Did We The People Deserve a Nani@100?

On 16th Jan, 2020, Nanabhoy (Nani) Ardeshir Palkhivala, would have scored a century, were he alive that day. It would possibly have been one of  the  most remarkable hundreds that any Indian may have scored in this century. After Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Babasaheb Ambedkar, he possibly can aspire to be in the league of most influential Indians of the era. Tomes have been written on him, by the dozens. The man himself, for whatever reason, chose not to write his memoir.

It is a pity that such men of eminence, in our midst, do not consider it worthwhile to leave their authentic autobiography. It would have been like the Art of Cricket, a Bhagwad Gita, to emulate, in the Art of Life of an ordinary mortal, a stammering student who made good as an oratorical genius of unmatched dimensions. A public intellectual par excellence, a lawyer with unsurpassed credentials and track record in India’s judicial history forever. A tax expert of unequalled expertise and a critique of the Union Budget, more famous than any finance minister and his annual account statement. And  above all else, a silent patriotic philanthropist, a deeply religious, spiritual not ritualistic gentleman, proud and devoted to India’s rich cultural legacy and heritage. A  rare human being who was a simple, honest, moral and ethical citizen, whose heart, mind and soul beat for India like none others’.

Where to begin! Where to go! What a life! What a man! It would be too easy google Nani and quote he, she, they and them. There is so much that has been written, by so many, about this one and yet not one or many can capture him, in full, as he was, lived and breathed a constitutional life of inimitable reverence. Born with a stammer, he became a debater, by skilling himself with marbles in the mouth. Marbles in the mouth, in semantics would suggest ‘garbled expositions’. But the God almighty knows what marbles those were that caressed that divine mouth. When he exercised those vocal chords, it was a fusillade, a Niagra fall in extreme spate, a torrential downpour of rare gems and jewels, not at random or in disarray, but firmly joint together by the divine gum, he was bestowed with. The eloquence, the short, pithy sentences were strung together to communicate to the heart, mind and soul of Bharat and Bharatiyas.

Oh My God, what was he made of? To be so simple, nice, human, yet so rare, elevated and with divine faculties, not given to any. He was not a man of his generation. He was a man of many generations. An avatar of sorts. The tapestry he weaved  and painted were enduring and enchanting. They continue to.

He became a lawyer on the rebound. He wanted to become an English professor. Just read his speeches at Annual General Meetings of Tata group of his companies. He was a litterateur. He was a great who quoted greats greatly. The AGMs were thronged for his peroration and not for the takeaways and giveaways, which culture was spawned much later. They were lyrical expositions of business, commerce, economics, obtuse subjects, packed in musical timbre. He was a wordsmith. But he chose the words that touched us, appealed to us, exposed us. Even the annual letters of Warren Buffets and Bill/Melinda Gates’ are no patch and match to Nani’s exertions.

It was divine providence that he missed out on becoming an English professor when a lady competitor beat him by a whisker. India shall eternally be grateful to that lady and Nani was nobility itself when he hosted her for a dinner, every year in faithful remembrance. Even the debt that you and I owed that lady, he repaid. That was he.

Lawyers are in practice. They are not merely addressed as learned counsel. They need to learn, learn, learn and learn more. (But do they now even learn, as he ruthlessly called the legal fraternity as comprising “legal, ethical illiterates. How so cruelly true). Malcolm Gladwell talked of 10,000 of practice for a genius to be born and bred. Nani’s 10,000 hour marathon was complete the day he made his appearance in this world, that day of his birth. How else, one could explain his Kanga &Palkhivala: The Law and Practice of Law, even as a fledgling attorney. Nature played its part in goading one Sampath Iyengar to accuse Nani of plagiarism and be exposed ruthlessly in court, when Justice A S Panchapakesa Aiyar soundly threw out the challenge as ‘rubbish’. Nani’s fame then grew, grew, grew and grew and has not stopped growing to this day. That is the beauty of these men of gold.

He always loved his Bombay House. He lived with his loving wife Nergish, childless. Entire India ‘were his children and he had the competence, capacity and skill to earn the livelihood for all of us’, as my father always said. Alas, we children went astray and continue to. It was not his loss. It is ours to mourn. Was he born in the right or wrong generation? Would India have been better off if he were alive today? With the technological marvels and tools on offer, would he have performed better? God knows whether even as a Gnani (all knowing) he was, would have been mauled and trolled online, from both sides of the aisle, say, for his following quotes. “India is like a donkey carrying a sack of gold – the donkey does not know what it is carrying but is content to go along with the load on its back. The India of the future will find her identity only by going back to the India of the past.” That is the India we are now living in, far from Nani’s dreams.

