NEP 2020: Bridging the gaps in the higher education system in India

0

With more than 750,000 Indian students studying abroad, is it wrong to say that the reason is the quality of education provided? Or maybe when we compare our education system with the west, there is not much in terms of actual learning. The lack of focus on providing practical knowledge is one of the main reasons universities abroad appeal more to the students here who are looking for an industry-based education. Even the evaluation process in the examinations focus only on putting higher grades on the certificates, instead of grasping the concepts.

With the aim to transform India into a global knowledge of superpower and to emphasise on the importance of creativity and imagination, the Indian government, after multiple talks with ministers, has replaced the 34-year-old National Policy on Education with the New Education Policy of 2020. By bringing a slew of major changes including allowing top universities to set up campuses to India, planning to shift institutes to multi-disciplinary fields, and a greater proportion of students getting vocational education, the policy envisages a complete overhaul of the current higher education system in India.

The NEP approved by the Union Cabinet is a fresh of breath air which could not have come at a better time than this. While the higher education sector across the world is working together to reopen university campuses, the Indian government took a step back to reflect on the challenges that the education system faced. As a result of which, the government has pushed for a policy that would bring about a change in the system of education that we have been following all this time.

Let’s take a look at the key highlights of the policy which are all set to boost India’s image as a country with abundance of knowledge and all the makings of a future education hub.

1. The NEP 2020 has envisioned the establishment of a liberal, multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary education ecosystem which will lay strong emphasis on liberal arts, humanities, and social sciences along with studies in STEM and medicine. According to this, by 2040, all higher education institutions in the country shall aim to become multidisciplinary institutions, each of which should ideally have 3,000 or more students and by 2030, there should be at least one large multidisciplinary institution in or near every district.

As per the new policy, engineering institutions like IITs must move towards more holistic and multidisciplinary education involving arts and humanities, whereas students pursuing arts and humanities will aim to learn a bit of science. This mix of subjects streams being offered to students will prove to be a great advantage to students, giving them more flexibility and knowledge-based learning.

2. Previously, international campuses could only set base in India by partnering with an Indian institution under the Foreign Educational Institutions Bill 2010, which has now been changed. Under the NEP 2020, select universities from the top 10 across the world will be facilitated to begin operations in India. Along with this, an International Students’ Office hosting overseas students will be set up at each institution.

By allowing international campuses, India will be able to offer world-class education, without students having to pursue higher education abroad. It will also mean that there will be a considerable reduction in the likelihood of human capital moving to other countries for better job prospects. That’s not all, these foreign collaborations are going to pave a way for local institutes to modify and design their curriculum in alignment with theirs and offer a range of subjects and specialisations to students.

3. The NEP 2020 will focus on increasing the Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education from 26.3% to 50% by 2035. The plan is to emphasise on providing a flexible curriculum through an interdisciplinary approach, creating multiple exit points in the multidisciplinary bachelor’s or graduate program. This means students can exit at any time – after one year with a certificate, after two years with a diploma, and after three years with a bachelor’s degree.

There will be single discipline universities, along with Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERUs) and a National Research Foundation set up, according to the policy. For students pursing higher education, an Academic Bank of Credit will be established where they can digitally store academic credits earned from different HEIs and these will be transferred and counted towards their final degree earned.

Along with rapid growth, the Indian government’s shift in higher education policies, and the way in which they are planning to go about will matter a lot, depending on the needs and priorities of the entire sector. At which point, it is important to note that the real test would begin where the regulatory guidelines have to be set for foreign universities to enter the Indian higher education ecosystem. The government is also promoting a strong Stay in India and Study in India program, which is great for universities in the UK and across the world to pay heed and look at how they can engage with the large student community here.

NEP 2020: Ushering globalization of Indian education system

The young man beamed across the table illuminated by scores of luminaries that included an ex-foreign secretary as the chairman of the interview committee and scores of policymakers from MHRD, CSIR and DST. It was a process to appoint Scientific Attache by the DST across three countries. His presentation on the topical issue of “Science and Diplomacy” was well received and he was now flooded with run of the mill pointers regarding research and education. Finally, the soft voice of the chairman crackled amidst the barge of questions “Well Dr Parthasarathi, what is your assessment of the scientific collaborations we have with other nations?”

