India needs Uniform Civil Code

Indians crying against UCC now should not forget that the Supreme Court of India had also asked the Centre in 1985, 1995, 2003, 2015 and 2019 to consider about UCC.

The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is a proposal in India to formulate and implement personal laws of citizens which apply on all citizens equally regardless of their religion, gender and sexual orientation.

To our astonishment, the historian Shri Ramchandra Guha lambasted the Left Communists and liberals in India for opposing the UCC in his article in 2016. This article is an eye-opener.
