The hard truth about Masood Azhar, China and UN listing

0

On Thursday morning, India woke up to the news that China has, for the fourth time, placed a “technical hold” on India’s bid to designate Masood Azhar, the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief, as a global terrorist.

Before we embark on a “boycott Chinese goods” and “China has blood on its hands” hysteria, there are two critical aspects that we, Indians, have to comprehend:

  1. Value systems and expected behaviours are different for individuals and nations. Naked ambition, power grabs, dual standards are all unacceptable when it comes to an individual. But as nations, their sole aim would be to further self-interest.

There can be no doubt that what China has done reeks of hypocrisy. As per the Chinese Communist Party, the Nobel Peace Laureate, a Buddhist spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama is a terrorist but a venom-spouting, jihadist is not, because both positions, although contrary, further Chinese self-interest. If Masood Azhar were to call for Jihad against China for its treatment of Uyghurs, he, his extended family and every one of his supporters would be liquidated in seconds.

India trying to shame China for its stand would never rankle China because nation-states are not expected to have a conscience, only self-interests. The question we need to ask is how to make it the designating of Masood Azhar as a global terrorist in China’s best interest?

Azhar has to safeguard his reputation as a defender of Islam and he must be forced to speak out about China’s own suppression of Islam. India must covertly invest in raising the awareness of the conditions of China’s Muslim minority. The justification of China’s actions against its Muslim minorities by the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, during his recent visit to Beijing, shows how daunting this task is but it must be undertaken, covertly.

  1. Fighting terrorism originating from Pakistan is India’s battle. We must learn to fight our own battles before we expect outside support. Have we done enough to fight this menace? The answer is a resounding no. We have constantly indulged in seeking the high moral ground, mouthing platitudes such as “Wuhan spirit”, “Strategic restraint”, being appreciated for statesmanship which is wonderful in an idealistic world while in the world of real-politic, we concede ground. A UN-listing is another “feel-good” victory. Pakistan already has 139 individuals and entities designated by the UN as terrorists, all freely operating. With this listing, the number changes to 140.

India doesn’t need “moral victories” but hard-hitting, tangible, real victories. This would happen only if we repeatedly demonstrate that we have the gumption to fight our own battles. A few of the non-military steps that India must undertake are:

    1. Call for a Joint Session of Parliament and declare Pakistan a terror state.
    2. Impose sanctions, make it an offence to have business interests in Pakistan after a certain cut-off date and still do business with India. Businesses would have to make a hard choice: accessing the Indian or Pakistani market. Any business that chooses Pakistan would be liable to have their assets in India attached and auctioned. Specific waivers need to be applied for, justified and granted by the Government of India on a case-to-case basis, based on one single parameter; India’s self-interest. If the Indian Government shows that it means business, the Pakistani market would witness an exodus of Chinese mobile manufactures and Fortune 500 companies. The Chinese Communist Party is heavily invested in their private sector and pressure on the Chinese Government to accede to India’s wishes is inevitable.
    3. Declare that all foreigners visiting Pakistan after a cut-off date and entering the country would be subject to debriefing, a euphemism for detention, harassment and even deportation, for making the mistake of entering a terrorist state. No self-respecting business executive, scholar, artist or sportsman would step into Pakistan.
    4. Deny right of overhead passage for flights originating from Pakistan or heading to Pakistan.
    5. Once Pakistan has been declared a terrorist state, we should call for the boycott of Pakistani sportspersons internationally. Not a sporting power, India should start by either arm-twisting the ICC or creating a parallel cricketing body and attract cricketing stars to the India-promoted body rather than ICC. The last two steps will ensure the demise of PSL. In any case, the cricketing world’s center of gravity has shifted from Lords to Eden Garden. This would merely formalise the shift. For naysayers, India has done something similar in regional geopolitics by side lining SAARC and promoting BIMSTEC, thereby leaving out Pakistan.

Elections may have been declared but the Government of India is not a lame-duck government. The Model Code of Conduct is not applicable to foreign relations, foreign trade or national security matters. The Government is fully empowered to proceed in all these matter.

However, the BJP should control its motor-mouths as trying to gain electoral benefit from any of these will backfire domestically, attract the ire of the press, the opposition and the EC. Today’s voter is smart and will attribute the credit where it rightfully belongs, to us as a nation.

