The sparks stand neglected

0

Neglected, and the spark burns the house. This is an old saying but in the current day context it has got greater significance. That stage at which the modern man has reached, it is expected that there are least chances of neglecting the sparks which have the capability of causing great fires and great destructions. So, man today knows what the consequences of such neglect could be.
Modern stage is not only about the availability of collective wisdom of the entire humanity at a single place but it is also about the availability of the wisdom of all the previous ages plus that of the current age to majority of the people. The treasures of knowledge and the ultramodern technology have made this possible for the modern man and hence expecting that the man would neglect any sparks is not normally thought of, there normally should be least chances of such neglects.

Unfortunately, neglects do take place and some of the neglects are committed by the men, groups and nations who are least expected to do that. It is worth mentioning here that the neglects committed by ordinary men are not usually of too much of concern for they cause not too much of harm but when extraordinary men and multitudes of men commit the neglects, the repercussions of such neglects are huge and at time they precipitate as threats to the existence of the entire groups and nations and even to the entire global order.

Such neglects, the neglects of the latter kind, are being committed at every stage of human association and by the people and nations who are not expected by anyway to commit such neglects. If we see the global order, the issue of nuclear weapons is neglected. It is expected that the assured mutual destruction capability of these weapons is enough of a deterrent to deter the nuclear weapons possessing nations to use them.

This is a false perception equivalent of expecting too much or being too big idealists. Assured mutual destruction is a deterrent but not an assurance that such weapons would never be used. Considering the level and type of issues and conflicts that exist in the current day world order any accident or intention can result in the outbreak of a nuclear war, an all out war may be, God forbid.

May be man might avoid such a war on account of the conflicts and pending disputes between and within nations but nuclear war on account of scarcity of some vital natural resources could be an imminent possibility. Water is one such resource which could become a reason for future wars where nuclear weapons in all possibility might be used.

It has been observed that the nuclear weapons possessing nations are trying to make changes in their nuclear weapons which they could use against their adversaries, while taking the adversaries in surprise and unprepared for such a strike. Plus, there is a possibility of some countries using these weapons in desperation.

As such, global leaders should in all earnestness realize the gravity of the situation and initiate fresh measures to deal with the issue of nuclear weapons. The ultimate objective should be to eliminate these weapons altogether but as that is not practically feasible at this stage of the human history, the leaders should try to ensure other safeguards beyond the mutually assured destruction.

These safeguards include the resolution of all the unresolved conflicts and disputes. That attitude for the resolution of these problems should be compromise and consensus, where all the parties are ready to give something and take the other. Where all the parties associated with the issue are taken on board, their sides of the story given a patient hearing and trying to accommodate as much to the interests of the parties concerned without adversely affecting any party.

Another issue at the global level which stands neglected is that of the environment. Man has caused enough damage to the environment around. The level of damage is immense, if not humongous. Though the culprits who have caused this damage, and are causing major part of this damage, are only few of the rich countries of the world but the symptoms and repercussions are bound to be faced by the whole of humanity. Some of the signs of the adverse consequences of environmental degradation are already visible in many parts of the world.

The world bodies and the national institutions and organizations have so far failed in reversing the environmental degradation. The hostile attitude of some of the global leaders like the United States makes the future prospects bleak. Others also show least concern for the state and health of the environment; they only pass the buck of the blame.

In this case also a rational approach is the need of the hour. All the countries need to realize their role and take their share of responsibility, in proportion more or less of the damages they have caused to the environment. Those who have caused less of damage to the environment must not expect that the industrialized countries will do everything in the matter; their also is a role, an important role. Environment if left unattended has the capability of causing damage greater in proportion that can be caused by nuclear weapons of a country, if not greater but at least equal to that.

A healthy global order demands progressive and powerful nation states. In case the nation states become weak they might be rendered incapable of taking their share of responsibilities to keep the world going. Failure to take up their share of responsibilities by the national states could worsen all the other global and national issues.

It could make the safety of the nuclear weapons vulnerable. It could make the issue of environmental degradation tougher to deal with. It could provide fertile ground for extremist and anarchists. It could create a situation of lawlessness and breakdown of the healthy relation of the ruled and the rulers. And it could leave the masses with the only option but to act as atomized individuals turning the conditions as nasty, brutish, short and isolated.

To deal with this issue is to deal with all the nation weakening issues, agents, problems and people. The issues of communalism, criminalization of politics and other spheres of life, regionalism, poverty, hunger, homelessness and all the others need to be taken up for their solutions and resolutions.

