The policy places a welcome emphasis on a holistic, learner centered, flexible system that seek to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society, rightfully balancing the rootedness and pride in India as well as acceptance of the best ideas and practices in the world of learning from across the globe.
The NEP is an ambitious document, which is focused on the holistic and overall development of the students to make them Aatmnirbhar and to enable them to compete with the world while maintaining the Bharat centric values and culture.
Reviewing the NEP– first as a father of school-going kids who will be affected by the recommendations, and second as a medical doctor with a reasonable understanding of higher education in India, especially Medicine.
The author highlights major recommendations which are recommended in the report of Education Quality Upgradation and Inclusion Programme (EQUIP) by the Department of Higher Education, MHRD.