13 questions to Rahul Gandhi from a Bihari

Rahul Gandhi spoke on a public forum again to a staged audience and yet somehow, he managed to insult the people of North India, particularly UP and Bihar at this staged event too. Naturally, fur was going to fly and perhaps he intended that it should. However, this won’t stop people like me from questioning him.

To some of us who traveled the whole gamut of life experiences in Bihar: from belonging to a freedom fighters’ family, to the days of studying in the light of oil lamps without electricity, to surviving the dark days of Jungle Raaj, to living in Maharashtra and South India for over a decade, to now living outside India, this callous remark of a PM aspirant is insulting on many different levels. Therefore, I cannot help but pose a series of questions to a man who intends to become the prime minister of India by insulting a large section of its population. My 13 questions to the congress president:

  • In one of the pre-election sound bites, your colleague Mr. Surjewala had said that you are a “Janeudhaari Brahmin” no doubt to appeal to the Brahmin votes in the state you wanted to win. And even though you have kept Ayodhya on a slow-burn dispute to reap multiple political benefits, I am sure as a Janeudhaari Brahmin you still know it as the place where Lord Ram was born. But as a champion of women’s emancipation do you know that Sita ji, the wife of Lord Ram was born in Bihar? Internet knows it, but do you?
  • Dear Mr. Gandhi did you know that Bihar was the land from where Buddhism originated? It was the place where Gautam Buddha achieved his enlightenment. Tourists from all Buddhists nations come to Sarnath to pay their respects. They know about Bihar and Buddhism, but do you?
  • Have you heard about the great economist and political science expert Chankaya or Kautilya? He was the prime minister in the court of Chandragupta Maurya, the King who is credited with defeating Alexander the Great’s army in Afghanistan. He united large swathes of North India from the footsteps of Pakistan to Bihar. Did you know that both Kautilya and Chandragupta Maurya were from Magadha or modern-day Bihar?
  • Do you know Rahul Gandhi that Bihar was the seat of the foremost global university in ancient times, the Nalanda University? While Jesus might or might not have studied from Nalanda, the university was still home to 10000 resident students and 2000 teachers for 800 years. It is said that when the Nalanda university library was destroyed by invaders, it burnt for 3 months. It was a university that drew students from across the world, built by the great Gupta dynasty, a dynasty that ruled over Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Certainly, more than the number of states under congress rule, currently!
  • Under the British rule, opium was widely grown in the fields of North India for exporting to China. Mr. Richard Blair came to Motihari, Bihar to work at the opium office there. Did you know Mr. Gandhi that his son, popularly known as George Orwell– the author of Animal Farm was born in Bihar? Under Nitish Kumar, plans are afoot to turn the dilapidated building where Orwell was born into a museum. Why for 70 years his birth place remained unacknowledged?
  • Under British rule the Tinkathia system was also started, in UP, Bihar and Bengal. This system forced tenant farmers to grow Indigo on their land. The indigo cultivation would turn the land fallow and the farmers destitute. This indigo farming was so destructive that it led to famines across these states. The same states that you so shamelessly ridicule. Did you know how Indigo farming ruined the agrarian economy and the farmers of Bihar?
  • In fact, Indigo farming was such a stain on the agrarian economy, that the man whose surname you and your family have for decades, so shamelessly bandied for political gains, started his Satyagrah from Champaran in North Bihar. Champaran in Bihar, is widely credited for making a Mahatma out of Mohandas Karamchan Gandhi. Did you know about Champaran? Gandhi ji surely did.
  • Did you know Mr. Gandhi that Ramdhari Singh Dinkar our national poet, whose poetry are even today quoted by Indian Armed forces when they speak of valour, hailed from Bihar? Did you know that the congress government of 1959, awarded the Padma Bhushan to him?
  • During successive congress government terms, many PSU headquarters were distributed. South India got the heavy engineering PSUs like HAL, ISRO, and BHEL thereby ensuring the technology-proficient manpower growth in the southern states. Not even one such PSU was allowed to be head quartered in Bihar. Why was this step-motherly treatment given to the state under congress governments? Why did successive congress governments deny development to the people of Bihar deliberately?
  • In the 1970s an earthquake happened in the Indian political landscape. He was called Jai Prakash Narayan and he hailed from Bihar. What started as a student movement against state government quickly gained fire and became a national movement against the central government led by Indira Gandhi. This movement eventually led to the infamous emergency that your grandmother unleashed on the country. I hope Mr. Gandhi that even in the company of your sycophants the dark days of emergency reluctantly echo sometimes?
  • Your list of loyal allies include, even today, a man who single-handedly ruined the future of many a young Biharis, during 1990s. Mr. Lalu Yadav unleashed a reign of extortion and loot during his infamous Jungle Raaj days. He pushed Bihar back into the dark days of armed robberies, daylight murders and abductions. Those who lived during those days have a list of horror stories that they recount even to this day. Yet you and your party still persist in propping up the scam tainted career of this criminal cum politician. Why Mr.Gandhi?
  • In 1970s the ambitious Rural Electrification program was launched and within 5 years all the villages of Bihar were supposed to be lit, but generations have passed on without electricity reaching the villages of Bihar. It seems the task of total rural electrification has finally been completed under the able leadership of Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi. Why was rural electrification of Bihar ignored for so many decades Mr.Gandhi?
  •  Amethi in UP has stayed with your family for decades, yet the development of this congress bastions is happening under Narendra Modi, Smriti Irani and Yogi Adityanath from BJP. Why has congress failed to develop Amethi, even after being handed over successive wins by the people of Amethi? Is it the use-and-throw model of congress at work?

