Decline of Christianity in West and its subsequent rise in non Christian countries by dubious means

0

The recent comments made by the Archbishop of Delhi and the role of the church in previous elections in Nagaland, Goa makes us think whether the church is up to something mischievous. A comparative view of the role of the church in western countries and in countries like India, we find that there is hypocrisy and catholic church is deliberately pushing massive evangelization agenda because it is losing its ground in Europe.

A detailed analysis is given below:

Role of religion in politics and religious conflicts in the west:

Out of the 51 countries in Europe 33 countries (including turkey) are constitutionally secular and other countries which are not constitutionally secular have either an officially recognized religion (mostly Christianity) or give preferential treatment to the churches. For example, Switzerland is constitutionally secular and maintains a neutral position against all religions but most of the cantons in the Swiss confederacy expect Geneva and Neuchatel recognize official churches. In secular countries like Sweden Estonia and the Czech Republic commenting upon the decline in Christianity report in a global post published on June 3rd,2013.

“In Sweden, Estonia and the Czech Republic that number fell below 20 percent -although more said they believed in the existence of “some form of spirit or life force. “Forty percent of the French declared they believed in neither god nor spirit, along with 30 percent of the Dutch, 27 percent of Germans and a quarter of the British.

In last 20 years up to 2010, the Evangelical Church of Germany closed 340 churches and is considering giving up another 1,000, the news weekly Der Spiegel reported in February. Dutch churches are reportedly closing at a rate of two a week -around 4,000 remain from the estimated 19,000 built since the 13th century. From 1999 to 2010, the Church of Sweden says it lost 800,000 members.”

In America too, such a trend was observed by leading research center PEW where all sects of Christianity had observed a decline and there was a steep increase in a number of people who are unaffiliated.

The rise in religious conflicts and the effect in politics due to evangelization in India:

Christianity which came through the European missionaries had the highest amount of negative impact in the northeastern part of our country. This can be seen from the fact that in the recently concluded elections held in Nagaland and Meghalaya, the Baptist church was seen to be making political comments and had even asked the people to note for anti-Christian parties and in an unprecedented had its followers to choose between the Trishul and the Cross.

The Baptist church had sown the seeds for the formation of the NLFT a Christian fundamentalist organization which has been responsible for the ethnic violence and converting the local Hindus at the gunpoint in the state of Tripura. This trend can be observed when the demographics turn in the favor of the church. They decimate the local culture and animistic religion of the local tribes. Though acknowledging done by the missionaries in providing healthcare and educational facilities Hokishe Sema, former governor of Himachal Pradesh wrote about the cultural setback that Nagas had to face due to the emergence of Christianity.

“Everything done in connection with the tribal ceremonies and festivals was regarded as an act against Christianity. The house decoration with animal heads, which Nagas valued as their trophies of valor and, Mithun horns which were a symbol of prosperity and as well as objects of art were all destroyed. Even the wood carvings on the pillars of their houses were all ordered to be burnt. The weavings with conspicuous designs and colors and dying of the clothes and dresses for religious ceremonies was discouraged. The beautiful ornaments of great artistic and human values like cowries, ivory, scarlet hair and hornbills were burnt as they were ornaments for worshipping the spirits. The art of dancing and the colorful social ceremonies were all given up. The result is that all beautiful art and culture of Nagas disappeared”

(The emergence of Nagaland by Hokishe Sema- Pg no-54,55)

In the same book, Sema also laments about the fact that the Nagas were being westernized and they were neglecting their own culture and their own talent of weaving clothes. He adds the worst part of this was the loss of interest in their own way of life.

This shows that Christian missionaries do not stand with the secular principles and start converting people in the name of freedom of religion which is much more dangerous because this leads to the cultural extinction of a religion. In a country.

So, the desperation shown by the church in Nagaland elections is because it has lost its 160-year-old foothold in North-East.

In recent times too, comments of church in various elections prove that the Lakshman Rekha drawn around church has been breached and it has been done deliberately to stoke the Hindus.

Thus, it can be seen that whilst church is rapidly losing its popularity in secular European countries and it is just holding on in countries where the Christianity is a state religion, it is compensating this by fuelling proselytization and indulging in the political affairs of non-Christian with the help of money power, threatening and spreading misinformation through an organized chain of NGOs internationally.

Something that media never tells you about calculation of petrol prices

For years, there has been a blatant attempt to mislead the people with a year to year comparison of fuel prices in India as a yardstick of inflation measurement. In this article, I will put forward my argument to elaborate if anything which has to be blamed for the increase in the fuel prices it has to be the poor performance of the Indian foreign trade during the UPA 1 and 2.

It has to be understood that India is not endowed with reservoirs of crude oil. For this reason, every year India exhausts an extremely high percentage of its foreign exchange for purchasing crude oil from the oil producing and exporting countries. This premise makes the calculation of crude oil prices in India more of a concept from international trade and economics.

The balance of Payment accounts of a country systematically keeps a record of all the transaction from the country with the outside world. The account is broadly divided into current account and capital account. All the major economies (including India) of the world incur significant deficits in the current account. It means that most major economies import more and export less that leads to leaks in the valuable foreign exchange. However, developed economies such as USA, France, and Germany overcome this deficit with a surplus in their capital account. The developed economies have advanced financial markets that induce capital investments in the form of Foreign Direct Investment, Foreign Institutional Investors, Dometic Institutional Investments (FDI, FII, and DII). On the other end of the spectrum, there are newly industrialized nations and other developing countries that struggle to overcome their current account deficits with a surplus in their capital account because of the infancy of their financial markets.