Truth to tell, he was actually born in the right generation. It was god’s will more than gift to India as C Rajagopachari @ Rajaji put it, that he was perfectly poised to take off at 30 years, when India became a Republic and Supreme Court came into being. It was not destined to be different or could have been. He had to play his part. He was not a one man band. He was an ever growing orchestra of his own. He set the music, sang and accompanied himself. Rest-in, around, above, below, inside, outside, wherever, were all part of his enthralled audience in a trance.

The heights he scaled as a lawyer can only be in dreams. Even dreams would have struggled to keep pace with the breezy man with not a minute to stand, stare and spare, if you will. India lived in his dreams. He lived in India’s dreams. But, alas, we Indians did not live his dreams. We have steadfast refused to join him. We have stood back, gaped hard and entertained ourselves in his dreams, as if in real life. He yelled, yelled, yelled and yelled, with synchronised oratory, not discordance, at us, that this was not the India he and I were meant to live in. We did not listen to him then. We never listened. No one listened. Yet, he did not give up. He kept telling us and reminded us, what was our heritage and legacy and cultural moorings and diversity. And when he died in 2002, he died a disappointed Indian, yet not despondent, as he believed in the richness our civilisational heritage, 5000 years and more old. He was a scientist at law in the calibre of Albert Einstein. An artist too, in the league of a Picasso. He was our renaissance man, we failed to emulate.

It may  be utterly hypocritical of us to praise him to the sky as is this effort. That would de riguer on the centenary of a noble son, the noblest every from the judicial firmament. A shining, lodestar. Celebrations galore may take place. Platitudes from platforms would be spoken from papers. No words will be uttered from the heart, mind and soul of India or Indians. But he would not care, that we were not listening. For, he never lost hope in India, even if he felt at times, it did not deserve us. But, celebrate, we must hoping against hope that his spirit may be lingering to rub  off on us.

India, to  him was too rich to fail. Not too big. His greed for India’s primacy was good. He would not be pleased that we were singing Happy Birthday on his century. Rather, we took up one cause dear to him and took it up as ours. It was befitting that he missed the century. We did not deserve it. Falling short of a century is always far more romantic and remembered than a ton. That is the beauty of the game of cricket. So, it is in the game of life. As Nani himself said we are a donkey walking not knowing the valuables on our back, including those that Nani Palkhivala added too, in his illustrious life.

Agglomeration of fear mongers over CAA is good, easy to isolate and decompose, support PM Modi, save India

0

Certainly India is passing through a painful period from the political perspective thanks to plenty of fear mongers in India who wants to oppose PM Modi and corruption free governance even at the cost of India. For all those corrupt forces, Modi is the major road block to execute scams and dynastic politics and hence they oppose Modi so that India is back in their hands once Modi is defeated and thereon they can play dynastic politics, loot the nation and can engage in nepotism.

Most of the opposition parties are engaged in Fnord politics and missionary activity in converting innocent people to become fearful, restless, volatile and always engage in street protests even at the cost of own progress and also that jettisons own family. All those tukde tukde gangs and political parties that promote dynastic culture and sycophancy are engaged in Fnord by way of attempting to brain wash the people by speaking repeatedly the same slogan that CAA is against certain minority community and dangerous to India. Actually all these tukde tukde gangs are trying to convert the gullible people to become stupid and irrational and at the same time also want all those people to follow the instructions of their political master blindly, deafly and mutely.

Sow lie and hatred, harvest lie and hatred and sell lie and hatred is the only business of most of those oppose Modi.

When Modi attempts to empower people economically, socially, politically and educationally, the opposition political forces want to promote corruption, dynasty and sycophancy and similarly the tukde tukde gangs wants to disengage people from own intelligence, common sense, rationalism and instead they want people to be like cow or sheep that just follow the cowherd or shepherd whether to green pasture or slaughter house innocently.

The protest of people against CAA is the best example. Most of those who participate in protest against CAA along with the political parties of the dynasts seems to know little about CAA but are very active in opposing CAA.