Many lives, futures of Biharis, UPites have been changed due to the apathy of successive congress governments, exploitation by ruffians, street goons like Lalu Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav. Yet the congress president, Rahul Gandhi stands in public, denigrating Biharis, people from UP, like it is their fault that they have been exploited over centuries! What is even more surprising is that this sort of mockery of poverty is coming from a man who hopes to become PM someday!

Once again… China shows its true colors

0

Once again, China has blocked India’s move to designated Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist. Once again, China stood rock solid behind its (Jaish-e-) Mohabbat. Once again, diplomacy failed to mobilize China support, whatever may be the reason. Once again paper tigers are blaming the government. Once again, people are for a complete ban on Chinese products. Once again, some people in social media are going a step further and demanding a ban on China itself – whatever does that mean.

Let me be very clear, we cannot ban Chinese products!

Banning Chinese products has huge implications for the Indian economy. And as far as I know, India is ill-prepared to deal with any such implications. Currently, trade is in China’s favor and for the last 10 years, India is requesting China for more access to its markets. This is where the problem lies.

The question you may ask, why India is requesting China when she can take actions on her own? Or you may say, look Trump has already taken some actions unilaterally to achieve trade balance with China.

Well, you know the answer, but you are too shy to acknowledge it; the US economy is far superior, in better shape and Momentum to handle any repercussions that may arise due to Trump’s decisions and so is China’s economy. And this is where we lag big time.

I think, instead of screaming to ban Chinese products we must follow some practical paths to ensure China (along with the world) takes us very seriously. Following are some of such paths:

  1. Economy – The government and its policies must ensure that we experience double-digit growth for the next 10 to 15 years.
  2. The innovation – We buy Chinese products only because they are cheaper. We all know that Chinese products lack durability and reusability. The citizens, through innovation, should ensure that the products that we produce are cheaper and durable.
  3. Social boycott – Vow to only purchase Made in India products as long as and as far as possible.

I am not an economic expert, therefore, I am not sure about the steps that the government should take to achieve trade balance with China. However, as citizens, we must think about what we can do to help our nation in tackling  Chinese arrogance.

The insipid talk of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

0

The Congress general secretary Priyanka Vadra’s hardly 7-minute talk/speech in Ahmedabad rally, outside her family bastions of Rae Bareli and Amethi was not at all appealing. For, it lacked charm, wit, oratory and substance (even more) which generally are found in an effective speech. It is not an exaggeration to say that an average Indian teen-ager, say 13,14 year-old boy/girl who is acquainted a little with Indian politics could speak much better than her. It was not expected from her that kind of bland speech for the hype and hoopla given by their tall old leaders and the Congress cadre. All pro-Congress media people hailed her speech saying that she raised bread-and-butter issues and the record of joblessness in 45 years. This is absolutely ridiculous. But for her dynastic background, nobody would have ever cared her speech even in her own elite, sycophant-circles.