It has been observed that many people and politicians keep these issues always unaddressed to keep them in power. This should not happen now, somewhere breaks have to be applied on such politicians and people. Else they are going to keep the nation states hostage for ages to come in these chronic and acute problems. It is reiterated, the irresolution of these problems somehow impacts the healthy global relations adversely in the globalized world.

In all the aforementioned and above discussed issues and the rest the sparks stand neglected. However, there always remains a gap and time which a spark needs to turn into fire. Perhaps we are passing through that gap and that time. At this stage the sparks can still be prevented from turning into fire and burning the house. The burning of the house this time might mean the disruption and destruction of the entire world. The house needs to be protected at all costs.

Anti-Brahmin upper caste politics of DMK and neglect of Dalit

0

After engineering hatred against Brahmins, God and Hindi, DMK swept power in Tamil Nadu in 1967 with the promise that the party would create new social order and justice. C.N. Annadurai became the first DMK Chief Minister of TN. He amended laws for self-respect and gave gold medals to encourage inter-caste marriage and also renamed the state. Such a historic reformist’s governance also had a dark side – the Kilvenmani massacre that took the life of 44 farm workers belongs to schedule caste who were burnt to death due to wage struggle. But the government showed callous attitude towards the massacre.

The work of Mythily Sivaram clearly shows how DMK downplayed the massacre and erased the same from public memory. The demise of Annadurai, M Karunanidhi became the Chief Minister of the state in 1969 and introduced the schemes of concrete houses for SCs under Slum Clearance Board and increased the % of reservation to different backward communities.

The second term of M. Karunanidhi (1971 to 1976) witnessed the resignation of the prominent women Harijan Welfare Minister Sathyvani Muthu accusing M Karunanidhi for neglecting the interest of Dalit. She later formed a party called Thazthapattor Munnetra Kazhagam and later the party merged with MGR’s AIADMK in 1977.

Sathyavani Muthu could not affect the winning prospects of DMK because Harijan community was never a significant factor for DMK or its parent body as the party was always dominated by high caste non-Brahmin communities. The another Dalit face of the party Mr. Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, who defeated Sathyvani Muthu in 1984 later joined AIADMK citing the same reasons as Sathyavani Muthu.

The allegation of no respect for Dalit in DMK had good substance. For example, the Coimbatore-based senior Dalit DMK leader who was a contemporary of Annadurai, CT Dhandapani was once publicly insulted on the basis of his caste by the then local minister Pongalur Palanisamy and his wife, both of whom belong to the powerful OBC Kongu Vellala Gounder caste. Similarly even during the times of Justice Party, Dalit leader M.C. Rajah quit the party citing lack of sincerity in DMK towards untouchability.

The third term of M. Karunanidhi (1989 to 1991) saw the fulfilment of Vanniyar demand for a separate reservation which was denied by MGR. In 1987 Vanniyars resorted to agitation against Dalit and most backward and burned nearly 5000 huts etc. The response of the state towards such incident was quite pitiable.

The term of M Karunanidhi in 1996 was quite tough as Dalit renaissance again started to challenge him ideologically and the political chemistry between left, Puthiya Tamilagmam and Dalit Panthers of India started to worry him. During this period Southern TN faced worst caste clashes between Mukkulathors and Devendra Kula Vellalars along with Dalit which changed the political landscape of Tamil Nadu. This had pushed the culture of DMK towards caste appeasement politics.

As a result of such politics, M Karunanidhi introduced Veeran Sundarlingam Transport Corporation and then he made himself in a soup of bitter caste conflicts. Thevars started to push their demand and finally DMK has to remove its appeasement politics of naming transport survives with the names of communities.

To revive his image as the true crusader of social justice, he invented a new very poorly thought over idea called Samathuvapurams but that flopped badly. Only remarkable thing is that his elder son Azhagiri married a Devendra kulla vellalar and led an example for social justice.

During the fifth term, M Karunanidhi, he cleverly used the alliance strategy with Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi to rebuild his image among Dalit. Besides politics, M Karunanidhi also at intellectual level deceived Dalit by not giving their due share of recognition.

The very idea of Dravidian identity itself was conceived in 1886 by Rev. John Rathinam a Dalit priest and the Dravida Mahajana Sabha was formed in 1991 by Iyothee Thass another Dalit face.  None of these persons were ever recognized by DMK.

The Madras united league a non-Brahmin organization formed under C Natesa Mudaliar in 1912 was renamed as Dravidian association without even acknowledging the progenitors of them who were Dalit.