The ignorance of all those ignorant brigades does not stop with opposing CAA but are constantly engaged in spreading lies and fear mongering that CAA is against minority, is going to take away the citizenship of some minority community and is going to change the culture and demography of India etc.

The real problem is not the protest or opposition to CAA. In democracy people have the right to oppose anything and everything. At times, people need not even give reasons why they oppose certain initiatives of the government. But how one being so ignorant of CAA, can afford to spread lies and distort information about CAA and how people can behave like trained circus animals that follow the instructions of the ring master is quite disgusting and heartening.

It is not just the congress party of the dynast and other opposition parties are going to get alienated in India, the ignorant, brain-less logs are also going to end up as separate society or club in India. Opposing some very good initiatives of PM Modi due to political reason is also fine but spreading lies and fear mongering about CAA without even having nursery school knowledge about CAA is dangerous.

Such ‘ignorant logs’ are not harming the nation but are harming the self by remains as ignorant, innocent and irrational followers of the flock or herd and live and die as mere follower or sloganeer.

In a way the agglomeration of all negative forces, liars, and fear mongers and those promote the politics of sycophancy, dynasty and corruption is quite good although such agglomeration may initially scares us due to its mere noise but such agglomeration also would help us to easily isolate, avoid and eliminate such divisive forces through the democratic norms.

Support PM Modi and Ami Shah to make India a great land and achieve sab ka sath, sab ka vikas.

The nation and its fragments

0

Over the last few weeks, democracy has languished in the face of the majoritarian will, the withstanding and the defenseless voices were mercilessly subdued, constitutional psychosis was institutionalized in the cognizance of all dissenting minorities.

As George Bernard Shaw had said,

“The minority is sometimes right; the majority is always wrong.”

Today, the student vigor has rattled the tottering status-quo across pan-India. The PM’s rhetoric for peace is fiddling as the nation burns with a distinct cry from the demonized frontiers.

These dissents are visibly painful as a Jamia Millia Islamia University student quotes

“Delhi feels like Kashmir today.”

As inescapably, the way of democracy suffers from the dysfunction of Kashmir, the farce of NRC, and the ongoing wrath of the new CAA.

The government’s megalomaniac inclinations have transcended all conceivable evidence when Finance Minister’s comments say

“Maoists, Jihadists Getting into student activism.”

This leaves no dilemmas but to assume that nonconformities will always be distinguished as radical clusters.

For the last few weeks, such violent protests have flared across India while 125 ‘ayes’ divided the nation into minuscule fragments. This aggravated the sense of insecurities in the ideological culmination of the thriving Hindu Rashtra. But also, it proved that an assertive legislature is not enough to split India’s rainbow heterogeneity. These cries of dissents merely confront the brazenly discriminatory Law that propels India towards an Orwellian State. George Orwell also employs a term called “Reality Control,” where it gradually annihilates the story and replaces it with Government-sanctioned narratives, in the cognizance of ordinary people. Facts are ever fungible in our perception-driven world. This seems unusually flamed in PM’s comments, addressed to the outraged non-conformities after differed voices had surged across the country.

He says, “Those who creating violence can be identified by their clothes. There is no hope that these people will think about the betterment of the people of the country”

The vanity of diplomacies as a blame-game and objectification has unsurprisingly meshed into the New India that we get to experience today. Misleading populist narratives have caused fears and anxieties in the common people from the microcosms. The pluralistic and tolerant, now see the postulates of prejudiced perceptions. Social discourse and scientific anecdotes have been seized, evident from Amit Shah’s comments, “western standards of human rights should not be applied to matters on India.” Everything contradictory and renegade seems to endure saffronizing realizations.

As Northeast clamors for their very existence, their voices are slowly being annihilated by innumerable internet blackouts and indefinite curfews.

“I can’t be a Hindu or a Muslim if I am no longer an Assamese.”

Anwesha’s statement left me at a loss for a while. She continued, “As our PM proposes to integrate more Indians into our country, we are still fighting to be one of them.”

The new Law drives India in majoritarian terms, far from anything that the founders of the democracy could have imagined. The Act diversifies the remnants of Sangh Parivar’s imaginations disguised under the “neighborhood watch.” CAA and NRC combined open doors to aggressive electoral and vote-bank politics, cornering an entire community for hostile treatment. The world’s third-largest Muslim population now faces a terrifying labyrinth, from the “Assam Model of Coercion” being replicated pan-India on a broader scale.

