Leading up to the Supreme Court's final ruling on the Karnataka Hijab controversy, there were many opinions being expressed on both sides of the argument.
Whatever Jilebi-argument an Islamic apologist can give, the inherent problem of Islam is obvious like daylight. Either one is an exclusive, violent and intolerant Momin or a Munafiq/Mushrik/Kafir.
hijab is not a choice but a forced injunction on women. We can equate it to abortion ban and restrictions on contraceptives that Christian women face in western and catholic countries.

The simple fact that a student is saying Hijab is more important than education is a cause for alarm. The fact that the kid has been brainwashed into believing that knowledge is not important but some arcane rule about covering up is, it is the time we stand up and say enough.
Its indeed difficult to make out what common ground the three groups (Islamists, liberals and feminists) who advocate for one another hold. Their core ideology is completely different in reality.
It is time to do the right thing and put full stop this political non-sense and make common uniform practice across all schools that cannot be compromised in principle.