Taken aback a bit, I was determined to give a piece of my mind to the apex bureaucrats garlanding the committee. “Sir, what I think is we should start from a clean slate. No scientific collaborations will be beneficial to us if it doesn’t profit out researchers. I propose that we should emphasize on meaningful alliances at the University level itself. This includes exchange of ideas and opinions with collaborative research on topics of mutual interest that shall put value at both ends of the table”.

This response raised several eyebrows with a slew of barbs from the section of interviewers. Although rejected by the committee, I had firm faith in the idea that any collaboration that entails transfer of cutting edge technology for our projects ultimately is half done exercise to salvage our short term interests. In the long run, it defeats the basic purpose of innovation and quality research while making us dependent on imports of technology and equipment for our national progress. This credence has been amply vindicated with the advent of the National Education Policy 2020(NEP 2020) which envisages huge emphasis on globalization of our higher educational system and research.

This is proposed to be actuated vide instituting research and teaching collaborations by exchange of faculties and students with high-quality foreign institutions across the globe. For the first time, it has put Indian Universities at the centre of such global alliances backed by necessary policy framework. The incorporation of such seminal ideas into our education policy should be welcomed by all the stakeholders of the University system which is slated to reap rich dividends from the aforesaid policy.

Such exchanges will impart a much needed impetus on collaborative research on topical subjects thus facilitating mutually beneficial processes to embark upon cutting edge research and innovation. It includes setting up campuses in other countries by top Indian Universities and stimulating Universities of eminence with demonstrative excellence across the world to operate in India. Such universities shall be allotted special dispensation regarding regulatory, governance, and content norms on par with other autonomous institutions of India. Furthermore, NEP 2020 proposes to lay down legislative steps to expedite research collaboration and student exchanges between Indian institutions and their global counterparts. This is envisioned in recognition of the credits acquired by the student in foreign universities which shall be counted for the award of a degree by any Indian HEI’s

If implemented with diligence and adequate government and industrial funding, these initiatives have the power to transform technical education in India which is critical to its overall growth and development. Such interactions and exchanges shall galvanize policy makers to draw effective steps that allow the nation to become leaders in rapidly evolving cutting-edge areas that are fast gaining prominence. These efforts will allow us to take the lead in preparing professionals in disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3-D machining, Virtual Reality, big data analysis, and machine learning. They will prove to be drivers of innovation and growth with the ability to impact every facet of the scientific and economic ecosystem in India.

The gap in demand for well qualified manpower in these sunrise sectors can be bridged with such synergistic partnerships which shall encourage closer collaborations between industry and HEI’s to drive innovation and research in these fields. The expanse of technical education can be widened to positively impact teaching programmes offered by multidisciplinary education with renewed focus on opportunities to engage profoundly with other disciplines.

Further, this will allow Indian students to have a greater flexibility in choosing their individual curricula and acquaint them with adaptive learning technologies, subjects’ skills and capacities to achieve innovative, adaptive and productive abilities to galvanize nation’s progress in areas of cutting edge technologies. Such collaborations shall encourage interaction and cooperation among students, teachers and researchers leading to germination of seminal ideas and creation of new knowledge thus making our educational system truly global in nature. It also provides students the chance of cross-cultural interaction by teaming with people from different cultures and working together in groups, making them equipped with enhanced communicative skills and global awareness.

The success of radical initiatives requires a clear action plan with enshrined targets and timelines to become meaningful and realizable goals of the Indian educational system. Combined with an ambitious aim to achieve a Gross enrolment ratio (GER) of 50% by 2025, such partnerships at the global scale will go a long way to realize the full potential of India’s demographic dividend.

The Ambiguity of ‘E’, politics over EIA 2020

0

Environment or Economy? The gested principles of human life instruct us to respect our environment and also protect it but what about our monetory stability?

With current scenario of the country, amidst the COVID-19 crises when the world is facing scores of economic crashes, the primitive instinct of every responsible leader of a country would be to streamline the complications of business sector and stable the economy which is indeed burdensome.

The newly brought Environment Impact Assessment 2020 draft, formally known as the EIA 2020 amends certain implications which could result in losing confidence of industrialists and businessman. The draft further diluted the process to set up a new industry and provisions for them to even skip the whole assesment process. Many alleged experts pointed out implications in EIA 2020 by Modi led Government but forgot to acknowledge the initial dilution brought in the assessment under the UPA Government in 2006. The new EIA 2020 brought under NDA Government is a topic of debate. Country is under an economic crisis, and one of the ways to overcome it, is favouring industries and it’s ease of establishment.