“My Tribal forefathers from Northeast, who fought alongside the state surrendered their lives in emancipation, but their cemeteries still lie in between the forest and the rice field, unknown and unappreciated. This isn’t the India that our ancestors had strived for. What do you know of succumbing to your own identity in your own land?”

Leeza’s voice fumed with a latent aversion.

It’s not just the religious radicalization across the nation but an enormous ethnic dilution that Northeast endures today. Assam Agitation went on for 6 long years between 1979 and 1985, resulting in the Assam Accord to prevent illegal migrants from coming into the state.

In the plethora of its violation, the Citizen Amendment Act will potentially lead to the inclusion of these illegal immigrants, including those left out in NRC. This dilutes the smaller ethnic fault lines in Assam with a majority of outsiders. The Sixth Schedule in parts of Assam shelters a large number of illegal immigrants. These areas have been exempted from CAA. To seek protection from the new Law, there could be an exodus of people from these territories, making the episodes even challenging for the Northeast.

In a way, Modi and Trump share a common dream that roots from “xenophobia and ethno-supremacy.” Modi’s vision entrusted with normalcy from internet shutdowns, army deployment, and tear gas is not only disturbing but also is an overt “state of unity” established on the “marginalized differences.” Some call it Hindu Rashtra.

In India, freedom from obvious hostility often leads to shackles of constitutional colonialism and inherent imperialism. Nevertheless, as Modi perpetually says, “Everything is alright,” India will someday recognize pluralism in the post-colonial era.

Are left student organizations mobilizing student movement?

0

A claim is making rounds that a student movement has started, and this student movement is spearheaded by the Left student organizations. The student movement is the most powerful form of protest that any government dares not to face. The student movement is intended to bring about change which can be social, political, economic or environmental. Now the big question is: can the Left-wing mobilize a student movement?

The Indian Air Force recommended Dassault Rafale fighter jets for the strengthening the air force and Government of India went ahead with the deal. However, the Congress-Communist nexus was hell-bent in proving a scam in the deal. The matter went up to the Supreme Court and the apex court gave the verdict in favour of the deal following which the procurement process of the jets have already started. The Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case is a long-standing legal battle and a nation cannot afford to perpetuate the dispute. After the Ayodhya verdict came, it is the Communists who have found certain premises of the judgment as questionable.

Article 370 and 35A are roadblocks to the integration of Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of the country and also in the development of the state. While Indians are happy with the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, the Communists protest against the amendment and vow to continue fighting. Although the abrogation took place following parliamentary process, the Communists found the abrogation not only “unconstitutional, illegal and authoritarian” but also “an abrogation of democracy itself”. What a rhetoric! In 2012 the CPI(M) wanted “the Prime Minister to sympathetically consider the legitimate demand of the large numbers of Bengali refugees to recognize them as citizens of India”.

On May 22, 2012, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding an amendment to the Citizenship Act so that Bengali Hindus from Bangladesh could live a life of dignity in India. Now, the same Prakash Karat protests against citizenship amendment act. Hypocrisy thy name is Communists! At every step, the Communists are defeated and their strategies have miserably failed. Now that they are utterly vanquished, the Communists have opened up another warhead from their armoury to destabilize the democratic process.

What is this warhead? The Left student organizations. What are the achievements of Left student organizations? The Left Unity at JNU celebrated the death anniversary of noted terrorist Mohammad Afzal Guru who has hanged for carrying out attack on the Indian Parliament. On that occasion, they raised anti-national and anti-constitutional slogans such as “Bharat ki barbadi tak jung rahegi (Will fight till India is ruined)” and “Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Insha Allah Insha Allah (India will break to pieces, God willing)”. Two former students of the University of Hyderabad attempted to kill the Vice-Chancellor of their own university. At Jadavpur University the Left-leaning students heckled and manhandled Union Minister of State (MoS) for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Babul Supriyo.

One should not forget that Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ was stuck inside the AICTE auditorium for over six hours. Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta, Visva Bharati Vice-chancellor Bidyut Chakraborty and a few other leaders were confined for more than six hours by Student Federation of India (SFI), the student wing of CPI(M). Although mainstream media tried to suppress the matter, it is by now well known that students belonging to the Left Unity ransacked the server room and disrupted the registration process at JNU.