To talk against a formidable opponent, you grope for issues. No one denies that there is unemployment in India. For the burgeoning population no government could ever produce adequately. It’s not to neutralise the job crisis scenario, however, the hyped-unemployment figure of the Congress is unbelievable. Unemployment has been the problem in India even in her grandmother’s (Indira Gandhi’s) time. The word “joblessness” is questionable. For, in India most of the eligible citizens have some job or the other to fend themselves with. The question arises about the quality of the job and also about whether the job is government or private, in the organized sector or unorganized sector etc. Had there been joblessness in record low position i.e. 45-year low record, Indians like Venezuelans would have been on the streets!

Of late, India has become the fastest growing economy in the world and is placed in the top-ranking, what for? If people go by Congress’s words, they will be duped. For, Congress has no strategy in place to provide jobs. By coming to power, they themselves want to get the top jobs of the country. BJP has been in power on its own only for 5-years. It’s legitimate for the people of the country to give another term for it to leverage and to fulfil the unfulfilled promises.

Priyanka Vadra’s often repeated love-theory is even more ridiculous. Anything should be shown in action not in words. When ex-prime minister Shri Manmohan Singh announced from Sharm El Sheikh that the (Muslim) minorities have the first right on Indian treasury/resources, where was the love for other communities (read Hindus)? Without the approval of the royal family, would he have spoken, what he had spoken? No way. Love is a two- way process. The BJP should seek apology from the Ex-PM Manmohan Singh for the statement he had made.

As far as ‘hate-theory’ she mentioned to cast aspersions on the ruling, one can say that Priyanka is far removed from the real -world. That kind of hatreds have been going-on in the world from the time of Mahabharata. Even now, in the developed world countries hatred is prevalent. Priyanka cannot single out India. There’s nothing wrong in condemning anything that is bad in the society. However, the person who condemns should not be a part of the party which had a history of being dictatorial and partisan. In fact it’s the social media that propagates hate-campaigns and it should be countered effectively. A ruling party cannot be held responsible for all the ills in the society. It’s not enough that the brother and sister say that they are the Messengers of Love. They have money, they have leisure, luxury and comfort whereas the other ordinary humans in the country are hand to mouth and are busy in minding their own work and not find time enough to mouth shibboleths like them.

The Congress from the time of Independence has been suppressing the other unsuitable-side of the coin, that is the ideology that goes against theirs with repression. It was indirectly censoring what was against them in a clever and intelligent way without soiling its hands. A kind of sophistication appreciated by the English-speaking so-called intellectual class of India! Now the tables have turned against the party and they are crying hoarse.

There is another ludicrous statement by Rahul Gandhi in the recent Chennai meeting. He attended an interactive meeting with the students at Stella Maris College for women on 13th March, in that he drew parallels between Robert Vadra and P.M Narendra Modi (who is an unparalleled leader). Rahul Gandhi said to the audiences, “I will be the first person to say it. Investigate Robert Vadra but also investigate Prime Minister Narendra Modi”. What kind of a statement! What a naivety! Who is he to grant permission to investigate Robert Vadra? He is already under investigation. With or without investigation, he is a culprit of fraudulent land deals in this country.

If Rahul Gandhi ascertains the property of Robert Vadra before marrying his sister and after the marriage, it will be clear to him. People of India know, investigations in high profile cases would not yield any quick result. As far as prime minister Modi is concerned, people know that he is incorruptible. Moreover, he is hassle-free unlike his brother-in-law who is trying to build empires for generations to come.

https://youtu.be/iqmof8PzFwI

The curious case of Im the Dim: A must read for Imran Khan fans

0

The political fortune of Imran Khan started to change during the late years of General Musharraf’s rule. At that time, he had been in politics for a decade but wasn’t taken seriously. His first serious and what would rather be an unpopular endeavor in ‘any civilized country’ was siding with the Taliban in Pakistan’s restive tribal areas. This was the time of confusion in Pakistan. The distinction between good Taliban and bad Taliban had not set in.

