Cleaner air, better life

Air pollution is causing irreparable damage to the country’s well-being. On an average, citizens of India have their life expectancy cut short by 5.3 years due to air pollution. In 2017, around 12.4 lakh deaths were recorded due to air pollution in India.

शिकागो विश्वविद्यालय, अमेरिका की शोध संस्था ‘एपिक’ द्वारा तैयार ‘वायु गुणवत्ता जीवन सूचकांक’ का नया विश्लेषण दर्शाता है कि छत्तीसगढ़ में वायु प्रदूषण की गंभीर स्थिति राज्य के नागरिकों की ‘जीवन प्रत्याशा’ (Life Expectancy) औसतन 3.8 वर्ष कम करती है।