The non-Brahmin, upper caste culture of DMK cleverly suppressed the role of prominent leaders of Dalit such as Rettamalai Srinivasan, MC Rajah, N Sivaraj, Meenambal Sivaraj etc,

The caste politics of DMK under Karunnidhi was revolving around certain communities such as Thevar, Kongu Vellalars and Vanniyars. In many districts such as Salem, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Karur, Thanjavur etc., the dominance of ministers and party leaders from the local dominant castes even Karunanidhi could not control.

In DMK, the chance of a Dalit district secretary competing against the powerful caste in the respective region was almost a day dream.

The allocation of ministerial berths was also done only on caste basis where Dalit were given only insignificant ministries like Adi Dravidar welfare or animal husbandry.

The untouchable remain untouchable in Tamil Nadu during the entire DMK regime except some symbolic gestures and DMK also brought Brahmins into the untouchable list of people.

If the untouchable Brahmins and Dalit join together with Narendra Modi led BJP, a New Tamil Nadu is possible and the present Dravidian politics can be banished.

Instead of creating a casteless state, caste majoritarian appeasement politics only DMK perfected to come to power and to retain good will of such caste arithmetic, the Dalit were side lined, silenced and silently neglected along with fueling hatred against Brahmins.

Undoubtedly DMK used anti Brahmin plank as one of its masks to show it is for the oppressed class but how far the oppressed class reformed and came to the mainstream in comparison with the caste intermediaries in TN remain a million dollar question. Nevertheless DMK sowed dream and reaped gold and certainly Brahmins heavily paid for DMK’s success in Tamil Nadu.

Why the C3 ecosystem is poverty dependent

0

In the 2019 elections, Indian voters will have an opportunity to dismantle an ecosystem that kept them in desperate poverty for nearly half a century after independence. Better labelled as the “C3 Ecosystem”, it is an almost organic entity throttling civilizational renewal and socio-economic transformation. What is this “C3 Ecosystem”? It is the still dominant ecosystem generated by a triangular and incestuous relationship, consolidated since 1947, between:

  1. Congress party dynasts and their flunkeys, who have dominated the political scene almost totally – and invested a lot of political capital as well as government funds on strengthening the cult of the Gandhi family;
  2. Communists, who provided the ideological underpinnings with a socialist sheen, while perpetrating a system for the Maoists to thrive in – and covering it all in the garb of secularism, through effective control over the educational institutions.
  3. Converters of Abrahamic faiths who saw, in the social terrain that emerged as a result, fertile ground for the “harvesting of souls” – and thus developed a symbiotic political relationship with the Congress (vote-banks), alongside ideological inter-connections with the Communists (activist priests).

In theory, the objectives of all the above were variously described as the “upliftment of society”, the “ending of poverty”, “the furtherance of social reform”, “ridding India of the caste system” and so on in multiple permutations. In practice, very little was done for any of the above; and whatever was done happened in spite of this ecosystem, not because of it.

The carriers of the lifeblood of information within this ecosystem formed its final pillar, the Fourth Estate. This was, and is, a comprehensively compromised network of journalists, anchors, owners and the like. They were dependent on the state and party funds that helped prop up their (often very fancy) livelihoods, at a time when secular socialism did not permit the free-wheeling capitalistic media sector that we have today.

The people in this group were sometimes slaves and sometimes facilitators but mostly opportunists. Today they are the paragons of virtuous journalism in India, and many more have joined their ranks. In social media, a very large population views this group as a sort of slimy fifth column.

The C3 ecosystem, which quickly replaced the British colonial structure, soon understood that maintaining existing divides between people, and exacerbating them, was a perfectly workable way to keep themselves in power. And the easiest way to do this was keep the population in poverty, so they were easier to misguide, enrage and manipulate. Each segment of the ecosystem benefited from this. Here is how:

The Cult of the Gandhi Family was developed over decades of careful image management, and of patronage creep into every institutional nook and corner. This resulted in a network super-structure of financially lucrative two-way dependencies that kept out virtually everyone else who did not buy into this cult, or at least pretend to. Poor people look-up to dynasties, and revere them, much more easily than do educated and self-dependent individuals. They much more readily vote for the image and for promises that will be unkept from a dynasty than from an unknown who looks and talks just like them.

So “Garibi Hatao” notwithstanding, nothing was ever done to fundamentally address the vast and painful poverty of India. The person who finally set the wheels of real structural economic changes in motion was PV Narasimha Rao – a leader beloved of many, except the Gandhi family. Sonia Gandhi, born a Roman Catholic in Italy, did not allow Rao cremation space in New Delhi. He was not a Gandhi, you see, and perhaps she sensed that what he had done would eventually be the undoing of the family cult.