A concept in economics – Time Value of Money better illustrates as to how developed economies successfully overcome their current account deficits. For instance, let us say that USA and China are two trading partners. A deficit in USA current account implies that China holds a higher amount of US Dollars than the USA holding the amount of Renminbi. How is the domestic market in China going to react to this? Because the extra amount that is held by a Chinese will earn him a better value if invested in the American financial market, a prudent investor will always prefer investing that extra amount of dollar in the American market. This flow continues until the deficit in the current account is set off by a movement in the capital account.

For years, the financial markets and international trade from India have been lacklustre. The primary reason for this is that our early economy was modelled on a socialist model from USSR. We created an environment that was abhorrently suspicious of entrepreneurship and risk-taking. We continued to incur total deficits for years. It was during the rule of the UPA 2 that the level of current account deficit in India peaked to a level of US$ 88.16 Billion. In fact, in all the years under the UPA 1 and 2, India has surprisingly recorded an increasing trade deficit year on year. Whereas, in every year under NDA the country has seen a reduction in deficit year on year. While looking at economic data, the election years are advised to be avoided because the government unreasonably increases its fiscal spending to induce inorganic growth.

When the continuing deficits pile up the stress on the economy, the country is majorly left with two measures -:

  1. Ask for monetary aid from international money lending institutions such as IMF and World Bank
  2. Increase the domestic prices of the commodities that are traded the maximum across the borders

When the prices for the crude and its allied products are decided, the government is left with no other option but to increase the domestic price. It is true that NDA has been most successful to overcome the trade deficits, but it is also true that the dismal performance of UPA to boost the cross-border trade left India with a significant lacuna to overcome. It has to be more than a little co-incidence that UPA has failed to reduced year on year deficit for every year post-2000. Their record of not able to curb deficits has been 100 percent. Whereas, the record of NDA to curb the deficits has been 100 percent.

Irving Fischer in his landmark study went on to give a hypothesis that if countries engage in international trade, their won’t eventually be a thing called inflation. The concept today is popularly taught in Universities across the world as International Fischer Effect.  If India wants to position itself firmly in the world, it will have to emphasize on cross-border business.

I would not deny the fact that Dr. Manmohan Singh holds excellent value as a finance minister who opened up the economy in 1991, but during the two terms as Prime Minister of India, Dr. Singh was unable to pull off something that he is a master at – Foreign Trade.

I hold to my argument that it is because of those deficits that we suffered during the UPA 1 and 2, the domestic consumers in India have today pay the extra amount of their pockets for everything that comes across borders – including crude and its allied products.

Why AAP cannot claim credit for CBSE Delhi school results

Like every year, CBSE School Board Exam results were declared in last week of May 2018. However, this year saw high political activity with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rushing to claim credit for the good performance of Delhi’s government schools over private schools.

Chief Minister Mr Kejriwal tweeted with usual rhetoric on how children in Delhi’s government schools delivered these results “despite obstacles created by LG, BJP and PM”.

Delhi’s Education Minister Mr Manish Sisodia also went overboard in claiming that pass percent in Government schools is 9% higher than that in private schools and this was achieved 2nd year in a row under AAP government.

However, this over-the-top rush for claiming credit appears grossly misplaced when the following aspects are taken into consideration –

  • Delhi’s government schools scoring a higher pass percentage than private schools is not new. While AAP has been in Delhi government only since 2015, there were similar headlines in 2012, 2013 and 2014 too

  • Government schools scoring a higher pass percentage than private schools is not limited to Delhi. Across India, CBSE government schools have a higher pass percentage than private schools. This has been the trend since 2013 (red line vs blue line in the graph below)

Data Source: here

  • Delhi government schools pass percentage in Class XII (green line in the graph above) has been in the same (~88%) range since 2013. There is no big improvement in pass percentage since AAP government taking over in 2015. However, pass percentage in Delhi’s private schools Class XII has dropped since 2015. This makes government schools appear having a higher pass percentage than private schools.

It is in the country’s interest that children receive a good education and are well equipped to contribute to society. However, this mad rush to claim credit when there’s no actual change on the ground is nothing more than petty politics.

The shadow politics of death threats to Indian journalists

0

On May 26th, an article was published in The Washington Post titled, ‘An Indian journalist has been trolled for years. Now U.N. experts say her life could be at risk.’ and the journalist in question here is Rana Ayyub. Anyone who has put in the effort to read this article will know what a hollow and pathetic attempt this article was at portraying this lady journalist as a perpetual victim. There was a huge furore over this as even the UN Human rights body has taken cognizance of these ‘Death threats’ to Rana Ayyub and has asked the Indian state to protect this journo, which like always, will be at the expense of the taxpayers.

Here is the funny thing about this UN Human rights ‘article’, the disclaimer on this article of this UN Human rights ‘Experts’ or ‘Special Rapporteurs’ is as below:

The Special Rapporteurs and Working Groups are part of what is known as the Special Procedures of the Human Rights Council. Special Procedures, the largest body of independent experts in the UN Human Rights system, is the general name of the Council’s independent fact-finding and monitoring mechanisms that address either specific country situations or thematic issues in all parts of the world. Special Procedures’ experts work on a voluntary basis; they are not UN staff and do not receive a salary for their work. They are independent of any government or organization and serve in their individual capacity.