But as said there should a balanced approach in the course of action. Completely sidelining the economy has disastrous consequences for an already dried up money flow of the country. The same people who objected and yelled so much about the crashing economy are now camouflaging their political agenda by being environmentalists. Rest assured it’s just a draft, off the latch to amendments with public opinions.

The recipe for an ecosystem that can counter the narrative of anti-India forces

0

In recent times, we have seen a continuous debate going around the term “Nationalist Ecosystem”. There has been a rising demand from all quarters of the society to form a structure which is efficient in fighting the narrative of breaking India forces and is result oriented at the same time. For that to happen, one need to ponder upon the very terms “Nationalist” and “Ecosystem”, first and foremost.

Who Is a Nationalist?
Going in very simple terms, a nationalist can be defined as the one who contributes in the process of nation building in any form, be it through positive contributions or through rebuking influx of negative or anti-nationalist forces.

What is an Ecosystem?
This can be defined as a self-sustaining and independent system in which every individual unit, every entity who is the part of the system has a symbiotic relationship with other entities of the ecosystem. The interdependence may not just be monetary but in kind too.

In every ecosystem, there is a common source of energy which nurtures it, and the energy is transferred to all units though one another. But for an ideological ecosystem, the source could be multiple and energy could be in various forms.

What is the need of a Nationalist Ecosystem?
As India move towards a technologically advanced world, the threats that she face as a nation have made inroads into the very psyche of the citizens. The social media has played a very pivotal road in this. The platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube etc., have given a medium to breaking India forces, using which they can very easily spread their ideology, and their filthy propaganda against India. As there are two sides to all coins, this is the evil side of social media.

In this era, a nation cannot be safeguarded by the enemies just by securing the borders. The country needs to have forces that tackles the enemies within, enemies who take the garb of seculars, liberals, intellectuals, free speech activists, and nationalists while propagating the ideas that stand against these very virtues. This needs the support of the citizens themselves as these anti-India forces hold an Indian passport and government of the day have some limitations against use of force against such paid mercenaries of the propaganda driven activism.

What is needed to create such an ecosystem?
One can be very sure of one thing, that creation of any ecosystem is a long and tedious process which requires continuous efforts and a huge support system. This article will try to enunciate the minimum requirements that needs to be addressed, keeping side by side how the left-wing is much ahead of right-wing in every parameter:

  1. Finances: There is a need of nourishment for any system to survive and thrive. There is no well settled structure in India that can fund a movement to construct a right-wing ecosystem. Whatever ecosystems that are right leaning are being targeted regularly. Republic TV, opIndia, RSS are well known examples, while the left-wing is able to get funding through various channels that are anti-India like China, Pakistan, Halalonomics, Gulf countries etc., George Soros being the latest addition. Even the big corporate houses who are part of economic right-wing, do not want to get associated with the political right-wing. They are comfortable funding the political left as a protection against continuous harassment that the leftists may shower them with. The corporates know that the struggle of working class against the bourgeoisie (read: capitalist) is the very foundation of communist ideology and hence, it is very easy for left-wing activists to incite worker unions strikes in their factories. And the media which is largely left-wing, is going to support these manufactured protests. So, it can be comfortably inferenced that until and unless the right-wing finds something that gives corporate houses the hope of winning against these extortionist tactics, they cannot fund right-wing. The right-wing needs funds not to incite riots or disrupt public orders, but to create a dedicated workforce like the left which can continuously debunk the propaganda spread by the left against India. Most of the foot soldiers in right-wing have to be the bread winners of their families first, while the left-wing brigade is well paid by their top leaders. The Quint, The Print, The wire, altnews are just some glaring examples.
  2. Time: The right-wing or nationalist ecosystem that in India is at a very nascent stage that started in 2014 with the advent of Mr. Narendra Modi as our PM. Before him, it was only our freedom fighters who were able to create this. In contrast, the communist or the left-wing has been in the existence centuries before that, though it got subdued at times but always resurfaced as a greater force. The bible of left-wing, “Communist Manifest” by Karl Marx was released in 1848. So, those who want to be a part of this right-wing ecosystem have to be prepared for a long and arduous journey ahead.
  3. Common Rallying Point: For a cause to succeed, the aim and vision should be crystal clear. The people who want to be a part of a right-wing ecosystem lack this. Every person will give different replies if asked about top five reasons why he wants to join political right-wing ecosystem. The issues range from free the temples movement, ban cow slaughter, Kashmir issue, to Hindutva and akhand-bharat, while the left has through its action sand deeds has clearly specified its enemies, Narendra Modi in particular and Hinduism in general. The significance of this point can be comprehended through two examples:

    a. It was only when Indian freedom fighters gave the call for “Poorna Swaraj”, the freedom movement gained the common support.
    b. In 2014, Mr. Narendra Modi gave the call for “Congress Mukta Bharat” just to make the vision of BJP clear to every Indian.
  4. Synchronization: This can be understood from a recent incident of Palghar lynching. The right-wing created enough voice to ensure swift action, which is commendable. Republic tv did back to back reporting on the incident, so much so that Mr. Arnab Goswami is still suffering from afterburns. But do anyone remember about that case which is just two months old but the left-wing will never let you forget how Akhlaq was lynched in 2015. They still beat their chests for convicts of Delhi riots that happened in January 2020, Safoora and Sharjeel, arrested in February, 2020. The reason behind this is simple, they are synchronized, they are coordinated and their multiple smaller ecosystems that work independently otherwise, such as The Wire, the print etc., respond to call in support of smallest entity of their larger ecosystem. They attack the right-wing in a very well planned and coordinated manner. The hashtags that trend on social media every other day “#islamophobia_in_India”, “#stop_abusing_muslims” are the result of these systematic and organized structure. There is a lot of scope for improvement for the right-wing in this department.
  5. ArticulationThe right-wing aspirants need to learn this skill from their opponents. The left-wing content creators use this skill like an art. For every article, report, video or debate show, the comrades sound so neutral that you will start believing their every statement, even fake news. This skill is a gift from our freedom fighters against British that used it for publishing articles subtle enough to defy the draconian press acts while still spreading the message of freedom. The left has hanged on to this art and used it very well to further its propaganda. Otherwise, the champions of the right-wing ecosystem will continue to be targeted by the liberal left and harassed in the name of puny FIRs, that although, will not hold any value in court, but are enough to intimidate the lot, create panic and confusion, and divert them from their goal.
As it is often mentioned, keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. If the right-wing can take some cues from their arch rival, they do have a shot at forming an ecosystem that sustains itself, and its entities too. Even if that does not happen, a nationalist ecosystem is an inevitable truth, something that is bound to happen, maybe slowly, but surely.

Population Control Law: Need of the new India

0

After successfully pushing India’s infrastructure development from roadways, railways, airports, waterways to developing better infrastructure in hilly areas of north-east India. Narendra Modi govt is correcting historical frauds done by previous governments. But rapid growth in population of country, there lies a threat to India’s development ahead.

Common people, NGOs & few member of parliaments are raising their voices to bring measure like two child policy to curb population explosion. Population control law is need of the hour for futuristic sustainable development of India and also to reduce burden on natural resources. India’s current population is more than 138 crore as per worldometers.info and India will be world’s highest populated country in years to come. It is necessary to take bold & decisive steps towards nation building and bring ‘Population Control Law’ to ensure equal distribution of resources and wealth.

Awareness must be created among people about population control law to avoid rumors that can instigate fear among masses specially minority community. It will also be an important duty for Indian citizen to follow it for better future of our upcoming generations.

Honk and flash as you hark

0

The COVID crisis has turned the world on its head and brought everyone at their wits’ end, as the formulae that worked perfectly till now are no longer hitting home. However, for those who are creative, this is the perfect time to think out of the box. This reminds me of a quote by E. B. WhiteEverything in life is somewhere else, and you get there in a car. Does driving a car have anything to do with creativity? Considering the increase in urbanization by almost 4% in the last decade and concomitant increase in the ease of navigating through life by virtue of increased levels of car ownership, it wouldn’t be unjust to allow cars to enjoy their share of credit in feeding creative instincts.to spur breakthrough ideas. One such idea that has gained ground ever since the pandemic struck, is that of ‘honk as you hark!’

Be it watching a movie, or attending a musical concert, drive-in is here to stay for long. Whether you want to bask in the glow of stars on a moonlit night alongside enjoying your favourite movie, or avail the services of a curbside pickup from the relative safety of your car, revamps in this quick-service market are underway to cater to your needs.