The Communists thrive in poverty, and only in poverty – unless, of course, like the Chinese, they just retain the name and become capitalists red in teeth and claw. But our Communists have neither the gumption, nor the political courage, or even the political unity within their own party to truly make such changes. So they remain stuck to the Urban/Rural Naxal model, which they have been wedded to from the start.

The Urban Naxals sing the praises of socialism and developmental indices, keeping the intelligentsia in thrall with khadi kurtas and soft voices. The rural Naxals try to overthrow the state with revolutionary songs, brutal killings and tactics that resemble those of the genocidal Khmer Rouge.

That they managed to keep doing this for so many decades, pulling the wool over so many eyes, is testament to the foreign support they had as well as the viability of the ecosystem they plugged into. That the common man in India, nevertheless, saw through it and rejected it so strenuously is even more of a miracle – though they continue to survive in stubborn pockets. But their vote shares began running out almost as soon as the Rao reforms began to deliver results.

The Converters, from the two proselytizing Abrahamic faiths, are a much subtler group – and they have been around much longer than the other two. It is not for nothing that the Church in India, which reflects the religious aspirations of less than 2.5% of the population, is the second largest landowner in the country. It is important to note that these are not two monolithic groups and that there are several sects in each that do not get into the business of conversion in any serious way. It is also important to note that the Muslim organisations are less aggressive proselytizers than the Christians, despite their numbers.

Yet it is equally important to internalise the reality that the aggressively converting organisations are not independent entities. They take their marching orders from headquarters in Europe and the US. The power wielded by these groups, as an integral part of this C3 ecosystem, can be seen clearly, and frequently. For example, compare the alacrity with which Hindu gurus and swamis are arrested, prosecuted and sentenced with the tardiness and lackadaisical approach taken towards priests or imams who are accused of similar crimes. The recent episode of alleged nun-rapist Father Franco Mulakkal is an egregious case in point, but not the only one.

Poverty is the absolutely necessary seedbed of conversion activity. It is at this level that souls can be harvested on the cheap, an investment with returns in perpetuity. If people start to move out of poverty, as they are doing at a very high rate (about 44/minute as per a Brookings Institute study), then the harvesting of souls becomes much more complicated and certainly more expensive. It also undercuts a very fundamental response to questions about the morality of conversion activity – which is “if you Hindus cannot take care of your poor, why do you complain if someone else lifts them out of poverty”? Of course, this ignores the fact that Hindus were rendered exigent by Muslim invaders and Christian colonialists, who wore their faith on their sleeves – but that’s another story for another time.

Why The Modi Government Is So Reviled By The C3 Ecosystem

Seen in the above context, it is understandable why the C3 ecosystem is now fighting with every means at its disposal, internally and externally generated, to come back to power again. Anywhere possible. They see their sectarian vote-banks, ideological bases and their soul seedbeds disappearing with every passing year.

This was already happening by 2004, consequent to another five-year run by the NDA. This might explain why between 2004-2014 the economy appears to have been deliberately driven into the ground through a combination of crony capitalism, corruption and cynical politicking – on steroids.

Today, Congress politicians are pledging a roll-back of key Modi government policies when (not if) they take over in 2019. Be certain that the old Congress system of patronage and privilege will return immediately, and they will punish with a very personal viciousness those whomever they saw as weakening the ecosystem. And certainly, ordinary Indians will stop leaving poverty behind at the rate of 44 people/minute.

Critics of the Modi government, including some BJP supporters, must note what that will mean. And when there are complaints that the focus is only on development, and not on “core” issues, it must be understood that there is no security or strength for the “core” so long as poverty reduction is not addressed with absolute priority.

On the contrary, when the poverty issue is addressed steadily and powerfully as the government has been doing, then addressing the core issues become a matter of course. See, for instance, how pointless the whining about the Sardar Patel statue has been, and how quickly the name change from Allahabad to Prayagraj disappeared from the front pages. Development enables the core.

Pritish Nandy who is currently columnist with Times of India and Dainik Jagran, tweeted a Facebook post photo on Twitter taking a dig at Statue Of Unity.

While doing fact check, second Pic used in post is Sardar Patel statue made by renowned Indian sculptor Jashuben Shilpi.

Since the day Prime Minister Modi inaugurated world’s tallest Statue Of Unity, liberals have been constantly after it and trying to malign it.

This is clearly Facebook Journalism by ’eminent’ Journalist, then they have audacity to give lectures on Fake News & misinformation. #Irony

Two journalists discussing Exit Polls

0

A strong western media house sends a reporter to report from GROUND ZERO:

The mood has been rather upbeat since 8 December 2018 in Indian branch. EXIT POLLS are showing EARLY SIGNS of @narendramodi wave FINALLY COMING to a grinding halt!

