toy manufacturing existed in India since Indus valley civilization and there is enough evidence to suggest that toys of impeccable quality were made India however we have been a laggard in the global toy industry which is estimated to be $ 90 B. India is a fringe player dominated by Chinese manufacturers.

Unlike the last decades, this year is not only different in nature of celebration due to COVID- 19 but also marks some very historic and tragic events that marked the 73rd year of Independence.

This Corona Pandemic has given us a golden opportunity to make our space. If we don't do it now we might as well write our future as being subservient to the Chinese.

Government-backed Make in India, Software Technology Park Scheme, Electronics Development Fund Policy, Atal Tinkering Mission and many more such plausible initiatives are already in place. But is it still enough? Is this emotional patriotic impulse enough to sustain?

परन्तु वर्तमान समय में पुनः स्वदेशीकरण की आवश्यकता क्यों महसूस हुई है? इसका मुख्य कारण विश्वभर में फैली कोरोना वायरस की महामारी जिसने विश्व की सप्लाई चेन की व्यवस्था को बुरी तरह प्रभावित कर दिया।