Besides ensuring safety and comfort while engaging in luxurious pursuits, drive-in and drive-through formats have also been leveraged to develop testing facilities for COVID-19. Ever since the drive-in was conceived as a solution to redefining customer experience, many small and big players in the market have been innovating continuously to provide customers with a wide range of services in various domains.

Adapting to the changing needs in Covid times, close relatives like three-wheelers have also pitched in to make ‘contactless experiences’ far from being  preserve of the elite. Not only are they providing easy access to weekend getaways for the entertainment-starved audience, but also enabling businesses find their feet in Covid-battered economy. In a recently organized music festival at Bangkok, concert-goers were picked up by what is known as a tuk tuk. These three-wheeled taxis helped in complying with regulations of social distancing as music-lovers were introduced to a one-of-its kind experience after the lifting of lockdown.

Interesting, isn’t it?

Things change, and you can’t stop them!

0

In the heat of passion rational is burned! Things change and change is an eternal fire…

A lot has been said and told about change, but for some change is a mere shadow of surrendering to the whims and fancies of others, while for others changes are mere means of ensuring enforcement of their will. Change only bring opportunities for those who seek to accomplish something.

Ever imagined why change after change after change has not resulted, in India becoming a superpower? Or some other nation has sought to return to peaceful coexistence with there peers or nature? Or horrors of war have subsided? Because although there is a certainty about change, somethings never change.

Mathematics of change

There are, just like science and mathematics relationships in social life as well. These relationships affect individual, families, clans, societies, communities and nations. We have given them many names, mores, values, customs, traditions, norms, culture, stereotypes and so on. But there is something underlying these relationships as well, something that sets them up. This “invisible force” relates an individual with its environment and society. It forces affected parties to make rules of conduct. But this invincible force is neither supernatural nor whim of a individual, Rather it is a constant struggle of understanding our surroundings in order to improve our survival. In other words this is the sole constant in the equation of society.

But it is not that simple, what about a soldier who knowingly mans the post of an inevitable life threatening assault? or what about last stands? or what about a mother who beckonest of a certain heart wrenching pain and possibility of death anyways gives birth? it would be simple to go through with these events “exceptions” because there are no exceptions in nature.

A simple explanation is constant discussed above prepares us to trade individual lives for collective survivability, what we do as a individual at the end has only one purpose to improve the chances of survival of US AS A SOCIETY.

So, what if we deny due respect to this force constant and subject it to change? What happens if we completely change our approach towards survival? The same thing which happened in first and seventh century CE. We start controlling a constant. In any mathematical equation which involves a constant, variables always have a relationship with each other, because of this constant. But if we can change the constant results became unexpected, positive or negative.

A few examples

Christianity has changed a constant that is “Supremacy of Rational” it has replaced it with “Supremacy of Faith”. To quote Sadhu shri Jaggi Vasudev Ji, “in the world full of uncertainty, a belief of Knowing something makes you unstoppable”. And thus, Christianity survived floods, famines, flames and Fortitude of its Victims.

A similar case can be made up for Islam, they changed there constant too, which was “Supremacy of the truth” the replaced it with “Supremacy of the word”. Apparently, the search for truth has turned into an ever ending fight for religious dominance.

Change has taken sides with those who surrendered to it completely, but often change does not completely reforms the society, often there are pockets where effect of change and resistance coexist. Here special efforts had to be made either revert to original state or wipe out the resistance entirely, for example Yazidies or Jews or Indians.

But, there are cases where Society has changed its relationships but not the constant, this has allowed invaders to study the society with ease and execute a debilitating blow to its core. Often this blow was absorbed by layer upon layer of Social defenses, however, for how long they can sustain such assault depended upon variables like available resources, persuasiveness of the cause and Population. So, we have seen Indians of Nuristan, Sindh, Khaibar Pakhtunwa, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Thailand etc. Vanished, Indians living post 1947 India Survive, only to be plagued by changing scenario. However Keeping the constant has its own benefits, for example it creates a strong desire to keep land and people safe, secondly it connects us with our past experiences, thirdly, it allows us to connect with our past more easily and efficiently than a mere faith or spoken word and lastly it has a value in boosting our morale.

Here we have controlled the change to affect relationships, but not the constant which induces those relationships.