The reporter has been asked to liaise with WHO IS WHO of INDIAN MEDIA. He is aware that they will be rather very busy hopping from one studio to the other. He has to meet them break the news to their HEAD OFFICE that MODI WAVE ENDED PREMATURELY. He finally gets a breakfast meeting at 7.30AM from a famous neutral journalist.

The neutral journalist who has been rather depressed since 5 years was suddenly in her most cheerful self!

“You alright.. you seem to be happy “asks the reporter

“Something unprecedented, unbelievable has happened. Can YOU BELIEVE.. MODI is losing 5-0”

Western reporter(WR) observing her.. “wow! If that happens that will be MENTAL”

NEUTRAL JOURNALIST (NJ) : “IT IS HAPPENING.. matter of few hours”

WR: 😇

After thoughts:

5 state elections of 2018 is considered as Semi-finals and Loksabha elections 2019 is considered as finals. #Exitpolls started getting telecasted before the last vote was cast. Needless to expect anything better MSM but they wrote the epitaph and buried Modi wave.

In this article, an attempt is made to reflect the people’s ambitions and mindset on development, etc., versus political offerings vs media’s business interests and may be judicial non-accountability?

Economics and Modinomics

0

“Many individuals are doing what they can. But real success can only come if there is a change in our societies  and in our politics.”

This quote by David Attenborough well suits to Indian economy, there are two problems which are in common with society and politics one is Corruption and the other one is Black Money even the problem of Unemployment hurdled our economy. In order to tackle search deep rooted and multi caused problems prevailing in Indian economy the Modi government had taken several measures.

The first step was Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana which aimed at opening bank accounts even for people below the poverty line it was successful in opening about 31.5 to crores of bank accounts. This PMJDY facilitated direct benefit transfer curbing corruption. Through direct benefit transfer till today about Rs. 3,65, 995 crores have been directly transferred 2 the beneficiaries of about 431 schemes. In totality, the direct benefit transfer facilitated by PMJDY how been successful in eliminating middle men and thus avoiding corruption through increasing transparency.

Next when it comes to black money the bold decisions of demonetisation and GST have been very helpful to curb black money. The demonetisation lead to increasing payment of direct taxes, formalisation of economy and also became a big boost 2 digital economy or cashless economy. The BHIM app based on UPI is also a major step towards the vibrant and transparent economy. Demonetisation turned out to be threat for tax evaders and raised both direct and indirect taxes.

Modi experimented Saam, Daam, Bheda and finally Danda to curb black money. First of all they give time frame for disclosing black money and many people disclosed it. Later when entire black money did not came to limelight demonetisation was put into practice.

Best when it comes to GST it was the revolutionary act. Just within a year about 4800000 enterprises registered with GST, about 340 invoices well processed and about 11 crore returns filed. The benami property act and fugitive offenders bill was also introduced to ensure fitting reply to defaulters like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and others.

Next when it comes to employment India is suffering from mass unemployment since decades. Modi ji has made is honest efforts to bring down unemployment like MUDRA, Startup India, Stand up India, Make in India and attempts were made to convert phrase of Udyogam Purusha Lakshanam to Udyogam Manava Lakshanam.

Skill India helped the youth to set up their own startups it aims and providing jobs for 500 million people by 2020. The Make in  India aims at creating manufacturing hub in India which in turn helps to provide employment in manufacturing sector. Mudra scheme provides loans at 3 levels i.e., Shishu-the starters-covers loan up to Rs.50,000,Kishor-the mid-stage finance seekers-covers loan above Rs.50,000 and up to Rs.5,00,000 and Tarun-growth seekers- covers loan above Rs.5,00,000 and up to Rs. 10,00,000.

The MSMEs are supported with technology via 20 hubs and enabled to get loan within 59 seconds.

In infrastructure too the Modi government has done a tremendous progress in the highway construction Bharatmala project is successful in bringing out many highways, in aviation sector Udaan is achieving great progress as many airports have been inaugurated and people are able to have air transport at lower cost.In railways the Bullet Train initiative is an excellent one. Every corner of India is getting electrified and to facilitate significant boost to digital India OFCs are connected to villages.

Beej se lekar Baazar Tak facilitated strengthening of backbone of Indian economy.Providing quality seeds, distribution of Soil health cards (about 5.6 crores were distributed),Neem coated urea acted both as fertilizer and pesticide, facilitation of more crop- per drop via PMKSY,crop insurance created sense of security among farmers through PMFBY,eNAM facilitated elimination of middlemen and more profit for farmers, credit of about 10 lakh crores availed to farmers and 1.5% MSP on Khariff crops bought smile on face of farmers.