This particular group operates on individual capacity. Now, we all know how subjective this ‘United nation human rights’ article can be when individual experts with designations such as Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief and Special Rapporteur on violence against women are in charge of coming up with such an article.

A reference was also made in the WP article to the murder of Gauri Lankesh, whose killers are not yet arrested by the way, even when the state is being ruled by the INC, who enjoys the complete and undying patronage of journalists such as Rana Ayyub and historians like Ramchandra Guha.

http://indianexpress.com/article/india/ramchandra-guha-gets-legal-notice-for-linking-rss-with-gauri-lankesh-murder-4839054/

This is exactly how the left wins the perception battle.

The last few days in the Indian media have been abuzz with mysterious death threats to journalists in India, surprisingly all of them left-leaning and Anti-BJP journos.

https://twitter.com/Abhina_Prakash/status/1000286081961476096

Death threats to these journalists, if at all there are, unfortunately, is not something new. Here was one such incident a few months back.

As usual, there was not much outrage in the media. In this case, there were credible threats and violence followed. Nothing of this sort has happened in the case of Rana Ayyub or Ravish Kumar, yet they enjoy the sympathy of foreign journos and UN Human rights *experts* committee.

All these sudden ‘death threats’ conveniently coming up before the run-up to the 2019 elections is eerily suspicious. If the death threats are credible and if these journos have trust in the Indian law and judicial system, they should lodge a complaint with the Indian police and follow it up and inform the public about the outcomes. Instead what we see is a perpetual communal victim-hood portrayal in the online space by these ‘Journos’. In the greater interest of journalistic ethics, we urge these journos to take up these issues seriously with the concerned authorities so that credible incidents such as the death threats to Rohit Sardana can be avoided in future and the guilty punished.

The cycle of violence in Bengal and why it refuses to end

0

The power to become habituated to his surroundings is a marked characteristic of mankind. My Bengal & the ‘Bhadralok Bangalis’  have become habituated to violence, bloodshed & riots.

While the state burns & people are in dire need of their CM to stand up to occasion, she is busy positioning herself as the fulcrum of opposition to take on Narendra Modi. The distress cry falls on deaf ears. The ignorance & the apathy of the Chief Minister & administration have left the people vulnerable to be tormented in the hands of rogues. In addition to it, there is the ‘sanctimonious’ national & regional media which mostly ignores the diabolical savageness in the state. And even if they do , they find & focus on an aberrant logic that-because Bjp is trying to expand its base in Bengal, violence are increasing in the state. Compare this with their reaction on issues such as temporary shortage of Tunday kebabs in Uttar Pradesh, a Bjp ruled state.

The last two, three months have been devastating for Bengal. Starting from the communal riots during Ram Navami to violence in the run up to panchayat election, the state machinery has been a mute spectator. And it is still not over after the elections & as things stand the violence is here to stay. In fact, things are going to worsen whether it is political or communal violence.

Let us analyse it point by point-

1) Communal Violence-

Broken roads and voices unknown
posters torn and crying children
seems like i am a riot now.
Protests, scratches and guns
scream and air filled with dust
seems like i am a riot now.”

As far as communal violence is concerned the following factors should be considered while elaborating it & why the cycle refuses to end.

A) Media narrative gives covering fire to TMC’s appeasement centric politics & emboldens them

The left liberal media has been vehemently trying to push forward their agenda that before BJP set its eyes on conquering Bengal , the state was immune to ‘communal violence’ .

For them, Bengal is a model state for secularism & a secular utopia of sorts & Didi is the guardian of secular politics. But have they forgotten about the Deganga communal riots of 2010 or the Canning riots of 2013 where 200 houses where burnt down by ‘peaceful’ citizens? Do they not remember about the rally organised in 2013 in support of the prime accused in the 1971 genocide in Bangladesh? Bjp was not a factor in Bengal politics till 2014 Lok Sabha elections. They were irrelevant in the electoral politics in Bengal. Or are they deliberately trying to erase it from the history so that they can put the onus of communalisation of Bengal on Bjp.

There has been a systematic effort to mute the voices of Hindu community. If one looks carefully it all started from the  Malda  riots back in 2016. The media overlooked it. Infact they went on to mock the sufferings of Hindus.

It was like ‘testing of the waters’ too see if there is any severe backlash & criticism & they succeeded mostly. Without social media whatever little attention the Malda riots drew it wouldn’t have got. More importantly, the local media particularly ABP Ananda’s disinterest in debating Malda riots gave the ruling party a boost to continue with their ‘secular politics’ .

B) Communal violence to intimidate & subdue the majority community

The ‘secular’ leaders of Bengal are of the view that the only way to stop this expansion of the saffron party is to intimidate & terrorise the Hindus. Make them fearful about the consequence of joining BJP. Be it Dhulagarh riots, Basirhat riots or banning Durga Visarjan on Vijay Dashami it is a well planned & synchronized effort to send a message across the state- Dear Hindus of Bengal you have no choice but to accept the dictats & live as a 2nd class citizen in this state

Consider this order Justice Dipankar Dutta passed on October 6, 2016: “There has been a clear endeavour on the part of the state government to pamper and appease the minority section of the public at the cost of the majority section without there being any plausible justification. The reason is, however, not far to seek. To put it curtly, the state government has been irresponsibly brazen in its conduct of being partial to one community.”

