WhatsApp is currently used by about 200 million Indians daily, but the ramifications of misinformation spread on the platform during an election cycle could very well affect the entire country.

Whatsapp came into existence much later, these lynchings along with the lynchings in the name of child lifters have been there way before it. So, who benefits the most if whatsapp is discredited?
