Ali Babar Patra, a 19 y-o Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist from Pakistan was nabbed by the Indian Army. He, along with his aide carried out armed infiltration into the Indian side. His aide was neutralized after which this young chap pleaded the army to not shoot him. No wonder he underwent only three weeks of training at Garhi Habibullah camp.
He’s a perfect example of how poor teenagers are lured into joining terror outfits. He is survived by his widowed mother and adopted sister. A class 7 dropout, he had no money for his mother’s treatment. LeT used his helplessness to further their nefarious intent, he was given Rs 20,000/- for his mother’s treatment and was promised additional Rs 30,000/- after successful infiltration.
Confessing to the Indian Army, Babar said, “No one can cross over without the Pakistan Army’s involvement. Why aren’t there such tanzeems in India who send people across? I want to tell youth like me in Pakistan this jihad is wrong”.
I hope the teens of Pakistan get this loud and clear because the Indian Army is always on a hunting spree. Beware!