What is the ploy of the Communist parties by advancing the students? It seems that the Communists are using the students as pawn for an attack to fulfil their ulterior intention. Through propaganda, they are fuelling student. If the student matters are not handled carefully, then there can be a serious consequence. When students engage in violence and vandalism, if the police resort to lathicharge, then such police action would be considered as insensitive. The students would be portrayed as innocent kids just a bit naughty like our own kids at home, and eventually, the cruel lathicharge on innocent kids would draw the sympathy of the people.

The Communists would project the incident as the failure to the government and a deliberate attempt at suppressing the legitimate voice of the students. Finally, they would develop a massive student uprising and completely destabilize the government. However, the common students are sensible and the Communist parties are far from achieving such a wicked dream. One should remember that the Communists are like the vermiform appendix which is unnecessary but can give serious body pain.

The common students come to an academic institution for studying and they are not going to accept a students’ organization which engages in undemocratic activities, stifles the administrative machinery and spoils the academic environment in different academic institutions of the country. Again, students are not going to accept terrorist worshiping and anti-national slogan raising. These common students are never going to accept violence and vandalism on the campus. The Left students’ organizations do it all. They have gone directionless and are gradually losing the support of students. Now, let us come back to the question with which we started: can the left-wing mobilize a students’ movement? The answer is self-explanatory.

Citizenship Amendment Act: Everything wrong with the protests

0

If the Monsoon session of Parliament created history by scrapping the controversial Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, the winter session became known for another legislation:- the Citizenship Amendment Act.

The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) grants citizenship to the persecuted religious minorities from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who had arrived in India before 31 December 2014. The Citizenship Act, 1955 requires any applicant who wants Indian citizenship to have resided in India for 11 of the previous 14 years. CAA relaxes this requirement for Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and Christians of the three Muslim nations from 11 years to 5 years,  This Act makes it easier for the non-Muslim immigrants from India’s three Muslim-majority neighbours:- Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to become citizens of India.

A Message for the protestors

Article 19(1)(b) of the Indian Constitution gives all the citizens the right to assemble peacefully and without arms. While the peaceful protest is a Fundamental Right and the sign of a healthy democracy, in the ongoing protests against CAA, the protestors have been involved in the destruction of Railway property, burning of public transports, use of provocative religious slogans, the lynching of policemen on duty, and of course playing the victim card.

If people (specially Indians) are asked who is the most impactful protestor they know, most of them will answer Mahatma Gandhi. But how many Railway stations did he burn? How many times did he play the victim card? Did he approve stone peltings or lynching? The answer to these questions sums up everything that’s wrong with these protests.

Just like in most other cases, there are three kinds of people, those who support CAA, those who oppose it, and the third group which is yet to take sides. Those opposing the CAA are losing (if not already lost) the support of this third group, thanks to the actions of the protestors. My message for the protestors is:-

  • By using communal symbols and slogans, you can’t prove you are fighting for a secular India.
  • By disrespecting the rule of law, you can’t prove you are fighting to save the Constitution.

A question for the Government

One of the biggest red flags of CAA is not religious, but economic. Our country is already facing problems of overpopulation, unemployment and dearth of a skilled labour force. Is it economically feasible to incorporate the refugees when we are already overexploiting our resources? The most unfortunate thing is that few people seem to give a damn about it.

Instead of trying to prove that the CAA violates Article 14 or giving irrelevant opinions, I would like to ask the government:-

  • How will the government provide resources to the incoming refugees?
  • How will the government ensure the productive incorporation of the unskilled refugees?
  • How will the government ensure that accepting refugees does not further burden the economy?

The most unfortunate part is that people have prioritized issues of ideology over those of basic livelihood. This is not to say that identity-based issues are not important, but prioritizing these over actual economic concerns shows the level of awareness in our country where rationality and logic are secondary to ideologies and political agendas.

Caste education: Decoding caste system

Recently in Tamilnadu, teaser of a low budget film titled “Draupadi” created polarization among OBC communities against Dalit based parties. The teaser spoke about how Dalit based organizations are involved in organized syndicate of love-trapping affluent OBC community girls and creating havoc among their families.

The rise of Dalit based movie creators over past decade in Tamilnadu, opened up Dalit centric view of social life and also they exposed the difficult terrain being pushed by the affluent communities on them. As the immediate fallout, Ramadoss, founder of one of the caste based parties (PMK) immediately started exposing the organized love-trapping done by Dalit parties against their community girls in the name of equality and it created clashes among communities across North Tamilnadu.

