसपी प्रणाली उन्हें अत्यधिक लाभ देती है, और उन्हें दुनिया की तुलना में प्रति किलोग्राम बेहतर कीमत मिल रही है।

Without developing new markets for the more dynamic lines of activity, agriculture, farmers and the economy will be stuck with a slow-moving cereal economy.

यह जश्न मनाने का समय हैं ना कि विरोध करने का समय है, क्योंकि शोषण करनेवाले कभी भी इन सुधारो का साथ नही देंगे, हमे मजबूती से सरकार और किसानों के साथ रहना हैं और साथ ही साथ सामाजिक और आर्थिक रूप से हमारे प्यारे किसानों के सशक्त और संवर्धित मूल्य में और वृद्धि करनी है।
