We have been driven by lot of expectations from our near and dear ones, other social elements, our own mind and we run around those expectations in whole life thinking that it will lead to joy and peace of mind. One expectation is fulfilled, immediately new one comes up in our mind then we start chasing it and this goes on for whole life. Certainly, it is preordained to grow in life, but just materialistic growth is the only purpose of life? we need to deliberate on it.

Nature tends to give away everything it has to help every living organism in the universe. It never discriminates whether the living being is reciprocating the same way towards nature. Human beings are the luckiest of all the living beings owing to the fact that nature has given us vast Mind, Huge Intellect, unlimited storage called Memory which we overlook even after knowing the purpose and take it for granted. We seriously need to rethink why our life is full of stress, misery, many of us are suffering from depression, anxiety and so many mental disorders. While running all the time outwardly to find joy and peace of mind, we forget inward journey in between to lead a quality life.

“People try to create an outwardly perfect life, but the quality of life is based on the inward” – Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

When we start to look inward, we come to know various potentials and dimensions of life and in that we learn that quality of life is in giving and not in just taking. Meditation and service (Seva) in gratitude will take us closure to nature, leading to quality life in terms of happiness, peace of mind and materialistic growth keeping in mind to protect and work for nature.

“Have a larger goal; serve and be useful to others around you. Then you will find that only happiness flows through your life”.

“Don’t run after anybody. You are important in your life. Focus on your career, acquiring talents and doing Seva for society. If at all you have to please anybody, please God, please the Divine and please yourself”.

“If you are doing seva you will have no dearth. Whatever is needed will come to you when you need it”.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Today, we are standstill owing to Corona virus, many people have lost their wealth, life, peace of mind thinking that they were very powerful but unable to do anything even though they have everything to control others, this is the time we need to start our inner journey to know our real worth to take this planet out of this pandemic but also for the better environment, quality life for ourselves and our future generations. Balance between materialistic life and spiritual life is a need of a time. As we are stuck in home, treat this as blessings in disguise to discover ourselves and teach our kids about it so they start practicing at this age to uplift themselves and work on inner potentials.

“Seva brings merit; merit allows you to go deeper in meditation; Meditation brings back your smile”.

    Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