All the Dalit centric parties ganged up and called for stopping of the release of the movie “Draupadi”. In one of the prime time debate surrounding this controversy director of the film Mohan, clearly told that the need of the hour is caste based education. Instead of keep on abusing our society about caste based issues, if we can take a step back and explain to the next generation about the rationale behind the caste system we can avoid most of the violent incidents around it.

Indic Texts on Caste:

There are numerous texts in our tradition which support the view that caste is not determined based on birth but based on the life a person leads. Like the profession, nature of food habits etc. Even in Bhagwad Gita it is said that the Varna (Caste) is determined based on profession not based on birth.

There are numerous scripts which in detail explain how the Varna of a person should be determined based on the profession and nature of his living not based on birth.

Triumph of Brahmanism:

According to Ambedkar, in his book (Triumph of Brahmanism), Varna has been determined based on social status and profession. But he observes that the very meaning given for “Brahmin” has collapsed the entire concept. Also he explains about the way Varna was determined in previous times.

In one way (Census) there was a group of officials (called Manu) whom we can relate to as Govt officials of current times who take part in a Census activity and determines the Varna of each person. This activity happens every 4 years, so a person can move across the hierarchy any way in his entire life time. In the second way through Gurukuls, the Varna of a person is determined. Based on the interest and nature of the student, teacher in the Gurukul will determine his Varna. Main difference between the above two ways are in Census way People can change the Varna but in the Gurukul way Varna can’t be changed. But in both ways Varna can’t be determined by Parents.

The third way (Time of distress) is the one which we follow now and it converted Varna into Castes.

Time of Distress:

Communists blame everything on Manu-Smriti. But many (don’t want us to) know that there are 6 Manu texts (smiritis). They are Svayambhuva manu, Svarocishe Manu, Uttama Manu, Tapasa Manu, Raivata Manu and Kakshusha manu. During the rise of Buddhism across India, Vedic scholars announced the Time of distress as there was patronage all across India for Buddhism by the rulers. People where openly criticizing the Vedic rituals, so the Vedic scholars gathered and wrote the Seventh substitute script “Visvasvat Manu”. But they have openly declared, once the Time of Distress is over we have to start following the previous Manu script which is Kakshusha manu.

But a twice-born, who, without being in distress, performs his duties according to the law for times of distress, obtains no reward for them in the next world; that is the opinion (of the sages).(11:28)

By the Visve-devas, by the Sadhyas, and by the great sages (of the) Brahmana (caste), who were afraid of perishing in times of distress, a substitute was made for the (principal) rule. (11:29)

Here the Principle rule stands for Kakshusha manu and the Substitute is the Visvasvat Manu.

As per Ambedkar this period was around 270 B.C and during this time only power to determine of Varna of a person was handed over to their Parents. As time progressed it became rigid and led to following of Castes based on Birth.

So as per the above history it can be clearly ascertained that the Varna of a person is based on Profession & Nature of a living. Also a person can move across Varna in his life time there are no discriminations. Once it became Caste we are struck in a quagmire. Let us pray that the next generation at least understands this idea and try to live with clearer awareness on Castes & Varna.

Varna Based on Spirituality:

Another theory based on Indic consciousness is that Varna is used to determine the Spiritual Progress of a person. As our life in India is more of seeking than believing, a person can attain God realization on 4 ways. They are Gnana,Bhakti,Kriya & Karma.

So based on these, a person can choose the way he/she wants to follow to attain God realization.

Sudras: If you use your body, or physical action to reach the ultimate, we call this Karma yoga

Kshatriyas: If you transform your energies and try to reach the ultimate, we call this Kriya yoga

Vaishiyas: If you use your emotions and try to reach the ultimate, we call this Bhakti yoga.

Brahmins: If you use your intelligence and try to reach the ultimate, we call this Gnana yoga.

As life starts, we like more of doing things physically. Slowly we transform ourselves and finally reach the stage that we will try to gain God realization based on our Intelligence (Gnana).

So as a Seeker in our entire span of Life we move across different Varnas and finally reach the God Consciousness the highest goal which we can aspire as a human being.

Let us more gracefully approach the idea of Caste and Varna and educate about the nuisances of the Varna system to our next generation, so that they become a better Seeker in their life.