Good Taliban are those who do Pakistan’s bidding and bad are those who may turn around and bite their masters. Simply saying, those who attack Pakistan’s neighbor are good and those who attack Pakistan are bad. During the early years, the Pakistan army sent to fight the Pakistan Taliban – bad Taliban now, used to surrender without a fight believing it to be America’s war. A reason for Musharraf’s decline was this confusion. Publicly, his tussle with the judiciary and the media made him unpopular, but within the army establishment, his operations in tribal areas and against Lal Masjid in Islamabad were the reason which drifted his core commanders away.

Imran Khan voiced his opposition to the operations raising the humanitarian cost of the war and its legitimacy. The cost of the war on people although is good for rhetoric. It was questioning the legitimacy of war on terror which made him appealing to the conservative sections of Pakistani society and to its army. He had earlier supported Musharraf but now was seen as someone who can carry the conservative appeal and legitimize it. Pakistani Taliban were seen as disgruntled elements who can be soothed and used against Afghanistan and India. For this military action needed to be halted and American drone attacks stopped. He later maintained his position against American drone attacks but brushed aside the role of the Pakistan army against the people of tribal areas. It was all blamed on the illegitimate war, which Pakistan was forced into.

Pakistan’s army grudgingly restored the democracy but assassinating Benazir first- one of the two rivals, it saw. The era of military rule was coming to an end. The rule of Zardari- Benazir’s widower, was a period of global isolation of Pakistan which increased with Mumbai attacks. The same Taliban now under new leader Hakimullah, who was discredited as an Indian agent by many so-called analysts was cheered for offering 10,000 suicide bombers against India if war happens. Pakistan’s army had found a new arsenal in a conservative media, which believed in the prophecies of holy war and blasted radical ideas 24/7.

If democracy cannot be derailed, it should be made unpopular. Someone who believed in radical views and will function under army control was needed. With this came the time to raise the dummy to the pedestal. With media and military support, Imran was propped as the new messiah, a ‘Prime Minister in waiting’ but Nawaz Sharif won the election in 2013. The Army knew it would be difficult to control Nawaz, who was earlier ousted by the army in a coup. Any peace with India will make the army lose its overreach in Pakistan.

Imran took to the streets alleging poll rigging, he was supported by another protest movement led by a religious cleric- Tahir-ul-Qadri. Pakistan’s army had brokered a deal between them. The idea was to make Nawaz leave Islamabad and flee. But, he stood the grounds, he knew that the Pakistani army cannot afford another coup. A compromise was worked out. The elected leadership abdicated all control over the defense and foreign relations. The army even took the role of the judiciary or started meddling with the judiciary as per its wishes. Pakistan army had a free hand to crush any regional strife. The army undertook operations in tribal areas, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi, and Balochistan.

Using the proxy Jaish-e-Mohammad, India was attacked at Gurdaspur and at Pathankot air base. Meanwhile, the media continued its blitzkrieg against Nawaz, calling him corrupt and Modi’s Yaar (Modi’s friend). The Panama Paper leaks provided the army what it needed, a death blow to Nawaz’s popularity as an elected leader. His views on the army published in Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper were now raised as ‘blasphemous’. After all, admitting the truth in a country where everyone lies is a sin.

Imran Khan’s character during these years took a complete 180-degree turn. Which he acknowledges as wisdom, in his own words, “If Hitler would have taken a U-turn and refrained from attacking Russia, he would have been successful.” His position on Pakistan army changed completely from what he held during his early years in politics. He realized finding electoral success criticizing the army will be tough, but with its blessings easy. In 2018, he became the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He has been married thrice now. His latest marriage with Bushra Maneka, a ‘Pirni’ – loose translation can range from a female saint to a witch, proves his complete succumbing to religion.

It was claimed by his supporters that Bushra had a vision in which Prophet asked her to leave her husband and marry Imran. She was married with three children to a corrupt official who readily agreed to divorce since it was in the interest of Islam and Pakistan. In any normal country, such marriage would have raised eyebrows, in Islamic countries reaction would have been even worse. But, with the army’s control over the media, the narrative was easily digested. Perhaps, people mistook a playboy for progressive. Even a playboy can be a bigot, more than a conservative bearded man because he may try to repent for the sinful ways of the past but remain conflicted. In his case, his return to faith has been weirder than expected for a playboy. He is like Stannis Baratheon from Game of Thrones, who murdered his own brother and child at the counsel of Red Woman. Here, he has murdered any genuineness that he may have offered, the expectation of a reformer he promised.