This was regarding the Visarjan ban but it can be applied to every aspect & every situation in Bengal.

Now consider the behaviour of Dipendu Biswas, the TMC MLA who represents the Basirhat Dakshin constituency. One of the victims of the Basirhat violence, Sutapa Dey told a daily newspaper: “Our MLA, Dipendu Biswas, accompanied the police, making sure that our boys were picked up. When the Muslims attack us, the police just sit quietly, and if we do anything, they come and arrest us. Mamata was insulted just because the Governor said something that is right… what about us, are we not insulted?”

Who is communalising  & polarizing Bengal politics with biasness towards different outfits?

On one hand a massive PFI rally demanding “Justice for Rohingyas” are allowed to be held choking the entire city & on the other hand, Mohan Bhagwat’s programme in a closed auditorium is cancelled on frivolous grounds.

C)Targeting religious festivals to instill fear among the majority community

Take the example of recent violence regarding Ram Navami celebration. The Tmc goons attacked Ram Navami processions & set a Ram Navami stage on fire

The irony is TMC itself organised Ram navami rallies to counter BJP & RSS. But our “liberal & unbiased” media termed it as colourful.

But in stark contrast media painted BJP, RSS & VHP as the villains for poisoning the atmosphere of Bengal.
FIR’swere filled against state Bjp leaders. Lord Ram was termed as an ‘alien’  God, a ploy to make the Bengali Hindus ashamed of their culture.

D) Forceful demography change

Hindus of Asansol were forced to  migrate & leave their place in fear of being attacked. The forced uprooting of the Hindus is a result of the violence reported after a Ram Navami procession was targeted with stones by members of the Muslim community of the area. As reported by the  Indian Express some hardline members of the minority community prevented the Hindus from carrying out a procession and sing Ram bhajans.

What is to be particularly noted is that while parts of the state were burning, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was busy meeting potential allies in New Delhi for the 2019 elections. Again a methodical process is being followed & executed . Add to it the influx of  Rohingyas  which can be catastrophic for the state. According to a report sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), nearly 40,000 thousand Rohingyas, who are currently staying in various parts of the country, have been reportedly instructed to settle down in Trinamool Congress-ruled state. This would only lead to futher tension & make the matter more complex.

2) Political Violence

Political violence is not a new phenomenon in Bengal. The cult of political violence had been ingrained and cemented in West Bengal by the lefts who ruled Bengal for a prolonged period. Whether it is Sainbari killings, Nanoor Massacre or
Nandigram Massacre the bloodshed & goriness has been constant in Bengal politics.

During the regime of communist due to the lack of media penetration &social media they got away easily. And this time around Mamata is getting a walkover by putting all the blames on “communal forces” who are trying to capture Bengal & media seems to readily swallow this without any further counter. Mamata Banerjee who herself was a victim of left violence has now resorted to the same thing. Infact she has gone a step ahead & mastered the arts of covering up the hooliganism of TMC even in this age of social media &  that is a no less feat to achieve. From filing nominations to the build up to panchayat polls &even after the results came out the violence refuses to wither out.

A) Violence in the build up to Panchayat polls-

This violence is a manifestation of a deeper issue and that, for me, is based on insecurity. In spite of enjoying a massive popularity across the state & particularly in the rural belt, Mamata is afraid of any slip ups. She does not want any dent on her rural popularity. & to dissipate her fears she allowed bloodshed & violence to be the dominant force in the build up to panchayat polls. Violence is literally ‘institutionalized’ in West Bengal’s political history & Mamata is simply following that pattern. Repeated & periodic violent clashes between the ruling and Opposition parties ensured the opposition candidates get threatened & do not fill the nominations & in the process, TMC ensured they won 1/3 rd seats unopposed even before votes are cast. Half the battle was won. Surely ‘democracy’ is not threatened & in danger in Bengal.

B) Violence on the poll day

With TMC winning more than 1/3rd seats unopposed one would have thought there would be no friction between the ruling party & the opposition on the polling. But Alas!

This is Bengal. Here violence is rewarded with electoral success & to fulfil Mamata’s insatiable quest to achieve the impossible 100% record more miseries were piled on opposition & voters. There was mayhem & complete chaos with reports of violence, booth rigging & journalists being thrashed coming from different parts of Bengal.

By the end of the polling day, 12 people had lost their lives. & instead of accepting their fault Rajya Sabha Mp & a close confidant of Mamata Banerjee Derek O Brien resorted to number crunching to bail his party out.  Even with shocking images being broadcast across the country through media channels, TMC’s Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien tried to justify the violence.

The election had turned into a commotion because no rules were followed. Police could not strengthen the security as they had to give in to the whims of TMC cadres.

A presiding officer, Rajkumar Roy lost his life. A  CPM  worker and his wife were burnt alive after their home was locked and set on fire allegedly by some Trinamool Congress men early morning on the polling day. Bogus voting was also seen, with people jamming polling booths, driving out the election personnel and even beating the police away. In some cases, booths were vandalised in an attempt to disrupt the polls. Ballot boxes were carried away in some instances and ballot slips burned or otherwise destroyed.

Ballot papers were even seen floating in a pond with locals trying to retrieve the ballot box thus leaving ballot box defence league liberals red-faced.