India should ensure decomposition not just defeat of tukde tukde gangs, dynastic politics and fear mongers

0

Like how people of India have showed their extraordinary wisdom and commitment in electing Modi with massive majority both in 2014 and again in 2019 by defeating all those dynastic parties that promote corruption, nepotism and sycophancy; time has come, people of India must engage in mass scale clean up our political system. It is not just the defeat, but complete decomposition of the negative politics of the tukde tukde gangs and the dynastic political parties and only then India can be saved. Otherwise, all those tukde tukde gangs are likely to gather some glue to attach with each other and become a louder noise in India and catastrophic famine.

A peaceful India, a prosperous India, the India that can remain diverse and vibrant, we the Indians should gather under one common identity and culture irrespective of our different religious affiliations and only through such mass mobilization under Modi, we can save India.

Unfortunately most of the political parties are doing nothing but promoting their respective families, sycophants and some pockets their vote bank cleverly with certain caste arithmetic.

The political demography of India has been cruelly divided by many opposition parties on the basis of various caste equations and hence eliminating the caste system is quite difficult in India. As a result of constant re-enforcement of caste centric politics, India finds more Indians who think less of India and more of their own castes.

We must differentiate caste and religion from India’s great culture and tradition. We greet our fellowmen with ‘Namaste’. We respect our elders and women hood; all these are part of our tradition and culture. Our culture and tradition is a-religious and hence we should not oppose our ancient tradition and culture from the optics of religion. Hinduism and Hindutwa are two sacred words that carry world of meaning and messages. Hindus that we call as religion today certainly shares the larger expressions of Hinduism and Hindutwa but we should not let the tukde tukde gangs to mix the terms – Hindus and Hinduism are the same.

Hinduism is our cultural and tradition’s identity.  India that we refer always reflects only the sacred culture of India called Hinduism. People with other religious faiths and beliefs need not conclude Hinduism is more about Hindus than anything else. Hinduism is more about India, its culture, tradition, tolerance and how and why India remains secular because India’s tradition and culture is Hinduism.

Therefore promoting and perpetuating Hinduism is the primary responsibility of every Indian and in that mission people should not mix their religion. It is like how all Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and other religions in India are Indians, they are also part and parcel of our sacred culture and tradition called Hinduism. Hinduism is the universal expression of India and is not limiting to Hindus alone.

BJP is appealing to people to unite under our great culture and tradition called Hinduism only with the intent and spirit to unite all Indians irrespective of their religious affiliations and not to divide them like how the congress party and other tukde tukde gangs in India operate their politics.

BJP inspires people to re-invent and re-invigorate Hinduism so that India can be developed in toto without any disparity, discrimination and rejection. Modi has perfectly called such mission – Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas. But most of the opposition parties and the age old party of the dynast are engaged in minority appeasement, using the religious leaders of some minority community to influence their respective communities to vote in favour of them and to please the minority community, they even abuse Hindus.

Hindus must unite and re-invent Hinduism to unite India and must tell the minority community that Hinduism is all about India’s culture and tradition, hallmark and identity and is not in favour or against any religion. Indian electorates must work overtime not just to defeat the opposition parties that oppose Modi but people must ensure all those negative and lie and fear mongers are fully putrefied and decomposed electorally.

Divinity and God needs no counter force, instead God exist only to destroy the evil forces.

The politics of Modi and Amit Shah are centred on honesty, corruption free governance, sab ka vikas and hence such good governance and noble leaders need no opposition. If people of India does not wake up to this new reality and go one step further to ensure complete decomposition of all those negative politics of various regional parties and political forces of several dynasts, we cannot save India.

It is not just electing Modi alone is the responsibility but ensuring the complete elimination of all lie and negative politics from India is also equally important and only then India can be developed. People of India must realize the truth that Hinduism is our culture, tradition and identity and let us not reduce or diminish our identity by opposing it because it carries the prefix-Hindu.

Justice and Law

0

The statue of blind woman with the balance
dressed in white, pacific and not nonchalant!
So is the person – Judge or Chief Justice
Listening to prosecutor, defence, witnesses.

It’s said law is about facts,
while justice is abstract!
Relying on facts,
judgement is passed.

Facts – tangible, defence and prosecutors brought
Lead to exact implication, results, favourable or not
but can they explain manipulation in thought?

Physically, tangibly, justice is blind
Who takes care of improper mind
That’s when divine providence comes into play
Maybe not immediate, but circle of life has a say!