Post Pulwama attack, when Imran Khan addressed Pakistan and warned India of consequences in case of Indian attack, he started with gaslighting. Hinting a conspiracy, saying only an idiot will attack India in present circumstances. The same could be said when idiots attacked the Indian parliament, bringing the countries to the brink of war and only idiots will give refuge to Osama Bin Laden. Clearly, Pakistan is full of idiots, one is their Prime Minister now. His appeal for peace was the repeat of the ‘nuclear blackmail’ in the guise of humanity which Pakistan has been using to avoid the punishments of its conduct. He had a ‘Freudian’ slip when he said, if things escalate then it would not be under his control, accepting it’s not him, it is the Pakistani army which calls the shot; he is a mere puppet. His supporters want a Nobel Peace Prize for him, some want Nobel to be given to him so that Pakistan can be obliged into being good, not realizing Imran Khan is a powerless man who has sold his spirit to Pakistan Army.

Rahul attacks Modi, says PM giving benefits of brides to foreigners, not Salman Khan

0

Launching a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi government, Rahul Gandhi said that the PM is guilty of taking away marital opportunities of a deserving Indian male, Salman Khan and providing it to foreign celebrities. He also alleged that in Modi’s time, only the Ambanis have got married while others left waiting.

“Modi promised that achchhe din would arrive. But how could achchhe din arrive for the biggest Bollywood superstar who is still waiting for a wife,” the scion of Gandhi-family thundered.

Modiji ne kaha tha, achche din aayenge. Lekin unke raj me Priyanka Chopra ko ek Americi le kar chala gaya, Preity Zinta ki bhi ek Americi se shadi ho gayi. Jabki hamara jawan, Salman Khan abhi tak kunwara baitha huya hain. Why are Indian men, who have proven their ability to provide marital felicity over the last 70 years being ignored in favour of foreign men?” he added.

He also pointed to the marriages in Ambani family as an example of favouritism by the current Indian PM. “Modi ji ke raj me sirf Ambaniyon ke yahan shadiyan hoti hain par Salman Khan se mauke chhine ja rahe hain.

The Congress Party also announced that they would be holding a special dharna in front of Galaxy Apartments – the residence of Salman Khan and his family – and demanded that a joint parliamentary committee be formed to investigate why Salman was denied a marital contract all these years.

In response, BJP’s national Spokesperson Sambit Patra pointed out that the rejection of Salman Khan by many leading ladies took place in UPA’s time. “The ‘Clown Prince’ doesn’t remember that it was under UPA rule that Salman missed the opportunity to settle down with Katrina. How could we let our betis get old just because Salman is demanding a longer time for settling down? Our first priority was to ensure that husbands are ready for the use of our betis. They had to already face a long delay during UPA tenure,” Patra asserted.

But the Congress Party wasn’t convinced. Their national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala held a press conference to defend his party’s record in facilitation marriages. “Under the Prime Ministership of Shri Manmohan Singh, we saw the marriages of big stars like Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, etc. Our government even managed to get Shri Sanjay Dutt married despite all obstacles. On the other hand, Shri Modi is only interested in the marriage of Ambani family kids.”

Meanwhile, The Hindu newspaper has published a report by N Ram which claims that PM Modi took a direct interest in facilitating the US visa applications of Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, bypassing the foreign ministry. This report further claims that there were no guarantees given by Nick Jonas and Gene Goodenough of ensuring a successful career in America for these Bollywood actresses.

Following this report, Rahul Gandhi tweeted: “How did PM Modi allow a precious commodity like a former Miss World to be taken as a wife by a foreign entity. The eligible bachelors of India have been denied opportunity. Chowkidar hi chor hain!

Republic TV, on the other hand, has been running a video of Renuka Chowdhury – Women and Child Development Minister during UPA 1 – claiming that Indian men are not good husbands. This comment, made during her time in office, has been latched on to by the BJP. “How can any leading actress be expected to marry an Indian Bollywood superstar while such comments are made?” Sambit Patra asked.

Later, the saffron party also alleged that the real reason for the Salman-Katrina agreement breaking down was the refusal of Katrina to enter a secret deal with the first family. The demand from Gandhis, according to the BJP, was that Katrina should find a suitable bride for Rahul, in return for which they would give her and Salman Padma Shri. The grand old party of India has denied these allegations.