C) Violence even after results declared

Even after the polls concluded there was no end to the violence. Despite TMC adopting all foul means, it could not stop BJP to emerge as the dominant force in Bengal politics. The future elections will be a direct contest between Bjp & Tmc. The RSS influence is spreading & Didi is wary of it.

With BJP making inroads into unfamiliar territories which no one had expected based on the rigorous groundwork of RSS expect some brute decisions to be taken by Mamata Banerjee in future which will be justified as a step to curb ‘communal politics’ in Bengal. As days pass expect winning candidates of opposition to be pressurised by the ruling party to join their ranks while Mamata Banerjee preaches morality & ethics regarding horse trading. And while such things take place to expect the media & liberals to act as ignoramus hiding under the cloak of ‘neutrality’ because living on hypocrisy is a healthy diet for our liberals.

The majority community will be further pushed to submission by the biased decision-making of the state govt. There will be more communal riots in future where all the blames will be put on “communal Hindus” & “alien” God culture. And the illegal immigrants will thrive in this ‘Sonar Bangla’ & very soon they will have theist right to use the resources of Bengal.

Thus to conclude there is no joy or relief for Bengali Hindus living in Bengal until & unless some drastic steps are taken. While the bhadraloks are busy enjoying their delicacies, listening to Rabindra Sangeets & evening adda they are unaware of menace that lies in store for them & their future generation.

“The end comes soon. We hear drums, drums in the deep. They are coming.”

Four years into the Government and 4 critical failures of Modi Government

BJP led NDA Government has successfully completed four years of its five-year term. Various unprecedented successes on many fronts like the economy, infrastructural development etc. are indeed worth celebrating. We have finally managed to electrify every village. Connectivity to North-East India has been a priority for this Government and it shows the much needed massive infrastructure boost the region has received. Schemes like Ujjwala and Ujala cannot be praised enough. Introduction of Soil Health Card and 100% Neem Coating of Urea are game changers for farmers. Crop insurance schemes have seen decent success.

The Government is planning to start the world’s largest medical welfare program in form of National Health Protection Scheme which has been dubbed as ‘ModiCare’. One Rank One Pension has been implemented. And the death count of terrorists, both Islamic and communist, speaks for itself when it comes to zero tolerance towards terrorism.

Along with these and many more achievements in its development agenda, this Government has also done well on foreign affairs front, the highlight being the amazing handling of the Doklam issue. However, despite all these successes, there are also few broken promises and some failures which are like septic wounds being allowed to fester. And it seems that the Government doesn’t even want to look at the wounds as if turning its eyes and never speaking of them would make them go away. So, while the Minister’s boast of their achievements and BJP spokespersons pat themselves on the back on television screens, it is also important to remember their shortcoming. So, here’s a list of 4 failures of BJP.

1. The Lie of No Appeasement

When 2014 election campaign was underway we were promised “Development for all, appeasement for none” or “Vikas sabka, tushtikaran kisi ka nahi”. There could not have been a barer faced lie than this. If the BJP was serious about this promise the first thing that should have been done was that the “Appeasement Ministry” or as it is known by its euphemism, Ministry of Minority Affairs started by Sonia Gandhi in 2006 should have been scrapped. That has not been the case and UPA era appeasement schemes have not only been continued but their funding has been massively increased. And it doesn’t stop there. New, worse schemes of appeasement have been introduced in form of heavily funded Hunar Haat, USTTAD, Nayi Manzil, Padho Pardes, Nai Roshni, etc.

2. Failures in Education Reform

When it comes to the education sector, there have been no reforms. Be it changing the History syllabus or removing English apartheid present in the system or amending the discriminatory Right to Education Act (the 93rd Amendment to be more precise), there has been no action.

History books written by the likes of Ram Guha, Romila Thapar, Irfan Habib are still part of NCERT syllabus. This Colonial and Marxist reading of history skips over the glorious history of Ancient and Medieval India with no mention of the work of great sages like Bhaskar Acharya, Panini, Varah Mihir and many more. Barely a few paragraphs are written about the rein of India’s greatest empires and kings like Mauryan empire and king Chandragupta. And the history of South India is completely skipped. The Vijayanagara Empire was a major world power but I doubt how many kids have even heard its name. The crimes of Islamic invaders have been swept under the rug. Even though chapters are dedicated to inconsequential kings of Delhi, the temple destruction, genocides, and forced conversions don’t find a mention. Why are our kids still taught this?

Problems with RTE law need their own articles. Here’s one: https://rightlog.in/2017/01/rte-act-assault-hindu-run-institutions/

3. The Looting of Temples

Forget Ram Mandir. Let’s say the case is in Court. Let’s also forget the more than 10000 temples that have been captured as mosques like those of Kashi and Mathura and all over the nation. Let’s talk about those temples that are free and used by Hindus.

Recent Tirupati Tirumala Devsthanam board controversy is not unique and is only the symptom. The real problem is Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act. A simple explanation of everything wrong with it can be found here. BJP has 20 State Governments which continue to loot temples as this article is being written. Maharashtra Government under CM Devendra Fadnavis repeatedly loots the Sidhivinayak temple. They can free at least the temples in BJP ruled States

An ordinance can be bought today and this menace can be ended. In fact, a draft law to replace HRCE has been sent to the PM by scores of passionate people. This was, however, the response they got:

4. Bringing Back Stolen Heritage

More than 70000 Murthis and artifacts, stolen and smuggled from various temples and palaces across India from before and after independence, are awaiting return. In fact, some work was done towards bringing them back too. But there was no follow up and those efforts became meaningless. India Pride Project is a group of activists working towards finding them all, but it is the Government that ultimately has to get them back. Here’s what they had to say about Government inaction ‘Bring back Indian idols from abroad’, says Telangana and Andhra Pradesh heritage activists.