Ease of Doing Business ranking moved from 142 to 77, Global Innovation Index moved from 76 to 57, e-Government index moved from 118 to 96,and e-participation index moved from 40 to 15.

These are positive effects of  Prime Minister’s hardwork towards economy. This is nothing but a result of political will power. And the irony is criticizers don’t know how to be appreciators. The Swachhata of economy has just begun, so there’s a need to give Modi sufficient opportunity and then India will economically prosper.

Neglected east to most acted east: How Modi governement is transforming NE

0

Northeast India the part of India from where Deepa Karmakar and Mary Kom came out as an inspiration to women of India. It is the same venue the patriot journalist who is nightmare to most of anti nationals Arnab Goswami hails from. And also Dr Manmohan Singh former Prime Minister of India was Rajya Sabha MP from Assam which is the state in the same North East.

For the previous governments Assam was the metaphor for or first picture which came out when they thought of North East. As a Prime Minister being MP of that region it ought to be a developed region. But it is not actually so which is an irony, it was the same region which was kept out of mainstream since many years or since 76 years of Indian independence. Nobody who is the native of this region became minister in the union government or we may say not let to be.

The first step towards the development of North East India was taken by the then Vajpayee government in 2001, when a separate ministry for North East development was formed after 54 years of independence it is nothing but pathetic. But after 3 years a new government was formed and the same ministry was put aside or sidelined despite the Prime Minister was an MP from this region. Presently Jitendra Singh is the Minister of North East development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave much significance to the development of Northeast India. Lack of infrastructure and problem of immigrants were the main problems faced by them. Sarbananda Sonowal who was a Minister of sports in government of India was made chief
minister of Assam, after this stage began Vikas Parv of northeast.

North East was under developed not because of lack of potential but because of lack of political will power. Modi government has converted Northeast into connectivity hub. ASEAN and Northeast India’s connection was strengthened via trade culture and people to people relations. Through inland waterways and India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highways the fuel cost and time involved in trade and tourism was cut down which boosted the economy of Northeast Indians.

Northeast Indians are popular for handicrafts and handlooms, to promote textiles first ever northeast investors summit on textiles was held in Shillong. To market the textiles ‘India Handmade Baazar’, an online portal was launched to provide direct access to handlooms and artisans. ‘Northeast Region Textile Promotion Scheme’ was initiated to promote employment and entrepreneurship among women, each center provides employment for nearly 1000 people.

Initiative is taken to put North East in the rail map of India. Foundation stone was laid for Imphal railway station in 2016. Longest railway tunnel in India is coming up on Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal new broad guage line and Agartala is connected with it. Over all 15 projects are in progress. Thus connectivity distance between important cities of Northeast is shortened.

Northeast road sector development scheme was launched set upgradation of neglected but important interstate roads. About 30,000 crores invested on North East for development of
national highway under Bharatmala project.

Comprehensive Scheme for Power Transmission and Distribution Systems for NE approved at 9,865 crores. 16 hydro power projects are in progress to produce 5576 MW of electricity. About 2450 kilometers of power transmission and distribution lines are laid in Northeast. Over all projects of worth Rs.10000 crores of electricity transmission and distribution are in progress.

North East India has great potential in terms of tourism,Rs.207 crores sanctioned to prevent erosion in Majuli Island, which is largest riverine island that attracts tourists.’ Destination Northeast’ organized every year to showcase opportunity for business and tourism. Development of Lakeview in Meghalaya, development of spiritual circuit in Manipur, development of tourist circuit in Sikkim, development of tribal circuit in Nagaland etc are a part of Swadesh Darshan scheme.

Guwahati airport is developed into an inter regional hub . North East is priority under UDAN, 92 new routes are going to be started and about 19 under served airports are getting air
service.

Another problem which was disturbing Northeast is that of immigrants, about 44 lakhs illegal immigrants are marked under NRC who are either Bangladeshi immigrants or Rohingyas are going to be evacuated.Fake human rights activists are hurdling it, it’s secondary.

Modi ji converted apathy into empathy of North East.Previous governments were following Look East but Modi ji made it Act East. Modi ji giving wings to aspirations of people of North East, and opposition is gambling with feelings of people of North East by insulting traditional head gear of tribals which is nothing but ironical.