An obligatory explanation/ disclaimer

But are Christians and Muslims living in India not Indians? Ask any Christian or Muslim “Indian” what are the core values of India and then compare what was happening in India during mid of seventh century. Again the prevalence of the Phrases “South Asian” partition of India during 1945, subversive activities in India prove that they are not. However, they enjoy political and social rights as an Indian often there emotional and cultural attachment remains fixated to places outside India. To quote Mr. Rajiv Malhotra “Often Religious institutions act as foreign offices and only answerable to their overlords beyond Indian boarders”. Thus here Indians enjoy benefit of Consistency with the constant and foreigners of changing of constant…just like when Tide meets the Shore!

However this digression from our original discussion brings forth a rather common question, is following a particular way of life only means being Indian? As I said before those who are moved by the constant, can only claim a relationship with the Indian society. Thus, even those parts of the Indian Society which fail to come to terms with the constant are not Indians.

Meeting the change

Change is not a uniform phenomena which affects to every object uniformly, but keeping a record of change ensures an optimal mobilization to meet the tribulations, change of things even if abrupt creates its marks, and interpretation of those marks lies with those who either acquire the public forum or train such people who may in future acquire such platforms. a same thing can be debilitating and motivating depending upon how one interprets it, Darius of Persia said to have appointed to remind him of his defeat in Greece, however in case of India, forums were encroached by such slaves that made the defeat of Sindh Final! Remarkably, the records survived and a few people kept motivating the Indians. This kept the fight on.

If we look at the single most unique and powerful achievement of Indians, it is nothing but calling this Constant, the invincible force the all pervasive the binder of Deva and Asuras alike “Dharma”. The Idea of dharma neither asks us to surrender to change nor resist it, it is controlled way of coming to the terms of changing reality of the times in a constructive manner, ensuring as high survivability of society as possible. No one can Master Dharma because it is the one true ruler of Humans, whether they know it or not.

This invention of Indians is so powerful that despite thousand years of slavery it has allowed us to think rationally, ask question and resist surrounding subservience. It is so fascinating that generation after generation of Indians have reforged alliances that their forefather have cherished, they returned to same deities which were lost to invaders and pillagers. It is so great that it has kept alive the will to fight Physically and fundamentally with invader. It is a realization of the truth that though we can’t resist change, but fortunately same rule applies to aggressor as well.

Things that change

Essentially, a natural change affects results of Constants, that is the relationship among the factors. This starts a circle as changing factors change values which puts a strain on Constant which either changes to accommodate changing values and becomes entirely worthless or asks factors to accommodate by increasing there productivity. In latter case change improves the worth of overall society, in the former case social equations collapse and gets replaced by a new one.
A simple example lies in Indian History, the time when Indians were capable in production their laws, mores and values were comparatively safe.

However as soon as they became a factor of production and only one part of economy they lost their uniqueness and their laws, mores and other sorts of relationships were frequently changed and the fancy of  State. This phenomenon is also present in Chinese society, once Chinese lost their independence to Manchurian Qing dynasty there mores took a hit as they further lost control on production, but post ’90s China became world manufacturing hub and dictates its will, similarly, Japanese could maintain their worth despite losing to Allies simply due to them being risen to the moment on time and time again.

However production does not means only economic goods, it includes academic excellence, Ideas, Innovations, People.

Population is another aspect of production, as it is one of the factors that directly impact security perception of society, an insecure society is often economically and intellectually challenged. Until the rate of growth of population of a society is unity or more than it, Population remains stable. However as soon as the growth rate becomes less than unity the population dwindles until it becomes non existent. Change often create a void in population which is filled by dominant party. If invaders are dominant they start a process of conversion of population, which only ends with dominance of invader or collapse of social equation of the past. If defenders are dominant after a primary setback they start the process of absorption where invader loses its identity and becomes part of defending society. For the invaders only way to avoid this is to create confusion of similarity with defending society which if established gives a shell to it inside which it can keep up with its growth until it finally breaks its shell and catch the now weak, or relatively weak Defending society.

Conclusion

Change is the enemy of certainty, however we want to be certain we don’t know what the next moment holds for us. Change can’t be resisted, but can be managed. Unless that which needs to be changed is changed there remains a threat of revolution. Thus, the solution is neither to resist nor to surrender but to see which factor of the social equation requires change, in this way we can follow Dharma and yet remain relevant.