Dear Mumbai Mirror, Smriti Irani is a tale that needs to be told, and probably retold

Dear Mumbai Mirror Editor,

Nobel winner and writer of the classic The Stranger, Albert Camus had said… maybe it is not about the ending, but the story. And Smriti Irani is a tale that needs to be told and probably retold till people really understand how a middle-class girl by the sheer dint of her hard work rose in the ranks of a rather patriarchal society fighting insurmountable odds.

More so, the present textile minister, despite launching gritty initiatives like 39 percent increase in allocation for the remission of state levies (ROSL) in the Budget, resuscitated the export of textiles as she found small steps that went a big way in achieving her goal of making India proud globally.

She was the fountainhead of the sustainability movement that urged youngsters to abandon neoprene and embrace what’s truly Indian – cotton. But sometimes silent voices get dimmed by the archlights of national politics, where the stage is bigger and players often more vociferous even though her thought process on making “garments without guilt” and urging manufacturers to use organic dyes were applaud worthy. As well as a proposed Rs 100 cr textile park for Karnataka and Rs 5 crore for a yarn bank to aid silk weavers.

A simple research will tell you how instrumental Smriti Irani has been, in starting garment manufacturing centres in the northeast under the North East Region Textile Promotion Scheme employing locals youth, which also in turn, subtly handled the largely growing insurgency problems. The total of Rs 690 crores made 21 Readymade Garment manufacturing (RMG) units in seven states up and about.

I personally find the minister adept at social media and ingenious in thinking about campaigns that resonate with the psyche of millennials, cutting across all age groups. Her campaign on Twitter under the hashtag #CottonIsCool was an earnest attempt to throw the spotlight on the fact that India is the largest cotton producing country in the world.

The Selfie-with-Handloom also made wearing handlooms once considered coarse and not malleable finally reach the wardrobe of not just the Left-wing intellectuals, but also young fashionable, gown loving women who often forget that the sari is not a sorry silhouette, but has immense socio-economic-cultural relevance. Interestingly, 43 lakh weavers are part of the textile industry and 78% of them are women making the oft-called second sex the first one here.

Even though Smriti is no longer holding two portfolios, a few who think that it’s the autumn of her roller-coaster career are mistaken. As Camus says, “Autumn is the second spring, when every leaf is a flower.”

Think about it.

The Hindu Right Wing has many representatives on social media platforms. A large amount of time is spent in responding to crazy mutterings of the left liberals. Such liberal craziness needs to be well-documented and completely exposed. The liberal left also has a big social media presence. A typical series of events can be seen to happen almost daily.

  1. A left spokesperson spews some hateful bile about Hinduism, Modi, Hindutva or some other matter close to the hearts of the RW crowd.

2. Suddenly, Hindu RW social media accounts and websites start quoting and criticising the unfortunate brain fart.

3. Liberals start playing the victim card and begin complaining to all those who would listen. As a result, many RW accounts get suspended and liberals get a free promotion in their miserable careers.

The same vicious cycle of giving free promotion has been going on in the world of social media, and other forums. The careers of such assorted liberals such as @VORdotcom, Ram Guha, and others have been boosted generously by the outrage of Indian RW.

It is well known how much of a massive infrastructure the left have in the form of mainstream media, academics and government administration. These Breaking India forces are also abundantly supplied by foreign funds as has been repeatedly exposed on opindia and elsewhere.

How to expose and boycott liberals?

It may be time to consider the best approach to responding to the insane utterances of the liberal left. It has to be done in such a way that their miserable careers do not get free publicity and website visits. Every Hinduphobic incident needs to be exposed and publicised. However, this should be done in such a way that the careers of the Hinduphobes are not boosted.

Linking to websites like Wire and BuzzFeed and quoting liberal social media accounts only helps to promote the Breaking India forces. Maybe it is time to start using the internet archive and screenshots to expose such forces.

5 ways to combat totalitarianism

0

The world today recognises the hundreds of millions of victims of communism.

In the 20th century, Marxism emerged as the single biggest threat to humanity and it’s way of life. The oppressive, inhuman regimes guiding Marxism were described as totalitarian.

For several decades of the 20th century, intellectuals all over the world upheld the oppressive regimes by whitewashing their crimes. India has the misfortune to be one of the last places in the world where this ideology still has significant backing among the class of ivory tower intellectuals.

Monotheistic ideologies of the Abrahamic faiths have also had the tendency to impose their worldview and beliefs on the rest of the world. The Pope, representative of the largest monotheism, admitted that both his church and Islam share the idea of conquest.

Hindus all over the world have been one of the major targets of attack by the triple threat of marxist, mullah and missionary. All three ideologies have had devastating effects on the lives of Hindus. The peaceful and pluralistic way of life of Hinduism has been repeatedly interfered with and disrupted. In places like Kashmir, Pakistan and Bangladesh, Hindus have faced continuous religious persecution and ethnic cleansing.