Basics of Hindutva for election Hindus

0

Hindutva is a comprehensive, multi- disciplinary, universal, rich cultured, ancient, tolerant, secular, multiple scripture, diverse, neither rigid nor flexible, unsupressed, immortal, perpetual and vast religion. As quoted by apex court i.e, Supreme Court of India, ‘Hindutva is the way of life’.
Hindutva has got a chain of inspiring personalities like Lava-Kusha, Dhruva, Nachiket, Shwetaketu, Upamanyu, Prahlad, Swamiji (Vivekananda), Shivaji, Netaji and the chain is perpetuating and it is longer like tail of Lord Hanuman. Patriotism is in every cell of Hindus.

The culture of Hindutva is very sacred, where there is due respect to women as there’s a shloka “Yatra Naaryastu Poojyante Ramante Tatra Devata” means where women are worshiped, God resides. There’s a chain of inspiration for the women also Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Taara, Mandodari and there’s another shloka ,“Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Taara, Mandodari Tatha Pancha Kanya Smare Nityam Maha Pataka Nashanam” which means if we revise names of these five women all negative energies will be kept out.

In Hindutva there’s an analogy of “Raastra Devo Bhava, Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava, Atithi Devo Bhava, Guru Devo Bhava”, means in Hindutva we treat our Nation, Mother, Father, Guests and Teacher as God.

In Hindutva we say, “Vaidyo Narayano Harihi” which means we visualize Doctor who saves our lives like God. Hindutva also has due respect to Soldier and Farmer.

Hindus worship Mother Earth and Pancha Bhootas (Fire, Water, Sky, Soil, Air) which sustain living creatures.Hindus take education as holy thing which is worshiped as Goddess Saraswati, Money is also treated sacred and worshiped as Goddess Lakshmi.

Hinduism propagates gratefulness as we worship cow as Kamadhenu which gives us nutritious milk and there’s a faith that thirty three koti of Gods reside in her. We worship Coconut tree as Kalpataru as every part of it is useful.

Ayurveda and Yoga are outcomes of Hindutva itself Dhanvantari,God of medicine is worshiped in Ayurveda and Yoga was founded by Sage Patanjali.

Hinduism is criticized the most for idol worship, but I would like to give example for that, can we accept plain paper as currency notes?. No, we want paper with the authentication and signature of governor of RBI to accept it as currency notes in the similar way we want an idol, authenticated symbol or a holy rock instilled with life which we call “Prathishte”.

Hinduism is based on four Vedas Rig Veda,Yajur Veda,Sama Veda,Atharvana Veda. The main Hindu scriptures are Sruti and Smruti again classified into Veda, Upanishads,Puranas, Bhagvad Gita,Holy Epics(Ramayan, Mahabharata) and Hindutva is more than a religion. Moreover Hindutva is not a narrow Dharma as it is not confined to a single holy scripture.

Hindutva has it’s own calendar in which can be called ‘Panchanga’ in which years are referred to as ‘Samvatsara’ , Months are termed ‘Masa’ ,Days are termed “Tithi”. There are 6 seasons in Hindutva called ‘Rutu’.

Hindutva is aimed at attaining four Purusharthas i.e, Dharma,Artha,Kama,Moksha can be meant as Righteousness, Livelihood,Desires and Liberation respectively. According to the Hindu life cycle there are 4 stages i.e, Brahmacharya,Gruhasta,Vanaprastha and Sanyasa.

One who harmonises Raja Yoga (concentration), Bhakti Yoga(worship to God), Karma Yoga (obligation to do one’s work) and Jnana Yoga (Knowledgeable) can be called true Hindu. Every ritual and practice in Hindutva has a synthesis of Science and Faith it may be Yajna, Tilak, stories, worship to plants & trees, idol etc.

Hindutva has survived despite attacks by many brutal Invaders like Ghazni, Ghori, Aurangzeb, Khilji, Babar, British, Portuguese, Dutch, French etc who vandalized temples and tried to weaken it by various means, this shows the strength of the Hindutva and also tolerance!

World has witnessed fall of Babylonian, Syrian, Persian, Egyptian, Roman and Greek cultures cum civilizations but Hindutva is still retained it’s essence despite it’s ancient history! Modern Hindutva is given a revolutionary approach by Swami Vivekananda and Rationalistic cum Humanistic approach by S.Radhakrishnan.

Hindutva is a mammoth subject and to understand it in totality several rebirths and concentrated penance is required but it’s astonishing to know that some election Hindus are behaving as Wise Hindus.

Some people have coined terms like Hindu Pakistan,Hindu Terrorism etc but at same time when terrorists come from Pakistan they say There’s no religion for Terrorism isn’t this double standards. Those who understands subject matter of Hindutva won’t link Hinduism with Terrorism.