This story is getting murkier by the day and allegations are flying fast. However, both Priyanka and Preity have issued a statement saying that they are very happy with their husbands and feel this is the best possible deal they could have got.

Rahul, though, continues to claim that PM Modi is directly guilty of allowing valuable Indian brides to be taken away from this country’s eligible bachelors by foreign individuals. Chowkidar chor hain!, he repeated for the 1400th time.

Exposing Rahul lies on Rafale- Part 3

Claim : PM Modi paid higher price for Rafale than Qatar, Egypt

No allegation I have came across is as comical as this one. The Congress spokesperson also produced an 2017 annual report from Dassault. One can search for it, and you would realise that Congress does not even know how to go through annual reports.

Let me take it from scratch Rahul Gandhi and Surjewala – and for you ignominious, lets start with single country- Qatar.

(Source – France and Qatar seal $7 billion Rafale fighter jet deal)

Now I know some small basic school math is difficult for you to comprehend, so I would go slowly –

Total deal size for 24 jets  = $7 billion
Average cost of 1 dollar in 2015 = Rs 66
Total deal size for 24 jets in Indian rupees = 7000000000 x 66 = Rs 46200,00,00,000 /-
Therefore cost of one jet = 46200,00,00,000 / 24 = Rs. 1925,00,00,000 (Rs 1925 crores)

Arre Surjewala, Rahul why are you surprised? This is is how you have been doing it with Modi’s Rafale Deal, take the entire package and divide it with number of jets, like you did in this video – 58000 crore / 36 = 1611 crores… Right? And you guys have the audacity to talk about annual reports!

So, by what maths did you came up with Qatar paying less!

But since, I have to bring facts in front of people, and not spread lies like Rahulji, Surjewalaji and Congressji, I would like to tell the audience that Qatar exercised options for additional 12 jets at 1.1 billion euros.

(source – Metro, Rafale, A321 … 11.1 billion euros in contracts signed on the arrival of Macron in Qatar)

Now this option is for year 2017 and 1.1 billion euro=  $124,21,47,500.

Now in main package of $7 billion all trainings, logistics, maintenance contracts, missiles are covered. The options would contain only the jets and if required missiles and other accessories. Qatar exercised the option without any missiles package.

I would add this $ 124,21,47,500 to original $7 billion

Total deal size for 36 jets  = $824,21,47,500
Average cost of 1 dollar in 2015 = Rs 66
Total deal size for 24 jets in Indian rupees = 824,21,47,500 x 66 = Rs 54398,17,35,000 /-
Therefore cost of one jet = 54398,17,35,000 / 24 = Rs. 1511,06,03,750 (Rs 1511 crores)

So by your style of calculation of package deal with number of jets, shows Qatar paid 1925 crore versus Modi’s 1611 crore for 24 jets. After adding additional options Qatar paid 1511 crore versus Modi’s 1611 crore for 36 jets.

Now India has an option for picking up additional 18 jets, and per jet price would come less than Qatar. Dhruv Rathee and other journalist realised that the difference is not what you claim, and hence they moved away with a feeble- one cannot compare packages.

I would highlight the packages difference-

  1. Qatar jets are  not capable of carrying nuclear weapons, Indian jets are.
  2. Qatar jets have only two customisationWhile Indian ones have over 14 customisations!! One cannot take a BMW dashboard and fit on Audi car are right away. Customisation come at a cost. 13,470 crore for 36 jet, about 374 crore per jet. (source – A LIST OF POSSIBLE 14 IAF CUSTOMIZATION ON IAF RAFALE F3I, and, 10 Reasons Why The Indian Rafale Is Evolution Itself)
  3. Qatar order over 10,500 crore with missiles, while India. ordered 5,313 crores worth of missiles.
  4. India would get logistic support at two bases – Hashmira and Ambala. Qatar has support at one base.
  5. India has a package of maintenance for five years with spare parts and stricter requirements of 75% of the fleet availability in any situation.

So after so many plusses on Indian side – even with options Qatar is paying 100 crore less. If India exercise its options, the per cost of jet would be significantly less.