To combat these ideologies, the following strategies can be followed:

  1. Intellectual arena: Writing and reading books, articles and pamphlets. Publishing of popular videos, podcasts and other digital media. Conducting debates, seminars, lectures and courses. The internet has become the best avenue to fight the battle for the mind.
  2. Legal battles: Many discriminatory laws exist to persecute Hindus in violation of fundamental rights offered to all citizens by the constitution. These have to be legally challenged and overthrown.
  3. Physical fitness: In order to be taken seriously, one needs to be physically fit and agile. Swami Vivekananda emphasised the importance of physical fitness by quoting the Upanishadic statement “nayamatma balahinena labhyah“: the self cannot be realized by the physically weak.
  4. Social arena: Community festivals and yagnas need to be organised and celebrated. These events form the basis of a free dharmic society. Temples need to once again become the center of Hindu life. Legal battles need to fought to free temples from the clutches of corrupt bureaucrats and politicians.
  5. Institutions: It has to be first accepted that the academia, the media and the bureaucracy in India and the west are permanently damaged institutions. These institutions have make their livelihood by defaming and destroying indigenous Hindu cultures. The way to fight the totalitarian establishment is to not play the game on their terms. Hindus should build and promote alternative media and institutions that expose the charlatanry of the enemies of dharma.

CJ Werleman, Hinduphobia and Fake News

CJ Werleman is a journalist and writer who was initially known for his Anti-Islamic views, but now he has flipped his side and claims to be fighting Islamophobia. But one thing which remains consistent with CJ Werleman is Fake News. Whichever side he chooses, he hardly bothers about facts and truth. In this article, I have listed out those 10 cases where CJ Werleman deliberately shared ‘Fake News’ and twisted the stories.

Case 1:

CJ Werleman, tweets on 13th Feb 2018:

Link to the Tweet is Here: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/979033223752646657?s=19

As per CJ Werleman, the man and woman in the video are lovers, where the man is Muslim and the girl is Hindu and the people around them, who could be seen harassing “the man and woman” are ‘HINDU EXTREMISTS’.

The Truth:

Soon after CJ Werleman posted this tweet, several Twitter users pointed out that, this is a fake narration by CJ Werleman. A popular news portal, Opindia, busted the lies of CJ Werleman which could be read here: http://www.opindia.com/2018/02/us-based-columnist-tries-to-flare-communal-violence-again/

The truth about this video is that a woman with her fiancé went out and few goons started harassing them. There is absolutely no religious angle involved in the case. In fact, 3 out of 4 goons who could be seen harassing the couple were Muslims. Their names are Anis, Nadeem, and Suhel.

Case 2:

Werleman tweeted this on 28th March 2018:

Here is the link to the tweet: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/979033223752646657?s=19

According to CJ Werleman, the video “shows Hindutva fanatics destroying 25 Muslim owned business and property”.

Truth:

The truth is completely different! On 2nd April 2018, a fact-checking website, SM Hoax Slayer, exposed the falsehood peddled by CJ Werleman. Read it here: http://smhoaxslayer.com/a-verified-twitter-handle-cj-werleman-spread-lies-for-communal-hatred/

The Truth of this case is that the video posted by CJ Werleman is not connected in any way with “Hindutva fanatics destroying Muslim owned business and property”. The video is of a violence happened in Koregaon, which has absolutely nothing to with ‘Muslims’, as falsely alleged by CJ Werleman.

CASE 3:

On 23rd Feb 2018, CJ Werleman tweeted this:

Link to the tweet is here: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/966793305097842688?s=19

CJ Werleman alleges that a Muslim man was beaten to death by “Hindu extremist group” after a false accusation of kidnapping.

The Truth:

As always, CJ Werleman twisted the story. Yes! In an unfortunate incident, a Muslim man, named Faisal, was beaten to death after a false accusation of kidnapping. But, he was not beaten to death by any “Hindu extremist mob”. You can watch the entire news video he posted, the mob which beaten him to death was not “Hindu extremist mob” but barely local people who thought that Faisal has kidnapped kids. To conclude, there is absolutely NO religious angle involved in this case.

Case 4:

CJ Werleman, on 23rd March 2018 tweeted this:

Here is the link to this tweet: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/976926324957720577?s=19

Hence, CJ Werleman professes that on 18th March [2018], Hindu/RSS thug terrorized Muslim community in Rajasthan and police despite being present on the spot, did nothing.

The Truth:

As for now, it is very evident that CJ Werleman has mastered the art of “twisting stories”.

In this case, the video which he has posted is a scene from violence which erupted when MUSLIMS pelted stones on HINDUS who were celebrating “Hindu New Year”. Read the report here: https://swarajyamag.com/insta/stones-pelted-from-mosque-on-hindu-rally-in-rajasthans-tonk-several-including-cops-injured

You can watch the full video here: https://www.indiatvnews.com/video/news/communal-tension-grips-rajasthan-s-tonk-eight-people-injured-in-stone-pelting-433319

So it was Muslims who pelted stones on Hindus which broke out the communal clash, but CJ Werleman, instead of accusing Muslims, somehow concluded that it is Hindus who are to be accused.

CASE 5

On 27th April 2018, CJ Werleman tweeting following:

Here is the link to the tweet: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/989890476890181632?s=19

Please keep in mind, CJ Werleman said that Christians are forcibly ‘converted’ to Hinduism.

The Truth:

All the readers can watch the video posted by Werleman, it nowhere says that Christians are forcibly converted to Hinduism.