It’s only part of appeasement but the irony is that after gambling with feelings of Hindus, now same politicians are roaming as Election Hindus. Ashok Singhal, former president of the VHP had said ,”Eight hundred years after it (power in Delhi) went away from Prithviraj Chauhan, it did not come back into the hands of a proud Hindu. It has happened after 800 years”, comparing Narendra Modi’s rise to power with the rule of Prithviraj Chauhan, considered to be the last independent Hindu ruler in the sub-continent. But it’s astonishing to hear president of the INC asking what sort of Hindu Modi is.

Recently one week government holiday was given in West Bengal for ‘Durga Puja’! Temple Run by those who claimed Lord Rama does not exist is still prevailing. These are all nothing but election gimmicks. The remedy for fake Hindu campaigners is 2019 general elections. Hindus won’t get trapped in theirs labyrinths it’s what they should keep in memory.

Nobody can try to make Hindutva a political tool since they can neither appease it nor gamble with Hindus’ feelings,if they think so it’s nothing but Castles in the Air.

AYUSH must promote ‘The lady with the lamp’ not cross pathy

0

The diagnosis and treatment offered to most of the diseases by majority of doctors have reduced the profession to just hearing the complaints of the patient and then arrive at a diagnosis than knowing and understanding the entire constitution of the patient in a holistic manner to customize the treatment as followed in AYUSH. The modern day medical practitioners at primary level largely diagnose the disease based on complaints as narrated or described by the patient and then a battery of drugs is prescribed for a given period.

The time spent either to listen to the patient or in arriving the diagnosis is too less and the speed at which the treatment is given sometime may even beat our reflex. After treatment if the patient reports back some relief, the drug may be either changed or the patient is asked to continue the same treatment for some more period of time. Only when the patient fails to respond and the health conditions dwindle, the patient is referred to specialty centres for treatment. This is how the modern allopathic system is being practiced and followed in large extent.

The fundamental philosophy and system of practice of AYUSH is totally different. AYUSH being a paramedical and pre-medical system, the thrust is given for wellness and paramedical benefits. AYUSH also emphasise on aligning the mind-body harmony so that the patient is sufficiently counselled and prepared to deal the health problem.

The AYUSH Vaidya are supposed to examine the patient based on pulse reading, mind reading, knowing his or her relatives, their mental status, financial status, their belief systems in God and spirituality, knowing the Tridosha constitution, food habits, dressing style and that is how the health problem is identified. The AYUSH vaidya always examine the patient to understand the patient in totality than just knowing the symptom and then arrive at a set of drugs for treatment as followed in modern science. The vaidya always tries to connect with the patient as well as with his relatives, spiritually and intuitively. The treatment is never limited to the recipes of AYUSH but certain spiritual practices are also suggested.

The present day health care system needs such dedicated AYUSH vaidyas to provide both ‘doctors word’ and ‘Florence nightingale touch’. Unfortunately many institutionally qualified AYUSH vaidyas in private practice have reduced the essence of AYUSH to serious suspicion and most of them take pride in cross pathy.

All those institutionally qualified AYUSH vaidyas in private practice who engage in cross pathy are neither true to AYUSH nor to the noble profession of apothecary. Most of them just learn the brand names of certain allopathic drugs from CIMS etc., and based on the complaints of the patient, the allopathic drugs are prescribed. Thanks to the long life of the patient nothing worse is happening but such situation in fact give confidence to those Vaidyas in private practice to mock the health care system and abuse the sacred AYUSH tradition through cross pathy. AYUSH offers relief both to the mind and body.

The medical ethics of AYUSH is totally different from allopathic system. AYUSH vaidyas must have faith in God, spirituality, astrology, humanity, purity and must follow simplicity. It is not just respect but bhakti, the vaidya must evoke upon patient and that is how the AYUSH tradition has developed and evolved.

Many institutionally qualified Siddha vaidyas in private practice have bruised and mocked the relevance of Siddha system through rampant cross pathy. Today our society need ‘complete health healer’ and not specialists separately for nail, hair, skin etc.

AYUSH vaidyas in private practice can not only offer relief to the patients but also can elevate the spiritual status of the patients by bringing certain moral and ethical discipline in them. But unfortunately cross pathy is destroying the relevance of AYUSH. The Ministry of AYUSH must recognize the serious ill-effects of cross pathy by several AYUSH vaidyas in private practice to the existence and dignity of AYUSH tradition. India needs lots of ‘total’, ‘complete’, ‘holistic’ healers of AYUSH to meet the multi-various health challenges in rural areas.