Next Part – Demolishing the myth that India paid more than Egypt.

Formula of hatred and weakness, the alliance anatomy of congress and DMK

0

Meeting of the grand old party– Congress party of a family that happened recently in Gujarat to prepare strategy for the forthcoming election needs to be debated from the sentimental point of view also. It is always said that one should operate from his or her strength and not from weakness or in other words, one must weaken the weakness and must strengthen the strength.  But the congress party on the other hand always love to strengthen its weakness and weaken its strength otherwise the party would not rally around the foolish dynast and induct the Priyanka package. The day of the meeting, Indian has witnessed mass exudes of congressmen including several sitting MLA’s of congress party resigning and joining the BJP by alleging the leadership of congress to be weak, confused and unwise. Congress men deserting the congress party in other states is also quite obvious and evident.

It is well known that the congress party has loyalty only to the ‘Gandhi family’, people should not confuse the Gandhi to be Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation but it refers to Sonia Gandhi and her parivar. The same Gandhi family i.e., ‘mother, son and daughter collegium’ wants to start its first pre-election campaign meeting from Gujarat to send a clear message to Narendra Modi that Congress party is a sinking boat under the dynast from the home state of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, i.e., Gujarat.

No one really knows whether the congress party is in a confused mode or in a state of denial of the reality that stares at the party. Congress still believes that it can win India just with one family or by engaging in hate and negative politics against Narendra Modi.

India has changed under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last 5 years. Indians have become aspirational, want to be entrepreneurs, contribute to the nation and also wants to have a very decisive Prime Minister Modi. People also want corruption and scam free administration, structured reform, development centric agenda and the process and programs for sab ka vikas.  PM Modi alone fit the above bill in Indian politics which people have undoubtedly understood.

Most of the political leaders and political parties are carrying a big baggage of scam and allegations of corruption, engaged in dynastic politics and knows only the politics of minority appeasement and nepotism.

India was lagging way behind several centauries during the long regime of congress family rule. In just 5 years, PM Modi has transformed India to new heights of growth, confidence and aspiration.

People may wonder how come only Narendra Modi alone could transform India so well and not Vajpayee who also headed a BJP government. There is lot of difference between Vajpayee government and the government headed by Narendra Modi. The government of Vajpayee was a coalition government where BJP did not had the majority whereas Modi’s BJP got absolute majority but still Narendra Modi made sure the government headed by him remains a coalition government. The proof is that several regional parties are showing greater wiliness and competition to align with BJP in the forthcoming election than to go with congress. Because of the decisive mandate Modi got, he could do several transformative reforms which Vajpayee could not do due to the imminent limitations of coalition.

India to prosper and become an economic world power, a decisive government at the centre and a firm, incorrupt, honest & brave Prime Minister is necessary. Today Narendra Modi led BJP alone can offer such corruption and scam free government, a government free of dynastic culture and nepotism, a government which is firm in ensuring national interest, smart in galvanizing the international support, uncompromising against terrorism, inclusiveness and sab ka vikas.

Tamil Nadu has progressed in several frontiers under EPS government and it is close to fulfill all dreams Amma and MGR. The marginal and economically weaker sections of people in Tamil Nadu today are finding relief and financial inclusion thanks to the initiatives of EPS. The alliance of EPS, BJP and other regional parties are in a sense evoke the ethos of progress and positivism and on the other hand, the alliance of DMK is mostly of opportunism meant to promote dynastic politics and politics of nepotism. Besides that, DMK knows only politics of hatred, negativism, anti-God, anti-Hindu rhetoric.

A firm, decisive, stable and majoritarian government alone can change the fortune and destiny our nation therefore Narendra Modi led BJP need massive a mandate and not fractured mandate.

India cannot afford to have a coalition government or a government formed under the party of the dynast or by Tukde Tukde gangs. It is the collective responsibility of every Indian to re-elect Narendra Modi so that India shall remain a stable, developed and safe country. Only nationalism and patriotism alone can ensure national security better and not the political party that revolves around certain families either in Tamil Nadu or at national level.

Victory of Narendra Modi, development, sab ka vikas and national security and not the divisive politics of the opposition parties should inspire people of India to re-elect BJP. Hope India will have the fortune of having Narendra Modi again as our dear Prime Minister to take India to new heights.