The particular video reports an incident where Pastors who were distributing religious pamphlets were brought to a temple and ashes (which is considered Holy in Hindu tradition) was applied to their faces.

Yes! What happened was wrong. Because if pastors were distributing certain pamphlets which hurt religious sentiments of others, then people should have reported it to Police instead of doing what they did. But what happened with those pastors could be called ‘manhandling’ and not ‘conversion’. There are many news channels which reported this incident and none of them says that pastors were converted to Hinduism.

CASE 6:

CJ Werleman tweeted this on 3rd May 2018:

Link to the tweet is here: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/992072410529583104?s=19

Essentially, Mr. Werleman was making his point that we see Hindus killing Muslims over cow-killing charges whereas India earns a huge profit by the export of beef.

The Truth:

It evidently appears that Mr. Werleman, de facto never bother to check the facts but love to draw parallels!

Firstly, India doesn’t export cow beef. Under India’s “Export Policy 2012” beef of cows, oxen and calf are prohibited to be exported.

In fact, you can go to government’s website and check all the animal products which are exported by Government of India. It doesn’t include cow beef. Here is the link: http://agriexchange.apeda.gov.in/indexp/MainheadPrdGrp_prdwise.aspx?gcode=%270401%27,%270402%27,%270403%27,%270404%27,%270405%27,%270406%27,%270407%27,%270408%27

The beef which is exported by India is the beef of buffalo, not of cow.

So Mr. Werleman, India doesn’t export cow meat, so don’t create such a perception that Hindus kill Muslims for cow-killing and at the same time, they export cow meat.

Case 7:

On 27th March 2018, CJ Werleman tweeted:

Here is the link to this tweet: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/978698580125822976?s=19

The Truth:

Mr. Werleman has a detrimental habit of not narrating the full story and building a false perception in others mind.

Yes! There occurred this instance in Samastipur where people belonging to Hindu community raised flags and banners in front of a mosque. But this isn’t the whole story.

Hindu community raised flags and banners in front of a mosque as a way of protest to what Muslims did on March 26, at around 8:00 pm. When Hindus were processing with their sacred tradition of immersing Goddess Durga idols in a river, people from mosque thrown slipper on them. And this atrocious behaviour of Muslim community resulted in communal tension. Full report of this incident could be read here: http://indianexpress.com/article/india/samastipur-communal-violence-bihar-hindu-muslim-ram-navami-clash-nitish-kumar-5129392/

Case 8

On 13th November 2017, CJ Werleman labeled Imam Tawhidi as “fake Imam” by saying “you have no formal Islamic credentials”.

The Truth:

This allegation of CJ Werleman against Imam Tawhidi turned out to be utterly FAKE.

Royal United Services Institute conducted an investigation into the credentials of Imam Tawhidi and found and found them true. A statement made by Royal United Service Institute clearly states “Imam Tawhidi is indeed qualified to represent Islam and the Muslim community”.

CASE 9:

CJ Werleman on 3rd March 2018, tweeted:

Here is the link to the Tweet: https://twitter.com/cjwerleman/status/969687464183910400?s=19

The Truth:

In inertia of peddling fake news, it seems, CJ Werleman has even lost his common sense.

First of all, in Delhi on 1st March, a female student alleged that a semen filled balloon was thrown at her. But when an investigation was conducted, it was found that there was no semen in balloons which were thrown.

In all probability, the female student might have misunderstood something sticky as semen.

But what about people like CJ Werleman? Don’t they carry basic common sense to understand that no normal man can discharge so much of semen which would fill an entire balloon?

But just because CJ Werleman wants to run his Hinduphobic agenda, it seems, he doesn’t even bother to apply common sense.

CASE 10:

CJ Werleman tweeted this:

Link to this tweet is unavailable because CJ Werleman has already deleted this tweet.

The Truth:

Actually, CJ Werleman posted a video where policemen could be seen forcefully entering a house. Posting this video, CJ Werleman first said that Hindu extremist attacked the mosque, but because Muslims remained unprovoked, then Indian police along with Hindu extremists attacked Muslim youth.

As usual, it’s just another whopper by CJ Werleman.

The true incident is that:

An innocent Hindu man, Chandan Gupta was killed by radical Jihadis for carrying out ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Muslim dominated area. After this, suspects went missing. So the house in which policemen could be seen forcefully entering is the house where suspects were supposedly hidden.

But instead of condemning what Muslim Jihadis did, CJ Werleman created his own story to deceive people.

As a consequence of his false propaganda, Kasganj Police even registered a FIR against CJ Werleman.

Readers, it appears to me that CJ Werleman works in a very fixed pattern. He often shares videos without mentioning their source and he gives an entire FAKE narration to the video to defame India and in particular, Hindu society. And when individuals or organizations bust his agenda, he just deletes those tweets to get away with entire matter. While searching his Twitter account, I got many more videos which I’m sure are not related to the way CJ Werleman narrated them, but because I couldn’t trace their original source, I’m not calling it FAKE. Not just Hindu community, CJ Werleman’s false agenda runs against even Christians and Jews, but in this article, I have only disclosed his agenda against Hindus.

I know, no matter how much we expose people like CJ Werleman, they will keep peddling their false narrative of fighting Islamophobia, but this article is written keeping those honest people in the mind who unknowingly fall into the trap of Hinduphobics like CJ Werleman.
